Blue light zoomed across the desert sky

A faint blue light zoomed across the entire desert sky, passing through Orion. It seemed too close to be satellite, too fast to be an aircraft (the transit took all of 15 sec across the sky), and there were no blinking lights. One witness described it changing course up and down rapidly, but I did not see that. It was not a spotlight as it flew a consistent speed and crossed the whole sky unobstructed.

Fast moving high altitude light makes impossible u turn

Approximately 45 minutes after sunset I was sitting in my front yard enjoying a cup of coffee and a pleasantly cool June evening. I was sitting under a large Indian Laurel tree that gave a clear view of a sizeable amount of sky between branches. It was a cloudless and clear night. The crescent moon and Venus were brightly lit to the west (my right). I was facing south looking up at the sky about 80 degrees above the horizon. I live approximately 12 miles from the Mexican border and this object was most likely operating in Mexican airspace. I often do this looking for satellites or space debris and occasionally the Space Station (I have an iPhone app I frequently use that identifies the debris being observed but I did not have my phone with me this time). While looking at the sky (there were two small stars visible) I observed what appeared to be a fast moving satellite moving west to east. It was just a point of light, about the same size as the star that was visible. It was at a very high altitude and moving very, very fast. I observed it for a few seconds with the intent to watch it until it went out of sight when it suddenly made an incredible u turn, reversing course in literally a second and returning in the direction it came from. I lost sight of it about 5 seconds later as it went behind tree foliage. No aircraft I know of could make a u turn at that speed and survive!

My Background: I am a 68 year old retired Supervisory Special Agent with the Dept of Homeland Security. I am also a former Police Officer and a 9 year veteran of the US Coast Guard where I served as a Search & Rescue Aircrewman in both Fixed and Rotary Wing aircraft. For 7 years while serving as a Special Agent I conducted investigations of drug smuggling involving private aircraft. I am very familiar with various types of aircraft and their performance. This isn't a very exciting report but one never knows if reporting it supports other sightings. I do have a fairly strong, but skeptical, interest in UFO related information. The recent 'disclosures' by the government leave me wondering what the 'end game' is what such disclosure is benefitting. I do know what I saw, according to modern physics, should not have been possible.

While looking at my security camera screen I noticed 2 silver objects hovering about 15000ft above ground and about 10 miles south of me. I immediately went outside and looked for the objects. Objects where still in the same location for about 2hrs. I have pictures and security camera footage of the objects.. there has been other objects present around the same location for several weeks now, almost in a daily basis.

Strange "blimp-like" object seen hovering over desert where military practice.

I was onboard a commercial flight from San Diego to Newark on July 7, 2021. We flew east from San Diego along the US/Mexico border. I was on the left side of the plane so I could see the US side of the border. I knew from monitoring FlightRadar24 that there was an area east of El Centro, CA., where I typically notice military aircraft flying. So as we were nearing that area, I was looking out the window wondering if I would see any military aircraft. At about 12:45, I saw a strange silvery-white object hovering over the ground below and to the left of our flight path. If I had to guess, it appeared to be about 2500 feet AGL and we were at about 20000 feet AGL at that time. The object appeared to be stationary. I remember thinking that it exhibited the flight characteristics of a tethered balloon. I snapped a photo of the object. I blew the photo up and it almost looks like a short, fat blimp with a weird protrusion on the right rear side. I am thi! nking that this may be some sort of military craft or drone, but I have no idea. I assumed that it was stationary since we were moving quite fast and I lost sight of the object as we passed and my view became obstructed by the wing of our aircraft. I will submit the photo and the blown up version to you via email.

Strange line of lights, can't explain

So I live near a military base and I am quite familiar with all the aircraft that land nearby or conduct exercises. I can always hear them I can differentiate weather it's a helicopter, osprey, jet. I can also see their lights on them.

This time though I couldn't here a sound or see any wing or tail lights. I'm not one to jump to conclusions, I stayed around for a couple of minutes to see, well, anything. To my shock,there was nothing that I know could of caused what I just witnessed.

It was two bright yellow lights in the night sky, when out of nowhere in a straight line they became 15, 25, 30 lights. They were standing still for a while, then they disappeared, and one reappeared and the same thing happened again like 30 new bright yellow lights appeared. They were there for 15 seconds then finally they all vanished.

For some reason I kept thinking that it was like a train of lights in the sky making not a single sound and with no smoke or clouds as far as th! e eye can see.

