I observed a noisless orange ball in the sky rapidly moving north to south. as it went over the house it had an orange tail.

I went to the front of the house and it turned white and developed a trail. it continued in a southerly direction and disappeared over the ocean. all within 5 minutes. a vague rumbling sound was heard after that.

Noticed a stationary round object with LOTS of flashing white lights

Looking out a front bedroom window, I noticed a bright round object in the sky. Too big to be a star, and filled with filled with flashing white lights. I was certain it wasn’t an aircraft because of the shape and the appearance of the lights, and it was stationary in the dark sky. My husband and I walked into our front yard to continue to watch it. We did not hear any sound. He got his binoculars to see it better. He observed it differently, bright colors instead of white and the shape appeared to be more like a cube or rectangular. After about 5 minutes it slowly began to move away from us, further out to the ocean.
A friend and her husband who live several miles from us had witnessed the same thing in the sky about a week earlier.

Large, bright craft at high altitude flew across the sky, then stopped in place for at least an hour.

We were camping. I woke up at 4:30am and saw a large, bright craft at high altitude fly across the sky at the speed a bit faster than a passenger jet airliner, then it stopped in place for at least an hour. There were no trails or erratic movements. It was almost a full moon, so only a few stars were visible, but this craft was bright and highly visible, about 10x brighter than the brightest star. I watched it from within my tent for about an hour before I fell asleep. I was looking at it in a South-South East direction at about 60-70 degrees up from horizontal. In the course of the hour it seemed to move westerly at the same rate the few stars I could see, so it was stationary with cosmos and not the surface of the earth. Though it was at high altitude I took a photo and when zoomed in, it was fully lit up and oblong shaped, horizontally.

I saw one bright orb in the sky approximately facing SW. I saw the object again at 1:10pm while on a bike ride in goleta. The object didn't seem to move but seemed to hover high in the sky. I lost sight after clouds rolled in.

Huge triangular ship "glides" overhead and disappears to the North. Clear video obtained.

An extremely large triangular ship flew directly overhead. Size was comparable to a large military cargo carrier aircraft. There were three bright lights at each corner, but no structure was discernable between the lights due to the darkness. After watching it fly away, grabbed phone and managed to catch some video before it disappeared toward the mountains. Made no sound at all, even though if it was any kind of conventional aircraft, being so close it would have been heard.

Caught it with my camera flying about 100 ft above ground level at mach 1+ yet no visible engine, no sonic boom, no contrail, no sound!

I was out for a Sunday drive snapping photos of the snow on the peaks east of Santa Maria. The snow level had recently dropped down to about 1000 ft--a rare event here. Hoping to snap better pictures, I drove about 12 miles southeast of Santa Maria to the little village of Sisquoc which offers more dramatic views of the mountains. I was looking for snowy picturesque peaks, not UFOs.

At approximately 11:40 AM (give or take 15 minutes), I had just driven east of Sisquoc and started snapping more pix. Sisquoc is at about 460 ft elevation. My guesstimate is that this craft was flying about 100 ft above the ground at an elevation of 560 ft above sea level. I guesstimate the vessel to be travelling 800-1200 MPH.

The craft had no visible engine or intake humps, no sound, no contrails, no visible lights, no markings & no tail. The craft was far too large & fast to be a drone. Also, the nose of the craft was too blunted, the "wings" too "vee'd" & the craft was too tailess to be a Stealth or an F117. I did check out "secret" prototype aircraft online to see if there was anything like it but they all had long needle noses or were otherwise too different so no match.

THE MOST ASTOUNDING THING ABOUT THIS CRAFT WAS THE SPHERE SUSPENDED BETWEEN THE END OF THE TWO "WINGS" AT THE BACK OF THE VESSEL. THE SPHERE HAD NO VISIBLE MEANS OF SUPPORT!

I guesstimate the craft to be about 50 ft in length & the sphere at the back to be about 6-10 feet in diameter. These are just my extremely unprofessional estimates.

The craft was about 5 miles east of my position & appeared to be flying northbound. I would estimate the craft to be 5 1/8 mile east of Sisquoc flying quite low for the speed it was travelling.

Orange glow across sky, then bright orange/fire colored object rising upwards and disappearing into night sky

I was in a Lyft on the way from Agoura Hills up to the Santa Barbara airport. It was the middle of the night and very dark. The driver and I were having good conversation, when suddenly she just pointed to the sky and we both went silent. We couldn’t make sense of what we were seeing. The sky was filled with a horizontal, orange glow. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a very, very brightly lighted object appeared and rose into the sky, disappearing into the night. It almost looked as though it had fire trailing after it, but not a long trail. It all happened very fast, as it seemed to disappear into the dark clouds. After that, both the driver and I kept searching the sky, wondering if we would see it again. We had no idea what it was, and the remainder of the ride was fully comprised of discussion about it. After the first sighting, we did see it again about two minutes later, but we did not see an object. We only saw that same orange hue in the sky. A horizontal glow. The Lyft driver thought she saw it a third time a few minutes later, just for a second, but I didn’t see that one. We kept talking about it, trying to make sense of it. We thought perhaps it was a missile or rocket or something, but that didn’t make sense, and it didn’t align with what we had seen. It was the orange horizontal glow across the sky that was very distinct and strange. We had no idea what it was, but by the end of the ride, we both agreed that it must have been a UFO. Neither of us had any ever seen anything like it in our entire lives.
(I only finally thought to make a video by the time the Lyft driver thought she saw it a third time, but even though I wasn’t able to catch it, I figure I’ll upload it anyway. I also have a recording of us when we saw the first two.)

another very bright flasher

At 8 pm, while outside enjoying a warm evening, a long-duration (10 seconds) flasher appeared of brightness -6 (brighter than brightest Venus) in the southern sky at 50 deg declination. I refer to these sightings as flashers based on the typically instantaneous flashes of varying brightness that are almost a guaranteed viewing if one gives a half hour or more of continuous observation. As a 54yo lifelong skywatcher, I have seen well over 50 uap including close-ups, daytimers, and shapeshifters. I haven't seen an extraterrestrial that I am aware of. Over 50% of the sightings have been flashers. 0% were common satellites. The light of a flasher typically is of point-source starlike intensity vs dull, reflected light from satellites or planets. Normally the flashes are instantaneous or microseconds in duration but a few have been of seconds-long duration. Flashing light is a great way to send information I hear.

