Fast yellow light zigzagged from meadow to parking lot

I was camping in the upper panther Meadows parking lot. I was stargazing for about a half an hour and I saw a few planes and falling stars. It was Friday night so I also saw some headlights coming up the mountain. After a while the traffic seemed to calm down. I was sitting in my chair with a wide open gaze upward looking at the Milky Way. Then, Out of the corner of my right eye I saw a yellow light which I thought was another headlight or a flashlight. When I lowered my head to look, I saw a very fast light zigzag once. It was yellow. It came out of panther Meadows tree line. Crossed the highway past me and went into the mountain on the other side of the parking lot. It took between 1 and 2 seconds and looked like a yellow zigzag light. It was so fast that I am not sure if it was an orb. It was about 30 ft above the ground.

20+ star-like, spread out objects moving in unison

At the Bunny Flat parking lot on Mount Shasta, a woman I had just met alerted me to look into the night sky (it was about 5:30 PM and the sun had set about 1/2 hour or so before). What we saw was about 20 star-like objects moving from the east to the west. They were moving faster than satellites that I have seen before and several of them were in a v or triangle formation. There were a couple rouge ones too that were going west to east and then one that was going north to south. But the general movement was in unison and not in a straight line. It almost looked the stars just started moving to the west and then stopped or vanished. All the Starlink satellite info that I have read says that they move in a line formation but these weren't. There were several of us that saw this and we were all just visiting the mountain for the day.

String of lights at low altitude moving about 50 mph, 8000’ altitude north to south. Sound of small prop engine faintly.

On or about October 11th, 2019 a small group of friends gathered around 9 pm to watch the nearly full moon rise above a forested ridge in the Trinity Mountains just west of Mt Shasta, CA. We had binoculars, warm jackets, Apple Cider (non alcoholic) and fresh baked apple and pumpkin pie. While we were watching the moon rise in a southeasterly direction, we were looking at some developing vapor trails from high altitude jets flying the routes up and down the heavily traveled west coast. While doing this we noticed a string of lights (no vapor trail) that seemed to be at a fairly low altitude and headed from north to south over the mountain range we were on. These lights were not very bright and seemed like they were attached to a structure of some sort that was very long and narrow but not linear, the lights seemed to be adjacent to each other or within a cubist framework. It seemed to be probably a hundred meters long and one or two wide, not knowing the exact altitude made it very difficult to judge its size. We could hear a faint sound like a small piston engine turning a prop, making me think it was a drone towing something. It must have been going 50 mph or so. There were no lights that we could see that looked like aircraft ID lights. We were at an elevation of about 5500’ overlooking Mt Shasta city to the East x northeast of us. Our first sighting was to the northwest at about 80 degrees, the angle decreasing to about 60 degrees as they got out of sight to the southwest of us.

Multi-colored light witnessed on Castle Lake Mount Shasta, CA.

My girlfriend and I were up at Castle Lake, located above the city of Mount Shasta, we go swimming and hiking up there in the summer and we were curious to see if it was still frozen over from the winter, and if the trails were clear of snow yet. There’s still a lot of snow pack so you can’t get up above the lake very easily, and most everybody had cleared out of there by the time the sun went down. As far as I know we were the last people to leave, and it was almost dark.

As we were walking back from the shore towards our car, we heard a weird, low humming sound coming from the lake. It was the kind of thing you might not even normally hear, except there was no noise or people or wind up there at all when it started. We turned around and saw a flashing multi-colored sphere of light hovering about 50 feet off the lake, further towards the back of the lake near the cliff wall.

We both saw it at the same time and wondered if it was some kind of flare hanging in the air, but it didn’t look fiery and it wasn’t smoking.

My friend was wondering if it was the light of a climber on the cliffs, but we could see light strobing off of the sphere and flashing against the cliff wall so it was definitely hovering in the air and throwing off light around it.

It lasted for only a few seconds then it vanished again, along with the humming sound. We weren’t freaked out by it or anything, but we’re still not sure what we saw that evening.

3rd sighting of a tube/cigar shaped craft flying South to North, the 1st being stationary over Mt. Shasta City.

I live in Mt. Shasta, California. I am about 60 miles from the Oregon border.

