Observed star like lights in the sky grow bright then disappear many times. Dozens would move in groups or individually.

I am a security guard at a dam with 8 years of time served in the U.S. Army. I’m an E-6 in the Army Reserve who holds a secret clearance. Witness 2 is a lieutenant at the dam.

At precisely 307 AM, I was traveling by vehicle across the dam. I observed a light to the north which was of equal brightness to the North Star. I exited the vehicle at the center of the dam and noticed that two more lights had appeared above and below the original “star”. None of the lights were moving. The lights then faded and reappeared at different times, not synchronized with each other. I then finished crossing to the East side of the dam where I contacted my lieutenant and we looked together. During this time, with our bare eyes we witnessed some lights get bright then fade and some began to move, some in groups some as individuals. Some would disappear while moving, some would stop and remain lit before fading. This is when we decided they were not satellites seeing as how their movements did not match that of a satellite. At this point there were approximately 6 lights we could actively see.

My lieutenant brought night vision lenses and through these we were able to observe many more lights that were not visible to our bare eyes. It’s important to note that throughout the duration or this, we thought some were simply just stars until they began moving and we realized how many there actually were. It seemed the longer we observed, the more we noticed. The lights seemed to like groups of triangles that were more obtuse and not perfect triangles. There were about 6 or 7 groups of triangles. They also sat in groups of 4 but not in perfect squares. I only observed 2 groups of 4. I viewed two that appeared to drop something at a great speed. The dropped “objects” would have looked like “shooting stars” had they not come directly from the moving lights. While moving the dropped “objects” would rapidly light up and disappear at a much greater speed than the other lights. Both my lieutenant and I both viewed one light that was bright like the others and slow moving but seemed to have an orb or beginning of some tail around it as if it were entering the atmosphere and meeting with extreme heat. This seemed like just a light to the naked eye but using night vision you could see the orb around it.

My lieutenant left me the night vision and returned to his duties at this point and I then used my phone to record through night vision. I have approximately 16 total minutes of footage through the night vision. I am aware that some moving lights observed may be satellites, but many were not. Having irregular movements. These lights were observed north but stretched from East to West. Most appeared in the East but that is mostly where I was observing since that was the original area I had seen the lights. I have video of multiple going from still to moving, gaining brightness and fading and one that appeared to drop something. This anomaly continued until the Sun appeared and there was nothing visible in the sky once this happened.

Large, BRIGHT "bobbing" light across sky disappeared behind? Mountain

My fiance, his dad, and I were visiting my fiance's cousin and her boyfriend in Shasta. After we returned from dinner, we sat out on their porch to look at the stars for about an hour and a half, from about 11 pm to about 1230 am. We were facing Mt Shasta, looking in a Northeasterly direction. We saw the milky way really clearly, a couple of satellites, a plane, and a few small shooting stars. Then a few minutes after midnight, a single, very bright white light (brighter than any star, satellite, or plane we saw that night), entered into our view coming from the N/NW direction (to our left). It was oscillating (going up and down). It moved like you might expect a drone to move (kind of jerky, constantly adjusting its altitude) but it was SO much bigger. So bright we could see it clearly from almost 10 miles away. It was gradually descending, all the time bobbing up and down. From our perspective, it was going slowly. If we were watching a car for example, I would have estimated it as going about 5 mph? It was slow. We didn't know what it would do as it lowered to the mountain, but when it reached the silhouette of the mountain, the light went out. It looked as if it either landed on the mountain or went behind it. It did not ascend again. We waited outside for another half an hour but didn't see anything else. None of us could understand what it was. All of us were completely sober (we don't drink, and none of us were intoxicated in any way at all, and only had mint tea and cookies after dinner). Three of us were not from Shasta. It was our first time visiting. My fiance and I are about 40, my fiance's dad is 70, and my fiance's cousin and her partner are 65. The latter two believe in UFOs; they live in the area. My fiance and I had never seen a UFO and weren't looking for one while we sat outside that night. And my fiance's Dad is a chemist and is totally skeptical, but even he couldn't think of anything to explain it.

Some lights were brighter than others, randomly fading in and out and then it just disappeared. It seemed really close, a lot closer than the stars. Then, after they were gone, random blinking lights in various parts of sky for about a minute after. It was similar looking to the starlink

September 23, 2018 Sighting of object approximate 7:00 p.m.

I noticed what I first thought was a speck of a cloud (as others were to the left of it) straight out my living room window which faces directly West. It was very well lit, as the other clouds also were, and held my attention. I then started to notice it was moving downward instead of off to the left like the other clouds were doing.

