Large orange glowing object ascends high, changes color, splits into two spheres one remains stationary other floats away, then vanish.

I had just got home and was in the process of getting some food for my dog when i noticed this glowing orange light moving across the night sky. There were no clouds, and the stars were out in number, very crisp and clear night. It seemed rather low, this light, and at the speed it was travelling I took it for a helicopter with a search light on, which is nonsense, there was no beam of light as a search light would give off, they are not orange, but that was my first thought. I expected to see some kind of outline of a helicopter and waited for some noise, but nothing was presented. Total silence, which is what really made me take pause. The sphere then ascended, its movement more like floating rather than something propelled. As it rose, it seemed to lengthen out, the orange ball became more stretched out into a ovular shape. At this point, it stopped moving for about ten seconds then the orange light went out from the front to the back and was replaced with a fuzzy whitish blue. It popped, or split in half, the orange light returned for the front with a kind of fuzz or blur with it, and remained still, while the other light, the back part, took off away from where it had been blinking and white. This continued for a few seconds, and it seemed almost at times like I was watching an optical illusion, as if they would look like they were coming towards me then they were right back where they were, simmering and elastic, then they both completely disappeared. That’s it, I didn’t just come from the bar, and im not on any drugs, just a random crazy thing that left me quite perplexed and man, its movement was so fluid and graceful, really something else. Strangely beautiful.

Me and my family were traveling south on the freeway on our way home. It was evening time and we were looking to the sky and I happened to see a bright light it look to be oval/round in shape and very bright. It started to move slowly and no noise than I saw it shout straight up and than in a L formation within seconds and than was gone I didn't say anything and than my wife and daughter said at the same time did you see that object. We all talked about it and saw the same thing. We know for a fact it wasn't a star, plane or drone it moved so fast and with a second in each direction.

On February 5th, at 11:02 p.m., I was walking home and noticed a large yellowish/orange light behind the trees along the sidewalk. At first, I thought it was a new street light but then realized it was in the sky.

It was traveling diagonally and seemed to be moving slowly.

I started to record a video on my phone as it maintained its trajectory. I thought it must be a drone, so I stopped recording. As soon as I did, it then split into 3 lights that were lined up horizontally for a second. There was the original large orangish color light, a small blue light and a white blinking light.

The blue light then disappeared and the blinking light followed further behind the larger light at the same trajectory. I started to record again after it split but not for too long. I got freaked out and ran home!

I also noticed a noise that is hard to describe. It was almost like a low pitched hum.

What the witness observed in Nipomo, CA, was an unarmed Minuteman III missile launched from VAFB. It was launched at 11:01 pm. The flashing light seen following was the tumbling first stage.

A friend took this picture which shows the main missile and the booster behind. This picture was taken from Shell Beach, CA, and would have been visible from San Luis Obispo, CA, as well.

It was an orange fireball looking thing that started off very bright and dimmed as it moved a crossed (sic. across) the sky until it was no longer visible.

classic disc and dome shape with horizontal slits with unexplainable lights - Nipomo U.S. 101 S. 10:10 p.m. on 4/17/10.

I was driving south on U.S. 101 near Nipomo. The time was 10:10 p.m. It was very near the Thompson Road exit. After going up a hill, my car's headlights shone on what looked like a "classic" disc shape with a dome on it. It had horizontal slits on it that had some kind of lighting that can't be explained - somewhat similar to a cat's eyes when you shine a flashlight on them. The object filled up the windshield view area.

When the car's lights lit up the shape, it flashed and then disappeared immediately.

This lasted only a few seconds, but it seemed like a long time. Immediately I became very frightened. I drove quickly to get home.

There were several other cars behind me that had to have seen it, as well.

A very big white light traveling very fast for 2 minutes then disappearing into thin air.

I looked up in the sky after going out side of my house to smoke a cigarette, and approx. 25 seconds later I looked up in the sky, and I saw a bright light in the sky. I could judge the speed of the light to be going at or faster than 50000 miles an hour because when you see a satellite in the sky it is usually a small light traveling at a nice steady speed and it will travel around the earth’s atmosphere.

The reason this light was so different was, it was about 10 times the size of a satellite light, and this light was a steady light it did not blink, it did not change color, it was just a big white light. Now the other reason it was so different that any light I have seen in my life was it was very far away and it was traveling away from or solar system. I saw the light for about 2 minutes the light did not get any smaller or bigger as I was looking at it, which was weird to cause after 2 minutes the light just vanished. Like it was traveling though a port hole or something, and when I saw the light it was just ripping through space at very high speeds it came in one side of the port hole then when it vanished it disappeared though the other side of the port hole. And when I say port hole you could refer it to ripping a hole in space time continuum, or it could be a worm hole, in one side out the other.

