I'm a truck driver and I've seen the reddish/orange balls of light before. But never this close. One passed over my truck from east to west on Highway 119 just outside of Taft, California, at 4:50 am today May 4th.

This was not an aircraft and it was not a Chinese lantern… There was no flicker of fire or blinking lights. I estimate it was less than a quarter mile above me, and maybe the size of a yoga ball.

I was able to grab my phone and snap 3 photos before it was out of view. The pictures are very interesting!!

Reflective pyrimid shaped object hovering and rotating for 30 min. heading NW very slowly

SAW OBJECT HANGING IN THE SKI , AND APPEARED TO ROTATE CLOCKWISE . THE MORNING SUN REFLECTED OFF THE SURFACE OF THE CRAFT .

IT WAS IN ONE PLACE FOR 30 MIN. BEFORE IT STARTED SLOWLY MOVING TO THE NORTHWEST , AND EVENTUALLY OUT OF SIGHT .

IT APPEARED PYRIMID SHAPED AND VERY REFLECTIVE AS IF IT WAS A CHROME SURFACE. THE SKY WAS PERFECTLY BLUE.

NO CLOUDS. OBJECT APPEARED TO BE ABOUT 5000 FEET UP.

2 OBJECTS TRAILING APROX 10 MILES BEHIND A LEADING OBJECT. THE 2 TRAILING OBJECTS MERGED TOGETHER, THEN SEPERATED.

ALL 3 OBJECTS DISAPPEARED AT SAME TIME.

SIZE OF OBJECTS COULD NOT BE DETERMINED, BUT APPEARED TO BE MUCH LARGER THAN A PASSENGER PLANE WOULD AT SAME ALT. THESE DETERMINATIONS ARE BASED ON OUR EXPERIENCE AS PILOTS AND YACHTSMEN.

WE ARE BOTH SENIORS WITH 40 YEARS FLIGHT AND SAILING EXPERIENCE.

Six navy like ships going east to west and one cloaked

In the summer of 2010 in Taft, California, I was looking through night vision glasses and saw six ships (a cross between a destroyer and aircraft carrier). They were going from east to west. I could only see three at a time because they were so large and low in altitude.

Each set of three was in a chevron formation. When I looked back at the first formation, the ship at the top disappeared. I think it cloaked because where the ship was there was a difference in the grey color of the sky. There were irregular sparkling areas around the outside edge of the grey color. The ships were moving fast, it was only 10-15 seconds that I saw them through the night vision glasses. My husband was standing next to me and he could not see them without glasses. By the time he took the glasses the ships were out of sight. We heard no noise.

I think these ships could be part of our secret space program.

A cluster of lights interchanging and changing color.

The other night, I was driving home in the farm lands. I was taking a shortcut home. As I was driving, I believe I saw something. This something was hovering, about 20-30 feet above ground. It was just off the road maybe only 50 ft or so. I didn’t know what it was, due to the fact, I have never seen anything like this in my life. I didn’t know what to do, whether I should stop what I was doing and try to get a better look at this object, or if I should’ve fled away being afraid of what could possibly happen. I was somewhat scared, because it was abnormal and it was so close to me. This object was so close to me, that I could have thrown a rock at it and I would’ve definitely hit it. Being so afraid and uncertain of what I was seeing, I just kept driving, but only faster. I didn’t tell anybody because I didn’t want people to think I was hallucinating or something.

Now to describe this object. I saw a cluster of lights. The lights were not in a row or any formation. They were not in a sequence or in any pattern to form a shape of the object. They were spread out. They changed color. All of the lights changed color at the same time. At first the lights were a whitish color. Then they changed to a blue-grean or teal color. Next they appeared in a reddish or red-orange color. They flashed or should I say switched position. One light would go out and another one would light up. They switched from light to light extremely fast and again, not in any pattern or sequence. This flashing of lights made it hard to identify its shape. I could not make out the body of the object because of the scrambling lights. When the lights changed from light to light, it was like there was a streak of light following behind it, kind of like a tracer. This object didn’t appear to be on the ground, but very close to it. And it wasn’t moving, and if it was it was cruising very slowly.

