The object was rough around the edges, huge moving in a jerky fashion with no clear trajectory all over the sky

The object (there was only one) appeared suddenly. Tonight is the new moon - so it was definitely not the moon, and in any case was much brighter than even a full moon. It was much larger in appearance than the stars. The striking thing was its great brightness and irregular shape and path. It seemed to move arbitrarily with no clear path. The movents were jerky and at varying speeds. It covered the breadth of the sky in its path during the time it was visible. I have clear vision and had not used any mind altering substances. During the time I watched it, it began to take on a more circular shape, with an empty space in the middle

Saw a bright light object with aura

we rented an air bnb in 29 palms, wonder valley. we were in the hot tub for stargazing. a large bright light got closer and closer. as it got very close i could only see it was bright white but no details, no sound. surrounded by a super strange looking fog/aura i can’t explain. my husband even said is that fog or the glow? we were both frozen as it passed over, my phone was dead, his was near but we didn’t move. i moved closer to him a little scared, as it was closer and sort of at maybe drone height you could clearly see this aura and brightness that didn’t make sense. it seemed to pause, and my husband said “is it shining the light on us?” it felt and looked like it was shining its light down on us….but it wasn’t a beam, it’s hard to explain, just brightness. i moved closer to him again, i didn’t want to be scared but again it was like nothing i’ve ever seen. it was close enough to see details, and i feel like it could see us. it slowly moved away further and then disappeared. since then i just want to see it again, if my husband hadn’t of seen it too i would be questioning myself. we don’t drink, and i’ve been in the wilderness quite a bit…..

Metallic disc-like objects that appeared briefly, then vanished.

I noticed a tiny, rectangular cloud in the SW, about 40 degrees above the horizon in an otherwise cloudless sky. The cloud was strange looking, so I took a photo and instantly noticed a very bright, round object appear some distance to the left of the cloud. This object disappeared, and I looked away for perhaps 3-4 seconds. When I looked back, a short, vertical contrail or cloud was fully formed in the same area. This trail was roughly 25 times the length of the small rectangular cloud that was still apparent and intact to its right. I began to take photos of that area of sky, when another bright object appeared briefly to the left of and above the trail. After this object (#2) vanished, another tiny vertical, rectangular cloud appeared some distance beneath that object’s location. The cloud seemed to reverse-fade into existence fully formed, rather than spreading forward as a contrail would do. I called a neighbor who quickly began watching, too. We were discussing the odd trail and tiny rectangular clouds, when another bright object appeared near the trail (#3). Neither of us could switch back to our camera screen fast enough, so there are no images of #3, and no associated cloud or trail formation appeared. After the first photo, #7268, the number sequence skipped to #7272 and then continued in the proper sequence. I’m not sure if photos were taken and are missing, or if the sequence simply skipped those numbers for some technical reason. I was using an iPhone 12. There are 8 photos, but I was only allowed to upload 4. For reference, the first photo shows the first tiny cloud above and to the right of the telephone pole.

Lights above mountain that vanished instantly

Hello at 8:30 pm. my brother and i saw an object/light above the mountains as if you were going to las vegas leaving 29 palms. I noticed the anomaly right after passing the palms restaurant on amboy road. I noticed it because it looked like a star but super bright and the only one. I looked around outside and confirmed it was still light out so no stars were visible yet. I mentioned it to my brother and he said something along the line of it's a planet or star. I told him to keep looking and that it looked as if there were two lights. A smaller one above a much larger light but so close as if they looked like one light. He said if anytime it was twinkling. After that he looked away. No sooner than looking away it just vanished. Just gone as if it was turned off with a light switch, instantly gone. As soon as it disappeared all i could say is " it's gone" (i never looked away after noticing it was the only "star" or whatever it was in the sky) i looked at my brother and his jaw dropped. When it disappeared we had just past the telephone tower next to our home. We pulled over in our driveway and my brother got out his phone and used two apps. One was for looking at stars and planets. Absolutely nothing was in that direction. The next app we used tells us the location of planes and helicopters. There was a jetliner two moutain ranges back but this is not what we saw. We agreed we would continue looking that way until we could see the jet. I ran to my home and charged my phone and called my friend at 8:42 and then 8:46. At first he didnt answer so i texted and called agin. He picked up and my brother and i told him what happened and what we saw. After getting off the phone with him we saw the jet and knew that it was way to high in the sky and it took roughly ten minutes to see the jet. My brother and i both agree that this is something we have never seen before and that it was definitely not a plane. It never moved from the position above the mountains my brother and i both agree on that.

Noticed a bright object floating at high elevation. Appeared small and circular. I noticed it was at a high altitude.

Watched the metallic object slowly fly across the sky at high altitude from west to east.

It was apparent that it was not a small party balloon to me by how it flew without noticeably changing altitude and by the fact I could clearly see it above very high clouds.

