Bright diamond shaped UFO hovering over west county forest.

A diamond shaped craft was spotted on my way home one Thursday night July 13th 2023 I caught sight of it on Occidental rd. and watched it as I turned on to Harrison Grade Rd. There were a few whispey clouds around but mostly clear skies. The object, more or less, kept it s position. I stopped next to ((name deleted)) house as it had a good vantage to the North where the object was still in sight. I pulled out my video camera and started shooting video . The object then started to move away from my position I did my best to pull it in and get a good shot of it but up close the lense just blew out the image with light. IT did not make any noise and from my vantage it just scooted down into the tree line so I could not see it any longer. I was literally in the middle of the road in the dark so I left the scene. The video has music that was playing from my car.

3 of us friends were Sitting outside in Town of Sonoma, when we noticed 8 round light moving from southeast to north west/north possibly. Far above The ufos were are trailing behind each other very closely and moving at an incredible speed and dissipated or disappeared within minutes in clear night sky.

A couple minutes more and a 9th round light moving similar direction trailing behind and disappeared a bit sooner then the prior 8 ufos. It was near the Big Dipper in the sky.

My husband and I saw a strange phenomenon in a very dark western sky from approximately 8 to 8:15PM on December 16, 2019, while staying at Sea Ranch, CA in a rental. The sky was incredibly clear and crisp. At first we thought it could be a military aircraft maneuver but its rapid movement up and down and back again and its remaining in the same area of the sky for approximately 10 minutes was puzzling. There was definitely 1 and possibly 2, that appeared as a white, starlike shape from your selection of shapes. It's hard to say how far away this object was, so it's appearance as a light was all we could make out. It was probably 100s of miles up in the sky. Then, about 8:15 PM light clouds obscured our view.

V formation of lights, moving south to north, VERY FAST, faster than anything man made, totally silent, changed formation in air.

At approximately 1:40 A.M. PST I was looking at the constellation Orion when I noticed movement. It took 1 second for my eyes to focus but and before they had done so I assumed satellite. Once my eyes focused, I saw 5 small dull lights in a V formation moving extremely fast from south to north. As the object passed over me the 5 lights seemed to be in such a formation that I immediately thought stealth bomber at a relatively low altitude. This was odd cause my initial thought was that this object was far away. As I was thinking this the 5 lights seemed to spread out then get close together before totally shifting formation in the air. At this point the object had traversed most of the sky and I realized that the formation and distance changed between the dull lights indicating that this was not 1 object but 5. As I was struggling to comprehend this object they got brighter and another one appeared. They did not get very bright. It was almost as if light was ! being reflected off them due to their angle and for a spilt second I thought they could be birds, snow geese in particular. As I thought this they lost that light got in a tighter formation and accelerated away.

-I have never seen anything move this fast -The shifting of formation and changes in distance between the lights was unique -Object was completely silent -Altitude and distance was hard to gauge

Bright orange light flying and then hovering in the sky

At 10 pm, while taking out the garbage, I looked up at the sky and saw a curiously bright orange light approaching from the southwest.

I ran inside to get my wife, and we both observed the light for a couple of minutes. We saw it slow down, change direction, and hover in the sky.

It appeared to be at a higher altitude than any recreational drones I’ve ever seen, its movements were definitely not consistent with those of an airplane, and we did not hear any helicopter or aircraft sounds. It had a fiery, and slightly flickery or pulsing, orange glow and didn’t seem to have any blinking lights like a traditional aircraft.

While it was hovering, I took a short, blurry cellphone video, then I ran in the house for five seconds or so to get a better camera. When I returned, it had vanished.

Very bright orange planet like light, sphere, with slight tail and tiny red light near the tail, slowly moving East.

Very bright orange planet like light with slight orange tail in the North, North-West sky noticed high in the sky at 9:50 pm. I watched the object for 30 seconds or so and noticed it was moving very slowly East. A tiny red light was visible from the tail area. It was brighter than all other stars or planets, and 50% bigger than Venus. Did not look like the space station, which is smaller, moves much, much faster and which appears closer to earth. Went inside to grab camera and binoculars, light was still there, but began to slowly fade away. Red light plus slight shadow of a solid object were the last parts to be seen. We have quite a bit of air traffic in the area, and this looked nothing like an aircraft.

8 orbs flying over Sonoma

I was laying outside staring up at the sky, and noticed cloud cover coming in blocking out the stars. After 10 minutes it started to clear and I noticed 8 white orbs, with the color of the brightest star in the visible sky. They flew in formation, flying south to north at low altitude. 10-15000 feet. They were flying 500-600 mph and there wasn't any sound, no indicator lights aircraft have, and no contrails.

I was driving home on route 12, headed west towards Santa Rosa, when a bright light appeared in the sky above me moving right to left (from the north to the south). It had a trail, and was similar in appearance to a shooting star, but far brighter. Then the light slowed down, got much brighter, accelerated, then disappeared. Not sped off so fast that it disappeared, but rather once it sped up, it blinked away.

After taking my mother home, my wife and I were walking out to the car in Moon Valley Park Sonoma, when I looked up and saw an orange orb in the sky. My wife got her phone out of her purse and started shooting pictures.

