ARCATA, CA, 15 minute show of MANY satellite-type objects

Between 9:00-9:20 PM, constant string of mostly single file, but some paired, very bright satellite-type objects, very, very high... like satellite-high, cruising at different speeds, some slow, some fast, some not moving at all, then starting again. A constant show. Headed E NE over Humboldt County, ARCATA/Fickle Hill Area. Not low and plane like whatsoever. Maybe a major military convoy headed somewhere? Most amazing thing I’ve ever seen... ever! Myself and others from four other neighboring homes watched in astonishment. Thanks, whoever/whatever you are! It was wonderful!!

Object with red and green lights moving sited above Arcata ca

We saw an object in the sky above the mad river hospital area, it looked like a cluster of green and red lights floating - then it moved very quickly up down side to side, the lights all went off an then back on a couple times .

We drove closer to see if it was a ballon or kite or if someone was playing with a toy helicopter or something but it was not attached to anything. we got right under it as the lights keeped moving around but the whole object stayed in one spot for a couple min. And then we drove off .

Was driving southbound on hwy 101 in Arcata, CA around 9:50pm July, 26, 2012.

My dad and I saw what appeared to be a red light closely surrounded by a number of green neon lights as on some sort of craft. It was hovering over the city near the hospital for some time (2-4 min) at what appeared to be a few hundred feet off the ground.

We thought it was an antenna with lights on top of a building or maybe the Coast Guard helicopter. That is until after a few minutes, it darted down at an angle at a high rate of speed as if it had crashed or the antenna fell down.

Until I learn more I am thinking more on the lines of it being a radio control aircraft of some type with a nice light system.

Multiple Northern California UFOs photographed at sunset with the evening crescent moon.

At approximately 9:00PM PDT on August 3rd of this year, I was taking pictures of the sunset and crescent moon as I regularly due. As I was reviewing the photos on my Canon G2 Powershot Digital Camera, I noticed that I may have captured the first stars of the evening with the moon. This turned out to be a big problem though, when I returned to the deck to look for the stars, there were no stars-which should have been brighter by that time. Next, I went to the computer to do some analysis. What I saw on the screen was amazing. Two disc shapes, weird squares, large moon like objects, and also a triangle-missile shaped UFO. Alan Fergason mentioned on Coast to Coast that he didn't see very much until he went to the computer to look, as was my experience, I saw nothing through the viewfinder when I snapped the shot.

I took 12 shots of the sunset that night, some have nothing odd, others some, but on IMG_054 the ufo's are are amazingly vivid.

It took me some time to believe what I was looking at, until I it coupled with the strange camera battery situation I experienced while taking the images.

While taking these photos, my battery read close to dead, even though I was sure it was fully charged. After reviewing the photos I checked my camera again and it then again was fully charged.

Something really weird is going on, I'm sure of it. I'd appreciate if you would help me analyze these photos further. I've included the original and some blowups. I have a PowerPoint poster too, which makes it easier to track and identify the UFO's.

Green and red lights that flew over Arcata.

I live in Humboldt County, and I never thought I’d see a UFO.

My father stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, and then he called me outside. It was nine forty at night (21:40). I was standing in my front yard looking north towards 27th and Alliance Street in Arcata.

At first, I didn’t know what I was looking at. There was this object, and it had bright green lights. Then it turned, and I saw a red light.

I thought it was a plane or a Coast Guard helicopter. This is a coastal city, and I have occasionally seen Coast Guard helicopters fly by. However, this object was different.

It couldn’t have been more than 1,000 feet away, but it made absolutely no noise.

My father and I stood completely silent and we could not hear a single engine noise. Another indication that this was no helicopter or plane was how it moved.

The object moved up and down, left and right, and it even did a spiral traveling upwards. The object moved like a fish swims. All of the turns were very fluid and graceful, and it would stop and move up or down in a single second.

Also, it never left a certain area of the sky. It would dip up and down, and move left and right, but it always stayed in an area between two trees and sometimes going right behind the tree and coming back out after a couple seconds (from my point of view).

Another odd thing about the object was the lights. I have never seen a plane or a helicopter use green or red lights. Also, these lights were very bright.

