After capturing many long exposure photos, 10 seconds each withe the phone on stable ground, i reviewed the photos and found an object

A strange object with an oval light trail behind it. This triangular shape is bright as if fully illuminated. The trail of light behind the object (in an oval shape) does not match any star trail or meteor characteristics. The object border and shape are very clear and the shape holds throughout the light trail behind it. I noticed the object captured moments after taking multiple 10 second exposure photos of the night sky. The other photos from the exact same location and stable setup do not have this object as if it was a perfect blip captured on this single photo. It seems to be a very high altitude and the distance traveled would be extraordinary in 10 seconds.

Brilliant Round Orange light slowly coming in from the Southeast and heading Northwest.

As I was returning from turning off the water in my garden at 10pm, I noticed a brilliant orange light about 35-40 degrees above the horizon, proceeding at a constant speed from the southeast to the northwest. As first, I thought it was a satellite, but the brilliance of this light was far too bright for that explanation. I stopped and carefully listened for engine noises, and heard none. What became evident was that this craft was in the air somewhere between 5 to 10 thousand feet up, but given it was night, I could not estimate the altitude with any certainty. I saw no navigation lights or beacons of any type to identify it as a conventional aircraft. The brilliance of the light exceeded that of the moon or any planet. The moon was not out at the time of the observation.
As the light/orb passed directly overhead of me, I heard no jet or prop noise, which I continually listened for. It was a quiet night and only some minor road noise in the distance was heard along with normal frog croaking and the like at the pond near my home. I had a very bright flashlight with me, so I tried to signal the orb several times to see if it would respond. I did this several times throughout the sighting. There was no response. I turned to face the northwest and watched as the orb silently proceeded to the northwest and disappeared from sight beneath the treeline. And yes, I am aware the orange star Antares was visible from the same general direction I first noticed the orb I saw but Antares was below the tree line from my position and also suffers from the habit of not moving from it's fixed position in the constellation Scorpio. So Antares was not a reasonable candidate for what I saw.

I am retired, and worked 32 years in the spacecraft propulsion business and have aviation experience, having flown as a spotter in air shows and air combat contests in the past. I am familiar with a full range of aerospace vehicles and aircraft of all types. I also have four decades of amateur astronomy experience. This was no astronomical phenomena and certainly stood out as artificial versus a natural explanation. It was a moving craft of some type. It was not the ISS (which comes in from a different direction), which I have seen many times. The ISS passed overhead an hour prior to my sighting of this object. I could not determine the size of the orb/craft I saw due to uncertainty of the night sighting, but I will say again it was extremely bright and potentially a reasonably large object. The light itself which was brilliant, a deep orange color, and was completely round at all phases of the sighting from start to finish, as if the object was round in circumference as part of its structure and it emitted the light equally from all angles of view from my ground position. The color remained constant and the brightness was also equally constant. I also compared the bluish color of the southern stars I could see with the orange color of the object. They were considerably different and far less bright than the moving object I witnessed. The light also had a slight haze around it that followed it as the vehicle traveled northwest, extending a short distance from the structure of the craft in all directions.

Whatever this was, it was certainly unconventional and I could not identify what it was, hence my reporting it here.

Unexplained lights in the sky, moving erratically and quickly right and left, up and down

I noticed a strange light up in the sky that seemed to be moving very erratic, quickly back and forth, up and down. I called my husband out to look. We stood there for maybe 15 minutes, and within that time there were several more lights just like it on the right and left of the main one that we spotted first. It is a cloudy night so they were moving in a out of clouds. These things were not moving like an airplane at all. They were very erratic, back and forth, up and down. After about 15 minutes my husband and I went back in house.

It appeared just as I crested over a hill, blatent and moving slowly and effortlessly just above the tree line.

I am a 52 year old male. I own a small moving company in Reno, NV. I grew up in the East Bay of northern California. Prior to my "sighting" I would consider myself a believer in the possibility that intelligent life exists and very well may be and have been visiting our planet. With that being said I must convey that though I am a "believer" in so called UFO's. I have never had any encounters with or thought I might have possibly seen something that may have been a UFO. Nor have I ever went out into the night and looked for lights in the sky. I would have classified myself about middle of the road much like most of my family and friends.
On 7/6/21 My co-worked and I loaded two 26' Budget rental trucks in Danville, CA. We finished loading the trucks around 5pm right at the beginning of rush hour traffic all the way through Sacramento. Rather than sitting in traffic we visited a friend who lived close bye to kill some time. We were heading East on I-80 in Sacramento when I accidently turned onto Hwy50 East towards Placerville, Ca. and Lake Tahoe. It was a dark night so I was concentrating on the road. Just as I crested over a hill I saw what I thought was a fake spaceship very large mabye half of a football field or bigger just floating above the tree line in the distance. As I got closer the craft became more visible. At the same time I am in my mind trying to rationalize what I am seeing. When I got to around a few hundred yards from the craft It became abundently clear that this was not a baloon. It was the most badassed thing I had ever seen ever! The craft was from what I could see shaped like a tringle but not pointed more rounded at the points. The most noticeable thing was the thickness. It was I guess 10'-15' in height and sort of squared off the pronounced shape stood out. There were faint lights around the craft which helped make out the size better. The color was kind of gun metal grey in color and made no noise nor were there any visible means of propulsion. I was so amazed I could not take my eyes off of it. I was so close to it at that point that there was no internal battle taking place in my head questioning what I was seeing it was just matter of factly going about its business moving over the tree tops and disappearing down the valley out of sight. There were plently of other cars traveling East the direction I was heading as well as cars heading West but as to weather they saw the craft or not I could not say. I was never scared and I never questioned what I saw. What I find odd is that One would think that a encounter like mine would have a profound effect on me but it did not. It was easy to accept. I wanted to report my encounter mainly to see if anyone else saw anything but found it difficult to know where I could report it. My friend suggested this site so now I am reporting it.

Traveling NE in the clear sky like silver round object traveling at a smooth rate oc speed. Seem to know it was getting my attention, because I had this feeling something was watching me from the sky, nkt on anything or alcohol and two others confirmed seeing an object. Then it held its position in the sky, about a pin dot but still silver in color and now strobing in a way, maybe reflection from sun. It traveled in a clockwise movement, when I went to get my binoculars to get a better view it was no longer in my view. It shook me to my core and I watch satellites and space station fly by every day, this was not that. Maybe a drone but how far it went to the sky and the distance just seems unimaginable.