Strange lights over El Centro, CA that do not move

I was on my deck and could see these lights that I assumed were a Border Patrol helicopter, but after 15 minutes it did not move at all. I went inside and got my binoculars, and viewed the object. It seemed circular and the lights seemed to change color and were around it.

After 20 minutes I went inside to see if anyone else had made a post about it on the internet. I went back outside and continued to watch it when it got very bright and shot sideways and just vanished. Normally we can hear the helicopters this was silent.

I am very used to seeing night crop dusting planes and helicopters this was neither. It just stayed in one place until it moved and disappeared. It was between El Centro and Ocotillo over the mountain range. I almost thought it was a star for awhile but seemed way too low. Just when I had convinced myself it was a star because it was just hovering in one spot it got bright and sped to the right towards the airport. I would have seen it as if it were coming into the airport it would have gotten closer to me. Instead it just went straight in a line and vanished. I sure would like to know what this was.

UFO acted as a vehicle.

Friday morning we left to go to a concert and I was responsible fro driving us back, from Ocotillo, CA to Phoenix, AZ and back. The concert ended shortly before midnight and we started our way back home. Nothing unusual happened most of the way until we reached the last border check point about 20 or so miles east of El Centro. The odd thing about it was that there was no one stationed at the checkpoint, I slowed down then just drove away since no one was around it. The vehicle behind me stayed. 5-10 miles passed it I ended up being pulled over by California Border Patrol (Very common government force in the area for obvious reasons) as a normal routine. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Then about a few more miles in a slightly vehicle populated freeway. I noticed something what looked like a plane was going to land in the distance because it had a slowly flashing red and white light. I was a little surprised considering there was no airports for over 40 miles. What happened next, blew me away.

It turned on two front light sources, like a standard car and followed the path of a small bridge we were going to pass under. It's common that roads go over highways so a small bridge is formed. I thought at first it was just a car and the plane probably went behind it and out of view. However, this was not the case. Whatever was flying the craft, imitated a vehicle on the road. I turned into disbelief as soon as I saw the "headlight" that was at the front of the craft started to roll leftwards and rightwards in about 60 degree angles at fast paces. it went passed the bridge and flew over the small pasture. I pointed it out to my sleepy friends and noticed a small faint light was glowing in and out. It honestly looked like it fainted into the sky but it then turned around and started flying low, headlights turned back on and it was literally 2 feet off the ground. I was traveling 80mph and this thing accelerated real fast. For a moment there, it looked like we wer! e both going to collide. Before it hit the freeway it turned its headlights off(headlights kind of dimmed out) and flew up and over the freeway. Saw the red and white light underneath it. As it was flying away I noticed a small hole at the back of it that looked yellow, similar to a jet engine but probably no bigger than a steering wheel. It was about the length of a car, gray, no taller than 3 feet, elongated. Then I drove under the bridge, trying to keep an eye on it. Literally right after the bridge there was a bright light to the right of us that shined on us for a split second like a camera flash. The vehicle did not make any noise at all.

:25 PM + 8:50 PM + 9:15 PM Wed Apr 18, 2012 With bonoculars, saw 3rd sight = FLEET OF UFO

A bit shaky...At 8:25 PM was looking up at Western Sky here in El Centro, CA and saw something opaque with no defined shape as a could see. I Stayed there and saw the same thing at 8:50 PM (pacific time)and timed the space between sighting...25 minute apart. Thinking that maybe this thing would go by I got my bonoculars and persisted to stay VIGILANT of the souther sky. Sure enough, as nervous as I feel/uneasy, at 9:15 PM I spotted the same "mass" coming from the south. By this time I had planned EXACTLY whatI'd do..toss my glasses (I'm near-sighted) on the soft partof the lawn and know exactly at about what altitidue and spot to "point" the bonoculars. I did just these these and with my bonoculars followed and saw A FLEET OF VERY, VERY, FAST METAL LOOKING OBJECTS!!!!!!!!!!! 8:25 PM + 8:50 PM + 9:15 PM (25 min apart sighting 1 - 2 25 min apart from sighting 2-3. This is truely frightening.

On 08/13/2011 around the time of 9:13 pm Saturday the same object was seen in the Imperial Valley, California.

I was driving back from the Jack in the Box restaurant and going home. When I made the right turned toward my house, I notice an older couple pointing toward the northwest sky, so I decide to pull over and see what they were pointing at.