I went and got a pair of binoculars and when I looked at it, I could see it had a “tail” and appeared to be a comet! I got my camera and began taking pictures of it, calling my husband,to come and look at it.

In all I have 9 photos. The first is take normally. I then started zooming in hoping that the image would be easier to see or identify. From the time I first saw it, approximately 7-10 minutes had passed.

I have since looked on-line for any reports of an object in the sky, or astronomical sites reporting comets, or any other such thing. I have been unable to find any other mention of this object.

I will be emailing the photos along with a map of Calif showing approximate where I was, and where I saw the object move in a downward path until it went behind the mountain.

My husband and I are both retired. We have lived and worked in the Redding area for the past 30 years, give or take. This is the first time I have ever seen something unusual in the sky and the fact that I was unable to find any reports of it yet has peaked my interest!!

In the night , we were outside doing evp sessions when a light grabbed our attention and brought more smaller lights.

It was late night, i was 17 years old, with a friend, we were planning on doing a evp session for fun, exploring open things , so we went to the benches at a rv park in the the clearing, when eventually he decided to show me a picture of a “ star “ on his phone. I was like okay whatever, because i was more interested in the evp session rather than his picture. So then It caught my attention, by seemingly growing bigger in the sky , then as i was looking, many lights came out of it and then one zipped right over us at an instant, it was very bright with electric looking static touching everything around us, and a thunder-like sound came shortly after. It was hovering over us slowly but fast if that makes sense, then it almost instantly zipped back up and right back into the star in the sky and that star went back in place like normal but it was not twinkling ever. He had his mouth openish the whole time , and right after it went back, he turned to me and said in a robotic emotionless way “ i am tired, i am going to sleep now “ and walked to his house in a weird robotic way.

So then my reaction was like okay… then i began walking home in the dark trying to understand what i just encountered, i began assessing movies ive seen and trying to relate to them , overthinking about it. I couldnt sleep because i was still trying to understand it rather than sleep.

Another time shortly after, on new years that year going into 2017 , everyone was partying at that park we were at , and me and another friend were walking to my house in the dark alone, and we wanted to play games then suddenly we just randomly had the feeling right after to just walk back to the park so we did , then as we were walking we can see a bigish shadow of a man walking across the street near the corner and we assume its my dad because hes a big guy, but as we got closer he was gone and we dismissed it. Then as we turned the corner and began walking up the hill. We decidedly to turn around and we saw the man looking at us. I didnt see specific details of his dna features or whatnot but i did see him turning at us in the dark with the moonlight with my friend who remembers too, and that man took out a light that was a bright cord , but the light didnt light anything around but it was very bright, and instantly he vanished. We then reacted by looking at eachother saying what the F**** and he ran and I followed.

Two storys, im welcome to take lie detector tests. It’s probably important details and information. The man was definitely observing us.

3 bright red lights seen traveling over Shasta Lake City then suddenly disappearing one right after the other

At 22:05 on March 31, 2016, I was driving SW on Ashby Rd in Shasta Lake City, CA. I looked to the eastern sky and saw a bright red light, traveling west, larger than any aircraft light I had seen before.

All of a sudden a second one appeared following behind the first. At that time I pulled to the shoulder of the road so that I wouldn't lose sight of them. A few seconds later the third one appeared following behind the other two.

I continued to watch as one by one each of them disappeared as they reached the very exact spot I counted approx. ten seconds between each light disappearing.

The bright red lights bring fireball to mind, however, they didn't move exceptionally fast, except in appearing and disappearing

Multiple nights we have seen a circle shaped object fly from west to east in the northern sky, it is always after 22:00.

As I go out to smoke my last cigarette of the night, I enjoy looking at the sky. Lately, more nights than not, there is a circle light in the sky. It moves rapidly across the sky in an easterly direction, it seems to come from south of Mt. Shasta and heads toward Lassen.

Traditional aircraft have also been seen on every occasion, they head up from the south and just as they cross paths, (traditional plane at an obviously lower altitude) the circle craft begins to dim and then totally disappears.

This craft has only been seen (by our family) between 10 pm and 11:30 pm. Once the craft is spotted I typically have time to alert the family and get them out there to watch for a couple of minutes so I think it lasts at three minutes each night that it is there.

