Saw a large V shaped object with 6 amber lights move across sky

Was with my daughter taking dogs for morning walk (daily 4am). We had Santa Ana Winds blowing so the sky was clear and stars bright. No moon and the area is residential and not brightly lit. We were just beginning the walk when my daughter told me to look up. I glanced to the NE and saw a very large V-shaped object with 6 amber lights, 3 along each side creating the V. I think the "lights" were possibly reflection from the sun which was not yet up? The object was pretty high. It moved from the NE to the SW in in a slight arc. We were able to watch it for about 10 seconds until it was too small to see. The object was black but it was a lighter black than the sky which made it a bit easier to pick out. It appeared to be hazy where the body of the object would be. At the area I would call the tail there was a very defined black bat tail that was extremely black compared to the hazy black of the body. My daughter and I talked about what we saw for about 15 minutes during the walk and we agreed on the description above. The only difference is that she thought the dark black area behind was possibly something following it. It made no sound, didn't turn, rotate or change speed. We watched it from about San Juan Capistrano until we lost sight over the ocean around Las Pulgas Rd. That's around 40 miles so it was going very fast even though it moved slowly across our field of view. Wasn't Starlink as I see them all the time.

Unidentified lights in night sky

Tonight while star gazing in our backyard around 8pm, we, myself and 3 other people, saw multiple lights moving in different directions and then disappearing. More lights emerged from the same location moved for a few seconds and disappeared. Then in a different section of sky closer to the moon we saw the same phenomenon. One light emerged from the black sky moved for a bit and disappeared followed by about 5 more lights. These were not satellites and they were not in a string. There was movement from a few different locations but we focused our attention on one area at a time.

Orange/Red Orb above Trestles in San Clemente, CA

My girlfriend and I were leaving the beach and walking along the bike path at Trestles beach. There were super clear skies and the sun had just set. As we walked we watched the sky change colors from the sunset and I noticed a bright white star which I guessed was a planet. As we kept walking I noticed an even larger light in the sky which at first glance looked like Mars. It was bigger than the other planet we saw and was bright orange and red. I thought it odd because its size was much bigger than usual. Maybe twice as big as Saturn in the night sky. I mentioned it to my girlfriend and we were both curious about what it could be. We talked about it a bit and both thought it was odd. So I set my bags down and got out my phone and opened the Star Walk App. I lifted it up to see what the object could be and the object was gone. I then pointed the Star Walk App at the other planet we saw and that was Saturn. Then went back to the area in the sky whe! re the Orange ball had been. I could almost still see it but it was much smaller - like it had traveled much farther away in a matter of seconds. Then I noticed on the App that Mars was in rotation ahead of the Sun and had set below the horizon earlier - so no way it was Mars. Not anything we could clearly confirm but definitely one of the oddest things I’ve seen in the sky for some time!

5 bright red oval or squared object hover then accend at extreme speed over San Clemente, CA.

I witnessed 5 separate dark but bright red objects follow the same trajectory. The first followed by the next. I spotted them about the height you would see a helicopter approaching towards you. Then stopped for a milli second before heading up at about a 60 degree angle at an extremely high rate of speed. I watched each accend until they went out of sight, which took 3 to 5 seconds.

The last object followed the same path but was a bit slower in speed. There was no sound other lights or trail. These were definately seperate distinct objects moving in the same deliberate path.

I have never seen anything before that I would descrbe as a "UFO". Also, I observed these immediately following the 7.1 earthquake which hit about 150 miles north in Ridgecrest Ca.

My girlfriend caught a video of one but it does not capture what we saw visually. I describe them as "light". She says they were more squared or rectangled.

Pulsating lights in the sky over San Clemente, California

Pulsating oval shapes with line of lights emitting from the oval shape. They seemed to be chasing each other. In pulsating and moving slowly. Bright orange light, much brighter than the surrounding city lights.

Just above the mountain top and definitely in air. They would pulsate and some of the shapes after pulsating would be located in a much further position and then sometimes after pulsating return back close to their starting position/ location.

First time we had ever seen an UFO?

Large cigar shape at a slant in the air as low as an overpass. No wings no windows, grey color it vanished before our eyes...?

On the 405 we saw a very large cigar shape, like a plane with no wings and no windows. Grey and it was at a slant in the air not much higher than a overpass. It was very large for a split second I thought a plane was crashing or an immediate landing? Hovering very low saw the object for 2 seconds maybe 3 and then nothing? We looked everywhere as fast as we could- nothing? Very strange.