There was over 50 small but very visible lights in formation one after the other coming from the north headed south bound.

I have seen 50+ ufos they were in formation one after another not very far apart. The background was very clear with no light pollution. The objects seemed to be small lights but very visible in the night sky. The objects had no sound so they had to be at a very high altitude. They were coming of the north headed south bound in El Dorado, Kansas, at the El Dorado Lake State Park.

I was taking a picture of a Mt..Diablo, during sunset on an extremely clear day, while visiting our friends.

I took several shots, and noticed a faint line on the sky, like a vapor path of a high speed plane, so I decided to zoom in.

I took a picture and made a GIF file (rapid succession of 20 images). Upon reviewing the photographs, I noticed something strange--several objects appearing and dissapearing alomg the vapor path that is also strange as it is single and not double as those left by military jets.

My friend was with me at the time of making these photos, using my Galaxy Note 8 phone.

While walking on dark moonless night I noticed flashes of light up near some oak trees may be 50 yards away and thought it was a drone at first but another source of light pulled my attention to about 10 yards in front of me near some cattails in the is little marshy area- Again I thought drone but the lights were not connected and flashed, faded and then sped away back up towards where I saw the first flashes. I thought well maybe it was kids with lasers pointers but the angles and lights didn’t move like that. My music had stopped playing and I was a little freaked felt like the lights had run off and away from me, so I wasn’t in a panic but alert for sure.

A very small, circular shape was seen casting down onto the apartment complexes in eldorado hills. It shone two bright, conelike beams downwards. They were were small at the base, but the closer to the ground they got, the larger they became. No stars were visible around it. As time progressed, tell beams began to slowly rotate upwards, and finally stopped their movement at approximately 75° . The object, after being still for 10 minutes, began to slowly move downwards across the horizon. The beams did not fade with it.

After the craft itself disappeared, it left a black circle in the sky where it initially had been.

The stars then began to return, but it looked almost as if they were flickering.

After a few minutes of this phenomena, the beams slowly began to dissapeared, and a flashing white and blue dot was left in the center of the black circle.

Two diamond shaped craft rotating around each other with bright lights noted in broad daylight for 15 min.

While flying quad-copters for the day at a school on Saturday afternoon, I turned to the north and noticed 2 lights in the sky that were distinct from the high clouds. At first, I believed these to parachutes or para-motor type craft, but was confused, given the fact that the winds were beginning to make our flights difficult on the ground, and when I called attention to it to my friend who was flying quads with me, she too saw the same two craft and we immediately began to try to match it to known aircraft or explanations.

The two craft were seen at an elevation of approximately 40 degrees above the horizon and were due north of my position. The craft were moving in relation to one another with the top left craft from my position being brighter while the second similarly shaped craft was less distinct and even somewhat translucent. After a time the second craft was no longer seen and the brighter and larger craft stayed in view for many minutes. I attempted to film the craft with my on-board quad-copter camera but the lens for both this and my camcorder I had were not at all appropriate to this kind of a sighting and thus nothing was captured. In fact, the quad-copter camera mysteriously did not even have a record of the flight even though I had made certain to activate the camera and there was plenty of space left on the SD card! Early on in the sighting, the two craft were moving quite erratically and in revolutions clockwise around the other as if they were orbiting one another. My first thought was of a parachutist or para-motor craft in trouble with a bad chute then I realized how high these objects were and that it couldn't possibly be one or more chutes. We couldn't identify any noise coming from these craft. The lights were constant in brightness at first and there was no variation until the smaller craft began to fade from view.

As we watched, the motion of the bright light transitioned to a smooth rotating motion clockwise and slightly descending to the lower right towards the other object which seemed to rotate with it. The other object maintained it's distance from the larger during this change of altitude. When the brighter object suddenly stopped its rotation, the shape for both was seen as a diamond shape for both craft by both of us. The distinct edges and structure were then apparent and it was obviously a pair of physical objects.

The objects were behind the high thin clouds at times (still easily seen through the clouds) and my estimation of their height would be in the thousands of feet in the air. Other conventional aircraft in the air before, during and after the sighting were seen and this was definitely lower than commercial jet traffic but higher than the thin clouds. Given the distance and elevation, these had to be of considerable size. A commercial jet I saw during the sighting at 30,000 feet or so to the west had about the same apparent diameter as the larger bright diamond shape, so the object we were watching would be estimated to have a size approaching 50 to 100 feet as a very unscientific guess. The other object which "dissolved" from view was of a smaller size and perhaps was 75% of the size of the larger brighter diamond shape.

I also considered that the sighting might be a jet coming towards me with navigation lights on, but this was ruled out when the slow orbiting motion was observed. No jet or prop aircraft would do this since this would mean a aileron roll to the pilot's left or 45 to 60 degrees (to match what I was seeing) which would then have produced strong movement to the right from my point of view (unless the pilot was doing aerobatics which definitely was not the case here). Additionally, both objects had a long period of hovering in one position coupled with a slow movement to the east by 10 or so degrees over a period of minutes mystified me and made me rule out normal aircraft. I also considered if this was a balloon, blimp, glider or a helicopter. The observation of the two objects satisfied none of these explanations as we both attempted to ascertain what we were seeing.

I also considered astronomical causes. No meteor trail was noted. It was not a planet, since the ecliptic was to my back since I was facing due north during daylight hours. It was not a supernova, comet or any other natural sky-borne phenomena that I have ever encountered.

Around 14:05 hours Pacific, I pointed a camcorder towards the object and was marking my position in relation to it. The sole remaining diamond shape object was clearly visible with only a few whispy clouds near it and I turned the camera away and then back to the position of the object only to find is was nowhere to be seen. In a matter of seconds, it had vanished.

One notable event occurred some minutes afterwards. A lower altitude Cessna or similar style aircraft that appeared to be completely painted black appeared from the north and at a much lower altitude. If overflew us directly at an altitude of around 1500 feet and was flying extremely slowly. I cannot say if this was related, but it certainly caught my interest given the direction of travel and behavior.

I have spent a lifetime in around rocket and aircraft systems and have spent 30+ years in amateur astronomy. I have flown in fighter aircraft as a civilian and know the full range of U.S. and foreign civilian and military aircraft from past and current fleets. This matched none of the craft or natural astronomical phenomena I have ever seen or have knowledge of. I cannot say what we saw, but it was certainly an unknown and my hope is that someone else in the area saw it and can add their testimony to the sighting and perhaps identify what it was.

