I was walking back home from the local market at about 10:25 or so listening to my iPhone and selecting a song to listen to so my attention was directed towards the ground naturally looking into my device, when all of a sudden a bright white light lit up the dark back street I was using to get back home which I use frequently,I was suddenly lit up with a bright white light through out the neighbor hood and valley,

I was startled of course so I looked everywhere and up to see a rocket like figure almost like a space ship, human of course, like the Apollo darting across the sky, but very bright and white, and much larger, it lasted only a half a second,

I don't believe it's alien but extraordinary, living in this area we have many mililltary bases near by including china lake so I'm used to it but ((deleted)) it was cool!!

Bright white light seen over White Mountains

Our group of five were camped near Big Pine, California. At 22:36 Hours on June 16, 2014, my brother and I were looking north east towards the White Mountains. We saw what at first appeared to be a satellite on a north to south orbit. We realized this white light was brighter than any satellite we had ever seen and appeared to be within the atmosphere. It followed the crest of the mountains. During the approximate 20 seconds the light was visible it travelled from White Mountain in our north east to a position due east before blinking out.

We heard no noise signature coming from this light. It had no aircraft navigation lights or strobes.

Huge Black Object with no Lights hovering around Mountians near Mt Whitney

Tuesday, December 5th 2006, approximately 7:30 pm I was sitting in the passenger seat of our van. We were driving home from a show in Reno and we were on the 395 heading south. We were passing through a town called Big Pines near Mt Whitney and it was around 7:30 at night. The moon was very full that night so the sky was pretty well lit.

I looked up towards the mountains on the east side of the highway, towards Nevada when I saw this enormous black object. It was right above the mountain range and then it disappeared.

Our driver exclaimed, "Did you see that?"and yes, I did.

It looked like the size of a city block in the sky. It as completely black, no lights at all and seemed to have an angular piece, like some kind of wing sticking out. It was hard to make out the entire shape.

We only saw it for a few seconds when it vanished into or on the other side of the mountains somewhere.

Needless to say, we were dumbstruck!

We spoke with this witness via telephone, and she sounded to be quite mature and sober-minded to us. We suspect that she and her friends witnessed something unusual. PD

3 objects take off from mountains near Big Ears site

For the 4th of July my girlfriend and I went camping at Owen's River in Owen's Valley near Big Pine and the Big Ears station. Our campsite was on the eastern bank of the river approximately 150-200 yards north of the Taboose Creek river crossing. At around 8 P.M., we watched the Independence firework display (approximately 30 miles south), as well as the occasional displays over Bishop (approximately 25-30 miles north). At around 9 o'clock, when most of the fireworks had stopped, my girlfriend sighted a strange object in the sky east of our camp. By my reckoning, the object was about 3 miles east and between 500 and 800 feet in the air. It hovered just above the top of a peak in the White Mountain Range. From our vantage point, near the easternmost side of the valley, the object appeared to be about the size of a dime, and had a three-layered disk shape (the top and bottom sides more narrow than the center layer, similar to a hamburger shape). Around the middle of the object were a series of revolving lights. They turned in sequence... YELLOW-ORANGE-PINK-RED-WHITE etc., etc. Thge object hovered over the mountains for about 30 minutes, in which time it sporactically darted from place to place, excelerating rapidly then gliding to a stop in diagnol, horizontal, and vertical movements. At one point, the object came closer to our campsite, growing to about the size of a quarter. From it, several beams of white lit up the mountain side and base. The pattern appeared very clearly on the ground, consisting of about 20 to 30 white circles spaced out and forming a hexagon in it's entirety. This light moved over the ground and the side of the mountain like a search light, and at one point actually lit up the tree just above where we were sitting in the bed of my truck. I think it is important to note here that my rottweiler Tank was also aware of the object at this time. He sat at the tail gate of my truck in a guard position and watched the desert around us to the east. He did this! fully alert for some hours. It may be equally important to note that at this time we were yelling back and forth to some other campers about 100 yeard up river to our north who were all watching the same event. Sometime after the the white lights stopped, the object retreated back towards the mountain, at which time it emitted a second series of lights which included a red horizontal beam which hit the mountain side at regular intervuls. This sequence was always followed by a series of vertical lights which scanned over the same area. It appeared to me like a grid. It was during this time (about 1 hour), that my girlfriend noticed another light go up from the mountain. It appeared to have the same shape and spinning lights at as the first, but was much smaller in comparison (if it had indeed taken off from the mountain top, then it would have been a few miles behind the original object. It is very likely that they were actually the same size). Shortly after the second object started to gain alttitude, a third object took off from the mountain from the same area as the first. It was also the same shape as the other two with the same lights, and was the same size as the smaller of the two others. This object drifted straight up while the one that had gone up before it drifted diagnally to the right (or south). The time between the two take-offs was somewhere between 2 and 3 minutes, at which time the grid-like lights from the first object had ceased and it darted upwards to a great height at great speed. The lowest of the objects (the last to "take off"), stopped climbing for about a minute. It was at this time that we saw a red beam flash beneath it to the mountain top, followed a second later by a strange rushing sound. After this, the three drifted upwards in unison for a few more minutes, then one by one, the revolving lights of each stopped turning and the objects became solid white lights against the black night. It occured to me at this point that they looked remarkably like stars. W! ith the exception of the largest object, they were almost indistinguishable from other stars, almost. They drifted straight upwards in a triangular pattern which they held for hours. The only way I could keep my eyes on them (my eyes were beginning to become confused by the abundance of stars that night and focusing on just one or two lights became increasingly more difficult), was by comparing their drifting movements to that of other stars (the three moved significantly faster than other constellations). I watched them drift upwards until early morning, in which the light of the sun made them impossible to see. I did, however, catch a glimpse of the a metallic reflection high above before the sun broke fully into my eyes. It might be important to note that in the morning, I could see the area where the two had taken off from, and there seemed to be a trail of smoke or vapor which started at the top of the mountain. I fell asleep sometime early in the morning, but was awakened by the sound of two jets (F-16s by the look of them) flying low through the valley and circling the mountain top where we had seen the objects just hours before. The fighters left and came back many times during the day (assuming that they were the same planes), until it started raining around 5 in the afternoon and after that they never returned. It was a very strange 4th of July for me and one that my girlfriend and I will never forget.

