Around 330am a bright flash of light lit up the night sky in the west san fernando valley followed by what appeared to be an even brighter flash then the same duller flash and immediately after all street lights shut off briefly then proceeded to blink red. Several areas went completely dark and even several buisness power completely shut down momentarily then came back on. Also, mobile phones weren't functioning properly following flash of light.

It all started when I received a call from my vrother and my little princess was asleep so i went outside to answer the call. A few steps out the door and I do my normal routine, that is is to look up into the night sky.. and when doing so i see a bright light start off very bright, brighter then your normal airplane nights. It started from lower part of the sky and went on up towards the upper right sky it continued on up and it became smaller and smaller till it reached as if it got as high as a star.. then no more then 3 sec. later, a airplane passed by at a way lower altitude.. trusty me I've seen plenty during the night..and I'm aware of airplanes, drones, balloons with lights, satellites.

My son and I were playing catch in the backyard when my 8 year old son said " look what is that in the air".

At first, I thought it was a piece of thrash flying around, but after a long look it was something flying under some kind of control. Then I thought it might've been a drone because of the small size. But after seeing it keep on going in a straight line I had other opinions. Drones hover. This thing flew straight and fast and we finally lost sight of it,once it went into the rain clouds. Soon after we started to hear jet aircraft noise but we could not see any aircraft. It was not cylindrical but had an arrow like head with a tail like extension. I have never seen anything like it. We are still wondering about it a few hours afterwards.

Insanely bright, large circle and electrical warping noises in the San Fernando Valley around 3:21 AM.

May 17th, 2015, around 3:20 A.M.

My friends and I were sitting on Stoney Point just talking and staring off in the distance of SFV, about 25 yards away, the brightest circle of light (bluish white) I had ever seen about the size of an SUV flashed (less than half a second) in the air where we were staring.

After the flash, about a second later, an odd loud electric warping sound occurred.

Never have I heard anything like it or seen anything so bright. The circle of light was the only thing visible and all surroundings were black. Most historical moment in my teenage life so far and may be most historical event in my life when I’m dead. In a more depth description, the circle of light was so bright, everything around it was pitch black and I couldn't see any city lights or surroundings in general. Directly after the light flashed, it was followed by a sound none of us could ever imagine hearing. It was this really loud, electrical current mixed with warping and a crazy zoom noise. Even my description is pretty bland. It's just to hard to explain well. You just had to be there. Two of us looked directly at the light and saw the circle and just pitch black. But one of our friends was looking up in the sky and said he had been blinded for a few seconds and only saw white. This was a once in a lifetime sighting for sure. All we keep asking ourselves is; why us? Why did we happen to be there at 3:00 AM and see this? How come there were no cars or people outside in site? Just why us? Such a memorable sight, scary, and confusing as well. I cant really convince people of my sighting because many have the right not to believe me, but in all honesty, this was the most spectacular sighting in my life.

Spotted it driving West on the 134 Glendale. Was seen from the L.A. River, Glendale to the Olive Ave. exiting the 5 North, Burbank.

Was a flat circular object that seemed stationary. Possibly a metallic surface appeared to have light reflecting off from the setting sun. Aerial perspective had improved while traveling closer.

Glowing trail behind object, trail dies, becomes semi circle, disappears.

Was standing outside with my friend. He noticed the object in question first and said "Look!" I turned and we observed what appeared to be a comet or craft with a large trail behind it which was orange in color heading from east to west. After about 20 seconds, the trail abruptly stopped and we could only see the light of the presumed craft. It continued travel in the same direction. After about another 20 seconds, a large semi circle that was translucent and glowy, hues of green and yellow if I had to use a color to describe it, but it wasn't one distinct color. The craft was at the front, and it was as if there was a circle behind it, but only half.

After I'd say about another 30 seconds, the circle disappeared, and then a couple seconds later the light of the craft was gone as well. It was truly bizarre. My mother said she saw the same thing in Long beach, roughly 40 miles to the south east. We could hear what sounded like jet engines throughout most of our viewing of this phenomenon.