Size – about ½ dime at arms length.

This was NOT an airplane. No green lights or white strobes.

I am an engineer and pilot for 45 years and have never seen lights in the sky like this.

Three strange disappearing lights outside of Towanda/El Dorado Kansas

A friend and I were headed north on Highway 254 towards El Dorado, when I had seen an orange and a white light that looked odd. I looked back at the road and up again and they were gone.

Shrugged it off as a plane, but I still had went to the extent off calling my husband about it.

About 5 min later I seen them again, this time there was three. A tiny white sparkle of light a orange light slightly bigger and another orange light a few times the size of the other all hovering together but they were all jumping around each other for a good 30 seconds and one by one they zipped off.

ok so i was sitting outside my house talking on my cell phone and it appeared and moved from left right up and down in no specific direction or pattern so I went in the house got my rifle with hunting scope 50mm 4x24 powered and also told my mother what i had saw and she came outside to see if it was still there I coulnt stay on the craft with the scope because of it moving and difficutly at night it was hard to see it threw the scope so we was just looking at it naked eye and she confirmed that what I had told her was truthful and we both seen it flipping colors red with white outline green and sometimes a quick blue. i was completely blown away by this as i am fimiliar with drones and air planes also i did a ruff measurment on where the craft had been moving and how long it took it to get there and later seen a plane in the approximate location and it took the air plane some 9 seconds to cover the ground the other craft had in just 2.5 seconds.

knowing the average speed of a 747 around 550 mph this craft must have been moving at well over 1000 mph and could stop and turn on a dime.

also we was still observing it and it was there and then just like that neither one of us blinked and it was gone. this happened two nights in a row just would like some answers

I saw a bright shimmering light hovering over the mountain approximately 3 miles away. The light was perfectly still.

At first I went outside to observe it. Then I decided to go upstairs and search for some binoculars.

After a minute or two I still could not find them, so I went to grab the the telescope and focus in for a clearer shot.

I had the object sighted in with the smaller locating scope and when I went to find it on the big scope it was gone.

I looked back up and the light was completely gone.

The light was approximately 600 to 1000 feet off the ground judging from the trees in the horizon.

It was in the sky for at least 30 minutes. I also saw this object approximately a week ago at about the same time in about the same location. I thought it moved a little then. But, this time I am sure it moved. It was not a star.

After a minute or two the two objects separated and one changed direction and headed at a 90o heading West as the other object continued South.

One light, magnitude six or so traveling at a high rate of speed and stopping, turning, hovering, and looping E to W then NW to SW.

Hello this night I was at the El Dorado Lake, Bolder Bluff area. I was sitting in a chair that sort of leans back and has a foot rest, watching the stars,(I'm a bit of an amature astronomer). I know my stars, and my planes very well. I know what planes are at what air force bases in the area and what there capable of doing. I love physics and military info. I don't believe in aliens, at least not ones near our solar system. I'm sure, as most scientist are, that life exists somewhere in the Galaxy. It's ridiculas not to.

This light I thought was a star of about a magnitude six and was white in color and did not blink or flash like most planes do. It was in the eastern sky, and then it moved west it and very fast. Which is why I really noticed it. I thought it was a satellite until it stopped on a dime, and then changed directions, looping north then back on the same east to west heading. Only to stop again, and do a circle, stop and hover for a few seconds and after that it was back on the same heading. This repeated several times. It lasted so long my neck hurt the next day,(I had gotten up to turn off my lanturn), when I tried to retrive my binoculars I lost it of course! It was very intriguing and i kept an eye out for it. Then I caught it in the northwestern sky headed southeast doing the same type of movements. The light finally disapeared in the southwestern sky. The duration was from 9:15 to 9:32. The light was traveling at about the speed of a satillite or faster but was brighter than most. It had to be some type of craft, it could not have been a star, satillite, or any aircraft I know of obviously.

This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this, and I believe it to be a secret military craft. That is up for interpretation. I have been vidulant at looking for this light since that night,(9/20/2012) to no avail though.

There were four planes during that time period that I noticed. All of which were headed on a east west heading, probably to and from Wichita, KS. Two headed east and two west. I'd love to see the radar reports from that night if at all possible. Someone had to see this light, either on radar or visually. It was perfectly clear sky, and pretty much has been every night since. If anyone had seen this also please report it.

I could not believe the speed at which the light was traveling or how it could just stop and loop or do perfect right angle corners. This was no illusion, I'm not insane, actually I have a very high IQ. And it makes my a little angry the way people look at me when I tell them about it. Hi, this is the first time I have ever reported a UFO, but I had to share it.

I live in El dorado, Ks.. I work in Wichita, Ks and I was on my way to work this morning 7-5-12 at 4:30 AM. I was at the intersection on Haver hill and Central this morning in El dorado at 4:30 AM with my turn signal on, waiting to turn West on 254 on my way to work in Wichita. As I was sitting there an Orange ORB appeared about a 45 degree angle out in front of me in the sky. It appeared to be less than a mile in the air. This was an orange orb which appeared to have an odd looking aurora or energy field surrounding the orb. There also appeared to be some kind of structure in the orb but I could not make it out. The orb was glowing and appeared to be pulsating and was very bright. As I sat at the turn light the orb was moving to the North East very slow, I decided to follow it. I followed the orb about 1 mile as it seem to be just glowing and appeared to be moving slowly. As I followed the orb, the orb appeared to slow down and I pulled over. I turned off my car and noticed! there was no sound at all in the air, also there was no blinking light what so ever on the orb.

I started to flicker my headlights from dim to bright many times at the orb while I was parked there. The orb all of a sudden changed colors from orange to white and appeared to just stop. It appeared to be checking me out for approx 30 seconds. Then the now white light started to get real small and then smaller then just faded away instantly. I have never seen any ufo but I know it was not any plane or anything I have ever seen before..... I was in sort of shock all day at work and I just got home and had to report it Thank you

A bright light appeared approx 5 miles away in the southern sky. The object hovered, and then moved rapidly to the right then back to the left. Faster than any helicopter could maneuver. After about 1 minute the bright light completely disappeared. After about 30 seconds it returned and continued to maneuver back and forth and up and down then rapidly moved to the south until it was no longer visible on our horizon. We have a photo of the object which shows a 90 degree light with a separate vertical light.