My husband is a financial advisor. I’m a retired music manager. We have never witnessed a UFO but this is something to report it was there and then it wasn’t we are beyond perplexed…

Dazzling reflective white spherical object

At 4:00PM on Monday 11/20/2017, I was driving through San Clemente, CA. on US Highway 5. Passing Exit 78 (Camino de Estrella), I noticed an aerial object in the northwest sky, brightly reflecting the soon to be setting sun. The object was northwest of me, at about 30 degrees above the horizon, perhaps over San Juan Capistrano. I observed this object without interruption for about three seconds, during which time it appeared motionless in front of the distant clouds. The apparent shape was like a brilliant white bb with an apparent diameter of about 2mm. My viewing was interrupted by a tree passing through the line of sight, after which the object was nowhere to be seen. The nearest METAR data from John Wayne airport (about 25 miles northwest of my position) recorded visibility as 10 statute miles and a few clouds at 15000 feet. If the line-of-sight distance to the object was 5 miles, then it would have had a diameter of about 75 feet and been at an elevation somewhat above 10,000 feet.

Its near-instantaneous disappearance eliminates the possibility of either a reflective balloon or aircraft.

I was looking out from 2nd story large bedroom bay window, when I saw the bright reddish/orange balls in a line on the water. Figured it must be a military exercise, since I live near Camp Pendleton, and went to bed.

Had second thoughts this morning and decided to report what I saw. Hope it helps in some way.

Mysterious formation over South Orange County Skies.

Looking up at tonight's blood moon, a group of us neighbors noticed a strange constilation in the night sky, as we were looking at it we all began to notice the objects were moving and changing formation patterns, not planes, these we see daily, and all hours of night. They appeared as stars, but moved slowly and blended in perfectly with the stars above, we saw them from about 4' O'clock high until about 8-9 o'clock high moving in a Southwest to eastern route...I have always been a skeptic but after tonight I am a firm believer...never seen anything like it! Ever! Cool and scary to say the least, all because of the unknown… Being a military combat veteran, I put everything I have come to know and love about being a US MARINE, this wasn't like anything I have ever seen in my life before, unless we're talking SciFi, than of coarse I can say it looked like ((what)) you would see on Star Track (sic. Trek)...simply amazed at what I had witnessed..

3 orangish unknown shapes

100% Real Sighting and first interest or care of UFO's existence. Coming home from dinner on September 25th, 2015, at approximately 9:30 pm, we don’t drink or do drugs. My girlfriend and I were driving up the hill to our house when she said to me, what are those 3 lights? I replied, probably helicopters as I had no interest. As we continued up the hill she said again, look, what are those lights?

At this point I looked up to see 3 bright orangish lights in a vertical pattern a considerable distance apart from each other. I then said, lets stop and watch and see if they are moving, as they just appeared to be hovering. As we stopped and watched I immediately could notice they were slightly moving but very slow.

Immediately after I noticed they were moving slowly in our general direction, they stopped and appeared to be hovering again. I still wasn’t too interested until, within a few seconds,I literally blinked and the bottom of the 3 lights had vanis! hed. Now my eyes were glued to the 2 remaining lights as the bottom light disappeared faster than anything I have ever witnessed or known to exist on earth. The next two lights and what they did are why I am writing this and now know UFO's 100% do exist.

3 The top light in the pattern of 3 lights, which is now 2 lights remaining, I watched disappear approximately 10-20 seconds after in a directly upward and out direction at a speed not from this earth. The large bright light I could see fade in a direction, speed and distance that is impossible to be from our planet. Rockets and Missiles are like a turtle to this speed. It was very close to light speed, just a bit slower and enough to notice direction. As this happened I expressed my disbelief to my girlfriend and I am not sure if she saw it disappear as it vanished completely within a second or two. However, now both our eyes are glued to the middle of the 3 lights and last one remaining. Within 10-20 seconds the middle and last remaining light, which was a good distance lower than the top light, began to move in that same direction at a similar speed. As we both watched the light vanish into outer space within a few seconds, exactly like the top light, we knew what we j! ust saw together was impossible to be anything known to exist from this planet. My girlfriend will submit her sighting report in her own words and neither of us care if anyone believes what we saw. We know what we saw and it has shocked our world

Bright Orange Lights Triangular San Clemente, Ca, June 25th 2014, Split into 14 Spheres

Driving 5 fwy south, through San Clemente, just before Avinida Pico, I saw 3 spheres that were bright orange, like on fire, holding pattern in the shape of a sideways triangle, they were not moving in a pattern of a plane, they were moving down south, they went behind some hills, by the time I made it to san Onofre, saw them again and there were 10 to 14 spheres holing the same fight pattern, as I came to san onofre power plant, they were to the East and disappeared over the hill where the power plant lines go, across.