About two weeks ago, I saw a cigar or tube shaped craft flying northward, and my eyes and my daughter followed it for about 5, or so, minutes duration, until out of sight over the Mountain.

I saw the same kind of craft last year that was somewhat higher in the sky this this latest one. Oddly enough, they both took the same flight path though a year apart. South to the North and out of sight. Both days I/we saw this, it was a clear blue sky with the sun behind us. We used binoculars on the first one, from last year and I will attached a picture of that one.

I can't embed the picture with this report as the computer says I'm missing some DLL file. I will send it separately using my name and today's date.

This year’s sighting was of the same type of craft, same flight route. Low enough to get over the 14,000 foot mountain and not much more. At no time during either sighting, there were no wings visible during the whole sighting, which literally was watched from the south to the north. No flashing lights on either sighting. No noise was heard. It wasn’t flying that fast.

No tail rudder, no wings, no exhaust, no noise, no windows, no writing on it, no flashing lights or a hint of wings in the sun at any time produced a sight other than a tube or cigar shaped flying craft.

It should be noted that both of these sightings were to the east side of the regular planes normal N/S flight routes. I would think that during either of these sightings, there must have been regular planes that saw it, being in the regular N/S flight area.

So to recap last year and this year I , and others saw this tube/cigar craft flying N/S air routes, with the object this year was higher than the 2nd one.

I also have seen this same type of craft fairly up close and personal when I was when I was 6. It should be noted that this first sighting was over the old drive in movie theater, and was HANGING STATIONARY with a tilt like this: /. I’d guess by the size of the trees now, that it was no more than 2 to 3 hundred feet in the air, not moving or drifting, again no sound, windows, writing or any burnt marks (as my dad showed me a paragraph it made in the Sacramento Bee, which claimed it was space junk falling to earth) That was absolutely not the case, even though it was about 1966 at that time, I had watched many rockets lift off as we enjoyed watching together. So I had an idea of what a regular rocket vs plane looked like at that time. I noticed many cars pulling off the road to watch this thing hanging the air at a such a low altitude, and not falling, flying, or moving at all. This was at the junction of HWY 89 where it enters I-5. Lots of cars pulled off the road to wat! ch. It actually got a bit boring to me as a kid, it wasn’t doing anything but hanging there and we finally left. So I told my Dad about it. After a few days, he showed me a newspaper report on the sighting which reported it as falling space junk.... I said no Daddy, that’s not right. It wasn’t falling and there were no words on it, it was silver, not white, and no burn marks on it. My mother and younger sister were with me. My sister does not remember it.

When I made the report of this first sighting, there was only 1 pilot who had also made a report of seeing this tube/cigar, in the air while he was flying in the area.

Attached is the picture of the one I saw last summer. It is just like the one from a few weeks ago, same S to N flight, only higher than the one a few weeks ago.

716 976 un-believable mount Shasta Started the day with a hike and a prayer. Reached some 12,000 feet. Shimmied down. Looked for communication. Had burritos at bunny flats. Drove downhill and saw a series of triple shaped red lights, that blink each second......and many white lights down the hill. Those may be cars, parked and looking too. Went down a few feet, quarter mile, and the first two campers were dim. Saving gas. Still see the red lights. Appear to be a circular shape. Tried to photo them, but couldn't capture. Was able to capture lights down the hill.

They are still there, (July 17th, evening around midnight) and have changed the flashing to a gentle dissolve. I counted seven sets, horizontally, bu now there seem to be more, and slightly smaller. The ship is to the southeast....beyond the forests and seen through the tree line, above the tree line, but down from a steep viewpoint......this is a ship. A pleiedians ship. I said and say, thank you.

Earlier driving up mountain, around eight, a black bear ran across road and up hill, the opposite direction of ships presumed location.

Appears to hav e changed angels, though spell checker said angels. God is here.

They are red with a tint of orange. There has been occasional lightning, in the same sky view.

There was a dense cloud cover, in that area, earlier, as I drove up the mountain, towards, Bunny Flats.