Ten small, white, shiny objects hovered over our house in changing formations before drifting upwards and disappearing.

On March 3rd, my mother and I were on our back porch, watching a large flock of waterfowl fly overhead, when we noticed something else among the birds. At first, they appeared to be another flock of some kind of fowl, until we realized how slowly they were moving. There were ten of them, and they were small, white dots, and, from what I saw through a pair of binoculars, appeared to look slightly like deformed bowling pins. Over 20-30 minutes, they slowly made their way through the sky for about four or five hundred yards and then stopped directly over our house. Then they hovered there soundlessly (the noisy geese were long gone), and the ten of them would move slowly into differnt formations, mostly triangles. They did this for about ten minutes, and then slowly seemed to drift upwards until disappearing into the sky.

I am not one of the observers but I trust their description of the following. Rescue is small N. CA. rural town.

Last night at a barbecue, five friends watched a triangle shaped craft hover at perhaps a thousand feet, then shoot to over twenty thousand feet in the blink of an eye. The craft was described as being about the size of a barn, triangle in shape with white lights. They watched the craft with bonoculars for over three hours. I neglected to get the specific time of night of the event Four of the observers are long time residents of the area and are good citzens, one is a felon and reported the sighting to his parole officer.

Amazing craft bright blue & red 2 nights in a row.

2 Days in a row we have seen and have multiple photos of items in the sky the main craft is a very bright red on one side and very bright blue on the other with a white stripe down the middle. After reviewing the photos there are multiple other odd shaped and colored items or crafts in the photos that we have no idea what they could be. The main craft will spin and make very fast moves throughout the sky and then it dissapears and will re-appear elswhere in the sky. We have never seen anything like this and hope to video it if it happens again.

Hundreds of people witness 6 different ufo's checked out and seemed threatened by a fireworks display in southern IL

People attending a fireworks display witnessed 6 seperate LOW FLYING UFO's slowly fly over - back and forth for over an hour. 4 of them were Orange Rings, the other 2 were orange and looked like hot air balloons. The objects seemed to be attracted to the fireworks and possibly threatened, all of them got close and increased their altitude substantially. They followed the crowd as the were leaving the site of the display as well.

These objects, according to other eye witnesses have been around that town late at night-early morning, and hadnt seen them exhibit such behavior before.

As I was sitting on my patio observing the stars, I was surprised by an object that at first looked to me like an aircraft flying at a low altitude (my initial guess was something like 5000 ft) on fire going from north to south. However, after I realized that it had traversed from approx. 20 degrees above the north horizon to approx. 20 degrees above the south in about 3 seconds, I decided that it must be something else. It was silver color (not red- orange) somewhat a triangular shape about the width of two fingers at arms length and twice as long with streaming to the rear.

At 9:25pm on 11/01/2009 a bright light hovered over a mountain range due west of eldorado hills, ca and it abruptly disappeared.

At 9:25pm I was walking to bed when I passed by our sliding glass door and noticed an unusually (what seemed to be) star due west of home. The 'star' looked to be hovering still over the next mountain range. At first I thought that is way too bright for a star, so I considered it might be a plane. I looked closely for appx 30 seconds and the light did not move at all and their were no other lights associated with it to indicate it was a plane. At that point the light disappeared completely. If it were a plane, not only would I have saw at least some movement, but I would have saw the tail lights or other lights when it would have turned. Their is no other way to discribe what I seen, other than a UFO.

As I approached within a thousand ft. of them they turned their floodlights off, and raced to the west at an unbelieveable speed and disappeared. I will be monitoring the Wichita Eagle newspaper for any possible missing persons report. This is all I want to say now.

narrow silver object moving rapidly south

I was waiting for my daughter to finish her dance class on a Wednesday in February, either the 4th or the 11th, looking out the window at all the airplanes flying over me. My car was facing southward, with the sun getting lower to my right. I remember several of the planes shining brightly silver when they crossed the path of the sunlight.

I looked out my window to the left and noticed a silver colored object moving rapidly towards the south. The shape was similar to a blimp, but I was not able to see any sort of fins on the back or anything underneath it. It was also narrower in the body than any blimp I have seen. It had absolutely no trail behind it at all. It was low enough that I could see it had no wings, but was higher than any of the local small planes fly. It traveled across the sky at about the same speed the jets were also traveling. It lit up brightly when it went through the sunlight, as the jets had also done. Then it was out of sight behind the building I was facing.

Large Black Floating Buidling (Box)

I was driving and it still was some daylight left, there appeared a huge black I can only describe what looked like a floating building. There was no noise.

I pulled to the side of the road on El Dorado Hills Blvd. and it was slowly coming down and I thought it was going to crash into the Raley's shopping center so I pulled out from where I had stopped on the side of the road to observe what this was. It looked like a box with one corner as the front of the vehicle.

I turned to go up a road, quickly as I thought it was going to crash and I hurried home to look out my window as I live up on a hill and I saw nothing. As I was driving I could see nothing in my rear view mirror.

When I came home I looked up on line and in the news to see what might be there and I could never find anything.

I reported it on a site and gave my name and e-mail and never heard back. I can't really remember the year, it was either 2008, 2009, October.

two cigar shaped objects slowly crossing over road

Friday, November 9, 2007, I was driving from Eldorado, Texas to Christoval, Texas. It was about 1:30pm and it was a very clear blue sky. I could see two wispy white clouds, high above to my right. I was driving north on HWY 277 near the old PAVE PAWS govt. radar facility.

There was plenty of traffic heading South but I was the only one at that moment traveling North.

Ahead in the distance, I could plainly see one large tree on the left side of the road. The road turned a bit to the right and was at a higher altitude than where I was currently.

I suddenly became aware of two disks or cigars shaped objects traveling West only a few feet above the height of the tree. But they were not as high as the height of the cell tower on the right. I became aware of them on the right side of the road and could see them crossing over the road in front of me. I was traveling 70 miles per hour but they appeared to be going slowly. They were not very big. Maybe the size of a car. They were traveling one in front of the other. They were the color of the white clouds near by. They almost looked invisible but I could make out their shape against the background. It seemed forever until I arrived to the top of the small hill where the tree was and I slowed down to look toward the west. I could not see them again on the left side of the road.