Extremely fast glowing object, flying very low to the ground, very close to us and very silent.

This time driving west on 118 towards Simi Valley just past the Topanga Blvd off ramp we witnessed what appeared to be a fire ball flying parallel to the 118 heading East at an incredible rate of speed, at least a mile every 3-5 seconds.

My wife and 6 year old were amazed as it flew towards and right by us. My six year old called a shooting star. My wife knew it was neither airplane nor helicopter it was so fast and silent.

We pulled over and watched it cross the entire valley towards the 405 interchange in a matter of seconds and vanish as it blended with the lights of the city. I saw an amber glow, my wife and son believed to have a more blue/white color. I am color blind and may have a different perception of color.

Simple math tells me this object was travelling at least 500 MPH maybe over a 1,000 MPH and no more than a 1,000 feet above the ground.

Large aircraft hovering very low over San Fernando with red,green and white lights then zoomed off to NW

At about 1:30 am August 27, 2011 my boyfriend and I were traveling west on the 210 freeway coming from Lake View Terrace going to Sylmar. I looked up to the south and saw a large aircraft hovering there at a very low altitude close to where the 5 freeway and the 118 freeway meet. It had red and green lights that encircled it so that we could make out the shape to be like a disc and in relation to the landscape it appeared to be much larger than any commercial airplane or helicopter. The lights flashed in a random pattern with an occasional couple of white lights flashing as well.

It seemed to stay stationary and then “jumped” around a few times within a close proximity of itself then began slowly flying north west increasing altitude as it went along. We were able to see it clearly the whole time and as we approached the McClay Street off ramp the craft accelerated to an incredible speed and within a few seconds was gone from view.

I was walking down Lankershim in north hollywood. I was not under the influence. My girlfriend and I were strolling along, and i caught 2 bright object out of the corner of my eye. They immediately shot down from the sky, as if almost direct in front of me, but not the same perspective, cant really explain it. point being, they shot down at light speed practically. I looked at my girlfriend and she said "what was that"? i asked if a bird crapped on my head, she said no, i though it was just something dumb and moved on.

about 45 seconds later, the same 2 object reappeared and swooped down in like 1/2 a second, like it said, it was like i caught them out of the corner of my eye in the sky, the swooped down, almost in between me and my girlfriend, and disappeared. when this happened a second time, i was convinced a bird pooped on my head and i stood motionless and asked her to look. as i looked over, everyone across the street was looking at me like they had seen a ghost. i was slightly nauseous but we kept walking. i was pretty freaked out. i am convinced it was orb's, since extra terrestrials are said to live in different dimension and not adhere to the same time and space restrictions, it is possible. it was twice, and never again since.

now the weird part- i did research, and those same two orb-type objects are being seen all over the country at the same time. it was busy week for sightings, is all im saying. and its getting busier.

since the sighting, i went back to the area where the sighting took place, to try and understand the significance. there is a direct route from my house to the sighing location. the entire time i walked to the site, at night, the moon and the only bright star in the sky practically pointed to the location for me. it is exactly between the two, and as a third point of reference, there is a red light from a tower behind... if you were to draw a triangle out of these points, from the angle, it would point to the location i was encountered. kind of like a guide, if you were looking for that point in the city. weird how it all lines up.

anyways, i will be investigating this more, i will be looking at the significance of the point where it happened (the landmark is at the point of a triangle in the road, and marked by the stars in a triangular fashion). any help would be appreciated...

WHITE LIGHT OVER SAN FERNANDO EXPLODES WHILE MOVING AND THEN GAINS SPEED AND DISAPPEARS

AT APPROX 22:30 ON 07-09-11 I WITNESSED AN OVAL SHAPE LIGHT APPEAR IN THE SKY. I WAS LOOKING DIRECTLY IN THE AREA OF WHERE IT APPEARED AND THERE WAS NOTHING THERE, SUDDENLY IT APPEARED, THE LIGHT BECAME REALLY BRIGHT (AS IF AN EXPLOSION), IT THEN MOVED FASTER AND THEN IT DISAPPEARED.