We watched as it was slowly coming toward us, then it changed course to its left then started to fade out you could still see a faint point of light making circles started to grow again in size and looked like a faint grey smudge and began to fall looking like a jellyfish all the way down to the ground about 100 yards away, I got a real good look at it low to the ground it was almost transparent ghostly. We looked for it but found nothing. I went back to the spot next day and did not find anything.

It look to be maybe 4 to 6 feet in size down near the ground and judging by that I would put it about 150 to 200 feet in the air before it came down.

The object was possibly cylindrical or cone shaped with a dark red tail approx 4-6 lengths of the object. It appeared to be heading directly south/south east in a straight line coming from the north, did not appear to loose or gain altitude. The tail may have been propelling the object as it did not appear to change shape, color. It did not appear to loose momentum.

I first saw the object pass by heading sounth, I watch it approx 10 seconds before calling for family members inside home to come see. 10-15 seconds before they come out side and we watched object heading south for approx another 30 seconds. It breifly disappeared in cloud cover then reappeared before finally loosing sight of it over San Francisco/Oakland area.

Round, metallic-looking sphere over my house

It was a bright, clear day in December 2015, about 60 degrees and sunny, and I went out to get some firewood.

I happened to look up and there was a round (spherical), bronze-colored craft sitting stationary over my house.

It had a metallic looking appearance and on the side that I was looking at it looked to me like there were part concave or convex areas to it. I was looking at it facing north, looking up over my house.

There were no propellers, so it could not have been a drone, and no sound. It was approximately 300 ft. above my house and if I were to estimate width, I would say maybe 20 to 30 feet wide.

I was the only witness and I watched it for about 1 to 2 minutes. Here is another additional part to my story.

I have followed the UFO media reports for quite a few years and always thought that it would be great to see one, to validate for myself that they exist. I would get my camera, get a witness, document everything, etc.

After watching the craft, I continued on out to the wood pile and got the logs for my fireplace, and forgot about the entire thing… I remembered about 3 ½ weeks later, into January of this year , about witnessing the craft.

I am totally perplexed about that part of my story.

I am a 62 year old woman with grandkids, have run a business for many years, and have lived here for 28 years. There would be no reason for me to fabricate this event. As to who was piloting it - ??

Bright object above old navy base.

Driving alone highway 37, between Marie inland and Sears Point archway at night. We are heading to Petaluma. We were right in the middle of the stretch and wife blood out window, looks like a big star.

I glance over to look, too big to be a star, it's low, bright. I look again to see if it's moving. I look again and again to see if it has moved, no movement. My best guess is it was at 1000ft right over "Scaggs Island," it use to be a navy base there. Size was 3 times the brights star. Wife thought it looked like a cross.

We continued to Lakeville Rd and got to the 116 turnoff before I said to look to the southeast and band it was still there right over the top of the mountain top. I could not believe it was still there. I look again and it's gone.

I've see one back in 1975 above Sugarloaf orange/red spiraling and hopping, then still. The reflective color always stayed with me, like a an led kind of color, different..

So hard to believe anything these days of misinformation, but I know what's out here, more then people want you to know too.

White saucer silently traverses across the daytime moon, then, slightly changes direction.

Viewed from a motorcycle on The Bohemian Highway, at around four-thirty pm. The focus was on the sliver of Moon present in the day sky. An oval object, the size of a planet in the night sky, was traveling southwest across my field of vision. It was only noticed because I was looking at the moon. It was white ; the same shade as the moon. After approximately twenty seconds, it changed to a more southerly direction, where it proceeded until it was blocked out by the tall redwood trees, around two minutes later. There was no sound associated with the object that was detectible. The shape was unlike any aircraft I am aware of, and looked like a flying saucer or oval or cigar shape depending on how you discern that. My vision is perfect. It appeared like so many photos of these things to be an other-worldly craft.

My mom who is not a believer in anything extraterrestrial was shocked and amazed and without words.

Pulsating floating red orb flies over home.

I was not the first one to see this light object. My mother went outside to hang some clothes when I heard her call me out. She was calling me in a hurried manor. I went outside just in time to see this orb floating directly above trees in our backyard and it floated over our home.

We watched it together for close to 5 minutes as it slowly floated by. It was an orange/red color. Pulsating from low brightness to high brightness. If I had to compare it to something it'd have to be like how a flare would look.

The orb came up low over trees in our back yard, flew over our home and ascended into the dark sky. We watched it for about 5 mins before we couldn't see it anymore. There were planes in the area flying above. Our dog was with us as we stood out watching and it whimpered as if frightened. It may be due to the light orb.

3 groups of 6-10 blue points of light appeared traveling NE at high altitude.

Long Description of Sighting Report:

We were near Sonoma Square waiting with several thousand people for the 9:30 fireworks. Several minutes before the fireworks started, a kid pointed straight up with his arm and said something like "Hey, a blue ufo!" Most people who heard him (he yelled pretty loud) looked up and we saw a small, far away group of 6-10 faint starlike objects. The group was traveling NE at about the same speed as the international space station. It approached the moon and disappeared. I was willing to assume it was the ISS.

Then, another group appeared in the SW and followed the same NE path and disappeared near the moon, too. That eliminated the ISS.

Then a 3rd faint group appeared in about the same place in the SW, traveled near the moon, made a 270 degree turn to the west, went a short distance and disappeared. That really eliminated the ISS.

