Saw triangle of lights hover over Bay (lifted up and then didn’t move again) and then fade into darkness

My home faces the Monterey Bay at Seabright Beach. As I was sitting on my sofa, I noticed a triangular formation of lights hovering above the water, high above the Walton Lighthouse. The lights were stationary and appeared to be of significant size. I initially believed they were a drone but dismissed this possibility due to their size and formation. The lights remained stationary for approximately 30-45 seconds, then began to fade gradually.

I saw what looked like a jet chasing a weird three sided craft. I was unable to determine on drive if it was a triangle or a pyramid. It stopped in the sky for a short time and then a jet chased it to the coast and back over the mountain. Looked obscured and very dark.

I am seeing weird things in the sky

I think there is a top secret thing going on at lockheed property in the mountains. I was driving up eagle rock on a utv and i see this triangular object with rounded edges. It was in one spot, then jogged to another and hovered there about a minute at a time. It rapidly flew over and descended behind a mountain range owned by lockheed martin. I panicked and ran behind a burned out rock cliff/cave, when i realized where I was it was darker outside although it was beginning of sunset when i observed it. I knew I was there the whole time, but it seemed like sunset happened in five minutes while I was waiting for it to leave. could not turn on utv until it left. It was jogging across the canyon almost like it was surveying spots.

Was moving laundry, sudden instant quiet. usually i look up and see bats flying around eating bugs. i looked up and the sky had a aboration(?) similar to a distortion but see through. dont know how high up maybe 300 feet up. as it came closer i could see it was pitch black almost like a vanta black type of absence of color. looked like it came from the direction of the demo forest above bonny doon. as i walked back home it went in opposite direction very fast. movement maybe back west or northwest very fast. at some point when i started moving forward it went from almost above me to away from me. it followed away as i walked further forward.

in the past i had a similar encounter near the old satellite box trail off hicks road. i was early 20s and i thought i saw something similar but i was approached by unrecognizable "beings". i could not see them, they were blurry or see through. i ran and jumped into my car and took off. i never really thought about that and i repressed the whole incident thinking i lost time. i did lose time. i didnt think anyone would believe me. i had the same feeling today when i saw this triangle type craft. maybe not so much a triangle but one with rounded edges.i didn’t see any "beings" except when I was 21 or 22 when that happened. The thing was I knew I was being watched. And this was like 10-15 seconds long today. When it left all the natural sounds returned. I could even hear the bats above me flying around. I have experienced this "dead sound" before but never looked around and saw anything. This brief absence of sound always is accompanied by cold sweat and extreme fatigue.i only connect this weird feeling when it happens and then I never talk about it at all and I forget. I thought I had to write this down at least once.

Spherical object contrasted against the moon.

At night, the sky was clear, the moon was in a wax crescent, I was driving towards the City of Santa Cruz, in California. I pulled off the highway near a body of water, and when I observed the moon a spherical object, dark in appearance (due to lighting and distance), appeared laterally from the left middle of the moon. From my viewpoint the object was outside the atmosphere, and approximately 9 - 12 of these objects would have covered the lit portion of the moon. The object when moving laterally from left to right into the lit portion of the moon then made a "J" before reversing and returning the way it had entered the lit portion of the moon. (The time is an estimation.)

I saw round glowing lights that had a solid presence that at first were stationary then they moved and then disappeared

Where I live I look out to the ocean and a dark night sky. Last night I saw these lights in the sky that at first I thought must be fireworks since that is common to see where I live at certain times of year, but I realized that what I was looking at was not fireworks. The objects were a glowing orangey color and they appeared to be stationary for a bit- at first I saw a collection of about 7 or 8- not sure exactly how many of them. They changed formation, but they did not move in a constant way.
I grabbed my binoculars and looked at them but I couldn't see anything better. Then they completely disappeared while I was watching them.
Five minutes after I saw these glowing lights in the sky that I can not explain what they are, I emailed a bunch of my neighbors who
also live in homes where they might have looked at the night sky to see if they saw them but no one else saw them.

Hello -

My name is ((name dleted)). I am a music teacher and photographer who lives on the West Side of Santa Cruz, California.

I am writing to ask for your help in interpreting one of the strangest things I have ever seen. It has been occurring since late October and continues each night there are no clouds or rain.

On October 29th my neighbors and I first noticed two unidentifiable lights in our neighborhood - one smaller and distant, the other large and seemingly closer. I am a layman and not a scientist, but I feel like I can rule out a planet because:
- they don't move position in the sky from night to night, or even
week to week.They appear to return to the same coordinates each night;
Both the smaller light and the large and bright one move in the sky visible to the naked eye. The smaller lights’ movement is very jagged. The brighter objects’ movement is more of a swaying back and forth.
When I center the brighter object with my camera on a tripod, it moves out of frame in minutes, to the point where it is no longer visible from my vantage point. After several repositionings of the tripod, I have always had to move to a new location to continue shooting it.
The brighter object has many smaller, fainter, fast moving lights near and around it that are very visible in the screen of my camera when it is in live view.
The brighter object is usually accompanied by a triangular looking object that moves from frame to frame around and near it, photos 5347-5357. There is some wind, but the tripod is fixed, and to my layman’s eye it appears to show both objects moving in contrary motion to one another.
I have also been videotaping the object since October 30th with my cell phone. I am enclosing a few videos and some freeze frames.

In movie 1423, I was actually able to film the brighter object arriving in daylight.
In movie “Video 2,” taken on 11/13/21, watch for a series of flashes, about 25 in all, starting in the upper right moving left, above and around the bright object. I did freeze frames of these flashes, which are enclosed.
In movie 1579, taken November 23rd at 5:48, to the lower left of the bright object is a smaller flashing light, which when zoomed in on looks very curious, almost like a metallic, spinning hexagram.

Beginning on November 10th, I started using my Nikon D750 on a tripod (although I had to move the tripod several times when the lights were moving quickly.)

After observing and photographing the larger object with my 500mm lens, it seems like there is a pattern to what is occurring on a nightly basis. I want to say again that I am a layman, and so the terms and descriptions I use may not be scientific or accurate, but they describe what a layman has seen and photographed on several nights.

The object arrives as a sphere (Movie 1423, taken November 6th at 6:27pm).
It seems to grow in size and brightness and then goes through a series of intense flashes, lasting several seconds, where the intensity of the light increases, and the sphere appears to change shape.
In the photos where the sphere is not a sphere any longer, for lack of any other way to describe it, multi-colored, worm-like objects that to my layman’s eye resemble DNA strands fill the entire sky. To my unscientific eye they appear to be clones of the object in some way, because these “DNA strands” are the exact shape of the nearby object as it flashes with different shapes in each of these photos. I have taken photos of this on a few different nights. Photos 4812-4912 are from 11/10/21 at 7:55pm. Photos 5615, 5677, and 5691 were taken on 11/17 at 8:30pm and show very similar images to 11/10. 5691 shows a stick like object that appears in many other photos.

The last series of photos from 11/24/21 are for me the most puzzling and the most disturbing. I can only describe it in my very unscientific terms. During this stage the object moves a lot, and so I was struggling to keep up with it. They show the main, bright object being surrounded by multi-colored projectiles of some sort. I struggled to get the first shots of this, photos 5364-5378, which are partially obscured by the trees. (One interesting thing to note is the way the triangular object is visible even through the tree in photo 5364). In photo sequence 5379-5385, I got a clear shot of this head on. The projectiles surround the bright object and seemingly penetrate it like sperm to an ovum for lack of a better metaphor, exploding out the other side of the object with a great flash of energy. On November 17th I captured the same images a third time just before the object moved and went out of range, photos 5781-5794.

I have many more images that I can send that span several weeks if you are interested. I am simply looking for a scientific, rational explanation for what I have filmed and photographed. Thank you so much for your help!

A loud vroom sound is heard. I see in the sky an aircraft with two large engines on either side but no wings on side or on back. I hear this sound only in the mornings. Not first aircraft spotted with this form and sound. Others seen are always traveling from south to north.

I was actually parked on the cliffs in Aptos looking for UFOs at the time. I have neen really into the whole UFO topic for a 6ear or two now. I've been actively looking at the night sky for a few months and recently began seeing things.

This night, I was scanning the sky and ocean over aptos and Santa Cruz with my infrared binoculars. Suddenly a crazy bright light on the horizon startled me. Through my binoculars, it was as big and bright as the setting sun! But this was night time , the sun had set over an hour ago. I watched this bright orange round light that sat on the horizon over the santa cruz side of Monterey Bay for 20 ish minutes. It was still most of that time. Finally it began slowly pulsing in brightness, getting so bright that at one point, it turned my binoculars from regular mode to infrared mode by itself. Then it began to move slowly north. Horizontally, along the horizon. It moved slowly away until it was behind the peninsula that is Capitola, yet I could still watch its progress because bright orange rays of light shining up from behind the land gave away its position as it went. Eventually I couldn't see it anymore. I've been trying to find anyone else who witnessed this. Nothing y! et ... but it was SO bright other people had to have seen it too.

I found an article online from Australia a couple years ago that shows the exact same event. That article said that authorities suggested it was just extra fuel burning off at their oil refinery. Obvious bullshit story... we have nothing like that here, either. I took pictures, video, on both cell phone and the binoculars.

Three rockets above Santa Cruz, no explanation

I was laying flat on the ground looking up. I was on Coral Street in Santa Cruz.Three rockets, all brown in color, with the shape of the new SpaceX rockets, flew from North to South across the sky in a period of two minutes. They were very clear but and seemed to be low to the ground but I heard no noise. They all left vapor trails that disappeared after twenty seconds. They all appeared the same but the color was very brown. It was strange because three came in a row, one right after the other and I've never seen a real rockets in the sky before. It was extremely odd. I've never seen these kind of rockets on tv or heard reports of rockets launching from Mountain View, Santa Clara before. I think that one rocket may have split the earth into three dimensions by launching them and that's maybe what I witnessed. I think we might be splitting the earth into multiple dimensions by traveling in height above the surface. Do we really know all the effects we are c! ausing in time and space with the act of traveling to space? I reported I saw an airplane fly into space and another thing I want to say is that I hear strange noises all the time above Santa Cruz that sound like space ships and how do we know if someone like Elon Musk is not running their own space fleet right now? Is space even monitored?

