I was driving east to pick up my son from school when I saw about nine metallic color objects in the horizon sky.

I was driving east on Mission Ave going to pick up my son from school, when I saw about nine metallic objects in the sky flying in a some kind of formation. So I safely pulled over to start taking pictures and a video. By the time I pulled over and got my phone out there was only one. I tried filming the somewhat round object it was moving all over the place. All of a sudden the object seemed to split into two objects. Just second later four objects appeared out of nowhere approximately ninety degrees up to the left of the splitting two objects and vanished.

It looked like a floating prism in the sky. It moved in a way that’s doesn’t seem possible, we have videos of it.

I was at the pool with a friend when he saw a floating prism in the sky. It was moving slowly across the skyline, it was black. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen. I’m not much into conspiracy theories, as a neuroscientist I only look at facts and truth, but I truly don’t know what it was and it freaks me out to think about. I have searched for months for anything closely related to what it resembled to no avail, this is my last attempt at finding any truth about what I saw.

Me and my boyfriend were in the car while he was driving, and I was in the passenger seat. Since the time changed we usually catch the sunrise so I was looking east from the 15 southbound freeway towards the mountains where the sun was peaking. 1st the sky was clear until I looked back and started to see the sun peak from behind the mountains the sun was rising as I watched. I took my eyes off the sky for about 1 minute to look at my phone and looked back up. I noticed an oval/disk object that was a gray metallic color it was supper bright and shiny. I didn't think anything of it okay my eyes are trying to adjust but I was starring at the object and it was still there airborne and super still it was too shiny for my eye to see it from the freeway all the way from where the sun was at so I know It was not an airplane or any aircraft of the US at all, I waited and waited than next thing I see is it moved to the left super fast i mean its like if you had your mouse curser on your screen moving it fast. It shifted left and than disappeared. I thought maybe I was tripping but no what I seen was not an airplane, jet or any aircraft. It was something I have never seen within my 22 years of living.

Large unlit object rapidly passing at a consistent speed/direction across the sky

Noticed a large unlit object moving in the sky above me that I thought was a bat or hawk due to the size shape and lack of light omitted until I realized it was traveling very rapidly at a consistent speed yet the object itself wasn’t moving / flapping/ or moving at all off its path. It was shaped almost like a b2 bomber, with no light at all but was visible in the same way a bird silhouette would be in the night sky. Traveled all the way across the sky, and never changed direction or speed. Very large and was so speedy it took less than a minute to cross the entire skyline and disappear into the horizon.

I was talking to my friend and we saw the UFO head straight first but then it turned around in midair and disappeared in the sky

There were no clouds in the sky and it disappeared into the clear blue sky when it turned around midair, no planes can turn midair so it was definitely a UFO.

I was flying my drone for a contract in a residential neighborhood. I had my drone above a house at about 50’ AGL. While I was looking up at my drone at an upward 70 degree angle toward the east, I saw an extremely small spherical white object with no other distinguishing features moving eastward in a straight line smoothly and rapidly at the same altitude. My estimate is that the sphere was at 2000’ AGL and moving at about 500 mph. I continued to track it with my eyes until I could no longer see it for about
30 seconds. I expected to hear sound from the object but I did not. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to record photos or videos. If I looked away I assumed I would lose sight of the object.

Just before sunset. Object in hovering-type behavior. Slow moving. Slowly moved from SSW towards the North. It intermittently faded in and out from view as it moved. Then it was gone for a few minutes and reappeared a few degrees to the South and started moving towards the South.

It was difficult to identify the shape. Using binoculars it appeared ash-like but reminiscent of the To The Stars Academy footage. Kind of bulky on one side, narrow on the other. But not egg-shaped. Seemed to rotate in a similar manner. I'd guess the height was anywhere from 5 miles up to 20 miles.

I already tried to look up if any weather balloons were released but couldn't find any leads.

Fireball at high speed, suddenly stopped, stayed in place for a few seconds, went straight up, blinked, brightened, then disappeared.

Seen on 10.21.18 in northeastern part of Escondido. Object looked like a fireball, traveling north. At first I thought it was a plane on fire that was going to crash. Then I thought it was a meteor and we'd get to see it burn itself out. It was heading at high speed towards where we were standing, I was scared it was going to crash and cause damage. But then it STOPPED. It stayed in the same place for a few seconds. Then it started going higher, just going straight up, and we watched it get smaller until it looked like a star, except for a reddish-orange glow. Then it blinked out. I stared at where it was for a second or 2, it blinked back on, got brighter, blinked a few more times then was gone. My friend was standing next to me when I saw this, I alerted him to it while it was still traveling at high speed. He was able to get some of it on video, but only after it had stopped.

I went outside and waited for my grandfather and mother to drive to the store. I gazed up into the sky, and saw a moving orange ball like aircraft. I thought it was a Chinese lantern at first, but soon realized that the lanterns do not move very fast. It was an orange-red circle figure. It moved normally in a straight line heading east/southeast.

Then after 20 seconds of doing that, it started ascending into the sky. It took about 7 seconds to ascend before disappearing. A few seconds before ascending, it made a jet like noise which I thought was awkward. There were some clouds visible, but it was clear enough to where you could see the stars and all.

The video footage I have is unedited, but I did zoom in while filming to get a better view of the object.

Moving star enters atmosphere and becomes greyish metallic sphere across the dusk sky.

A shooting star appeared to enter the atmosphere and became a grey sphere travelling at high speed from west to east at around 19:35. It was silent, left no trail or sonic boom, had no lights or blinking lights of any kind. It went from directly above to the eastern horizon in 3-4 seconds.

As it left the sunlight that's when we could see the shape and greyish matte color as the object grew larger in size and disappeared into the darkness of the night.

just picking up a pizza in Escondido walking to my truck. Looked up at 2 moving objects in formation. orange orbs. I waited for blinkie lights.. None noticed. Continued to watch them move overhead. No sound. Then they blinked out together, vanished.

I shrugged it off continued walking to my truck when 2 more appeared in formation moving in the same direction. I stopped again, this time whipped out my cell phone and took several pictures... Same thing watched as they went up and blinked out.

I got in my truck and started to drive out of the parking lot and as I turned on to the road I saw 3 more orbs in formation following the same pattern. I had to concentrate on driving , and could not watch.

Small light like a star explodes into what looks like a tiny firework. The flash/fireball retains it's shape and is surrounded by a haze which is lit up by the light of the craft and creates a halo around it. Almost looks like a bright airplane light shining through fog, but this is a clear night. The craft slowly moves to the right, leaving a bright blue/teal trail of light behind it. The fireball fades and the blue trail remains for at least 5 more minutes. Maybe a high tech flare, or maybe something else??

Saturday 11/7/2015 Escondido, CA Around 6pm my wife pointed to the sky and exclaimed, "What's that?!" I looked up to the west and saw something flying across the sky with a very long fiery tail behind it, on the order or hundreds if not thousands of feet long. It looked like what I imagine a rocket would at night.