They looked like bright orange spheres, like fire, with billowing white smoke coming off each one. It was hard to see a shape behind lights, not sure, what it was.

We observed a bright light which was slowly changing colors, from blue to green to red to white to orange and back to blue.

It appeared to hover for periods, then it made rapid movements that certainly did not seem possible for any aircraft I know of. It appeared to be out over the ocean in a west northwest direction from doheny state park.

I am a skeptic, but this was bizarre and unexplainable by me.

Bright shining light stationary over ocean past San Clemente Pier. Through binoculars of 100x magnification a red blinking light is seen along side the upper left side of the light which could be formed by a cluster of lights seeming to change colors. First seen at approx. 10:40pm and still in sight now at 11:10pm. Seems to have moved slightly south still over ocean area. Noticed no other activity in the sky during this time as there is always plane activity from many airports north and south of our location each night. A thrilling sight to see.

past several weeks - a strange light out over the ocean - we can see from our patio. It stays stationary - is much bigger/closer than a start but clearly not an airplane or helicopter. Ufo sighting off of south orange county coast

My wife and myself were smoking a cigarette on our patio, when I noticed an orange flame-like object which I thought might be a plane on fire, since it seemed to have a whitish smoke trail that dissipated almost immediately. It was flying from the northwest on a low trajectory, looked like maybe five miles out over the ocean. When I first saw the object,it seemed to burn brightly, and when it came closer,it dimmed and then shot of at a quick climbing trajectory to the southwest.Ran inside to grab the camera,but it was gone pretty quick. San Clemente sits adjacent to camp pendleton marine base just to our south,but I know they only fire artillary that we've heard but never seen,and this seemed to come from laguna beach or dana point when I first spotted it. San Clemente Island located about 50 miles to our southwest is used as a bombing range, so I wonder if this was a rocket from Vandenberg Air Force base way to our northwest.

Any info you could find would be! helpful, otherwise I think i might have just become a believer, and so would my wife!

Triangle over I-5 near San Clemente and bright hovering light.

On Wednesday April 20th at about 8:45pm, I was driving south bound on I-5, just south of San Clemente when I noticed a slender triangular shaped object above my car. I couldn’t tell the size of it. It was either really high and very large or really low and not that large. If I put my arm all the way out it was the slightly larger than my hand. It had lights pulsating in sequence beginning from the point of the triangle (the front) down to the back and then back up to the front.

When it reached the front the lights would pause for a second and then start the rotation over again. I followed the object for a total of about 10 minutes, and was able to get a pretty good look of it. The lights on it where a light blue in color. The bottom/belly of the object appeared to be rounded. The object appeared to be a midnight blue in color but that could have been a reflection from the flashing blue lights. For about 5 minutes the object was going with traffic while zigzagging left and right over the freeway. After a little bit, still traveling in a zigzag path, it began to speed up until it traveled out of sight. At 9 pm my boyfriend called me. While explaining to him what I had seen, I saw another light. At that point I was coming up to the agricultural check point on the northbound side of I-5. At first I thought it was an airplane. When I got closer I realized it wasn’t moving and it was only about 100 yards above the freeway. It was a solid white light approximately the size of my thumb at arms length just floating about the freeway. As I drove past it I was able to look out the drivers side window and see nothing attached to it. It was just a single bright floating light.

