Looked like fog/cloud. Moving very fast. Low above ocean. Approx 200 yards out.

I saw what at first I thought was a cloud or fog about the size of a small plane or boat. It looked white, but I could pretty much see through it. I then thought it may be an object under the surface of the ocean. It was moving fast from north to south approximately 200 yards from the beach. I called it out and my son, he said he saw it too. It was clearly moving faster than the cars on the 101 freeway along the coast. The water around it was not moving, as there was no wake. I didn’t hear anything but my windows were closed. I first noticed it as it passed the fairgrounds. As it got close to the pier it vanished. I was parked on the hill at Grant Park in Ventura, Ca. I was facing the ocean.

Pinpoint of light appeared at mountain ridge, streaked across sky, grew bigger than the moon within 0.3 seconds

Last Thursday, my dad's driveway camera caught something that we can't explain. The neighbor's camera saw something, too.

At 10:10pm a car drives by and activates the driveway cam's motion sensor. It starts recording. It sits at ground level, pointed slightly upward.

At the very end of the 10 second clip, a pinpoint of light appears at the ridge of the mountain range to the north, behind the houses across the street. Within 0.3 seconds (the final 5 frames before it stopped recording), the bright dot takes on an oblong tic tac shape (which could just be motion blur), streaks across the sky in a slightly curved southbound trajectory, and suddenly stops. It looks bigger than the moon in the sky. It appears to have left a trail, although that could be a compression artifact from the camera.

The clip ends. It freezes on the last frame for the last full second of playback, which also happens to be the first frame where it's most clearly visible. I'm not sure if that kind of glitch is normal with Ring cameras or if it's a noteworthy coincidence.

Depth of field is hard to judge from the single angle, but in the final frame it appears to be much closer, down at neighborhood level, hovering over a house. It looks roughly car sized, round, glowing bright white in the nightvision. It has blurry edges, almost like the "cube within a sphere" description I've heard about other UAP sightings.

The nextdoor neighbor has a camera for his front yard. It's pointed toward the ground from the second floor, and does not have a view of the sky. It captured one or two blurry, non-illuminated shapes moving south at rooftop level over the road at breakneck speed. These shapes are different than what the first camera saw. But, similar to the first angle, all the action happens within about 5 frames.

The distance from the ridgeline to the top of the neighborhood is approximately 3,200 feet, covered in 0.3 seconds, would be 7,000 miles per hour. There was no sonic boom, no noise at all.

My attempts to find a rational explanation have come up short:
Bug/bird/bat in the foreground? Random cosmic ray hitting the camera sensor? Except the light originated precisely at the ridge. Meteor? They're fast, but this looked an order of magnitude faster and brighter. Blimp? Drone? No way. City lights? It's a quiet residential street in the suburbs. Hiker with a spotlight? This seems like the only explanation that could "move" that fast. But it was a clear, starry night with no clouds to reflect a ground based lamp.

Object breaking sound barrier after breaking apart

An object seemed to have broken apart and can be seen in the 47 second video breaking the sound barrier. Then about 2 minutes later some distance from the original sighting a red glow appeared and dissapeared, as seen in the shorter 7 second video. Which happened after the 47 second video. I saw a post about an increase in sighting in the time I saw this so I'm submitting it.

Sparkling golden objects twirling in spiral formation

I was sitting at a traffic light and noticed a seagull in the sky. Then much higher up in the sky I saw a group of small golden lights. At first I thought they were a flock of birds. But then noticed the formation and pattern was more of a spiral, and the reflection of the gold color was so bright and shiny they couldn't be birds. They disappeared then reappeared a short distance away. Then disappeared again. This was in full daylight and they were swirling around for about a minute.

A contrail heading steeply down toward the moon and then below it to the horizon. It had a red light flashing at the tip

About 634. I was walking out to my car in the parking lot area of community medical center in Ventura when I saw the moon which was a beautiful crescent. I marveled at how clear it was, and I saw the two planets above the moon, which looked like Jupiter and Venus according to what I found out later online and off to the left, I noticed a large contrail or trail of some kind, heading steeply down, edit angle toward the moon and then below Every 20 or 30 seconds I saw a red light at the tip of this contrail; nothing else was evident beyond the contrail, which just kept moving steeply down past the moon, and then disappeared into the horizon, which would be in the location of the Pacific Ocean. I have a photo of this that I would be happy to share with your investigators however, I do not want to relinquish rights to this photo so if there’s another way, I can send this so you can look at it I would be happy to do so.

Individual lights, a minute or two apart, not going in the exact same direction

I saw a light with my binoculars but not the naked eye going across the sky, faster than satellites that I see with the naked eye & much slower than a shooting star, no flashing lights, no noise. I saw a total of six or seven, a couple minutes apart, some longer apart, all going towards the south, but at different angles, some more towards southeast. I have looked every night again and didn’t see any until February 12 around 7 o’clock, and I saw the same thing over a period of about 20 minutes, but I only saw three, again with binoculars, only not with a naked eye. No trails, auras, tails. Just white lights the size of a star you would see with naked eye but I was using binoculars. The reason I even spotted them because I was looking for the comet. I often view satellites, but they go much slower than the lights I saw. I would like to know what I am not real clear on the time for both dates, the times are approximate. Thank you.

Orange "orb", seen at 90 degrees above horizon; appeared stationary at least 10-15 seconds, then moved and faded out.

Looked directly overhead approx. 6:50 p.m. and saw what I assumed to be an aircraft, but it appeared to glow orange like a rocket exaust and remain motionless; my wife agreed that it was stationary. After observing for 10-15 seconds I ran into the house to fetch my camera with zoom lens. When I came back out the object was now definitely moving South into the Orion consellation and I managed to get one shot off on autofocus setting, but before I could re-adjust for a sharper image the object faded as if a booster burned out.

Checked launch schedule from Vandenberg SFB but next Space X launch not scheduled until today or tomorrow; in addition, I have seen many launches from Vandenberg and they are always about 30 degrees from the Western horizon. ISS was over New York that night and the color seemed wrong as well for ISS. Apologies for not getting a sharper photo.

My boyfriend and I were looking up at the stars while out on the balcony, when we see this object appear from behind a tall building. It was similar to the shape of a ladder that was all lit up. Then one by one in no particular order the squares in the ladder started to dim away until the last one was out, then a sprinkle of twinkling white and green lights and then it's gone.

At approximately 11:30-11:50PM, a fireball, like a meteor or possibly space junk flew across the horizon, fairly low on the horizon, above the ocean in Ventura. Witnesses were watching the night sky over southern facing beaches, and the fast moving object fired off, moving in a northwesterly direction. It was much larger and lower than a garden variety shooting star and brought to mind the large fireball seen fly across Southern California that flew into the ocean off the San Diego coast in 1994.

Bright object seen for several minutes in western sky

My wife and I had driven to Emma Woods Beach to view the sunset because it had been such an incredibly clear day. There were no clouds in the sky at all. We arrived at the beach as the sun set and walked out of our car to the beach. We both noticed a bright object in the western sky approximately 20 degrees above the horizon. The shape appeared to be well beyond the Channel islands and quite bright. When we first spotted the object it was heading north west. We both described it to each other as it turned due west away from the coast. The profile of the object changed. There was no trail of exhaust from a rocket or condensation trail from a plane. It appeared to nearly disappear as it’s profile was headed directly away from us. In a moment it reappeared as it again angled north west at a slight angle. I went to our vehicle and retrieved a pair of strong binoculars and the light was gone when I returned, but a mark or line of the object remained in the sky for several minutes as dusk approached. We both saw this line with the unaided eye and with the binoculars. It eventually became to dark to see and we returned to our vehicle. The object seemed many miles away traveling at great speed. We both have never anything remotely like this before.