The tail fizzled out within 10 or 15 seconds, but the object kept flying. Then a giant spherical smoke cloud eminated, which quickly kept expanding towards us. The cloud also had an iridescence to it, sort of greenish blue, which kept glowing for a few minutes. It was very ominous. My wife asked if we should leave the area, but I was overwhelmed with curiousity and elected to stick it out.

After the cloud appeared, the made a slow turn away from us, maybe 90 degrees, and kept flying. It remained visible for a few minutes, before being washed out by local light pollution.

I'm VERY curious to know what this was, or if anyone else saw it (other airplane in the area flew near the cloud, so check FAA reports too).

It was round and was moving towards my building and getting larger and then the light started to turn into a cross shape the closer it got to my building.

I was in awe at first and wanted to keep looking but was too afraid to take a picture and stand looking at it so as it got closer and bigger I ran towards my outside door and hid in the door way away from my patio window and the bright cross light shape.

I waited a moment or two and went back to the patio window and assumed that it passed over my building.

Two distinct lights, similar to satellites, one following other, rotate about axis, change positions and then direction.

I was just outside our house in Escondido at approximately 4:40am on the morning of 9/16/2014. My husband just went back inside for a minute. I was staring up at the sky, stargazing as I very often do. It's a treat when I get to see a meteorite or even a passing satellite. But this time...

There were two very bright, but very high lights passing from East to West. I've seen many satellites passing in my life, and if I had to guess, they were many miles from each other, but within about 5 degrees from each other in my field of view. They looked like most satellites do when passing, a white to red/orange reflective light, but they were slightly brighter than other satellites I had observed. One following the other perfectly.

Then, a few seconds after I saw them, they rotated about an axis and switched positions while still moving West, and continued on in perfectly swapped places. Then the new lead light continued on, while the new trailing light veered off South and disappeared. The leading light soon disappeared (faded) as I would expect of a satellite reentering the earth's shadow.

All of this in the span of 15-20 seconds. My observation covered an arc of about 45 degrees from the time I noticed until the remaining light was not visible.

I have observed many passing satellites, the space station, the old shuttles in my life. I am a smoker who is up late night and early morning and go outside and stare at the sky. I've never seen an event like this, and my main reaction was to repeatedly say out loud, "What is that?"

And this was of course one of the few times I've walked outside without my phone on me, not that I think it would have recorded a viable video even if I had gotten to it in time.

Orange and red pulsating sphere suddenly appeared in the sky and continued dimming and brightening before fading entirely. Never moved.

At approx 10:09pm PST tonight, I saw a sudden bright light appear in the sky just above the treeline and hill tops. The light increased and decreased in brightness and was the shade of an orange streetlamp.

Upon stepping outside for a clearer look, I noticed it had a primarily orange color with what looked like red lights spread throughout.

The light continued pulsating in brightness but appeared to be staying in the same position. It would grow faint and then bright again until after about 3-4 minutes max, the light slowly faded from view completely while still in the same spot.

On the evening of April 10, 2014, at 9:15 P.M., my husband and I were traveling on Interstate 15 north in north San Diego County, California. My husband spotted a bright light in the sky. It was too low to be a star and it did not appear to be moving. We took a picture of the light.

After viewing the photo, we noticed two rectangular illuminated objects, side by side, and directly above the objects were three saucers with lights around the diameter.

When taking the picture, the bright light was the only thing that was visible. But, once viewing and expanding the photo these images appeared.

orange orb clearing sky multiplies into three, one goes back in the direction it came and the other two kept going.

We saw a bright orange/gold light that looked as if it was ascending but then took a different direction and started to clear the sky.

It came from an eastern direction and traveled to the west. As it was moving above us, it looked as if it was expanding and looked like it was dropping a bomb. The color of the object it dropped was orange/gold as well and looked like it was falling towards us.

I was thinking that if it was bomb we were in trouble. The object that was falling then started to go back to the eastern part of the sky and the original light kept moving in the western part of the sky. Then the original light split in two and traveled together out of sight. This object was moving in a very high speed. It looked as something was melting out of it. I was able to see something because of the moonlight but not able to make sense of what it was. It was still orange under the moonlight but I can’t think of what type of craft can come so close and not make any kind of sound.

In total there were three objects, at first as one then it multiplied. They were the brightest objects in the sky. It was not a meteor because these objects took different paths, one went back to the eastern sky and the other two kept moving to the west until they disappeared.

28 objects sighted moving west to east, just below Venus; single light, thought to be satellites but not.

First object noticed had single light; no aircraft running lights observed or sound; attention to eye came from believing it was a satellite-- moving from west to east, just below Venus; just bright enough to be believed to be a satellite yet dim enough given relative speed to the stars to believe same. Watched for minute- then noticed second light in tandem, about a fist width apart to the southwest-- caught interest as never seen satellites orbing in tandem. Got binoculars. Again more single lights appeared from west, below Venus, .... then third... fourth.... fifth... evenly spaced-- same relative speed.... counted total of 28 following same flight path, same relative speed; each a single light- no running lights; no sound at all, all moving west to east at velocity one would believe was a satellite in orbit. Only guess would be aircraft leaving a carrier to land at an airbase in San Diego-- but no sound at all-- and only a single light- no red/green flas! hing running lights.

Saw a craft ejecting red flares over the night sky in Southern California

On Monday, November 04, 2013, at approximately 20:04 hrs., my girlfriend and I walked out of our home to take our dog for a walk in the northwest part of the city of Escondido, California.

As soon as we walked outside, I noticed a reddish/amber light in the northwestern sky. The light was so bright that I mentioned it to my girlfriend and said something to the effect of “I wonder if that’s Mars or Venus so bright tonight?”

We both stopped to look at the object and we both noticed that it was moving. We kept our eyes on it as we walked another 50 feet or so. The light moved from our northwest to our southeast. We both stopped walking, and I remarked at how bright the object was, but that it didn’t have any blinking lights on it (the kind I normally would associate with an aircraft).

As the object was flying in the southeast horizon, we clearly began to see red flare-like objects coming from the bright amber lighted craft. The objects were glowing red, similar to the color and intensity of a roadside flare. We saw approximately nine (9) of these “flares” come from the craft over a span of three (3) to five (5) minutes. At least one of these flares broke apart into two independent “flares”. We watched them fall downward under trees obscured our view of them. They were still lit/glowing as they disappeared from our view.

After the last of these “flares”, the bright amber craft simply and suddenly “winked out” and disappeared from the sky. It did not slowly fade away, nor did we see it fly away. It was simply visible one moment, then gone the next. It may be worth mentioning that we could not hear any jet or propeller noise from the craft.

We felt that what we had seen was odd enough that we contacted the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, and described what we saw to them. The SDSO connected us to the Northwest Region of the FAA. I spoke with a lady named Karen who conferenced in a man named Charlie from San Diego Tracon (sp?). Charlie was unaware of anything that should be dropping flares over San Diego County. Karen suggested that I contact the UFO Center. I spoke with Mr. Davenport who asked us to write a description of what we saw while the details were still fresh in our minds. Mr. Davenport asked that we contact the National Weather Service for wind speed information. We called the San Diego office of the National Weather Service, but could not reach a live person.

Star sized reddish orange glowing sphere seen hovering, floating, and disappearing in Escondido's night sky.