As I pulled over I looked up to that direction and to my surprise it was the same object I saw observed yesterday Friday August 12, 2011. This object had the same curtsies as the object I was yesterday. This object was heading northeast coming from the southwest direction moving in a slow speed toward the northeast, about 5000 feet in the air not making any noise or leaving a smoke trail .

This object didn’t even have the blinking lights like an airplane has; it wasn’t even a satellite it just moved at a normal speed like it was just looking and not doing anything else.

Last night on 08/12/2011 at around 0800 and 0915 hrs, I was watering the front lawn of my house and I saw a helicopter flying around the area, shining the area with its spot light like looking for something or someone. At first I through it was the Border Patrol Flying around looking for persons, but I saw them move toward town and pay no attention to them. The moon was bright as day last night, when something caught my eye and I looked up to the sky.

I saw this bright light kind of white blue light fly slow moving toward the northeast. To me this object looked like it was checking out our area moving slowly, but the funny thing is that there were no blinking lights like regular airplanes and not making any noise of any kind. I just looked at it for a while slowly moving over the sky like nothing to worry about I didn’t have a camera or a video camera to take a snap shot, but what can you expect . When I’m outside watering the lawn I don’t expect to be looking up to the sky. I’m watering my lawn.

Over to the south I saw the helicopter going in circles looking around the area and not making contact toward this object, it was kind of strange. This object slowly moved toward the northeast some were the area of the chocolate mountains area and vanishes up to the sky.

For the fifth time this year, I saw these objects flying past the Imperial Valley and they just past through our area and vanish. Very strange sightings! The next day 08/13/2011 my sister-in-law calls my wife and informs her that last night there were three helicopters flying over the city of El Centro, California, she said it looked strange that there were these helicopters flying over like looking for something.

Dark illuminated object landed on my neighbors roof!!!

From out of a dark sky, out came a craft which seem to extrude from a bright white star, oddly it had no light, it seemed to be illuminated by the sky. No sounds were heard, it flew down to the top of my neighbors house(5-6 yards away) and sat there (Metal appeared to be attached to pontoon type landing equipment, it had a cylinder shape) as I shined my flashlight at it. The craft stayed from 2-5 minutes; It then lifted off and smoothly flew back up to clouds towards the east.

Metallic cylinder tracks parallel with commercial jet near restricted MOAs

I am a pilot and have been flying for over 30 years, so I am familiar with all types of aircraft and weather conditions. While on commercial flights I typically follow the flight progress by looking for airports below and trying to figure out our position.

My wife and I were flying out of San Diego on a commercial flight on 16 April that departed about 3 pm local time. We were seated a few rows in front of the wing of the MD-80.

About fifteen minutes out of San Diego we passed over three very remote airports at an altitude I would estimate as between 12,000 and 15,000 AGL. The area is desert mountains and is very rugged. The last airport I saw was marked "US NAVY" on the approach end of the northwest-facing runway (about 320 degrees). From referring back to aviation sectional maps I believe we were just south of El Centro, AZ, which is located in an area of highly restricted MOAs (Military Operational areas). I have noted that the sectional maps warn that there is a tethered surveillance aerostat (blimp) north of El Centro at between 5,000 and 15,000 ft MSL. What we observed was clearly not a blimp.

About a minute after we passed over the US Navy landing strip, which was situated between two small mountain ranges we both observed a large, extremely bright and shiny metallic cylindrical object below us, on the opposite side of the eastern range about 20 miles from the airfield. The cylinder was oriented north/south. Based on its relative size, I initially I assumed it was another commercial jet traveling about 2 miles to the north of our track and a few thousand feet below us, but I could see no wings or tail or markings.

As our jet flew eastward we observed the ground gradually disappear beneath our wing and as the Navy landing strip disappeared we noted that the metallic cylinder was not moving away from us but was nearly keeping pace with our aircraft, although we were moving slightly faster. What was most interesting was that the cylinder was oriented perpendicular to us but traveling parallel to us. The craft did not move northward; it was flying perpendicular to how a normal aircraft would move.

Realizing that this was highly unusual, I now spent some time trying to calculate the size and distance of the craft, based on my experience with visual cues at altitude. Based on the ground detail and runway appearance, I would guess that we were at 15,000 ft AGL. By comparing the observable detail on the cylinder, which consisted of two parallel lines running almost the full length of the craft as well as some slight variations of surface texture on the highly polished surface, I would guess that the craft was three to four hundred feet in length and traveling eastward at about 7,000 AGL. The craft continued to travel in an eastward direction, running parallel with our jet, until it disappeared from view beneath our wing.

