Looked up when in yard. Saw hazy cloud w/bright center. Tried to take video, but picture instead. As soon as picture taken, it vanished

I went to my back yard in evening (9:07pm) to discard some trash. Looked up to see a single, large, hazy object seemingly still and noiseless high up in night sky. It was smaller than a full moon, circular from my vantage point, but it had the character of having a spherical envelope. Scrutinizing it more it had a bright center with blue-white cloud-like corona encircling it & seemed to be moving up and slightly SE.The cloud was not expanding or contracting, just stayed the same size. I thought it looked like the moon partly obscured by clouds; then realized it was an otherwise cloudless sky! I quickly grabbed my iPhone 15 from my pocket to take a video, but it snapped a long exposure picture instead. I was focused on the phone controls momentarily to change to video. When I didn’t see the image on screen anymore, I looked at the sky directly to find the object had instantly and completely disappeared: no cloud, no bright light, no remnants at all. Just a perfectly clear sky! There was a plane about 30-degrees to the North flying generally NW at the same time. I wondered if its occupants had seen it. I’m familiar with rocket launches; this was very similar except contrail usually persists for some time afterward. There had been a SpaceX launch from Vandenberg SFB, but that had been earlier in the morning. No other launches publicly declared. I did a social media inquiry, but no responders saw it.

Sort of cigar - but it was fat - more big in the middle. At first I told myself it was a kite or black garbage bag, but it's impossible

I was driving and saw this sort of cigar shaped black ufo. It was darkest in the center, where it kind of looked pushed in. A triangular "fin" sticking out, but no sharp edges. Then it literally "pulled apart"... almost like thick cheese or oily - kind of slick looking. I was keeping my eye on it, waiting to see it past the tree, but it was gone. Around 2 -3 hours later, I went back to the location and could not see it at all. Part of me was thinking - was it like some kind of large birthday party balloon? (I really want it to be that - I don't know why. I want it to be a garbage bag, kite, or birthday party balloon). But it was gone. So the color was between black (in the middle of the "cigar") and gray. It didn't change from those colors, but the shape changed. Strangely, when I was filling out this report, I discovered I felt / had time / memory loss. I completely... I had a very hard time explaining to myself what I was even doing in that area. I was in a remote part of a canyon prior. I had never gotten that lost before - and strangely felt "ok" with it. Normally I am not ok not knowing where I am. My phone was also completely out of battery / power. Prior ... maybe 20 or 10 minutes before seeing the craft, the gps went nuts. I also remember now hitting a garbage can. I have seen Aiten also have extreme issues with gps in that same area - but the craft was seen later miles away. There's a sort of "hazy" or "dreamy" feeling starting the time I went into the canyon. Uhhhh... like I wasn't quite myself. Like I was ok with things I'd normally not be ok with.

Woke up at 23:00 to watch our unicorn meater shower .was out side for a fue mine smoked a cig.then laid in lounge for a fue mor min i got colder so I got up to go inside .that's when I saw 3 red lights in a row above the mountain where the sun sets in our city .it appeared as though it were a semitruck.drive to sanjose.and the lights turned off o e at a time as tho it were passing behind a building.it was dark and difficult to make out except for the lights.just after the lights went out I saw an actual semi go buy on the free way the opposite way...the lights were yellow/orange and on the ground well very close to it .my mind was and still is confused because the object /or objects.i firstsaw would have had to of been the size of a football field. To have been as high up as I thought to have saw it. It was dark the sky was clear and I do believe I'm a witness to a UFO sighting. In my citty.thers no road stop the mountain I saw it on besides that there n! o road large enough to fit what i saw. Well not on this planet anyway....thanks i hope to see something on this..many i was the only one to see it...remember happy wife happy ljfe... good tidings.

Bright light zig-zags across the sky very quickly, then slows down rapidly and begins to flash an intermittent red light.

In the hills of east Morgan Hill, CA, My coworker and I were hanging outside of the wedding we were photographing. My coworker saw a shooting star in the Southern skies. I did not see the shooting star. A minute or two later, a bright light came flying across the sky from the south heading north. It was moving very quickly and it was zig-zagging. Once the light passed us overhead, it slowed very rapidly almost to a stop. It continued to move to the north, but much slower and began to flash a red light intermittently, mimicking a commercial plane. Within a minute, it was over the horizon and out of view.

"Star looking" orb moved across the night sky from left to right for about 5 seconds before vanishing.

It was a normal, fairly warm night. My mother had just gone to bed and i was outside in my front yard, listening to some music coming from my room, waiting for some of my friends to arrive.

I was looking up at the stars as i tend to do to clear my head, making up constellations and watching for "shooting stars", when all of a sudden i saw what appeared to be a star moving! There was no trail of light, there were no flashing lights like there are on planes, it just looked like a star got bored and went for a walk across the sky!

