HIGH SPEED BRIGHT WHITE OBJECTS PASSING OVERHEAD

Was outside looking up at the full moon and two white lights passed overhead from NW to SE. Initially thought they were Starlink, one behind the other (if you held your fist overhead apart) as I've seen Starlink before; but their speed and brightness caught my attention (brighter than any satellite I've ever seen and the brightest in the sky at the time especially with the full moon and local light pollution). In my field of view due to trees for only an estimated 3 seconds which would mean they went from horizon to horizon in less than 20 seconds.

Bright, glowing orange orb that followed us on our hiking trip and back home.

As we were hiking through desert mountains, in the sky above the mountains next to us there was a bright object which at first appeared to be a planet or just a very bright star. We were walking for about 20 minutes and forgot about the bright looking star. As we turned back and retraced our steps, we saw that the bright light moved across a distance of half a mile. It seemed like it was moving so all four of us stopped to watch it, and it was essentially floating but not totally still. It was hovering. Glowing orange orb. Almost like a fireball. Very bright. The rest of the way back to our original spot, we watched in awe as this orb literally followed us and stopped with us whenever we stopped along the way. It followed us from the hiking spot, to our car, and we could see it the entire time we drove home miles away.

Three lights seen fly over mountain.

Early morning, I stepped outside and saw three separate lights. Each was roughly the size of a vehicle. The formed a triangle, but seemed to be independent of each other. Two lower points were yellow, the upper middle point was orange. They quickly ascended the height of the surrounding mountains and just as fast hugged the top of a ridge and passed over and out of sight heading west. They did not continue upward, but back down the opposite side of the mountain. They were VERY large, made no noise. They traveled at a steady and high speed. I have lived in the La Quinta cove my entire life and have never seen an aircraft move over these mountains they way they did.

Dark amber/orange light seen hovering in night sky in La Quinta, CA with no sound and that ascended vertically to disappear.

While driving in a gated community in La Quinta, CA, at approximately 8:10 pm, I saw a dark amber round light, almost orange, hovering at the height of an approximately 20 to 30 story building. I thought it might be a light at the top of a black tower that itself wasn’t visible in the partially cloudy black sky (and that I’d never noticed before). I slowed at the next intersection and rolled down my windows (and turned off radio) to listen for an aircraft sound. There was complete silence, not even the sound I’ve heard with drones. I could see it wasn’t attached to any tower or anything.

I waited for the object to move like an aircraft. Initially, it remained motionless. There were no other lights. I thought I could make out one side of the outline of an angulated black body surrounding the light. But I couldn’t be sure. I turned the corner, pulled over and pulled out my phone to videotape the object, as it was starting to progress toward the west. I was able to get brief video of the light. Then it ascended up into the cloudy sky (not laterally) and disappeared. My viewing lasted approximately 90 to 120 seconds.

Dozens of bright star-like orbs moving together rapidly across the sky (not in formation). Traveling south to north. All were moving about the same fast pace, but some would slow and/or slightly change directions. When they got to be directly overhead they appeared to stop and just hover.

We continued watching and they remained overhead and moving a little side to side, back and forth. At this point, it seemed they were moving away from the earth (vs. across the sky as before) because they started to fade.

Watched for another five minutes and they continued to fade. They continued to shift around, moved back and forth and around each other as they left. Stopped watching as they became too difficult to see.

On 110814 I was vacationing with family (wife and child) in La Quinta Ca. After spending the day hours in downtown Palm Springs we returned to our rental in La Quinta, Ca. We changed and headed for the pool. We rode our bikes from our home to a pool located near the main gate of the community. We swam in the pool and then moved to the hot tub.

While in the hot tub, we relaxed and stargazed, as we often do while we are there. I began looking west towards the Santa Rosa Mountains admiring the numerous stars in the night sky. We talked about how dark it was compared with home for same time of evening, it was around 1815 to 1840 hours. We chatted about how many stars were visible and how pleasant it was out.