Unknown fiery object off coast in Nipomo, CA

I was standing outside looking at the stars, smoking a cigarette and looking west toward the coast. I saw a light and it moved to the north wildly. I thought it was a plane or some small flare, something normal..

I stood there after finishing my cig and told my friend to come out and see if they saw the same thing... She saw it, but told me she had seen it before... But, this was about 700ft in the air, 5 miles from my sight, and it was moving sparatically inside the atmosphere...

Hopefully someone else saw this thing. I have seen quite a few falling stars, the space shuttle, etc. My friend still thinks it's a star or a planet.....

2 witnesses see a yellow light fly across the sky from Nipomo, CA at 1 in the morning on 08/13/2008.

Me and my buddy were hanging out in the mountains in Nipomo, there is only 1 or 2 homes around us but other than that the area is pretty isolated from civilization making it one of our favorite spots to relax. It was around 1 o'clock in the morning, we were cooking hot dogs over a fire pit and enjoying ourselves. I noticed a bright, yellow, disk shaped light flying through the night sky, it was about 10 or 20 miles away and about 10,000 to 25,000 feet high. As soon as i saw it i told my friend "Look" and i pointed towards the night sky. We observed this thing fly through the air, it didn't turn or make any erratic maneuvers, it maintained a straight trajectory.

When we first saw it it didn't make any noise, it went straight and seemingly changed to a blue color or emitted a bright blue light and soon after that happened it dropped an object. So there is this bright yellow light flying across the dark horizon and there is a blinking smaller yellow light under it thats falling towards the earth. By this time the object was emitting a sound similar to maybe a sonic boom or a passenger jet flying overhead. The object continued to fly across the horizon while the smaller blinking object continued to lose altitude, the objects grew farther and farther apart. The loud, jet engine like sound we heard faded away and the smaller blinking object kind of faded away in some fog that was very far from our location. The original, larger light kept flying until it became to faint to see.

It was pretty foggy that night, we saw everything happen after the fog cleared up around us but the objects seemed to disappear into the foggy night that surrounded the city of Nipomo, it left a smoke trail behind it. Please keep in mind that it was extremely hard to determine how high and how far this object was. It seemed like it was almost flying above Nipomo but I'm not positive about that. I'm pretty skeptical that this object is a UFO. I think this object is man made, perhaps a rocket of some kind going in to space, or maybe a satellite reentering earths atmosphere. I don't know what it is but it scared the hell out of us. An explanation would be great.

As I was driving in a northerly direction on Hwy. 101 from my home in Santa Maria, CA (about 8:30 pm on Sunday, May 30, 2004), and just before I reached Nipomo, CA, I spotted what appeared to be a red fireball with an extended tail, high in the sky. It continued going in the same direction as I was, becoming smaller and smaller until it became a small white light just before it disappeared, which was about the same time that I reached the city of Arroyo Grande. The sky was quite clear, so it was easy to see.

I had at first theorized that it could be a plane on fire, but it never came down. Then I thought perhaps it was a meteor or "shooting star" - but it was still daylight, there were no stars yet visable, and it never "disappeared" as shooting stars do. Then I thought of a missile from Vandenburgh A.F.B., but realized that they are usually shot off in a westerly direction (in case they fail, they will dump in the ocean and not hit cities, homes, etc.). I still wonder if it was a missile shot off at an earlier date, that just happened to be low enough for me to see now.

I have asked our airport tower - they have no answer. I asked our college - noone knows there either. I called my local TV station. I don't know who else to ask. Can someone explain this to me? I would love to know what it was!

we saw a flashing light that just disappeared

The time was around 11:15 to 11:35 p.m. My cousin(27) and I(14) were specifically looking to the west for u.f.o.'s due to an interest from t.v. My cousin pointed out a flashing or beeping light close to the star Polaris. After about 10 seconds i too saw the the light. My reaction to this was that it was just an airplane, but the "craft" moved far to slow and didn't flash like an airplane. It was a white light, and it looked just like any other star. The size of it was about as large as a pin-head. The light would beep or flash very breifly every 6 seconds. It also moved in a downward diagonal motion about as far as half a thumb. Then it bagan to move left when suddenly 2 blinking lights came out of one for only one breif flash. Then the light moved about 2 and a half thumb lengths to the left, blinking in between each movement until the blinking just stopped and we never saw it after that, not a faint light, nothing, it just disappeared.