What was interesting was the path of the groups. The path was not a perfectly straight line, it was a series of distinct course changes.

At least 40 people that were sitting by us saw and many commented on them.

There were probably 4000 people sitting on the field, facing South, all looking up in the sky for the first fireworks when these objects appeared.

Expect more reports.

I am a pilot and used to flying at night - and they def weren't meteors, airplanes, satellites, fireworks.

Light Formation over Ocean Cove Campground, California

Exiting my tent at Ocean Cove Campground at approximately 02:00 to 02:30, I looked toward the eastern sky because movement caught my periphery. Just north of my location and about a half mile away was a hill. To the south of me and another half mile away was another hill opening up a geological saddle.

About 15 degrees up from ground level, without being able to determine altitude, distance or speed, I noticed what appeared to be 3 points of light in a triangular formation, emerging from behind the northern hill. The lights were yellow to orange in color moving (again depending on distance and altitude) quickly in a southerly direction.

Another two lights emerged immediately following the first three, then another three in the same general formation as the first.

They were all moving in a southerly direction. The second group of three broke from the overall formation and headed either east or down. The two “connecting” the two groups of three faded away.

The original three dipped lower then rose, moving independently, yet staying in a general triangular formation.

After about 10 minutes, the first three faded to points and then disappeared.

There was no way of knowing if there was noise associated with the movement of these lights as the ocean waves were quite loud.

Looking at a map, directly to the east of Ocean Cove Campground by approximately 40-50 miles is the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport.

Strange light stationary in the sky.

I stayed at a friend’s house on the evening of March 11. We looked at the constellations, but did not see anything unusual.

The next morning, as I was leaving, my friend looked in the sky and asked “is that a UFO?”. It was a very bright light in the sky, too low to be a star.

I left to return to my home in San Rafael CA. The light was stationary for the entire duration of the trip (about 30 minutes). It just hovered in the same spot.

By the time I arrived home, it was just past dawn. The light was still there. I grabbed a pair of binoculars. Peering through them, I could see it was several lights on the one object. I could not make out the shape.

I went inside to make breakfast, shower, and get ready for work. I got out of the shower, went outside, and the object was gone.

UFO spotting in Nothern California

Me and my friends were hanging out front of there home in Sonoma, Ca, as one of them spotted a unidentified flying object. He wasn't thee only one that saw this object, a few of us did. It was a perfectly clear warm night. We know for sure that it wasn't an airplane,helicopter, or satellite. What we saw looked like a Triangular object with more then a few very unnoticeable lights on the bottom, and made no noise. This is the second time that we've seen this object, the last time was a few years ago heading in the same direction, north. Large unidentified craft observed in the Napa sloughs.

We were in a boat in the sloughs. Midway between the Napa River and Sonoma Creek when we saw a craft standing in a salt pond. We had just passed the area in which the craft was aproximately 30 minutes prior and the craft was not there when we passed by the location. We were aproximately 4tenths of a mile from it. It stood aproximately 50 ft. high and 40 ft. wide. It had what I call legs extending out from the sides aproximately 3 ft. from the body of the craft starting aprox.10 ft. from the top to the bottom. We couldn't see the bottom because it was on the other side of the levy. We were amazed and starred at it for a few minutes. We talked about a camera. We had problems with the boat motor as it failed to start. Somehow we lossed our memory of what happened from the time we saw the craft to the time we were back at the Hudeman slough boat ramp. We would have seen it as we passed by the spot at the levy when we headed back to the ramp. My brother and I both feel as if an energy source could have taken our concentration etc and over powered us after we seen the craft. We haven't talked about this to anybody since as we both agree people will say we are crazy, were on drugs or some other comments. After I listenen to coast to coast on the am channel the other morning, I thought I would share this sighting. I have a very hard time believing that we were the only ones who saw this craft. It stood out in an area with no trees, buildings or structures at all in the area. I have never seen a craft similar to this in my life other than one on a science fiction movie maby. We are very curious as to wether or not a similar report has been made. If you have indeed received a similar report of a similar object I would appreciate you getting back to me.

V shaped sighting in Sonoma

Something appeared to me when I was looking at the stars. It came from the east,hovered directly above me about 4-5 seconds and shot off to the west at tremendous speed.

It could have been mistaken for a flock of geese in formation-w/ the sun hitting them. But there was NO SUN @ 9:30 PST,& geese don't fly at SST speed.

It was a group of small(to my eye-who knows how high it was) pale orange glowing chevron shapes that formed a triangle. It was a very dim light-I would have missed it if I would have blinked. There was the outline of the triangle-maybe 6-8 chevrons on each side and 4-5 inside lined up. The point of the triangle was west-the direction it went. All of the chevrons moved together.

It made a very slight VVV sound before it shot off to the west. Only a second or so.

The whole thing happened so fast, I have been second guessing myself-and trying to come up w/ a logical idea, to no avail. Hope that you have heard of this type of craft.

It was just about 20 minutes ago, stars are out, and one exceptionally large, cross shaped object in the sky caught my attention. It had a blue light near center, the core was a vertical white light and the glow was star like off all edges, like fingers, not the normal star nor was it an obvious aircraft because of it not moving for such an extended period of time, and it appeared too large for an aircraft, and it was west of us here in Sonoma, it looked like it was over the town of Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa area. It was huge and the bright lights both blue and white were something to see extending so far out of the core. It hoverred and the lights went from extremely bright to nearly dissappearing and back again. The glow made it nearly impossible to be an airplane and was deffinately not a hellicopter.