I went out on my deck to bring my dog inside because she was barking. While waiting for her, I looked up at the clear night sky. I noticed two objects with blinking lights, and watched them for a while because they moved together at the same speed, in the same direction, which I had never seen before. They were higher than the commercial flight planes, but not as high as satellites. After the closest one started to move out of view, I noticed two small white (like stars) lights moving much higher in the sky. They made 2-3 tight circles around each other, and then moved in unison along the same plane, in opposite directions. The farthest one faded out of view, but closest one appeared to become stationary, like a star, and didn't move again for as long as I watched. I am a recently retired nurse, and have never seen anything in the skies like it before. It was the circling of the two lights and the fast and uniform movement in opposite directions that made me want to report it.

I was sitting in the car with my family parked in front of a beach. Everyone in the van was a sleep except me because we had been driving all night. I was watching the waves crash on the beach. I looked down at my phone for a second and looked up and saw a floating object above the water. I thought it was a helicopter. But there was no noise and there was no wind coming from it. It also couldn’t be a airplane because airplanes can’t stay in one spot. It sat there for about two minutes and then flew away over the houses next to where we are parked. And I never saw again.

1 dozen light orbs seen over 20 minutes travelling through sky

Santa Cruz, California, USA 95060 Approximately 4:00pm (16:00) Dec 3, 2016. The Place and Time, Weather, Orb Count and Equipment I was standing in my back yard on the Westside of Santa Cruz, California, December 3rd, 2016. This approximately places me at the Santa Cruz Lighthouse on the cliffs overlooking the Monterey Bay. It was approximately 4:00pm (having checked my watch a few minutes later at 4:05pm).

The sky was mostly clear, and sunset was about an hour away; though the sun, close to the horizon in the west, was hidden behind hazy cloud cover, which I believe I have now identified as wispy Cirrus or Cirrostratus clouds. These clouds covered about half the sky in the west, breaking up overhead.

A couple of wispy Cirrus (I believe) clouds lay 40 degrees over the horizon, East by North East, opposite the low sun, and it was from one of these I saw three bright orbs, seemingly lights, appear, heading South, to the right. They traversed the distance from my first sight of them to out of sight behind various trees at about East by Southeast, so I had a view of them in the sky for about 45 degrees of the horizon. They traversed this distance in about 15 seconds.

At this time, I called for my girlfriend to get my glasses from inside, my astigmatism causing the first sighting to look distorted and fuzzy. Bringing them out immediately, she also left and returned briefly with a pair of binoculars (Sans & Streiffe #889 Viking, 8x30mm, field 10& #730;). We waited for a bit, and then at approximately 4:06pm we saw another single light orb leave the same cloud, heading in the same southerly direction of the others. This too passed out of sight in about 15 seconds.

The next 25 minutes were spent in their entirety by myself scanning the sky for more orbs/lights, and my girlfriend coming outside intermittently and surprisingly being present for most of the orbs. At no time during this period did I think to take more than one image with my phone, as its picture quality is notoriously awful. The one I took at approximately 4:04pm was not of orbs, but of the first of two clouds that the orbs apparently came from. This was for reference, in hopes of understanding how high up they were by the cloud type. As I mentioned before, I thought these were Cirrus, but they may be medium level clouds. They lacked any of the “fluffy” features found in low level clouds though. The clouds were clearly either obscuring the orbs as the orbs flew behind them, or in fact were the source of the orbs. I should say, every time we saw any orbs during this event, they either appeared from behind/within the clouds, or as I'll mention later, materialized next to exi! sting orbs.

Every couple of minutes from 4:06pm until approximately 4:15pm, a single orb, or two orbs would appear from within/behind one of the two clouds (whichever was approximately in the position of the first sighting) traveling South, to our right, for about 15 seconds until passing out of sight from our narrow, 45˚ field of view. At the end of this period we waited another 5 minutes until it was about 4:20pm without any further sightings in that area of the sky. My girlfriend headed inside again and I stayed to watch the whole sky now.

At approximately 4:21pm, looking directly above me, at the zenith of the sky, I saw the brightest of the orbs, a single orb, also heading South, materialize from within a high cloud bank: these clouds I have researched and I suggest they are Cirrostratus. Because of the place in the sky it arrived, this orb remained in my view for longer than 20 seconds, being lost to sight behind trees to the south. From 4:00pm to 4:21pm, both my girlfriend and I guessed that we had seen about 1 dozen orbs, with two groups of three, two groups of two, and the rest single orbs.

The Orbs, Their Properties, and the Binoculars With my glasses on and the Binoculars well adjusted, I watched the orbs singly or in their small flights of two and three. The first group of three, though I didn't have my glasses or the binoculars then, flew in a loose pattern, one ahead of the others by twice the distance from the second and third. The two that trailed followed at perfect distance, but approximately half way through their short 15 seconds in my field of view, one of the rear objects overflew the other, switching positions. This appeared to be an smooth, non-linear acceleration and deceleration. As this was the first sighting, and I didn't have on my glasses to be sure, I thought perhaps they were stunt planes far up, and one was performing a maneuver. The rapid change of location in the formation however made me second guess my assumption.

I'll state here, I have never before seen a UFO; that is, a saucer, ship, craft or other phenomenon which I took to be extraterrestrial or black-ops in origin. I am, however, keenly interested in the subject of UFO phenomena, and I have researched how these assumed extra terrestrial and/or government vehicles and phenomena behave and move. What I saw in the first sighting from one of the three orbs immediately alerted me to very improbable behavior for a conventional aircraft.

With my glasses on and the binoculars in hand, the third or fourth sighting of orbs, a pair, were clearly visible. At first, only a single orb flew Southward from the second of the two drifting clouds, but at near half its distance in my field of view, another object appeared next to it; without a snap, more of a quick “fade in”. It was flying in unison with the first orb, but unlike the first orb, or any of the other orbs seen in this report, it was not totally a ball of light, but had physical definition. At a distance it looked less bright, and seemed to have a physical form.

My perception (through the binoculars) was that it was a dark, hard, physical object, but with a glowing orb obscuring its center. From my vantage point, given the angle from which I was viewing it, it looked like a glowing orb with two rounded “wings” or structures coming from either side of it, (as the physical parts were extending from the light orb perpendicular to the object's flight path, and seemingly level with the ground plane). On second consideration, I think I was seeing either an oval shaped craft flying parallel to its short axis, or more likely, a disc at an oblique angle. Either way, it had a bright light in the center which obscured all but the outer thirds of it. This was all in very small detail on the less-than-powerful binoculars, but allowed for at least some observation. Like the first observation at approximately 4:00pm, this darker, “physical” object changed attitudes from behind to in-front-of the other orb in the flight, though the latter never cha! nged speed or direction.

The rest of the dozen orbs before 4:21pm were regular in their appearance every couple of minutes; appearing in the same part of the sky to the East by North East, stable in their aspect of bright orb without physical form, straight travel paths, 15 seconds in view in a 45˚ field of view of the sky, at presumedly high altitudes.

At 4:21pm, the last of the orbs that I saw in this report was the orb that passed directly overhead. It, unlike the others, seemed to strobe in light intensity over a cycle of a few seconds. Perhaps growing bright then dim in 3 or 4 seconds. I was careful to consider whether I thought it was the orb passing within cloud layers, a light (totally unlike an aircraft's multiple lights and colors), or the glow of the haze-covered sun reflecting off of a tumbling object. I felt that an oscillating light was the best impression.

Other Observations in the Area, and Thoughts on Speed During this half hour that I stood in my back yard and made the sighting observations, I also decided to note as much as I could about the normal everyday sky and its more mundane occupants. Many air corridors exist over Santa Cruz, and I spotted jetliners and cargo jets flying several times. I used one jet as the object to focus my binoculars on, at around 4:10pm, and another that was invisible to the naked eye, but which left a long set of contrails that indicated it was there.

My observations were: if the orbs were flying at the altitude of the highest of the jets, they were traveling in excess of the speed of sound, perhaps more. Whatever the speed of the highest jets leaving contrails, the orbs were many times faster than that.

The lowest flight corridor of jets, flying north to San Jose airport, made the distance in the orbs' field of view in about the same amount of time as the orbs. If the orbs were at this altitude, (pretty low as jets fly considering it's an approach run to an airport, though 30 miles out), then they would be going at least several hundred miles per hour, but would have been vehicles without visible wings, no more than 10 feet across, and glowing white.

Stars, no.

Birds, I considered. Could the sun, however diffused from the hazy western clouds, have lit up the white bodies of Southerly migrating birds? I've seen many a bird here, and at the distance at which a bird's wings or head would be blurred out by its glowing body, I imagine these birds would have been traveling in speeds in excess of a hundred miles per hour, while interacting with clouds that seem to be high altitude sorts, and in two cases performing abrupt acceleration and deceleration.

Satellites, for some of the same reason as birds, seems unlikely to me.

Balloons, while arguably traveling in the direction of the wind, would be hard pressed to have one of their number twice in the sighting change position rapidly and then regain its original speed. And certainly the orb I saw above me was an actual light of some sort, and given its integration with the cloud layer, would have constituted a balloon drifting at many hundreds of miles an hour.

Final Thoughts It is my opinion, from what I know of conventional aircraft and my hometown's air corridors, and the size and speed of jets flying at various altitudes, that these orbs were not conventional craft. I do not think they were birds, and they weren't satellites to the best of my understanding of how satellites work. One had a physical form, though obscured with a bright light in the center. Another strobed in what looked to be an artificial manner. They all flew in a solid, smooth path, save the two that performed rapid formation changes. All but one seemed to appear out of the same stretch of sky, without having first traversed the path of sky to get to that point. They all moved in the same direction, along the same corridor (save for the one I saw directly above me), and they appeared at regular intervals. I have seen images and video in the past that approximated what I saw today, and I'm placing this report here to help others make some sense of what they too might have seen.