Filmed video was able to pull a screen shot picture out of the video. When zoomed in it appears to be a cube with dark objects at the corners.

About 10mi southeast of Marine base, two lights (UFO) slowly alternating red, green. White lights were coming down like spot lights. No helicopter noise. Distance between objects and observer is roughly 5mi. Objects were hovering roughly 500-600ft above a Ridgeline.

I've seen helicopters, these we not helicopters. The movement of the spot lights and of the red and green lights were too fast and erratic to be helicopters.

Bright Orange Sphere above desert clouds

I was on a Southwest fligth from Tucson, Arizona, to Los Angeles, California, on June 11th, 2015. It was 11:30 AM and we were about more than 30 minutes from Los Angeles. I decided to open the window and watch the scenery from the right side of plane. It was all desert. I saw patches of uniformed green squares and realized it was the Arizona California border The Colorado Rriver. A few minutes later it was all desert, sand as far as the eye can see.

Then I noticed a plane was moving from East to West diagonally from top right of window to center of window. Plane was moving fast and thought we were doing the same thing. Then I saw another plane right below us going the same direction but way low compared to us.

All of the sudden a bright orange sphere caught my eye, I close my eyes to make sure it was not some type of illusion. Nope it was there and was about 1/8 to 3/16 in diameter. The sphere was right above the clouds that were 80 plus miles from plane on top left of window. I was trying to take a picture with my cell phone camera but it would not come out right the focusing and how little it was would not look right.

I looked at passenger 2 seats from me and tought of asking for help seeing it but he didn't seemed the friendly type. The sphere just sat there above the clouds not moving. All of the sudden it disappeared.

I continue looking but never came back and plane moved on.

Witnessed a bright white light appear to burst into flame after making a 100 degree turn...

This morning, Thursday 13 Sep, 2012, at 05:20, I was driving to my job on Twentynine Palms Marine Base on Lear Ave., approximately 1 mile North of California 62 Highway when I noticed a bright white light dropping straight down towards the ground ENE of my location.(83 degrees compass heading) It was dropping at a speed which gave the impression that it had a tail. I immediately pulled over to the side of the road and ran to the back of my truck with my cell phone and opened the camera app...

I began taking photos, which I will include with this report, when the object turned approximately 100 degrees, which caused it to be parallel to the ground and climbing slightly at about a 15 degree angle when it suddenly slowed and seemed to be engulfed in fire.

I continued to take photos and watched the object for about 5 more minutes, but had to leave to get to work on time. The object left a glowing trail behind it as it went, which remained until the Sun came over the horizon, about 50 minutes later.

I am guessing that the object was approximately twenty to fifty miles away and traveled about 20 miles to the NE on fire before it either disappeared or stopped... it did not explode...

Later, when I was looking at the photos, I noticed that a second bright white light was following the first... I did not notice this object when I was looking at the event.

I have seen a similar glowing trail when I watched a space shuttle launch from about 100 miles away, except that the glowing trail from the shuttle had a greenish-purple tint while this object's trail was white-ish-yellow.

Other guys on my job also took photos with their cell phones but not as many...

Small UFOs in southern California

About a month ago I was watching the sky & saw what looked like very bright stars moving around. I have seen them in the sky every night since then. Their movements are very jerky, it kind of reminds me of someone learning how to drive a stick shift. They are getting a bit closer each night. I live next to a military base but these objects don't seem to be man-made. However, there have been many new fighter jets showing up on the base. Last night there were at least 20-30 of the UFOs in the sky. They change shape very rapidly & flash different colors, like red & blue. I believe they are emitting Ingram lights, odd colors show up on the camera that weren't visible to the naked eye(my camera has a cheap infrared blocking filter so it's very sensitive to IR lights). I'm emailing some pictures. Please let me know if you would like to see more, I have taken thousands.

Briliant white ball of light moving from West to East in Desert Southwest.

I went out into backyard to put some things away and looked up at the almost full moon. It was then I saw an object of solid bright light round in shape move slowly from West towards the East. I have seen enough aircraft at night in the High Desert and this was nothing I had ever seen before, it was not an ordinary airliner. It was briliant white and did not change in brightness nor did it flash. It did seem to follow a straight path until I could no longer see it. It was not a shooting star or metior as I have also seen enough of them to know this was neither.

Spiraling light falls towards the earth then hovers, makes a 90 degree turn and disappears then reappears 30 mins later not glowing.

It was about 0600 and I was standing over my kitchen sink making my child a bottle. I happened to look out my kitchen window that is over the sink, and something caught my attention. My window faces east, and I'm about 7 miles to the SW of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. What was so intriguing about the sky this morning was that there was a bright light, that appeared to be spiraling towards the ground. If it was to be moving through the sky, it would have been moving an eastern direction, however because of the angle, it looked like the light was making movement towards the ground.

