Bright shiney object hovered, darted, stopped then "disappeared" at military base airstation in broad daylight afternoon SanDiego.

Driving down the main road leading on and off the military base in the early afternoon when to my left in the sky I seen a bright white light, hovering in the sky about the Airstation and runway area. It wasn't too high, but it was high enough not to be confused as one of the Tower lights or attached to any structure from the ground. It was very bright. As if metal was reflecting off the Sun's light casting a blinding glow. It appeared to be flat and circular, but long..almost like a "Cigar". Almost as soon as I noticed it, from down the street riding in my vehicle, it appeared to have been "spooked" or scared away. It ascended away from my direction so fast from its hovering point (Point A) to it's secondary point (Point B) but left a trail of light stretching behind it that connected the two points, and then from "Point B" it "zipped" away at an unbelievable speed until it simply vanished completely once it reached the clouds as if it entered what I can on! ly assume was some type of "Warp Speed" at a speed I have never seen any man-made aircraft reach in all my military years. This "light" went from a "Hover" state, to a darting light, to an unbelievable speed until it vanished, all within seconds. Its' physical appearance was as real and apparent as any other "aircraft" in the sky would've been. This happened in broad daylight in the early afternoon, so it could not have been mistaken for any "known" piloted aircraft that I've ever seen or came across for it was "too small". And it moved almost instinctively, as if the craft itself had its own "ability". The conduct of this unidentified object was definitely "abnormal" flight behavior, darting or zipping across the sky from one point to another in one second, then halting; taking off from a halted position at great speeds; vanishing or disappearing out of the sky. There was no noticeable sound, no smoke trail from any visible or known thrusters or engines, Just a sreak of br! ight, white light.

Meandering floating balls of light that accelerated away at amazing spped

A relative of mine had been on mil. training maneuvers in Camp Pendleton. These maneuvers were both day and night. At about 2300 and afterwards, white balls of light(a maximum of 3) were seen to float upwards from behind a mountain range to the south of the observer. They were approx 20 deg from the horizontal. These balls, definitely larger than the largest star, would float amongst each other in an almost 'figure 8' pattern. They did this for approx. 15 min. they then accelerated at an amazing speed upward and disappeared within 2 sec.

A relative of mine had been on mil. training maneuvers in Camp Pendleton. These maneuvers were both day and night. At about 1400 hrs a number(a maximum of 5) of crescent shaped(arched like an eyebrow)brown objects were seen floating(approx 45 deg from the horizontal) to the north of the observer but still seemingly within the confines of the base. These floated in a random manner for about 10 min. and then when they left the area they would accelerate upwards at a 45 deg angle and be out of sight within 2 sec.

APPROX 3 MINUTES AFTER SUNSET, OBJECT EMITTING LIGHT AT MAGNITUDE EQUIVALENT WITH THAT OF VENUS, APPEARED WNW OF MCAS. THE OBJECT REMAINED STATIONARY FOR 30 SECONDS THEN NOSEDIVED FOR THE DECK. TRAVELING APPROX. 20 DEG. IN 3 SECONDS. OBJECT DISTANCE WAS 12-15 MILES WNW FROM OBSERVER. DISTANCE WAS DETERMINED BY USING CLOUD DISTANCES ON RADAR. OBJECT PASSED BEHIND ONE LAYER, 5-7SM WNW, AND IN FRONT OF ANOTHER LAYER 15-20SM WNW. OBJECT WAS INVISIBLE ON RADAR. OBJECT WAS NOT SEEN AGAIN AFTER IT DISSAPEARED BELOW HORIZON.

I and fellow Marine were on guard duty at an armory on Camp Pendleton. The events that transpired that night I have only ever shared with my wife; who the other Marine has shared it with I do not know, but we never spoke of the incident or reported out of fear.

I have been in several combat situations, but this was the most terrifying moment in my life. I reluctantly share it now as I have tried to never think of it after I made it through that night.

We were on duty that night at the main armory for that area of base. We had been on this post quite a lot and had become familiar with the surroundings inside and out. We were locked into the perimeter after the last Marine that worked in the armory left, as we were every night. We had no key for obvious security reasons.