When I was driving home yesterday, I was looking at the sky because it was so blue and clear - no clouds at all. Then, I saw a silverish-whitish "thing" floating high in the sky. It was traveling up gracefully, kind of like a balloon. I watched it for about 10 seconds because I had never seeing anything like it before and was trying to figure out what it was. Then, it slowly faded away. I thought maybe it was a plane hitting the sun at an angle that made it disappear. About 20 seconds later it appeared in the same area again. It traveled upward again very gracefully and then disappeared. I did see some birds in the sky, but they were much lower. This could not have been a bird - it was way to high. It disappeared and reappeared 4 times. I was driving where there are many high hills and twisting roads so I eventually lost track of the area it was. I concluded that it could not be a plane because a plane travels upwards and forwards, this was just t! raveling upwards. I am a mother of two and a teacher. I would not make this up. Maybe it was some sort of reflection? In appearance, it was not at all like the stories of UFOs I have heard of in the past. Hmmm . . . . . ?

i was getting ready to go to bed and looked out my window and saw a bright yellow, orange,ball of light. I thought nothing about ituntil about 10 minutes later i relized it was higher up i watched it move and when it would slowly move upi would see a lineleft behind but after the dot stopped it woud disapere.Around every 5 minutes a silver, i can descrbe it as a explosion type shaped.I did not here any sound.But the object would just move out.While looking at the shape i would see a buch of lines surrounding the top of the object.sometimes it would look like a cheveron shape. And now thinking about it it looked like a sauicer shape when the the light sourounding the object would sdissapear and then reapear.it was dark outside and it was a full moon.

A long beam of light stretches across the sky.

2/21/09 At midnight I went outside to talk with my girlfriend's brother and he pointed out something in sky. There was a beam of light stretching over our heads, going from the southwest to the northeast. The light appeared kind of vague and blurry but as I looked longer the light became more clear. I'm not sure what this is or how it got there but I am very curious what it is and if it will be back tomorrow night.

Foo fighters in San Clemente on 11-08-08, did you see something?

I am sad that you never wrote this case into your site. I am referring to the November, 08,2008 sighting I reported of a basic "foo fighter" that was following a small private airplane along the coast. I think the plane was spooked as a couple of minutes later it appeared to have turned around and was heading apparently home. The next week, as I am a college English teacher, I told the story to my students and honestly by chance one of my students happen to be in Dana Point at the basic time and date I saw the UFO. She and the ones she was with saw the same object as it seemmed minutes before I did. It is a very lucky situationthat we may have seen the same thing, but she claims to have seen the same thing. Dana Point is just north of the city of San Clemente, and as the object was moving along the coast, I surmise that she saw it a few minutes before I did. That would make the total of people that saw this at least five. Most interesting is the security guard I witnessed the UFO with (I saw this at a wedding reception where he works) and he said that he had seen stranger one night in the past. I was at Ole Hanson in San Clemente. It is an older place that offers a place for weddings and has a pool for public swimming. Anyways, he told me that during one wedding reception everything stopped, including the music, because in the sky there was something he described as an organic, moving like a fish swimming, object that moved across the sky. He said that was much wilder than what we shared. So, I know this is not the best encounter, but I hope you mention it as maybe others have seen both my experience and the one the security guard did in the past.

A very recent Foo Fighter following a small plane. Maybe pilot reported.

I am reporting this the day after the event. I was at a wedding last night and I went outside to smoke. I was with the security guard and we both witnessed what I would describe as a classic foo fighter. We both saw a small, simple, and typical private propellar plane being flanked by an orb that was definitely following it. It was on the left side of the plane and maybe fifty feet lower but moving at the same pace, as if observing the plane. It was glowing in a red-orange way but was not blinking. It kept following the plane over the horizon and then we lost sight of it. Intersetingly, a few minutes later a plane was in the same exact location (following the shoreline) was moving east (the opposite direction of the plane before). Possibly this story could be linked to a sighting given by the actual pilot. It is possible that the pilot was so spooked by the follower that the pilot went back to base. I am not really sure how I would verify it but if anyone knows I would suggest they check the exact time I have given and as a lead the plane might have came out of John Wayne Airport.

As a side note, the security officer who watched the event with me, who works these by the beach weddings all the time, was not as excited as I was. I don't know the date, but he claimed that one evening, at about 9:30pm, the whole wedding party stopped and stared, including the live musicians, and watched a very strange object move through the sky that looked like a fish swimming. He said that this encounter was much more of an unexplainable experience.

Personally, I have a lot more respect for people that claim to see really strange things, be they UFOs of ghosts, etc. I have no idea what I saw but I was really in a way feel blessed to have seen something so unexplainable in an age where things in general have mostly been explained.

A side note: Of course no one at the wedding believed a bit of my story,even though I had a witness. They all assumed that I drank to much, but I was part of the entertainment and was sober at the time, as I can at best say about the security guard. I really have sympathy now with those that experience something bizzare yet get disfranchised mentally for reporting it.