What was it?? It eventually disappeared and hasn’t returned as I did go out to look just now. 23:02.

Bright red pulsating light that remained motionless for a long duration, ascended and moved rapidly, red droplets falling from object

In the Northeast sky I saw a pulsating red light that looked like an approaching helicopter. I dismissed it as that while I was changing a headlight on my car.

After a minute or so I noticed that it never moved. I stopped to stare at it thinking that I was witnessing a rare sighting of Mars but realized Mars is not in tonights sky...then the object ascended extremely rapidly AND moved further South and remained stationary.

This grabbed my attention and astonishment!

Then the red pulsating light began to emit more white light as bright as a searchligh on a helicopter from far away. Then the object shifted rapidly to the West and remained stationary. Then I knew I was seeing a UFO...while looking at it and trying to yell for my wife I saw red droplets fall from the object...these tiny droplets were redder than any flare...similar to the red plastic color of a tail light lens...the red tear drops dimmed and then were extingushed. The speed that these droplets fell was abnormal, the color was abnormal, and what could this be?

I finally ran inside to grab my wife who was too slow to come outside and of course the object was gone.

I find it hard to believe that I was the only one who witnessed this...please come forward. I have seen several UFO's in my life while camping and fishing in remote area's and have several witnesses to other events. This time I am posting it.

My background: Father and husband --thirty years old...I do not drink and I do not take any medications or drugs. I am college educated and a sales man in the Bay Area.

An extremelly bright circular orange/amber light traveled NW to SW pausing for 20 sec. 3x. Not far away

I was working in the grocery store while my co-workers were outside the store, taking a break. One of my co-workers yelled from the door for me to come outside, quickly. I ran, suspecting some altercation or car accident.

As I got outside, my co-workers were standing in the parking lot looking north east. I imidiatly saw a bright orange/amber light about 30-40 deg. above the horrizon.

I then ran due east to the edge of the parking lot to gain darker skies. There is a field direcly east of the store, with less light pollution.

We stood for about 10 minutes, facing east and watching this "object" move from left to right. It paralleled the horizon in that its over all altitude with respect to our location deviated only slightly as it stopped and remained motionless for up to 20 seconds. It stopped 3 times. Each time the object began to move again, its altitude remained some what stable. It did not appear to move on an exactly strait path but the deviation in alltitude was minimal.

When I first saw the object, it was large compared to regular air traffic. If I tried to "pinch" the object with my thumb and index finger, arm strait, the object would be 1/8" to 1/4". I am 6'1" tall. The distance from my eye to my thumb, held in this manner is 2' 6".

About half way along the objects path, it encountered the marine layer of fog that is common this time of year here. The object lost some brightness and some size, but it still apeared larger and brighter than any normal air traffic.

also, I did not see the object "pause" until it had encountered the marine layer. This is where the object lost some of it's disk like appearance. I mean disk like the sun, and not like a frisbee.

Before the fog there was a slight whiteness to the center of the object, but it remained mostly dark orange, not red, but a rich orange that I have never seen on any air craft. I have seen orange in many air craft lights, but never that rich and intense a color.

The only noise we could hear was our own conversation and speculation with respect to the object.

The object gradually began to deminish in size and brightness and did look like commom air craft in the last minute and then dissapeared. In the last quarter of our observations, the object looked very much like Mars did the last time Mars was at it's brightest.

The object seemed to cut a path between the Sonoma Valley and the Napa Valley. This would put it about 5 to 10 miles away from me.

I must add that I have eaten lunch in the same location for 7+ years. I am very aware of the normal air traffic attributes here. Sitting in the same spot in the dark for 7 years, you would think that I might have seen something sooner. I am an amature astronomer and have made several sundials. I have seen many "Life Flight" Helicopters and Sherrif helicopters. I have watched the air traffic surrounding the Sonoma Valley from home and to work, and I have never seen any thing like this. I know what it isn't.

very bright orange/amber light moves, freezes, no noise not in usual air trafic path about 10 min.

My co-workers(night grocery clerks) and I witnessed a bright orange/amber light. It moved from north west to south east. It was about 45 degrees above the horizon. This orange light was so bright, it looked like the orange street lights around our location, but this object was 5 to 10 miles away and moving quite slowly. Its speed changed gradually and it also froze for 20 or so seconds-about 3 times. It paralleled the eastern horizon in a very shallow S pattern. It seemed to stay under the marine layer of fog for the first half of its passing, then it was only blurred and less bright. I have taken my lunch break in the same spot for 7+ years. I have tracked iridium satellites, and watched the air traffic in the same location as this fireball-five days a week. I am very aware of the sky and it's changes-I can only tell you what it wasn't. Also, it made no noise what so ever. The most similar object I can come up with is a naval flare, but the color is wrong, there were no "sparks", no tail, and the trajectory is all wrong, not to mention the over all distance it traveled.

this is an update

I called the local paper- no other reports but my own.