I looked and saw that the object in quetion reflected light like it was made of metal...it was flying in a circular pattern for @5min...then it started to very slowly fly to the north of the sighting...it was silverish white in color..and I couldn't tell the shape..but the refracted light made it look like a circular craft...it was hard to tell exactly the shape…

Watched a bright, spherical light with a long contrail for a few seconds. It didn't seem to move. While wondering if it was a plane at a very high altitude or not, it disappeared. I was traveling to california and was around midnight. I saw a flying object that was a bright light and i said to myself that looks like a UFO. It then came down over the top of the trees and followed me for over an hour. It dropped a flare like lazer bluish-white down in front of my car to get my attention but they didnt know they already had it. I was not scared because this happened to me going over the 84 bridge in Palo Alto, Ca. That time they dropped a green laser light in front of my car on a sunday morning at 0745 am. Anyway I stopped to get gas and to told the station guy what just happened with the laser light dropping in front of my car. I tried to play it off as a falling a star but told him it dropped from the top of the trees. He smiled at me and said the same thing happened earlier that evening with him at the station. He told me they are around there on a daily basis. So i got in my car and left and within a few hours I was so sleep! y i pulled over and fell asleep sitting stright up in a car for over an hour. Thats it. Dont remember anything else that night.

Very large, bright white light, not moving, vanished when I looked away.

At approximately 11:10PM CDT, on Tuesday 11/1/11, I was working at a rural location in the Texas Hill Country, on a high hilltop near a location off of FM 1323 & Big Sandy Rd. near Round Mountain, TX. approximately 6-7 miles West of Hwy. 281. The sky was clear, around 60 degrees and a 10-15 mph wind.

As I was leaving the location, I had placed some equipment in my truck and noticed a very large, bright white light to my South, towards Johnson City. It did not compare with Venus, Saturn, or any other planetary object. It resembled aircraft landing lights, but 5-6 times larger, and about 30 degrees above the horizon, but appeared to be maybe only 1-2 miles from me. It was the size of a dime at arms length. It had the flickering illusion you see with aircraft on approach, but it wasn’t far enough away for that.

From this location, there are absolutely no airports, hospitals, etc to allow for low aircraft, and I have never seen a light like this. I watched it for about 15 seconds, and it didn’t appear to be moving. I foolishly turned my back on it to lock a gate to the location I was leaving, and in that 5-6 seconds, when I turned back around it was simply gone. I had a wide open view of sky, and no where for it to have gone. It had either just “turned off”, went quickly up or down, or zoomed off while I wasn’t looking. The sky was empty of any aircraft what so ever. Only stars and a ¼ moon setting about 60 degrees to the right (West).

While I do not consider this a major or impressive sighting, only a very strange light, what does bother me is how it left me feeling. I am usually very much wanting to look for phenomenon such as this when out in the country away from the city lights.

I have seen my share of very unexplainable things in my years, but this event left me feeling very uneasy and wanting to get out of the area immediately. This is very unusual behavior for me.

Anyway, I simply wanted to make report of it in case anyone else saw it and reported it too.

Green streak in star trails image

I currently work as a freelance photographer headquartered out of Palo Cedro CA. On the night of May 12, 2010 I was taking a series of Images (over 80 images in total) of stars for a composite star trails picture.

The image I captured that is of concern, shows a green streak traveling from northwest to southeast. Each exposure was for 5 minutes at a 400 ISO at f3.5 and was taken at 11:25.

I’m used to seeing meteors and satellites in my images, but never like this. A friend of mine who is a professional astronomer and the Curator of an observatory in Washington state examined the image and can’t explain it either.

When the image is zoomed in on, there are no others lights are visible (like red or white for an aircraft). The astronomer and I both thought that perhaps it was just a meteor that was heavy in nickel, that would show as green as it heated up. But on second thought, he felt that in his experience (which spans decades) he’s never seen a green meteor that would take up a whole trail like this and be this brilliant.

The laser idea also came up, but I’ve been doing this for a long time, and had green lasers in my field of view for star trails images; in my experience they’ve never shown this brilliant, if at all.

Also, if it were a laser, they would have had to hold it steady for 5 whole minutes, an almost impossible task. The streak also shows that it was very quick, because it doesn’t move in motion with the stars in the background.

A bright object in the night sky flashed brighter as it moved through the sky.