3 slow moving orbs chased by fast walker

On Friday night, 4/29/2016, between 9:15pm and 10:00pm, I observed 4 objects I could not identify as aircraft. Three of the objects were egg or spherical shape, with a red/yellow/white illumination with a slight flickering of these colors. These 3 objects were separated in time by about 20 seconds, moving towards the ocean in the direction of Monterey. Each of these 3 objects traveled at the same speed, which was slower than a small fixed wing aircraft. Both the 1st and 2nd object appeared to stop dead in the sky, at the same point in the sky, for at least 10 seconds. They then resumed their same speed and disappeared from view, but it seemed to me that the extinguishment of their light was not a function of moving ever farther away, the lights just went out. Each object was the same size, and I measured with my pinky finger held out at about 30 degrees elevation. The object took up less than half the width of the nail of my pinky finger. The objects were s! ilent, and emitted no trails. I estimate the height of these objects in the hundreds, but not thousands of feet.

I'm not sure if the third object stopped dead and moved on like the first two. I was startled to view a very fast moving streak in the sky proceeding in the general direction of these objects. The speed of this "streak" would be about the same as a military jet traveling at a supersonic speed at low altitude. While I was not startled by the initial 3 "orb like" objects, the fast moving streak seemed "wrong". Another way to describe this streak would be about the same as a meteor one can often see during meteor showers. I thought it was a meteor, but the angle thru the sky was too flat or horizontal and too low. This "streak" trailed a smoky, silverish color. There was no sound. This streak quickly vanished in the direction of the other objects. I can't estimate the size of this streaking object. It was projectile shaped.

I sighted these objects on a neighborhood street where I walk every day, both day and night. I am familiar with the behavior of aircraft - both large jets and small planes as to their lighting and travel time in this sky, as well as to what sounds could be present, or not present. Sometimes even small planes are silent at even short distances. During this sighting, both light and larger aircraft were higher up in the sky. So, the progression of lights would be these unidentified objects, with light planes and commercial traffic above them, and then the stars above those aircraft.

My guess is that the first three "orbs" could have been lanterns, except that the first two stopped dead in the sky and then resumed their travel. Another possibility is drones. The streaking object is why I am reporting this. It seems an odd coincidence that these slow moving "orbs" were chased by a very fast object.

I am writing this report about one hour after the event. I am a retired technician/engineer, 64 years old. I am offering this report in the event others may have seen some of what I did, especially the fast moving streak.

We were driving on Hwy 1 & noticed about 7 fireballs soaring straight down at the earth, almost like shooting stars.

I pulled over and they began flying straight up at the sky. Theyd get pretty high up, then suddenly disappear. As we watched more would come up. Some would go up, then down, then up, again, before disappearing, but they all disappeared at the same point in the sky. It was a little overcast.

Then I saw one part of the sky light up but only once and for a secomd.

Stratospheric Blue Light Beam tracking Orange Sun Ball.

Traveling home by south east phenomenon of blue light and hue filled my windshield. I observed that the beam of blue light was at a stratospheric altitude and projecting like a giant search light. The beam diffused into a conical shape around a focused blue beam that was almost like a neon blue in color.

I pulled over to observe and saw that the blue beam appeared to be tracking something to the north across the sky. The object it seemed to be pointing at or following, was like an orange ball, This object was radiating like a sun, projecting a yellow orange beam back at the blue beam, all while on the move to the north. The orange ball/sun had a conical shaped beam of orange that was directed down to Earth.

Neighbors confirmed sighting, and also other neighbors could be heard calling out if anyone is seeing this.

Craft emitting large white vapor cone with green beam tail.





An aircraft was moving across the sky over the ocean at the harbor, emitting a massive white lighted vapor into a triangular shape which continued to expand, and then a neon light like a beam came out of the back end like a tail. We were unable to determine the shape of the craft, it seemed either at quite a high altitude, or tiny. A few small circular puffs appeared behind the the craft as it disengaged from its creation. We could still see the craft as the white light or vapor began to dissipate. The green was the color of the northern lights and was still faintly visible when we stopped watching.

Flashing Objects hovering over the ocean near Santa Cruz, CA.

It was about 11:00 pm on Friday, September 26,2014 and I was visiting a friend when we decided to go out on the patio that over looks the ocean. My friend was the first to notice it and when I first seen it, I thought it was a small plane or helicopter. I was mistaken!! When looking at the object through binoculars it was very clear to me that the triangle shaped object was no plane or helicopter. It had lights flashing around in different colors almost like a disco ball would. It stayed in the same general area but moved it quick random movements (front2back, zig zagging, left2right). I am a huge skeptic when it comes to ufo and what have you but this incident really has me thinking twice.... should we be scared??

Two V formations of faint orange lights

Went out to enjoy the clear night sky...looked up and noticed a V formation of very faint orange lights. They would have been very easy to miss if I hadn’t gone out to specifically look at the night sky. The brightness of the moon may have made them appear dim also...very bright night.

Two V formations. One formation of 7 circular looking lights, with an additional V formation at the side of 3 lights. No sound. Moving probably as fast as a fighter jet? I really couldn't tell what their altitude was… It seemed about the attitude of a commercial jet. Moving S/E to N/W.

They disappeared over the tree tops before I could get anyone else to come out of the house to look at them.

Sphere appears in the second of three consecutive photos, and then disappears.





Arrived at the beach around 10:30 am with a couple who’ve been friends for over 30 years, to meet with their daughter, her husband and two children. We walked up and down the beach strolling the baby and when we got back, I sat on the towel under an umbrella and thought it would be cute to have a photo of their daughter in the foreground, with the grandparents walking with her older son.

The first frame I took with my phone in portrait mode. I decided to flip to landscape mode for the next two shots. I didn't see anything in the frame when I took the shot, and there weren't any kites or balls flying through the air. The beach was not very crowded on a Thursday (May 1st).

After I left Santa Cruz, drove to my next stop (Napa) and while I was getting fuel, I thought I’d review the photos I took in Santa Cruz. That’s when I noticed the sphere in the sky. I saw nothing like it that day at the beach, so I assume it is some anomaly with my digital software. Even so, I feel compelled to share the photo, because it is just too strange! I’m hoping you can debunk it or have an explanation that makes sense.

Orange floating disappearing lights.

I saw orange hovering lights that disappeared after a few minutes in the sky. Like their light fizzled like a smoke being extinguished.

The first time was about 2 months ago & I woke my husband for him to witness them. The first time I saw them these orange hovering lights that disappeared after a few minutes in the sky. Like their light fizzled like a smoke being extinguished they reminds me of miniature this is the second time I’ve seen them.

The first time I saw them they seemed far away. the first time there were lots of the & they appeared to be floating up then disappearing. This time. they were moving kinda like a drone but more bubble floating like, & they came super close to the rooftops & very close to my house. About 25 ft off the ground.

Balls of bright orange lights seen hovering over city and disappearing up into sky from Santa Cruz Lighthouse.

It was between the time of 21:45-22:00. The two objects hovering over the city lights, west of the beach cliff that my husband and I were standing on (The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk was in our view to the right of us).

We could not see any true shapes but they both looked like a ball of orange lights. I think of a soccer ball, with the black patches being the orange lights and the rest of the white patches being just black.

They hovered over the city area, the first one hovered in the same spot for at least 5 minutes and then began moving to the right.

It only moved in this direction for a minute or so, and then it halted suddenly and at that moment, it ascended up into the sky and disappeared as balloon does when it is released into the sky.

The other one followed this same pattern and ascended in the exact location in the sky as the first. It took about 45 seconds for each one to completely disappear.

Reddish/Orange ball of light seen over Monterey Bay.

My wife, three friends and I were leaving the Crow’s Nest restaurant adjacent the harbor in Santa Cruz, CA after having New Year’s Eve dinner. We’d started about 5:00 and enjoyed a good meal and conversation. None of us had had anything to drink, and we wanted to get home relatively early. We’re not big revelers… While we walked through the parking lot to our cars, I looked to the southwest, out over Monterey Bay, and noticed a reddish-orange, round ball of light in the sky. I initially took it to be aircraft headlights, as there is a flight path that crosses the bay heading to SFO and planes’ lights can often be seen. I reconsidered almost immediately though and mentioned it to my wife and friends, joking that there was a UFO in the sky. They all looked and saw it as well.

What made me reconsider my observation was, first, its color. Plane headlights are white. This was definitely a reddish orange. Secondly, there was no apparent movement. Planes usually have at least some offset of their flight path relative to the viewer that causes some appearance of lateral movement. This had none. It stood still in the air. Third, it appeared wider than the aircraft lights one normally sees in the sky at night. I’d guess that it looked nearly as wide as a pencil eraser held at arm’s length. It was about 30 degrees about the horizon.

The object stayed fixed in place for several minutes while we chatted and readied to leave. This enhanced its oddness to us, so we were all watching it when, in the course of a few seconds, it grew brighter and larger, then disappeared. I thought I recalled it moving slightly to the right as it brightened, but my wife doesn’t remember that.

After it disappeared, I suggested that it must have been a Chinese lantern. I’ve heard of such being floated in the night sky before, and being mistaken for UFO’s, but I’ve never knowingly seen one. It seemed plausible at the time though.

I’d of left it at that but for catching you on C2C yesterday (1/1/14) describing multiple reports of what sounds remarkably like what we witnessed. We were startled to hear you talk of many reddish orange balls of light being reported in the last day, because this is exactly what we saw.

I knew then that I needed to write this, my first ever UFO sighting report.

got off work to find my neighbor staring at the ocean waving me over. He pointed out what seemed to be flickering star. as we watched it darted up and down, left and right, diagonal and it was FAST. it was pretty far away so at the speed it was moving was pretty intense to look as quick as it did from our point of view. He said he had been watching for about 30 min. It stuck with me more because he is an ex-military helicopter pilot- and might know a thing or two about flight. I drove back over to my restaurant to show the kitchen guys, 2 waiters a busser, a kitchen guy and even 3 customers (the waiter told them) came out to see. At that point there were 2 'fireballs' and one had a light shining down on the water. It was really far out we could not make out the shape or what the light was on other than the water. After a few min we all went back inside then a second kitchen guy wanted to see, when we went back out there were 3. the far left one was the most volatile moving erratically. The middle one was the brightest but slower to move and would appear and disappear randomly. The far right one was the most calm and the one with the light. The light turned off, it went straight up then diagonal out of sight.

Now i am afraid to go to sleep!

If anyone knows what else that could be that would be welcomed!!

I feel this is probably a new satellite of some sort, but would like to have it on record as a sighting.