On 02/07/2020 at 5:30 AM in Ventura CA I saw one spot light like a satellite moving on the Sky. No surprise, I thought that could be the Space Station moving over CA, but then I saw a second light following the first, a third one, a fourth and so on. I stopped counting at 20. It was more than 30 spot lights following each other in a straight line from west to east. I thought, maybe they are Air Force air planes in training, but no noise, complete silent. Not only silent, but they start to pop up at the same point at the sky over my home, they were not coming from the far west horizon as expected from airplanes, they popped out from the same spot up on the sky. They were pretty high. I do not believe they were meteors because they were pretty stable in light intensity, no tail behind, and all following a very straight line. They were not spaced regularly, distance between each consecutive light was not uniform, but not too much different. All the action took ! no more than 1 min, than I had to go take my bus to commute.

Huge Flat Beam of Light completely vertical, Lit up entire sky with bright white lite, lights inside were surging and losing power.

Ventura California, November 27, 2019 at approximately 2:45am witnessed a large flat light come down vertically to ground, the entire night sky became very bright almost white, the lights in the house started flickering with like a power surge, electrical surge., then it was gone. Entire event took no more than 15 seconds I live on the hillside in Ventura, California, so my view is all the way from the hillside to the Conejo Grade (101 Frwy), out to Pt Mugu, the Santa Clara Islands and all the way up to Santa Barbara.

On Nov 27th around 2:45 am I was in my Living room with my son when this light appeared. The light, rather flat beam came down vertically it looked like a very wide flat beam of light. The beam covered quite a large area; I would say half up to the entire length of the runway at the airport. When the tight touched the ground (within a few seconds) the entire night sky lit up brighter than anything I have ever seen. It was very white and bright.

My son was facing the window, I had my back to the window and noticed the room light up, so I turned and saw this huge, wide flat beam of light from the sky to the ground over the Camarillo Airport. The light became very bright almost white, then the lights in the house started flickering and surging. At that time, I turned away from the light and looked down my hall to see if the house was shaking, thinking that it might have been a earthquake. Frankly I am very surprised it didn’t blow the power, or at least the transformers, because you could tell that the surge was not a normal flicker lights power outage kind of event. Something was taxing the power.

The entire event lasted less than 15 seconds. There was no sound from this at all. The sky was cloudy with rain, so when we went outside to look up there was nothing that we could see because of the cloud cover.

The light was so bright, and it must have covered a good 10 – 15-mile radius. My son felt like the light was maybe from an explosion or bomb, and in fact for a split second felt as if the windows would blow out, but there was no sound. No thunder and lighting, no explosion, nothing, completely silent.

At that point we waited to see if there were any police or fire department lighted cars or trucks going in the direction of the airport nothing. Got on social media (twitter, Instagram), to see if anyone saw it….nothing. turned on the local news ….nothing.

Our cat was completely puffed up, as he does when he sense’s danger, or another animal around.

As I type this a good 24 hours have passed, and we have not found anyone besides my son who saw this, which is even more baffling.

Chevron shaped object flying high west to east Ventura, CA.

On Thursday at approximately 9:20PM I was in my backyard Jacuzzi. I am a 56 year old male, no drink or drugs. My wife of 50 years old and her friend also in Jacuzzi saw the same thing. They had drunk one glass of wine each. Dark outside no moon up yet.

My wife was looking up and said; what the hell is that. I looked up along with the third witness and saw what appeared to be a large chevron-shaped object quite high up moving straight and fairly high speed. There was no sound.

I watched it move across the sky towards Los Angeles for about 5 seconds. There appeared to be very faint white lights single and dull on constantly along the shape which allowed one to notice the v shape. No strobe, No other lights. Very odd and I have no idea. We see jets flying very high all the time north to south and vice versa, so we are familiar with the sounds and lights of aircraft. No drone engine sound either.

I was night sky watching with my Generation 3 goggles. As usual I see aircraft and several satellites and sometimes something I can't explain.

Then a bright star looking object appeared from northwest moving southeast at a speed slower than commercial aircraft, and a height of approximately 4000 feet. The object had a slow rotating light like a lighthouse. I watched for approximately fifteen seconds then the object changed directions heading upward.

I watched the object climb at a faster speed over the next thirty seconds with the slow rotating light until it was out of sight.

I was sitting on my balcony looking toward the southwest when an object caught my attention. At first it looked like a bird (seagull) flying above the buildings across the street, then the object came closer. Looking up at the object, it looked similar to a B-1 like shape. It had what appeared to be three (3) disc shaped lights (?) on the bottom side. Completely silent and moving fairly fast. Conditions were very clear skies, with object moving from South to North. I lost visual of object as my building then obstructed my view.

Sphere like object hovers over man and his dog in a produce field in Saticoy, ca

It was about 08:00 on July 29, 2018 when I took my dog for a walk in a produce field that is next to my residence. When I walked to the trail, I passed railroad tracks that bridged a drainage ditch. There I seen and balloon like shape raise from a tree that lined the trail and drainage ditch.

As I walked I noticed that the balloon was hovering and warping. I watch for 5 to 10 minutes, before I realized that it wasn't a balloon, and pulled out my cellphone to video tape the object. As I video taped I voiced what was happening. I followed the hovering object from the produce field, across the ditch then back to the field. The object hovered up and down while mutating. The object hovered straight over me for 5 minutes as it hovered to the field from the ditch.

At that point my cellphone wouldnt let me take pictures or video anymore. After 5 or 10 minutes then I could film my 2nd video. I kept watching while the object enter the middle of the field, when my dog bumped me and I look away and look back then the object was gone. The incident happened for 30 to 40 minutes.

The night before in the early morning there was a power surge on the street and my house was to be left out for 15 minutes longer.

After the incident i couldn't use my debit card, it was demagnetized at the meat market down the street.

Three amber color round objects came in to view from the northwest and flew south. There was no sound.

The front of the dish shape object had different color lights on it and three or four red strips of lights on the top of it... hovered for a long time.

My wife got some pictures. They are only of the red glow from the object. A plane flew near one of the objects and the craft flew away from it…

While on my way to work, I noticed a bright red streak in the sky out of the driver side window. The streak was unusual so it caught my attention. It unexpectedly fade away very rapidly. Another object, or the same object I couldn't tell, appeared at a much closer distance. From what I can remember, this object had 3 orangish, reddish lights and some kind of energy flare that moved around the lights. The object then seemingly split apart and 1 of the lights rapidly moved crossed the sky and created 2 faint streams like a comet tail but 2 of them. After I followed the light that split from the object, I brought my field of Vision back to the original location where a large bright light, like a fire ball, was hovering in the sky.

There was one bigger light flashing with about 13 smaller ones except the smaller ones flashed a bit different. It reminded me of a drone, but over a dozen drones out flying above our neighborhood all night until the morning is a bit odd. I went to bed at about 23:00 and woke up at 4:00, they were still out there. One flew over my fiancés and my head and we saw a shape of what appeared to be a triangle shape. My dad and mom both saw them from their window and they thought it was quite strange. I can't believe no one has reported this yet. I don't know what this is, but they are circling our neighborhood over and over again. Hovering and they haven't stopped.

Round glowing ball changes shape

On Nov. 21, 2016, my ex-spouse and myself, were walking by the Ventura, CA, walkway close to the pier when in our stargazing we noticed a brighter light in the sky. It looked like it stood still then moved and changed colors. We were watching this about 15 mins when I decided to video record it and the zoom in on it. I sent this live on Facebook for the 14 mins I recorded this phenomenon. It really gets strange from minute 7 to minute 6 when it appears to change shape. We were amazed at the few people that were walking along did not stop and I was too busy to attract anyone's attention to this because I was busy filming. After 14 mins of recording I dropped my exapouse home, then I returned, and after 7 pm, I noticed it still there.

Review the video and please help me identify what this is.

Silent huge dark blob blending in with the night sky.

I was going for an early morning walk; this time is my favorite for star gazing. I often see many different varieties of ufos whenever I take a moment to look up at the night sky. This instance was the most unusual sighting. The sky was clear except for the residual chem trail mist, pre-sunrise, still dark,the stars were fairly bright. Out of the corner of my eye I saw movement, I focused on it slowly moving from north to south west. It was like a dark blob/oval-ish...the weirdest thing, and the only way I could tell it was up there was how the edges kind of fluttered. They gave the appearance of pixels all around the edges. I said, "What the hell is that?" It hovered a few seconds about 200 feet up, and then continued southwest. No sound. Very very big. No lights. Just the "pixel blending" effect on the edges allowed it to be seen at all. Kind of like when the cable signal is bad..but it blended itself completely into the background. It was very hard to describe, as I have never seen anything like that...