Three "stars" that formed a triangle moving slowly then fading out.

I was pacing around my front porch, on the phone with my cousin. It was about 7:30pm.

She was talking to me about our aunt, as she's talking to me I stare up at the night sky and I see this really bright star to the left of our big sticky gum tree, which caught my attention. As she is talking I move over to my left to get a clear view and notice that the bright star that formed a small triangle with two other fainter looking stars. As my cousin is still talking to me, I'm staring at (what I thought was a constellation) the triangle of stars, the top star looked like it was moving. I then realize that all three stars that formed the small triangle were slowly moving downward. I then interrupted my cousin to explain what I was seeing, as I was talking to her the three star looking objects slowly faded out, with the brightest light that was on the left being the last to fade into nothing.

After I hung up, I went on a skymap app I have on my phone, to try and map out where I saw the triangle of lights. The small triangle of lights looked like it was in a larger triangle of stars. Which I believe was, Y Uma (the point), Dubhe (bottom left), Merak (bottom right).

I have never seen anything CLOSE to a UFO before. I'm still trying to rationalize this!

Just hovering @ about 500'. Only time for a picture on my phone.

I pulled over while driving because I saw this, it was not moving at all, just hovering absolutely stationary @ about 500'. I got a picture, then I had to move on due to traffic. I would estimate the space it took up to be about the size of a typical UPS box truck. It was a deep black color with a white aura around it and there was a faint white object positioned about 11 o'clock from it. No lights seen. Absolutely no movement at all. I send this now because I realized the object I saw looks just like the "gimbal" object sighting the military released, (both images attached)... and, I just learned of the existence your site and wanted to contribute.

Bright green fireball flew across the sky

Looked up into the sky just above the Santa Barbara foothills and watched a green glowing object descend at a high rate of speed, not sure of the degree angle but it would have moved from the 10 o’clock position to the 4 o’clock position and was lost behind the foothills.

It was only in view for a second. This is the second time I have seen this type of activity in the same area. Not sure if it was a ufo, a meteor or one of Vandenburg’s rockets coming down.

While driving southbound on the 154 at the dead top of the pass, I witnessed what at first seemed to be a meteor flying directly overhead in the same direction as I. San Marcos pass summit is at approximately 1000 m in elevation and drops rapidly to sea level. At the summit there is a clear view out over the Santa Barbara channel for about one half mile.

The initial brightness of the object as it passed directly overhead entering my field of view through the windshield is estimated at -8, i.e. much brighter than Venus. Within seconds the object had descended to at or below my elevation and was approximately five miles ahead of me now directly over Santa Barbara town. The brightness of the light did not change in this period even though I now witnessed it from behind rather than below. Within thirty seconds the white light changed to red flashing port side and green solid starboard which seemed like "domestic" aircraft but the lights weren't distinct and separated as normal aircraft lighting is. Both red and green lights displayed laser-like qualities rather than incandescent or led. Furthermore the lights seemed to blend with one another to a degree as though seen through a haze. The flashing of the red light was not metered in any sense either as though it was randomly flashing in about one second intervals.

At this point my view was obscured (and I hadn't crashed the truck (I refer to this stretch as "the death zone" due to the number of car wrecks here)). Within seconds the view opened back up and the uap was now at least fifteen miles to the southeast over the channel off Port Hueneme. The light now appeared further away but more intense which defies my understanding of the physics of light. At this point my view was obscured.

In retrospect, I estimate the object traveled approximately 500' overhead at a rate of 1000 mph.

Repeat of last night

Apologies if the previous report was sent twice. Regarding the latter, I witnessed a nearly identical uap to the one witnessed last night. The trajectory and apparent velocity were the same however the flash frequency was about 60 s rather than 22 s. i.e. the object flashed 5 times tonight and 11-12 last night. Direction was nw. Flash brightness was constant from zenith to mountainous horizon. This is not possible with a rotating satellite unless its axis of rotation is changing with my location as tangent wrt the sun. . This is exceedingly unlikely.

Abnormal flashing object in SoCal

As an avid skywatcher since birth (51 hrs), I take pride in my recognition skills concerning flying objects. While relaxing on my back porch after a long day of work I noticed what appeared to be a flashing satellite. The trajectory was circumpolar and velocity was consistant with average satellites. The object was first noticed at the zenith. The first flash was of approximately -6 magnitude brightness and lasted 3 seconds. So far this seemed normal for a rotating solar paneled satellite. Every 22 seconds the object flashed at a consistent magnitude until it disappeared over the northern horizon.

The odd thing is the flashing was consistent brightness as though the light was radiating all directions. Normal rotating satellites will flash at most twice before the change in orbital position relative to the observer makes the solar panels flash to a single spot on the earth's surface. The next flash would be hundreds of miles away from the observer one would think.

This is the first time I’ve seen this phenomenon and have seen thousands of satellites in my skywatching. This is my 23rd unexplainable sighting of aerial phenomena.

White orbs with wings.

Weather was partly cloudy (thin marine layer over sea, clear over land), wind nw 10kt. I and a few passersby noticed 4 white dots in the sky. They had no discernible trajectory but appeared to be moving in a brownian motion (random path) while remaining more or less stationary on a measurable scale. One was seen through binoculars and the object(s) appeared as a white ball with wings of an indescribable shape. After some minutes three of the objects disappeared leaving one, which subsequently faded to nothing. These orbs appeared similar to ones commonly seen launching from offshore (Pacific Ocean) off Pt. Mugu naval sta. seemingly into space at least 5 times faster than rockets launching from Vandenberg, also visible from SB.