A movement in the sky next to a 2 palm trees which line the interior SW corner of the pool landscaping caught my eye. I thought at first it must be the shadow of a large bird flapping its wings. It took a second for me to realize it was not bird in flight. The object was not just behind the palm tree but in the sky beyond it. It occupied the airspace between my location and the mountain. As it moved across the sky from behind the palm tree I saw it was large. Its size made it difficult to judge its actual dimensions (I would guess as large as a commercial airliner) or its altitude in the sky. Frankly, its appearance confused me so could only base my observations by comparing it to the mountain and palm trees. From my vantage point it was as large as the top of the palm tree fronds (not its actual size but the object was in the distance and still looked about the size palm tree top) This palm tree is about 40 feet tall and the object was about the same size in the sky. Its altitude seemed to be no more than the height of the mountain that runs adjacent to the community on the far west side.

When I first noticed the object it seemed blurry. (I use the term blurry only because I can not properly describe what was happened to the surface on the triangle for the first moments until it became clear/focused). It moved into a clearing passed the palm trees at an angle just in front and above me. There were no obstructions between myself and the object. It was literally right in front of me.

The night sky was my backdrop as it moved across the sky. It was a large equilateral triangle. Its height was far less in comparison to its length of its sides. (I could not see the top and saw nothing protruding above it) The outside of it was darker than the night sky but it blended into the sky above it. The object itself was black and seemed shiny when it was at its most focused point (meaning the shape was blurry and then came into focus). I could make out the outer edges of the triangle and also the whole body as it blocked the stars in the sky it passed in front of. I could not make out any surface details.

Each corner of the triangle housed a round light. The lights were not small beacon lights but quite large. The round lights were not extremely bright and seemed a muted yellow even dim. The lights did not pulsate or flash like airplane beacons either. It also appeared clearer to me the more directly in front of me it was. It continued across the sky until it was NE of me. It passed behind more palm trees at which point I lost it in the sky and could no longer locate it. The object made no noise and seemed completely silent.

The aircraft moved from the SW towards the NE across the sky. It moved slowly but never stopped, slower than a C130 at an airshow slow. The entire aircraft slowly rotated on its axis. I believe it rotated counter clockwise. It did not change direction or altitude. Its movement across the sky seemed effortless. It seemed to float in the air like a raft would float on the water but light like cottonwood seed fuzz. A smooth movement like a ball bearing rolling across a glass top table. Its movement was very different than any plane, helicopter or balloon I have ever seen. Smooth, slow, light and effortless.

During the time I was watching the object, I attempted to point it out to my wife and young son. Neither were able to see it and they told me I was quite excited while pointing toward it and not making much sense to them. I described to them what I saw; "a large triangle with three round lights in the corners slowly rotating as it moved across the sky." Important things about this siting. This was a calm night with little to no breeze. This particular community proximity to mountain makes flying a plane, helicopter too dangerous/not possible especially at night without lights. The community has only ground lighting. The community is far away from city lights. The community is flanked by the Santa Rosa Mountains to the west blocking all light pollution from the west. The community is also far away from urban areas and is quite quiet, especially in the evenings. The object was much lower than any plane I have witnessed above the property. Most planes I have seen are flying at cruising altitudes far above the mountains. The helicopters I have seen are military and also fly well above the mountains. I believe we had a full moon on the 8th but the moon starts low at the horizon line until it moves upwards into the sky later in the evening. Also reported to MUFON.

My wife and I were on vacation in the dessert staying in a rented house.

We were in the hot tub at the time of the incident.

Looking up at the stars we observed three circular objects of light going round in a circle.

After a few minutes these objects came from a great height to around what seemed like 50 or 60 feet above our heads.

All the time they appeared to be chasing each other round in a circle.Once they just circled our house one could see inside each ring activity or what I would describe as electrical charges.

After a few more minutes one of the circles just broke off and flew upwards at great speed.The same thing then happened to the other two.

Two bright white lights moving incredibly fast across the sky

I was in my backyard, it was around 9 or 10. I looked up into the sky to look for airplanes. I suddenly saw two bright object , they looked something like the headlights of a car. They shot across the sky towards the mountains perfectly even with each other. The lights then merged into each other and became one light just for a second, then they seperated again away from each other like the top of this Y.

They then rapidly disappeared. The obects appeared to be as high as the jets at 30000 feet(there was one not far away). I know for a fact it wasn't a shooting star, there was no tail, it moved at least 10 times faster than a jet, It wasnt a sattelite.I am a masters educated ma who has always been a skeptic until now!

Abnormally bright object moved across the night sky at very low altitude in a slow, momentumless "surging" fashion.

