Something moving slowly across the night sky. Then it suddenly it went dark. Noticed on film it took off at a not normal speed.

Got home from a dinner and my spouse took the dogs out back in our yard to go the bathroom. He came inside and said "you gotta come see this -- what is this?" (we live in the desert and often see strange things in the sky.) I went out and looked up to see a strangely figured "stealth bomber" looking light was traveling at a slow speed moving east. We also live near an airport and see many planes coming and going daily. This was not the shape of a plane or the speed of a plane. Then suddenly it went dark. That was weird enough and we went inside knowing we just saw something that wasn't normal.

Then next morning, I was watching the video on my phone and noticed that after it randomly went dark, it shot across the sky at a completely different angle that it was traveling! And at an insane speed beyond anything earth-like.

a string of approximately 20-30 lights moving slowly in a northerly direction

I stepped out onto my driveway at 5:40 PM and looked up in the night sky and saw towards the south what I first thought was a shooting star or a plane/ satellite breaking up.
I continued to watch and realized the string of lights were not dissipating as you would expect with a meteor breaking up. Instead the string of lights continued to move in a northerly direction, eventually traveling nearly directly above me.
The lights all appeared to be the same size but were spaced at irregular intervals and all were traveling at the same speed as if they were either flying in unison or were part of a single craft.
They emitted no sound and were moving much slower than a regular aircraft.
It was hard to gage the size or distance as I was looking up into darkness and had no other visual reference points. All the lights were the same color, a whitish glow.
I tried filming with my iPhone but nothing shows up on the recordings. I did snap two photos. The lights passed over me, again moving at a constant speed in a northerly direction. They eventually faded from view, faster than I would have expected as they were so bright, almost like they disappeared in a fog.
I would estimate the whole sighting lasted three minutes and the distance the lights traveled from the time I saw them to when they disappeared to be approximately 5-10 miles as the crow flies.

3 orange orbs in the southern California night sky.

I was outside, with my partner and his friend, taking the dog for a walk. All three of us witnessed the following. We had not had any alcoholic beverages or consumed any prescription medication or the likes that might have resulted in a mind-altered state.

At approximately 20:15PST an orange orb appeared in the sky, followed almost immediately by two more orange orbs.

They were 3 separate object but flew, silently, together, like a gaggle of geese or a school of fish.

The initial orb appeared to drop an unknown object then separate itself from its two counterparts.

The orbs flew slowly at first, then hovered for a bit. The two crafts, that were behind the first, eventually caught up to the first. After hovering and slowly, seemingly floating around, as if dancing here and there for a few minutes all three orbs flew at increasing speeds and were gone very quickly.

We were in awe and later asked some other friends in passing had anyone else seen this event or heard of anything (military or otherwise) taking place that might have caused the phenomena. However no one wer talked to had seen nor heard of anything.

Still, I am left baffled, as I've tried to find an explanation of such an event and have come up empty handed.

3 white lights travelling at different high speeds and one larger triangular slower object with spinning group of lights over PSP

Not quite dark,.. looked up to see what I thought was an airliner going over, but this was no airliner, triangular with green and purple shimmering lights (about 10 lights that sparkled and shimmered and seemed to rotate around the perimeter) that seemed to make the object look like it was spinning or rotating but it flew over at what would be the right speed and height for an airliner. A small white light which looked like a satellite caught up and passed the triangular shape, it looked and flew just like a Satellite. Right behind the first white light another white light appearing flying faster than the first white light. The speed was too fast for satellite, and I thought maybe it was a fighter jet, but no regular nav lights... just a steady white light.. flying ⅓ faster than the first white light and no sound from any of the objects.. Then a third white light appeared heading in almost the same direction as the first two white lights but going a! lmost three times faster than the first white light. Way faster than any jet crossing the sky and way faster maybe three times faster than a satellite and definetliy not a meteor. I am used to seeing airliners fly over and satellites.

All four of the objects converged over Cathedral City/ Palm Springs at 6:25pm and all heading in almost the same direction.

Yellowish balls came out of the North cross the sky to the east and up and disappeared in groups of 6 and there where several groups.

These objects came out of the North about mid sky came toward us and cross the sky some just three or four seconds behind the other pretty much the same path towards us then off to the East and up until we could not see them. This took a few seconds to about 10 before they where out of sight.