Entity sighting on ground

I personally was in the Santa Barbara, CA area backpacking, vagabond for about 120 days starting at around the first of the year 2019. And on 11-23-19 a Saturday, at app: 21:00hrs I was at the beach area Santa Barbara Pier etcetera where State St. runs into E. Carillo Blvd., adjusting my pack and preparing to find a spot to bed down for the night. And for those of us who have some kind of link or connection to clairaudience or telepathic ability I received the ping! of "find a dark, dark spot and post up for a period", huh...ok. I was really hungry and traipsed up to the Ralph's located in this area and purchased some potato salad, cold chicken and possibly some watermelon and headed back out into the night.

Not really aiming at any one particular point I found myself traipsing past Lady of the Lourdes church to my left as I proceeded down E. Sola. Off in the closer distance I see a dark dark area directly across from Alameda Park still on E. Sola & Santa Barbara St. I made my way and crossed the intersection and located a shorter wall that borders the park on that stretch of sidewalk and approached it, took off my pack, set it down.

Looking directly across E. Sola was a series of houses. And there was an area upon the house directly across from me that was akin to a pitch black sea probably a parking area. To myself I confirm "that'll work". I didn't eat the food prior to this event. *I ate the purchased food afterwards and made drawings of this event as well. And as I continued on to gaze ritualisticly into that abyss, to my right...now! look! And as I turned my head to look in the direction of that intersection of E. Sola & Santa Barbara St that was indeed lit up with a street light or pole I saw materialize an entity in a three colour scheme. Camouflage? *see drawing (same side of the street as I). It took one, two, three and on the fourth step, as it neared a wooden light or telephone pole, disintegrated. -poof!-

Interesting caveat on this here is that three colour scheme. As the entity took steps the three colours stayed static 'in front of' or did not move or flow. IMO it was like an invisible sheet of three 'see through' colours held in front of the entity. Not budging in rigidity or columns of 'fixed colours'.

Needless to say I was entirely gobsmacked

The bloom and decay of an entity

Later one evening, homeless in the Santa Barbara area, living out of a backpack, etcetcetc I found an area to drop my pack and take a break. Just 60 feet down from the location of the intersection of Sola/Santa Barbara St. As this were unfolding another familiar -ping- as it go in the clairaudient tip "hey? Look! Right! Now!"

And I am facing mostly straight ahead at this point (to the south/southwest) and whip my head to the right to see a stick -tree like entity (see image) materialize (take form *instantly!) and take a total of 4 steps and collapse into itself on the final fourth step.

* the three colour scheme you see in the drawing moved in front of the entity and did not flow like clothing. Acted more like a sheild of colour camouflage and then gave a glimpse and vanished...

Blinking white light object never moved in the sky appeared to be very high altitude. Object blinked approximately once every 10 seconds. It was not visible between flashes.

After approximately 10 minutes it looked like another much larger craft approached and both disappeared. This happened at a very high altitude and I didn't see anything definitively but it was very unusual.

Driving out of Santa Ynez at midafternoon I came to a stop at hwy 154. I looked left, looked right, then looked left again. There was no oncoming traffic. As I robottically entered a right turn on the highway it dawned on me that something was wrong with the picture. Something uncommon caused me to have a glance back. Approximately 1.5 miles to the west, above Los Olives, was what appeared to be a blimp. These do fly the coast rarely. The shape, however, was closer to resembling a large jet without tail or wings. I immediately pulled over to get a better look. Upon closer inspection it became clear that this was neither blimp nor jet.

Distance from me estimated at 1.5 mi.

The shape was long and cylindrical, cigar style.

The velocity was approximately 10 mph horizontal and northbound towards the mountains.

The elevation estimated to be 500 ft.

The color was indefinable neither light nor dark.

Overall length estimated to be at least 1000 ft. It was much longer than its elevation.

There was no noise associated.

After 5 minutes of watching this apparently huge thing drift against the light wind for 5 minutes I left so as to make my appointment in Santa Barbara.

Silent craft observed extinguishing white lights, the dark oval shape continued across the early morning sky

On January 24, 2018, at 4:10 AM, in the backyard of my home, I observed a bright white light that I first thought to be an approaching aircraft. However, I immediately noticed the movement of the object was different from that of an aircraft; it moved like an object seen in low Earth orbit (as one might observe the international space station traversing the sky).

The movement was smooth and consistent; very similar to the way the space station or a satellite would move across the sky but this object was much lower. I estimate the altitude was between 3000 and 5000 feet.

I observed the white light for approximately 2 seconds when suddenly the light completely extinguished. The object went completely dark; however I could see the dark shape of the craft continuing across the sky. The night sky was sufficiently illuminated by the stars and I could clearly see the dark object continuing across the sky from the north to the south (right to left from my position) with absolutely no lights.

The lights of the craft blinked out instantly. This was not a conventional aircraft, there were no red or green directional lights on the craft, nor were there any strobe lights.

There was no sound admitted from the craft. The entire sighting lasted approximately 6 seconds before I lost sight of the object behind the house.

Just after the sighting I became rather nervous that I had possibly seen something I shouldn’t have seen. I was actually thinking that I might come in contact with an alien being. This thought terrified me and I immediately went inside the house. There were no additional occurrences after this.

curving fireball followed by blinking light.

the first craft was a fireball, the second craft was a blinking light. i assumed the second craft was following the fireball but they appeared to separate when i first noticed them. craft number 2 gave me the impression it was ours... but at first, when they separated, it looked like pieces breaking off, which did happen later with the fireball, but they changed speeds and gathered distance really quickly.

About 30 seconds after they separated, the fireball also slowed down and started to turn outward from the california coast and i assume upward, or still, based on the angle because it slowly faded. But maybe 45 seconds before the fireball died, the blinking light disappeared after pulsing rhythmically for the first 45 seconds.

Mysterious green light seen during fireworks celebration.

Last night there was a fireworks show in the Santa Barbara harbor. A group of us were watching it from the "Riviera" hillside overlooking the city and harbor. A few minutes into the show my attention was diverted to a green light ascending rapidly off the coast a couple of miles southeast of the harbor.