It was around 12 that night that I had left a friends house and walked down the street to wait for a ride.

Minutes later I noticed a small red/orange glowing orb or sphere in the sky up high and off the horizon. I was surprised by this due to the fact that it was not a clear night, but instead one with rather low visibility having only a few stars in the sky. At first I thought it was mars, but then quickly dismissed that as the hovering object began to move across the sky about the same speed as a plane, yet with no flashing lights or noise just a silent steady glow. The object continued to float across the sky in an upward zig zag pattern for a few minutes, which made me think it could have been a red chinese lantern, but I could tell by the size ratio in the sky and the high altitude it was at that this could not be possible.

As it approached a nearby star the object stayed motionless, let off a white glow and then faded into a dim light (that could have been mistaken as a star) and then ultimately disappeared and vanished into thin air.

After its disappearance I was left in shock feeling uneasy, and overwhelmed, the experience even led me to tears. Although the whole event only lasted roughly 3 to 5 minutes it changed my life forever.

As I went outside to go toss out the trash, I saw from my side peripheral vision flashes up in the night sky. The flashing looked to me like the type you see right before a lightning strike.

Thinking that it's odd since the skies looked clear, I immediately looked up & to my surprise, saw 3 large flashing spheres.

For that split second I looked up & saw the flashing spheres, they stopped flashing at that point. However, after they stopped flashing, I was able to make out a LARGE (COLOSSAL) dark rectangular object sailing by from which the spheres were flashing under it.

For the MONSTROUS size it was, I heard no sound. Best way to describe what I saw in simple terms: A silent sailing TITANIC ship with 3 large round white spheres flashing from underneath.

I was stunned and amazed at the same time. I've seen in the past, on other nights, a strange red/orange shiny light strongly brighten & then drop some type of flares/orbs on 2 or 3 different occasions. But this night, I saw something much more intense & phenomenal!!

Line of eight orange lights that didn't move. It appeared, a few lights went off, came back on, then all went off simultaneously.

I went outside to get my mail at around 19:00 or 19:05. As I was turning around to walk back across the street and up my driveway, I noticed a line of lights to the north of my location. My street is on a hill, so it is easy to see far away to the north. As you look north during the daytime, you'd see a mountain in the direction of the UFO. However, the UFO was above the mountain, so it couldn't have been on the side of the mountain.

Anyways, I was staring at it and it looked like it was right over the city of Escondido. The shape was a slanted line of orange lights; the right side was the side that was slanted up. It was fairly small, so I couldn't resolve the lights with my naked eyes.

After looking at it for a few minutes, all of the lights went off except for a few on the very left side. I ran to grab my binoculars (they are 15x70), and when I returned, I saw three small, close together lights through my binoculars. I ran back to my house to get a tripod! because my hands were shaky, and when I returned, all the lights were back on.

I saw eight small, orange lights almost in a straight line, except the lights on the sides were curled up, as if the lights were on a saucer. I couldn't discern a craft; I only saw the lights. I stared at it until all the lights went off simultaneously. They just vanished.

During the whole time I watched the lights, none of them moved; they all stayed in the same place relative to each other and relative to the ground. I watched them until about 19:15, which was when they disappeared.

Intermittent pulsing blue light at high altitude with random movement

Incident Date: 10/15/2012 11:02 PDT High altitude, blue/green light appeared in the visual vicinity of Jupiter. Object appeared to Pulse at random intervals and with random lengths of duration.

Object was first thought to be stationary, but after approximately 2 minutes of observation, it changed position in the sky. The object continued to appear around the area of Jupiter in the sky. Moving in a random, yet semi-circular pattern, it remained in a relatively small area of view until approximately 11:15 PM. At this time the object appeared to move in a South Westerly direction, but at varying rates of speed and with multiple apparent sudden "darting" movements and course deviations.

The object then appeared once again to stay in a relatively small area of the sky, but continued exhibiting sudden bursts of movements in random directions and often at near to absolute right angles.

I continued to watch this object for approximately 55 minutes before it eventually seemed to either cease to emit light, or moved out of visual range.

Throughout the entirety of this event, the pulse demonstrated no apparent pattern or rhythmic behavior as would a typical aircraft anti-collision light array. It was also not accompanied by the typical white and red lights of traditional aircraft.

Based on my personal experiences as a pilot and lifelong aircraft enthusiast, with a profound understanding of aerodynamics and atmospheric phenomenon, I would estimate the object to be upper atmospheric or low space in altitude. There was no accompanying noise to indicate any type of typical aircraft propulsion and the ability to both “hover” and perform abrupt, high speed changes in direction as well as sudden bursts of acceleration run contrary to what is understood to be within the aerodynamic capabilities of winged or rotor aircraft. I.e. the altitude alone would prohibit sufficient lifting across a typical wing surface without the object having to move at a constant and extremely high rate of speed.

The object also demonstrated none of the typical behaviors of satellites or other near earth orbiting objects, either Geo-stationary or Geo-synchronous.

Bright Unusual Lights Shapeshifting and Pulsating in Escondido CA

We have wittnessed pulsating bright lights sense Aug.16 - Sept. 25 2012. I imagine They will continue. It started off one evening when my neighbor knocked on my door to look at something in the skies within sight of my backyard.

I was shocked and took pics of this bright starlike object. When the pics were examined from my smartphone we realized it was not a star but a shape Shifting anomaly.

My pics were scary. These things pretend to be stars until you examine your pics and realize they are not stars! Now I have 10-12 dotting the mountainside in my rural area. I'm affected by the amount now of these things and plan on leaving This area.

Good afternoon, In 2012, I was at a gathering at a friends house enjoying the night on a weekend evening with the 5 of us including myself. At some point in the night, we saw a triangular shaped, black, massive UAP/UFO in San Diego, California - while sitting in chairs around a fire and swapping stories and laughs. My friend's couch in the backyard patio was always facing East and that's where I was sitting when first noticing it (his patio never moved the way the couch and fridge were facing, fridge south couch east away from the I-5).
The black triangle had 3 green lights, one at each corner vertices' of the UAP that would change from green to purple, very very slowly and simultaneously (all three lights appeared to be the same hue and shade of green to purple). For the majority of the encounter the lights were a green hue. It hovered in place slowly rotating and making no noise at all, its rotation was not on an X or Y axis like plane barrel roll or a forward/ backward flip but very ambiguous and slow.

If I had to guess, it was about the size of 2 football fields or 200m roughly; 5 of us watched it for a couple of hours - for the most part it remained practically stationary except slowly rotating/hovering - after a few hours it flew away at extremely high speeds, if I had to guess it would be at a speed of 0 MPH to 3,000+ of MPH or hyper-sonic speeds that should break the sound barrier, but this UAP did not. As mentioned previously, we were facing towards the East when the UAP zipped off from our East to the North/North West towards Camp Pendleton and LA.

I have lived near the Miramar Air Base & Camp Pendleton most of my life and it was nothing from there that is public knowledge. I did not feel any fear at all, my friends did however I did not, I did feel a bit nervous though because one of my friends became disturbed from it not moving for about an hour possibly 2. Lastly I would like to mention that I worked near the Miramar airbase for half a decade and NEVER saw or heard anything like this.