It was going faster than any normal cargo plane I've seen at night, but slow enough for my eyes to easily keep up with it. It was flying in a straight line, from left to right, no arc at all.

I continued to watch it until it suddenly vanished. It didn't speed up or flash away, it just disappeared like a magic trick.

I even looked around to see if i could find any other planes in the sky, and when i did, the obvious plane was moving considerably slower than the object and you could see the flashing lights clearly.

I know it was not a plane, and i know it was not a "shooting star".

I honestly have no idea what exactly I was looking at, but I do believe it was a UFO.

1/6/14, 22:00, Morgan Hill, CA, sky lit up in a huge brilliant green light from the ground up, behind possibly several miles of hills.

On 101 Freeway heading North from Morgan Hill towards Gilroy, just before getting to Cochran Road, behind the hills the sky lit up in a huge brilliant green light from the ground up. It had to have covered several miles as the light flashed from behind several of the hills. It happened twice within 10 seconds of each time the flash of light happened.

I wish I had been able to take a video of it with my cell phone but did not catch it in time.

Strange noise, observed a long, spindle shaped, silver cigar object with greenish exhaust.

A rather strange noise caught my attention as I was working in my yard. I had a day off from work and I decided to work on our shed. We appear to be in the flight path for the IFR approach into San Jose, CA International Airport, so I hear airplanes go over all the time. We have a smaller airport very close and these smaller airplanes will fly over the house. All of these flights appear to be at least 2,000 to 8,000 ft AGL. As the strange noise became more evident I looked up and saw a long, thin, silver cigar looking object moving fast from south to north. It appeared that it was using the same direction that the larger jets use for the approach into SJC. I noticed a greenish plum of "smoke" coming from the end of the object. The object moved quickly and was only in my sights for approximately five seconds. The noise was like a faint blowing sound. The object was just faint enough to be seen and there were no clouds in the sky that day. ! It was a beautiful day. As a 5k plus hour pilot I have seen strange things before; lightning coming out of the top of clouds, green objects shooting down toward the earth (meteorites), jets traveling very fast toward me and passing me within less than a mile. I am very sure what I saw. I have no need to make crazy stuff up.....I did find that someone else had seen something similar to what I saw but am not aware of his location. It was on the internet.

Object floating in sky immediately goes warp speed and stops!

We were driving north on Monterey Road. Lots of businesses.. streetlights but this caught our eye. To the left (west) we saw a very bright light floating in the sky. It hovered like it was not moving at all. It was bigger and brighter than the closest star.. it alwmost appeared to be glowing.

We attempted to photograph it with our cell phones but it would not appear in their view finders, however, we managed to videotape it for about 20 seconds when suddenly, it sped towards us at an extremely alarming speed. We gestimated that it was originally about 100 miles from us, however , in less than half a second, it was about 50-60 miles closer to us.. just like that.

We pulled over to watch it as it appeared to suddenly move faster and it apeared to change colors.. the hue would flash a faint green or purple.

After stopping to eat to pick up food and go home, we checked outside our door a few tiems.. it still seemed to hover but was further away,, say 100-200 miles at that point.. like a pin drop in the sky. We all agreed that this was no plane, no helicopter, nothing we had ever seen nor experienced before.

FYI: Right before we saw this objest, my car stopped for no apparent reason, just stopped while I was driving. We parked, went into our friends house.. she stated that her friend had left late because her car battery had died and she needed a new one.

I saw a giant fireball streak from north to south in the western sky but it disappeared from my view behind some houses. I'm not sure what it was but it might have been an enormous meteorite only it was so, so, big I fully expected to hear a boom from an impact.

Morgan Hill, CA, 3 min., white object tumbling down 200-300 feet,2 sets of lights, stops and flies horizontally.

Morgan Hill, California approx 1711 to 1713 hours. 1/20/08 While photographing a double rainbow I noticed a white object tumbling down directly under the rainbow. It tumbled approx. two to three hundred feet. It stopped then took off horizontally to the right. I watched it fly in and out of the clouds until I lost it. It was flying at a rate faster than anything I have seen. I have been around aircraft for many years and this was not the norm.

I have one picture, taken while it is tumbling that shows two sets of lights and with in each set are seven to eight smaller lights. It is white, but looks solid and not quite flat with lights in the front. Another picture is taken that shows it flying horizontally, no fixed wing or jet engine that I can see, at this point it looked flat. Other pictures are when it is too high to see any detail and these pictures were taken before I even noticed it tumbling. It was only upon enlarging these photos did I see it above the rainbow.