Fireballs flying over two trees.

It looked like a comet. White ball bigger than any shooting star I've seen with a trail glowing 8x its width behind just above our low hill tops over two trees. Then the ball disappeared not sure if it was out of sight or vanished but appeared again slightly smaller but 2 balls with glowing g trails the balls did change color from a white to a light green then a light orange. Lost sight after two trees.

White/Blue/Orange light falling from the sky...very fast

My wife and I were traveling east on the 126 between Victoria and Kimball. Just prior to reaching the Kimball exit, we both observed a very bright light suddenly appear in the sky over Saticoy or maybe Santa Paula. We both watched it as it began to move toward the ground. Our first impression was that it may have been a meteor but then it began to emit a blue light and increase speed rapidly before turning to an orange glow and then disappearing below the treeline.

I work in aerospace and I'm familiar with both military and civilian aircraft.

Housesitting for my parents in a house that I grew up in for the weekend with my son’s mom, my newborn son, and a friend of over 15years. My buddy was always claiming to see weird shit in the sky at night/early morning So when he started up that night, couldn’t think too far into it. we 3 adults were all outside having our last cigarette for the night before we went to bed, and there were a couple of stars that he was looking at kept commenting on how odd they looked about five minutes later I looked up and saw what he was talking about… There were about five different “stars” In the sky, they were oddly bright almost as if they were closer than the rest of the other stars and were glowing with the very bright purple pulse to it. At the time I had a camera that was capable of zooming in 256x Which had an app That allows you to control the camera hands-free, as well as a tripod that I used to help capture the event (When Zooming into that high magnification, it’s almost impossible to catch anything that could be considered clear footage because even the slightest shake of the hand would throw off positioning of camera. So the app and tripod were crucial for the recording) In the video you will see me go from zero magnification to 256X multiple times to show that this was unedited, undebatable footage. What we saw blew our minds… If you throughout the night, we’ll see it moving due to the rotation, but the star was perfectly still in the same exact spot the entire night along with the other four that we weren’t able to record. I have been searching for years for footage of like until this day still seen, also there’s a section with a pick up massive feedback which was the first and last time The did that these objects were in the sky for two consecutive nights . I still visit that house from time to time and sometimes around that same time of year. I see something that slightly resembles what I saw that night, although never as bright as that night. I would’ve uploaded this footage a looong time ago but never knew about this site, or I would have

Eery lights hovering above Ventura tonight.

While walking to my car at Ralph's shopping center I saw in the sky 2 extremely bright lights looked round, one smaller than the other, the smaller on top.

Sat in my car for several minutes and lights were stationary. Drive off but a couple miles down the road the lights were still visible and in same location.

Not blinking just bright and stationary.

multiple orange balls fall from sky

At approx. 7:32 pm in the evening on March 7th my daughter and I saw approx. 15 round orange objects falling from the sky slowly and systematically downward and to the left. We were on Los Angeles Ave also known as highway 118.

I pulled over to try and figure out what I was seeing. When it was not easily identifiable, I moved towards them with curiosity to North Street in Somis, California. At that point they were right in front of us but I still could not identify what they were.

As we got closer to them and they got lower in the sky the lowest light seem to turn white. By the time we got under them they all disappeared without a trace.

It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen in my lifetime and definitely nothing I could explain. It definitely was not planes nor gliders as I thought they may have been and they did not seem like meteoroids.

When I got home I searched the internet to see if anyone had seen the same thing as us but perhaps it as too early and I did not find any search results, However what did come up is other reports outside this incident about orange orbs.

The photos I saw on the previous sightings appear to be the same objects my daughter and I saw that evening returning home from dinner.

Hopefully this information is helpful I was not sure who I should report this to so hopefully this is the correct site.

Observed an object that, at first, appeared to be an instrumentation balloon. Vertical configuration of a mass "suspended" below.

Observed an object that, at first, appeared to be an instrumentation balloon. Vertical configuration of a mass "suspended" below three bright, what appeared to be rotating, or flashing alternating primary colors, R-G-B in random duration and speed. These were not aircraft strobe lights. Too bright at that range and not a discharge flash.

From my position on PCH highway, I first noticed it at a bearing of about 15 degrees and a few seconds of observation revealed it to be apparently drifting to north-northwest laterally at approximately 8500 to 9000 feet altitude. Observed craft for 11 to 12 minutes until it "drifted" to a bearing of about 385 degrees, flashing colors alternately, randomly, with no obvious apparent relation between the three active parts of the craft.

Observed Southwest Airlines SFO to SDiego flight at cruise altitude clearly behind this craft as it passed behind the craft in my field of view. At about 12:15 it changed direction of motion to the northest and picked up speed linearly and went behind Boney Mountain out of view. No sound other than the low rumble of Southwest Airlines. I estimate the speed to have been about 200 knots and increasing when it went out of view.

Black hexagon shaped UFO seen above Ventura on 12-20-14

I was hiking down from Grant Park on the road that goes down towards City Hall, and I noticed a black craft flying basically above highway 33 at an altitude of about 3000 to 4000 feet (rough estimate). The craft looked like a hexagon (6 corners), though due to the distance, it was a bit hard to know if that was its exact shape. It was black in color. At times, it would turn sideways, and it was clear that it was flat as a board. It did not have an exhaust but during the sighting, there appeared to be a whitish, halo effect around it but only during part of the sighting. It went slowly over westwards towards the ocean and then turned in southerly direction and then slowly continued in a somewhat easterly direction thereafter. During the time that I saw it, it basically made a large "c" type of a travel pattern. Most interestingly, it seemed at the end to simply rise up through the clouds (though it did not increase it elevation for the first 8-9 minutes of the sighting). There were two other people who were also doing the same hike, and came and started to talk with me about the thing that we were looking at in the sky. They were as confounded as me. We all witnessed this sighing, and I have a video of about 3 minutes long that I took on my smart phone.

Extremely loud jet from high altitude, 3 AM Ventura, CA.

Very very loud jet from extremely high up started shaking the house. I actually got up and walked outside to look at the sky and saw nothing. Strange light above Oxnard and Ventura tonight

Red light that resembled a falling star fell to the horizon but straight down and much faster. It took on a purple glow around the red and then did a few quick loops, flew in a straight line very fast even with the horizon and then back a ways did another loop. Flew straight up, straight back down, stayed down ground level, came straight back up and then another loop.

After that it faded into a light purple color, sat still right above the visible horizon, turned from the purple to orange and faded away completely.

V Shaped Objects in Skies of Ventura, Ca.

We were outside in our patio and we live on a hill.

We saw off the Mountain Tops several small red rounded things in the sky they were in formation making a V shape in the sky I would think about 30 of them, they went into the sky and all left. We did not hear of anything from our local paper.

We do not have a local news. This is the first time we saw anything like this.

The formation really was awesome a perfect V shape and they were all flying out into the sky.

Huge black circle with fire ball!

Time: 8:30-9:00 pm
Where: Above Santa Cruz Island head south bound on the 101 freeway between Rincon and Seacliff.

My daughter, boyfriend and I were headed home after having dinner in Carpinteria, Ca. We live in La Conchita, Ca. Due to the freeway construction we now have to pass our town and exit Seacliff, then turn around on the freeway headed north to come home. As I was driving past LC my daughter got all excited. She said she just say a big bright light out over the ocean. As we passed Mussel Shouls she screamed there it is! I turned and saw a bright orange and red ball of fire circling what looked like a blacked out moon hanging just above the Santa Cruz Island. It was so bright I could see the outline of the mountains on the island.

We pulled to the side of the freeway just before Seacliff and got out of the car. I could see the oil rigs clearly. The object we say was way past them and seemed to be at least 5 times bigger and 100 times brighter. You could tell it was just above the island not moving. Then the lights fadded and went out.

We got back in the car and started for home headed north bound now. As we were coming up to Mussle Shouls the object reappeared.

Star formation with controlled movements seen with naked eyes.