My husband and I earlier saw two red objects in the sky when we were out watching the fireworks from our hillside. I reported them immediately.

We then went outside again and saw three more of the same. My husband is a pilot. These were not planes.

They came from the north and he estimates they were flying 5,000 to 7,000 altitude.

They all went to essentially the same area then descended vertically into the atmosphere.

We watched the red lights to about 35,000 until we could not see them anymore.

I went outside on may 11, at 10:35 pm to smoke and looked up at the stars. I noticed a blue light that looked to be the same hight as a star moving. I watched it move in a half circle when i called for my daughter to come out and see the light. It made no sound and somtimes it looked more green then blue.

We watched the light make a complete circle around our niegborhood. My daughter tryed to get a picture but it didnt turn out.It flashed every once and a while then faded untill it was out of sight. A few mins later we herd jets flying over and my daughter said she herd them on and off for an hour. We have seen this light befor just last week and also last year. My husband an niece have also witnessed this light. I read on here that another person reported seeing last month. I dont know what it is my husband thinks its boarder controll helicoper. I dont know what to think. My camera is charged I will try to get a picture next time.

Intense green pulsing light in sky

Quiet evening, just after midnight, setting out the trash for pickup. At first I thought it was an unusually bright star in the north west sky. As it got closer I realized it was a bright green color (like a green laser). I called my wife out with the binoculars for a second opinion. It was a single point of intense green light that pulsed on and off at different speeds and intervals (almost like morse code at times). It slowly traversed directly overhead in in a southeast direction, slightly changing velocity and direction as it went. Its movement was slower than a passing satellite (taking about 10 minutes from horizon to horizon). When it was overhead it was much brighter than Sirius. Even with binoculars it still looked like a single point of light.

It made no sound, but it did frighten my wife. She was grabbing on to me and hiding behind me. I have never seen her react this way to anything.

Dark "loud-like" shape suddendly appeared on the sky, then changed into a funnel-like shape then split into three round disk shapes

I was driving north from San Diego to my house in Escondido at around 4:30pm. on a sunny, clear blue sky with some white clouds. When I reached the top of the hill at Racho Bernardo, I saw a small (far away) dark (grey) cloud-like shape suddendly appear on the sky over the San Pascual Mauntains. The dark shapped "cloud" changed shaped very quickly and it streched to a funnel-like shape and then back to more rounder shape. a few seconds later it split into three round shapes that started moving left and right slowly and they appear to fade in and out. the round shapes then started moving faster in short, random directions like a pinball getting smaller and larger, and then all three shapes "flew" or disapeard from my sight behind the mountain.

Seriously????? I even took off my sun glasses to make sure it wasn't anything stuck to them.. I looked away and then back to see if it was only my vision but no it was real.

I'd be interested to know if I was the only one who saw this.

It was 10:30 at night when I spotter a grey triangular flying object that was at a very low altitude.

I had just finished a work out in my living room at about 10:30 PM when I went into my restroom to see my progress. I then looked out a little window in the restroom and saw a strange triangular shaped flying object. It made no noise and seemed to hoover. It moved slowly and I just stared in disbelief. When I realized what was going on I went for my cell phone and went outside to record this only took me a few seconds. When i went outside the object was gone. The following nights I would go and stare out my window to see if it would pass again, but it didn't. I also felt strange during the nights I felt scared and I could't go to sleep it was unusual. It felt like someone was watching me, taking me to places. The memories are very faint, but I do remember feeling strange.

Description: Triangular shape with three lights at each end, hovered made no noise, moved slow at first but then vanished, only saw one, was a grey color, very low altitude looked like it was about to hit some houses,

Pulsing light seen in South Escondido, CA was very fast and like nothing I have ever seen.

Very bright when 1st sighted. Flashed red, green, blue, yellow, orange. Seemed to be rotating. Hovering for several minutes. It moved away from us very rapidly, faster then anything I have ever seen flying and I have seen many military aircraft in the years I have lived in this area. It dimmed very fast and disappeared suddenly and was gone. This is nothing like my fiancee nor I have ever seen. No sound at all it is a very quite night. It seemed to be about 2 miles away and the size of a dime from that distance so it must have been fairly large. At times it there also appeared to be a second much smaller shape off to the right very close but may have been an affect of the flashing. The flashing was not timed or steady but more pulsing and was brighter sometimes then dimmed. The shape seemed to be disk or round as much as we could tell. That is about it. Thank you.

The object if you can picture it was the color of one of those yellow or streetlights lights in the sky. Also the flight pattern was extremely irregular; very slow and went from low on the horizon to very high. Never touched ground. Also it either hovered very high or flew in a straight pattern for an extended period because it didn't look like it was moving. Finally, after hoovering or flying straight at a high altitude for a few minutes the light shot off 5 to 6 smaller redlights in a slow succession like chaff from a plane. The light began blinking aggressively less than ten times and completely disappeared from sight. Two people saw the light in the sky however this will be the only report. Weirdest object I have ever seen in the sky.

It was 11:30pm and I went outside to smoke. I was looking at the moon and looked to the west I saw a blue flashing light.It was as bright as a star.I thought it was a satellite. It was to high to be a helicopter and it was not a plane. I called for my daughter and she did not know what it was either. I continued to watch the light blink for 5 mins and it started to move west and dissapered. My husband and niece saw the same light a few nights ago.

Star-like object seen above San Diego Wild Animal Park.

I was outside, and I saw what I thought was a plane about 10-20 miles away (toward the San Diego Wild Animal Park). The course was pretty linear at first, but I noticed a few minutes later that it had started to zigzag. The effect was very minor, as one wouldn't notice if one weren't staring directly at it. After a minute or so of zigzagging, it parked in the air for about five minutes, then began again.

After another few minutes of movement, it parked again. After about ten minutes of staring at it, I had to go back into the house, and wasn't able to see it again. The entire time I was watching it, it looked like a bright star or a plane. It had a white-blue glow, and it pulsated with a red glow. The final time I stared at it, I could swear that I could see barely visible points of light dancing off to its side. There was no sound, no distinguishable shape, and it didn't touch down.

Triangular Shaped Object with Flashing Lights Flying over Escondido Friday Night Oct 9, 2009.

Around 7:30 pm during Cruising Grand, a large group of individuals noticed a triangular shaped object in the sky. At this time I looked up and noticed the same. This object had flashing white lights in what looked like the underside of the craft. These lights formed the triangular shape. There were also some red lights flashing what looked to be above the craft and some blue lights flashing periodically underneath the object. This craft was moving very very slowly towards the east. At one point the object stopped moving and abruptly dropped down what looked to be a couple thousand feet then immediately jumped back up in the sky in a matter of seconds. Everyone was talking and were astonished at this sighting. As a helicopter came to view in the sky, the object vanished.

2 ligths up in the escondido sky

One of my uncles was outside he was looking up in the sky when he suddenly saw 2 lights.They were moving at a high speed one was blue and the other was a yellow then it changed colors to green and a red orange.