It was "traffic light green" and appeared to be round.

After a rapid vertical ascent of thousands of yards it stopped. It stayed stationary for a couple of minutes, then resumed another vertical ascent up to about 35 degrees above the horizon. Then it stopped again. Another couple of minutes passed and it began a very deliberate descent (not floating like a flare might do) to roughly where it had initially stopped. Another couple of minutes passed and it wobbled side-to-side briefly, then descended straight down to either the ocean or near the ocean, then the light blinked out.

Next day navy said it was a tritan missile but it wasn't and it was silent. Me and my griend were stunned

Yellowish orange, odd circular object observed over Santa Barbara, Ca.

Leaving Santa Barbara airport, watched aircraft on aprouch to land when daughter noticed a odd object some distance behind. At first thought it another plane. Object was circular, a yellowish orange color and much larger then plane on aprouch. As plane came in on glide slope to land, we noticed object drop straight down to about level of plane and get brighter as it got closer. After about 2 min., object then changed direction (without turn or other movement) and went east. We noticed a long comet like tail for several seconds before it quickly disapeared. A few minutes later we saw the object again towards northwest as we headed north on hwy 101. Object was higher in sky, brighter and quite large, about the size of a nickel held at arms length. Watched object for about twenty more seconds till clouds obscured it. Object was circular and brighter towards the edges. No navigation or other lights observed. Very odd looking thing.

I noticed a small metallic circular object in the North East sky. I thought it was a foil balloon at first but I noticed that it was stationary for over 10 minutes, and it was pulsating from bright to dull at a precise rate that lasted for 10 minutes.

If the object was a balloon I don't think it would have pulsated between bright and dull so precisely for such a long time. I think it would have been a lot more random in its flickering of sunlight.

V-shaped formation of steady, bright, white lights moving close to ground, slowly, silently across night sky.

I was looking up at the stars in sky when I saw steady,bright, white lights in a huge, narrow, V-formation, like an isosceles triangle, moving slowly, silently across sky and close to the ground, in a North to South position.

The point had one light with equal number of lights along sides which I didn't count but guessing at least 10 lights on each side.

The body of object blended in with dark sky and could not be seen.

Googling images resulted in one UFO seen in Europe.

A red-orange, star-shaped, mobile object shining in the sky.

Midnight-ish of February 5th, in UCSB (University of California Santa Barbara), my friend and I were looking out to the ocean (southward), when we spotted a star-shaped, red-orange object in the sky. It looked as if it was slowly swaying inconsistently left to right, and perhaps drifting closer to us. A bit concerned (perhaps "frightened") we ran inland to where it eventually vanished.

The object was alone and, to our knowledge, was not preceded nor succeeded (we checked for succession) by any other objects of its kind. It emitted five (natural) rays of light (not "beams" or searchlights) that almost shaped in a star, with one ray shining upward and the other four fanning downward.

A plane flew by shortly after. We considered it may have been the aircraft emitting the light, but immediately decided against it as it flew in from the opposite part of the sky, and was in no way close to illuminating as bright as the red-orange glow.

Looked like a comet with a tail, becoming more rocket like as it moved across the 101 highway in Summerland. Quickly changed shape looking like it dropped a fuel tank. Continued moving out to the ocean with what appeared to be some type of force field around it. Disappeared from sight. Many others were pulling over to film.

Car radio and street lights were interrupted. Dog was distressed. My wife (in another vehicle) reported hearing 'mechanical sounds' as she was exiting her car.

I was sitting outside at about 6:45 pm when the all the electricity on my street went off then I saw a flash of light that lit up the whole sky that followed with a gong sound then that whole thing happened again 5 seconds later.

Strangely enough all the dogs in my area started barking too.

I swear im not making this up.

I found this site to see if anyone else noticed something similar and saw that it happened in 04 in my same town.

I had a brain scan done like a week ago and it came back 100% good. So I know im not losing it.

So weeeird.

pulse of green streaking through sky very quicky for short duration.

I was on a sunset boat trip from Santa Barbara,. I looked up and saw a green flash/pulse streak across the sky, it was similar to seeing a shooting star but was rich in green colour.

I am an airline pilot and have never seen such a phenomena before.

Another guy on the boat witnessed it.

Very strange, would love to hear some possible explanations, military test area? Pulse engine technology? Or a strange shooting star?

Bright, circular light moving slowly across NW sky, suddenly shrank into space.

Friend visiting. We were outside. I looked NNE, just looking for planets. I saw a round white light in that direction slowly moving NE. At first I thought it was the ISS, but knew that it would be traveling along our horizon from W to NW tonight; the opposite direction from where I was seeing this bright light.

It then began to get smaller and shrink into the night sky, as if it were heading out into space. I tapped on my friend's shoulder telling her, "Look, look!," but by the time she turned around, it was gone.

It was approximately 20 seconds from first sighting it to when it disappeared.

Orange line above Santa Barbara

I was driving South on Highway 101 Near Goleta, California, heading towards Santa Barbara.
,
At about 6:15 AM (Pacific), on my right hand side to the North, I saw what appeared to be a rocket leaving the atmosphere. It was an orange light that was difficult to gain focus on so I put on my glasses.

The light slowly changed to a line that was tilted up on the left side to about 50 degrees. This line seemed to stay in the same spot and changed shape slightly as I was driving south.

After about 6 minutes the light seemed to gain momentum as it traveled East Southeast, eventually moving over the horizon.

This glowing orange line seemed to be reflecting the rising sun which had not yet peaked over the mountain range. It was not a celestial body as it moved far too fast. That being said, this line was very high altitude and moving very fast.

I am documenting this in case other saw the same thing, but it could easily have been a very rare anomaly that occurs naturally but I have never seen anything like it.

3 circular lights with Orange tail & sudden white flash over Santa Barbara

On November 6, 2013, I was driving south on the 101 in Santa Barbara California along the Pacific coast in light traffic. The sky was dark as there are no lights illuminating the coastal highway.