Even though it was a about a 1,000 feet away, I could still make out the rough shape of a square. And there were two distinct shapes of green light and an orb of red light in between them. The lights were much brighter than any stars, and as bright as the Moon. Also I knew the elevation couldn’t have been very high.

It was a cloudy night. That is another reason why this thing was so noticeable. The clouds covered the stars, and the Moon. There was no wind so the cloud did not move at all. I don’t know how low the clouds were that night, but the object had to be a few hundred feet above the ground.

The object also came very close to the ground. It dipped so low near a field that I thought it had landed. However, I climbed on my fence and I saw it was hovering maybe a few tens of feet above the ground. Then immediately it rose up a little bit.

After watching the flying object for thirty minutes, I went inside to find a telescope and a camera, while my father kept watching outside. My camera batteries were dead, but I did find a small telescope. I set the stand up on my car, so I could have a steady base. The difficulty was finding it. The object was still moving around in the same area, so I knew where to look. I centered the telescope on it then I looked in the eyepiece to locate it. After a couple minutes, I found it, and tried to focus the best I could.

I got a nice quick frontal and side view of the object. Front view: the two green lights on the sides were actually four. The green lights were arranged in a square or rectangle pattern and the four green spheres were at the corners. A single red sphere or oval was in the center. What was odd what that the red center looked like it had eyes. There were two yellow lights in the red center that looked like eyes to me. That was something completely new.

Side view: the object turned and I got a good view of its side. I saw the two green spheres on the side and they appeared as a line with the sphere at the ends of the line. The red center had what appeared to be some kind of tail behind it. It did not look like legs to me. The best comparison that I can think of is the vehicles of Tron and how they are made of light.

After I got a good look of the object, I decided to get my brother to show him. He saw it as well and tried to look through the telescope. Then I woke my mother up. She was a little groggy and didn’t believe what I told her, and then she saw it. Even though she was confused she went back to bed because she was very tired.

I came inside and drew what I saw to the best of my limited artistic abilities. At that point it was ten forty (22:40). When I went back outside, amazingly the object was still there.

My father was still watching the flying object, but was tired so he went to bed because he couldn’t do anything more than watch (for an hour). My brother followed shortly (he had only been watching for fifteen minutes).

I shortly came inside. An hour later before I went to bed, I checked and the object was still flying in the same area as before.

red, green, and white lights hovering, jumping, and zig-zagging above Arcata, CA 7/4/2011

On July 4th, 2011 my fiancee and i were driving eastbound on Samoa Blvd. in Humboldt County from Eureka to Arcata in Northern California. We noticed a standing light above the town of Arcata. The lights were still when we first saw them, and then started to move together in unison, as though all on one object. My fiancee pulled over and we got out of the vehicle and grabbed the camera, which was almost dead because we had just taken pictures at the fireworks show.

The object looked as though it was directly above the Arcata plaza and Humboldt crabs baseball field, where a live event just finished 30min prior. It was approximatly 1,000ft high and at times dipping as low as 700-800 ft.

The object looked as though it was big, about the size of a small house. There were red, green and white lights and seemed to be in a somewhat triangular position.

We were looking North when we got out of the vehicle. The object would make sudden and swift changes and would also hover during the 5 min period in which we watched this.

We took pictures of it, one zoomed out so you can see where its located, and a couple zoomed in so you can see the colors and shape. We then tried to record it because of all the movements it was doing, and thats when our camera died.

The sudden changes in direction while in flight were unexplainable. The object would quiver in the sky and almost dance, making "s" and "z" movements, moving faster than anything we have ever witnessed. It would jump up and down so quickly it was hard to focus your eyes on it, and then it would stop. It would then hover and slowly rotate 360*, sometimes while moving across the span of the entire city of Arcata. It started to move closer to us so we decided to get back in the vehicle, because we both got nervous and felt unsure about what we were seeing.

As we drove North on Hwy101 we saw it above Arcata, and actually ended up passing it, the entire time us keeping a close eye on what it was doing.

Suddenly the lights would just turn off, then flash on placing the object close to where it was but in a different position in the sky. It did that about 5-10 times then stopped and hovered.