On Saturday June 23, 2007 at approximately 23:15, my two adult daughters and my teenage son were stargazing near Old Station, in northern California. My oldest daughter noticed a flash of light in the sky near the Taurus constellation. It was located to the left of the constellation moving to the right in the sky. It’s normal appearance was that of a medium bright star, it then flashed brighter, and in a second appeared to have moved lower next to the star Aldebaran. My daughter couldn’t locate it with the pair of binoculars we had, and she quickly gave it to me. As I tried to locate it, I heard my son say it flashed again. My oldest daughter told me that it was near the top of the right most star in the constellation. It had apparently changed direction upward from the middle of the constellation. I quickly found it with the naked eye, and then looked in the binoculars. It appeared to be at least as high as an orbiting satellite and still moving across the sky to the right. It appeared to have changed speeds and slowed down. As I watched it through the binoculars, it flashed brighter again, moved a little bit more in a straight line, picking up speed and then quickly disappeared.

Friend and I were out for a walk. We began talking, and looked up. We saw a huge object, engulfed in flames, with a trail behind it.It disappeared behind the mountains. If you compare it with the full moon, it was about the size of it, or bigger.

stepping out to smoke a cigar i noticed what i thought appeared to be a faint satellight.I startwd to watch it and noticed it wobbled, sped up and sped down, and it also flashed bright to dim.it was going from north to south.Also, as it went out of sight about a minuete later i seen witch appeared to be a normal satellight, moving from south to north. It stayed one same brightness and never sped up nor down nor did it have the wobble look.

My brother caled me outside to see a white light slowly heading east. The light appered to slightly speed up and slow down as it travled across the sky. As an aircraft flew in the direction of the light, it chainged directions and flew from the east to a east northeast direction. We watched it till it passed out of our line of sight.

Number of extremely large red orbs seen on the distant mountain range, moving all over mountains with incredible speed.

It was around 10-11 PM on a summer night. I was sitting in my room when I heard my mother call out for me to go outside, where she and her husband and a small group of their friends were gathered. The first thing I noticed when I stepped outside was that half of the night sky was glowing a very bright, intense shade of red.

Everyone was looking at it and were all very tense; we had experienced a huge wildfire in the early 90's that nearly wiped our entire town off the map, and the first thought on everyone's mind was worrying if it was another wildfire. This worry grew when we noticed a large, red orb-like light on the mountains opposite to us. Everyone thought it was a fire, and just as my mother went to call 911 to report the fire, the large ball of light began to move across the mountains and was joined by 5-6 others, which were all the same size, color, and intensity of glow.

We all watched these red orbs absolutely zooming across the mountain range in a way that felt like it should have been impossible. The area they appeared in was heavily forested or covered in deadfall/remnants from the wildfire years back. Any roads that existed at that time were old logging trails which were only used seasonally, and even then, seldomly so. The balls of red light seemed to move quickly and made a lot of circular zigzags, almost reminiscent of something being "scanned" on a massive level.

At this point, my mom was already on the phone to report it to 911. We knew it wasn't vehicles, it didn't seem like fire in the least nor act like it, but it was still so alarming and caused a lot of worry about the "What IF it's a fire?" We lived so far out from the nearest city and had no substations except for a couple volunteer fire departments, so thinking it better to be safe and wrong, she reported it. The dispatcher seemed extremely frazzled by her call, and told her that they had been receiving calls identical to hers for the past 5-10 minutes or so from others in our area who were equally as concerned and puzzled.

After about 15 minutes or so of the balls of red light doing this, they all seemed to congregate on the ridge of the mountain and just disappear, one right after another, and the night sky lost its red color and went dark again.

I do know that some of the volunteer firefighters in our area drove out to that place where everyone saw the lights just to make sure there weren't any spot fires or something causing what we saw, but nothing was found.

I think for me, the most validating detail of this was how our town collectively reacted. Almost everyone we talked to about it later said they had the same fear, that it was another wildfire which would finish the job of the last one we had. So many people lost their homes during the Fountain Fire (1992 I think) and that kind of trauma really defined a lot for them. Nobody ever had any real answers to what it was, and we never saw it again.

3 points of light were sighted in formation that looked like a triangle, with the formost light in front and two lights behind. In complete unison, this object traversed the sky while we were camping. The lights kind of changed from bright star looking lights to amberish reddish lights off and on. It lost reflection or something, here and there? That is what it looked like. There was no noise. It was far up in the atmosphere.