Walking on the Ventura Pier last night about 8:00 P.M. with my girl friend Rosa. Sky was clear with many stars of different brightness seen. I saw two stars that were moving faster than the surrounding field of stars so I thought they were satellites in a tandem orbit coming from the horizon just over Anacapa Island from Ventura Pier. I watched this formation of two objects spread about 5 degrees apart in the sky without any odd move ments.

Suddenly a flare came out of the top star and it moved quickly across and stopped with an opposite thrust. Flares appeared to be larger that the light. At first my girl friend could not see them but when it flashed again she said holy shit was is that? They were amazing to see. They showed intelligent calculated movements. I was thinking it was the Dragon Spacex Moving away from the space station but with the naked eye seeing thrusters, no way. I have seen the space station before while at the beach but it was muc! h brighter. Any thoughts? Total observation time about 25 mins before they disappeared at Zenith or straight up.

Bright Blue Object seen floating in sky near Coast in Ventura, California

My husband and I were driving southbound toward the Pacific Ocean, and we saw a bright blue light in the sky. It didn't look like airplane lights, and it was too high up in the atmosphere to be a helicopter. The bright blue light was shining steadily, and it wasn't blinking. There were times when it looked like it may have disappeared behind a cloud, but we weren't quite sure, because the visibility was quite clear out that night. It was going in one direction, then it switched back to the other direction. After a few seconds, it switched back to the other direction. It looked like it was 'floating' floating down from the atmosphere. We drove the beach to see if we could see it. When we got there, we couldn't find it in the sky anymore. Another family (a man and his son) had pulled over in their car behind us, and said they saw the same thing. They said they saw the color red before it turned to the blue color.

A very bright star, that flickered like a little like fire for about 10 mins and then disappeared.

Saw a flickering light in the N sky. At first it looked like it was moving but I wasn't sure about that. Then I assumed it was just a bright star and that I was mistaken about the movement. Then I watched it for about 5-10 minutes because I thaught it an unusual flicker for a star. Then it faded away in about 3-5 seconds time...virtually dissappeared. I have never seen a star fade away like that. It was a very clear night.

I never believe in ufo's but after last night there's something out thereeee for sure.....

I opened the front door to look at the stars. The few stars I could see did not look bright tonight. A distortion pattern of the sky in the shape of a ginormous glider plane silently flew overhead and over the roof. I was so unsettled that i ran away from the building to get look at it and I could see it fly over me. Silently:

It was about 21:17 when my attention was attracted by what I first thought was an owl flying overhead, I then noticed that it might be a formation of large birds at an altitude of approximately 15,000 feet, but then I realized that they were flying without wing movement, in a northerly and perfect straight line and crossed the sky at an immense speed so that it vanished within ten seconds. The objects were wing shaped and seemed to be of a light gray color. No sound whatsoever was heard.

I was sitting on my couch in my living room looking south out our large two story window. The sky was still dark but starting to lighten up. I noticed a very bright star. I sat there for several minute but never saw the light again.

On Friday night around 7 there was sitings of a blue circle that hovered, and changed directions in Ventura, Ca. over the ocean. The object was also disappearing and returning and changing colors from blue/red/purple. It apparently had been there for a few hours. Tonight the same thing was seen. I drove to Surfers Point where the light could be best seen. The object would swoop down as low as the tree tops and vanish but with tonight's moonlight I could see a complete outline of it when the lights turned off. It is a toy plane with LED lights attached and whoever was controlling it had a remote to turn the lights on and off. Debunked.

Stepped out to my front yard facing west. Looking to the south saw very clearly 3 lights moving from west to east. Three lights were dull, not brite. Each of the lights were ringed with what looked like exhaust grills - they resembled what a jet engine turbine looks like when not running. It move silently at about the speed of a commercial jet - first thought was not alian UFO but some new aircraft. Point Mugu is not far from Ventura.

Next night went back out at the same time not expecting much but in the same direction, south, much higher I saw a light that zig zagged to a stop then dropped down stopped then moved to the East. Again the speed was not extraordinary but the movement was.

Blue/red light seen 'dancing' above Ventura, CA

While walking back to my car after visiting the bank, my girlfriend pointed out a light in the night sky, noting that it was unusual. I looked up and saw a purple-colored light in the sky, heading away from us. I commented that it was strange, as usually airplane lights are red or white, but didn't think very much of it. A couple moments later, as we arrived back at my car, I looked up again at the object and saw that in the 30 seconds since it was last observed it had completely reversed direction and was heading vaguely towards us.

Realizing that this light may actually be queer, we stopped to observe it. As it got closer, I noticed that the light was not purple, but was made up of both blue and red lights. The center of the object was a series of red lights, arranged horizontally. Above and below the red lights were blue lights that almost looked halo-like. It was the sandwiching of these lights that initially made the object appear purple.

As we watched, the object stopped moving towards us and began moving in circular motions. The lights continually faded in and out while this was happening. Its movement was not confined to simple circles, and was fairly erratic. It would circle around in one direction, then stop, then rise up again and then seem to appear in another spot when its lights faded back in. At one point, the entire object tilted on its side and seemed to dive towards the ground, only to reappear higher up again.

We observed the object for around 6 minutes before it began moving away from us, towards the beach. We decided to try to follow it, but we couldn't find it again after we left the parking lot. We went to the beach to see if maybe it had made its way out to sea, but it did not show itself again.

(goto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMz0U0OVzlY for a portion of the video) I was in Ventura County California and in broad daylight(2:15PM PST - 10/22/11) I witnessed first what looked like a ball of neon blue light as bright a giant star, to my north-east, moving slowly across the fully lit sky moving north.

My first instinct was something from space falling to earth, like a meteor but it surprised me that it was moving so slow and I was able to see it in the daytime. After 30 seconds, I unfocused my eyes for a split second I suddenly noticed there were many more of these "lights" (roughly 10-30)across a good portion of the sky northeast of me, all moving northerly.

Its kinda funny, I kept thinking to myself "wow these things are so bright how could I keep losing sight of them" and as soon as I'd think that they'd be gone and I have to refocus my eyes to find them. They were barely pinpoints in the sky but they were super bright.

What really stood out to me at this point was 3 lights that were in a triangle formation(I will admit at this point I was seriously contemplating if they were UFO's) The leading "light" was bright red(I remember thinking it was the color of those tiny little red mites you find out in your lawn). This was the only red light I saw, but later in editing I noticed more red lights than blue.

I ran in, got my camera, and filmed about a minute and a half of, what before editing looks like, a blank sky. Because it was so bright outside I didn't realize what I had caught on video until I edited the brightness/contrast the next day.

After what I saw I don't know what it is. My best guess is I filmed a satellites reentry into the atmosphere.(a faulty German satellite was supposed to fall to earth later that evening over the Indian Ocean/Thailand around 7 hours later and, as of yet, there have been no sightings and it been almost two weeks) Whatever it was changed speed and at one point one even appeared to stop, and on the video one appears to split into two pieces, and one of those split in two.

Large formation flight groups

The following is a copy of an old email I originally sent to the Southern California chapter of MUFON on 10/17/11.

To the best of my recollection the event lasted about 20 minutes for the formation to go across the approximately half of the sky from North to South. My line of sight was from Ventura to the direction of Palmdale, California, generally starting along direction above State Highway 126 and generally along direction of I-5. There are some tall mountains in that direction so I assume the formation was closer to Ventura, perhaps above Santa Paula or Fillmore. I estimate height probably at 25 deg.

Email as follows: I visited your site for the first time to see if I could find any relevant info to an experience my girlfriend and I had. I saw that you had sightings for August but nothing for September. [MUFON] My main interest is to see if anyone reported several waves of lights in the sky on or about September 27, last month. Unfortunately I am not sure of the date.

I was mostly fascinated by what we saw but didn't think of noting times or recording any events but this is what transpired: We live in Ventura, California. It was between 830 - 930 in the evening when we saw a brighter than average light in the sky which initially caught our attention. We stepped outside to get a better view. At that time we began to see in the eastern sky, groups of perhaps five craft each heading southbound. There closely followed another 6 or 7 groupings for approximately 35-40 craft total? They could have been airplanes, but I have never seen so many at once. My vision is not the best but the lights were basically white and some of the craft appeared to be flashing a reddish glow, sort of a twinkle. They were travelling relatively slowly but something about them didn't quite make me think they were airplanes.