strange car occupants?

((two names deleted)). Camping Trip (not real names)
Year: July or August 2000

Coming down Route 395, south from Big Pine Camp Grounds just west of the Coso Range and Mohave Range

((name deleted--male)) was driving, ((name deleted--female)) was in front passenger seat.
Relationship: Close Friends, No drugs or achohol.
Coming home to L.A. from camping in Big Pine.
Religious beliefs: Reformed Jewish/Both college degreed Professionals.

Desert, vacant- two lane road hilly area.

Traveling speed about 55 mph Suspect vehicle traveling much slower at 35 mph

No traffic on road, late/dusk afternoon, dusk temp relatively warm -70’s
Event Duration: 15-20 seconds

Non descript 4 door sedan, dirty/dusty older model Approaching vehicle ((male's)) initial thought was ‘Why in the hell are they going so slow on a vacant road in the middle of nowhere?’
Suspect Vehicle passenger description: Two in front, two in back.

Driver had a fishing hat on, seemed like an older man (the driver appeared small/short) Something seemed odd. What immediately caused ((male and female witnesses)) to notice that something was weird was that all three passengers looked exactly the same from the back- all three were identical: weird shape, thin heads, pineapple shape with Harpo Marx-type curly blond wigs, and in strange positions, resembling manikins, in identical upright stiff positions with heads leaning over as if they were sleeping or passed out, and they did not move at all.

Upon passing ((male)) had an incredible feeling to put as much distance between them and the strange car.

The (male's) disconcerting/freaky feeling was not communicated to ((female)) until further down the road when both admitted they had had very strange feelings about it.

((female's)) Comments: "Upon approaching and passing the car, all I kept thinking was that something about the three passengers in the car was not right- the shapes and sizes of their heads did not seem human. It was a disassociating feeling that something was WRONG, but my mind could not process it until well after we passed."

((male)):"We were joking about it further down the road and half-way wanted to slow down, and let them pass again, to get a better look, but decided against it, still feeling the effects of initial fear."

End(poster's) notes: This happened a while ago. It was just spoken to (my family and I) in casual Christmas/New Years family dinner (non-alcohol) conversation. While I am very interested in all aspects of Paranormal Research, they are not. They are professionals, mid thirties, and not prone to sensationalism. Both individuals prefer to remain anonymous. I took notes on what they were saying and did not -to the best of my knowledge- attempt to lead them on. They reviewed the notes and added to them until final approval. They both agreed to submit to hypnosis, which has not been done, but might be very interesting.

Unfortunately, their visit with us is almost over.

Mysterious lights in the Owens Valley California

We were camped on a small island made by a stream that split and came back together before emptying into the Owens River. It was about one in the morning and the campfire was beginning to wane. One of us, I don't remember who, got up to relieve himself. Following the rules we learned in the Boyscouts, our "head" was off the island and 100 feet away from the water. It was in a field of large volcanic rocks and sage brush. My friend, not familiar with the Owens Valley, called to us and asked why there were searchlights flashing in the distance. We had no idea what he was talking about so we joined him in the rock field. We saw what was definately beams of artificial light being shined in many directions at once much like a disco ball. The spots of light hit the steep slopes of the Eastern Sierra on our side of the valley and on the White/Inyo Mountains across the valley. We couldn't see the source of the lights because Crater Mountain was directly between our campsite and the light source. Crater Mountain was four miles south of our location, approximately. Whatever the lights were, they were over four miles away and powerful enough to illuminate both sides of the valley. We joked that it was a secret "Rave". Others kidded about it being the advanced landing party of the ID4 aliens. In truth, none of us could explain the lights.