At 7:49 pm as I passed the Sheffield Rd. exit, three parallel circular white lights trailing an orange streak suddenly blazed across the night sky and then burst with a flash of intense white light and then the arc of light rapidly disappeared.

The movement was from North to South, across the highway and out across the ocean, and lasted only about 10 seconds. I thought, "Oh my God a plane exploded and is going down," but there was no evidence of any crisis on the sea or in the sky following that.

On reflection I found it strange, too, that there had been no sound given how intensely bright the streak and burst had been.

I am a 57-year old female professor. I have never seen any other such phenomenon.

Triangular, red and green lights, hovering and moving, varying from 300-1000+ feet in Santa Barbara, CA, 2 witnesses.

Two of us just saw something hovering and flying over Santa Barbara, CA, starting at about 11:30pm, near Hollister and Modoc Rd., when we went outside to get in the car.

It seemed to come from the foothills north of Rte 54 and head toward the ocean, eventually hovering very low, maybe 200-500 ft over the ground near us.

Then slowly, stopping to hover and slightly alter direction several times and going much higher, over a period of maybe 10 minutes from our vantage point, it disappeared over the foothills on the other side of Rte 101 and north of Rte 54.

It was triangular or a thick wing shape, with red and green lights, I think more green than red, possibly 4 green and 2 red. When directly overhead, we heard a sort of buzzing/whirring sound.

UFO Report Sighting date: 9/01/13 Time of Sighting: approximately 20:40 P.M. P.D.T.

Location of Sighting: 15 miles north of Santa Barbara, Ca.

LATITUDE: 34.46226N LONGITUDE: 120.02726W El Capitan State Beach Tonight at approximately 20:40, I witnessed a large triangular shaped vehicle with approximately 7 bright but muted or blurred lights* traveling at a slow speed headed due East towards Santa Barbara California. Craft made no sounds.

The vehicle caught my eye initially because of the color of the lights.* The vehicles altitude is hard to judge because it was dark but if I had to guess I would say approximately 1500 to 2000 feet. If, that guess is correct that would make the size of the craft maybe three times the size of a Boeing 747.

The craft was witnessed by myself and I was accompanied by wife and there were approximately 15 guest of the park who witnessed the craft at the same time.

I brought the vehicle to the attention of the group and asked if they were in fact seeing what I was witnessing? All answered in the affirmative.

The vehicle was moving so slowly we all got a good look at its speed, then it appeared to come to a complete stop, but only momentarily. Then the vehicle began to move in a forward direction but also appeared to be headed in a vertical direction. We continued to monitor the vehicle its movement was vertical and slowly east. It then began to appear to gain momentum but suddenly it disappeared.

Initially, I thought it may have been an aircraft of some sort because we are on the approach to the Santa Barbara Airport.

I also thought that it may have been an aircraft from Vandenburg Air Force Base, which is just to the north of the park approximately 30 miles. Although it is my understanding that no flight wing exists at VFB, I have witnessed missile launches from that base, both daytime and night launches, none of those launches were anything even remotely like the vehicle we witnessed tonight. No craft I have ever seen have the ability to accelerate so quickly that they disappear.

Having witnessed hundreds of commercial as well as private and military aircraft I knew this was not any of those aircraft at least of the type I had ever witnessed.

I must mention that during my career I spent 6 years working in the Mojave, California area, where my office was on the perimeter of the Mojave Air and Space Port as well as our neighbors to the southeast Edwards Air Force Base. I have witnessed thousands of aircraft flying in and out of both of these facilities as well as China Lake Naval Weapons Station which aircraft are in the air almost constantly.

The vehicle that was flying over the Park this evening was like nothing I or any of the other witnessed that I discussed the sighting with tonight had ever seen.

I then traveled to the other side of the park and spoke to another guest who was a retired firefighter and his wife, they too saw the vehicle and were unable to explain the vehicle in any other terms than, "We saw a UFO this evening".

The behavior of this vehicle is like nothing commercial, private or military I have ever witnessed. *Nor was the lighting, the color of the lights were something between yellow and orange and very bright. Those are not colors normally associated with any aircraft I have ever witnessed. The vehicle had no strobe or marker lights whatsoever.

Moving SEMI-VISIBLE striped waving object

Hello, I saw something a few weeks ago just hasn't been sitting with me well. I remember being very tired that afternoon so I decided to lay down outside. I looked up to the left and saw a bright red light, but I realized that the light was flashing and there was a blue one right next to it. Of course this was an airplane, however a few seconds later a smaller WHITE light flashed turning into a BURNING/ORANGE-EMBER color before somewhat disappearing. The reason I say somewhat is because after the light vanished I could literally see the SAME light when looking indirectly at this object as if it burned a hole in the sky. Very similar to how stars appear around early dusk. Only slightly visible, however this object was clearly surrounded by some type of LIGHTLY GLOWING BLUE"cloud" or "wavy membrane". This may sound odd as this scared the living hell out of me. This object just came right down to where I was, and as the object was moving I c! ould clearly see it had STRIPED/CHROMATIC colors tailing behind it. It seemed to happen instantaneously and I could see it hovering a couple hundred feet above my house, moments later. I was astonished at the complexity and clarity of what I was looking at even though I was not able to look directly at it and notice it. The only way I can explain it was like seeing a previously unknown spectrum of light, if that makes any sense... This object appeared to have had waving, spaghetti-like strands in a double-helix pattern circling around it just before it zoomed off into a cloud. This cloud expanded at least 10-15 x its size as 5 or 6 light colored objects flew in. That was the end of my unexpected encounter with a UFO. Initially thought it was a shooting star due to the solid white light with no blinking or other colored lights. However, it continued on an Easterly path with no diminishment of light. Possible aircraft but another high altitude aircraft past beneath by a considerable distance and it had blinking red lights and the white light was somewhat yellow and the intensity diminished as it passed, also the aircraft made noise where the white object had no sound.. The higher flying obkect still showed as a consistent extremely white bright light

Orange light over Santa Barbara

No craft. One orange light, like a flame glowing. No noise. We are up on the Riviera. It was up above the city, in from the ocean, but with the ocean and full moon in the background on a clear night. It was in a direct line up from our bedroom french door looking out to the ocean.