It was around nine thirty at night. I began to walk out of my car that I had parked in front of my house. As I began to walk the stretch to my house I noticed four lights that were horizontal that I could tell that they were on craft but I could not see the craft. It traveled at a very fast speed. I have never seen anything in my life traveling so fast. The lights were white and they did not flash and no other red lights were present like they appear on airplanes. The shape went over my house and as it traveled over my head I could not hear a sound. It was a dead silence that I could not explain. The lights turned vertical as it was passing by my head. The lights did not break their form. I could tell that the craft just turned and it did not slow down. As I turned my head the craft kept on going and I saw it for another two seconds before the lights went out. I was left with an eerie feeling about what I had just seen.

Lots of light in Imperial Valley

Ok, I'm not quite sure how this all works, but I think I've got some interesting stuff to share. It was the summer of 2001 and I lived in San Diego. Once or twice a week I would come down to the Imperial Valley and hang out with mith my friends and family. There is a Navy base there and an airport, so we're all used to seeing plains in the sky. That summer though there seem to be this big influx of activity. It would always occur between 10pm and 1:30am sometimes later. We were big smokers and chatter bugs, so we'd be out all night long smoking at chatting away. My budy and I had seen our share of "UFO's" before; living near a Navy base. Anyway, It all started one night when we happened to a small white light seemingly drop straight down into the sky off to the east of his house. It stopped for a second and then shot off south and dissapeared. Then another did the same thing only it appeared further south and shot off north. Then the eastern sky was repeatedly being adorned with these small white lights dropping in and then shooting off. Three, four, and five at a time, and in different directions. We started getting all excited and I went in to grab my camcorder. I pointed the camera at the occurance and hoped. It was very dark and the lights seemed far away. I also shot a plain, a helicopter, and a planet that was in the sky that night for brightness reference. After about thirty mins or so the event died down. I remember thinking to myself "I wonder if they are directly above us too." I looked up and sure enough one drooped in right over my head and then shot away. It was the last one we saw that night. Apon later review of the tape everything showed up except for the stange lights. There seemed to be an awful lot of static in the picture as well. This dance of objects went on durring many of my trips. Never quite as dramatic as the first night, but we came to regard it as "The Show" We would show other of our friends when they's hang out with us. Sometimes when coming down the mountains from San Diego I'd be able to see them, and I'd call my friend in the Imperial Valley. We'd both watch them from either side. Telling eachother what we were seeing as sometimes one of us would lose sight of it or them.

The other major one we saw was very similar sounding to some that I've read on this sight. We were out one night waiting for "The Show," and dissapointed we disided to go inside. My friend even coaxed "them" by saying out load in a humoring tone "We are going inside now!" And took large exagerated steps towards the door. He then realized that he had to put out the trash. As he rolled then trash container out to the street I looked back at him to see his jaw drop. "What?" I asked. "Come here" he said, "look at this." I walked slowly over to him, expecting that what-ever he had seen would be gone by the time I got there. But to my surprise he pointed out a rather large seeming reddish orange glowing object moving extreemly slow and low off in the distance. It appeared to be on the other (west) side of the city. We followed it as it traveld north east. It was strange, seeming to grow and shrink, or rather brighten and dim. Being night time that's all I could gather of the shape. It would even stop at times, and then continue. It also would blink out and then reapear about 10 to 20 degrees further north east. As it was now dirrectly north of us we gaged it to be somewhere between Imperial and El Centro. It began flashing more quickly now, and seem to drop a couple glowing balls of light that seemed to float down like a flare or feather, waivering back and forth and getting dimmer the lower they went blacking out completely at 50-100 feet. It began blinking faster and faster and dopping more and objects until it just kind of went out looking like when you throw a cigarette out the window of a car and it hits the ground. Just a bunch of light fading embers, then nothing.

I'm sure I wrote too much, but this is a collection of UFO sightings right? I wish I had more specific dates for you. I'm going to check my old tapes, and see if I can figure it out. I was 19 at the time going to Comunnity college in San Diego, and managing three stores. My friend was a pizza delivery boy 26 and going to Community college in Imperial.