I was the first to see it. It crested a hill approximately eight hundred meters to the east of the armory. I thought it strange but we were on a military base so it could be anything. As the object moved closer I realized that it was something I was unfamiliar with and not another marine or piece of equipment. My gut was that something was very wrong.

At this moment I called the other Marine over to see what he thought. We radioed in to the guard HQ but could not adequately describe whatever it was and they felt it to be no threat so the response team was not sent.

It approached at a slow enough rate of speed that we were coming up with all kinds of explanations from hummers to snipers but as it got to within a hundred yards we realized that we were in trouble. The trip from the top of the hill took approximately eight to ten minutes to this point. We immediately locked and loaded and took defensive positions.

The object was not like anything I have ever seen so to compare it to anything would be pointless but I will do my best to describe it. It was a sphere, a ball of glowing blue light. It was not bright, it did not shine. The best way to describe it is that it was a fluorescent blue ball of light that could move. The glow of the light was slightly more intense in the center, but I would not say that it was the source. It was translucent and I could see no object or anything that would lead me to believe that it was solid in anyway but it had a definite shape. It was positioned about 15 feet above the ground and was about three to four feet in diameter.

I don’t know if it actually got smaller as it approached because it looked larger when it was further out. There was no sound coming from the object. It stopped above the front gate guard shack for a few seconds and then proceeded toward the armory. At this point I almost fired on the object but fear of what it might be and what might happen, and the thought that I was going crazy, made me wait. From my observation I really don’t believe there was anything a bullet could have harmed. Have no doubt that had it come closer to me I would have fired anyway.

The object continued toward the armory until it came to a point above the center and then began to move downward. I could not see the object actually enter the armory as the perimeter fence prevented us from moving back that far, however we knew it was in the armory because the inside of the armory began to glow the same blue color. At this point we tried multiple times to raise someone on the radio but all attempts failed, not due to equipment malfunction, but because the ((deleted)) on the other end fell asleep.

The glow coming out of the window on the front door seemed to get brighter and darker, so I assume it was in motion inside the armory. Three and a half hours after I first saw the object it raised up outside the armory and continued directly upward at a much faster speed than it approached.

We waited for a brief while and decided together not to tell anyone as we wanted to avoid the repercussions that sharing this story with anyone, especially our chain of command, would bring. We did watch in fear as the first armory Marine showed up at 0500 and walked inside, as we had not told him what had happened. Nothing seemed to be out of place or harmed so we kept quiet.

This is the first time I have shared this full story as I have only told my wife that I saw something while guarding an armory that scared the shit out of me. I can only imagine that what ever it was was checking out the weapons inside as there were thousands of them and many different types.

No harm came to me or my fellow Marine.

I AM POSITIVE beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was not gas, a light trick or some kind of light coming from Venus. Believe me when I tell you I wish it was. I was not amazed. I was locked in a very secure fence with something that I did not feel I could protect myself from and I had no idea what it was. I was petrified.

I'm not sure of the exact date or time, since I was in Marine boot camp, and we weren't allowed watches. While on night patrol our whole platoon was told to get down (hand signals of course). We were in a open field around 200 yards in circumference, the sky was clear.

While laying in the grass for about 15 minutes I started looking in the sky. This is when I noticed a solid red light. My first assumption was a satellite, since I had seen a few before until it jetted across the sky and stopped on a dime. When I say jetted it was faster than anything I've ever seen and the distance it traveled in the second it moved was incredible. The distance was about from Adhara star to the Procyon star for distance purposes only. After sitting there for about 2 to 3 minutes it moved again about the same distance in a different direction. After that I thought I was seeing things so I tapped my buddy next to me and pointed to the sky and whispered "see that red light?&quo! t; He acknowledged and I told him to watch it. About a minute later it moved again but a shorter distance this time. My buddies eyes were wide open in disbelief with a WTF whisper coming out of his mouth. As we watched the light moved a few more times, distances and speed that nothing from this Earth could accomplish. The last time it stopped it seemed to be right over us and then took off straight into the sky and disappeared. A few minutes after it was gone we were told to get up and continue our patrol. When we got back to camp me and my buddy talked about it and both concluded that it had to be a ufo. I've only told a few people about this for fear they wouldn't believe. Ever since that day I can honestly say I do believe we are not alone.