I called the local airports- no reports; however, confirmed the altitude of cloud cover to be 1000-3000 miles up. Also, ceiling was 1100 miles in Petaluma(10 miles W).

confirmed altitude of object from observer to be 26.75 deg. from observation point.

did this by locating a star that matched location of object at the same time the following night.

By my calculations, this object would have to have a diameter of 10.1815 feet at .4629 miles away. Or a 27.7679 foot diameter at 1.2624 miles away. These are actual diameters based on the visual size of 1/8" at 2'1/2" away from my eye.

Interestingly, there has been a 4.4 earthquake just a few miles from the observation point, 5 days later. This location matches the origin of the object. Could this have been "earthquake lights"? I have no frame of reference to confirm this possibility.

Upon reflection, I see aircraft in nearly the same location, only never North to South, always South to North on this same path.

Please feel free to scrutinize my findings. I also took pictures of the exact location of the sky and horizon in which the object had previously appeared.

My previous information was based on a very preliminary review of the environment, and almost no depth of field, in a cloudy sky at night. I believe my new information to be extremely accurate based on the limited but specific facts involved.

Large Orb Expands, Then Vanishes

I was sitting outside on a hot evening, looking at the sky towards the NNW. I noticed an object that appeared to be a large and bright star, similar to what Venus would look like at its brightest. Within a few seconds, this object expanded, became bigger and even brighter, then suddenly disappeared. I watched the area for a while longer, but saw nothing re-appear, nothing else unusual. This object never became unnaturally large or bright, but it was odd in that it increased in size before completely vanishing.

RED FIREBALL OVER SONOMA

THIS STAR-LIKE FIREBALL WAS BRIGHT RED AND 3 TIMES LARGER THAN THE LARGEST STAR IN THE SKY. In my backyard with my dad, I went outside and was staring at the sky and all of a sudden this fireball looking object went over out house, from southwest to northeast, and I said "dad come look at this", he came out into the backyard and by the time he looked up the object was gone, he thought I was making it up,

The object didn't look like a meteor, because a meteor is too hard to see with the naked eye, this you could actually see the tail on the object for about a second or two, It dissapeared out of sight,

Sonoma, CA is in a valley covered by hills and moutains, so it is hard to see objects sometimes because of it's low elevation, so after the object disapeared, it looked like it went behind the hills, most likley Northeast.

09/19/05 about 5-10 minutes at approximatley 23:30 hours, diamonds shaped Red Blue Yellow White flickering lights.

I was out back smoking a cigarette and looking at the orange 1/2 moon, clear skys, semi bright(do to the moons glow)some visible stars. Out of the corner of my eye heading heading in a North western direction moving pretty fast and steady I saw these lights, flickering Red, Blue, White, Yellow. At first it looked like it was flying toward the moon, I thought maybe it was an airplane, but no noise, and lights where blinking to fast. Then I thought what is that? How weird? so I ran in side and got my binoculars and ran out the front door, and caught site of it again, a lot father away, foggy image through binoculars, looked diamond shaped small flickering colors. then it was out of sight moving so fast. Then coming the other direction I saw much closer an airplane flying toward the south, red and blue flickering lights, but much slower. and could definately make out the shape of an airplane. What was that other thing, it was going pretty fast?

My 15 year old son was at home alone. Just at sunset he glimpsed a light in the field behind our house. He went outside. As he opened the door his cat ran inside apparently scared. He stepped out onto a porch and looked east and down the property. He saw a light object flash briefly (like the speed of lightning). It was very bright, about the brightness of the moon. It was about 350 yards from the house. Shortly again he saw the same type of object appear about 30 feet away next to the barn. It was a solid object which gave off light. It was approximately 10 ft. wide and 12 feet high. It was spherical and clearly defined in shape. The color of the light was white. Before the last sighting he felt the air as breezy and cool then it suddenly changed to very still and warm. He was very startled by the experience He ran back into the house, turned on all the lights and played loud music until his brother returned.

Correction - (mother speaking) I am sorry about the date on the previous 2 submissions. I should explain. I went to a movie on the night my son saw the object. When I made the report I looked up the date on my ticket stub then I submitted the report. But then I looked at the data base and saw the report for Cotati on the next night. Cotati is only 3 miles to the north of our house. I looked up the date my ticket purchase was recorded by the bank and it was ofcourse the next day. However, if the date on the ticket stub is correct, the sighting must have been on the 30th. I'm very sorry for muddling up the issue.

Bright light appears in aftermath of power outage in Sonoma, California on September 23, 2003

The sighting occurred just minutes after a major electrical blackout occurred the evening of September 23, 2003 in the eastern half of the town of Sonoma. My wife and I were eating dinner at the Himalayian Inn restaurant, in a courtyard off the town square of Sonoma. All of the lights went out in the open-air courtyard and alley that is shared by several businesses, including an Irish pub restaurant. We would learn after dinner that the lights had gone out in the eastern half of the town. We never heard what happened or why.

It was about dusk when we had decided to eat dinner, choosing to sit outside because of the pleasant night. We were in the middle of the main course when the lights went out. The restaurant owner came out and we chatted for few minutes as I pointed out a couple constellations and Mars. He went back inside to find candles and flashlights, while I sat down to finish my dinner.