To date I am still quite upset of what I (and later my mother) saw. I was standing at a nearby corner, looking up at a no-longer-in-use water tower sitting on the lot next door. I turned my head northward to watch an east-moving plane--I like to see the "tail" they leave behind. I then saw a north traveling object; it was moving ever so gently, as if just glidding. I was so shocked because I observed I was about to witness a mid-air collision. This very very shiny object, (like shine coming from a high gloss metal like chrome) went: (AS THE JET WAS TRAVELING EAST) 1. North 2. Up and over the jet then under it 3. and Over it again Like a wrapping motion-1 1/2 turns. Then this object that looked like a manta raya traveled towards my direction (in southerly direction. I did not keep my eye off it. It moved very slowly, gently, swaying very gently towards south-western direction --towards the mexican border. about an hour later, my mother called me from Laguna Nigeuel in Calif. She said something like: Honey, put everything down, I need to tell you something I just saw (fm her kitchen window). I stopped her from talking further and told her to stop and let me tell her what I had seen. We both described the object in the exact manner: a metal object that looked like a manta raya or sting ray, moving very gently, no vapor trail... We know what we saw. And so did the pilot moving east on this day

We saw a metallic silver cigar shaped object flying slowly from N to S, it turned away, turned transparent and then dissappeared.

A friend and I were driving from El Centro to San Diego West on Highway 8 in the mountains approximately 50 miles East of San Diego. The elevation was 4100 feet. We had just passed a sign, so that is how I know it was that elevation. I was driving, and something made me look to the sky above the mountains to my in a Northwest direction - I think it was the movement in the sky. I was surprised to see something that was clearly not a plane because it had no wings or tail, no lights, and no trail behind it. It looked like a silver metallic cigar-shaped craft that with rounded edges, and was larger at one end (the left as I was looking at it) than the other. I could not see if it had windows, but it was very large. I am not a pilot so have no reference for size, but my guess is that it was quite a bit larger than an airplane. The object was moving very slowly from North to South just above the peak of a mountain. It would periodically slow down and then speed up. I said to my friend a couple of seconds after I first sighted it - "((name deleted)), what the heck is that?" To which she replied that she had no idea, and that she had already been watching it for at least 1 - 1 1/2 minutes and was trying to figure that out herself. She kept thinking (and hoping) it would show some wings or something to indicate that it was a plane. We both got very excited and said "oh my God, I think it is a UFO" at the same time! At that point I looked at my watch to verify time, and it said 4:20 PM. The sun was setting in the West, and it caused the craft to shine quite brightly. We were behind a mountain at the time, so the sun was not shining in our eyes. I did look for signs for some reference as to the exact point, but there were none around. There are quite a few mountains in this area. We both watched the object for approximately 30 seconds, and were discussing it when it took a 90-degree turn very quickly due West, became transparent, and then disappeared. ((Name deleted)) did not witness it becoming transparent first, only that it disappeared instantly. We believe she must have blinked during this time because that is how fast it occurred. I then pulled over on the side of the road and grabbed my camera and video camera in case it came back, because at that point I was convinced that I saw something otherworldly or perhaps an experimental craft of some type. We both remarked how it began to move away as we were talking about it. We then kept looking to see if we would see anything further, or perhaps see planes in the area that would indicate a flight line to or from an airport, but saw nothing until we reached the San Diego Area. We saw no planes or helicopters whatsoever going to or from El Centro at all once we reached the mountains. We are from the Midwest and are unfamiliar with mountains, but perhaps a topographical map would indicate the tallest one (the one we were on) for a better reference. ((name deleted)) had never seen a UFO in her life (she is now 53), and is convinced that this was a UFO. I should also mention that ((name deleted)) was driving first, and then I got very sick and made her let me drive to minimize the sickness. I do get carsick, but this time was probably the worst I've ever felt. Also, about 10 minutes after the sighting, I was compelled to pull off to the side of the road to collect rocks two times. The second time, we pulled 100 feet behind a stalled van, and right as I returned to the car I looked in the rear view mirror and saw a semi truck cab driving at around 90 MPH on the side of the road straight for us. Just before it would have hit us, it swerved back onto the highway. I have the overwhelming feeling that that was a message of some sort.