Finally, I have wanted to tell my story for years. While in the U.S.M.C. our platoon was out in the field doing our "grunt" training when a fellow Marine shouted out"What the --ck is that"? He pointed to the sky where our Marine pilots just happened to be doing their bomb dropping training missions on the near by mountains out in Camp Pendelton,California.Now remember,we are out in the middle of nowhere with NO power lines,wires or any thing else that could be blamed for what at least the five surrounding Marines & I saw.(Hell,the whole company could have seen it for all I know.We were pretty scattered about).Any way, I looked up & saw what I will describes as an "Orb".This is during the day.It was circular & glowing red in color.The more I stared at it I could tell that it was kinda hovering.It seemed to be checking out our jets as they were doing their runs.I could tell how big it was because as I was checking it out one of our jets flew by & this "Orb" blotted out part of the air craft.It was Solid!I would say it's size was about half the length of the jet.These pilots had to of seen this but you know how that goes.Maybe one of them will see my story & fill in the blanks if he feels secure enough now to do so.Any way,I had to get back to my duties & a short time later I just had to keep looking at it.After a minute or two,from a dead stop hovering in the air,it took off leaving a red trail in the sky.Over the years I have thought how to explain how fast it took off.It basically disappeared except for the red trail it left which did not last long.How fast?If this object was going to fly around this planet we call Earth & I counted to 60, it would have been back!There are other witnesses & those who know me know that I am NOT full of crap & do NOT need to make this up.This was 30 years ago & with my military training & seeing most of what the military had to offer back then it blew me away & still does to this day!Thank You fo! r letting me tell MY story & to ALL the military personnel fro! m ALL br anches & especially my fellow Marines-SEMPER FI!

On Camp Pendelton a UFO zig-saged across the base and zoomed off at the speed of light.

Just before I got out of the Marines I was on manuvers and while on guard duty at about 2 AM I seen in the western sky a flashing light moving toward the east. As the light got closer it appeared that the light was skipping across the sky in a zig-zag motion. Being a Marine my hair was short but I could feel electricity pulling my hair upward and an electrical charge on the back of my neck. As the light got closer the faster it skipped until directly overhead I noticed a electrical snapping sound. As the craft skipped from ont point to the other it went pop----pop----pop---- until it got faster pop-pop-pop- and finally when directly overhead poppoppoppop-zoom and instantly it flashed off easterly at what I suppose to be the speed of light. Eight other Marines seen the same thing from other positions because the next morning the C.O. asked if anyone seen anything strange the night before about 8 of us stepped foreward and we were debreifed one at a time by a officer described as a NIS officer. After the debriefing we were put together in one room and we were told it was an Air Force experement. Instantly and in unison we all said no way... no one can do what we seen. The Officer then said beleive what you want but it is Top Secret and if you ever talk about you will go to prision for violating your security clearance. I have never seen anything like it nor do I exspect to see anything like it again. Even now I hesitate to talk about it 29 years after the event because I think the Naval Investigation Officer was serious. Government cover-up you better beleive it!!!! They kept me quiet.

While using night vison scopes , 28 Marines witness 3 saucer craft hovering near Camp Pendleton rifle range during night firing exersi

A group of about 23 Marines were in training at the Scout Sniper School On the Camp Pendleton Marine Base,(Camp Horno), I believe, which is a few miles East of San Clemente Ca. We were about 2-3 miles or so NE of Camp Horno On a night firing range where we were scheduled to do a familarization fire on a 200 meter course at 1/2 size silhouette targets using M-16 Rifles with Starlite scopes mounted on them.

There was a 1st Lt., a 1st Sgt.,and a Cpl.(troop handler) in charge of the training. Three squads of Marines were lined up behind three bench rest positions and there were three Rifle and Starlite Scopes to be used for the firing.

It was just getting dark enough to shoot when one of the Marines in my squad called me to the front of the line and pointed with his finger to what appeared(with the naked eye ) to be a star in a northerly direction just above the horizon. It looked like it was approximately 1-3 miles away.The "star" appeared to be changing colors like the twinkling effect of a star that you might see on any given night. The weather was clear and the stars were out and was providing good ambient light to enable us to see astonishing detail as we viewed what was vey plainly a saucer craft that was hovering slightly above a small mountain peak in the distance. Using the Starlite Scope(1X or 2x,), the craft appeared quite close. It was a classic saucer shape,dark in color, like black graphite,not shiny; similar to what the Stealth Aircraft of the 90's looked like. There were no visible landing gear,or other protuberances of any kind, nor were there any apparent "hatches" or doors, entrances etc. visible.