Just after sitting down I saw a very bright light, similar in luminosity to the International Space Station [ISS], which I've seen on several previous occasions. The light was moving directly north, roughly parallel to the town square. Because we were under a small veranda, I only caught glimpse of the bright light when it was at about a 60 degree angle. It moved at a speed similar to ISS, but after about 2 seconds, its light suddenly dimmed and for the remainder of the sighting it gradually faded out of sight.

I commented to my wife about it, but she hadn't seen it. We were in Sonoma for the Michelin Challenge Bibendum as members of the invited press. I own a small refractor telescope and have frequently observed satellites with my naked eye, through binoculars and through the Richfield telescope. Had the object not suddenly faded in luminocity, I would have concluded it might have been the ISS, which will also exhibit similar behavior when it crosses into the earth's shadow. However, since this object was moving almost due north on an apparent track that would keep it in the sun's light, I suspect the drop in luminocity would be attributable to other factors.

Craft flying at the beach!?

Peter Davenport and crew of the UFO Reporting Center. I wanted to relay a story that happened to me in early 1999, February 4th, on or around. A girlfriend and I took a trip to the coast from where we live in Santa Rosa, CA. We headed out to the Goat Rock / Shell Beach area. The coast is only 30 minutes from where we live, and it was around 6 or 7pm because the sun was still in the sky. We had gone out to catch a sunset. It was around 9pm or so that the coast was a little too cold and windy to be at, so we headed up the cliff to the car, to get warm and watch the sky for awhile, because you can see lots of stars at night on the coast here. Anyway, she pointed out that Venus was over my shoulder which would have been south. We were facing the ocean, and I was in the driver seat. I looked north to over her shoulder, and pointed out that Mars was out too and we looked at the big bright reddish light that we thought was Mars. Then Mars kinda.. started to move towards us. We watched in astonishment as it really began to move towards us, neither of us knowing what to do right away. It got to about 400 feet above our heads, and began to circle us. We could see the craft much more clearly now. The craft seemed circular if viewing it from underneath, with 4 yellowish white lights in the center like thrusters? And red and blue lights; two blues on the north and south points and two reds on the east / west points. I could faintly see some light coming from what would be the top too, but it was non-descript. Either way, not FAA standard. We watched in terror as the sky dark and somewhat cloudy now came alive with lights that were moving in unusual patterns across the sky in front of us and all around us. We could see the stars through the patches of clouds, but we could also see many white lights moving around and chameleoning themselves among the clouds and the blackness of the sky and the stars beyond. It was so odd to us that any aircraft would be out at the beach at all in the first place, much less flying in awkward patterns at night at the beach. These lights were flying over the water too. All of the lights except two showed themselves to us and the ones that did were the "Mars" craft - picture rendition enclosed - and one that flew from south to north from a LONG LONG way away very slowly making no noise coming all the while towards us. When it got close I could see it was a dark triangular craft. It horrified me to see this, because I had listened to Art Bell's experience seeing it, and others on the radio. This thing moved like a helicopter would. Like ONLY a helicopter COULD in my experience of seeing them move. Only it was fast. And agile. It - picture rendition enclosed - flew around our car the only one out there in the parking lot of the beach for about 20 minutes with the other craft, the circular one. I could hardly see the actual triangle craft's main hull or whatever it was really stealthy and dark amongst the dark sky, but I could almost always see the thrusters behind it. They reminded me of a Star Wars ship, the Empire's Star Destroyers. You know how they have three big thrusters in a triangular formation on the rear? Like that. One odd side note, we did appear to have lost about 3 to 4 hours of time as I know it was only about 9:30pm when this started and when all the lights in the sky ceased moving about in the sky and it appeared to us to be only about 1hour in total that they did it was almost 2:45 in the morning. Take it as you will, I have no explanation. Any earthly craft that could move like that would have to have made a lot noise, even over the pounding surf. No to mention the weirdness of them all flying around at the beach at night. Thanks!

Three Objects Looking Like Planets Moving in fast and odd directions:

My wife and I were sitting out on the deck enjoying the nice nite weather. My wife noticed what she first thought to be Mars and we both looked at it. I noticed a second object and this one had a moon above it. All of a sudden, the moon started to move around what we thought was a planet, and darted off southeast at great speed and upward towards 11'O CLOCK. Then the craft it was orbiting took off after. Still the first object remains in the same position. About 15 to 20 seconds later it shot off going straght back, also at a fantistic speed. As we continue to look in this direction, the third craft returns traveling back to the same position wtih another one following or chaseing it. We had a tele-scope out at this time. My wife manage to get these two ships in view and we both saw as they departed the one following had a row of three lights across it, this one flew off again to the southeast as the other shot back in the direction it came from. The objects were redish-orange in color and round in shape. In the telescope the one viewed was cigar shaped with three white lights. This all took place in the seaside town of Sea Ranch, California. (116 Miles north of San Francisco) Looking South-West down the Pacific coast towards San Francisco.

Extremely massive matte grey/black boomerang with no center section; jets scrambled; no lights, possible aura.

I was in my jacuzzi looking at the sky. Solar flares had been in the news starting April 7 and it was soon thereafter.

Exactly overhead I noticed an aberation moving across the sky. A solar flare I thought. But after watching it I noticed the well defined shape and that it had a couple of distinct characteristics. It was shaped like a long boomerang, but wasn't quite as angled, and it spanned a substantial section of the sky. It looked matte black or dark gray. The entire inside edge was very sharp and the center section (perhaps 5-10% of the entire thing) seemed very hazy whereas the rest of the object was well defined.