ABOUT 2 MIN LATER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. THERE WAS SOMEONE WITH ME THAT POINTED IT OUT, BY THE TIME I SAW IT, IT LOOKED AS IF IT EXPLODED AND THEN DISAPPEARED AGAIN.

OBSERVED THE DIAMOND SHAPE ACFT FOR 10 - 15 SECONDS. WAS GAINING ALTITUDE AND THEN DISAPPEARED.

Blue sphere witnessed over 5 Freeway, by Lankershim Blvd, on 12/11/10, around 9PM.

On the night of 12/11/10, I was driving North on the 5 Freeway around Lankershim Blvd. surrounded by other cars. It was approximately 8:50 PM. I noticed a spherical shaped object flying over the center of my vehicle. Other people noticed it as well. They hit their brakes to slow down and stare. It was similar to a meteor, yet there was no tail and it was larger than any meteor I had witnessed. The sphere was blue, strangely like the blue in the movie Tron. It lingered over the 2nd car in front of me; and followed at the same speed for a couple of minutes. It bounced forward in the air, much like a stone being skipped. Then, it behaved like a balloon that had been blown up and set free; as it darted to the right quickly, and then to the left and up. Next, it shot down to the left of the freeway as if it was going crash hard. I watched as I passed where I believed there would be an ultimate explosion, smoke, or signs of a helicopter or plane crash.There ! was nothing. It was gone Even though it had erratic movements, I still wanted to believe that it was a known craft. It looked and behaved like nothing I have seen in reality. Only on t.v. and in movies have I seen something move that far, that fast. I thought of the possibilities such as a search light, but there was no beam extending to the ground, and it was smaller. I thought about it being a helicopter when it was over the 2nd car, so I cracked my window and heard no engine sound. I have looked on you tube to see of anyone posted a video of it. I saw this one which does look like the sphere and the shade of blue.I doesn't have the same movements. Dividing object over San Fernando 9/21/08 followed by two jets...

Hi I would like to report a sighting from yesterday 9/21/08 I was on vacation for the weekend with my Husband at my brother in law’s house, San Fernando Valley, California.

At aprox 3:15 we saw in the sky, very high up a silver/chrome colored object was sitting still in the air. Very slowly it started to move in our direction. The object was moving too slow for an airplane. The object appeared to be splitting into two separate objects and then appeared to re-form. It also had almost looked like it was radiating heat as there was a slight ripple like effect surrounding it...

As the object slowly moved acorss the sky we saw two jets, one in front of the other fly close to this object as if in some kind of formation to observe whatever this object was.

About 30 minutes later the object was still moving slowly and we noticed a pink balloon object drift past the “UFO” in the opposite direction. So the balloon type object was following the wind direction and the “UFO was traveling in the opposite direction, thus confirming for me that the “UFO” was not a balloon and too slow to be an airplane and much to high to be either a helicopter or a blimp (which it bore no resemblance to anyways) the pink balloon type object almost looked like it was shriveling the “UFO” as were the jets.

All this time the object appeared to be dividing and re-forming.

We (my husband, sister in-law and myself) all observed this object for at least 40minutes in which this time it had made a slightly curved course across the sky.

Large object that spawned 8, 10 or more bright saucer-type bright objects

At approximately 3:30 p.m. February 26, 2008, on Truman Street (cross street San Fernando Mission Blvd), San Fernando, California, I witnessed what appeared to be a UFO.

The object was sighted in the southern sky and was a cigar-like object that appeared to have a slight dark or shadow side running diagonally from the tip to about 9 o’clock on the left side of the object. It moved slowly across the sky for what appeared to be a mile or so.