After seeing this, I was not sure of what to do. I was so astonished, I couldn’t believe what I had just seen. I thought there was some kind of mistake or I was just seeing things. I never really put too much thought into this sighting. I never really believed in these sightings that others reported. I was just online at MSN.COM and I saw an article about a recent sighting in Texas. There was a video of the witness talking to the news crew. He was describing what he had seen. The way he described the object was a very accurate description of what I saw. I should have made this report a lot sooner. But me seeing this video of the witness and him describing the sighting, pushed me to make a report. Maybe my info could help you all out in some way.

Elliptical objects in skies over Taft, CA sighted in the afternoon

A group of skydivers, including two professional pilots, at 3pm in the afternoon saw four white objects in the sky - very high, one pilot estimated 40 to 50,000 feet. When observed with binoculars the objects appeared elliptical in shape and greyish white.

The four objects appeared to move in geometrical formations, at first in a straight line, then forming a square, a triangle of sorts and then a straight line again.

Everyone observed the objects for half an hour - then decided to go back to skydiving as the objects continued to move in formations, but did not appear to move closer or further away.

3 lit objects fly high over San Joaquin Valley, move around and stay about one hour, viewed from Taft, Ca.

I was out walking, right at dark. I was talking with some friends when I looked up to the West and I saw a light coming East. This light was up very high, looked like a star. I pointed it out to my friends and we watched it. It was going East very fast, and all of a sudden when it got overhead it was going North as fast as it was going East. This light did not turn, just changed directions. When it went North it continued to move around zig zag with the very sharp direction turns. Two more lights came and joined this light. These direction turns continued as the crafts moved around. The first light went NE over Mt. Whitney area, went back and forth a couple of times. The other two stayed over the San Joaquin valley, in the North. The lights traveled back and forth, then one came South and went SE. I told my friends to watch the North I was going to watch the one in the South. The two to the North seemed to be exploring. The one to the SE went to a point and stopped. It set there for about a minute and then it excelled in very great speed going straight up. I watched and it got to where it was only a pin prick of a light. It stayed there for a while then all of a sudden it came back down as fast as it had gone up to the level where it had been, and it stayed there for a while. The two in the North continued moving around and then all of a sudden they came South and the one in the SE joined them and they went South together over the mountains toward the Pacific Ocean - Ventura area - and disappeared. We never did see them return. Later at about 22:30, that night, a very bright object fell from the sky in the North, it looked like something very big had entered the atmosphere was burning. Within a matter of minutes after this some military jets came from the East and circled around. I am not sure about the date; it was August 15 or 16 and I am sure the year was 2001, I should have written it down. I marked the date in my mind about a week later. I've had several other experiences with UFO's in my life.

White light seen at 10:30 pm traveling from NW to SE at very high rate of speed.Slows momentarily to beam down conical light, then resumes course

My wife and I were camping 4 1/2 miles east of Taft, CA while attending a model airplane meet. Weather was calm, clear, temperature very mild, moon- less sky & dark except for lights of Taft and Bakersfield (30 miles away). While sitting in front of our trailer enjoying the serenity of the Spring evening at approx. 10:30 pm, I noticed a white light approaching from the NW in the direction of Taft Airport. The light was fairly un- spectacular in appearance, not nearly as bright as an aircraft landing light and rather indistinct. The light, however, kept my attention due to its very high speed and relatively low altitude of approx. 5,000 ft. Once the light was directly over the town of Taft it began to slow down considerably to what I would say was a normal lightplane cruising speed. At that moment, the object "blinked" on an enormous conical shaped beam of yellowish light straight down. The beam at its widest & lowest point was at least five times the size of the object itself. I grabbed a pair of 8x50 binoculars out of my flight box and observed the object and the beam for only a very few seconds. The object was a very hazy, indistinct ball of white light with no apparent anti-collision or navigation lights like an airplane. The beam was very well defined against the night sky and did not reach the hill tops below it. As quickly as the beam "blinked" on it turned off and the object started to accelerate very rapidly as it resumed its southeasterly course paralleling the Diablo Range & heading over the Tehachapis towards Los Angeles. My wife saw the object too, and remained fairly unimpressed by the spectacle, dismissing it as nothing more than an experimental military aircraft from Edwards AFB. The craft followed the same course as the airliners that were flying high above it since this is on the main flight corridor between L.A. and the S.F. Bay Area following the Coast Range. The object was in sight approx. 15 seconds and made no sound even though it travelled at jet fighter-like speed.