The most noticible thing about the saucer was the five portholes and the bright light eminating from them,and the turret (not dome), that was slowly rotating counter clockwise. The portholes were an estimated 20 feet apart, and appeared to be tinted. The portholes were eminating bright light in various colors; red,blue green, amber(or yellow), and white. The source of the light was a very powerful beam emitter similar to a brillant light house beacon, and appeared to be stationary in the approximate center of the craft. The twinkling effect seemed to be due to the revolving of the turret which caused the tinted portholes to eminate the various colors described;however,through the scope we could not only clearly see the different colored portholes. We could see through them into the interior of the craft as well.

The interior of the craft was consistent in symmetry to the shape of the craft's outward apparence. The walls were curved, rounded and the floor was flat but the interesting fact was that there was no visible control center; no consoles, instruments,desks, chairs, or items,objects or property --nothing at all.

We could only see into the right side of the craft; perhaps 49% of the interior space from our angle of observation.

After about 5-10 minutes the craft went down behind the peak and stayed there about 5 minutes. Just about the the time we were ready to start firing, the craft rose back up above the peak. A short time later two more of the saucers,identical in appearance to the first, rose up, one on each side of the first craft, only lower in the sky, forming a triangular shaped formation. All three of the saucers moved slowly accross the sky to the East and then stopped. The first saucer started moving now SE at an increasing rate of speed until it reached a "pivot-point" and shot off in a reverse angle,of about 45% to the west at an incredibly fast speed; much faster than the military jets of the day(F-4 Phantoms and A-6 Intruders).

When the craft hit the atmosphere the front of it starting giving off tremendous sparks and a tail of fire like a comet 3-4 times the length of the saucer, trailed behind it. About 30 seconds later it was out of sight. The outher two craft repeated the same manuever and disappeared at the same point in the sky.

During the observation of these saucer craft no noise was heard coming from them at any time. The area that they were in, while on or near the ground, was in a restricted area, possibly an artillary impact area. The craft displayed speeds of travel that were far in excess of any known aircraft in existence then or now and performed turning manuevers that were, according to my knowledge never seen before and even now years later. The technological capability displayed by these craft I believe far exceeds anything I know to exist on earth.

As a group we did not talk about what we saw since we were seriously concentrating on our training which was preparing for Vietnam. After the last saucer was gone, one of the Marines asked our Lt. if he was going to report the incident. He replied: Do you f---ing think I'm crazy ?

On October 1969, my Marine platoon was on a bivouac in the hills of Camp Pendleton, California. We noticed a bright light many miles away,; traveling south it stopped, as if it noticed us, at the same time. Within a second, it was over our heads, about 30 feet above us. The bright light went out and a green light came on and shined on us. The object was about 50 x 50 in size, it hovered quietly.

Then, about one minute later, it shot over the ocean and into the sky very fast. Then a group of jets flew over as if they were trying to follow the UFO.

The amazing part came in the morning when a General and his entourage came out and told us what we saw was a missile misfiring and not to talk about it. We knew then the government was trying to cover this up.

UFO Report November, 1969 Camp Pendleton, CA While attending Scout/Sniper School for the Marine Corp I was witness along with at least 30 other Marines of a UFO. This occurred during our night training on the firing range using Starlight Scopes. This night was a clear night but without a moon. The background in the distance was the mountain range on Camp Pendleton. During the firing practice everyone who was firing using a Starlight Scope became exited by a bright light they could see through the scope. The light was flying/hovering fairly low to the ground in the distance. The weird part was that you could only see this light using the Starlight Scope. With the naked eye you saw nothing; no light whatsoever. Through the scope the light was obvious and moving over the horizon. My recollection of this event would have been over a 30-90 second time period. I looked at least 3 times through the scope to observe the UFO then with my naked eye and could see nothing. I was watching through the scope when the bright object went around one of the mountains and came into view again from a valley. The object began to rise into the air higher and then disappeared into the sky in a streak of light similar to a falling star but away from the earth.