This is not the first time I have seen a UFO. Somehow I feel that this makes this story lose credence, but I am honest about everything. In 1993,I witnessed the "Vulkin Crusier". Sorry if I didn't spell it right but I don't follow Star Trek. It was the exact UFO that was seen in Belgium. I watched it with a witness for five minutes, and it was huge! I have seen stealth bombers while going through the desert and I was definitely way larger. It never did any strange manuvers, it just moved in a straight line though it was strange to watch as it slightly moved left to right as it glided by. It was pure gray, had three red lights on each corner that did not flash, and one additional red light on the center that also did not flash. There was no way it was a plane. It was way larger and it also made no sound. It eventually disappeared over a hill so I never saw a disappearance. Was it alien? Was it military? I have no idea. All I can do is report this as more UFO heresay.

White/Blue Rectangular object over Orange County CA changed shape, searchlight pointed at object.

Me and my whole family saw a rectangular shaped bright object in the night sky over Orange County. It changed shape from rectangular to a twisted looking shape then back. Kind of like a rubrics cube twisting. The object was changing colors but was over all very bright whiteish blue. Kind of like looking at a huge high def TV around 5000 feet. It was above the clouds. Didnt look like anything any of us had ever seen. Someone inland fired up a spotlight and pointed it at the clouds below the object. The rectangular twisting light source continued a sort of accent untill it was a dot against the sky like a star. VERY STRANGE. Cant find any news and im getting frustrated because im sure lots of people saw it + someone pointed a searchlight at it. Hope to find others who witnessed this.

9 light grid floating by silently, 3 rows of 3 red lights.

Standing on balcony looking west over pacific ocean, commanding 180 degree view. Notice Venus-like, bright, white light low in north-northwestern sky. The light is stationary for first few minutes of observation, then moves steadily west to take up new stationary position less than a hand's width away with extended arm. Light still looks very far away, beyond airspace.

The light suddenly starts to behave--morphing from a single white light into a circle and then a vertical line before returning to its original form, a single white, star-like light. The light then begins to vibrate and appear blurry. Out of the blur materializes/emerges a single red light, not blinking, that is suddenly within proximate airspace and clearly moving south down the coastline. At this point the single red light is approximately 50 miles north and within a minute it is much closer, approximately 5-10 miles, still moving south slowly and steadily.

At this distance, what was once a single red light is becomes four red lights, each one a corner of a perfect square. As the lights pass at their closest, directly out at eye level (approximately 200 ft above sea level), the "side view" is of 9 red lights, 3 rows of 3 red lights in a perfect square moving evenly and SILENTLY at an approximate distance of less than a quarter mile.

The 9-light grid continues steadily southward down the coastline, and now the rear view is again four red lights, each the corner of a square, except now with one extra in the middle of the square, so now 5 lights moving at the same steady, unwavering, silent pace. Approximate size at closest view 50ftx50ft.

Extra wrinkle: Enter apartment after losing sight of lights, walk into kitchen, hear audible "click" from electric range, open oven door to find broiler coil glowing orange and fully engaged though oven controls all "off" and indicator light "off." Oven/range "off," broiler coil red hot!?

Two orange dancing lights near San Onofre nuclear reactor

Two orange dancing lights. My brother and I were camping in San Clemente. We looked southwest towards the San Onofre reactor when we both noticed two orange lights. I could not make out a shape but they looked round from where we were. I estimate the lights were 15-20 miles from my position and probably out over the Pacific Ocean.

We observed two lights moving up and down in alternating times. When one was up, the other went down, and when one went down the other went up. I am an airplane and bird fan and I can say for sure this was no plane. Could it have been a light source from Camp Pendleton? Maybe. But, how would the light reflect so far and off of what would the light be reflecting off of? I think the light source originating from Camp Pendleton is not reasonably probable.

The motion of the lights appeared coordinated and under intelligent control. I think these were two separate objects.

Many colored lights flew into a strange formation turned into sideways discs (about 9) and lit up in all colors, blinking at eachother like communicating to each other.Another dozen were colored red and small and flying objects all around our neighborhood, making a vibration or hum sound. One by one a the lights formed a massive circle in the sky over our town. But once in a while a red light would go up next to one of the white lights in the circle and immediately the white light and the red light turned into all colors again and blinking and communicating whith each other. But then the red light left the circle and continued searching the neighborhood. This setting went on for so long and eventually my husband and I went in the house - straight to bed - I was so tired and my neck was hurting from looking UP all that time.