The rest of the trip, I kept looking at other things trying to justify that I really saw them. I spotted a big Texas vulture, but it still looked like a bird when I got close. I spotted a jet across the sky with the white streak behind it but as I got closer, it still looked like a jet. I spotted a small airplane near San Angelo, but as I got closer and it got further, it continued to look like a small plane. I do not know what I saw, but it appeared to me like they thought they were hidden as they traveled slowly across the road. Almost like I was not supposed to have noticed them.

I was sitting in the car waiting for him to finish the interviews and take the pictures. I was staring at the sky and while doing so noticed an extremely bright light compared to the surrounding stars. We both decided that the light looked to be about 10,000 feet from the ground. This is merely an approximation and could be completely skewed.

As I was looking at the light I noticed that it didn’t appear to be moving, and for how close it seemed to be, this was unusual to me. I watched it with growing interest and saw it slightly waver side to side, but only very slightly. It just looked like it was hovering. It was very bright, almost appearing to be a flood light. It then started to dim, and almost looked like it disappeared. I looked longer and realized that it was illuminating a cloud. I therefore decided that a cloud had passed in front of it. After about two minutes the object started to reappear, only it was a brick red color and very dull. It appeared to be the same size of the stars when it was not so brightly illuminated. Within thirty seconds the light had turned from red back to the previous white bright light.

My fiancée had returned to the car at this point and I told him about the object I had been looking at. We then decided to watch it longer, and moved locations to a darker parking lot. The object was in the North-west part of the sky towards the lower half. We watched it for another five minutes or so. I decided to call my mom in hope that she could find it and attempt to look at it with binoculars. Less than a minute after I called her and told her to go outside the light dimmed and then disappeared. It was 10:39 when the light disappeared. We watched it a little longer to see if it would reappear as it had done previously, but it didn’t appear to be doing anything. Then as I was watching I noticed the same brick red color as before and very small again. I continued to watch and noticed that it seemed to be flickering, much like a star from red to blue. Finally we decided to go home and that was the last I saw of it.

We saw the same object coming home from the grocery store, triangular lights that hovered just below the treeline.

On 1/09/07, my fiancee and I were returning from the grocery store in our small town. Less than one block from our home, we turned off the side street and something caught our eye at the same instant.

I was sitting in the passenger seat of our pick-up truck and saw three large yellow-orange lights that appeared directly over several homes in our neighborhood. The lights made a perfect large triangle shape. They appeared to be just below the treeline. From the angle I was viewing, I could see the lights (very orb like and very bright, but they were constant and shining straight down and not rotating). The object seemed to just hover right below the treeline. I could barely make out a rough outline of a large dark triangular craft. I would say the craft was about the size of two small homes, but I could not judge it's height.

Just as I saw it, my fiancee asked, "Do you see what I see?" I asked him what he saw. He said he saw three bright lights shaped in a triangular form and as soon as he said this, the object disapppeared, just seemed to be gone.

We could not believe what we had seen, and when we got home, I immediately asked him to draw on paper the shape of the lights and told him I would do the same. Our drawings were identical. However, he said he could not make out anything but the lights but that it did just disappear.

My fiancee's truck window was slightly down and there was absolutely no noise. This was on a clear night. We live near Wichita, KS where there is a large airport and many flights cross our skies, but my fiancee and I have never seen an airplane with a triangluar form and lights that hovered and then as quickly disappear, with no sound at all.

2 space ships in the sky

Last night I was out walking my dog, and I happened to look up at the sky because I read something about Jupiter being able to be seen. As I was admiring it and the moon a blinking light caught my eye and as I was staring at it I was wondering if maybe it was a plane. After I put my dog in the house I ran back outside to look again and thats when I notice there was 3 of them. At first they were all flying in a triangle then one of them disapeared. So here I am watching the remaing 2 ships, as far as I could tell they had red and white blinking lights which went around in a cirle. The lights were blinking quite fast as they went across the sky. I looked like they were deliberately flying at the same speed with one of them flying slightly behind the other but higher up, the other was flying ahead of the other but lower. But the were definitly flying together. I don't know if they were trying to find a place to land or not because they soon disappeared behind some trees. I was outside watching them for about 45 mins. I thought the light were blinking way to fast ato be airplane and I have never seen 2 planes flying together like they were.

Plane/Comet looking craft in Sacramento area.

I was just about to enter the building where I work and I happened to look West and I noticed what appeared to be an airplane (very slow moving). The craft was only visible as a orangeish reddish light about the size of two large stars. I watched it for about ten seconds or so and looked down for about 5 seconds. When I glanced back up the craft had covered a pretty good amount of distance, became twice as bright, three times as large, and appeared to be shining a broad flood light just south of my location, which I found very odd. As I continued to watch I noticed low hanging, wispy clouds which accounted for the distinct appearance of the "beam" of light, but now the light spread was facing the rear of the craft. The object now looked like a comet without the long tail.

At this point it now had my complete undivided attention, which is good because the next event made me cast all doubts as to weather or not this was a publicly known craft. In a odd way the craft had now either exploded or accelerated in a completley different direction, the best I can describe is NNW (45* difference in original path) and about 10* higher. When it did this, a very distinct shockwave caused the surrounding clouds to curl on themselves, similar to a plane breaking the sound barrier but in a much larger fashion (no noise at all for the entire duration of sighting). When this happened, the appearance of the craft slowly faded out. From the time I looked back up at the craft to the time it was no longer visible was about 50 seconds or so.

I have seen many many meteors, 1 meteorite and a couple of balzacks (the term I believe is given to a meteor exploding in the atmosphere, occasionaly audible) and as far as my experience has taught me, this was niether a rock nor known plane. Perhaps it was a satillite re-entering but I was under the impression that those are brighter and not nearly as slow moving. This craft did not at any time leave a debris trail as such other objects tend to do.

In summary, it looked like a very slow moving plane at first with no blinking lights, then it looked like a police helecopter with a searchlight (but MUCH broader) and then a comet without its charachteristic long tail and finally, *pow*, gone.

Large planet like object in southwest sky.

I assumed that what we were seeing was the Space Station, but I can't find any info so far on its orbital patterns or how large it appears in the sky.

This is a very large object that looks like a huge star but it isn't quite round. It is in the south southwest most nights for the last month or so. It is not always in the same exact place and some nights it seems to set. I have even seen it before sunset as it is so bright.

My son and one of his friends sat outside and watched it late one night and said they saw two smaller round objects of light go up to it from the earth in basically a second or two. They assumed they were some kind of advanced aircraft rendezvousing with the space station. It also will turn off and on, we assumed they were turning the solar power panels or something and the reflected light was no longer coming our way.