I called in a report of an unidentified flying object and left a brief message. We first saw the object around 6:30PM on October 29, 2013. Location was on the northern tip of the Monterey Bay near Santa Cruz, CA.

The sky was clear and this was the only object showing in the sky. It was very bright and looked like it was slightly moving, but it never went anywhere. It wasn’t an airplane of any sort. The object was round. I have a video I made of it with my Sony Camera 20X lens and it appears to be dancing slightly around, occasionally dipping. I don’t understand this, because with the naked eye it doesn’t appear to be doing anything.

Here’s the curious thing. It’s now 8:00PM and the object is still in the same place, except it’s moved lower, and I have to assume it’s because the earth is moving, and not because the object has moved lower.

Because of this, I feel this is probably a satellite, but I’ve lived here in the same place for the past 14 years and have never noticed it before.

I have no background in this type of thing as do none of the other observers.

Orange light ejects flares

Just as the second half of the Superbowl was starting I took out the trash, and I saw a bright orange light that appeared to be flying over Santa Cruz or maybe further south over Capitola or Aptos. The light did not blink and seemed unusually bright for an aircraft. It moved smoothly north at first, but later changed direction and headed south and down towards the ocean in the middle of the Monterey Bay. Before disappearing below the tree line, it shot what looked like a line of about 10 flares UPWARD in a rapid fire manner that only took about five seconds. The flares didn't fall, but seemed to float in place for about 10 or 15 seconds then disappeared.

At first I thought this was a helicopter, because I heard the sound of a helicopter nearby, but soon it became apparent that there was indeed a helicopter moving north, but it continued north even after the orange light changed direction. There was no discernible sound coming from the orange light nor its fl! ares.

There is a constant stream of planes flying north over Santa Cruz day and night, but this light seemed to be much lower than the usual planes, and I could see a plane fly above it at what I guess to be about 5000 feet - I think the light was at about 2000 feet before it moved downward towards the ocean. It seems likely that other craft in the sky would have seen it too.

I tried driving down the street to a better vantage point to see where it went, but I saw nothing.

Formation of 10 to 15 bright red-orange lights appeared over Monterey Bay in California

In the early evening on a clear night sky with calm winds (confirmed by weather stations), numerous (10 to 15) bright red-orange lights were seen over the Monterey Bay, in the central coast of California.

The lights appeared near the surface of the bay and looked to be slightly vibrating. However, there was no noise associated with the lights. The formation of lights behaved analogously to a flock of birds in the sky. Initially the formation was extremely tightly packed together near the ocean's surface. The lights moved very fluently and had floating like motions in which the lights had the ability to move smoothly in all directions(up, down, right, left, etc.).

The lights began to spread out in a purposeful way with a triangular formation of three lights in the center (near the rear of fleet) remaining close together in that small triangle shape. The lights were moving outward towards the open pacific ocean from the bay. The lights that spread the furthest and were closer to the direction towards open ocean disappeared 1st then the rest sequentially disappeared, but almost simultaneously. The light that was the closest to the oceans surface was the last to disappear but only by a small fraction.

Me and My friend saw a UFO, just astonished!

I was a passenger in my friends car, he was driving, heading up the coast from Santa Cruz to Davenport. About half way to our destination there's an S curve that cuts through a little valley. It was a Clear starry night, we weren't under the influence of any type and were going about 45 mph when I look up and Instantly my heart Froze, every hair in my body was sticking straight up (goosebumps), absolutely SPEECHLESS and shocked my world stopped for about 5 seconds looking at this BLUE glowing Round object as it hovers and spinning clockwise and in the middle there is a ring with smaller Circles illuminated blue was spinning the opposite way. When I first saw it, it was descending slightly, then ascended and took off in a zigzag pattern, almost felt like we were about to be abducted with the car, FAST like from 40 to 100 to 200 mph. I said to my friend, "That was a UFO, right?" The only thing he said was "I don't know what else it could have been". If only I c! an PLUg my thoughts on a Screen and produce a CONFIRMED Visual IMAGE of this Amazing thing. Hook me up to a lie detector and ill pass. I am an honest man and I am not lying and haven't told anybody, because I know what they'll be like all typical and stuff. I thought this site would be good. I know what I saw was real and it is not from this earth, I can guarantee that.

Bright light hover over Santa Cruz, CA

When we got back home after eating out we heard a huge explosion which sort of rocked the place not unlike a big aerial bomb you hear on the fourth of July.

A few minutes later maybe 10 min later we took the dog out for a walk. Down two blocks from our house and now facing north we saw 5 bright lights hovering way up high in the sky. They were a yellow-orange color. They initially hovered in the sky in no distinct formation. Slowly they started to float(?) downward and one by one faded out. It was so dramatic that a car stopped and 4 people jumped out to look at it.

Now I realize that this could have been a firework but it would have to have been an industrial/military type thing because these lights were really high in the sky. There is no mention of it in the news so far.

six orange lights fly over Santa Cruz, CA

At approximately 9:05 PM on Saturday, May 1st 2010, at my home (of twelve years) located on 38th Ave. in Santa Cruz, CA. United States I observed the following; I was sitting on the couch in the living room when I heard my wife yelling’ “babe you gotta see this”, I ran to the side porch and observed two large orange lights that seemed to be floating upwards. My view was obstructed by a tree in my side yard so I ran with my wife to the street where I observed a total of six (6) round, bright orange lights that seemed to be at a very low altitude coming from the North and gaining altitude slowly as they headed south.

They seemed to follow each other in more of a floating manner like a balloon, than that of a helicopter or other aircraft. The objects made no sound. I do not believe these objects were balloons because of their size which on a pretty clear night seamed huge. From my perspective they appeared to be about a half a mile away at their closest (about a minute after we first spotted them). And again, (from my perspective) they appeared to be the size of a bus or larger only round and bright orange. I called my daughter and her boyfriend outside with her phone to try and get video but was unable, they also saw the object’s towards the end of the incident.

From beginning to end, we probably only observed the object’s for maybe two minutes, but I will never forget those two minutes. As the objects floated upwards they disappeared into high clouds, we also observed some type of aircraft flying towards the object’s as they disappeared.

A passer by walked up and said, “Did you just see that, what was it!” we all went inside and expected to see “the lights”, all over the news and internet, but can’t find anything?? Still looking!

Group of lights moving and changing direction through the sky in Santa Cruz, CA 4/16/2010 @ 10:15 p.m.

Objects appeared in the sky that looked like stars moving across. Then one slowed down and went in a different direction and the other three that were visable slowed down and moved apart slightly. They changed directions towards the one that left and then they all came back together in an easterly direction and then there appeared to be six of them flying very close together, almost touching. They continued going north-east until we couldn't see them anymore. The strange thing was that they changed speed, direction and seemed to hover at times. there was no noise, they were just lit like stars.

1:45AM - First noticed bright small light while star-gazing at Westcliff by the Boardwalk. Discussed that it looked out of the ordinary but didn't give it much thought.

2:45AM - After driving further south towards Aptos decided to park and check out the view from nearby State Park. We again noticed the bright small light but this time there was a plane that was clearly visible with flashing red and blue lights on opposite wings that appeared to be circling the general area of the object for about 20-30mins.

At first it appeared to be random but then it continued to circle the object in various patterns and about four different angles (above/under, near/away, and behind) then departed. The small bright light continued to remain.

3:20AM - Decided to get a closer look after being surprised by what we were seeing and drove up to a better viewing spot at the entrance to State Park. That is when we noticed a boat that also had red and blue lights was in the area and moving towards the object. At which point the "light" proceeded to take off towards the horizon and seemed to dim until it suddenly disappeared. After that the boat turned a spot light on and seemed to be patrolling the area until it fixed its spotlight directly on us and held. Not sure of the exact time but we decided it was time for us to leave.

There were big, bright lights flying in two formations.

We were out walking, when we looked up into the sky and saw the most amazing light show. The lights were all in formation, one triangle and one line of lights.

Another light flew over to the formation and joined it while we were watching. It flew very fast and there was no noise to be heard at all. I heard a neighbor yell out, "Look UFOs," and that was exactly my thought too.. I had never seen anything like it before in my life.

The lights were pretty large, compared to anything I had ever seen in the night sky before. Very impressive and exciting to see.

8-10 Amber colored lights seen in the Eastern Sky above Santa Cruz, CA

In the sky to the East of Santa Cruz, CA (latitude 38) I was outside in my backyard moving the water hose when I looked up to see 8-10 bright little lights in the sky. They were kind of amber colored...kinda soft and bright at the same time. My husband says they were the color of a sodium light. They were in some formation and then broke apart and 2 began to fly southwest...I thought they were going to collide they came so close to eachother but then they just passed by one another and I turned my attention to the others and they were just moving so slowly and haphazardly that I called my husband outside....He and my 6 year old son came out and became engrossed in the lights as well...there was no sound at all... Some would just all of a sudden flicker and disappear...

I called my neighbor who is a pilot and he came outside with his wife...He said he's never seen anything like it either. The lights eventually dimmed and disappeared..

three white patches forming a dim triangle (looked like one craft) flying completely silently, low, and at constant speed (fast) North.

Low-flying, completely silent, three rectanglish maybe triangular white patches in night sky (not bright and shiny, but pale and somewhat luminous) formed a larger triangle shape. The "point" or "tip" pf the triangle leading north.

At first we thought it was three birds. But there was no movement expect the unwavering steady fast paced movement forward. constant speed and seperation of white patches soon made it obvious it was no animal. It looked as if it was low-flying, much lower than the average plane, yet it was silent.

If it was extremely high up, then it would have been extremely massive, beyond anything we know today in modern aviation.

As if to prove it was no ordinary plane, a moment or two after it passed (it was moving quite fast, and I must stress again, completely silent) a regular passenger jet plane flew overhead, (with a trajectory slightly deviated from the first unidentified craft) it was very, very high but we could still hear the jets, loud and clear, the lights on the bottom of the plane twinkled and shone and blinked. There were patches of fog so this jet had headlights that illuminated the clouds in front of it.

The first craft had no such headlights, nor any standard lights on the bottom at all. The white patches which formed the triangle did glow, as if emmitting heat, but where not shiny, there was no tendrils of light from them as there are from normal plane lights or even far away stars etc. IT was a subdued paleness that stood out against the night sky, faint, but there never the less.