It was lower than the moon--in a straight line from our window to start.

Opened the door and walked to deck to watch it. It was still about a minute, don't know how long it had been there. It then rose very slowly, one orange light. It was not a perfect oval, but it was round. It was slightly oblong, longer horizontal than vertical. No smoke. It traveled slowly in an upward direction and slightly to the right, a bright dark orange glow like a fire flame. The glow maintained it's color as it rose slowly up in a line.

After a few minutes it was moving higher up and finally becoming distant and getting smaller. Near the end of the sighting from the distance it looked possible to then ! be composed of three lights together but couldn't tell because of the distance. It finally disappeared. All at the same slow deliberate pace. Our neighbors saw it too.

2 very fast silent objects pass over being followed by a helicopter

Santa Barbara California, near Cottage Hospital.

It was dark out, and a friend and I were walking down the street. We paused to watch a helicopter leaving from the Cottage hospital heli pad. In the past week or so many different agencies have been making landings, more than normal. I assume they are practice runs for the pilots.

The helicopter passed out of site towards the south. I turned around and looked up (I like to look at the stars) when a very fast completely silent object with one dim white light on the bottom passed over heading west. I got excited and was yelling at my friend to look up. I pointed towards it and it faded into the night.

As I was asking if my friend had seen it, another very fast completely silent object with 2 dim white lights one in the front and one in back passed overhead in the same direction and speed as the other object. I yelled at my friend to look, and again it was gone.

A few moments later I heard the sound of a helicopter coming from the east, It soon came into view. Much more slowly than the other 2 objects it passed overhead in the exact same direction as the two strange objects. Their were many lights on the helicopter just like all the aircraft we see at night.

I had seen a silhouette of the two unidentified objects, but the shape was vague. The two objects were different somehow (one with one light and the other with 2) Yet they were obviously the same. Vandenberg airforce base is a one hour car ride in the same direction the objects were travelling.

Meteor-like object broke up into three pieces then a bright light appeared where it ended it's travel.

Driving west out of Santa Barbara towards Santa Ynez along Lake Cachuma, my two kids, 10 and 6 yrs of age, and I witnessed what initially appeared as a meteor which started at twenty five degrees of elevation in the west and traveled toward the northern horizon. It travelled slower than all other meteors that I have seen. Approximately thirty degrees of sky were traveled in eight or ten seconds. Toward the end of travel the object broke into three pieces of white light and extinguished. Within a few seconds a light of magnitude -4 (like Venus) appeared in the vicinity of the extinguishing point of the meteor-like object and remained stationary. This light disappeared after fifteen seconds or so and a flashing light of magnitude 2 (like Mercury) appeared five degrees above the brighter light location. This light disappeared after ten seconds.

My girlfriend and I were at the East Beach in Santa Barbara adjacent to Cabrillo Beach House and Grill. We were both lying face-up and talking.

At some point, we noticed two intense pink-red light moving slowly across the sky towards the direction of Los Angeles (i.e., along the coast). We thought, at first, that they were military aircraft because they seem to move in formation. We both thought it was strange because it was a sunny day and all the other airplanes would have appeared white (instead of red).

A number of planes criss-crossed the skies at various altitudes but we could always make out the fact that they were planes because of the shape. These other things were just...lights.

Then, after about 5 minutes, these lights disappeared in the distance. But here's the strange part - after a couple minutes (maybe 5) two pink-red lights appeared AGAIN! They appeared in the same position and same "formation" (i.e., one was ahead of the other; the! trailing light to the left of the leading "object") as before and moved in the same direction as before. They seem to be very high up in the sky (as before) and left no trails and made no perceptible noise.

12 bright orange spheres moving slowly over the ocean in Santa Barbara, CA.

My wife and I watched approximately 12 very bright orange spheres move slowly across the southern sky above the ocean in Montecito (Santa Barbara), CA. We live approximately 1/2 mile from the ocean so it was impossible to tell if they were close to shore or farther out to sea. Some moved horizontally while others moved diagonally upwards. I was easily able to observe all of the spheres with my binoculars as they were moving slowly with no herky jerky movements. In each case they simply vanished in the sky. There were no clouds or fog to obstruct my view.

My father was a mathematician/physicist at the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) in Pasadena, CA., so I grew up with a great telescope looking up at the sky.

Three bright orange orbs, equal distance from each other, moved slowly in a row, then stopped for several seconds before vanishing.

My friend and I were returning home about 9:20pm, she driving, when I saw three very bright, seemingly round in shape, orange orbs moving in a row, not rapidly, not slowly, (about the speed of a small aircraft). I called out and my friend looked also.

As I watched the three (about as far apart as the visual length of the big dipper) they stopped, simultaneously, and remained perfectly still for several seconds. Before we could find a place to park and get out of the car to watch them more closely, they had vanished.

My friend and I both have Masters level education as psychotherapists. I am now retired.

I enjoy studying the night sky and have been interested in ufology and extraterrestrials, although I am no expert.

Flying Saucer Photo

I took this picture on December 28th 2011, I was in the passenger seat of a car on highway 101 traveling south to Long Beach. We were just south of Santa Barbara, I was just taking pictures out the passenger window as we were moving south on the freeway. I did not see this object until I went through my pictures later. You can see a small dark spot between the ocean rigs, if you zoom in it is appears to be saucer shaped. I have a great camera (canon 7d 18 megapixels) and I took several pictures of the coast and I can zoom into objects and see what they are like Helicopters, kites, airplanes, birds but this one I cannot explain. If anyone can scientifically examine this closer please do. I would be very interested to see if this is a flying saucer, UFO.

One Round circular pale orange object rising almost vertically to the South, then over us heading North.