A friend and I were driving from Tacoma to Los Angeles for vacation. We were about half-way over the Lake Shasta bridge, and off to the east I saw a green glowing light hovering in the sky. AT FIRST THE ANGLE WAS ABT 45 DEG ELE, DUE N. THE LTS WENT OF AND ON THREE TIMES IN UNISON AS IT FLOATED OVER ME. I TRIED UNSUCESFULLY TO WAKE MY SON BUT HE WOULD NOT BUDGE THERE WAS NO NOISE AT ALL. IT FLEW DIRECTLY OVER MY HEAD AND VANISHED. IF THE LTS WERE ON THE OUTER PERIMETER THE CRAFT WAS EST TO BE 2-300FT IN DIAMETER. I WAS STUNNED THE BATTERY ON MY CAMERA WAS DEAD AFTER PASSAGE. I WAS TOO STARTLED TO TAKE ANY PHOTOS! (AT ABT 9 PM BEFORE THE EVENT SENT A STRONG MENTAL MESSAGE HOPING FOR A GOOD EVENT, AFTER A WHILE NOTHING ALL HAPPPENED I GAVE UP AND WENT TO SLEEP AS I WAS VERY TIRED FROM VIEWING ALL NITE THE PREVIOUS EVENING THE CSETI GROUP HAD MOVED TO ANOTHER LOCATION.)

ASLEEP AGAIN AFTER SEEING DISC 35 MIN PRIVIOUS. LARGE SLOWMOVING GREEN FIREBALL 200FT AGL MOVING W.TO E. STUCK TREES MADE LOUD CRACK, VANASHED

WOKE TO VY BRIGHT FIREBALL SLOWLY CROSSING SAND FLAT WEST TO EAST. IT LIGHTED THE WHOLE FLAT UP WITH A GREEN GLOW. THE FIREBALL WAS ABOUT 200 FT AGL ABT 300FT NORTH OF MY POSITION EST ABT 30 FT IN DIAMETER. IT WAS A PERFECT SPHERE TRANSLUCENT EXCEPT FOR THE CORE WHICH WAS MORE SOLID YELLOWISH ABT 3 FT DIA. I COULD SEE RADIATION PATTERNS LIKE FINE SPOKES OF A BICYCLE WHEEL, BUT IN 3D. THE FIREBALL VANISHED IN THE FOREST WITH A LOUD "CRACK" SOUND. THE NEXT MORNING FOUND A TREE LIMB BROKEN OFF A LARGE SNAG AND THE TOP OF AN AJACENT TREE WAS SNAPPED OFF. MY CAMERA BATTERY WAS DEAD AS WAS MY CELL PHONE BATTERY. NEXT DAY WITH A NEW BATTERY I TOOK A PHOTO OF THE TREES WITH OBVIOUSLY FRESH WOUNDS. WHITE.

Okay...hovered above property... Red blue white..green...I think...flashed Back .....we flashed a flashlight....hovered and flashed back...lights seemed to circle...it stayed in one place and we saw the light flash...over a three hour period.

We became afraid when it didn't leave. My family had seen bright quick lights move over mt lasses darting about usually in three to five units frequently over many years. We lived on thirty acres in the middle of a remote area. My husband couldn't believe but finally saw this. My daughter saw it. On the special event night which I report a hover craft with the miscellaneous lights was opposite lassen on the other side where we owned twenty acres in addition to our thirty...so we had fifty...the twenty was surrounded by BLM pro...across Wilson hill road. Our thirty faced mt lassen ....17 miles west. We Sat on the ledge.....commonly called piss call flat in the old days. This property is still there. 1.2 miles down Wilson hill road from hwy 44 in shingle town California. I am sure the new owners must have seen this. It was frequent. All members of my family are still alive. The address was and is ((address deleted)) road. Shingle town California.

Summary : Object speeds through night sky.

just a 45 year old stargazer. We were on a houseboat on lake shasta viewing the north westerly star that flickers a lot and is one of the brighter stars when shooting up off the horizon was a star like object moving at an incredible speed. We both had binoculars and stated to each other wow what is that as we followed it. Once it became almost straight up from N/W heading S/E another object just as fast came from the east heading due west. My friend followed it and I removed my binoculars to see if the ob- ject heading S/E could be viewed with the naked eye which it could not so I captured it again with the binoculars until it went out of sight. According to the docudrama asteroids there are quite a few asteroids orbiting the earth so I wasn't to sure if I should even list this one. However I've never seen anything like this before moving at the speed that it was so here it is. Thx for existing.

White dot slowly flew across the mtn. Then hovered. Then shot up into the stars, leaving a trail of greenish-yellow sparks.