I mentioned the incident to my neighbor and he said other people reported the event (newspaper?). I looked online but didn't find any mention.

 I am a photographer from Ventura, Ca.  who lives on the Beach and watches the sky on a regular basis.  8/20/11 I witnessed a strange  flickering round reddish/orange light traveling across the entire sky in about 2-3 seconds. I was star gazing with my feline friend Silvia on an exceptionally clear night and the only other thing  I can somewhat compare this to is the last space shuttle launching 4/13/11.

This difference was that this object was much more of a pulsing light with a slight haze around it without the fire tail moving at least 20x the speed. Not as fast as an average meteor but much faster then anything else.  

It first appeared out if nowhere and continued to pulse quickly directly above me as I was laying in the sand.

The Object was flying directly North crossing the entire sky before it diminished with a last pulse.

It kinda looked like a gigantic flashing star. It was going up and down and then it looked like it was coming towards us and then I saw a outline of the front of it and it looked like a U shape and it was green. It then moved to the west and then it stopped on top of a hill and then I saw a red flash for at least another 30 min and then went back inside. The object didnt make a normal plane noise but it seemed like a swooshing noise was coming from it. My mom and I looked for other planes that may make a noise, but there were only little planes and the sound was very different then that.

This is my account of what my daughter and I saw tonite , February 7, 7:30 PM. Her report is listed above mine and as you will see , we saw things a little differently. She had told me there was a green light outside and asked what it was. I went outside and saw one large green light and 2 or 3 large red lights flashing and moving together. I didnt see a outline of any object just the lights and I didnt hear any sound. I tried to take a picture and video on my cell phone and I couldnt see anything on it to take , yet if I directed the camera to the moon or the other stars I could see those on my phone. It was a little creepy. The lights seemed to form the shape of a cylinder, moving slowly in a north west direction, after about 15 min I saw it stop over a hill, looks like near the ocean coast. A red light continued to flash for at least another 30 min and then we went inside. I called the local news and asked them to see if anyone else reported seeing any ! unusual lights in the sky over southern calif tonite. Hoping someone else saw this.

December 9, 2010

Just after 8:00pm Ventura, California I was driving home from a business meeting on the northbound 101 freeway when I noticed a small hazy red-orange glow of light hovering over the ocean in the north-western sky. Given the color I assumed I was looking at the moon obscured by a cloud of smoke; as a resident of California it is a phenomenon I have seen often enough. The depth of color was indicative of a very dense, very close fire so for safety sake I scanned the inland sky hoping to locate the source but I saw no plume of trailing smoke and there weren’t even clouds in the sky. Several things crossed my mind then, it was too early in the evening for the moon to be in a setting position over the ocean, the new moon had just passed so the sliver of moon visible wouldn’t be as large as what I had just seen and lastly the moon wouldn’t be setting in that location of the sky anyway. So when I looked back at the light it was a little disconcerting to notice it had grown larger and brighter and was definitely taki! ng on an orb like shape. I was driving so I had to alternate between watching the road and watching the orb and each time I looked back at the orb it appeared larger and brighter as if it were coming toward me which meant that it was moving inland in an easterly direction. At one point when I looked the orb had changed shape, like a tear drop on its side with the pointed tip in the tail position and it was moving parallel to me only in the opposite direction (southbound) there were also three small lights visible at the top. Because of those small lights I thought “Oh it’s a passenger plane.” I wanted some kind of confirmation so I looked for the fuselage knowing that if I could see the lights of the passenger windows I should be able to see the plane itself but there was no plane and the whole thing was still glowing orange. It continued southward and I watched it move across the sky until I was almost looking over my shoulder out the driver side window and the glow sta! rted to dissipate then it vanished at a point where my eye cau! ght sigh t of a star in the sky.

The whole incident took no more than two or three minutes and I wasn’t the only one who saw this; there were 15 other vehicles in front of me and several behind. I watched the orb disappear then turned my full attention back to my driving and realized everyone had slowed down to watch the strange lights in the sky.

huge comet like object with fireball trail, turned white, stopped, became incircled by swirling white tails, then disappeared.

I am a Criminal Investigator and have worked in the Criminal Justice field for 25 years. I have vast experience in making observations and interpreting them.

On September 20, 2010, at about 9:15 pm; I was in my backyard letting the dogs go before bed. I looked up in the North East direction in the sky and observed a large object moving very slowly in the sky, towards my direction. The object was traveling low in the sky and appeared to have a large fireball tail trailing it. I could see aircraft in other parts of the sky at this time, and the object appeared to be lower than some of the aircraft that I observed.

I called my fiancé to come and look at this object because it was like nothing I have ever seen. It was huge, the size of a comet; which was my first guess as to what it was. As we continued to watch this object getting closer, the flaming tail turned white and then began swirling around the object. The object then came to a complete stop, as the white trails continued to swirl around it. The object itself appeared round and glowed brightly, like a star. It then simply disappeared right in front of our eyes.

The nature of my job makes me a skeptic of sorts. I have heard of many UFO sightings for which there have been logical explanations. However, I cannot think of anything that occurs in nature or that is manmade; that would perform the way that this object did in the sky that night.

giant oval craft with about 10 lights that flew very close to the ground

First of all, I’m a 13 year old boy, but I swear to God that I saw a UFO. I wasn’t planning to report this but this was really bugging me. I’m not 100% sure about the date, but it was in the August of 2010. I was trying to sleep but I couldn’t, so I just stared at the stars out the window. Right then I saw large, strange shaped aircraft flying not fast but not slow. At first I thought it was a plane but it was flying to close to the ground, it was pretty huge and it was shaped like an oval. It was flashing about 10 lights and it was kind of like one of those ships in star wars. I immediately yelled at my mom who was watching T.V. next door and she saw it too. I grabbed my self phone and ran out to take a picture of it, but it was too far ahead for my phone to take picture of it.

I only saw the bottom of the craft. It was oval, and there was two lines crossing each other forming a cross. There were about 10 lights were lined up on the cross, the lights were red and green I believe, I’m not 100% sure about green but I definitely saw red. I saw a red and white flashing object that moved in any way other than a straight line, and I think it noticed me.

Before I tell you what I saw, or what, at least, that I can remember of what I saw on May 27th, 2010, a short while after 10:00 p.m, latest being 10:20 p.m., I want to let you know that until recently I was a total skeptic. Before all this chit-chat about ancient aliens and ufos started on t.v. and what not, I thought, "Okay, well, I agree that it's a possibility that there are other life forms out there, but I disagree that they have visited us." Then came all the ufo hunters and t.v. series that have sparked an intriguement inside me.

So, now let me describe my sighting to you.

Okay, I'm walking my boyfriend to the top of my street from where he will skateboard home, we say our goodbyes and depart. About this time everything is seemingly normal. As I'm walking, being a nature lover that I am, I'm looking towards the sky. And I thought, "Wouldn't it be crazy if I saw a ufo tonight? Walking home and I see one, yea right hahah" sort of joking about in my head. Well, a few minutes later I notice something that first I thought was a star. However, it had a white and red flashing light system. The object would glow a dim red, and then a bright white, and then back to the dim red and then back to the bright white, like a strobe light, then I thought that's strange, so I stopped walking. And that's when I noticed that this object was moving in abrupt directions, such as zig zagging, but this object was very far away so I could only see it move just a little bit everytime it did so.

It was only a little light in the sky flashing a dim red and then a brighter white and moving in every other way I can think of asides a straight line. Okay, here's where things get even a little more funky, so I've stopped and I'm looking at this light in the sky and I think "Oh well, there must be some logical explanation for it." So I keep walking, not a block away from my apartment, I turn my head to face in front of me and I noticed that far away up in the sky, is ANOTHER one of these flashing lights, still red and white, so I look back at the spot that my eyes had just previously left and sure enough the same one is still there. I felt a bit frightened at this point and hurried into my home through the back door because I felt that it hid the view from those points of mysterious light, from what might've been aliens. Now there is one critical detail that I have left out, and that is that while I was walking, the light that I was watching, moved from in front of me ! to behind me. It was originally ahead of me and off to my right, then it moved to behind me and off to my right, had I turned around and faced it, it would have been on my left. I cannot explain it any better than that.