My friend and I happened to be out in the backyard when he remarked and pointed out dimly lit round object in the sky to the South. What was peculiar was it's flight pattern;as it was ascending nearly vertically at first,then headed towards, then almost directly over us, on a Northerly course,which we viewed through binoculars. Upon getting a closer view we both concurred that the object was round, a pale orange/yellowish color and no regular aircraft running lights appeared.

We are both fairly skeptical middle aged men,sober and have aircraft experience ,possesing analytical and perceptive observational abilities. We both concurred that what we saw had to be a UFO. Regrettably no pictures were taken,but we both know what we observed an hour ago was not any kind of plane or type of aircraft either one of us have ever seen.

My Husband and I were sitting on our porch when we noticed an orange light, which was bright enough to be a spotlight, but had no directionality to the light. It was always an orange fire color. In fact it looked almost as if it could have been on fire, with the way it pulsed and grew and dimmed with light. It was moving slower than an airplane, and much to slow to be a shooting star. There was no noise from light at all. It was moving west then either dimmed out or turned south and moved away so quickly it seemed to go out. That was just as another plain came into our area, as we are in the landing path of the Santa Barbara Airport. It all took place with in a min-min and a half.

Large orange light moves over Santa Barbara then moves toward the channel islands.

From my back yard a long, orange, very bright light was coming straight in my direction (south east). I think it was at an altitude of 5 to 6 thousand feet high but it was hard to tell. My first thought was that it was a large meteor streaking in the sky but it didn't look to be descending at all. I thought it looked like a meteor because it was the color of fire and very large.

It was totally silent. I ran across the yard and told my mom to "come quick I see a UFO". Before she could get out side the object changed direction from coming directly to me and started moving toward the west over the ocean. As it moved it began to diminish in intensity and started to move faster. My mom and I began to try to explain what it could possibly be but it was clear it fit no identifiable explanation. As it continued to move westward it began to blink out then it would flare up again. It did this 3 or 4 times then just didn't come back.

After it disappeared my mom and I noticed that there was an unusually large number of airplanes in the sky. As we were looking around at the airplanes and commenting on the blinking lights and the differences from what we saw we noticed another strange light that didn't look like the other airplanes going almost directly over us heading north. As it got closer we noticed it was also totally silent and was a large triangle shaped craft (TR3-B I believe). We watched it continue slowly right over our heads and went directly over the mountains to our north.

We were looking in the sky and saw a shape like a bird with a full open wing span about 30 - 40 thousand feet high. It was moving from north to south cost.

What caught our attention was that it was a lighter blue than the sky with a very slight glow to it on the out side. It never changed shape through out the duration of the sky we could see so it was not a bird and moved at least 3 to 4 times the speed of a boeing 747 at full flight.

There was no aircraft lights or sounds from it. So what could it be?

It was so quick that we did not have time even to record it because it was across the sky within 15 seconds.

Sighting of orbs after report of large boomerang shaped craft.

On Thursday, April 22 my fiancee called me and asked me to come home as soon as possible around 10:55 pm. He said that he had witnessed a boomerang shaped craft flying low over our apartment. (around 3500-5000ft.) This has not been the first time we have witnessed an event like this, we had a similar one last year. When I came home he explained to me that he had seen a large craft flying overhead. We are used to seeing planes fly over us all of the time and he knew that this was not a plane. Also from our previous experience last year I assumed that if I waited outside long enough I might see something else, which I did. Flying north towards the mountains, off to my right, there were two slightly glowing orange orbs circling each other in formation. This is when I called to report the event. Then about ten minutes later a single orb flew in the same direction off to my left. Then again about 5 minutes later another one flew over but seemed to vanish as I was! looking at it and I could no longer trace its flight path. They were much like the orange orbs I had seen last year however not as bright and this time they were flying much closer to the ground. I would say lower than planes yet higher than birds if that makes sense.

Large Chevron shaped craft and bright Orbs over Santa Barbara, CA.

At approximately 10:50PM on 4/22/10, I stepped out on my balcony like I do almost every night just to get some fresh air. I walked down to the far end of the balcony towards my neighbors front door, I turned around to come back to my area of the balcony, and as I turned I rested my hands on the wooded side of the balcony, and I looked up. I noticed a dark shadow moving west directly above me very slowly. As my eyes began to focus, I clearly saw the outline of a very large rounded boomerang shape ship with no lights. I could make out the outline very well. I would guessed it to be flying at between 2500-3000 feet, because it appeared to be lower than the mountains, which are around 3200 feet. The ship was more rounded like a half a circle with sharp points or horns coming off of it, sort of like a Chinese throwing star. It was low enough that it was reflecting light off of the bottom part of the ship. From the reflection I could clearly see that it was a sliv! er/light color. The object slowly faded away in the distance. The entire experience was surreal and very eerie.

On the same night at 11:05PM, I also saw 2 bright orbs connected to one another to what appeared to be a rod of some sort. They traveled in the same direction as the other object, however they moved much faster, and the objects appeared to circle each other as it moved across the sky heading west. This object was also seen by my fiance whom just arrived home from work.

Metallic Teardrop Shaped Object

I was walking past my bedroom window when I saw movement in the corner of my eye; I looked out and saw a dark gray metallic "teardrop" shaped object.

At first I thought it was an odd looking balloon floating down but it never changed speed and looked "heavy". It had been raining during the day and was slightly breezy outside, I noticed that the object moved down in a straight line, not blowing around like something lighter would in the wind. There was nothing attached to it, nor were there any lights around it and it was the only one I saw, it was about maybe 3 feet wide and 4 feet tall if I were to guess.

Sitting on the porch of the ((name deleted)) restaurant, located at the corner of Anacapa and Ortega Streets in Santa Barbara, CA, two witnesses sighted an unidentifiable object which appeared at times to be a flipping disc shape in the sky which exhibited a tumbling motion as it came straight toward us for about 3 minutes.

The object appeared to be very far away, as it tumbled or shifted shape, it also made very sudden and purposeful changes in direction.

The object moved primarily in a north-eastern direction.