At first glance, I thought it was a plane crash or a shooting start, but then before the light hit the horizon, the light froze in place. The light didn't emit any type of trail. The light was a very bright and was blinking the whole time. What made me think that the light was spiraling was how fast the light moved from right to left.

The light "fell" for about 20-30 seconds before it reached it's "hover".

The light then hovered in place for close to 10 seconds. Following the hover, the light moved quickly to my right, in a southern direction towards Joshua Tree National Park. The light started to get smaller as it moved south towards the park. Then, all of a sudden, it disappeared.

There were no clouds in the sky. A few aircraft could be seen flying in the vapor belt, leaving normal contrails.

About half an hour later, I was standing out in my back yard looking at the sky, trying to figure out what I had seen. I remember counting four visible aircraft (I counted four contrails) when a thin, concave, dark metallic object appeared in the sky slightly higher from where the original light have hovered. If I was to put my had out in front of my face, with my four fingers extended, the shape was about as wide as my four fingers aligned are wide. It was VERY large compared to the size of the aircraft in the sky.

The shape was larger and more pronounced from what I had seen 30 mins earlier, and wasn't "glowing" at first. Then, as suddenly as it appeared, it got incredibly bright, almost like looking at the sun, and took off in an eastern direction VERY quickly.

As soon as the object started moving east, the four aircraft in the sky turned east, it what appeared to be a pursuit and that was the last time that I saw the object or light.

Unexplainable image shows up in photo...

There is not much to tell about the sighting since I did not notice the object for myself It was just two days ago when my mother had brought to my attention that there was something odd in one of the photos I had emailed her. The photo is of the mountain I had just finished climbing. The sky was clear that day. I understand that there is always the possibility that the object's occurance in the photo could have something to do with the camera itself, but I took several other photos that day and none of them have this. I've also taken hundreds of photos since and have searched them for any sign of the image. At the time I took the photo, I was faced southwest. The object would be hoovering over Joshua Tree National Park. I just want to share the photo, and maybe receive an explanation or even just an opinion.

Large rings on dry lake bed visible from the air - photo included

Over the weekend, my partner and I flew a Stearman to Palm Springs. About halfway there, we discovered a hard packed dry lake bed.

Upon looking closer, we noticed two perfect circles (one inside the other) with a line connecting the two. These circles are at least 100 yards across (Maybe much larger; hard to tell).

From the ground we noticed they are not at all visible (we landed to check it out). There was one set of car tire tracks which could easily be seen from the ground and we could see the tracks left from our landing, but these perfect circles were not visible from the ground - only from the air.

We could think of no "reasonable" or logical explanation for these markings.

Also, as the light changed they became harder to see from the air. These were most visible late morning from approximately 500 feet AGL.

concentric circles appearing on a mojave desert lake bed

This is the person who phoned Pete Davenport seeking information for a better location on the salted lake bed that has an odd formation imprinted upon it.

A flight path would be helpful, as I have some pilot maps as well as military mercader grid system maps of the area.

I have equipment that will allow me to measure size, slope, orientation and emr. It is possible (maybe), if deemed necessary on site, to obtain a magnetic flux density measuring device. This would be valuable if and only if there appears to be residual effects of emr.

I will also closely examine the crystalline structure of the salt to see if a possible disturbance caused the crystals to align much the same as metal particles are disturbed by household magnets.

A closer examination will be made if the intial determination shows that these are not atv tracks common to our area.

If the pilot lives either in Palm Springs or Havasu City and would be amenable, he can call me to get me in closer. It would be a good thing for him to locate hwy 62 at it relates to both flight path and cardinal direction to the phenomenon, if he is familiar with it.

Fast moving vehicle with no sound.

It was a friday night boy scout campout. The scouts were all asleep by 11:30pm but I stayed up to enjoying the smog free sky (200 miles east of LA).

At 20 min after midnight I noticed a group of red and white lights, locked together, zooming across the sky at what seemed to be airliner cruise altitude, from east to west.

They seemed to be about twice as wide as the jet's light formations. There was one red light in the middle of the group of white lights denoting a diamond or trianlular pattern. These were much, much brighter lights than those of the jets. The red light did not seem to blink, only 'flutter'.

They seemed to be running at the same trajactories all the east-west airliners were traveling along.

No sound from anything in the sky that night, including the lights in question.

Too late in the night and too fast to be satellites.

The thing that stood out was that these crossed the sky in 30 seconds.** All the other jets took 3 minutes. Thats 6 times faster than the jets: which means that the craft was moving at 6*.85Mach = ~Mach 5 if it was at cruise altitude -OR- If it was closer to the ground the speed may be closer to Mach 1 but I should have heard it either through engine noise or sonic boom.