In one or two sentences, I was walking home the other night and noticed two objects that were distant from each other in the sky yet had the same flight patterns and dual red/whtie light systems that were definitively not airplanes and not helicopters. There was no sound, it was as simple as this, when I laid my eyes on it I knew it was something I had never seen before, and it frightened me. I've seen video recordings of such orbs of changing light and the best way I can tell you what it was, is a red and white ufo like all the other ufos glowing a bright white light and some other color. I'm saying that it is a possible UFO abduction case because soon after I went to bed, they might've beamed me up late at night. Also my boyfriend had a dream about me being abducted by aliens. And when I think back to that night, things always get a little blurry, and everything that I said to you I remember with specific detail. When it comes down to it, I think I might propose that! aliens are trying to make me forget, but I'm holding onto it, almost like when you try to remember what you dreamed last night, and you can remember those bits and pieces of imagery but not the whole scenario.

A Triangular craft that was highly visible

At approximately 9 P.M. PDT on April 15th, 2010 in Ventura California.

I was looking toward the west at the constellation of Orion when I heard a brief "screech" sound lasting around one second and coming from the vicinity which I was viewing. Thinking it was an owl I quickly looked for it and saw a faint silhouette of something moving in the clear sky. At first it looked like it was a large bird high in the air as the front and two sides were heavily darkened against the mostly dark sky. It was moving toward me and over a period of about 2 seconds it became clearer and resembled a hang-glider. It was descending and moving toward the east and seemed to be gliding smoothly, making no sound that I could hear. As it reached its closest point to me, what looked to be several hundred feet or so, a very sharp and definite outline appeared. It was an equilateral triangle and had three circular areas symmetrically placed near the tips. There was a slight contrast between the gray triangular area and the circular areas, as the circular portions ! had a very faint glowing quality to them. As it silently continued moving away from me, the craft seemed to have only 2 dimensions. It looked completely flat like it was a projection. It began to gently ripple with smooth wave patterns and disappeared within a little over a second after doing so. The total event lasted around 8 seconds.

I have my master’s degree in physics and teach college level physics as a career. I am also involved in astronomy. I am about 20 minutes drive from a naval base and do hear and see military aircraft from time to time. Though it is possible that I was seeing a "secret aircraft," I am doubtful that such a craft would be flown in such plain view as it was very apparent what was seen. Judging from the change in angular diameter, its descent was fairly rapid and it changed from a dark, fluctuating shadow into a crisp configuration, lightly contrasted against the clear dark sky. I would estimate the base of the triangle to be around 50 feet, though I could be way off. Once leveled off at around 500 feet, it glided forward at perhaps 100 miles per hour until it disappeared from sight somewhat like a mirage does. The measured angle from the horizontal at which the craft began to wave out of sight was around 20 degrees. It all happened very fast and was short in duration, m! aking it difficult to be definite on measurements. All in all, I saw a craft without doubt and I am perplexed by what I have seen.

I saw a huge very black chevron shaped craft, with lights like steady stars, heading NNW out of Ventura CA towards Ojai.

My friend and I were heading out to her back yard, she was putting something in the trash, and I was going to have a cigarette.

I live in LA and am unaccustomed to so many stars. It was an especially clear night, and I was staring up to the sky.

While she was putting her bag into the trash bin, I saw, near our visual horizon (the actual horizon was blocked by the garage and trees) what must have been a huge, chevron shaped craft. Though i can't know for sure, it seemed like it would have been wider than a 747. It was black, blacker than the night sky, almost felt like a shadow on the sky. There were 6 lights, which looked exactly like stars of a medium intensity, one at the tip of the chevron/v shape, two others running along the sides and one at the inner apex of the V. It moved so quickly, and completely soundlessly that had I seen a video of it i would have laughed at how computer animated it looked. I gasped and said "________ Oh my God, its a UFO" by the time I turned her around to look at it, it was already almost over our visual horizon, and she didn't see it in time. It was heading NNW towards Ojai. In almost no time at all it was gone. In all, I couldn't have seen it for even 6 seconds, but it was very! very clear what I was seeing.

5 non blinking red-orange lights in V formation zooming silently across the night sky

Approximately 10:20 PM, PST, Monday, November 16, 2009, walking my dog waiting for him to catch up with me, I looked up into the sky at the Orion constellation and my eye caught the motion of 5 dim red-orange lights moving in a V formation across the sky at a fast pace from east to west, heading directly toward Santa Cruz Island over Ventura, CA. I could not decipher whether there were 5 individual crafts or one craft with 5 lights. The lights were not blinking.

From about 30 degrees up from the eastern sky, it took about 7 seconds from where I picked it up to where it disappeared on the western horizon. The group of lights were about twice the size of the Little Dipper constellation. What made the experience so erie, was that it was flying too fast to be flying high or flying too low to not emit any noise. It was totally silent. There were no other sounds in the neighborhood to distract from hearing any noises from above.

A slow rising black boomerang shaped object, it had no trail and no lights.

Two others and I were at a golf course hitting range.

After hitting multiple shots off into the distance one of my friends saw a black object at what seemed like the height and distance of a cell tower. Observing "it" for several minutes, it started moving up words.

Once high enough we were able to see the bottom and the shape of the object, which was like a boomerang. The craft had no lights and no trail. It continued to rise at a slow but consistent pace.

Another man, an employee of the course asked us what we were looking at. Unable to define what it might be he went to retrieve a pair of binoculars. Returning soon, the employee and the three of us could not quite get a clean look with the binoculars. \

The sun began to set and the object was soon out of sight. I can be contacted if needed.

Bright orange object, incredible speed, diamond shaped and turning

Sitting on our patio, looking West, an solid, bright orange craft of unknown origin rose out from the western sky and flew East, directly toward us at a very high rate of speed. The craft flew in our direction for about 7 or 8 seconds growing larger and then banked sharply to its right, bearing South. As it turned, it gained altitude and speed. Best guess of altitude was between 2,000 to 5,000 feet. Speed at the turn was between 400 and 600 knots. Speed as the craft rose out of the turn and disappeared increased to well over 1,500 knots and kept increasing as the craft disappeared.

We live in Ventura next to the Oxnard airport (very small, local airport) and are also in the flight path of LAX for large jets going to Europe. We see many passenger planes at night at about 20,000 feet. Being an avid sky-watcher and novice astronomer I am very well aware of altitude and speed of objects in the sky. I feel VERY confident of my estimate of altitude and speed. I have never seen anything in my life move this fast and accellerate so rapidly. Utterly astonishing! The craft made absolutely no sound and was very low and very close. It was bright orange with no blinking lights, only a very bright glow. As it grew closer, before it turned it seemd to be a diamond shape. Upon turning, the craft left a small aura behind it that dissipated almost instantly. It was not a lingering contrail like an airplane would leave. Instead, it looked like vapor coming off the object from such an immediate change in direction and speed (air compression leading to vapor).

First witness statement This began at approximately 9:40 p.m.

I was sitting with my husband in our hot tub and happened to glance to the sky. I did not look directly up, but just raised my eyes slightly and looked toward the Northeast. I noticed a chevron-shape flying across the sky. I thought it was birds because of the formation, and because it looked like there were independent objects creating the formation. But it was dark outside…and unless they were iridescent birds that happened to be getting a reflection from the moon, I don’t know how they would be lit up. I said to my husband, “What is that? Birds, or a UFO?” I said it very casually, because I really didn’t know WHAT I was seeing. He said, “Maybe it’s a B2 bomber running a test,” (as we have military bases around and sometimes do see this type of thing. But we didn’t really see lights, just simply illumination. Then, he said that it was moving much too quickly to be an aircraft. A few seconds later, while we were still wondering what we saw, there was another one. This was appeared to fly in the same flight path of the first, but its shape was slightly different. It was more of a flattened chevron, while the first was a very triangular shape. These both flew in the direction from the West to the East.