My wife woke me up this morning because she thought she heard a noise outside our house, such as a prowler or animal. I walked around the house to check on things and look out various windows into our front and back yards. I ended up back in our bedroom where we have a set of French doors with windows looking into our back yard/Northern sky. Immediately my eyes were drawn low into the sky where I saw an extremely bright white light. It actually looked like a close cluster of lights rather than a single solid bright light. The object hung completely still, low in the sky. My first though was that I was looking at a helicopter, but upon closer inspection there was simply too much light coming from this object. With the distance it appeared to be at, 2 miles away, the area the light was occupying would have been about the same size as an entire helicopter. The light did not fade or grow in intensity either, so the object was not moving toward or away from me. It appeared to simply hover there.

I stared at it as it hung there in the sky for at least a couple minutes. I remember thinking that I wished it would move or turn so that I could get a better idea of what it was. You know, we all have a pretty good idea about how an airplane or helicopter should appear to move in the sky. Although it looked and “felt” odd to me, I still wasn’t ready to call it a UFO. My wife noticed I was still staring out the window and asked me what I was looking at. Not wanting to sound crazy, I simply said “the sky”. About 15 seconds passed after she spoke to me the object started to move, very slowly, to the east. It maintained its low altitude in a perfectly straight line as if it was on rails. I see airplanes in the sky from my back yard all the time. The amount of light this thing was putting out was simply abnormal, even if you consider the possibility that I was looking at airplane landing lights, or a helicopter “night sun” spot light pointed perfectly in my direction.

What finally made me think that I was not looking at an airplane or helicopter was the way it moved. Its movement and acceleration was not smooth. It would sort of surge forward a little, slow down, surge forward, slow down, surge, slow etc. The object’s total speed was very slow, so the surging was sort of subtle, but was still very noticeable. It did not move smoothly across the sky as an airplane or helicopter with momentum would. I should also mention that’s it’s acceleration from stop to its “cruising speed” appeared instant and effortless. As for sound, it was silent. There was no aircraft or other types of sound other than normal early morning ambient, which is pretty quiet in La Quinta, CA at this hour. We have a local small aircraft strip nearby about a half mile away, but the planes landing and taking off from there can be heard and seen quite easily. There was no wind this morning either, it was calm.

At this point I wanted my wife to witness what I was seeing, so I said calmly to her, “want to see a UFO”? She was still awake from being startled by what she thought was a noise outside our house, and because I was still investigating. We were both very lucid. She said, “There is no UFO”. I then told her to come and look, and she could tell I wasn’t joking around, so she jumped right out of bed and walked over to me quickly. In our decade plus of marriage, I had never asked her to come and look at a UFO. I pointed the object out to her, which wasn’t difficult, and she watched it move. I told her to note how it was moving in a (for lack of better word) “surging” fashion, and that airplanes/helicopters do not move like that. She agreed, and we watched the object disappear behind our neighbor’s roofline. After this I stepped outside and tried to get another glimpse of it, but it was gone.

It’s important to note, that if you look to the North from my back yard in La Quinta, you can see mountains, which are part of the San Andreas fault line. The base of the mountain is only about 5-6 miles away from my house. It was easy to see that the object wasn’t very far away, and was very low in the sky. If I had to guess at the altitude I would say 400 - 500 feet above the ground.

I am an IT professional, and my wife is an interior designer for one of the local home builders. I have an extremely open mind when it comes to subjects such as UFOs, but this is the first time in my life that I felt the need to report a sighting, and it’s the first time since childhood that I saw something in the night sky that was strange enough to qualify for me. I am open minded, but also very analytical. I wasn’t simply looking at a “bright light in the sky”. What prompted me to make this report was how it moved, as described above. If there is a logical explanation for how a “known” aircraft can exhibit a perfectly straight, visibly “surging”, very slow movement across the sky, I would like to know what it is.

Sunday, April 10th, around 1pm I noticed a round object in the sky. It didn't go fast, but changed shapes and disappeared into the sun.

On Sunday, April 10th around 1pm I was looking up at the sky and saw what I thought was a white balloon, as I was watching it, it seemed to change shape.

I called my friend out to see what I was seeing. This person thought it was a plastic bag, but I pointed out it was up to high. After watching it for a few minutes my friend decided it wasn't a plastic bag, that maybe it was a weather balloon. I didn't agree with that either.