It moved from south to north to the west of Sonoma as if following the I-5 Corridor ((sic. See below. PD)) It continued north moving very fast, it was about 4 seconds until I couldn't see it anymore as it began to merge with the just-after-dusk sky. It was very high up.

I ran into the house to get my sister and she came out and we both looked. Within seconds we saw two planes together coming from the north. When they got to about halfway between where I first and last saw the object, one of the planes split off sharply and headed west. The other plane continued south. The planes appeared to be at the same height as the object and like most planes that high up, they just appeared as spots of light. In contrast the object had spanned an entire section of the sky which is why I thought initially it was a visual aberation from solar flares. (That could have something to do with an aura, but I didn't specifically see one.)

I went inside and figured the size by triangulation. I think it came out to somewhere between a mile or 2 wide. Somehow the size, height and speed had combined to make it feel very heavy and deliberate, like it was doing surveillance. It made me feel as if I had seen it, but it had also seen me. As if I'd inadvertantly and unintentially had a conscious exchange, like when I catch someone's eye.

I didn't jacuzzi at night for months afterward so I wouldn't be available for another encounter. Too chilling.

While fishing on Lake Sonoma my friend and I saw two lights in the trees. We were on a boat in the center of the lake. The lights were about 200 yard away. The lights got bright and started to change colors. Eventually the craft came over to our boat and followed us back to camp.

It was April 2,1994. Daylight savings time. A buddy and I from work decided to go for a fishing trip on the boat he just bought. We picked Lake Sonoma , and you had to get to the campsites by boat. We set up camp friday night just by dark, then decided to cast a few times off the shore and ;ended up staying up all night. The next day we did alot of trolling around. caught and released a couple of small mouth bass. Later we ate and went back out to the marina. (we are camping aprox. 4-5 miles north of the marina which was near the dam) It took about 20-25 mins at top speed-25 mph-. We We saw this guy working on a houseboa and we all talked for a while. Later we went to the boat ramp to catfish. I was looking east from the boat ramp when I was A flash in the sky comming from just behind the mountains, then a second later two more quickley repeated flashs. It seemed only slightly odd but I told my friend what I saw. It was about 11:00 pm. We ran out of worms. My friend had alot more catfish bait back at camp. It was a long ride back but we figured it was worth getting the bait since the fish were bitting. We started heading back and noticed the fuel was almost empty, so we changed tanks. We headed up, north from the dam. All we had for light was my 5-cell mag light. There were stumps protruding from the water so we sere going to have to be careful. We rounded the corner up the north fork toward Cloverdale. The wind was so strong that water was coming over the front of the boat, we reduced our speed to 5 kph. After we passed the public boat ramp, my friend noticed two lights up on the hill and said,"Hey, look at the four wheeler up on the hill. He's really moving throuhg the trees." I said,"Are you sure, how could he be going sideways like that." All we could see were the lights. No object. It would sometimes come in front of the hillside and then be behind the treeline. Then I shined my maglight up at it and it went behind the hillside. It had followed at our pace for about 8 min. W! e weren't sure what it have been and didn't really think much about it after it disappeared. Then it came back and instead of dodging in and out of the trees it was above the ridged of the hill. It was about 200 yards west. This time instead of two bright lights it was two bright colored lights, each changing a different color randomly. The colors were beautiful almost hypnotic. It was as if each color had its own vibration. I could feel the light touching my body. Then my flashlight went out. It felt like some one put icey hot and electricity all over my arms. Then we looked up and it started getting brighter. It kept getting brighter and brighter. Then a colorful rainbowy mist fanned out from underneth it. It beacame a glowing ball of light. So illuminesant that I thought the hill had caught on fire. At that point we decided not to look at it any longer. As if ignoring it, it would go away. I still had to look at it every few minutes. Then it finally left. It had followed us longer that time about 15 minutes. It still hadn't clicked in our heads what was going on. I was afraid to talk about it, afraid if I did it would hear us and come back. The after a few minutes my friend said he thought the lights looked like an angel. I didn't think the lights looked like an angel but they were awesome. We talked about it for a couple of minutes then we stopped talking. We wanted to concentrated on getting back to camp. It was pitch black without my flashlight. About 5 minutes later my friend tapped me on the back and said look at this. I said no way I'm not looking at anything anymore. He said, you have to see what I'm looking at. I turned looked back up on my left facing southeast. I noticed an incredible looking craft slowly coming down the hillside, then after centering itself begind us it then closed in comming with in 100 ft. At first sight my whole body just colapsed, I was paralized in disbelief. It couldn't take my eyes off it. Then I could just say, "Oh my fucking God" Then the ! only thing that came out was air. My friend told me not to look at it,to turn around. So I did. We both started praying aloud, I followed my friends lead. We could still tell it was there by the reflection of it off the water. The ship was blackend like tarnished silver and shaped like a jelly doughnut. There was a dark band around it horizontally. There were lights inside the band, rectangles with rounded corners. We couldn't tell if the light was coming through a window or not but the light was pouring out like lumminescent fog. We could see about seven lights around it. It was about 30 ft. tall and about 200 feet wide? The ship so close to the surface of the lake that we couldn't see under it. After about 10 mins we saw the fork that lead to our campsite. We started to head that way when we realized it was a dead end. My friend turned without having to face the craft and we made it around the next corner when we saw two campfires. Then the ship was gone. In the sky over head a hugh comet seemed to take off from our direction. It started from one color and went through all the colors of the rainbow. With each color picking up speed. Then it was gone. We went back to camp. My friend immediatly fell alsleep. I did not...