We pulled off the Hwy at this point scared and wanted to see if there was anything else it was going to do, we pulled into a gas station and as we did so, the lights/object started towards the South side of town making it hard to see from our location. We spotted it down on the horizon, slowly moving behind a house that was in the way. We got gas and as fast as we could do that, it was gone. We pulled out and continued to look for it for approx. 15 min.

Two moving lights and a flash over Arcata, CA

I was with my roommate and a friend, inside that same friend’s backyard, late at night, during a very clear night sky of stars.

As we looked up in the sky at approximately a 60 degree to 80 degree angle, there appeared to be two moving lights (approximately 30,000 feet up?) that moved at a medium slow speed together in unison toward approximately the north direction, but at a certain distance apart (approximately 300 feet apart?). They moved so perfectly aligned to each other in speed and distance that it seemed like they could have been part of a same single craft.

Eventually one of the lights started to fade, as it appeared to rise up further toward the sky (or maybe went behind night clouds), as the second light kept going on its course.

Eventually the second light started to gain distance, and also started to dim.

Suddenly, a large flash of light occurred in the sky over the second moving light that seemed much bigger and brighter than any of the two moving lights. This large flash of light seemed to occur in somewhat close proximity to the second moving dimming light (approximately 300-400 feet away from the second light?).

This sighting occurred two weeks and four days after another UFO sighting the same roommate and I saw in the same town of Arcata, CA.

I reported that previous UFO sighting on this UFO reporting hotline as well.

Yellow Light UFO Formation over Arcata, CA

Date: 5/19/11 Time: Approximately 2115 Event: My roommate and I were driving home in my car. The radio was playing the song "E.T. (Futuristic Lover)" by Katy Perry. I told my roommate, "I think this song is about an alien. Listen to the lyrics."

I then turned up the radio for us both to hear the lyrics. That happened for about ten to twenty seconds before both of us saw strange yellow lights up in the sky.

The best way I can describe what we saw is that there was a cluster of yellow lights together in what formed a ball-like shaped formation. Underneath that cluster were three more yellow lights spaced farther away from eachother, in what looked like an angled triangle shape. All the yellow lights seemed to stand still in the sky together as either a formation of different lights or crafts, or as one craft with many lights (I am not sure which).

After seeing it, I asked my roommate, "What the hell is that?!"

My roommate responded similarly saying, "That does look weird!"

We decided that I would park my vehicle somewhere to view it. I parked my vehicle on the side of a street, and we got out of my vehicle to view it. Once we saw it again, the ball-like cluster of lights was gone, however the three lights that were underneath it before were still visible, and were still in an angled triangle formation.

The three lights that were left then started slowly dissolving or disappearing one at a time, till there was one light left in the sky, and then that last light then dissolved or disappeared.

I saw a bystander walking near us. I told him, "We just saw a UFO." He said he saw it too. I asked him what it was. He told me, "You just said it."

I also asked my roommate if he saw what I saw, and he said yes. He is just as amazed as I am on what we saw. He is also willing to serve as a witness to this event.

This UFO, when all the lights (ball cluster lights plus three triangle lights) were visible was very large and took up a good size portion of the sky.

For me personally, this was the third UFO I ever saw in my life, and the most amazing.

Supplement to Yellow Light Formation Sighting on 5/19/11 (Arcata, CA)

This is a supplement to a report I entered yesterday on 5/19/11.

The object(s) my roommate and I saw was approximately in the East direction, and we saw it at approximately a 35 degree angle up in the distance. The object(s) appeared to be approximately 200-250 feet up in the air, and approximately 400-500 feet away from my roommate and I.

We were driving out of the Arcata marsh facing north. It lasted one second, maybe less. A bright star appeared in the sky and instantly began falling. It wasnt falling on an angle like a shooting star or meteor, it fell stright down. It was a white blue bright color that didnt change at all as it fell. It had no tail trailing behind it. It looked like a bright dot in the sky, like a falling star, but without the trail. It made no noise, and the color stayed the same as it fell. A plane was in the sky as we were driving; when the object fell the plane changed directions and began to head towards the fallen object. All 3 observers are Humboldt State University students. We all saw it as soon as it appeared as it was the brightest star in the sky.

I saw a bright and big star-like object at night floating over a university weight room gym after I exited the facility.

Date- April 10, 2008
Location- Arcata, California Outside front entrance of Humboldt State University Weight Room on the staircase going downward to the men’s locker room.