The one changing colors seemed to be following the blue light. At times the changing color light stopped or was left behind and the blue light flashed a bright blue light kind of communicating with the changing colored light.

Then both moved up until disappearing into the sky. This is not the first time we see the lights but sometimes it's only one. They usually tend to appear after 10pm at night and come up from the same spot.

blue light sighting for the third time

I keep seeing this really bright blue light in the sky at what seems to be a really high altitude. The thing is, is that we have seen it three times now. Tonight it was around midnight, on July 23, it was around 11pm, and we saw it first in June. It was around midnight again, but we thought that was going to be a one and only sighting! Seeing it again in July made me start logging it down. This light spends several minutes at a time just sitting in one position. Then it leaves, all three times in a different direction, at a good rate of speed.

It happened Sunday evening just after midnight. My roomate and myself were smoking a cigarette. He jumped up and exclaimed "what the **** is that!?." Looking up, we both noticed a cigar shaped line of neon blue, almost LED lights. The lights stretched the entire width (from what we could see). The lights would also start to glow brighter, then dim back down. This happened throughout the entire event. The craft was coming from the North, East of us, and slowly heading South. Because it was dark and the moon was out, after a few minutes it was hard to keep an eye on without using our peripheral vision alone. The last thing we noticed, was the craft did not follow the curve of the earth as it went south. It stayed in a single location in the sky, yet grew smaller and harder to see.

Blue lights over escondido

It has now been 2 times in 2 months that i have seen a blue light object coming in from the north moving south then stopping and after many minutes it ascends up. This time i have 4 witnesses and the blue lights on the vehicle were even brighter this time. The light start greeenish/blue to the right of the craft going left to a bright blue. I know i am not the only one to have seen this but need others to varify. Also, i was low enough for me to hear sounds and i heard none coming from it.

I witnessed a high altitude light traveling at high speed moving from approximately south to north. I viewed the object from my drive way while smoking a cigarette, I looked for flashing lights to indicate an aircraft but saw none, this may be due to the extreme altitude it was flying. it moved swiftly and shifted in color from yellow to red before disappearing. The object was about as bright as the surrounding stars.

color changing flashes fly from southeast of Escondido to overhead then change direction and disappears.

I was looking to the Southeast skies from the driveway of my house. The moon was not yet showing and there were no clouds in the sky. I saw a brightly lit object in the sky several finger widths above the horizon and wondered which planet it was since it was too large to be a star or if I was actually seeing a satellite or the space station. To the right of the object I saw what I thought was a plane flashing a very intense green navigation light. I say intense because it was “starring”. As I watched it, the green flashing changed in color and flashing pattern. The color changed from a light green through the color spectrum to a purple between flashes or it glowed a few seconds changing colors. The flashing pattern wasn't steady. I studied the object several minutes perceiving that its flight path was stalling, then changing course by several degrees, then correcting to its original course. To make sure I wasn’t seeing things I went inside to ask my brother in law to look at it as well. I thought I was seriously seeing things. As he came outside it was still very high in altitude but closer to us. We both stood in my driveway looking at the object continue to change: color, light intensity, speed, and minute direction. Its general course was to the Northwest. At this time we had been watching it for 9 minutes and it was just past directly overhead. I was expecting to see the red navigation light or an anti-collision light but there weren’t any. It stopped and hovered at a very high altitude for several minutes. About this time a neighbor was coming outside to get in his car and drive somewhere. He paused for a moment looking at my bother in law am I staring at the sky above us. Then he looked up through his windshield and promptly rolled down his window asking us what that was that we all were looking at. He said, "I don’t think it’s a plane." To which we both said, "Not sure yet, but it could be."

As we said that it started moving directly to the south. It didn’t make a rolling turn. There was no normal aircraft movement in that you would normally see. Even a fast break with speed flaps does not turn 140 degrees to the left instantly. It continued on the southern course and a much faster rate of speed and appeared to be getting smaller. Then it suddenly disappeared or stopped flashing. As it did so, the stars in the area started to all blink in unison. They blinked like this for several minutes then did the normal blinking from atmospheric condition if you will.

I have a background in military aviation maintenance and as a flight observer on helicopters. I have flown over 450 hours of night flights both aided and unaided. I was a weapons instructor for 2 years. Currently I work for a civil aviation company that designs and sells UAV’s.

My brother in law has a background in computer repair and networking.

Was driving home from work 11pm ish on hwy 15 heading north near deer springs exit and suddenly say a light green flame shaped light heading north ( in my direction); appeared from behind a hill. It looked to be about 200 feet long and in about 6-10 seconds disappeared behind another hill; It was moving quite fast and horizontally; I had my window open and don't believe it emitted any sound; no doubt about what I saw and was totally surprised at the unusual color ( light green ), direction of travel and large size! Observer is former Air Force, and scientist.

I was sleeping in my son's room. I got up to open the window to the bedroom. It was a very cool and clear night. I watched a spherical craft as i was looking into the Southwest skies. It had lights around it flashing. It came into site from the bedroom window.

I saw it travel at a high rate of speed in a downward motion until I could not see it because the neighbors house was blocking the view.

Unusual, pulsating blue light near Cygnus

I just finished observing an extraordinary phenomena in the eastern sky, south east of Cygnus. The local time was 10:01 PM (when I first started observing) and the event spanned until 10:10. The object was a pulsating, star-like object that stayed within about 5 degrees south east of epsilon-Cygnus or Gienah. What first struck me was the brightness, near that of Deneb at its peak, but falling to darkness within a few seconds. It repeated this behavior many times. The other aspect was the color, a brilliant blue. This was observed from central Escondido, California - near 33 deg 7' minutes north, -117 deg 3 min west.

So the obvious issue was the elimination of possibilities. First, the object did not travel in a straight line and did not appear to be moving at a velocity for orbital motion, so it certainly didn't seem to be a satellite.

Second it nearly hovered at some points, not characteristic of an aircraft. Considering the time duration it was no meteor. The color and therefore the color temperature, would match a very high temperature object, above 10,000 K. Not a common object near the Earth.

It did move in the sky, so it wasn't a distant astronomical object.

It didn't seem to progress like a balloon, but that is "up in the air". It was no "Chinese lantern" with that intense blue color. There was no sound. It was too long in duration for an Iridium flash, and was too blue. So it could have been a high altitude UAV or other test aircraft with a bizarre blue light. It might have been a balloon with a similar light. It was certainly a mystery and I wondered if it had been observed by others.

I am an engineer and amateur astronomer and have been observing the sky for many years. It was also observed by my wife.

bright blue, high altitude, direction changing, speed changing light in the sky.

We observed a bright blue light moving slowly but apparently at high altitude. It came from the west then headed in a northeast direction. When it was overhead of us it just stopped and stayed in that position for about three minutes. At this time we grabbed a pair of binoculars but it still looked just like a very bright blue spot. Also, it wasn't always a constant light. It would pulsate, sometimes very brightly. When it started moving again, it was moving fast and due south until we lost sight of it.

((name #1 deleted)): my uncle was yelling about something so i had went out side to see what it was, but i thought he was playing around due to april fools day. no he wasnt playing. it was a weird flashing blue light that went from one point to another really fast. faster then a plane or satelight. then it stoped right above our house and was just floting there flashing a really pretty blue then in a sec it was gone.