My wife and I live on a hillside community in San Clemenet called Marblehead. We have a direct view of the Pacific ocean at Dana Point but slightly marred as you move south by rooftops of the homes immediately below our home. At 11.00 p.m. (June 13, 2006), while my wife was asleep, I observed from my second floor bedroom bay window, two extremely shiny objects next to each other. They were hover over the ocean. However, it was impossible to tell how far from me the objects were because of the intensity of the lights. Each object had the same kind of lights; that is, three very bright lights organized in a triangular shape. I observed these lights for about a minute or so until the lights of one object faded into darkness like the fade in a movie leading from one scene to the next; a minute or so later the other object's light's faded into darkness in the same way the lights of the first object faded. About 30 seconds thereafter, a new light came into view slightly to the west of where the lights of the other two objects faded. Then a second object appeared to the east of the lighted object and then a third light appeared. I immediately woke up my wife, and she observed the three lights. Within a few minutes, the lights of one object faded, then the lights of the second object faded and then the lights faded on the third object. The skyline was dark for about a minute then each object appeared again, about 30 seconds apart. At one point there was five objects (maybe six as I veiewed in a kind of mild astonishment. Three of the five objects appeared to be next to each other and the other two above the other three. I started to toy with the idea that the I was observing one object with different lighting sections. This was a distinct possibility but I can not be certain one way or the other. The whole situation lasted about twenty minutes. At no time was there significant movement of the lighted objects, but there was definitely slight movement. The objects stayed hovered in the same area with lights fading in an out. The fading of the lights did not suggest the object moved away at a fast speed. The lights were either turned off or covered over by clouds. I would vote for turned off. But I can tell you this for absolute certain: the lights were very bright and they must have been observed by many people. I could find nothing in the newspapers about it. So I got on Google to do a serach under the caption: Strange lights over coast of San Clemente. Ultimately my search lead me to this website and the posting of the above description. I am not into UFO's and I am hoping the unidentified flying objects I observed will soon become identified flying objects with more information.

A quick round like craft in the sky and vanishing when i knoticed it while walking at night.

As walking down the street i look up to see a round like craft with a blueish/green auora and it happened to vanish as i looked in the sky and knoticed it's presense. This isn't the first time this has happened in san clemente, there has also been various reports and other witnesses who have seen the same objects at night or so with the quickly vanishing objects in the skys. I wish there could be a real explination for it.

Video of strange rotating lights in sky

I have been an Accounting Manager with the same firm for 8 years. On March 8, 2004, I was testing a new digital camera I had bought for my upcoming vacation to Hawaii. The camera takes mpeg video as well. At 12:54 a.m., while my boyfriend and I were laying in bed, I had the camera pointed out our bedroom skylight (skylight is 8 ft. x 6 ft) when I noticed a white light in the LCD screen. At first I thought it was a star, but then I realized it was moving, so I thought it might be a comet. I continued to record for a total of 1 min 14 seconds. When I played the video on my computer at 200% zoom, I was surprised at what I saw. The object had different colored lights that would change from green to red to blue to yellow, and the lights would appear to be perfectly circular then they would rotate and change into a white streak, then change again into 5 cirular lights each a different color-red green yellow blue purple. The object could not be seen-just the lights that rotated around it. I was able to change the contrast and brightness in my media player, and when I did, a second row of lights can clearly be seen above the first, but rotating in the opposite direction. There is a also a strange haze around the object as it moves. (I would like to add the fact that I have taken into account any possible reflections from the skylight, however,all the lights were off in the house. The only light in the room was from the LCD screen) I will be forwarding the video to you via U.S. Mail. I captured stills from the video that I saved as jpegs and will be emailing those to you as well.