We kept watching it and we noticed it was changing shapes and the speed varied, at some points it even seemed like it was staying in one place. It was going towards the sun. We got some binoculars and noticed it had something orange in the middle of it.

It got closer to the sun and then disappered into the sun but about a minute later returned on the other side of the sun and stayed in one place. I went to get a camera to take a picture and my friend stayed outside to keep watching, when I came back out in less then 30 seconds it was gone.

It never reappeared. I don't know if it was an ufo but don't know what else it could have been. We called the weather station to see if any weather balloons or anything else was in that area. The answer was no.

I looked on the internet to see if anyone else encountered this but have found nothing. I just wanted to share it with someone. It was the most bizarre thing.

Strange jet-trail-like thing sighted over mountains

At about 6:00 PM, I called my friend to let her know that I was probably going to be late to her house (I was supposed to come over). However, while I was on the phone, my friend was talking and talking about some strange thing in the sky, that she couldn't exactly describe very well. I wasn't so terrified of it, because I wasn't a believer at the time, and I'm still sort of doubting the existence of aliens. Well, my friend was telling of an object that zoomed into the air from the mountains, zig-zagged, and finally disappeared, leaving a very prominent trail. As my friend said, there was a red circle surrounding it, but she wasn't able to describe the circle very well (like whether the circle appeared when the light disappeared, or how big the circle was...etc), so I'm doubting the existence of the red circle in the event. Well, while I was still talking to her on the phone, actually on my cell phone and she on her cordless phone (while she was outside checking out the strange light), our connection began to get more and more static. After a few minutes, Bridget had an idea that she would go and get her dad's digital camera and take a few pictures. This was when the light had disappeared suddenly into the mountains. By this time, it was approx. 6:20. Bridget took the pictures, and after coming over, I was able to see them. When I got to Bridget's house, the jet-trail was still very prominent. The trail just stayed in the air, without leaving until about thirty more minutes later. Also, at the points where the trail began to turn to make the trail a zig-zaggy form, there were bright lights. The top of the trail was already beginning to drift right, because of the wind. My friend and I decided to look at the pictures then. All the pictures that Bridget took of the UFO contained orbs. Bridget took a picture of me then, to check whether the camera lens were dirty or not, and the picture of me came out perfectly fine, and without orbs. After thinking and thinking about this event, I knew that the UFO had b! een in t he Earth's atmosphere, because the wind could blow the jet trail away. The jet trail was vapor, I think, because after thirty more minutes (6:40 PM), the trail had faded. Also, before taking the pictures, when there was still some sunlight left in the sky, my friend and I could see a small rainbow, probably from the sun shining through the prism. I highly doubt this is any UFO event, because we do have a air base near by, and they were probably doing some experiments/tests/launching missiles. But the occurrence just seemed so unnatural, because of it's zig-zag shape and the bright lights at each point, and how the light just disappeared. Another thing I'd like to point out is that my friend, who witnessed the whole thing, saw the light coming from somewhere behind the mountain, meaning it was probably under 2000 feet. Either the UFO landed, or the people at the air base were doing some experiments. Another thing, although this might be totally off subject (but I did hear orbs may have relation to dead people or angels), my friend's friend was shot in the chest, and found on March 14, 2002. My friend found this out March 15, 2002, so perhaps the orbs were intended for my friend (does that make sense?). I just wanted to clear the situation up, so maybe you can help me determine whether the object was an UFO or not one. Thank you very much!

My 13 year old son was never scared of the dark till now.

My son who has never been scared of the dark was laying in bed and all of a sudden green lights come into his room from outside his bedroom window. They hovered and blinked. He was so scared he cold not move. He tried to wake his little bother but could not wake him. After a few minutes there was a rumble out side his window and the lights and noise went away. After that all the Dogs started howling. I got up to yell at my dogs but my son did not tell me till the next day. Now my son is very scared of the dark. He has to sleep with the lights on now. He told me that he don't want the lights out because he thinks something will come for him but he can't say what.

4 lights in diamond shape formation

It was about 23:35 PST I was sitting in my living room and just happened to look out the window and saw 4 lights in diamond shape formation. They were kinda large to the fact that I would hear something if they were planes or helicopters. They kinda lingered for a second or two the last light went out of formation and them went back in formation and sped off very fast leaving only a light trail with dissapeared very quickly. I got up and ran outsite and they were gone.