On September 5, 1975 I drove up to the Zen retreat on Sonoma Mountain. My energy was especially intense so it seemed like the mountain top was a good place to go to campout, meditate and relax. The weather was beautiful and there was not a cloud in the sky. A handful of early arrivals and people who lived there gathered on the porch of the main house by the trees. We played music and sang as the sun set and the stars began to appear. Then something happened that was the most unusual thing that I have ever seen. A phenomenal bright light appeared over the tree tops between the garden and the house. Amazed and curious, I walked out from under the porch and trees to get a better look.

"Look at that light!" I exclaimed to the others as they began to notice it too.

It was awesome! We found ourselves looking at a huge, round, pure, white light as big as a mansion, hovering over the retreat. One of the men who lived there grew afraid and went into his house. I was feeling so euphoric that nothing could have frightened me.

The rest of us watched silently or whispered comments to each other. There were no other sounds; no breeze; nothing but the white light against a dark sky.

I made it a point to remember this moment in every detail.

At first the light was very close, just above the tree tops, but gradually it began to expand and move up and across the horizon toward the west. I could see was no spacecraft. It was just ‘light’ which began to fade in brilliance as it expanded. Gradually the ‘light’ individuated. Where once was a solid ‘light’, millions of individual ‘lights’ became distinct. They covered a full quarter of the sky. The lights got farther and farther away until they faded out of sight.

Aside from a few comments by the others who were watching, there were no other sounds. Neither the sound of a breeze blowing across the sky nor the rustling of leaves could be heard, for there was no wind. I saw no clouds in the sky and the moon was not yet up. I was now so dark out I had to use my flashlight in order to find my way to my sleeping bag. I would like to hear from the others who saw it with me. ((name and e-address deleted))

Long Cigar Shaped object keeps up with my bus for over two hours.

It was June of 1965, and I was just out of High School and on my way on a bus to Sonoma California Security Base for high (above top secret) Naval Security training. It was a clear day as the bus rolled through the rolling hills of Central California. I glanced through the right side window where I sat to admire the golden California countryside. I saw hovering over the mountains in the distance a huge object. I assumed it was a dirigible the Navy used to use during the Second World War to observe the ocean front property where they kept an eye open for enemy subs and such. Then I realized it had been keeping up with the bus for over an hour. The mountains in the distance were high, but this cigar shaped thing dwarfed the mountains it hovered over. I knew then and there it was a different kind of craft than a dirigible because I had studied the history of dirigibles and knew they could not move that fast. I also realized that dirigibles were not as big as this thing was. Keeping in mind that I was in Central California where things look closer than they really are, it had to be longer than fourteen football fields, it was huge, far longer than any conventional dirigibles being used at the time, or at any other time in military history.

I was on my way to a secret Naval Security Base with a Top Secret Clearance, so there was no way I was going to report the incident or I would have been chipping paint on a submarine for the rest of my Naval career. I was trained as a Communications Tech and knew how to spot unusual objects in the sky (because that was my job), and spent years on a ship (in plotting) during the Viet Nam era, where I used all available equipment to track and plot each aircraft over and off Viet Nam soil. I had pics but we were never allowed to keep a private camera (because of what we saw daily). The only pics I had were OKd by the training head of Naval Security in our sector, which I do not want to mention.

Wish I had hidden a few, they were something to see.

I attest to this fact, and to other sightings during various conflict actions during the years 1966 and 1968 in and around the Viet Nam conflict. The cigar shaped one was only the first, many more followed. I guess this happened because my job in the military always had to do with Top Secret Operations, and I’m sure they (whoever they are) kept an open eye on everything we did.

One time I swear someone (or something) saved our guys on four River Gun Boats (three man crews) when they did their best to hold five North Vietnam Junks full of guns and explosives until the sun came up so they could check them for illegal weapons and such and to take prisoners. I was on duty on the Bridge with my Flak Jacket and Helmet when suddenly all hell broke loose. The Junks all began to fire at the River Boats (at me too). The River Boat crews held their own as best they could, but I saw several of the crew hit badly during the fight.

All of the sudden four of the five Junks were blown out of the water by some unseen friend overhead. They just exploded into oblivion, no residual left. I saw only one flash, what looked like a lightning strike, hit a Junk and it exploded. I hit the deck when bullets started hitting all around my head. The last Junk gave up quickly, and our ship took credit for the save. I saw it, I know we did not do it, but since truth is stranger than fiction so I left it at that.

Thank you friends whoever you were. You saved our guys.

But all I have to offer is my word, no pics. Please do not ever mention my name over the air because I am still bound by my Top Secret Clearance (for life) and could be in lots of do-do.

Cigar shaped object hovered over Central California mountains.

It was a clear day as the bus rolled through the rolling hills of Central California. I glanced through the right side window where I sat to admire the golden California countryside.