Within what seemed like a minute, but I don’t know for sure as there is not a lighted clock outside, a helicopter flew by. The helicopter also looked like it was flying in the same flight path, although it may have been lower. It was definitely slower and noisy, whereas the first two objects were silent. About eight minutes later, we saw another one. This one looked farther away to me, and it flew from the Northeast toward the Southwest. This one seemed more like the first in its shape. We saw this one for what seemed like a longer time – maybe a total of 15-20 seconds. Approximately five minutes after that, we saw another one. This one also flew from the West to the East and we were able to see it for about 12-15 seconds.

While we were staring at the sky trying to figure out what we saw, or see more, or who knows what, we saw several regular aircraft. They all moved a lot slower than what we saw. We also saw some satellites that appeared to be moving fairly quickly. However, because of their blinking, it is hard to determine how fast they were moving compared to blinking.

Second witness statement: On the night of May 24, 2008 at approximately 9:40 pm, my wife and I were relaxing in our hot tub, looking up at the sky in Ventura, CA. Suddenly, my wife said, "What is that?" and I looked up and saw a chevron shaped 'thing' flying through the sky. We live near the coast in Southern California, so the 'thing' was coming from the ocean, moving west to east. It was moving very quickly, faster than conventional aircraft that we see regularly in our area. The 'thing' was in the shape of a 'V', or a chevron and was made up of single lights or dots, probably 8 in total. About a minute after seeing the object, another identical object moved across the sky in the same direction, following the direction of the first object. It looked identical and was moving along the same direction. We heard no sound and saw no conventional contrails from aircraft which appear to be at a similar altitude.

Approximately 5 minutes later, we both saw another identical object moving across the sky from the North to the South. It appeared to be the same shape and moving the same speed as the previous 'things.' We sat and pondered what the objects were for approximately 10 minutes when another 'thing' flew through the sky along the same path and at the same rate as the first and second 'things. We continued to look into the sky for an additional 15 minutes or so and did not see anything else that resembled the first sighting. The objects appeared to be moving at a higher rate of speed than conventional aircraft, and were completely silent in their movement.

Egg-shaped rust-colored craft in Oak View, CA rapidly traveling north to south, on Sat., Oct. 6.

On Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at about 1 p.m., I left my home in Oak View, CA and drove up Burnham Road east toward Ojai. After just about a half mile, I looked up to see an egg-shaped rust-colored craft moving from the north. It was, I would guess, less than a thousand feet above me and moving to the south. I was near enough that I could see sun glint off its surface and thought it must be a plane of some sort. It didn't have wings, though (none that I could discern), and it made no sound. It was not like any craft I've seen before. I rounded a bend and lost it when oak trees obscured my view. Then, the line of sight opened up and I saw it move very rapidly south until it was out of the sight to the south. It seemed to remain at about the same elevation that I initially observed it as it moved south. I've never seen a craft move that rapidly--only 15 to 30 seconds and it was well past the Ojai Valley and on to ranges to the south. Again, I heard no sound from it.

heard "humming" sound and then a brilliant flash went off. Within the flash was a disk shaped prism of rainbow colors.

I was locking up my garage at 9:00 in the evening.Sept 4th.2007. I heard a strange"humming" sound coming from the top of the tree line, so it made me look up. Suddenly off to the right, I saw a brilliant white flash. Contained within the flash was an oval disk. The disk was filled with clear vertical rainbow stripes like a prism. It was dazzling in the intensity. The rainbow rays extended outward from the shape but they were softer, hazier... Then "bam!" it was gone. It's hard to say how close it was. The "humming" sounded fairly close, but the flash of colors seemed much higher. The oval shape could have been covered up with quarter, and the total flash with a tennis ball(to give you an idea of perspective.) The whole thing lasted only a few seconds 3 at most.And to be clear, I didn't actually see a metallic structure of a disk. It was a clearly defined disk of light with very defined vertical stripes like a prism. There may be a natural way to explain this, but it was definitely startling to see this. It could be light refracting off something, but it lasted a long time, and coupled with the strange noise. I don't usually give the idea of ufo's much thought, and I don't go looking for this kind of thing.

V shaped soundless aircraft

While standing on my patio I saw a "V" shaped set of lights pass by an an un-determinable altitude pass by and disappear in about 4 seconds after I noticed it. There was no wind and visibility was extreme clear. There were stars out in the background nothing in the sky that would obscure visibility. There were also a few dissapating Con Trails at higher altitudes. The best description I can offer is that it looked very much like the image I found depicted on the top of this page. It was a "V" shaped set of low intensity lights with 1 at the point, and 4 or 5 on each leg of a symmetrical shaped "V". It disapeared after about 4 seconds which was not obscured by any ground objects or the horizon. What confused me is that there was no sound, and that there was plenty of background light which would provide a view of the vehicle the lights were a part of, and there was nothing. It was simply a formation of low intensity lights, shaped in an angle that no aircraft (commercial or military) I know of. For the record... I'm not a believer in extra terrestial life or aliens from another planet. I've also seen plenty of waterfowl formations at night and can assure you that idea has no merit in my opinion. I would be more apt to chalk it up to a secret reconnasiance type of craft that has not been made public yet. Stranger things have happened.....

I watched a blinking orb shaped object hanging above some hills here in Ventura last night. I kept telling myself it was just an airplane with blinking light, but the light was too big (was the entire object) traveling slowly south east and the kicker was when it just disappeared while I was watching it. One second it was there and the next it was gone like it just turned off.

Not a very exciting viewing, but it was a clear evening (actually just before sun down) and it was there for 3 to 5 minutes, the blinking was at an unusual rate compared to the little ones you see on airplanes.

dark spherical shape glowing brilliant lime-green, leaving a glowing green trail

I was driving south on Hwy 101 toward Ventura California, less than 45 miles to the city limits. I was with my boyfriend, but he was asleep in the passenger seat.

I saw a brilliant lime-green light that streaked in an absolute vertical path (I am an artist, and very good at drawing, so I am very clear about vertical and horizontal alignment - this was a straight vertical) which was visible from the upper part of the windshield down more than halfway to the horizon. My line of sight was clear in front of me, mountainous to my left side, and ocean on my right. The road runs right on the coast in this area.

I first assumed that it was a comet or shooting star, but I have never seen one like that before, and another quality was that the actual object was glowing that brilliant lime-green color, which I have never heard of in a comet. It left a long green glowing tail the full length that I could see it and contiued to glow for another second or two.

The most unusual aspect was that it seemed as though it was a spherical object that was itself dark in color, but was 'glowing' all the way around it, because the object seemed to look like the color 'thinned' toward the center, and was extremely vivid at the edges, like it was producing the light as an aura or emission, it appeared like a green corona. I definitely saw darkening in the center and made mental note of it.

I can't estimate the size but it seemed much larger than any shooting star I have seen. I have observed meteor showers, and never seen anything that is similar.

Illuminated Orb type craft near Point Mugu to Ventura beach.

My friend and I were sitting on his balcony when he spotted an orb. He pointed it out to me and we could see a large oval shaped ball of pulsating light moving from Point Mugu, north up the Ventura coast.

The object maintained a constant amount of illumination and was far too bright and large to be anything man made.

My friend and I were both in the military and saw many planes at night and this was unlike anything we hade ever seen. It appeared to be approximately 1/3 the size of the moon that was in the south east sky, the object was in the south west sky.

Also, there were several lights that appeared to extend from the objects like light beams and the object slowly changed from a white blue to a white orange bright light.

I am certain that this was a UFO.

Two Orange Oval shaped objects sighted moving together vanishing then reapearing.

My brother was over and we were enjoying dinner enjoying the ocean view and watching the sunset. He is an architect and is helping me design an add-on to my dining room.

Just after the sunset, we noticed a orange glowing oval shaped object. It seemed to be gliding west with a gradual and steady pace. Then it would disapeared for about 30 seconds and reapeared in a different position.

At first we thought that it was just a high altitude air craft. But when we looked with binoculars it was very obvious that it had no emisions, and it had no definite coarse.