It first appeared to be on top of the mtn. Then we could tell it was flying. But no noise. Followed the contour of the land ,maybe 500-1500 ft high. But impossible to tell for sure. Then it stopped, hovered for about 30 seconds, and shot up into the stars. When it stopped it was a star- like dot for the rest of the night. We don’t have this technology. I’m sure of that

A close sighting with missing time prior to '89 earthquake in San Fransisco.

Myself and a friend were looking for something on the t.v. at about 17:00. I noticed that the all California World Series was just starting. However being that we didn't like baseball at the time we decided to turn the t.v. off. As soon as I turned the t.v. off everything went dark and we both heard a noise loud enough to shake the whole house. It sounded like a helicoptor that was trying to turn blades that were way too big for it. Like woosh, woosh, woosh, kind of slowly. Well the sound enough scared us so bad that we ran outside. About a hundred yards above us was a "craft" shaped like a big black kite with red "chaser" lights like on a christmas tree in a cross pattern.this object was about 2 acres big and ascending rapidly when it was about the size of a quarter it took off west very quickly and dissappeared. Both of us were scared and we ran back inside and realized it was 21:30 an neither of us knew what had happened to the last 4 1/2 hours. I was late, I was supposed to be home at 21:00 and since I was at his house and had to walk home. I asked him to walk me halfway and he said no. I wakled home through the woods and arrived at about 22:05 thats when I learned that there had been an earthquake in San Fransisco. For some reason I never discussed it at home or with him at all. Five years later I remembered the incident while having a conversation with my mother. But I still don't know what happened to the 4 1/2 hours.

observed a white sphere about 10 feet in diameter with 2 F16s chasing it.

I worked at the gold mine next to round mountain, the town. the mountain is a hill on the east side of the 8 mile wide valley. 60 miles south is tonopah. the mine is an open pit type mine and is removing the mountain / hill. I was sitting in my haul truck on a terrace that is about 1000 feet above the valley floor. I was facing north west waiting for my turn to get loaded with ore. the sun had gone down about 10 to 15 min. before. when a white ball about 10 feet in diameter came from the southeast at about 50 yards away. it headed to the west of the valley. it stopped 1 mile from the west side of the valley and maybe 20 feet from the valley floor. it made this 7 mile move in 1 second. it stayed there for half a second or less. it then went northeast over the mountain range, 1 mile away from me. also in 1 second. about 2 seconds later 2 f16s came from the southeast to the northwest. they were 50 yards away both sideways so I could see the tops of there helmets. there afterburners were on shooting about 6 feet out. there is no way they they were going to catch whatever that was. I got on the radio and asked the other guys if they saw that. one guy said yah those jets were really close. I said "no, what they were chasing". nobody said anything. if the object made any noise I couldn't hear it over the haul truck engine. it was white like a dim led.

silver disk craft approx 40ft diam. flys over school kids and teachersouside for school meeting and lands in back of school.

At Deer Creek Elementery, now Deer Creek Middle School, in Central Valley California, now known as the city of Shasta Lake, the school was for 5th and 6th grades only. This was in 64/65.As students, we were outside for a meeting with the principal, re: something for all students to attend, such as a student body meeting. The weather was clear. A silver disk shaped craft flew over the school grounds with no noise. North to South, very low, just above the tall pine trees.We all watched, teachers, secrataries, students...Over 45 of us... as it went over us and appeared to land in back of the school grounds, behind some trees. The area was woods and no houses.We, as students were immediately sent to our classrooms, where we sat silent, due to teachers orders, until 2 pm. I observed a man walk by the class window. He was not a sheriff, as we had been told the sheriff had been called. He was in a black suit, with a black briefcase. I did not see any others. He was walking towards the craft, to the south, and not on the side of the principals office, which was on the east side of the buildings. At 2 pm. The alarm to go home sounded, and we were told we could go. A girl and I headed towards the direction of the craft where it had landed. The tall pine trees had covered its descent, but we did not see it leave. My friend and I met other students coming back from behind the school from the landing site; some had went to find the ship.. We were told it was gone, but we still went to the site, where we found a large approx. 40ft diameter ring. It appeared to be burned at the ring all around the edge..( Later on when older,I would return, and find for years nothing grew there.) My friend and I saw nothing but the ring, so we left. Something scared us, and we began to run, but I do not recall what. I went home and told my mom, who came back to see the ring. She saw it also.That night something scared me again by my home, which was not far from the school. Later on in the 70's there would be many sightings in the county. I would know people who had major sightings, and as far as I know besides a report in the papers occasionly, few people reported the many sightings.