Dim Green Lights viewed in the University of California, Santa Barbara

I was walking directly under the Santa Barbara flight path, when an airplane was taking off. The airplane was heading in a north direction and some hundred feet away you could see a set of dim green lights trailing behind it, but then the UFO quickly changed directions, heading east. The actual body of the moving object was vague but a I could make out a sphere like shape with particularly, the three green but dim lights.

Saw a small triangle craft with lights on all of the points appear in the sky along the beach bike path in Santa Barbara, CA. The same craft or perhaps another one identical to the first appeared again, and then met up with another triangle craft and they seemed to attach to one another. There was no sound, and my girlfriend and I both saw them.

My boyfriend and I were riding our bikes along the oceanfront heading east along the Santa Barbara coastline around 9pm when we stopped for a moment on the adjoining grass to talk, I was speaking to him when he first saw movement in the sky, he told me he saw a diamond/triangle shaped craft flying over us, I thought he was being funny and didn’t look up but then realized by the look on his face that he wasn’t joking. We had already witnessed two orange orbs in the same area about a month ago so I looked up and a few seconds later I saw one for myself except it was a “boomerang” shaped craft with 5 orange lights; one at the tip, one on each end and one on the center of each “arm” it was difficult to tell how high it was flying but I would guess approx. 3,000-4,000 feet, about as high as the local mountains. It was larger than an airplane; next to a full moon I would estimate it to be about a sixth of the size. It flew NW and disappeared into the clouds. I kept looking up into the sky when we both saw another (or the same, I’m not sure) object flying NE, then from the opposite direction one of the same size and shape came towards it, I thought they were going to collide but they instead seemed to merge into each other and become one larger object which then changed shape; the orange lights on both objects began to sort of swirl around then the craft(s) took on a double diamond shaped appearance before flying off in a NW direction.

We then went back to our apartment about 7 blocks away; once there I witnessed another chevron or “boomerang” shaped object flying south through the sky from our front patio. At that point we decided to get our digital camera to try and record the objects and went back outside. I saw the chevron shaped object at least two other times, once flying north and then south. At this point we went outside to the street for a better view. A couple of minutes later I witnessed another chevron shaped object that appeared to be larger and flying lower than the others. It also had the orange lights on the bottom, more than the first, however this time the lights seemed to be moving in a very coordinated pattern, as I watched the lights seemed to swirl around each other in circles. There was absolutely no noise from any of these objects. Unfortunately our camera was unable to pick up the video we tried to record, however we’ve decided to take it with us when we go out riding now just in case. I will update if we see anything else.

Orange orbs over Santa Barbara

Biking along the beach on the bike path, my girlfriend and I came upon a very bright orange colored orb, that appeared to come out the water or beach area. There was no indication of a trail of smoke, or any noise.

Then another appeared right next to it. They hovered in the same spot for several minutes before drifting off at what appeared to be a high rate of speed.

We were not the only people who saw them. A woman walking pass us as we were staring up at the sky, said out loud "oh my god what is that?" We said that we weren't sure.

As we continued down the path an additional 100 feet or so, there were a group of people who were commenting on the strange and very bright orange orbs. It was pretty amazing, because

I have not seen anything like it in my 45 years. They were not of this world.

Silent Soaring Triangle with greyish tips heading West very Ominous.

April 17th 2009. Around 12:47 and 12:48am, I was outside paroling an area in Santa Barbara just South of Highway 101 facing West.

I flinched, thinking that I caught a glimpse of an owl soaring silently through the night. My eyes caught a visual of a dark triangular object its' three corners were a grayish white, there was no flashing and no other signs of markings, no sounds, no exhaust. The triangle was acute, I would say it had a 90 degree angle in it. The unidentified object was at a low altitude, I would estimate 600' - 1200'. Holding my pointer finger out the object measured 2".

The object appeared to be soaring at a steady speed compared to an owl. The object was visible for 5 seconds, heading westward. 20 minutes later I got a hold of a police officer who directed me here. I called the National UFO reporting center in Washington state at about 1:15am on the 17th of April 2009.

It seemed like it was in orbit but was way too big to be the space station. It was moving towards the WNW over Santa Barbara, CA at a constant rate and was orange in color. It also appeared that small whitish specs were falling off the sides at irregular intervals. At least 3 planes were visible at the time to compare for size and shape, and this was not a plane.

A sudden fireball flash of an obvious head and tail streaked across Santa Barbara Bay from east to west. It may have been an asteroid, but it was seen while we were driving south on the 101 fwy prior to dusk. It seemed to disappear right across the city to the ocean. I have been lucky as this has been my second sighting within months. The first was in Bend, Oregon also driving on the fwy. before dusk on 12/3/08.

Three round chevron-formation lights in Santa Barbara sky March 24, 2008 at 8:30 p.m.

I was on an after-dinner walk with my family in Santa Barbara, Calif., at approximately 8:30 p.m., March 24, 2008. We were naming the constellations, when we noticed three, not-very-bright lights (outlining a chevron--one light at the point, two lights at either end of the chevron)cruising very smoothly and at amazing speed through the sky. I thought it was a airplane, but there were no flashing lights. The lights were round and chalk-colored. My husband, both of my young children and I witnessed the lights. The lights flew above us (at the height of a low-flying airplane) and then seemed to speed up and, instead of lowering in the north near our airport, whisked away into the upper reaches of the sky until we couldn't see them anymore.

observed two lights hovering diagonally over the ocean in santa barbara california for many hours.

I was driving along the coast in Santa Barbara between 4 and 5 am this morning and noticed 2 strange lights hovering over the ocean very close to each other. They were in a diagonal formation and one was brighter than the other. It was hard to say how high they were hovering, but id say at around 1,000 feet above the water. I pulled into a parking lot on the beach to observe them to see what they were or if they were moving. I sat in my car for around 45 minutes listening to music and keeping an eye on the lights. They did not move. I proceeded home and was able to see them from my home until daylight a few hours later. I asked around about it and someone claimed to have seen the same light formation at 9 pm the same night. I attempted to take a photograph with my cell phone but there wasn't sufficient lighting.