Thought it was a satellite moving across the sky until it went straight out of the sky till we could not see it anymore.

5-10 minutes before a meteor shower we thought we saw a satellite moving across the sky about half way/straight up, it just shot straight out into the sky till we could not see the star/satellite anymore. it changed direction in an instant! we also noticed that when it moved past stars it seemed to diminish the stars light and as soon as it passed the stars were bright again. very weird.

strange silver object flying side to side and in circles

I was driving with my daughter when i noticed somthing silver in the sky.At first glance i thought it was a small plane becauce it was in a flight path .Then we noticed it was moving side to side and in circles.By the time i pulled into my driveway to grab my camers it as gone.It was strange becauce a few night priror i was driving to pick my son up around midnight and i saw a bright light in the sky almost the same exact spot.Thought it was a falling star.The two days after there was a strange cloud that didnt seem to move in that spot for two days.The day after me and my daughter saw the object the cloud was gone.

orange light floating!!

on my way home from my folks house i looked in the sky it looked like a fire ball or comet.. As i was at a red light I kept looking it was redish orangeish it was just floating there.. i called my dad and told him look outside there something out there,, he grab the binoculars and said it look like a triangle shape with orange lights on it it was just hovering there,,, not moving.. then it strated floating away no sound nothing .. weird!! no flashing nothing i dont think it was a plane.

One light hovered over kit carson park then it slowly rose up in a stationary position. A second light, of orange color, appeared above the first light then the second light disappeared. The first light vanished one minute later. Initially, the light was at 2500 ft climbing to 30000 ft in 5min.

3 objects were seen in formation cross in other with quick movements. After about 2 minutes of viewing, they just disappeared.

3 objects were spotted in the sky that seemed to behave in a weird manner. They were flying in formation but seemed to cross each other as they were moving forward. They were round, almost oval in shape. There was no sound. An airplane was in sight but going in the opposite direction. They were visible for about 2 minutes. The other strange thing is they did not just continue out of site, they just disappeared. I was playing golf at the time at Meadowlake golf club in escondido, ca. I was standing in the 10th fairway looking towards the green, the objects came out of the N/E direction and went in a N/W direction.They did not have any wings or tails like normal aircraft. I live close to Camp Pandelton and see formations of helicopters quite regularlly. These objects were moving about in their formation too quickly to be considered helicopters.This is my first witness any strange objects that I cannnot explain.

Object: "Kite-shaped", but shorter and wider than a typical kite-- approximately a 5 to 4 length to width ratio-- travelling toward what would be the "top" of the kite. The following diagram approximates the axes of the kite shape.

| -|---- (Direction of travel: <---) | At the "nose" there was one bright light flashing at about one-second intervals, along with two smaller, softer white lights, close together and slightly off-center to the left. There was one soft white light at each of the other three corners, not as bright as the strobe. No red and green port and starboard lights. As indicated in the diagram, the cross-axis defined by the "side" lights was no more than 20% of the total length back from the nose-- too far forward to be at the wingtips of large modern airplane designs. The lights made it difficult to see the shape clearly, but stars disappeared and reappeared behind it at the edges of the kite shape-- i.e. not as would occur with wings and a fuselage.

Size: Visually equivalent to a Boeing 757 at 2,000 to 2,500 feet altitude. That is also our best night-time naked-eye estimate of its maximum altitude.

Sound: A loud, fairly high warbling whine, from a single sound source. No jet exhaust roar, definitely not a piston engine. Also, there was no interference "beat" or other indication of multiple engines/sound sources. (I'm a musician, and am used to using wave interference to tune instruments, and used to distinguishing between single or multiple voicings of a given sound.) Speed: The object took about 20 seconds to go from directly overhead to disappearing beyond trees and a ridgeline two or three hundred feet high and a quarter mile away. Estimated distance traveled while in sight no more than one mile. The other witness is an ex-pilot, multiple-engine rated. Her first comment was that it must be "in trouble", because the sound was all wrong and it was at or below what would be stall speed for an airplane that size.

Direction of travel: Northeast, with Polaris in sight for visual reference, observed from a house and walkway oriented within one or two degrees of true north-south. The sky was clear except for some high "mackerel" (cirrus?) clouds off to the south, with a three-quarter moon.

Location: Del Dios community on Lake Hodges, approximately 4.5 miles southwest of the town center of Escondido, California.

(Note: An ex-air force friend, told about a similar sighting in February of 2004, said "it's one of ours" but would not go into any further details.)

6 horizontal lights appear to be large craft hovering over Leucadia California.

After taking sunset photos from a hill-top in Escondido, CA, (With a view over the city lights, looking west, towards the ocean) A string of 6 horizontal lights appeared suddenly along the coastline, approximately 10 miles away & approximately 1300Ft. I could not see what the lights were attached to. I would guess the craft was about 200 yards wide from my vantagepoint.

The 6 orbs seemed to rotate through colors from left to right, shimmering.

They remained in formation, stationary, and (one to another) for 5min. 13sec.

Until they vanished out of sight, as quickly as they had appeared.

The lights never changed their position in the sky, to each other or the area.

I have taken thousands of photos, with the same camera, from the same hill, for over 5 years, and have never seen anything like it before. I have lived in North County more than 31 years and have never seen Camp Pendleton (Marine Corps Base) produce any similar visual displays while commencing military exercises. I also grew up next to Oceanside Airport, in addition to spending many hours at Miramar Top Gun School watching all the various types of planes. So I know what different craft look like in the night sky. In my opinion, these 6 lights are not ours!

We do not know what the lights are, although we believe that military flares may be a possibility. was driving north on US 15 from poway during late rush hour noticed a group of small objects entering field of vision from the left at a distance of about 500 yards.

objects flew in v-shaped formation and lead object was 2 or 3 times the size of the smaller objects ruled out birds becuase they were traveling faster than the cars and they moved with precision across my field of view perpendicular to the highway, maintined tight formation, did not appear to flap wings, and were of two different sizes. Unlike mother and baby birds though because they were all traveling in tight fromation and at the same speed, which appeared faster than any baby birds would seem capable of.

Altitude was low, probably less than 500 feet Lead object must have been about 6-10 feet nose to tail and was oblong shaped. formation flew out of line of vision into a canyon

Me and my friends just got home from shopping for a birthday present, upon exiting the vehicle, one of my friends looked up and pointed out to the rest of us what appeared to be an illuminated orange construction cone flying toward us. We watched for about 3 minutes , then it started dropping what looked like burning cinders from the bottom that seemed to burn out before touching the ground. Then the object changed directions, moving away from us. we watched for another few minutes and it seemed to burn itself out, but would keep re-lighting itself. we watched it as far as we could before we could no longer see it.

IT APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE AND TOOK OFF AT INCREDIBLE SPEED!