Now since doing an internet search I'm not sure what this thing is. Has anyone else seen it and been able to identify what it is? I'd really like to hear from someone on this. Thanks.

I was cooling off in my backyard swimming pool--It was between 9:30 and 10:00--when the sky lit up in the northwest, and I saw a large object, with fire shooting/sparkling from it, sailing across the sky. As it quickly descended, I awaited the crash but didn't hear anything. The whole event probably lasted 3-5 seconds, but it seemed longer. It was probably a meteorite, but I've never seen one on fire before. What a fantastic sight! (It was so obvious, that I know I'm not the only person in El Dorado, AR who saw it.)

Bright light with red around center moved towards us

At 0315 hours one of the kids was in need of water, returned child to bed and stayed up for an hour. Upon returning to bed at 0415 June 5, 2004 and looking out large window on second story with unobstructed view to the south from our hillside home, I noticed a strange bright star? I continued into master bedroom and then backed up and walked over to side window for second look. The object was gleaming in the sky with star shape form with red tint around center with an estimated distance of 3,500 south and 500' from ground. I rubbed my eyes and continued to watch for ten (10) minutes prior to waking my wife. We then both continued to observe the star like object for several minutes with object maintaining horizontal and vertical position. After approximately 8 minutes the object started to move towards us, north, and to the west the and rapidly moved up behind homes to the west of our home approximately 500' due west. The object was now heading due north behind homes.

As object moved, we ran down stairs and out the front door. The object moved out from behind and directly above neighbors home and shape appeared to be diamond shape with cylinders at each corner extending up 20' high with white light, bright white light! It appeared to be solid light. The object was estimated to be 150' to 185' long. I purposely listened for any type of engine sound similar to aircraft, none detected. As the object gracefully moved past or from behind house accross street, it headed west with out tilting like typical aircraft and settled below ridge west of neighbors home with out noise and with in 150 to 300' of horizontal distance/travel.

My wife contacted police department. She also contacted Mather Airport and Sacramneto Airport, both denied having any aircraft with in 2 miles of location.

I have been a Project Manager in the Heavy Construction field for about 20 years, and my wife was a Flight Attendant for a major airline for about 13 years, and now a stay at home mom with 3 children.

bright white light get bigger then smaller and then travel away from or into space.

I walked down my drive-way to pick up our mail, and I usually I look up into the sky towards the higher Sierras (north-east from my location). This area is always the darkest and stars are easy to see. At this point I thought I was watching a star burn-out, but what I saw was a bright white light get bigger then smaller and then travel away from or out into space, the light got smaller it changed to redish orange as if a jet turned on it's boosters and vanished after about thirty to sixty seconds. There was no trail left behind but it moved ultra fast, I thought this could be the rocketship that was launched from kursicstan. Hope this info helpfull.

Eight Purple Circle like objects...Could it be a UFO?

I was going from Crossett Arkansas to Eldorado Arkansas when I decided to take a few pictures of the sunset. When I downloaded them onto my computer(digital camera) I saw that 8 circle like objects were in the 3 pictures I took.They were purplish in color and they were shaped like a circle. A few minutes after I took those 3 pictures I took one more and that was the last one I took. When i dowloaded the pictures the last one was just a normal picture.The "ufo-like" object were no where to be seen.

Spheres the night of Iraqi invasion

Todays date is 08/22/04. I am slow in reporting this, but after seeing the info concerning the objects(spheres of light)sighted in Mexico, I felt compelled to write about what I had witnessed.

The night/early morning of my sighting was the night we invaded Iraq. I had been on the computer most of the night talking with friends and following links about what was happening world wide. I was upset about the war,and at about 1:30 I finally turned the computer off and walked out onto my back deck, which faces directly South. As I stood there breathing in the cool night air, I was looking up at the sky, just thinking about the war and such. Over to my right,Southwest, at about 50 degrees, I saw a trail(pieces)of fire shooting off to my right into the night sky. My first thought, someone is shooting off a flare of some sort? (I live in the country miles from town and city lights)...then directly in front of me 90 degrees, between two large leafless oak trees, Two side by side orbs or spheres of light came on...they just seemed to turn on....if you held two 24" peices of circular paper at arms length, that was how large they appeared in the sky. They seemed very close, or were extremely large. I have seen planes with their landing lights come over before, but, these spheres of light were nothing like that. They were perfectly spaced(like headlights)...the light was a pale white/greenish yellow, a non color really...and there was no illumination coming from the light...I stood there just staring at them, wondering how long would they last,what were they...they were not moving, there was no sound coming from them...then just as quietly as they had turned on, they turned off. Fading to the blackness of the sky. I stood there for maybe 10 minutes or more to see if something else might happen. Nothing did. The next day I asked a friend who was in the military if he had ever heard of government flares of that sort, he told me no, he never had.

The night of the sept 11th disasters, i went outside to verify that there were no aircraft flying. I saw a bright round light high in the sky above me. I thought it was a meteor at first. It was speeding in my direction when it stopped above me still high in the sky & hung there for a second then sped off to the south. I have seen many meteors & it was the same brightness. I had the eerie feeling it was reading me when it stopped for that second.

I saw an orb of white light traveling extremely fast at treetop level that appeared to be the size of my fist if I were to raise it

It was a full moon outside and there was no clouds in the sky. I was walking outside my residence when a bright whit orb flew aross the sky at an extremely high rate of speed. I saw this bright circular, blurry light in the sky that got bigger as it came closer

I live in a loft type home that consists of mostly 2-story high windows on 3 of 4 sides. At around 4:30 am on 9/20/00 I saw a strange blurry circular light. As it came closer to the house the light grew very large and pretty bright. There was no sound at all. This object came right up to the windows, and seemed too low to be an aircraft (especially with no sound). As it passed by the house I saw a completely round object, like a baseball. It was white in color, and it had a singular strand or line of red lights all the way around the center. The red lights were not on, but 2 or 3 would blink on randomly . After it passed the house, I then heard a very loud noise. Like a rip in the air? Its hard to explain, like a hole being torn in the air. I ran to the front window , and there was nothing. It was gone in a split second? I cannot explain what this thing was, but I am very sure of exactly the description of it. This was something I have never seen. The following day, military helicopters circled the general for several hours.