A few minutes later another object just like it appeared. They almost looked like they had an invisable bond between them because they stayed the same distance apart for atleast 5 minutes.

And when one would disapear the other would at the same time, they also both reapeared at the same time.

Then it began to look like the object was making a 90 degree change in direction. Its coarse was now southward, but it vanished and never reapeared after that.

Red/Orange glowing object hovered over the Channel Islands then glided away silently.

It was just after the sun set over the Channel Islands. A red shaped object darted from the horizon to above the island (Santa Cruz Island). I then rushed to my telescope to get a closer look. I could not make out a definite shape of the object, it had a red/orange glow. It hovered over the island for a few seconds then began to glide WNW, making no sound at all. At that point the object disapeared into the atmosphere.

It was Saturday evening October 16, 2005. I myself have never in the past seen anything like this or any other UFO's. I still don't know what we saw but it was really wierd and surreal.

My boyfriend and I were having a smoke out in our back patio. I happened to look out towards the west and saw a bright object. At first I thought It was a really bright star. I said to my boyfriend, " Isn't that a really bright star?" He agreed.

The more we looked at it we realised that it couldn't have been a star. We're not too far from Vandenburg air space so we tried to rationalise the whole thing. But then it started.

From the left of the bright object a flashing red object appeared. Naturally we thought it was a plane, but the more we stared at it the more we realised that it was not moving like normal planes. It would hover down then go up suddenly. But naturally we tried to rationalise what we were witnessing.

The red-flashing object was getting closer to the bright star object and circled it once and then quickly hovered away. The more you tried to look at the red-flashing object it seemed to go out of focus.

I decided to get my camera, and as i came back out both me and my boyfriend witnessed something that almost made us S*** in our pants. The redflashing object stopped floating and became as bright as the bright star object for just a few seconds and dimmed out quickly.

As i tried to focus my camera on the redflashing object, I noticed another redflashing object that we had not seen before. As I panned out to look at it, not through the camera lens, I noticed that it was THREE more redflashing objects higher up in the sky that weren't near the original one we initially saw.

I wanted to take pics of them and as i tried to fit them into the shot i noticed that they were traveling at a very slow pace in a triangular pattern. One was all the way at the top or the point of the triangle, and the other 2 were below.

I have to say that I'm not a UFO nut, never been something I've been interested in, but this night sent shivers down my back.

We went back inside after having enough of what we saw. We really tried to rationalise. After watching tv an hour later I decided to go back outside to see if anything was still going on. When i stepped outside I was stumped to see that everything, the flashing red objects and the bright star looking object were all gone.

I only had a disposable camera and the flash kept going off. i have yet to develop the camera. I was really hoping that i would read any similar sightings on this site. There is no way me and my boyfriend were the only ones that witnessed this. The object was bright like a comet coming towards earth.

Very scary, but I am convinced more than ever that we are not alone.

2 "cotton balls" of light on same course moving quickly East to West

I observed 2 balls of light, like a lightly illuminated cotton ball, moving very rapidly east to west in a mostly straight line with a slight course change, it was remarkable how the objects imitated one another during the course change as it did seem through paralax that the objects were indeed separate and not a reflection or refraction of one another.

I was looking South/Southwest when I observed the objects moving from the East passing just under the main body of the constellation "Aquila" and passing through the constellations tail section.

No noise was heard. No paranormal or abnormal phenomenom was/were associatated with the event. The light emitted was nothing spectacular, no colors, no dimming, a very pale white light. Apparently, the objects were about the size of a dime at arms length(1/2-1 degree).

Distance and actual size of the object is very difficult to determine as object had no discernable features, however my best guess as to distance would be from 500' to maybe 2 miles tops. This event was immediately recorded with time, date, direction, and location being absolute. I've been an amateur astronomer for five years, and have never seen anything quite like that!

Bright starlike red light in night sky that travelled vertically, slowly leaving a small red trail before disintegrating.

One bright red starlike light observed looking in the western night sky toward the ocean. The red light object dropped vertically, slowly, and left a small red trail and just disappeared. My daughter and I watched it together and she said Oh! it is a helicopter and when it just disintegrated we both knew it wasn't.

I am a photographer and have never seen anything like this before. My daughter is a teenager.

Pill-shaped, swiftly moving solid object spotted through small telescope

Single dark, pill-shaped (not cylindrical, not cigar) swiftly-moving solid object observed for 15-20 seconds, through small telescope (60X 65mm power). Object traveled North to South at unknown speed or altitude in clear night sky; no sound; no wings, windows, or tail visible; no lights visible, but instead object seemed reflective, or perhaps its shape highlighted by stars or moonlight. Length appeared to take up approx. one-half diameter of field of vision through eyepiece; width appeared approx. one-sixth of the object's length; lost sight of object when attempting to see it with the naked eye. Observer is 18-year-old student.

Three orange spheres traveling silently in triangle formation until lead sphere broke formation.

Sighted three large spheres traveling in triangle formation southward. Silent, no engine noise. Initial altitude approx twice that of small airplanes. (We live near two small airports; planes were in the air at the time, could hear one engine off to the west) The spheres were shining dull/opaque orange, fuzzy, somewhat like chinese lanterns. Their formation was very rigid intially. They gained altitude (got smaller & dimmer) as they progressed south over the ocean off Point Mugu Naval Airstation. The two spheres then seemed to close the gap between them, while the front sphere appeared to stretch the formation upward. As the formation dimmed in the distance, the front sphere appeared to shoot upward. The rear two spheres stayed together and drifted in a more westerly direction.

Conditions were dark evening, very clear starry night. Just finished looking at the moon off to the west and was heading inside when the formation drifted into view from over my house.

When they were closest to me, I got the impression (not clear vision) I was seeing in through a round, riblike structure.

At first sight I yelled to my son to get his video camera. Both he and my daughter joined me outside and saw the formation immediately. Nothing is showing on camera LCD screen. I am hunting for the chord to connect camera to TV to review tape; keep fingers crossed.

Lights in V formation

I wanted to watch the new comet near to the Procion on the W-WS sky with my Cassagrain 5" telescope, when I attracted my attention of a chirping very quiet sound from behind the trees on the other side of the street (around 1kHz? with 5 Hz modulation), which stopped (or turned down) after appearing the object (I cannot recognize the clearly the shape, its outline was closely as a bumerang ?, with transparent body). The lights was orange in the V formation, on left side 5-6 in the sraight line and 2 on the right side. The object flew quietly from West to Eatst and I felt it has big inercia. Its way visualy crossed the Venus. But the brightness of the Venus changed only slightly (I am not sure) I was very supprised. I attach a picture, which I found on the web and it is very close to that, what I saw. The visula size of the object was similar as on the attached picture with comparation with the Moon). Only the lights was orange without any blinking or changing of the intensity. Before the object dissappeared I saw it as from the back position (still V formation) but the lights I saw in the same intensity.

Saucer-shaped object drifted eastward over Ojai, wobbling as it descended out of sight.

At about 17:30 hours, my wife noticed light glinting off an object in the sky toward the north of Oak View, appearing above Nordhoff Peak. She called it to my attention, and after a moment, I went inside to get a pair of binoculars. Through the 7x50 glasses, the object was very clearly visible against the sky above the mountains above Ojai.

It was saucer shaped, convex on both sides, and had an aspect ratio of about 1:6. I watched it for several seconds, during which it wobbled at a rate of one cycle per three seconds or so as it drifted toward the east. I said that it was a flying saucer, and handed my wife the binoculars. She watched it for several seconds, and handed the binoculars back to me as she ran to telephone a friend who could possibly corroborate our sighting. The friend was unable to see the object from their point of view, however. I continued to watch the object as it drifted down and toward the east.

As it dropped below the horizon, I could see that it was clearly on the near side of the mountain ridge. Meanwhile, my wife had found a neighbor who, unfortunately, arrived too late to see the object before it drifted out of sight behind some nearby trees, still moving toward the east.

We never saw any unnatural light or sound come from the object. It never exhibited any non-ballistic motion. We called the police, hoping that someone else had seen and reported it, but with no luck. The object did not reappear in the sky as we watched.