White lights hovering and then dimming in sequence

I am an airline captain. My co-pilot and I were on our way from LAX-PDX at FL 380 and we were in the Mt. Shasta area. It was a smooth flight and very little ATC communications were going on. We decided to look out and up at the night sky for falling stars and or satellites passing over head.

We were heading about 310 degrees and to our 2 o'clock high, maybe 50 degrees up from the horizon I noticed 2 brighter than normal stars and mentioned to my co-pilot that I didn't remember ever seeing those 2 stars that were brighter than the surrounding stars in the background. The 2 lights were approximately an inch apart in the windscreen and the size if normal stars. Just as I said that one of the "stars" just dimmed out over about a 10 second time span followed by the other one dimming out completely in about 10 seconds also.

The stars, now obviously lights we not in motion, they were not satellites and were not falling stars. They were as stationary as th! e stars in the background. We were flying in crystal clear skies and were not flying though any clouds whatsoever. These 2 lights were not following the typical west to east orbital path as most satellites do and were just sitting there kind of like ships hiding in plain sight.

The altitude of the lights appeared to be outside of the atmosphere. We were flying at 38,000, approximately 7 miles up and these were at least 100,000 feet up. The thing was they were extremely bright and not moving. Mankind does not have craft that can fly at that altitude and not be moving.

Cigar shaped craft going North to South over Mount Shasta, California 9/2014

Sometime between 9/11/2014 and 9/27/2014, I was out in my back yard at the table with two friends. I looked up and became aware that the approaching “jet” in the N/S flight route, did not appear to have wings.

So I said something to my friends, who seemed unimpressed.. and kept on talking. It was fairly high and I had time to go in the house and get my binoculars and camera. I looked through the binoculars and said, yep, no wings, and again tried to get my friends interested, to no avail.

I then got the camera out and I had to zoom all the way out. Took a picture when it was closer and about to start going away.

It was to the extreme east hand side of the regular N/S flight route. I don’t know why my friends would not get interested. I don’t know why I forgot the sighting until I was looking back through photos and came across it.

Funny thing is, everything before it is date stamped, and everything except the one right next to it, is date stamped. There is a gap from 9/11 to 9/27.

No lights, no windows, no writing, dark colored. Just came into sight, flew by, and out of sight.

Total duration: 5 to 7 minutes? No sound. No other aircraft seen.

2:30 pm. 7/28/14. I just witnessed an object in the sky in Mt. Shasta, CA. The location was at Lake Siskiyou camp resort. I witnessed the object from the beach looking out the window of my cooking truck.

The object looked like a piece of mercury or metal drop in the sky. The object was reflective but it wasn’t from lights coming from the object. It looked like it was reflecting the sun. The object looked out of place which caught my eye.

I stared at the object for about 15 seconds. It didn’t move like an aero plane or helicopter. It moved like a mouse on a computer screen but in a perfect straight line.

I was losing sight of the object from the window, where I'm at the sky is wide open. At is a partly cloudy day, but there were no clouds in the path of the object.

I ran outside to try and track the object. When I ran around the corner to look in the direction of Mt. Shasta where it looked like the path in the sky that the object was traveling it was gone.

At the speed that the object was traveling I still should have been able to see it in the sky if it was a plane or helicopter. It was just gone.

The object made no noise. It just looked out of place like it wasn’t flying in the sky but almost like it was a fly on a TV screen, part of the view you’re looking at but not in the screen?

I looked around at all of the people on the beach, but it didn’t look like anyone was looking up at the sky.

This is my 4th object I’ve seen in this area that I would say is a UFO. First one I’ve seen in the day.

6-22-13 approximately 3:30 am Looking southward (from the north) at Mount Shasta A big round white light appeared to enter our atmosphere, travelling rapidly at a 45 degree angle, toward the mountain, and slowing down as it disappeared from my view, behind the south side at mid-level of the mountain. Lights on Black Butte in Mt. Shasta, CA in an area not accessible to humans or animals in symmetrical lines.

My boyfriend and I were driving back to our house in Mt. Shasta, CA 96067 from Weed, CA at about 9:00PM on 08/03/11 when we got to Truck Village Drive (our exit south bound on I5) and noticed bright lights on the mountain Black Butte (a pilot cone that is almost straight up and down).

