About 5:35 AM (dawn breaking) look up at moon. Bright, stationary planet about 4 moon diameters to east of moon. Brightness about -3. Wonder what planet it is, and watch as it gradually dims & vanishes. Think maybe sun rose enough in 2 minutes to make it too bright to see, but that's crazy. Come back in & look at star chart program - no planets around the moon this AM. Satellite? No.. Stationary

Silent, triangle shaped craft, white light tipped, slowly moving over Easy Bay Area hills

Top of Scenic Drive, Orinda, CA; 37.874040 Latitude, -122.170731 Longitude Saw a bright, white light in the sky. At first thought it was a bright star. However, having grown up my entire life (over 30 years) in the area, I knew it couldn't be a plane, and it wasn't a helicopter because I didn't see or hear any rotor-blades. I stopped my car, turned off the engine, and rolled down the window and looked out. I heard no noise as the craft slowly passed overhead going roughly southeast - it was low enough at this point to know for sure that there was no engine/rotor noise. It was roughly 300-400 feet above, and its speed was a slow 15 mph or so. It was a black triangle, with bright white lights on each of the three tips. I could definitely see the shape of the black craft against the dark, night sky. There were two thin white light lines parallel to one another and close together, in the center of the craft pointing in the direction it was moving. It was around 25 feet wide or so. Again, no noise at all. There was also a red light behind it that was bl! inking very fast at times as well. I didn't know what to think about it at first, so I rolled up the window, started the car and went on driving. After about 15 seconds or so, I got a very nervous feeling that maybe this was something that could not easily be explained. Since it wasn't a plane, helicopter, or anything with an engine, the only other explanation would be a glider or a remote controlled vehicle, however this area of Orinda is one of the highest points, so a glider wouldn't be a practical explanation. Also, anything remote controlled would presumably make some sort of noise, and at 20 - 30 feet from tip to tip, that would be a big remote flying machine.

I attended a company Christmas party on 12-13-08 in Dublin California. On the way home to my residence in El Sobrante @ approximately 1120pm my wife and I witnessed a luminous flash of blue light mixed with reddish crystal like sparks. There was absolutely no sound, however we did have our car stereo playing but the volume was low enough to hear any significant sound impact.

This encounter is somewhat hard to explain because I have never seen anything like it, not even in movies. It lasted only 2 seconds as we were driving. My wife was driving, the incident occurred to the left side of the road somewhere between Orinda and El Sobrante, on Camino Pablo Rd.. In this area there is nothing but a single two way road with a bunch of trees that spreads for many acres of land. To the right is a lake/reservoir. If you google "San Pablo Reservoir," and click on images, this will give you clue as to the area we encountered this strange luminous lighting.

As we compared notes, my wife seen the same pattern of light as I did, However, she also seen that it came straight down, into the hills. It wasn’t like a flash in the sky, it was almost like fireworks with the flames descending. The distance from our vehicle to the sighting was roughly 300 feet. We ruled out the possibility of fireworks because if it were fireworks we would have heard them. With the amount of light produced, if it were fireworks I would have heard it with my stereo all the way up. Finally, this may have been some weird weather phenomenon, however I have been living in this area for 19 years, I have never seen anything like it. Everthing was normal, senses in tact, time ok, just the vision of the encounter will remain in my head forever.

Hovering in distance while I was driving on freeway. Lights in solid row, then blinking in 1/3 sections, then "running" lights, then back to solid row. One single light above that stayed on constantly. Took off to the East after a couple of minutes.

a fireball that moved very quickly in a straight line across the night sky

A large fireball flew across the sky from the Southeast to the Northwest, remarkably large and very bright, going what seemed like 1,000 MPH. It left a trail several times wider than that of a jet.

The night sky was crystal clear, hundreds of stars were visable.

Cigar-shaped UFO, silver, non-descript moving North/Northeast in East Bay Hills of Contra Costa County, CA

One cigar shaped, metallic object, moving North East. Not shiny, but silver. At first thought it might be a plane, but saw no wings or tail. Non-descript, meaning, no detail seen. Couldn't tell if it was far away, or close. Just moving in the direction North, North-east until the hills blocked the view.

I am a recording engineer who works in Berkeley and was driving on 24 West, approaching the Caldecott tunnel..traffic was slow, and I had time to look out my window. At first I saw this object and thought to myself, "Oh, maybe that's a blimp, or a weather balloon, but then realized it was not that at all."

Circular object with v-shaped notch, hovering in daylight

The object was hovering over the Orinda BART station, much like a hawk using thermals to stay aloft. It was round and flat with a v-shaped notch at one point on the circumference. The bottom was black and the top (which was exposed as it turned slowly like a plate balanced on a stick) reflected the sun with a bright metallic sheen. As I watched, it slowly moved higher and farther away towards the southeast. It seemed to be no more than 1 or 2 feet in diameter.

Dear Mr. Davenport:

I'm sorry to say that I'm the only witness I'm aware of. I was watching the object from the side of Camino Pablo (the road which runs under the BART station) about 1500 feet from the station. While I gave some thought to stopping a car driving by and asking them to take a look, I did not do so, since they were going about 45 mph. Unfortunately, at 11 AM there aren't many people waiting on the BART platform, and I think that the overhang might have shielded them from seeing the object.

Next time (assuming it isn't 48 more years until I see one again) I will definitely bring my digital camera !

IT was 6/14/02, I had just woken up from a nasty dream about scary stuff, and I notice these three glowing things in the sky. I discard the as just three shooting stars, but then I notice they zipped around in an odd way somewhat like this: left,right,down,right,up,left,up,right. I looked up and I saw them morph from a cigar shape to a firey sort of color with little electric glowing thing that looked to me like plasma surrounding it. I was about to get my camera, but they zipped away right before I could snap a picture. You people are the first people I've told about my incindent.Thank you for reading my story.

My house was on the golf course i became very uneasy and had butterflys in my stomache I picked up a firearm before the sighting a sudden storm with the kind of rain i have expirenced in the tropics came on the lights in my dimmed there were different colored lights leaving the craft..the next morning i called the power company and asked the cause of my lighting going down to 30% of normal i was informed some lines went down a ridiculous answer if our lines were down how was i recieving electricity. my house began to viabrate causing myself and my guest extreme dis comfort i am a business man with finacing from several local banks and had i spoken or reported it i feared my credibilty would be harmed i have never reported this incident before..i had 18 months of almost daily combat which did not bother me at all. this event completly changed my beliefs