Deltoid flying wing, dull golden brown bottom, dull off white top, small fuselage area, no propeller, no jets, no sound, wing tip fins, no tail fin, no markings.

First seen hovering, and gently circling very high directly overhead in Twentynine Palms. I was laying on the grass looking up. My 15 year old son saw everything I did. It was tan and wing shaped and seemed to go in and out of vision when looked at directly. Merely a curiosity at this point - it flew with some of the characteristics of a hawk, but was much too high and rigid. I observed it for about fifteen minutes in this holding pattern before it disappeared completely. I left the park and drove towards town. At the corner of Mesquite Springs Road and Twentynine Palms Highway I saw what I believe to be the same object at a very low altitude, maybe 50 feet, flying very slow southbound parallel to Mesquite Springs Road towards me. It was about 100 yards away at this time. I pulled off the road to get a better look because it was very unique looking. It looked kind of like a flying wing, with no tail and no propeller, with a slightly raised fuselage in the center. Golden tan on the bottom and off white on the top, dull with no reflection in the clear desert sun. No markings that I could see. I don't remember seeing any windows, but have an impression of a darker area near the front where you would expect windows. It was somewhat larger than a piper aircraft, and had pronounced fins on the wing tips. When I got out of my truck it was not readily in sight. From the slowness of it I expected to see it right above me. My son pointed it out traveling East above Twentynine Palms and climbing, already about 3 miles away. Very fast. I heard no sound from this craft whatsoever when it turned and accellerated. It passed out of sight in seconds. Visibility-unlimited.

I was on guard duty on a motor pool late at night when i and a number of the marines that were around the area saw jeep start up by itself and a truck and drive threw a gate by itself with no one driving them then we notice a bright light in the sky.we all yell halt but we all seen no one was driven. we all seem to lose our sense of time After this was over the naval investagator or NIS question us they told me they found the vehicles in the desert 20 miles away from the post or base. they could not find any tracks in the desert. they told me to not talk about this incident to any one I heard one of them say we were guarding the gost post. I am sure navl intel. knows more about ufos then they put on. these acted real strange due to apperances also i never seen id from them. I know their was more sightings in and around base at this period of time.

while in the marine corp. I seen two ufo's that looked oval and like chrome and moved together very quik.

while in the marine corp. as a young man I was up on a hill abserving fire missions from aterlery units, when I spoted two bright objects over the moutian range infront of me as I ajusted fire missions they came closer. thats when I heard and seen two jets coming from there right hand side the two ufo's pull back as the two jets continue to apporch I could'nt say how close they were to each other when all of the sudden the just shot up in to the stratusfeir the made those jets look like they were standing still.I called a check fire and they came back with whats your peragative I told them there was ufos in the inpact area. I was told to report to my co after reporting what I seen and I was told that when we are out in the field we seen all kinds of things and that I should not concren myslef with it.

Later that month I was in camp pendelton when out in the field at night after beding down in front of my truck I saw and heard what seem to be a marine heireer with its lights shineing down on me when I pointed my finger at them they took off thats when I knew what I had seen was a marine jet. later I thought to myself that what they were trying to do was make me think that what I seen at in the desrert was a marine heireer. I can say with confidence we do not have anything that moves like what I seen in 29 plams.

I was in the Marines and stationed at Marine Corps Base 29 Palms, CA in the Summer of 1977. I and some friends were at a Drive-In movie located in the town of 29 Palms outside the base. It was pretty late at night. The movie screen was located about 5 feet away on the other side of 5' high wooden fence that surrounded the parking area. I just happened to look off to the upper right hand side of the screen and noticed that something was hovering, with multi-colored blinking lights, above a darkened building, about a mile away on the outskirts of town. (29 Palms, CA) I thought to myself, 'What the heck is a helicopter doing hovering over a building out in town'? I was used to seeing all kinds of helicopters on the base.

I then noticed that it continued to hover, there was no sound or sand being kicked up. It appeared to be a ball of multi-colored blinking lights. I couldn't discern a shape. I absent mindedly started walking towards the fence to get a better look. I then noticed that many other people in the Drive-In saw it too and got out of their cars. The UFO then started to rise straight up, silently. It did not flair out at an angle like a helicopter would. It kept going up until it appeared to be the size and color of a star. It then started zig-zagging across the sky while still going up, until it finally disappeared.

I found out later that at the same time, people located on the other side (to the left of the screen) of the drive-in area, saw two UFO's hovering over a mountain, located to the left of the screen. They reported that the 2 UFO's they saw, also rose straight up, silently, and zig-zagged while going up until they were out of site. I thought to myself, 'I have to call the Base and tell someone!' But I didn't have any idea as to who to call. We all talked about it the next day. I called a friend, who now lives in N. Carolina, after 25 years and he still remembered the incident.