Later in the evening , when it was dark, I was walking home from my parents place next door and saw six or seven lights high in the sky. No formation but all seemed to be flying the same speed. They were not like the airliners or private planes with blinking/strobe lights. The San Jose Airport path is almost directly over head so I am very familiar with their landing prep. These were solid, possibly military. They were headed north. I do not know if there was a connection to my earlier sightings.

On a drive over Watsonville Rd this evening around 5:30 p.m. my friend and I witnessed a fire streak, red and orange colored going above the mountains. We could not see a plane, just the streak which looked like fire. It was a steady stream, went on for several minutes before it disappeared behind the mountains.

Did not seem to hover or fall, just streaked across the sky, rather slowly as we watched it for awhile.

Trying to locate Mars in the early morning hours I was searching the sky towards the East South-East with binoculars when i came across what I had thought to be a distant Fighter jet that had on his red flashing strobe.

The distance was great as you could not see this with the naked eye but it had me interested for one reason. Even though at a great distance with each strobe flash it would be quite a distance away from the previous one and then not at predictable areas that you would normally guess to be its next location, sometimes it would increase that space and sometimes it would appear to just move a hair in distance.

The thing that really got me watching intensly was when it started to move up and down then left to right and then the opposite direction. I tried to come up with some sort of explanation such as since it was so far away that it could be that it appeared to be moving all around but just traveling away from me and changing altitude and direction.

I have lived around many military bases and am familiar with air craft and such. I have never seen anything that could do the things that this flashing light did!

Who knows! I just never understood why U.F.O's would feel the need to have lights on their craft anyway-Think about that one!

A white bright star like object moving slowly in the 15 degrees above the horizen from Henry Co State Park!

While photographing celestial objects with my telescope and astro-photography gear atop on Henry Co State Park at about over 3400 elevations, I noted this consistant bright white star like object, approximately -3 in magnitute, traveling slowly from East to North-East covering about about 15 degrees of the sky in about 45 second, very low in the horizen just about 10-20 degrees above the horizen and barely above the distant mountains as visible in the photograph.

Earlier that night before I head up there, I checked for any possible Irridium flashes or ISS (International Space Station) passes as well as other bright and visible satellites which could have been photographed throughout the night (Sep. 5-6, 2005). There were no passes over California of the ISS or any other other known objects that night.

The brightest I have ever seen ISS was about -1 magnitute at the most and at it's highest in the sky! This object was not ISS or any other known satelite for sure as it's orbit indicted that clearly, not to mention it was too bright to be ISS or any other Earth orbiting Satelites!

So the only thing I suspected was an aircraft flying towards me head on since there were no flashes and the lights were extremly bright! However, after observing it's flight path for about 45 second, I realizing that it was not flying towards me. Therefore eliminating to be a normal aircraft as well! No aircrafts has a bright white spot light on it's side as far as I know!

I have been doing astro-photography since 1986 and I am pretty much familiar with all known flying objects, aircrafs and space crafts in the sky. I can quickly identify what sort of objects it is when I see one!

In this case, I was puzzled as it did not make any sense! Luckily, I had my digital camera mounted as piggy-back on my telescope's counterweight bar and was ready to take sequences of tracked 30 seconds wide angle shots to be stacked later. So I snapped a shot of the object. The duration of the snapshot is 30 seconds so the star like object streaked a bright white light through it's flight path right below the constellation Auriga! Note the brightness of thte star Capella (Alpha Aur.) is about 0.1 magnitute! In the photo, the stars are being tracked for 30 seconds so the light from them has been accumilated for 30 seconds.

In contrast, the object was moving so the brightness of it is not accu milated like stars. Meaning it is much brighter than it appears in the photograph! It was so bright that I was confused for a second there as it was the planet Venus (-4 mag.)

Stationary object off US 101, blinding lights flashing and then disappeared.

Sunday night approximately around 8:15PM while driving on US 101, myself and 50-100 cars abruptly stopped on the freeway. Off to the right of the freeway was an intensly bright white/yellow light. The light was so blinding that I held my hand up to shield my eyes while trying to figure out what the object we were seeing was. A police officer was also on the freeway, he was out of his car also staring at the object. The object did not appear to be moving, it was flashing its lights in a three on-off pattern. The object remained for about two minutes, flashed three more times and then was gone. Freeway traffic began to pick up once again and I did not see the object anymore.

A bright glowing green peanut shaped object shot off into the sky leaving a white trail

The object was shaped like the outside of a peanut shell, rounded and big on the ends and small and tight in the center. The object was a bright green color and was solid green along the entire bottom. I saw the object in the sky approx. 75 feet in the air over Highway 101. Being so high in the air I would say that it was about 15 feet long and 7 feet wide in the biggest areas. This stretch of 101 has hills on both sides with no buildings or homes. The object caught my eye out of the front windshield and appeared to be going the same speed (70 mph) as the car for about 3-4 seconds. Then it shot off straight out leaving a white trail behind it for about 2 or so seconds and completely dissappeared. I was on the cell phone at the time and was unable to speak to the other person on the line because I was in such shock at what I had seen. There were no cars in front or behind me for atleast a mile both directions. This object was definatly something in the sky and not a reflection from another car or object.