We stopped the car and got out to look and realized that the lights were not coming from anything we could explain, and it was nowhere near the trail that goes up the mountain. It was about 300 yards up from the base of the mountain in a rock valley (lava rock) that is not accessible to humans, or animals.

The lights were in a symmetrical line and very bright, and white, and not moving or flickering. We raced home (about a 5min drive from the Truck Village Drive exit) and grabbed our binoculars. We returned to the same spot and the lights were still there.

When viewing through our binoculars we could see that there was a perfectly horizontal line of about 4 lights and directly in the middle going diagonal (the line falling from left to right) were three more lights very clear. It kind of looked like a cross of some sort. We stayed there for a long time looking at it through the binoculars and it did not move. We got home at about 9:45PM and called the local police and sheriff’s department to see if maybe they heard anything about those lights, if there was a lost hiker by chance, etc. but they didn’t know anything about it and acted like we were wasting their time. My boyfriend and I have lived here for 12 years, have hiked that mountain before many times and have never seen anything like it before. We can’t explain how it got there or what it was, except that it most likely is a UFO. The lights were exactly the same size, brightness and just too symmetrical to be done by anyone.

In the eastern sky, more easr than south east of Mt. Shasta, moving back and forth VERY slowly, unsure of that distance of movement, with beautiful lights outlining the entire structure which was many, many feet high-the lights stayed on, but pulsating in a pattern of red-pink-white-yellow-blue-green around the bottom of the craft and along the structural outline. It reminded me of the deep sea jellyfish that glow-the outline and tentacles shine with their own light. I also observed it splitting into two separate objects, like watching a cell divide. The skies were totally clear,with a bright moon-one night short of a full moon. The craft had an oval shaped bottom, with a round, tall, beehive shaped body to the structure. The object was in the sky for a very long time, in fact was still there when I went to bed an hour later.

A light over Mt Shasta that went within itself.

A light that went within itself?

The light lit up the entire face of the mountain. So I can't say it was a ship, its beyond any concept of a ship. As I sat on Mt Shasta at the highest parking lot around midnight, I was with another man who was star gazing when I arrived. We both looked up at the peak of the mountain, and suddenly, within a split second, a circle of light came on and off, what appeared to be perhaps 1000ft above the peak, in that split second, it totally lit up the entire face of the mountain, no shadows, and went off just as quickly. What was strange, I remember that when it went off, "it went within itself", swallowed itself? I know it sounds strange, but I've not told anyone but my wife. All I know about the man up there that night was that he was from Reno NV. I noted his name somewhere, I could find it if neccesary.

low flying, dark, large car sized triangle with rectangle dim lights

It was just about dark when I was on my back porch hanging out clothes. I was looking up as if viewing the 3 story apartment house's roof to the NW of me. Right over my head flew a dark triangle just over my back porch and the roof of the 3 story apartment building. It was a short view due to the size of the building NW (next lot)of me and not quite fully dark yet. A more detailed map with drawing will be submitted as an update when I can. It came into my view as it passed over my head look toward and above the 3 story apartment building NV of me. It was a dark, triangle craft, about the size of an old caddilac car. There were dim, rectangle shaped lights from the point to the back, but not across the back. Stranger yet was that there was one more light on the left size than the right side, like one light was out. It was about a 4/5 second sighting. I won't forget it. I screamed for my roommate to come see, then passed him on my way back through the house to get outside to try and see past the bigger building. A street light, made further viewing impossible, past the larger building. It was moving along 15/20 mph basically paralelling I-5 from North Mt Shasta, towards, if it kept along that flight line, to the NW of Black Butte, to the town of Weed, Ca. I would think that cars on I-5 may have been able to see it. I didn't think until later that I should have called Weed PD to look for it coming. There was no noise, no engine seen, and it was too slow and quiet to be any sort of military or regular small plane I've ever seen.