The two white patches that formed the "base" of the triangle were set farther back than the lights on the wings of the jet that followed soon after.

Large Dark Glowing Semi Rectangled object chased by plane in the Sky at about 2000 feet a few minutes before midnight in Santa Cruz Ca.

I see planes cross the night sky every night. I am used to spotting commercial planes going to San Jose Airport and Military Planes going to the base coming inland off the coast as I watch the stars nightly. Last night right before midnight I had an urge to get up and went outside to peak at the moon, which was either full or very close. Clouds covered the moon partially. The rest of the sky was clear. It was a beautiful small cloud formation. Others must have seen this. Although you had to be paying close attention.

I suddenly saw an object. It was glowing, but had no lights. It glowed evenly around the craft with a slight green hue. It was more like seeing a giant shadow. It was large, massive, sort of rectangle but it had an angle that slimmed to the nose. It made no noise but the shear size of the object caused my heart to skip and me to involuntarily verbally blurt "Holly SHi%T!" I waited to see the shadow appear from under the clouds where I would really see it as it was not that high in the sky, maybe 2000 feet. I was a bit scared in honesty. It was so big and silent. It quickly came out of the clouds and what I saw was a huge glowing semi rectangular object move quickly across the sky. I could clearly see its underbelly. It was being followed by a large plane. It was not a civilian plane but it could not keep up with the craft. It certainly got a better view than I did. The underbelly had no visible markings, very stealthy. The size really shook me. It was like half the size of the giant craft in Independence Day, minus the lights etc. It was just a smooth surface glowing with a very defined shape. I would have to draw it.

The sound of the sound barrier breaking thundered when the UFO left. This could of been the plane pursuing it as it was escalating in speed. The UFO was just there and passed out of view from the building as did the plane as the sound went off.

The craft was gone very quickly but I know what I saw. If it was not a UFO unless the military has some very fast, dark, glowing planes of strange dimension they are testing.

The UFO seemed as if it was gliding effortlessly and with no sound. I could hear the plane as it came closer.

I must admit it looked just very much like the only other UFO I have ever seen with my own eyes and with my mother very close up around 1973. I can find the exact date as we had a family death later that night. I was young. It was within miles of here. 20 other people saw it as the paper wrote it up the next day. It glowed the same way and was shaped the same. But in 73 it hovered right above the trees so close my mom drove off the road and we just stared and said nothing until it just disappeared.

This craft looked the same but was moving where the one in 73 scared us both simply due to its size and left so fast, we did not see it move. I never forgot that night and the strange dark huge glowing object, only to see it again nearly 37 years later. It was just as ominously as the first encounter.

I had no time to grab my camera.

Series of lights above Monterey Bay near Santa Cruz, Calif.

Series of tightly-spaced blue-green and red-amber lights hovering over the Monterey Bay/Pacific Ocean, approximately 9 miles south-west of Santa Cruz, CA.

Very clear conditions, not a cloud in the sky.

Not a star, definitely not an airplane (though we regularly see north- southbound airliners. ...) When viewed through binoculars the lights appeared to be quickly moving (spinning?) from left to right.

This is the same general area where telescoping red and white lights appeared about a month earlier. In both cases, lights disappeared about about an hour.

Observed 10-12 metallic spheres, flying in formation, during daylight flying from Santa Cruz Mtns toward Monterey Bay.

I was outside in my back yard talking on the phone to my daughter who said my 4 yr old granddaughter wanted to talk to me.

I heard a low roaring sound like a jet and instinctly looked up toward the east for the plane, while I listened to my granddaughter ramble. I saw a metallic flash through the tree branches and thought "there's the plane". But then, I saw several other metallic flashes and I stepped out into the open looking up. There was a configuration of 10-12 metallic-type balls. At first I thought they were balloons, but that didn't make sense. Then I thought they must be birds which also made no sense. The sky was clear blue but was surrounded by heavy clouds to the east over the Santa Cruz mountains. I watched as they seem to "float" across the sky and I kept trying to figure out what they were. There were no fins, appendages or moving parts. They were perfectly spherical and silver. Then I realized they were flying in a formation of several groups of three to four in each group. The center group consisted of three. They seemed perfectly spaced. Suddenly, the left sphere in the lead group instantly "dipped" towards the lead sphere and then darted back into its previous location. I watched them move from northeast to southwest heading towards the Monterey Bay. I called the newspaper to find out if anyone else had reported seeing spheres in the sky flying in formation. They told me no. I live approximately four blocks from West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz City.

The weather had cleared, the sun had been shining for a couple of hours and so I know there had to be lots of people jogging, surfing and walking their dogs.

I can't believe I am the only one who witnessed this phenomena. I talked to my husband, who has a Ph.d in quantum physics and chemistry. He suggested balloons..maybe someone let a bunch of balloons go at the same time---but as I told him " Since when do balloons fly in formation?"

I used to work on the original F/A-18 program at Patuxent Naval Air Station. I know a little something about aircraft. These were no aircraft and were definitely metal or metallic. They were so bright with the sun shining on them.

The only other observation I found weird was the silence. The air was still, there were no birds singing, everything was just quiet.

I stood outside my apt smoking a ciggarette when I noticed an odd set of lights south east of my position. They rotated from red to white. At first I thought it may be a radio tower of some sort then realized there is no tower on the nearest hill and even if there was the lights would be closer and the tower over 1000 ft high. If it was one craft it was definetly cylyndrical in shape, but I believe it may have been 2. They hovered one over another for at least an hour and I can see from my window that they are still in position as Im typing this. Im former military and no loon I know how to identify aircraft and these are no aircraft Ive ever seen or heard of.

Teardrop contrail seen in west southwest sky in Vermont

Headed north on Route 89 in Vermont between Swanton and Highgate I noticed an object in the western sky, slightly south of west, just above the treeline, not sure of the exact distance, but it appeared to be very far away / high up. Appeared to be an object entering the atmosphere, producing a teardrop shaped contrail that dissipated a short ways behind the object. Object appeared to be entering at approximately a 30-35 degree angle, unable to determine velocity. About 10 minutes later, the object disappeared behind the trees and I was unable to track it.

A pair of orange lights rapidly crossed tha Santa Cruz sky.

While outside my home observing the positions of the planets Saturn, Mars, and Venus, I saw a pair of lights moving together across the sky in a South-to-North direction. The lights moved at a high speed, crossing from horizon to horizon in an estimated 6 seconds, straight and close to the zenith, many times faster than any aircraft or satellite that I have observed. The lights maintained their position relative to each other, but I couldn't see whether they were part of the same craft. One light was behind and to the left of the other; if one imagines a triangle moving point-first with lights on the leading point and on the leftmost point behind, with no light on the right, then one can get an idea of what I saw. The lights had an orange color similar to that of a sodium street lamp. The sky was slightly hazy, and the haze appeared to be at a very high altitude, since a commercial jet observed a moment later appeared very clearly. The lights of the unidentified object, on the other hand, looked as if they were above the haze. No sound could be heard, though I listened for a long time (since the sound of fast-moving aircraft can seem to lag behind the image). The apparent altitude and speed of the object were such that I stood agape for a few moments. This is the only time I have seen something in the sky that I could not identify.

Triangle Dim Lights, Silent, See-Through, and very Fast

A friend and I were looking up at the stars, remarking on how the constellations seemed very close together, extra high or something, when to the right of orion's belt, a triangular shape moved at the speed of light toward the North. It was silent and fast, really fast. It was clear or see-through ("cloaked"?). But, you could clearly see the shape of the triangle because 3 dim lights outlined it. Everyone we told acted like we were seeing things. It was nice to connect with this site to see others share our experiences. At the end of December, we also saw a bright object move slowly and then seem to turn red, orange, and fade away. It was in the sky for over 5 minutes. Many of us saw it that night. We were outside at a party. It happened in the same area.

5 of us were waiting for an iridium flare to appear on the No.Eastern sky,at approximately 18:43 hrs., when one of my friends got the rest of us to observe a triangular shaped craft,that suddenly appeared from the East and flew very low across to the south west. Tha craft seemed to rotate,as it flew across the sky, and was almost transparent in nature. It seemed as if you could see right through it, but definitely had a shape and lights around it. From the way it was moving, it seemed to leave some sort of trail,it almost reminded me of when you see a ship re-entering the atmosphere and there are vapor streams from friction or something. We all saw it zoom across for about 10 seconds or so and then disappeared. It did not make any noise whatsover. We were all at awe of this insident. This happened in Santa Cruz, California, Thanksgiving evening. Did anyone else see it?

Small, high-altitude reflective object moving steadily to the south over Santa Cruz, CA.

I am a 24 year old waiter and substitute teacher living in Santa Cruz, California. At approximately 12:05 in the afternoon I went to the curb to take out the garbage. I heard the sound of an airplane overhead, and I looked up to spot the airplane as I often do. I saw the airplane travelling along the usual course that I see airliners take, but before I got back to the task of taking out the trash I spotted a strange, small bright light in the sky. The light was about 45 degrees from the horizon in the northwest corner of the sky. At first the light looked stationary like a star, but then I perceived it slowly moving towards me to the east. The object moved very slowly, almost imperceptively. As I continued to watch the object, it became clear to me that it was moving to the south. At this point, the object seemed to start moving slightly more rapidly, but that could have just been my perception. The object seemed very far away and appeared to reflect light much like a star or a satellite. The object appeared to be circular to me. About five minutes into this encounter I ran inside to get my phone and called my neighbor who was out running errands. As I talked to him I continued to watch the object travel south at a steady pace. Approximately ten minutes into the encounter my neighbor came home and I pointed out the object to him. He admitted that he found it strange. He suggested that it was a balloon, but a balloon would not reflect light like that. Could I have perhaps seen the space station in orbit? This is not the first strange encounter I have had with unidentified objects in the sky. Please contact me if you can provide any explanation.

The fact that Santa Cruz sits on the California coast probably reduces the likelihood that the object was a helium-filled balloon, since it would have had to drift in from the ocean, since the winds apparently were generally from the west at the time of the sighting. PD))

Almost translucent sphere travelling at high speed/altitude across Santa Cruz, CA during the day.

I was lying on Santa Cruz beach, approx. 50 meters east of the main pier/wharf.