In the early morning of April 22nd, at 3:55 A.M. I stepped outside to light a cigarette. I looked up because I usually do as I have witnessed sights in the past many years ago and it is just habit now. Just as I looked directly up, facing the southeast, I noticed a white, star-like object appear out of nowhere. It glowed unlike a star and then went out. I continued to stare at that area in the sky and the light appeared again. It stayed like that a few seconds, went out again and came on again about 3 seconds later. To my absolute amazement, it began to move north slowly. It moved approximately the width of a face of a quarter, at arms length. Then all of a sudden it took off at the most incredible speed I've ever seen! It left a hazy bluish, white trail for an instant and disappeared. This was the second sighting I saw that week. On April 18th at around 9:30 P.M. I saw a stationery red light from the same spot I witnessed the previos sighting. However I was facing due West. The light appeared out of nowhere, went out for about 10 seconds, appeared again and went out. This was not a plane because this light did not move. I reported it to MUFON a few days later only to find out that there were 2 other witnesses to a day time sighting in that same location. The witnesses were pilots on the ground. It hovered over the police station. Needless to say this has freaked me out quite a bit. Had I been a couple of seconds earlier or later I would not have seen these UFO's.

Second sighting of a craft near Escondido, CA the night of 7/23/01

I came across your report of a "triangle" sighted in southern California via a link on the site "www.rense.com". I am reporting a different shape, but in such a close time-frame and geographic location that it tends to make me think we probably saw the same craft, about a half hour later.

Date: July 23, 2001 Location: Del Dios, just southwest of Escondido, CA, on Lake Hodges.

Weather: Clear, starry sky.

At about 10:40 PM (22:40), we (two of us) were alarmed by a loud, relatively high-pitched whine overhead outside of our house-- apparently an aircraft, on a descending path from the west. The impression of "descent"-- increasing volume, i.e. sound from an incoming source-- was fast enough for my friend, who is an experienced pilot, to say that it sounded like it was in trouble.

I went outside and spotted the craft to the north-northwest of us, at an apparent altitude of about four thousand feet, about 1/3 mile to the north of us, moving almost due east. The whine of the engine had stabilized, and the craft was cruising slowly to the east. My friend put shoes on and came out too. What was visible were four blinking red and four continuous white lights in a kite-shaped pattern (I chose "diamond" <> shape out of your menu choices, but it had a shorter point to the front than to the back). The craft filled the pattern of the lights-- that is, it was not an airplane body with wings sticking out. Stars were blocked out (and reappeared) as they crossed the "line" from one pair of red & white of lights to another.

The span "across" was at least comparable to the wingspan of a 737, with the length about one and a half times what would be expected. My impression is that it was more like 1-1/2 times that size, but size and distance are tricky to estimate at night. The craft was moving distinctly slower than a 737 on final approach, however-- i.e. at what should have been well below "stall speed" for any plane of its size.

It was in sight for about a minute and a half, in level or close to level flight, going almost due east, before it disappeared behind trees and a low ridge northeast of us. That path would take it over the city of Escondido perhaps a mile north of the central downtown area. It traversed one and a half to two miles of sky while it as visible, so its apparent speed was about 60 or 70 miles an hour.

The sound it made was like the whine of a turbine, with a "beat" in it on about a one to two second interval. The beat was not, however, like the beat caused by wave interference from two or more sound sources slightly out of phase. (I'm a musician, with a decent knowledge of physics.) I am reasonably sure the whine was from a single source, not multiple engines.

It made me especially curious because of the many reports of "triangles", whereas this was apparently kite-shaped.

I mentioned it to several friends the next day. One of them said they had been on the coast highway around ten, and had seen something out over the ocean that they couldn't identify, but didn't pull over to get a better look.

Object over North San Diego County with flashing colored lights for ove an hour.

While visiting my wifes parents home in Escondido after going to bed around 0200 I was laying facing out the sliding glass doors when I noticed what at first I though was an airplane however after watching it for a pireod of about 5 minutes I notice that it wasnt moving. It had what appeared to be lights alternating colors from red to yelow to white to blue and orange. My wife thought it was a helicopter or lights on a tower but I got my binoculars and it was way to high. We then thought ok its a star or something but as we watched it you can tell the stars were moving and this object was not. We woke up my wifes mom to verify that there was no tower with lights in that direction and we all watched it for over an hour. It was to far away to disearn a shape. We did call the Escondido PD. After about an hour or so the object shot up at about a 60 degree angle and dissapeared. We looked for it the next night but saw nothing...

My husband and I witnessed a bright reddish, gold light with no sound, change directions several times prior to disappearing.

My husband was in our backyard moving the sprinkler when he noticed a very bright light coming coming towards him from the west. Friday night was very dark, no moon light to speak of. The stars were very visible and unusually bright.The light was quite large and much brighter than any of the stars and was moving east over our backyard. He came in the house to get me. After we ran out front of our house the object which was moving in a straight line and had no audible sound had just come over the top of our house and was moving in an eastward direction. If I had to estimate the size, I would say it was about the size of a small pill held at arms length. An airplane came from the south going north (which we did hear) and crossed in front of the object. The airplane was about twice the size of the object. Once the plane was past the object and out of sight, there was no sound again. The object then seemed to come to a stop, then start to move to the south. It never appeared to turn, just change direction. It went for about 30-40 seconds south then change directions again and go back north. It appeared to stop again and start to go backwest over our house again. The object never appeared to turn, just slow down or stop then change direction. It also seemed to get brighter then dimmer then brighter again. In looking at it through binoculars it appeared to be reddish, gold color, not a flame, but have a sparkling energy moving it. My husband indicated that when he first saw the light in the backyard, he thought it might be a helicopter, however, as the object came closer, he saw a row of lights inside the brighter light. Not red and green, just moving lights in a row inside the brighter light. After watching the object for approx. 7 mins.changing direction approx. 5 times it seemed to hover for a couple of seconds then go up and out. I can't say it took off, it just turned off. It didn't die out, the bright light just went out, like someone turned off the light.

saw 3 flickering lights slowly fade out and disapear at seperate times, no sound and clear night.

Driving home my wife and I saw a orange colored light (looked a lot like a star) either very close together if not one light in the air, about as high as a helocopter would fly. Yet there was no sound. They broke or seperated into 3 lights. The two smaller lights seperated from the brightest light (to my wife they looked like they went in front of the brightest light and to me it looked like they were pieces that fell off the main light.) One of the dimmer lights stoped moving while the other two continued on moving. About 30 seconds apart the two dimmer lights slowly faded out and disappered. Then aproxemietly 3 min later the brightest light slowly flickerd out and disappeared. We don't know the extent of the entire time of the event.

approx 22:21 saw a bright light hovering just east of my front driveway. No noise. The brightness would intensify then subsided then intensify again. Then I would see bright particiles releasing and falling to earth in a straight line. As this ball of light slowly moved toward me. Another one appeared from the east again moving at a faster rate. The 2nd one I noticed approx 22:24. The 2nd one stopped. The light will would intensify and then subside like the first one and release light participles as well. Both move westernly. The first one disappeared and the 2nd one changed course and move easternly. Approx 22:28 a police car passed by my house as I was still observing the 2nd ball of light. It appeared that he was looking up in the sky in the same direction as I was but not sure if the officer saw it. Police car kept driving and turned into another street.

A large circular orange light which moved to the north, then south, north again the up until it dissapeared.