Time- About 9:30 pm, nighttime Time Started Writing this Report- About 10:00 pm Just about a half hour ago, I finished my workout at the Humboldt State University weight room. I walked out of the facility through the front entrance. It was nighttime, and the moon was shaped like a smile. I saw clear stars in the sky. There was one bright light that I thought was a star when I first saw it. However it was a big star and it was moving. It actually looked more like it was glowing than twinkling like a normal star. It was not moving fast or slow, but at medium speed. No light was blinking on it like I would see on a normal airplane. As it moved it looked as if it was slightly wiggling from side to side. It looked as if it was more floating than flying. The movement of the light seemed very smooth, unlike an airplane that deals with wind resistance. Even as it moved almost directly above me, it was a big bright light directly facing me the whole time, like the image of a very big or bright star. Normally when an airplane flies over me, the brightest front light of the plane faces the direction that the plane is moving. An airplane front light does not continually face me as it passes over me, as it looked with this flying object I saw. When an airplane passes over me, I usually see some kind of blinking light(s) on its wings and/or underbelly.

It might have even been bigger than any star I ever saw. It made no noise as it moved. As it kept moving, it gradually started dimming, and eventually disappeared, where I saw just a little light before it totally faded into the night sky woodwork. Keep in mind that this sighting happened all during the course of about seven or eight seconds.

Also keep in mind that this was nighttime. There might have been redwood trees that it went behind, and perhaps this was the reason it disappeared. There also might have been fog that it disappeared behind. However immediately after the experience I went to other locations to try and get a different view and angle of the area that I saw the light disappear to see if I could see any stars. Well, in one of my other views, I saw stars, and there did not appear to be fog in that direction.

I am going to return to my sighting location tomorrow during the day to see if some kind of object or redwood trees might have caused the object to disappear from where I was standing at the time of the sighting. I will get back to you on this sighting after I do this, to judge whether or not I feel the flying object actually disappeared, or merely went behind some kind of object like redwood trees.

My code name will be ((deleted)), so you will know who I am.

Sincerely,

A Truth Teller

My boyfriend and I were watching the sunset in a mostly cloudy sky from Luffenholtz Beach when we noticed a large, circular bright light (organge/yellow in color)in the southwestern sky. This was after the sun had gone down and only a little glow was left peeking through the clouds (the light was located quite seperate from the area in which the sun was setting). The light was moving slowly, down and slightly west, not constant in speed or direction. It was way too large to be an airplane & was unlike any object either of us have witnessed before.

Four globes of light in formation

First of all, let me apologise for the approximation on the day and time. Though I cannot remember the exact d/t, based upon where our lives were at the time, I do know that it had to be fall of the academic year 2002-2003.

I had just picked up my daughter at around 5:15 or so, and we were heading home to Blue Lake via Jane's Road/Guintoli Road in the northern reaches of Arcata, CA. (in a development area called Valley West). The sun had set, the sky was darkening to a deep purple, but there was still enough sky light that the hills to the northeast were clearly silhouetted, with some slope details still visible. There were a very few stars starting to show the skylight combined with a hazy sky allowed only the very brightest to emerge at that time. It was this paucity of stars that brought my attention to the lights.

We were heading north, approaching the point where Jane's Rd curves east to become Guintoli, when I noticed a formation of 4 very bright stars over the hills just northeast of us. As we began climbing the overpass that Guintoli takes over US 101, I could see these stars more clearly and thought that there was something odd. I interpreted them as a familiar constellation made peculiar by the selective manner in which the atmospheric conditions permitted its bright stars to appear earlier than the rest. Honestly, I thought I was looking at the Big Dipper, but only its brightest components. Still, they were preternaturally bright and they didn't seem high enough in the sky to be the Dipper. I grew very puzzled and unsure of what I was looking at. I called my daughter's attention to the "stars." Apparently she had already noticed them and was also trying to figure out what they were.

Unfortunately, there was no place to pull over and observe. However, we got the definite impression that these "stars," these lights, were moving. What other real stars we could see were not near enough to confirm this. Our direction was toward the lights, with those northeast hills between us and them, so there was not much in the way of lateral relative motion, making absolute motion easier to detect. Since I was driving, I couldn't watch steadily, but my daughter could. She was able to tell, after a little while, that they were moving as a solid group as if in formation. There was a stop sign along our route, and we were able to briefy watch them, and yes, they were definately moving in a northerly direction, perhaps somewhat east of north since they seem to be moving inland slightly.