I spotted a light in the sky and I watched it thinking it was an airoplane, as there are many commercial flights whose path is almost directly above the beach. These planes are usually travelling in a northerly direction, heading for San Jose airport.

However the object I watched was travelling extremely fast and made no sound. It moved in an exactly straight line from east to west. To help describe the speed, imagine lying on your back with your feet pointing south, hands pointing out and the sky above is one half of a clock face: your left hand is east and also 12 o'clock; the right hand is west and 6 o'clock. I spotted the object at around 1 o'clock and watched it travel until 5 o'clock in less than 5 seconds.

As the object moved it was completely silent and left no trails. It appeared to go through brightness changes, as if light was being internally reflected off the inside of a sphere. The brightness changes were as linear as the object's motion.

I have watched many planes over the skies here and this was not a plane (well, not a normal one anyway).

We saw a soundless, dimly-lit, fast gliding craft at midnight that was unlike any aircraft known.

We were doing some backyard star gazing on a clear, moonless night when something caught our eye in the southern sky. It was on a trajectory course heading northeast and it moved unlike any other aircraft we've ever seen -- and we come from a family of aviators. It was low-flying, like a small plane (maybe 8000 feet), only faster, and completely soundless. It was dark, and had no lights on. The only way we happened to see it was due to 3 dim lights grouped together underneath the craft which were barely illuminated. It moved from one end of the horizon to the other very quickly, and we were stunned by what we had seen, as we do not know of any aircraft that could fly so low, have no lights on, and remain soundless. Definitely not a winged aircraft, either.

I saw a black triangular aircraft flying at an altitude between 300 - 500 feet - it was HUGE (bigger than any plane I've ever seen), completely BLACK except for a yellow light at each tip, and it was completely SOUNDLESS as it flew almost directly above me traveling at a normal pace for planes. This all took place as I was staring into the night sky sitting at a bus stop. Was it commercial? NO! Was it military? If it was, then I'm curious why I didn't know such an aircraft even existed. And just what would the military be doing flying this secret craft so low over Santa Cruz anyway? Was it an alien aircraft? I want to say no - but to me it's kind of just unexplainable. Also I want to add that I wasn't on any drug's or alcohol.

A large, metalic disc over the silcon valley region of California.

One Saturday afternoon I was just sitting in a chair in my bedroom. The chair was facing a large picture window exposing the northern sky; towards the Santa Cruz mountains. My eyes happen to catch a small reflection of light bouncing off an object very high in the sky. I staired at the object for about 5 minutes. After realizing it was not a plane I got a pair of binoculars. Once focusing in on the object I quickly realized I was looking at a silver, metalic saucer spinning in place high in the sky. The disc also had a pair of lights spinning around the outer edge of the disc at a very rapid rate. After watching it non-stop for about 10 minutes I got the impression that it was at least 30 to 50 thousand feet in the air and the saucer must have been as big as a football field. The most shocking thing about it was that it was in the middle of the day without a cloud in the sky.

Moon in different places in the sky.

The moon is setting in a different place again. On 07/12/01 I saw the moon set over my house directly west and three days later the moon set directly over to south in the sky about twenty feet south west, then it set three nights before. I reported that I saw the moon rise in the east and then saw it rise in the south two months ago. I think the Earth is wobbling right now from these observations. I think there is a very large space ship near the earth as to why the earth would be wobbling and the moon would appear so far off in it's orbit from night to night. Plus, there was snow on the hills this week in California during July.

Shiny, silver, metallic disc with three small lights horizontaly side by side on the outer edge and rotated.

During the first half of the year 2001 I was living in the surfing town of Santa Cruz, California. Around the first or second week of the month of May I was sitting in my bedroom one Saturday afternoon. It was a perfect California sky. All blue with no clouds at all. I was sitting in a beach chair that had very short legs so I was very low to the floor and I was facing towards the north.

I had a very large picture window and from the vantage point of my beach chair being low I could see a large portion of the sky above the Santa Cruz Mountains/Silicon Valley region. The only object that I could see was the top portion the telephone pole outside with one wire going the length of the window I was looking through. After about five minutes of looking at the sky to the north I noticed a tiny flicker of light way up in the sky. After a few more minutes I realized that it was not moving, so I payed more attention to it. The flicker and non-movement made me doubt that it was a plain. So I got up and went to the window.

I am fortunate to have perfect 20/20 vision and focused extremely hard on the light. Once I settled my vision I noticed that it was NOT a plain but something odd. I continued watching it a little longer and could make out a circular shape around the flickering light. I then went into the living room and got a pair of old binoculars that had one broken lense. I used the telephone pole and the wire as a reference point to locate the object with the one lense that worked, and then focused in on it. After I settled my arms and got the best focus I could I was shocked to be looking at a U.F.O. It was a silver metallic disc with three, small, round lights on the outer edge of the disc. They were side by side and very close together. The lights spun around the disc as it rotated in place. The disc was at a bit of an angle and was reflecting the sun off the top of the disc causing it to flicker with the lights.

The disc would also get caught in turbulence every few seconds and wobble as it spun around. I tried to time the spin by watching the lights and I estimated that a complete rotation of the lights took about 1 and a half seconds up to two seconds. The craft appeared to be up at commercial airline heights of 25,000 to 35,000 feet. Plus when I watched it with my naked eyes it seemed to be about the size of a commercial jetliner. From the time I first noticed the flicker to the end when my eyes got tired I am guessing I watched it for about 20 minutes.

My final portion of this report I would like to state clearly, the same way each witness did during the 2001 U.F.O. Press Club conference in Washington D.C. that I will testify in front of Congress to what I witnessed on that day in May of 2001 in Santa Cruz, California.

I saw the flying cigar! It was flying low, toward the north. It flew right over me. I watched it from the south and looked real closely at it because it appeared to have no wing lights,just lights at each end of the cigar shape, with a big expanse of darkness in between. It was so cool. A friend saw it too. It was NOT an jet, it made no noise, it was very large like a football field or two. Wow. No wing lights, I could draw a picture of it.

Lights at each end, white lights and little red ones flashing on and off. Long cigar shape, flying very low! Did other folks see this thing? It looked like it was headed for San Jose like the other aircraft that fly over, but then I could not see any wings so I don't think it landed at San Jose airport! It was flying much lower than the other aircraft. A jet that low would make a deafening sound but this did not. I am so excited! I reported a silver cylinder once, this was dark, not like a silvery object. I could not make out details of the under side, just that it was huge and dark greenish.

I was looking at the North Western skies at approx 07.45 A bright light came from the South It seemed to hover for a moment then shoot in a North West direction over the mountains to the ocean.

I was watching the morning news on TV when at about 07.45 I noticed out of my window a bright light travel from the Southern skies. It hovered for a moment or two then shot off in a North Westerly direction over the Santa Cruz mountains and the Pacific ocean, The whole event took about 30 to 40 seconds although it seemed longer. I heard no sound. It was not a shooting star in the daylight hours. And not an aircraft by the way it just stood still for that brief moment.

Three lights across the horizon slowly travelling from side to side seeming to dip into the water then flying high above. They were far away

The bright lights were obviously wery far away yet they at times travelled at very high speeds that seemed impossible. The lights were far away from eachother at times but seemed to mirror eachothers movements. At times, they would be directly on top of eachother moving in the same bizaar manner. A manner that did not seem logical for human purposes. I thought perhaps rescue helicopters far off shore but I ruled this out because of the incredible speed and the bizaar nature of these lights. The lights were mostly white but had glimpses of color from time to time. They were solid lights though, that never dimmed. My friend and I watched for hours and I fear that we will never Know what we saw.

This happened a while ago. It was my freshman year in college and I went to play some "midnight" basketball with some friends. The basketball courts where we were had enough lights for us to play. We were playing a full court game, when all of a sudden everyone playing basketball stopped and looked at the night sky. We saw a white tiny light. At first I thought it was a shooting start, but as it was soaring though the sky it stopped for a couple seconds, moved from left to right, and then shot right back from where it started and then disappeared. Someone stated that it may have been a satellite, but whatever it was, it scared the shit out of us cause we took off running back to the dorms.

Aug. 25th Wednesday evening at 9:30pm I noticed two bright orange lights on a ridge across a valley while standing in my back yard, I Immediately called my husband to come take a look, at first I thought maybe they were fire trucks on the ridge, but as I looked through the my binoculars I realized that they were not Fire trucks, but were actually about 15 degrees above the ridge moving in the a South West direction. I couldn't make out a definite shape, only they were round and and glowed like a flame, they never flickered and I couldn't see any lights other than this orange glow. I followed them through my binoculars as they moved slowly above the ridge for about 5 minutes, then they both seem to stop moving for about 30 second, then one of them moved down and behind the other side of the ridge and I could no longer see it, the second one stayed still, just hovering there above the ridge for about 30 seconds, as I watched it, it just turn off ? Like turning off a light. It didn't move up or down like the other one had, it just dissapeared right in front of my eyes ? My Husband and I are amateur star gazer, we've seen quite a few interesting things up here in the Santa Cruz Mtns, like Muir and a couple of comets, but I've never seen anything like this !

Writer 47 Yrs old located at W.End Henry Cowell Rewdood State Park at my Private Residence 3200 Ft. off the Pacific Coast Santa Cruz, CA watched 4 ufo's triangulate what appeared to be an area of approx. 40 miles quick turns, extream speed estimated to be South Southwestern sky possible over the ocean and mountains as from my vantage point and the estimated distance from me they could have easily move from over ocean to land. Of the four vehicles only 2 appeared as almost 200% larger than the other two. The smaller vehicles seems to tags the 2 larger vehicles in a almost regular formation or line of the larger vehicles. The night was cool and crystal clear with what was unlimited visability, so clear and dark that I could see the gas in the milky way very distictivly, planet colors, etc.