Two witnesses were experienced Amateur Astronomers Two events spaced over a 20 minute timeframe. Witnesses were using a Mead ETX 125 and binoculars to ID messier objects for pleasure viewing. A bright (brighter than any star) Blue light was observed coming from close to North, first noticed at about 75 degress above horizon (moving south). We initially assumed it to be a satelitte. The light quickly varied from bright to VERY bright, and sumultaneously turned sharply to move in a Easternly direction. Light diminished dramatically after turn, and light did not move in a straight line but swerved sharply as it traveled in a generally Easternly direction. We were able to observe with both the binoculars and the Mead, as speed was very slow (very similar to a normal satalitte speed), but the object remained a blue point source under magnification. One member of the party (the guy with the binoculars), indicated that the object had a less bright companion about 10 degress south (higher in the sky) that shadowed its movments, but the others in the party did not see this object. Object crossed perhaps 40 degress of sky before disappearing (slowly disappeared). Most disconcerting was anomolous movement. Turns were far to tights for any aircraft we were familiar with. 2nd observation occured about 15 minutes later. Again an object appeared from north, at about the same location. However, brightness did not seem to vary during sighting. The object (moderately bright blue light), was noticed at about 60 degress above horizon moving south (via binoculars. Object moved to about 75 dgress above northern horizon, met two other objects that were stationery at that spot (we had assumed were stars), then all thre objects moved "as one triangular structure" to the east. We carefully observed background stars between objects as the triangle moved east (with binoculars and the Mead scope). The triangular formation was intially isoceles, but the lead object moved slightly north during the easternly flight so that the formation apeared as a right triangle by the time the objetcs faded in the east (there was a little haze in the eastern sky in the direction of Lake Tahoe). Again speed was very similar to satellite motion. All three objects were exactly the same brightness (blue points of light). Total time watching formation move perhaps 4 to 5 minutes.

There was one light. It was a soild white color. It came closer and as it did so it also got brighter and bigger. It started moving around in cirlcles. After that it shot to the left very fast, and then to the right at the same speed. It continued going back and forth. It stopped and shrunk into nothing.

Star-like bright light with fire colored, pointed tail. Moved, then became stationary.

This location is just east of Sacramento, CA. Just about 2 or so miles south of Highway 50, on Latrobe Rd. It is in the foothills, and very rural. The stars show brightly. I would be happy to draw a picture for you if you are interested. Looking south, the moon was very round and bright. I looked up and saw a bright star-like object with a fire colored tail moving to the right of the moon. I called two other people out of the building and by the time they got there the fire had gone out. The light continued to move to the right and downward. It stopped at about '3 or 4 inches' from the moon and stayed there for at least 2 hours. I work graveyard, and I had just arrived at work, so I know the time is correct. I came out on my first break at 12:00am, and the light was still there. I know next to nothing about stars etc. but it seems there is usually one in that position. However, we did see this light move rapidly down to that position. I've been noticing little things up there over the past few months, but I attributed them to my eyes playing tricks. This, however, was no trick of the eye. I thought it was just one of the meteors that I'd read about and heard Art talking about, but it stopped dead still, so I just thought I'd mention it!

A beam of RED light came out of the clouds, like a flashlight beam in the fog, only very bright and large beam.

I was driving south bound on toll road I35 in Kansas looking a little to the left side of the interstate at milemarker 84.5 when I observed the beam of light project from above the clouds toward the ground. From my vantage point I would guess the top of the beam to be approx. 100 ft. and the bottom to be at least 500 ft. across. It lasted for not more than 3 seconds maybe less. The weather was nice approx. 68 degrees, slight wind, puffy clouds, no fog, best I could tell there were no airplanes in the area I was driving.

Large sphere above the American River

Myself & three others where driving up hwy. 50 north towards tahoe, when we looked over to the passenger side of the car... appx 500 feet off the hwy, right above the American River & about 20 to 50 feet above the tree line, we saw a LARGE Sphere shaped hovering ufo... it had gold colored lights on the top & bottom. just below the top "light" there was a strip of circular lights(multiple colors, white red blue green yellow/gold) spinning to the right... same thing at the bottom of the craft, except that the lights where spinning in the opposite direction(to the left). there was also a similar strip of lights around the middle of the craft, but they where stationary. in between the middle and the top & bottom of the craft, there where what looked like thousands of bright BLUE windows... all in all the thing looked very similar to a disco/mirror ball, except that it had lights spinning around the top & bottom.

I'm not sure how long it was there for, it was there when we saw it & we did not stop. we just kept driving. myself & 1 other person saw this sphere shaped ufo, because we where on the passenger side of the car & awake... the driver could not take their eye's off the windy road, & the person next to me was asleep as far as size... it was pretty large, I'd say at least a couple of football fields wide & high. there was no sound what so ever coming from the sphere... I rolled down my window & all I could here was the car I was in. & the area I saw this thing is not populated, at least not very many people live out there, maybe a house here & there, nothing big enough to explain what I saw. 1 more thing... when I looked at it, I felt as if I was on stage with a million eye's looking at me, you know that feeling when some one is staring at you behind your back.

My friend and I were sitting outside on the patio of ((name deleted)) Station when I noticed a light approximately 3500 ft in the air slowly flashing on then off.

My friend and I were sitting at ((name deleted)) on the patio. As we were talking I noticed that beyond his head about 2 miles away (as the crow flys) I saw what I thought was a star. I kept turning on then off. I told him and he turned around to watch it too. I would slowly turn off the all of the sudden it would be there again. This happened a few times then we noticed it was getting closer and larger. We then saw that it had a triangle shape to it. As we joked about it it turned off and dissappeared for about 5 minutes. It then reappeared only this time it was farther away and more north. After it had moved north a little it shot off what seems to be a light ball of some sort.It was strange because it just seems to stay in one spot except when it was moving closer to us. My friend is a network engineer for Intel and has had 10 years of Navel expeeriance. I am single mother of two teenagers. I wworked for ((name deleted))up until last April when I had a sledding accident and broke my back.

My daughter and I saw a colorful streak or flash across the sky at aprox. 8.45 a.m. I asked her what she saw and she discribed the same thing I had seen.

While driving my daughter to school I saw a very colorful flash or streak across the souther sky. I was quiet for a second or two the said " I saw a U.F.O." My daughter said, "so did I!" I asked her what she saw (without teller her what I saw or where) She discribed the very same thing that I had seen. It was a white to yellow to bright green flash or streak.