This happened as a party was ending and many people saw this. There would be a group of 6 or so and a few minutes another group would come. This happened at lease 3 to 4 times over 20 to 30 minutes.

Intensly bright light appeared through misty cloud then evaporated with the cloud.

September 12, 2014, at approximately 6:10 am, I saw what I thought was the sun coming through a small mist-like cloud. The light was so bright and becoming brighter. The sun was far off to my left so I realized it couldn’t be the sun, I was facing west.

The light became very bright and turned into 3 balls of bright light. The lights stayed for a few seconds and then evaporated in the same spot in the sky along with the misty cloud. There were no other clouds in the sky.

This occurred in Cathedral City, California.

Big, Bright, and Moving Bluish-White Light, Suddenly Vanishes into the Night Sky

July 12, 2014, 10:05pm, Location: Cathedral City, CA, (near Palm Springs) I witnessed a bright bluish-white light traveling from the NE to the SW across the night sky tonight.

The direction was strange because there are no planes or anything that I’ve ever saw travel in that direction.

It was very high up, but I don’t believe it was in space, because the light was rather large, and a little bigger and definitely much brighter than any airplane.

When the light/object was almost directly over my head, the light suddenly went out. I didn’t see anything anymore.

It was a clear night tonight, so I should have been able to see something moving, but nothing – it just vanished! I do see strange stuff out here in the desert once in a while, when I go out at night, but most of it I never report.

Bright multi-colored flashing UFO seen above the mountains of Palm Springs, California in August, 2013.

Date: August xx, 2013 – I cannot remember the exact date now, but it was the beginning of August
Time: Around 8:00 pm

Direction: Looking towards the west, near the tram on top of the mountain
Event: My daughter, who is 10 years old came inside the house and told me to come out and look at this strange light in the sky. I went out immediately, and noticed a light, bigger than the Palm Springs tram light in the sky above the mountain ridge. It was positioned a little to the right and up above the tram light (about an inch to the left and 2 inches up above in a visual sense). The light was big and pulsating all different kinds of colors (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple, and which) – simply beautiful.

I quickly went inside to get the camera, but realized that the batteries were dead. I went out the back with my daughter and also told my wife to come and look at it outside. She’s not that surprised in UFO’s, but casually walked outside and looked up to see the same thing. This multi-color flashing object was there for about 10 minutes in the sky before slowing descending down below the mountain ridge. It did not reappear.

My daughter and I have seen things like this here in the night sky before. I have always believed in UFO’s and have seen a few instances in the past. I am always looking for them, but for some reason, never really ever see any, at least out here. I have also talked to others around the area out here that have seen other similar events, but never reported them or talked about them to anybody else.

I didn’t know about this site before, and have been very apprehensive about doing a report. I just usually don’t do reports like these since I consider these events normal, and read others reports all the time. However, I do feel better about posting this sighting. I wish I had others to talk to that have had similar experiences, but I don’t.

We saw bright lights in the night sky that shined right at us and our quick exit felt like it saved us.

We approached a bus stop and looked up into the sky and saw what appeared to be an automobile with headlights like the ones on an old model T Ford. The lights were super bright and pulsating. It had black grill work with a black knob in the middle. It was not an airplane. The lights were shining directly at us. It got uncomfortably close at a very fast pace.

As I hurried away at a high rate of speed in my car I heard a rumbling noise above my car and then I didn't see it again.

Indio Cathedral City Coachella Valley 2012 Sighting

In the evening, May 27, 2012, Coachella Valley CA , not sure of the exact time, nighttime, I was walking through our complex and to my right, to the South West, 4+ glowing white balls of light appeared to be in a vertical line,. I did not see them moving around. They were not evenly spaced between each other. They stayed there for at least 20 minutes, stationary. I knew already that there is nothing but a hilly area with a space between the hills. No poles no electrical lines no building happening no hikers in this space. I took a picture with my flip phone camera (2012), and tried to make a copy which was not clear at all. I have seen 1 video on youtube that is the exact same thing I saw, and a couple other videos showing the objects coming together to line up.