It stopped moving horizontally but looked like it was moving up vertically. Suddenly about 8 or 10 bright saucer-like objects appeared around the original ‘ship’. They did not appear to exit the original object, rather they appeared around it. The new objects moved about freely and effortlessly. They even appeared to form geometric shapes (a trapezoid, a rectangle with 2 parallel lines of 3 saucers each, etc). The bright shapes looked like fireflies circling the original object. They disappeared as quickly as they appeared, flying for about 3 minutes.

The original object kept moving upward, moving from side to side occasionally. Once more and about 5 minutes after they had disappeared, the saucer like objects reappeared and did a similar dance as in the first episode.

They disappeared much as they appeared-quickly and in unison.

The sighting was witnessed by at least 5 of my coworkers.

Large triangle shaped craft with three blue lights spotted by by two seperate motorists in San Fernando Valley.

I'm a big skeptic. I keep an open mind, but draw no conclusions. What my fiancee and I saw was nothing like we've seen before. Around 6:00, both of us got into our cars and proceed home from of different jobs. I was commuting North from Glendale into Valencia. My fiancee was coming from Reseda Blvd and was battling out the freeways in heavy traffic. At about 7:40, going west on the 210 freeway I spotted three lights traveling from the North to the South (San Fernando). The three lights formed what I can almost positively identify as a solid triangle. Two lights were a cool blue and did not pulse or strobe in any way, and a thrid, on the side (not directional front) was more white/yellow (also did not flash or blink). The object was large and low, about the size of a large commercial air craft at about the altitude you see them when they're approaching an airport to land. Sometimes you might see a strange light in the sky, but as you watch it it always explains itself by changing direction or distance and you come to realize, "Oh, it's just a plane... I couldn't see the wings before." But I observed this as it traveled across the complete 180 degrees of my field of sight, crossing over the freeway and continuing on over San Fernando Valley. This object never changed perspective. It appeared as a SOLID, large, geometric triangle with three lights at its points. No curves. No wings. And it glided slowly perfectly smooth over the freeway. Too slow for a plane at that distance and altitude. This was strange, but I might have been able to dismiss it easier if I hadn't arrived home to hear my fiancee saw the exact same object from the other side of the valley. Our observations were identical, and we both agreed that our after-work sleepy daze was broken when this strange object immediately stuck out. We both, independently came to the same conclusions (not that it was a space ship or anything, just that this was no ordinary plane) and we were shocked to find we both witnessed it. One case of over-active imagination... maybe. But two? I was going about 60 MPH but my fiancee was stuck in heavy traffic. I'm sure others on the freeway must have witnessed the same thing and I'd like to know if anyone got a better look.

8 lights like the ones seen in Arizona shape like a triangle were seen in front of my door step.

8 Triangle shape red lights formation were seen on the mentioned date, one light would change colors from light red to yellow, all 8 ligths went out at the same time later only 2 to 3 lights came back.I took my video camera but it was too late.After all lights went out another strange object was seen by my daugther and me she told it was a plane but i told no way because this object had no blinking ligths and was heading directly to lights very quitly after that a military helicopter was flying like crazy like if it was looking for some thing nothig was ever reported on the news so it was very strange since I'm a big fanatic about UFOS , I was so excited i stayed out there for a long time to see if the lights would come back but they didn't.

Multiple red objects hovering.

This past Sat. 30th Sept. 2000 at 9:47pm, I was just leaving the dept. store heading to my car when I looked up into the North Eastern sky and saw 9 to 10 RED objects dancing around glowing. Some were stationary(hovering)and the others were moving and winking out and return back in a differnt position. I yeld to the 4 ladies in front of me to LOOK UP, Look at that! They replied what is that? I only said call it ufo's for now I don't think they're flares. The Van Nuys Airport is in the opposite direction. The most compelling thing was before they vanished, they moved and formed a star constellation the Big Dipper and winked out a few at a time. This happen in just 2 to 3 minutes. I left and later came back with my cam corder and there was a helicopter circling the area at a low altitude. I don't know if it was police or military, but I got it(helicopter) on video. I do not know how long they were aluminated before I left the store.

