Very bright light seemed to dim out and appear in another part of the lower Eastern sky. Seemed to grow brighter then dim, then appear in another part of the sky. It seemed to zig-zag when it reappeared. It seemed to be over the Travis AFB. This lasted for about 30 minutes. I used my binoculars but could only focus on it a couple times as it jumped around. It was stationary and very bright, then dimmed, then gone, then appeared in another part of the clear night sky. I have never witnessed this in 40 plus years of sky watching.

Jumping very bright red/orange slow flash zig zagging.

9:30 PM PST 08/15/2017 Clear skies, no clouds, no moon. Minimal air traffic from SFO/OAK and local small aircraft.

Naked eye star gazing, looking due East, which is somewhat void of anything bright. Travis AFB is just over the hills from my dark backyard view. The 18 new C-5's have been flying around the last few weeks and more than usual at all hours so I've had my binoculars handy.

About 60 degrees above the horizon, looking due East, I thought my eyeglasses caught a very bright light reflection so I stopped scanning and focused on the area. 10-15 seconds later another bright reddish orange long flash and then darkness. I observed this 4 times and it jumped, not slowly moving...it jumped in a zig zag motion and flashed.

I alerted my always skeptical gal to get outside to witness and she actually did. She saw a few flashes then jumps so I then grabbed my binoculars. Because it was NOT moving in a linear predictable manner or speed, I could not catch it with the binoculars, only naked eye. It seemed to be heading SE. It was far far brighter than Vega directly overhead and appeared as just a super bright flashing reddish/orange light unlike anything I've witnessed in 45 years of star gazing.

About 5 planes traversed the night sky in a normal flight path and speed during the entire observation. I've reported before and this is my 2nd report with a witness. It was NOT a star, planet, meteor, plane, helicopter or satellite.

Bright green orb/fireball traveling straight down to earth

Was driving home from work. It was a state highway but because it was after 10pm in a farming community there was little traffic. I was in an area with very little artificial light when high in the sky I noticed an unusual light. Looked up to see a bright green orb/fireball traveling what appeared to be straight down. My first thought was a firework, but it seemed to be moving at a pace quicker than a firework would free fall. I followed the ball of green light with my eyes for approximately 4-5 seconds until I lost it to the horizon. The car in front of me must have seen it as well because the road was wide open and they broke hard and pulled over. I've lived in the area for 5 years. I've driven this road alone after dark at least 3 nights a week and never seen anything like this.

Silent large white light growing and moving very slowly, then gone! I was in my backyard facing South East looking at the stars and rising Moon and from behind a tree I saw a very VERY bright and LARGE white light heading North East.

I focused on it as it moved trying to determine if it was a plane, helicopter, or satellite. It moved in a straight line and seemed to be dropping in elevation slightly. It was very quiet and I could not hear the usual helicopter compression sounds. As I focused on it, it seemed to get bigger and brighter with no visible shape other then a very bright white and large light.

It slowly moved North and seemed to drop in elevation slightly, that is when I ran in the house to grab the binoculars. Before I left, it was dead center of the large open space seen in from my backyard. When I returned with the binoculars, it was gone. Given the speed and location and how long I was gone, it should of been in about the same area but it was gone. I scanned the night sky with the binoculars and found nothing. I am confident it was NOT a satellite, star, meteor, or any type of known aircraft.

This now my 6th sighting of an unknown to me object in 40 years of gazing at the night sky. I really need to keep the binoculars near the backdoor from now on.

Long bright red triangle

Extremely bright pulsating red (long narrow) triangle heading south, moving slowly, then fast, then slow, fast, slow, then stopping. It started dimming then shot off at a tremendous speed. No sound, not a plane, blimp nor a helicopter. It may have been at 2000 feet and sure seemed very large, way larger than local military aircraft that are often seen. I've never seen or read about anything like it. It didn't have red lights, it seemed to be a big long triangle shape that was very bright red.

A large chevron shaped craft with a full array of white lights on its entire forward edge, moving very slowly.

While driving north on Highway 29 in the Napa Valley, my wife spotted an array of lights high in the sky a distance to the west. There are tall hills in that direction. It looked like a single row of stadium lights and, initially, I thought it could be lights of top of the hills in the distance. However, my wife pointed out that they were too high in the sky to be on a light pole.

The night sky was black and clear.

Then we noticed that the lights were moving towards our location at a slow rate of speed which told me it was not an aircraft making an approach into Travis AFB, nor do military aircraft have anything more than running lights. As it came closer, we could make out a shape (I called it a flying wing or boomerang) and the entire forward edge had white lights from end to end which did not appear to project a beam. We noticed that other drivers were beginning to pull to the side of the road to observe the object. We did not stop. As it passed nea! r us to our left, we got a good look at the underside as another array of red lights went on behind the white lights. The red lights appeared to go off and on randomly. It was a large dull colored craft which seemed to blend with the sky, it was moving very slowly, and it made no sound. From what I know about aviation in this country, we have nothing like it in our national inventory.

Dark metallic disc no lights or noises it moved slowly, smoothly and then sped away very quickly.

My father was standing outside on a clear pre-dusk day in the late summer. It was before dusk so there was plenty of light. He yelled out "Oh my God come take a look at this." My mom and I were in the house and it sounded like an emergency so we ran as fast as we could too my dad. He was standing outside looking at the western hills. We looked in the direction he was looking and pointing and that's when we noticed a dark metallic disc shaped thing moving slowly towards us in a diagonal direction. The disc made no noise and there were no lights. It was flying lower than a commercial or millitary plane. It was at an altitude that most of the local pilots fly. We could see the disc clearly,there was nothing to hinder our view and there was plenty of light because it was before dusk. The object moved smoothly and slowly towards us. It eventually moved over us where it hovered above us for a few seconds. I had a clear view of its underside where I noticed once again that there were no lights, it was noiseless there were no evident engine noises. I also noticed that there were no windows or doors- if there were any I couldn't see them. After a few seconds the object then began to move in the same diagonal direction towards the eastern hills where after a few seconds of travel it suddenly sped away very quickly over the hills.