It was a light moving across the sky, but then it turned into 3 lights that were circling, then it shot a light out of it.

I was standing in front of my house at ((deleted)) Ct talking on the phone when I saw a light slowing moving above me. I first thought it was a plane but then I noticed that there were no blinking lights and no sound. I then watched it move north in a semi-straight line for about a minute or two, then all of a sudden, it divided into about 3 lights (that's when I thought something weird was going on) then the 3 lights started circling, and then it shot another light out of it like it was a weapong or something, and it disapeared a little bit away from it. That's when I ran inside to tell my family and when I came back out, it wqas gone. It was weirdest thing I've ever seen.

Foothill Sightings

It was a late night drive to our grandmothers ranch on Foothill Avenue, between middle and maple. My Mother, My cousin and I were north or Nortwest and directly to the East where there are hills that are high if you can find information on them, they also have sattelites on top in some areas. There is an Airplane Museum/Golf Course on the bottom of these hills just above the sight area. As I was saying we were north or Nortwestbound on Central Avenue and it was a "mutual" (everyone saw at the same time) sighting which was the red lights appear one by one (6) or so towards the north. My mother and I looked at each other and my mother pulled over, so we could see the event taking place. They appeared like christmas lights do in a line until the all the lights are lit, then the lights turn off, and start over. But they didn't turn off. I cannot remember the amount of time we were observing the event. I was about 15 years old or so and an amature astronomer at the time. My eyes wandered further up and saw a small point of light high in the sky (the point the same size as the stars) moving NE. I yelled to my mom and cousing to look up in the sky above us. Without any sound or time the sky light seemed to turn dark but what it was was the craft appeared directly above us either from the point of light in the sky, I'm not sure. It seemed like it just appeared in front of us. at that moment my mother had a feared look in her face and being her son I knew when my mother is scared and I never noticed it but she felt "warm" whether from the fear causing the warmth, I really don't know. In an instant the darkness left, because I was focused on that light high in the sky. It was like the saucer shot up in the sky at a very high speed, became the point of light again and soon I lost sight of it. The lights on the hill had disappeared also. We rushed home to get my father and other brothers and sister and went back to the sight. but saw nothing after that.

We witnessed about 12 black objects pass overhead at night.

On the night of September 2, 1990 we noticed over a dozen such objects as they passed overhead in two seperate flight NW to SE "tracks". Six different people saw these from a area south of San Jose CA. I have seen bats, owls and light air craft in the skys with out lights, but never anything like this No lights, no sound. With field glasses a roundish shape could be made out for the front of the crafts. It was hard to say how high they were but the sparce local clound cover was reported to be at 3,000 feet at the time and the object were well below that. These object passed over, one at a time a speed similar to a low fling light aircraft over a period of about 30 min. Two other things were noted durring this period. 1) the normaly busy air trafic in our skys was noexistant. 2) The object stopped going over at about the same time the full moon came up. I spend a lot of time under the night sky with my telescope but I have never seen anything like this before or sense. Has anyone else seen this type of dark objects?

ufo sighting in small town on the busiess holiday weekend.

we were traveling from san jose,ca. to watsonville,ca. on labor day weekend on santa teresa road.my friend was driving and i was finding a radio station.i look up through the windshield and spotted the ufo. i immediately told my find to look up and see if he saw what i was seeing.he said i am driving and i can't or we will wreck!i then told my friend to stop immediately.so we can get off the car and both look.he said if he did we would get rear ended by the line of cars following us.we came to a stop sign, and i never took my eyes off the ufo as we got off the car.my friend then could see the ufo himself.i ask him if i was losing my mind,and just seeing things?he said no because he was seeing the same thing also.we turn to the truck stop behind us at the stop sign.there two boys and a girl in the truck.they got off the truck and were watching too.the ufo flew over a apartment complex and was large.then it turn to the right and flew over highway 101 that was ! bumper to bumper with cars.then the ufo flew towards the mountains in front of commercial airplanes.it flew back and forth in that area.then it excelerated and was gone.i call ksbw channel 8 and spoke to Bev Hudson.she didn't believe me.i called komy radio station and reported it.they said they want the name of my connection.so they could get high and see ufos also.i called the coast guard to see if they could check their radar.they said they only give tickets to speeding boats.both me and my friend repeated our story to our friends.who also didn't believe us.i will take a lie detector test,hypnotize me,and even give me a shot of truth serum.i saw what i saw and this the truth!