A follow up to the reports of red lights over northern L.A. was reported
in the Daily News on Monday, October 2 under the title "Sky dives spur
UFO reports" by staff writer Elizabeth Rodriguez:

It seemed like an episode of "The X-Files" to some residents who saw
glowing red lights hovering in a V-formation over the northeast San
Fernando Valley on Saturday night.
"It was really bizarre," said San Fernando resident Janine Alvarado, who
joined her neighbors watching in front of their homes. "I didn't know
what it was."
An officer at the LAPD's Foothill station said police received a number
of calls from people in the Pocoima area alarmed by the unusual sight
near Whiteman Airport around 10 p.m.
He went outside and saw parachutes.
An employee at Whiteman said sky divers taking part in a show Saturday
night had flares attached to their feet as they jumped out of the
planes. The parachuters were entertainment for a party held in a hanger.

The jumps were approved by the FAA, he said. "Everything was legal."
Epifanio Baptista said he was with about 60 people at his house for a
family reunion and his guests began to yell and scream when they saw the
lights. But what they saw, he said Sunday, appeared to be moving to
quickly across the sky to be sky divers.
"It's hard to believe," he said, "My common sense says it's not
possible, I don't believe the explanation."

As I indicated in my telephone call to you, we at MUFON-LA didn't
receive any calls on the incident other than yours (which we appreciate

Bright Lights above the San Fernado Valley

There were four of us (two men, two women, all college grads)in the car, and as we headed North bound on the 405 freeway the passenger in the front seat was looking out his window to the East. He pointed out four bright red circles in the sky and asked us what they were, as we all took a look the circles broke formation, spread in different positions, and held them for several moments as a fifth light appeared. They moved with a and stopped like nothing any of us had ever seen...very smooth and seemed to stop on a dime with no correction for gravity. One of them then faded away, followed by another, and then the remaining three faded away together. While still looking, another red light came into view and suddenly a much larger orange-yellow circle appeared. We lost sight of them as we frantically pulled off of the freeway to get a better look and didn't see them again

NUFORC received multiple reports from the north Los Angeles area about this incident. We are still uncertain as to what caused the event. At least one newspaper reported that it had been caused by sky divers with flares attached to them as they descended. However, one large group of observers at a church function allegedly witnessed the event for a measured 22 minutes, probably longer than sky divers could remain suspended beneath a parachute during a typical jump. We will continue to investigate. PD

I was traveling East in the middle lane on the 118 freeway in the San Fernando Valley area of California. Immediately in ahead of me appeared a boomerang/trianular shaped craft approximately 75 feet above the freeway with uniform in shape and size luminous green lights on both edges of the craft. (Approx. 5-6 lights along each edge). The craft traveld towards me (West) for approx. 4 seconds, then made a smooth turn to the South without banking, i continued to watch until it left my field of vision at a quite a fast rate of speed.

We spoke with this witness, and found her to be quite credible, and a very good observer. If anything, she has understated here the dramatic nature of her sighting, we feel. Many other vehicle passengers on the freeway must have been witness to the same phenomenon.

I was driving north on the Ventura Freeway(101 Freeway). Off to the north east I saw a very thin blueish streak moving slowly towards the north. It was on the absolute horizon and was extremely faint. Meaning whatever it was was far away. Lasted only a few seconds. watch many ligth's in the sky day's before the sighting telling a frend about the ligth's at the same location a ligth came by at great speed it stop to the left of us and begane to flot in the air and drifed back in to space. after a while my friend left I came back to the site and , this time saw a object in the sky it was red in color and, it had an aura or haze around it . the shape look triangle .I watch a plane go under it . it drift back in to space and sat out there like a star .