Daylight sphere/orb follows above conventional aircraft

I was outside my house a few minutes ago and looking up into the sky to see what the cloudcover was for the day, when my eyes caught sight of a very normal appearing aircraft of some type (unsure as to whether it was commercial or military) traveling at a normal speed from due north to south. I wouldn't have even given this aircraft a second look had it not been for what I saw ABOVE it. I witnessed a definite orb/sphere shape above this aircraft. The orb/sphere looked to be somewhere on the lines of about 500 or less feet above the conventional aircraft and was flying in PERFECT unison with the "normal" craft. As both crafts moved overhead I was able to see the glint of the sun off of them at one point, and this is how I could best relate to the shape of the orb/sphere. I am not a pilot or in-the-know about flight altitudes; however, I estimate that the conventional craft was at about an altitude of 20,000-25,000 feet and, as mentioned, the orb/sphere was about 500 or so feet above the conventional aircraft. I have never seen two planes fly so closely above one another and in perfect unison unless, of course, I was watching an air show. Also, as mentioned I could distinctly see that the uppermost craft was of an orb/sphere shape. This event occurred at 10:38 a.m. (Pacific) time. Once that I observed the spherical nature of the uppermost craft, I immediately ran back inside to get my camera. I did take a photo of the crafts as they travelled away from me, but by the time that I got back outside with my camera (about 20-25 seconds later), they were both a considerable distance away. If the photo turns-out I will most assuredly send it to you. The day was clear with sparse clouds. This was a daylight sighting. Note: There is a military base (Vandenberg) about 20 miles from me.

Red "glow" seen in clear night sky

I have twice reported, on previous occasions, strange sightings I have personally witnessed. I am a bit hesitant to keep reporting things for fear that I may be taken as one who "jumps to conclusions." I have seen several strange phenomena since my last formal report, but as mentioned above, I have been leary to report them yet again. This all being said, I was scanning through the data base for this month to see if anyone witnessed a similar event to what my husband and I both saw when I came upon several reports from the same day that sounded too intriguing. I feel that I must now break my silence and report what I saw... March 30th, approximately 1030 p.m... TOWN/AREA PROFILE: I live approximately 4-5 miles southeast of the Pacific ocean in a small town. Our town is relatively unpopulated in some areas, including where I walk my dog at night. There are no overly bright lights on our street, the houses around our development or within the surrounding area. I have never noticed any red outdoor lighting before. WEATHER CONDITIONS: We can usually see the entire night sky (stars, etc.) unless their is fog. There was no fog this night. It was about 50 degrees out. REPORT: I had just leashed-up my dog and headed out our back door to take her for her nightly walk around the neighborhood when I noticed a very strange "glow" of red in the night sky. This "glow" was pure red and looked somewhat like what was described in the movie "A Fire in the Sky." I know that sounds silly, but the glow spanned for quite a distance on the horizon. Its strength and color intrigued me. It appeared to move somewhat, but was mainly stationary. There were many dogs howling/barking within the neighborhood at the time. The "glow" lasted an unspecifed length of time. I know that it was there at least through when my husband got back from walking the dog. -I decided not to walk the dog after I saw the glow! I repeat..this was NOT caused by any outdoor lighting and there was NO fog that a light could cast a reflective quality upon. WITNESS DATA: My husband and I both witnessed the phenomenon. He is usually not "spooked" by anything; even he, though, said that he thought that the event was weird and that the dogs barking in the area was strange. We are both college-educated professionals. I am 29 and my husband is 30.

A major coronal mass ejection from the Sun was predicted to strike the earth's magnetic field on this date. NUFORC received reports from Utah, Oregon, California, Texas, and New Mexico on the same night. Everyone reported a peculiar red glow. We suspect the witness describes the same phenomenon, which we believe was an unusual aurora. It was unusual, in that it was red, and unusual in that it was seen at latitudes that are much farther south than where the aurora traditionally is seen from. PD

My roomate and I were out early mending a horse fence in a very rural area, very dark and quiet. We were the only witnesses as far as we know to see three small bright lights and one huge "mother ship" object--we knew what we were seeing was not normal, and it kept us in awe for it's entirety.

On a very clear, dark night, while mending a horse fence, my roomate and I had our attention actually taken off our job at hand, as we both focused on and witnessed the same event together as a pair, but individually as spectators. It was quite apparent that these bright, round, lights hovering in the southeast on the horizon (we were looking North) were different from anything we had ever seen before, and we immediately knew what we were watching was paranormal. Three bright, non-flashing, hovering lights that stayed in a tight formation non-moving for approx 5 minutes, which then took off in a tight formation at a high rate of speed in one direction, and then another, always staying together in a tight unit. Then after approx 10 minutes had passed, they zipped along VERY fast as if "done" with their task, in a straight line to the West, and Many miles across the horizon, shrouded in what looked like fog, they actually met up with a HUGE sphere-shaped object which we only noticed upon their arrival to it, because it seemed to turn on "headlights" in order to travel onward into the West. This HUGE object seemed to "take in" the three bright objects immediately, and started moving at a slower, more lumbered speed and was so big and had so many spot type lights, that it lit up the fog enshrouding it in such a large area around it, that you could tell approximately how large it was, and how slow it moved compared to these tiny lights. I will never forget it.