Three or four lights appeared to play leapfrog. At any given moment there were three stationary lights in the sky, however, as one light went out another light would instantly reappear just opposite the two remaining lights. I would estimate that the lights were about 20 to 30 yards apart from one another. The sequence occurred about five times for a period of about 10 seconds. It was a moonless night with the only nearby town far in the distance. The lights appeared to be less than two miles away and fairly near to the hilly horizon. On this night the lights were brighter than Mars and about the same color of yellow. We waited approximately 30 minutes and another event of the same phenomenon occurred in a distant location. This second occurrence was higher in the sky and at a different angle to the first. The leapfrog event continued about 5 times for a period of about 10 seconds. We were camping on the eastern slope of Mt. Shasta at an elevation of about 8000 feet.

Mount Shasta light phenomena observed in brightly lit meadow in broad daylight for 5 minutes

I saw a single stationary light change from red to orange to yellow to green and finally blue. This occurred in a brightly lit meadow near the summit of Mt. Shasta at about 4:30 in the afternoon. The light was intense, pure, and very small (about dime sized). It appeared in front of the trunk of a Spruce tree not more than 100 feet away, slightly above head level (about 6 feet up). The light would slowly transition from one solid color to the next, and then it would remain an intensely bright pure color for about a minute before slowly transitioning to the next color. I approached the tree and examined the trunk, limbs and foliage. I could find nothing that could have emanated that sort of light. I toyed with the idea of pitch oozing slowly out and while solidifying changed the reflected color, but the pitch I observed was cloudy white and in huge dried clumps. The pitch was to the right of the location of the light I pinpointed while using binoculars (I observed the light with the naked eye and binoculars). I had a camera and didn't use it; I couldn't see the light in the viewfinder. The light could only be viewed in one direction, and as I approached the tree, the light would disappear. I have no idea of where the source of the light was in relation to the distance between me and the tree except that it was in front of the trunk about 6 feet above ground level as viewed from ground level.

With regard to the lights on Shasta, unfortunately I have no theories as to what the lights were. Here is the whole boring story:
I was asleep in the meadow when I opened my eyes to find a red light shining into them. I closed my eyes, thinking "Oh its just a reflection from tensile on the tree", thinking better of that, I reopened them to find the light changing from red to orange. I sat up and thought that was strange. When I sat up the light disappeared, so I lay back down and discovered that the light was directional. I had to be careful how I moved to keep the light in view. The 'now orange' light was intense and pure and I couldn't write it off as a reflection. I stared at it for awhile, enjoying the beauty of it; then it started transitioning to yellow. Well that really piqued my curiosity. As the light grew in intensity and purity to a very bright lemon
yellow, I took out my binoculars and isolated the position on the tree where it appeared to be coming from. I stood up to investigate but discovered that I was ill. I had a hard time going to the tree as waves of nausea were sweeping over me. As I approached the tree, I lost sight of the light as I was no longer in it's line of site, for the moment I was sure that an examination of the tree would yield the answer. At the tree, I couldn't find anything that could cause it except for maybe pitch, but the pitch was in the wrong location and none of it was fresh. I went back to my original position on the ground and found the light transitioning from yellow to green. I admired the green light for awhile and tried to take a picture of it, since I couldn't find it in the viewfinder I gave up. I tried again to find the source, to no avail. When I returned again to my original position, the light had transitioned to blue. Again I tried to approach the tree this time keeping the light in sight, but as soon as I'd get close, I'd loose the light. When I returned to the original position to regain it, the light was gone. Although I said the whole thing lasted 5 minutes, it could have been longer. I had time to sit and stare at it, take out binoculars and stare at it, run back and forth to the tree, and finally tried to get a picture of it. The camera I had was just a digital camera-not my camcorder. My camcorder would have been able to zoom in on the light no problem as it has a fantastic zoom. The camera I had with me doesn't have a very good zoom. I regret that I didn't take pictures anyway, as it may have shown up in the picture. At this point, my guess would be pretty far out at to what it could be. I have the impression that some unseen person or thing was standing there shining lights in my eyes.