I was with my girlfriend, camping in the Anza Borrego desert in November 1997, at about 8pm. I looked up to the south and observed a huge ball of white/yellow fire (no tail) moving from west to east. It stayed on a lateral path, never dipping or losing altitude until is quickly went from horizon to horizon just missing Earth. It was silent and was not burning up at all. It just moved very quickly in space. I guessed it was a near earth asteroid, big and fast. If I extended my arm/hand the size would be about a golf ball to tennis ball in size, huge, dangerous and flying through space, very impressive. I have been an Art Bell listener since 1994 and always enjoyed your shows with him. RIP Mr Bell and keep up the good work, Peter.

PS I searched the internet and other sources and there were no other reports from that vicinity. I imagine NASA was watching is closely and were grateful it never collided with Earth or else this email would be moot. Thank you.

The big v shape UFO was moving in a slow motion towards the super Kmart in El Centro CA. when I saw it outside the store.

The UFO was like a v shape. It was silent and going very slow and low. It was coming from the east, to the west. It went over two fast food restaurants. The UFO had few ligths but it was huge,and big. the atmosphere felt real quiet.

I was driving east on Interstate 8 just west of el centro california., I was a truck driver back then and my partner was in the bunk sleeping.,I,m trying to get to yuma, Arizona for our last pick up., before heading home to south carolina.,there was no traffic at all, just a boring drive with no one to talk to on the cb/it was a clear day,sunny and hot...something caught my eye in the distance, a long black line low in the sky with a tiny dot in back of it...it seemed to be just south of the interstate coming n nw right towards me.. As it got closer it got bigger and I estamated it to be several hundred feet long and it was only up at about 400 ft in altitude...I now can see what was behind it..A F-16 FIGHTER JET...It crossed over the hywy right in front of me and banked left..that's when I saw the whole shape of it//A Triangle, BLACK - NO LIGHTS- NO MARKINGS- It had a matte finish to it..I est. the speed to be around 600 mph//Too slow to be called a chase,.The F-16 just stayed on the left rear corner of it like it was filming it or something.,I found that to be strange...this could have been an early type BBD BLACK PROJECT type of craft...any way,it banked left and was gone from my site,It headed west north west..I didn't say anything to my partner, All I thought was how can something that big ever get off the ground.. 250 to 300 ft per side? what do you think?

Two large, apparently sperical objects, glowing brightly in the deep red, approached from behind, passed overhead, and into distance.

I was travelling east on the interstate that passes through El Centro, approaching it but still maybe 10-20 miles west, when I noticed an unusual glow and realized that it was coming from above and behind me. There were two large, apparently spherical objects, moving in absolute lockstep as though tied together structually, although I couldn't see any such connection, glowing so brightly that they lit up the desert with an erie deep red, possibly monochromatic light, displaying no other detail than two perfect circles of red light, which, at closest approach, each occupied about as much space in the sky as does a full moon. They passed almost directly overhead, at a stately pace, and then seemed to very gradually accelerate and bank off to the left, moving rather quickly by the time they disappeared from sight. I stopped and took a motel room in El Centro, and heard on the news that either one or two helicopters (two I think, but I'm not sure on this point) from a nearby military base had crashed or somehow been destroyed that same evening. I, of course, immediately assumed a connection, but made no attempt to report what I'd seen. There were other cars on the highway, so there must have been other witnesses, but I have no idea who or how many.

orange nocturnal light

This happened when I was a young child. The date is based on a similar report I read about in Kevin Randle's _The UFO Casebook_(p. 141). My mother, grandmother, and I had stopped for dinner in El Centro, CA, and were westbound on I-8 when we observed a very bright, orange light to the north. Soon, the object began to emit a cloud of smoke or vapor, which was greyish- white. The light "blinked out" and then came back on several times during the sighting (I don't remember exactly how many times), leaving the cloud hanging. The light was stationary (yet it seemed to "move with us" as we travelled down the freeway) and was approx. 20 degrees above the horizon. My mother and grandmother were panicking, I was was very scared at one point and hiding my eyes; it was then that I heard them exclaiming that several smaller lights were emerging from the light, flew around it, then returned to it. Unfortunately, I myself did not witness this. Finally, the light went out permanently and the cloud dissipated. One strange feature of this event was that our car was being tailgated by a semi during the duration of the sighting, rather relentlessly (I remember we were in the slow lane the whole time, but don't recall if my grandmother, who was driving, tried to "shake" the tailgater at any point by changing lanes). I'm posting this primarily to find out if anyone else was a witness to this, even though it was long ago.