I was standing in my driveway getting into my car when it happened. My back started to get extremly hot, it felt like I was getting a sunburn. I torned around and there not twenty feet from me was three red glowing objects I was in shock. The glow off of the objects were dim but the heat was unbareable. Summary : One object with 5 dim red v shaped lights or five objects flying in formation. No sound. Moved generally West to East. Lights were shaped like "V" 's. Formation was also a V

The summary covers everything. The lights were dim and reddish. It made no sound. I only saw it for a few seconds ( less than five seconds ). I was in town, not in the country, the night sky was clear. It moved more or less from West to East. Don't know what it was, but I thought I was important enough to report. I don't know how high in the sky it was. I was in my back yard. I am not obsessed with UFO's or anything, I just saw something odd and was wondering if anyone else saw it.

sighting high up in space

I was riding with my friend ((witness #1)) from Tahoe to meet his uncle and family traveling in their RV from Stockton. We were to meet in El Dorado Hills for some supplies. It was late, about 10:15pm when we met at his RV. We were all outside on a very clear warm evening, No moon that night you could see billions of stars and easily spot a satellite going by in space, and I did. Being an avid astronomer myself, I pointed almost directly up at the sky and said "look at this satellite going by" So by the time everyone looks up and sees it - out from the south came a fish-tailing light about the same brightness as the satellite. It was fish-tailing from left to right as it went forward in space. And guess what, it was on a collision course with that satellite! ((Uncle's name deleted)) uncles older niece (sic--cousin to witness??) said "what's that thing below it?" My jaw dropped.. I replied, "I don't know.." We all watched as this weird object made its way with the satellite in it's path. When it got to almost where it looked like they were going to collide.. BOOM! This thing just went crazy, started doing these violent superfast zig zags around the satellite as if it were threatened!! It did that in an instant, and when it did we all screamed at the same time! Look at what we were witnessing way up in space! And I bet we were the only ones to see it. You had to be looking up at the right place at just the right time. Nothing we have will ever reproduce the swift movements of whatever that thing is/was nor does it make any sense to have such vehicles behave like that. After the zig zag attack on the satellite, the craft went back into it's fish-tailing left to right movement as it went forward, heading West, high above the earth. About a half a second-left and a half a second right is about the pulse it was moving at. It seemed like an inefficiant way of travel. Very alien. We watched it fishtail for about a minute until it was too far away to see anymore. You probably won't believe this, but I had a sighting 2 years prior to this in the same ar! ea! With this sighting I am now fully convinced we are NOT alone in the universe.

When I was a teenager, I was sitting at home alone at my aunt's house and I felt chills up and down my spine. I got up walked into the hallway, and there was an orb in the hallway it was like a ball of electricity you can see electricity moving through it and I saw the object and I heard voices coming out of the object the object move closer and closer flashed and I was knocked out my aunt and her husband found me on the floor in the hallway. Before it flashed. I Heard a Voice inside of it say there she is then I was knocked out.

drive-by close encounter

Leaving Sacramento on HWY 50 going back to Lake Tahoe early Thanksgiving morning aprox. 1:30am as I begin to climb the second set of hills, several miles down the road I notice what looked like a plane or a helicopter slowly circling above the highway at the top of the hill I had yet to climb. It had a searchlight shining down on the cars at the top of the hill much like a search helicopter would normally do. Except as I drove closer to the flying object I soon realized some strange things about it. It was unusual to see helicopters flying outside of Sacramento at that time of night, and I noticed it had no flashing strobe lights whatsoever - only two bright white "wingtip" or "landing" lights. The object became clear to me that this was not a helicopter as it had wingtip lights, however, it moved as slowly as a helicopter. Getting more closer, I think this is a very large and low flying plane with a wingspan of a B-52 or larger. Still, no flashing lights. Now it has turned off it's searchlight and moved to fly along the right side of the highway. At this time I am making my way towards the top of the hill and the object is about to come along side of me on my right side going down the hill as I am driving up the hill. The object is less than 100 feet above ground and about 100 feet out from the road flying slowly just above some power lines that were part of a large Sacramento radio antenna at the top of the hill. "What the hell is that thing?" I kept asking myself. It was too dark to make out anything. It was way too big to be a large plane with just two lights and no strobes flying way to low and slow. It wasn't until I was directly alongside the object, I rolled down my window to see if I could hear any engine noise when I saw enormous light between the wingtip lights. Rows of red, clear, and like a neon purple in tubular sections, and there was purple lightning dancing between the bottom of the object and the ground! I screamed I was so scared because I was so close to it and yet I! had no answer to what it was other than alien being a real possibility. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I honked my horn and tried to get the people in the car passing me to look at it as I waved my hand pointing frantically at it for them to see. Once I had passed along side of it and passed it, I could no longer see the colored lights between the wingtips anymore, only the two white wingtip lights. I tried to pull over but couldn't so had to wait until I reached the top of the hill. I got to the top and pulled over and got out and looked, but it was gone. Shoook my head got back in the car headed home and I saw it again in my rear view mirror. It was just too low to see when I got out. I watched it for as long as I could in the mirror as I drove off in fright. The object stayed on it's course heading for Sacramento, slow and very low to the ground. The entire drive back home was strange, I kept looking up at the sky as I drove thinking there was maybe a mass invasion going on. When I got to Tahoe it was 5:30am. To this day I still have no idea why it took that long to get home. It's only a 2hr. drive. I only stepped out of the car for a minute or two at the top of that hill. I wanted to get a better look at it. I KNOW others had to have seen this but might have thought it was just a plane. If I only had a passenger or a camera at the time. I actually went back one week later during the day and took photos of the site and made documentations for myself.

Controlled Zigzagging Stars

This sighting occurred during the summer of 1968 in Pollack Pines, California. The weather was clear and warm, with no wind activity. My boyfriend and I were parked on a quiet rural road star gazing.

At about 10PM, we both noticed dozens of “zigzagging” stars on the extreme western horizon. Fixated, we watched as these objects danced wildly across the sky. Gradually they moved closer and closer, and by 11:00 PM were almost directly overhead. We had the impression that these objects were observing US with ominous intent.

By this point, we were both absolutely terrified. I remember him yelling “we have to get out of here right now”. He started the car, turned on the headlights, and screeched away.

It left us quite traumatized, and we never returned to that area again.