UFO / strange object caught on web-camera

Peter, My wife checks a web-camera that is focused on Mt. Shasta, California -everyday. It takes still shots and then puts them together in the form of an .Mpeg files (size 520K). We used to live up there and we love the mountain and surrounding scenery. It brings back lots of memories. ANYWAYS, when ((name deleted)) checked the .mpeg movie for yesterday (5-24-00), there was a strange object to the right of Mt. Shasta in the film -near it's beginning. Each frame is taken 10 minutes apart from each other for a daily movie of 102 frames. It looks to me like an upside-down tear shaped object that is spinning. You see it in frames that have no clouds and in frames with clouds. AND it is moving in a northeasterly direction while the clouds are clearly moving in a SOUTHeasterly direction. MULTIPLE METERORS LEAVING NORMAL TRAILS, WHITE/RED BLINKING LIGHTS BOTH SIDE BELOW SHASTA PEAK FOR SEVERAL HOURS. ABT 1200 A STRANGE ANOMOLY OF INTERFEARENCE TO STAR FIELD OVER ABT 5 DEG.BY 10 DEG. FOR 30 SEC. LIKE LOOKING THROUGH HEAT WAVE. ABT 12:30 A SLOW MOVING ORANGE FIREBALL ABVT 500FT AGL MOVING NW. While walking dog along RR tracks my brother and I witnessed five fast moving craft in the eastern sky. Several of the craft headed for the Mtn.

Lights which looked just like stars (IE: not blinking) crossed over our visual horizon in the Eastern sky. We observed three commercial jetliners in the same field of vision while we were observing these lights. There is no possible way for them to have missed them. Concurrently we observed almost from the start of our paying attention several lights on the MTN itself that were in places were no vehicles can travel. From the distance we were observing there was in our opinion no way for the lights to be hikers (brightness, weather conditions in the area-high winds, cold temps) As stated three of the moving stars dissapeared on the MTN. two of the moving lights crossed in parallel fashion while a commercial jetliner was headed north. Of the three commercial jets two went N>S, one went E>W OF the five fast moving lights three went ESE>E and disappeared on the MTN The other two went north and south respectively. We were in near complete darkness (very little ambeint light.)((name deleted)), my brother was the one who called in, I am visiting on vacation. I live in Seattle, I listen to Art Bell, I am very skeptical, but the facts remain: we saw exactly this. It is entirely true. I love my privacy, I am willing to talk to you in person or over the phone when I return this weekend but I am guarded about my privacy. You were the first person I thought of. Metallic cigar shaped object, windowless, soundless, motionless, unlighted, daytime/clear blue sky sighting over old Drive-in movie theater at the junction of Hwy 89 at Interstate 5. Very low in the air, 500? It just hung there, sort of tilted to one side. Many cars and people stopped and watched as this object. All NB/SB traffic on I-5/Hwy 89, people of Dunsmuir and Mt. Shasta MUST HAVE SEEN THIS!

I was a 5 or 6 year old child at the time. We were returning to Mccloud from Mt. Shasta via Hwy 89 at the I-5 interchange. My mother pulled over at the entrance to the Drive-In Movie theater and I saw other cars stopped and people outside of them looking up into the sky. I remember my mother being awed, and all the others who were watching. This cigar shaped, metallic, windowless, soundless, unlighted object was hanging, slightly tilted, in the clear blue afternoon sky. I know this was the time frame because I remember the sun was behind us as I looked up at it. I was not overly impressed (at that age) but I could tell the adults were. My dad and I always watched the space shots, I remember him telling me the news said it was some type of satelite or rocket part falling from the sky. But it never fell, or moved at all. I remember even as a small child I knew this was not true and wondered why this explanation was given. I do not know the duration of the event. It was actually rather boring after you got over the shock of this strange thing in the sky.

Eventually we quit watching and drove on home. I do not know the duration of the event but estimate it as 30 minutes +, (about that time is all we watched but it was there when we went on, still hanging. I have always wanted to speak to others who witnessed this, especially those older than myself (I'm 39 now) I wrote this because of seeing other, similar descriptions in other locations during 1964/65 ish. I will send a map, by mail. I have not looked for microfished newpaper coverage. Many, many people had to have observed this object as it was in a very visible, high traffic area being over the interchange of Hwy 89 at I-5 on a very clear, sunny day. The sun was not in the same part of the sky, it was in the west, behind anyone looking at the object. It was most directly over the Drive-In Movie theater/Mott Airstrip in the triangle shaped area NE of the Hwy 89 at I-5 junction.