Triangular object cruzes north slowely along the 5 freeway in San Clemente CA( 10/15/02)

at about 9:45pm i saw a light out in the distance. My friend and i were smoking a cig in the parking of a church up on a huge hill about 200 feet above, 50feet inland of the 5 freeway. To the west was the ocean about 1 mile away. Previous to the object (or light)catching my eye, I was facing the south(along the 5 freeway), My friend was facing north. clear sky, not one cloud. So anyway--then a bright yellow/gold light appears south of our position. I grew up in this town and it only has one freeway, so i know every inch of the 5 in SC. My best guess would place the object at first sight--about 1.5 miles south of the church. I told my friend to look at it because it was very bright and rather unusual for a copper to be flying so low at 10pm. SC goes to sleep at 10pm-the city is dead till morrning. SO we kept watching the light. After 3-4 min. we agreed that the light was moving North directly toward our position up on the hill. NOW IS THE MOST INTERESTING PART---what ever this flying object was. It took it 15 min to fly from south of MISTY RIDGE( the next huge hill south)To directly over our heads (1.5 miles away). when the object passed over our position on the hill, the thing must have been moving less than 25mph. It just appeared out of nowhere--cruzed at 15mph along the 5 freeway, went over our heads, and just kept on going. It made no sound--we would have known if it was a copper. I'm assuming that the craft was all black- because i could only see three gold lights in a triangle shape. FOR REAL---IT MADE NO SOUND--not even the sound of the freeway could silence a copper flying right over our heads. During the sighting the object was low in altitude. i'd say- 300 feet. when the object flew over our heads it was NOT far away(we were up on a huge hill)--I'm suprised that I couldn't see the body of the craft. i tried to make out the actual shape but i just couldn't see the body (black/on black sky). It just looked like 3 bright lights in a triangle formation. I watched t! he first 3 seasons of the X-files--so i asked my friend some questions. We experienced no communication with the object. we felt no loss of time. we didn't feel sick/nauscious. we saw it--it most likely saw us--it flew by. That's my story. OH YA- SC is the southern edge of orange county--right on the border of CAMP PENALTIN and the TRW facility (trw-where the military worked on laszer guidence systems). My former highschool is located just 2 miles from the TRW facility. back in 1997-98, at night we would drive to a place where we could see the TRW plant and watch the laser fights. NO JOKE- they were having lazer gun fights out there on the base. I saw all colors of little streeks zipping back and forth. looked like a water gun fight.

3 lights close to horizon, 2 lights fade slowly, one very bright, until it vanished.

Clear skies. Looking straight out towards the ocean(west) there was one extremely bright light close to the horizon, about 20 degrees. The light did not move at all for at least 30 minutes. Then when I checked back at 8:20PM, it was gone. Two more lights were visible above Catalina Island. Much lower to the water line than the first light. One light slowly faded around 7:35, the second faded around 7:45. There were several airplanes in the area aproximately 15 min after sighting.

It was my first night moving into my new house in san clemente.My brothers and friends had just left from helping me move into my house.I was outside,standing on my lawn,looking to the west (about 3 blocks from the pacific ocean) I noticed something just beneath the cloud cover,over the coast.A saucer shaped disc,with multi-colored lights on the edge of the object.The object seemed to hover and spin,so the lights were changing colors from blue,green,and yellow.It seemed to be fuzzy at times,then come into view. I watched it for about 10 minutes........I was trying rationalize that it was a balloon or something I could explain.I got into my truck,and drove down to the beach.....when I got there,it was gone.I know what I saw was a disc shaped object,and I could see it very clearly.Even though I have waited close to 18 years to report this..I KNOW WHAT I SAW!!

I was in the US Marine Corps and i had taken the weekend to go up to bass lake my then home! I was on the Greyhound bus..at San Clemente we stopped and i used the upstairs restroom.. a man in 1 of the stalls was shouting ' You Queer leave me alone! I looked over to see a ' Black man with his upper lip ' Curled up like a Buck deer does. And i moticed his eyes were like a Cats eyes as well..

I'll never forget that as long as I'm alive! I went downstairs and reported it and the two men i reported it too just rushed upstairs like a bullet…

Anyway I'll always remember that! Tysvm....

Orange Fireball Lands In San Juan Capistrano August 1965

A large orange fireball shot down at a 45 like degree angle from the northwest. It had no noise and just before it was to strike the ground it stopped dead in the night sky.

The shape now grew dim orange in color from the entry and just sat there a second. Then it slowly like floated down to the ground and looks like it landed in the hills next to TRW plant in San Juan Capistrano.

The TRW plant was weekly/night testing the Saturn 5 rocket engines during those days. The testing making the whole area roar at night when in use.

It was funny they tested at night around 900pm and the object landed about the same time in the evening.

They were not testing the night of my sighting.

This happend at the same time Rex Heflin in Santa Ana took day pictures of a UFO over the Tustin Marine Helicopter Base. Was there a link??? I don't know but it sure drives me crazy to this day.

Have never seen anything close to what I saw back in the good old days.