We saw what appeared to be a hovering fireball

My wife and I were driving home in Cathedral City, California at dusk; it was cloudy and drizzling. We noticed an orange/yellow spot of light up ahead that grew in intensity then faded back, all within about 1.5 seconds. We aren't certain whether the light disappeared behind the clouds, or if it faded to black. I can only guess the distance and altitude: I'm guessing between 50 and 100 miles away, and perhaps 1,000 to 10,000 feet altitude. I plotted the course on google earth, and the path went through Lucerne Valley.

I am an avid rocketeer, and I launch rockets at Lucerne dry lake with the club I belong to, but this didn't look like a rocket- it seemed to stay at the same altitude. I AM certain this was not a firework. I'm now disturbed, because I didn't have a clue where to report this until I googled it and found this site, and now I see that others have seen the same thing!! I hope it doesn't turn out to be something un-spectacular.

Bright growing and shrinking spherical light hovering high over east Coachella valley.

I went in the back yard earlier tonight for a cigarette and noticed a bright light hovering stationary high above to the east of me, it looked like it was over Indio or Coachella somewhere.

At first I thought it was a helicopter, but as I watched it, it split into two lights vaguely as it slowly rose higher.

I went back in the house for about 30 minutes and when I came back out it was still there as a single light, so I grabbed my video camera and started recording and zooming in.

With the camera at full zoom the light seemed to be a sphere and pulsate every color I can think of like a rainbow, then it would grow and fade out, and then it would shrink and get very bright. It seemed to be slowly gaining altitude and kept going through the light pattern I described.

I'm in the house now so I don't know if it is still out there. I will probably upload the footage to youtube when I have a chance.

Oval shaped, color-changing lights, erratic movements, appearing and reappearing.

My friend and I were outside in his backyard having a cigarette at about one in the morning when we noticed a strangely-lit object making a steadily-paced arch from left to right across the sky. Too fast to be a plane, also the lights on the object were like nothing I've seen before on any aircraft. The object was slightly disk-like, but more substantial. I would say more oval-shaped than anything. The lights moved in a horizontal line across the object in a dotty pattern and changed colors from pinkish-red to light green to white.

For a short time it was very close but it moved further away, still in our sights but not as clear. As it moved, the first thing that occurred to me that was odd about the flying object was the sound. It was completely silent except for when it was closer at first, but even then it didn't sound like any kind of engine at all. All we heard was a soft whirring wind noise. Also, its movements were eerie and very strange. Not like anything I've ever seen or heard of before.

When it moved further away, it stopped traveling and started hovering in place. The lights continued to revolve around itself in that dotty pattern and the only movement it made was a slow swinging from side to side.

My friend and I were really weirded out and this point. We kept trying to verbally convince ourselves that it was a plane or something of that nature, but it was becoming more and more obvious that it wasn't a plane at all.

Then we both saw the object vanish into thin air without warning. But almost a second later it reappeared in a new place directly to the left of its original spot. We watched it do this several more times, disappearing and reappearing in new locations that were all relatively close together. Its movements appeared very erratic, but effortless and swift at the same time. Then the object started traveling towards us. My friend and I were just staring at it, freaked out. It looked like it was coming straight for us. The object was rapidly growing larger in size as it closed the distance between us. It was then that I noticed more things about the object. There seemed to be a pinkish-purple haze surrounding it. Also, the object didn't look remotely metallic or industrial. It merely looked like an extremely dense concentration of energy in that oval-disky shape with the lights continuing to revolve around it. I can't say for sure that the object even looked solid. It was definitely substantial, but it looked to have formed out of a material that I couldn't begin to fathom, even now.

It stopped midair and remained completely still for a long ten seconds. At this time I could clearly make out its shape and the light patterns and color changes. Then it shot directly over our heads to the left and traveled an insane measure of distance in about half of a second. I wish I had a better sense of distance so I could be more accurate about this... Anyway, at this time both my friend and I were convinced that this was something not of this world. The movement was like no manmade aircraft I've ever seen. The movement was precise and liquid and smooth when it traveled that fast. Also, there was no sound. A plane, number one: could not have gone that fast, and number two: would have made a very loud noise when it was that close to us.

It then hovered in the left section of the sky, repeated the same swinging movements from before. It was slowly moving further away. My friend and I watched it for a little while longer until it disappeared from sight for good.

Needless to say, I really regret not having a decent camera function on my phone.