There is an airport in a town not far to the north (McKinleyville), and I thought maybe we were seeing some kind of commercial aircraft or maybe something being flown by the Coast Guard which has its Air Station next door to the airport. We dismissed these possibilities after watching while paused at the stop. These lights did not flash nor pulse, and they were large, opaque, globular, almost solid looking, if light can be said to look solid. Their color was a brilliant white, no other colors, no prismatic effects, no bluish or reddish hue, just white like wedding cake frosting. They were not phosphorescent or neon-like, not fluorescent, but more like incandescent, though that's not quite right either. They did not twinkle, nor dance, nor do any of the things that starlight does under atmospheric influence, they were dead steady. In size, they appeared to be slightly larger than a large bright planet, Jupiter, on one its closer approaches, maybe, but clearer, with more well-defined edges.

Since we were travelling in a car, we don't know if they emitted a sound.

We proceeded on through the interesection, and I began looking for a place I could pull over to watch the lights. We turned off Guintoli onto State 299 (the hwy we would take home), trying to keep the lights in view. The lights' altitude was low enough and our relative positions and vectors were such that those hills rapidly got in the way. As we were passing the lights (yes, rapid paralax changes also clued us in to just how close and low the lights really were), seeking a way off the road, one light suddenly disengaged itself from the formation and arced over its neighbor in a smooth curve. Before we could see the final shape of the maneuver and the resulting formation, the crest of the hills and its trees obscured our view completely.

I swung off onto a side road that would take us back the way we came, got back onto 101, and headed north toward the neighboring town, McKinleyville. I had hoped that since the lights were heading more or less north and didn't seem to be in a big hurry, that we could pick them up again and watch them some more. Unfortunately, by the time I had gotten back to 101, the lights were gone, either too far to the east to see past the hills, or they simply disappeared like these things have a tendency to do.

I was so excited that I phoned by son as soon as we got home. He sees odd lights and objects all the time, so I knew he'd be interested in this. As it turned out, he and his girlfriend had seen two simliar lights over Eureka just minutes before we first spotted our lights over north Arcata/Valley West. This is why I put 4 witnesses in parentheses, if they were the same lights, then four of us saw them, not just two.

According to him and his girlfriend, they were in my mom's back yard watching the sunset. The house is in west-central Eureka. Not long after the sun had disappeared, his girlfriend noticed an odd bright light approaching from, if I remember right, the west, and my son saw one coming in from the south. The sky was still fairly bright for them, and these lights were quite brilliant despite the light sky. Note: At this latitude, at that time of the year, there are no long lingering sunsets, the sun would have fallen to the horizon as if gut-shot and the sky darken within 15 minutes or less. That means their sighting could not have preceded ours by more than a quarter hour. The two lights approached each other, one fell in behind the other, and both continued on in a northerly direction, heading toward Humboldt Bay, which lies between Eureka and Arcata.

These sounded like two of the very same lights that my daughter and I observed. We surmised that they picked up two other companions somewhere between Eureka and north Arcata, and continued on north/northeast where we saw them disappear into the hills which skirt the eastern frontage of our coastal towns.

If you look on a map of northern Califormia, you will see that Eureka, Humboldt Bay, Arcata, and McKinleyville line the coast only a few miles from each other. I will try to create a map of our sighting and mail it to you.

Our family has had a lot of weird sightings and other "paranormal" events. I've often thought of writing them all down and sending them to someone doing research into these things who is looking for raw data, but I wouldn't know who to send them to.

I found your sight while looking for information on anomalous sky flashes such as the one our area experienced last Sunday. (That has been explained, apparently, there were distant witnesses who saw a bolide). If you would be interested in any other reports for your stats or whatever, let me know.

One thing I would like to know is if you received any reports of these same lights from this general area, or points north of here. There was nothing in our local paper and I've not heard of anyone else who saw them. My son is wondering if this isn't an example of the "Pearl Necklace" that has been seen in times past.

Thank you.