I was sitting on the front steps at my home looking at the sky, no moon out, 3200 ft. elev. in the Santa Cruz Mountains. As I looked over the topsof the trees at some distance maybe 5 to 10 miles out I noticed 4 circular vehicles. As I watched for the 5+ minutes they appeared to move in quick trangular steps, almost as in a pattern. I believe the position they moved was in the South Southwestern skies as my view was a southern exposure, always just hugging the tree tops so they would have must have been at an altitude that varied from maybe as low as -2k ft. to maybe +10K ft. At a noticable lowere left corner these vehicles, not necessarily together, the larger circles (more of a whiteish/blue with occasions of amber in color) would go from this position to a position through my center vision (assuming tht is 3200 ft.) to almost twice that height moving up and right at say 40 to 50 degrees to their top altitude so this is where I beleive they had moved to maybe 10K ft. Each of the larger disc's would have a trailing smaller disk. Comparativly looking around -2x smaller than the large disk (they had a more reddish color but at time appeared to stobe and the color became more of a flashy silver or shiney electric blue arcing color) and the smaller vehicles alway followed the larger disc without exchanging from one larger to the other, always staying in an almost direct pattern following the larger disc. I as watched I thought of what this may be, certainly not aircraft as the speed of the position changes, ratio and excess of position movement was way to complex. Testing my thoughts on this I watched the larger disc move from )using the lower triangular position above left slightly below the trees but visable throught the tree tops, it would (using the old one-thosand & one, etc. method of counting seconds) move from this position to the top position of the triangle before I could get to to one-thousand... Accounting for the estimated distance of 5 to maybe 15 miles the fact it would have travelle! d from maybe 2000 or less feet to easily 10000 feet in that time, coverning my visual horizion of say 1/10th these objects were booking some MPH. I heard no noise, no booms, nothing except wind in the trees. As each disc continued to do this I sat and watch the larger discs move at different points no mirroring no pattern copy but very simular triangular moves, each being followed by the smaller dot as compared to the larger disc the smaller vehicles actually looked like dots, but circular with diamaters. The smaller dots would at time mirror the larger disc but as a rule they would appear to stray a minor fraction of the larger disc course change and as a rule they appeared to keep varied distances from the larger disc. No real rules that I could see where the smaller disc would stay exactly in position like a trailer may in the wind, but more like if a rubber band was attached slinging behind. The smaller dots stayed the larger disc with mainly the same move but at a varied speed, sometime as if to pass it (but never did) and other times as if it was being bungeed in reverse to leave it (but never did) only to follow at diffrent rates back to the larger disc. As I watched for almost 5 minutes this dance between the 2 larger discs and 2 smaller dots for each larger disc the rate of my counting off the timing was almost always consistant until the very end of the sighting. As I watched the patterns (triangles) near the end the motions by both started to flatten out this pattern until one large disc trailed off to the right at about 10 to 15 degrees from my horizon, from a dead stop and as I thought of these seconds counting in my head, the departure off and up into the horizon was so fast my count was like one...and it was gone with the dot. The second large disc and dot stayed around for about another 30 to 45 secs. and it appeared to dash off straight in my direction, it was not quite as fast of a departure more like the pattern timing but I expected to see it get maybe a bit larger as it came str! aight towards me but it didn't and if it did I am certain because of the speed my eyes and mind probably couldn't determine a size change. In closing the only other comment is that the larger disc kept the almost bluish/white with an occasional amber coloring, but the dots were always in flux and only seems to go electric blue in color as they reached the apex of that bundged thrust either in reverse or in a forward return motion (like on a bunge cord down the up) as you reach the thrusting end motion. I sat for may 20 more minutes looking to see if there was any further action and I saw nothing unusual, a few obvious planes, a satellite a shooting star or two, but nothing else that evening. That's pretty much my report.

One large white orange to gold roundish, Looked like incoming meteor at first then slowed and did a slow complete circle up and around and down again!! Stoped and waffled alittle and was joined by 6 or so smaller orbs of light..on every 1/2 sec or so just above each other in a sequence..blinked slowly on and off then moved slow in formation one after another to tthe right and changed shape and then faded slowly .

I was walking my daughter home in the early evening....as we approched the long drive in to her mothers apartment complex we saw what looked like a meteor..very large and beautiful if a bit slow. I thought .. a comet?? But it was goldish and throwing a long orangish trail of sparks...then it did a slow upward swirl and I just about lost it...We had to move 30 ft or so with our view blocked by trees untill we reached the driveway where we saw it again and this confimed that it was quite distant and not a kite or somethig close by. Two other people shouted...Can you see it?? What the heck is it??? We hurred up to join them looking about 15 degrees about the SE horizon into 98% darkend sky. The object was waffleing to and fro fading in and out geting larger and then smaller. It is hard to say how large but I would estimate at least fifty feet or so in diameter.. maybe much larger. It was whitish to gold..mostly gold or amber. after about 30 sec or so just above the first object a smaller by 1/5 or so light appeared just for a sec followed by another just above it and then another and another...about 6 in all additional smaller lights. It was compleatly in sinc one after another in a stack above the large object. They then twinkled a little and moved one at a time of to the right each one further than the previous changing shape near the end of travel into a kind of oblong fluidlike blob and slowly fading out. This was I guess 2min or so and they twinkeled and swirlled around and took off...fading as they went. We saw the strobes of approaching aircraft(conventional) moving in from the west...and that was it.

We experienced multi-colored lights from the sky which appeared to be illuminating from four objects shaped like softballs.

It was approaching early morning, and myself and two friends were waking up from a nap in the Crown-Merril meadow. Upon opening my eyes I saw a very bright light which was a mixture of yellow, orange, and red. At first I thought it was the cops shining their flashlights, but then I realized they were coming from the sky. They appeared to be coming from the north, and heading south out into the Monterey Bay. They loomed above the field for approximately 4:20, according to my swatch watch. Before they sped away they flashed what appeared to be signals with the lights on their spaceship. However, we are unsure what their signaling patterns meant.

Sitting on the beach, a man yelled and told people to look at the sky. many observed the craft. Material did not look like metal

The craft moved very quickly through the sky, it looked nothing like an airplane, and moved too quickly to be one. Although it did move quickly, it was easy to see the craft in detail. After about 15 min . of following the craft it was gone. The craft did not come close to land, it remained high in the sky. The craft looked like a disk with three to four poles comming out of the top. It did not look like it was made out of metal, but some other almost cloud like material. The craft was white. I was not able to see the material it was made of easily, as it was high in the sky on a very sunny day. I know more people saw this. The beach was crowded and many people were looking at the craft. I am a student at a nearby university

A comet-like thing, about the size of a dinner plate. It had a tail that was greenish with sparks in it. No sound.

I came out of my friend's house about 11:46pm on April 21, 1998. I walked to the end of her drive towards my car and saw this comet-like thing in the sky. I looked towards her house and she had just closed the door. I knew if I went to get her, by the time she got there it would be gone & I wanted to see more, so I watched by myself. It went from the top of the sky, down past the horizon, right to left. I saw it for about 15 seconds. It was a circle that was a little bit bigger than a dinner plate from where I was and it had a tail that was greenish and had sparks in it, sort of like the sparks from when a knife is being sharpened. It reminded me of a comet, but much, much bigger. It didn't make any sound. It moved quickly,but not as quick as a shooting star & it didn't disappear into the atmosphere like a shooting star -- it remained the same size & I could see it clearly until it disappeared past the horizon line. I'm a mother of 3 children and a childbirth educator.

It was night and I saw large lights coming toward my house in Santa Cruz California. I was standing outside in my driveway when I saw them coming from the Monterey Bay/ocean area and heading in a northwest direction.

I believe it was the same craft reported on your site seen in San Jose that night. It came from the southeast (Monterey Bay) and was heading northwest. I also thought it was a plane going to the San Jose or SFO Airport until it flew over me. At that point I noticed it was going too slow to be an airplane, although my friend said "wow a stealth bomber!". There was no sound, it was very low, very large and moved slowly over us, over my house toward the Santa Cruz Mountains. Once over the mountains it would be in the San Jose area. There were very large unblinking lights on each tip that showed the shape of the craft as it flew overhead as a triangle. I wish I spent more time observing it but since my friend said "stealth bomber" that's what I thought it was. It was only later I realized a stealth bomber would probably be going much faster, be flying much higher, and make noise. As I noticed, the lights were so bright that they clearly revealed the shape as triangular. Time on this report is approximate.

My roomate was taking a picture of me on a mountain. When he snapped a picture of the craft also. I was electrified or something and my roomate does not remember what happened after he took the photo. All i know is i was back at the car by my friend, right after the shot was taken.We both realized that about an hour or so was gone.

There were no sounds or lights about the craft. It all happened like if it was a dream. For the rest of the day we were in a stuper. We doubted the whole incident more and more as the day went along. About a month later we developed the picture.

Noticed in rear view mirror object depending slowly behind us and to our left. Came forward towards us and paralleled our car, about 20 feet off the ground above the fields to our left about 100-200 feet away. Strange white color, like burning magnesium, and was spinning very rapidly from left right. We kept asking each other, "what the hell is that?" many times. Next thing I recalled, I was staring at my feet, and relaxed, when the inside of the car lit up like an old fashioned flash bulb. I then looked over my left shoulder and saw the object several hundred yards behind us and to the left. It instantly took off and was over the horizon in 2 or 3 seconds The other witness was my fiancé at the time, and she was dazed, and refuses to discuss it. It was about 40 feet across and no more than 20 feet off the ground, and got very close 1-200 feet, at it's closest point. I was a database analyst at UCSC at the time, and my fiancé was a student. I previously had held a Q clearance and did work for the government as well as my father, in quite sensitive positions.

Strange craft observed over Santa Cruz CA.

I first observed the craft as a bright white light coming in over Monterey Bay. It appeared to be a landing light from an aircraft which was much to low to clear the mountains for a landing in San Jose. On my way outside I noticed the time as 12:44 am. The craft passed over at approx. 1-2000 ft. and at a viewing angle of approx. 45 degrees from vertical. It was approx. the length of an airliner and cylinder shaped and rounded at both ends. There were 7 round porthole shaped openings along the side and 5 square areas colored as if subjected to heat. There was a horizontal circular ring that had movement like liquid moving around the ring. There were vertical lines of descending from the rings that came together as an apex to form a cone. The cone in front was a light gray color and the one at the rear looked like liquid gold moving around the ring and upt the vertical lines. When it passed from my view I returned inside my house and took note of the time. It was 12:49am. The next day I took compass bearings and determined its course at approx. 355 degrees magnetic.

Football shaped object seen over house in country along with three objects hovering over road.