I witnessed a tiny dot of light move across the sky laterally at a VERY high rate of speed.

I was walking my dog in an empty lot next to our apartment complex in Cathedral City, California (next to Palm Springs) at about 9:50 p.m. When I noticed a very small dot of yellowish-whitish light moving in the sky from the northwest to the southeast at a VERY high rate of speed -- too fast to possibly be any kind of aircraft.

I tracked it move across the horizon for a couple of seconds, but it was small to begin with and began to fade as it moved farther from where I was, and it moved into an area bathed with light from a very bright moon that evening, and I lost sight of it.

It absolutely, positively was not an airplane. It was a tiny dot of light. Any airplane I've seen, even at the highest of elevations, never appears as a dot this small. And again, it moved way too fast to be an airplane.

It appeared to the eye about the size of the satellites you can sometimes spot in the night sky out in the country. But whereas satellites make a slow track through the sky, this shot across it.

It's occurred to me that it could be a shooting star, except there was no downward trajectory to it whatsoever. It was moving laterally.

11-13-07 object over Palm Springs California leaves billowing white trail but makes no sound.

This event took place while I was working outside-time is approximate but I would say 7:15 or 7:20. The morning was warm and sunny and the sky was clear. When I first noticed it my thought was that it was a plane leaving a con trail (this was very near the Palm Springs airport) but I could not see any object only a large bright white plume. However, something was emitting a billowing plume behind it. The plume was not like a standard con trail- it billowed or seemed to roll behind the object almost like pulsing out-and also dissapated quite quickly - I would say it dissapated in maybe 2000 feet. Another interesting thing to note is that I could not hear it (I was about a mile from it) nor actually see an object ahead of the plume. Airplanes engines make noise and in this valley you can definitely hear them from much further away. I work around the airport and I am familiar with all the engine sounds that our air traffic makes, but this did not make any sound. Mount San Jacinto is approximately 12,000 feet high and was the background setting as this object went by, close to the mountain, heading west to east at an altitude of approximately, based on the height of the mountain, 8,000 feet. I also used the height of the mountain to estimate the length of the trail. I have to believe that tons of folks also witnessed this but found no mention of it on any of the news broadcasts. I have never seen an airplane leave a con trail at that altitude here nor seen a con trail like it. I had my binoculars in the car, unfortunately not around my neck, so I couldn't get a better look at whatever it was. But, as I said, I was working at the time and the work was time sensitive and demanding of my attention so I had to focus back on my work. When I had a chance to look for the object, about 2 minutes later, it was gone or out of sight. Has anyone seen anything similar or perhaps witnessed this same object? I have seen a few unidentified objects through the years but nothing like this. This was totally di! fferent.

the first time i saw this happen i was at the park laying down on a park bench this was last year on july i was looking into the sky and all of a sudden i saw a very bright dot on the sky traveling from one star to another from south to north then i tought it was an airplane but then i realize that airplanes dont go so high and then it happened again, and then again three times total this object was traveling like it was going to stop and then kept going, and then this february around the 11th i was jogging and i decided to stop at the park and i was laying donw at the same bench and it happened again but this time the object traveled a farther distance but it only happened once and it was between 6:00 and 7:00 pm i can show you were it happened i think this is a regular route for this objects, this kind of sighting happened to me in mexico same kind of object very bright round shape, it happened at the beach well i hope you guys find my story interesting. thank you

Two white translucent "jellyfish" objects repeatedly change shape; 5-10 thousand feet high in blue afternoon sky 60-90 Minutes.

Staying at motel resort in Cathedral City, CA (Palm Springs). All of us were in the pool on rafts, some guys were splashing and goofing off. One guy said to the group "Is that a weather balloon?" We stared at it. It wasn't drifting away like ordinary balloons. Suddenly started to change shape from round to oval to rectangular to square shape (yet still maintaining white "jellyfish" color. Three to four metalic speckles kept circling the object. Wasn't debris nor birds. This was a clear blue Palm Springs day. No rain or thunder clouds visible. The object kept same altitude (about 5-10 thousand feet high). I ran inside my motel room and grabbed my Minolta 4X megapixal digital camera and snapped these shots. Guys in pool laughed at me, but no one could give positive description of what opbject really was... All of us perplexed and baffled at what we saw on clear sunny late afternoon.