My name is ((name deleted)). On the early morning of 07/18/99 at about 4:10am I was on a dark rural road very near my home when I noticed a lighted object from my drivers side window (See house.jpg). My first thought was that someone was launching a hot air balloon from the back of a house. The object I saw was clearly very near to the ground because I could easily see the outline or black silhouette of the roof of the house in front of the object. The weather was warm and visibility was good. There was overcast and you could not see any stars nor the moon. I was heading North East on a street called North Iris Lane when I noticed this well lit orange circle of light from behind a house which was no more than 300 yards away from my vantage point. Again, my first thought was a hot air balloon and the glow from someone filling it with hot air. I kept looking out my drivers side window but as I drove I lost sight of the object as my sight was now obscured by homes and trees to my left. When I reached the stop sign about 150 yards from where I first noticed the object, I made a left turn and saw that the object was no longer at ground level but now was clearly in the sky and heading in a North West direction. I never leave the house without my digital camera and when I turned the corner I stopped my car and grabbed it. The camera I used was an Olympus D-400 Digital Zoom camera. It took a few seconds to open the lens cover, when I looked through the viewfinder I feared that the light from the street lamp in front of me would not allow for a good shot. I therefore waited till the object was just above the lamp post and took a picture (see pic1.jpg). I waited all of an additional 3 seconds and took another picture pointing in the same direction (see pic2.jpg). The object I saw was not bright, the best way to describe it was if you've seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the blue light that followed the space ships except that this light was a dull orange in color instead of blue. After I took two pictures I s! aw the object stop moving up and to the North and changed directions to up and South. It stopped about 3 seconds later then started to head back North and to the West. About 3 seconds later the object just starting heading straight up at a consistent rate of speed. Rather than just stand there I got back in truck made a right turn into our town home complex and stopped my car in front of my house. When I got out I could still see the object still heading up and getting farther away. I went inside grabbed my wife out of bed and insisted she come outside NOW! When we got outside I pointed to the sky and said "look do you see that?" she said yes and asked what it was. At this point it looked like a very bright star and was very far away. We both stood there for the next 5 to 10 seconds and watched as it passed through the overcast. It got smaller and smaller when finally we could no longer see it. We both looked around and you could not see any stars in the sky. I pulled my car into my driveway and immediately called the Escondido Police Department. The woman who answered the phone listened , chuckled and told me to call an 800 number. When I did, I got a recording for the TV show "Unsolved Mystery's". I called her back, gave her a sarcastic thanks and asked her to take my name and number in the event anyone else reported anything. I went out this morning during daylight and took a couple of pictures from the road where I first saw the object behind a house (house.jpg). Using PhotoShop I made a orange circle which represents the size and color of what I first thought was a hot air balloon (house-ufo.jpg). I also took a couple of pictures of where the object was just above the lamp post on the street adjacent to my home (see pic1-day.jpg). Again using PhotoShop I made a circle to show you the size and color of the object prior to it moving South, then NW and up (pic1-day-ufo.jpg). On a side note my wife had mentioned that our neighbor had approached her only 2 or 3 days before and asked her if she had seen anything strange in the skies. I have given our neighbor your number and she said she would call you as apparently she claims to have seen a UFO as well. My apologies for such a long winded description but I get excited every time I think about what I saw. I am very open minded and would be stupid to think that we are alone in the universe. However I have never really believed in us being visited by something outside of our planet. In other words I was a true skeptic until last night. I have gone over the encounter many times in my head and cannot find any reasonable explanation for what I saw. Now man made object that I'm aware of could do what I saw this thing do. In the event you are wondering let me answer a few questions that others have asked me. There was no sound at all. This orange circle was consistent in color and did not change. There were no other colors present and there was no blinking. It was not a blinding bright but rather a dull fiery orange. I saw no background objects (no spaceships or anything like that) I do not do drugs. Thanks for allowing me to share this incident. I do not care what others think since I know what I saw and that is all that matters to me. I glanced up and saw a small white oval traveling very rapidly across the sky. I ran outside to get a better look as I had been looking through a window, but the UFO was gone.

I was in an art class at about 9:00 in the morning. I was working and I glanced up in conversation. Through the window (a large window with black plastic divisions) I saw what I at first thought was a momentary flash in my field of vision but it remained in my view and I saw something of a very thin white oval, almost a line of white, streaking very quickly across the sky. It was very small, I could have covered it with the tip of my fingernail. It was out of view within a second. I ran outside to get a better look at it but it had disappeared.

Neon orange dougnut shaped craft drops blue balls of lights

This occured in 1998 and again in 1999. I was about to leave my girlfriends house, when I noticed what appeared to be a neon orange doughnut slowly approaching from the south. This object looked like a doughnut, round with a black center and made no noise at first. As it got closer, it dropped a small blue ball of light that fell approx. 30-40 feet then went out. It did this four times by the time it was overhead. By now I had become quite excited (my girlfriend was crying like a wuss) and produced my lighter and began to flash it at the object which looked like it was less than 1000 ft above us. After flashing my lighter a bunch of times, this thing stops. it didn't slow to a stop, it just stopped. I stopped flashing my lighter and waited for something to happen. It dropped another blue light, so I flashed my lighter again. When I flashed my lighter at it, it moved pretty damn fast to the left and then to the right, then changed it's shape to a thin horizontal line and with a bang just like a car backfire, it shot away at an amazing speed and left a small cloud of white smoke that faded as fast as it appeared. The bang that was heard woke my girl's dad up. We told him what we saw and what it did. He told us we probably saw a military aircraft that was dropping flares. What a crock of you know what! I am very military oriented, and I know that was no damn plane or jet we saw. I also saw this same craft with ny mother about a year later. Did the same thing (dropped blue balls of light) but this time it was cloudy and it made a sharp angled left turn into a cloud before anyone else got to see it. If anyone else has seen a this craft or one like it, please report it! I would like to hear if anyone else has seen this!!

Saw a blue shaped oblong (cigar shaped) object which was stationary at first and then acclerated at an incredible speed and disappeared. It was during the middle of the day. I saw this object as well as my father.

I was travelling in a pick-up truck west bound towards Escondido, California with my father in the spring of 1991. We were going to install a motion light for my step-grandmother. We were stopped at an intersection stop light. An oblong bright blue (cigar shaped) object had appeared in the sky from what seemed out of nowhere. It was stationary in the sky for perhaps less than a second and then accelerated and disappeared again it what seemed a split second. When I saw the object appear in the sky, my first reaction was to point at it and comment on it to my father (he is a law enforcement officer) But before I could even say a word the object had disappeared. Both of us remained speechless. After a minute or two I asked him if he had seen the object and what he thought it was. We were both astonished and speechless which perhaps explains the initial silence. We had both commented on the bizaar sight and suggested that it had been an UFO. I was quite suprised by my father's suggestion and acknowlegdement that it may have been an UFO. We have never spoken a word to one another about it since that day. It just seems too awkward. What we experienced was very unique. I am now 22 years old. Born in 1975. I am a college student considered intelligent ( to most). I am neither a believer or a disbeliever of UFO's, but I am open-minded to the possibility.