On a late summer night, my sister, her friend, and I were heading from Toledo OH to my aunt's house in the country. We became lost for two to three hours down a rural country roads in or around Swanton OH. As we were driving I noticed lights within the trees which were brighter than normal house lights but I paid no mind thinking it was a house or cabin.

Approx two hundred yards from the trees we came across a corn field at which time my sister's friend slammed on the brakes and said ," What is THAT?" As I looked I noticed aprrox 25 yards away from the road was two story house with a large barn and a combine and approx ten to twenty feet above the house was an object shaped like a football beaming different color lights. We immediately stopped and starred in disbelief as we tried to figure out what we were looking at. In my mind, I ruled out all known hovering vehicles such as blimps or helicopters. This football shaped object made no noise, created no wind, and was approx half the size of the house. We all became terrorified as my sister's friend drove slowly passed the house. I looked to my right and noticed a State Trooper parked with no lights also watching the object. At that time, my sister's friend did the quarter mile in what seemed like ten seconds. I told her to slow down because of the Trooper. As we slowed I looked out the back window of the car and saw three identical object approx five hundred yards behind us which was ten to twenty feet over electrical wires in formation moving slowly across the road.

I have told few people of this story and the people I have told do not believe the me or poke fun. My sister who is now a devote Christian denies these events. I was sixteen years old at the time.

Since then I have served four years in the Marine Corps in a line unit, flown and seen many helicopters, and witnessed many things in the military. However, with all that I have experienced I know what I saw that night. I know this was not a helicopter because helicopters while stationary cause enormous down drafts, in fact hurricane force winds. I'm not saying it was little green men from Mars, it was by definition UFO's.

I was not amazed or awestruck by the objects, only frightened at something I could not identify or explain.

hovering ball of moltant lava 15 ft from me took of at speed of light......

well, when i was 12 my friend and i were swimming in my pool. i dove off the deapend and swam to theshallow, my friend followed shortly after, i came to the serface first by about 10 seconds and when i wiped my eyes and looked up about 30 ft above a 40 ft. tree in my yard only about 15 ft. away from the edge of the pool, was a floating ball of moltant lava huvering above as if it were watching us specifically. i bagan chanting "oh my god!" and my friend came up and saw it too. we stared at this ball as the lava swirled around it. it litterally lookes identical to when lava is moving and its red and black rock. after a few minutes, it backed up slowly about 15 ft. higher in the air then it took of o fast that BAMB it was gone, then we saw it in the high sky near the stars and it stopped again, then it took off so fast it left a strak of light like a shooting star and BAMB it was gone again. the entire time it was above us, it was completely silent and litterally, we checked the time before it happend and after and though it had ltterally been minutes between times checked and the clock stayed at midnight, the watch stopped then started again a couple minutes later. Have you ever seen anything like that???? a few days later another friend and i decided to go to a friends house where we could see the whole capitola and monterey bay and we saw 2 flying disks that evening and 4 black helicopters flew in and surrounded it, they had a stand off for about a half hour then the saucers whent up and flew off at the speed of light and vanished, then the helicopters flew away. it was wierd. I looked up and saw a bright light, bright for a couple minutes, there were these strange "mist" rings that were below the light itself, concentric rings with a space between them, about three in all. Dude, it was fantastic. Then the light suddenly diminished in size, took an angled turn and disappeared up into the sky..

A strange, faint, pulsating point of light was observed heading very slowly south amongst the stars in the night sky.

I don't recall the day, but I remember it was in May of 1992. It was a clear, dry, comfortable night...I think about 60 to 65 degrees (but I don't recall exactly). I was looking up at the stars in the night sky around 3 am during a routine hourly weather observation in a rural area of very little street lighting, when a very faint, pulsating, pure white light directly overhead caught my eye. It was about as large as, and otherwise resembled, a small star, and could easily have been missed in a well-lit area. It appeared to be moving very slowly in a north to south direction amongst the stars, and it gave me the impression that it was many thousands of miles away. It moved straight and steadily, and I would estimate the pulsations to be about one per second, with the brightness peaks about twice the magnitude of the lulls. After about a minute, it got down to an elevation of about 80 degrees south (still nearly overhead) and then gradually faded.

4 dim lights lt orange in color flying extremely low just above redwood tree line totally silent

I walked out on my back deck. I noticed it was extremely dark out and extremely clear sky. something made me look up when i did i noticed 4 lights moving on an object directly above my home. It was absolutley silent the 4 lights were under the object which appeared to be in somewhat of a square in shape the lights were not bright they were dim and had an orange tint. it was moving from the south (away from the ocean) to the north, it seemed to be flying just above the treeline (redwood tree) of the tree next door it moved at a slow steady speed as it passed over my house i yelled for my wife as I ran through the house to front door in hopes it would still be in view from the front yard. it was gone. It took me a few minutes to comprehend what I had just seen. I phoned 911 to inquire whether anyone else had reported seeing any strange low flying objects, i was referred to the faa.

This took place at the campus of University of California at Santa Cruz

While walking to class I hear a flooppping sound. I looked up above the redwoods....maybe 20 feet above them....so say about 50-70 feet in the air I see a White plane. Cessna sized....the plane was all white with with a a very large propeller in the front.

The plane made almost no sound, and was incredibly low to the ground.

On the left hand side from underneath a pod with a long antenna came from behind. It was mounted under the wind. Clynder probably about 8-10 feet long with a 3-4 foot antenna out the back.

The sound fo the twapping sound which was faint would be about once every 7/10ths of second.

The angle of the hill had the plane going North to South and downhill. It was almost gliding. There were no markings on the plane at all. Zero....nothing on the tail or under wings. I had a viewing angle from side...then I quickly ran to see it going away I have basically assumed this was a sample of Military spy craft...as Lockheed has a development above the University.

If flying at night...and or painted black.....this craft could fly overhead of people or areas with very very little notice.

I am sure I saw this.....and lean towards earthly device...but would be classified. It was like a glider with a huge propeller. The body was more substantial than a glider...more like Cessana.

If you need more info....I would be fine with calling back after you email. This was not anything that would fly from a normal airport....unless I missed hearing about a virtually silent plane.

We wonder whether the witness might have observed the YO-3A, a silent aircraft designed for use in Viet Nam. It used to fly out of Moffett Field in San Jose. It is built on a glider frame, and is similar in appearance to what the witness describes. PD

Approx 1984 during a winter month, I was driving NE on Rio Del Mar Blvd in Rio Del Mar CA (Aptos, Santa Cruz County) with 3 housemates. The time of day was close to sunset. To my left over a house there was a Flying V shaped craft with approx 4 beams of white light emanating from the base of the craft on and around the house. The lights moved independently and were similar to very bright spot lights, not diffusing or getting wider. The craft was maybe 100 feet in altitude, was grey in color and was traveling at what appeared to be 3-5 mph. I'm guessing that the wingspan was approx 100 feet wide (more or less). I stopped my vehicle and observed the craft passing me and when it was at about at a 10:00 angle from my drivers side window it slowly disappeared. I was too choked up to tell my housemates who were in the car with me. I had posted this event maybe 20 years ago and I noticed that my documentation had somehow disappeared from the internet.

Light in the sky

I was riding my bike up the hill to the university UCSC. I stopped to take a rest in the grass and was watching the lights over the bay and noticed a bright white light moving in my direction. The light continued towards me it was right over me and at that point I noticed that it was a very large black craft. Im not sure if this is the correct place to explain what happened to me when i was ten years old back in the mid seventies..but it wont hurt to tell my story. It was a week of my life that kinda haunts me to this day. I havent discussed this to anyone before..because..it does sound kinda crazy..but the older i have become and the more ive learned about alien life forms..the more creepier i felt about what happened to me back then. Ill start off first by stating what i believe...I believe through my learning and hearing about how aliens basically make their own humans..by impregnating women....in lack of better terminology..using humans..human Dna whatever..they have the technology..like we almost do..to make their own humans. Who knows....that couldhave been the way Mary got impregnated with Jesus....CRAZY? Yeah some people think so..but ??? Anyways...i was ten or eleven years old and i signed up for this soccer camp one summer. The soccer camp was more than a soccer camp..cause it bused all the kids who joined way up into the mountains to camp and play soccer and fish etc...It was alot of fun. West Valley Soccer camp was the name of the "oganization".A couple of really weird things happened to me that week...and at the time i just shrugged them off, and didnt pay to much thought to any of it....but the events are still with me today more than ever..and im 37 years old now.

Now this could be just innocent weird things that happened that have nothing at all to do with other life forms..but who knows maybe someone else might have had something like this happen to them too. Well..all the kids in the camp slept in bunk beds in lil cabins. One morning,,all the kids awoke..and wheni woke up..from the top bunk..immedaitely the kids that in the cabin strting asking me what happened to me that night. Did i fall out of the bunk?? Why did they see a couple of the older counselers carrying me and putting me back in bunk in the middle of the night??? Now i had no recollection or memory of any of this happening to me. That in itself is really bizarrre because..if i would have fallen out of bed i would have remembered. Well..one more event took place...they had a big 7 mile hike they called it..where the counselours and kids would all hike somewhere for 7 miles and camp out for the night and the next day hike back. Well yeah..it waqs at least 7 miles..and when we came to the place where everyone was going to camp for the night...it was a public lil campground or something but the oddest thing that didnt trip me out then but does now..was that all over this lil camp ground..posted on the trees...and taped to the port a pottys..was these papers stating that campers should be aware of some kind of bubonic plague or something that was out of control in the wild animal population in the area. Were these signs there..to scare away people and make this area ideal for the "Soccer camp counselors"?. I dont know...but i do know one thing.,..i woke up in the middle of the night..a hundred yards away from the other campers who were asleep...just .. i guess"walking in my sleep"???? In that week two things happened to me that never before or after happened to me ...it was just all too weird.

My friend and I were playing basketball in our driveway, when a UFO appeared directly overhead. It almost filled the sky. A rough estimate today: Elevation 250', Craft diameter 200-300'. It remained motionless and silent overhead for approximately 2 seconds. Black smoke billowed out of it. Then it re-appeared over our neighbor's house, some 300 yards to the NW. It paused for approximately two seconds and then disappeared.

My friend and I ran into the house and called our science teacher. He asked "did any adults see it?" We said, 'no.' He then responded, "Forget about it.' But we never have and both remember the same details, many years later.
