Saw dozens of light brightening and dimming seemed to be descending into the atmosphere, no navigation lights viewed through telescope

I've watched dozens of meteor showers, seen thousands of satellites, seen starlink, and have an ADSB antenna for monitoring aircraft. I am stumped on what I saw. Viewed through telescope and still unsure what they were. Youtube link, view details for a stacked image.

15+ Multiple orbs of light observed flying in different directions

I was passing by my front door when I saw two lights to the East, approx. 25° over mountain ranges to the East of Vista. At arms length, the larger light appeared to be the size of a single pea (Not the whole pod, just a pea). The larger brighter light was greenish white in color, stationary, and appeared to have a slight haze around it. There was a smaller white light approaching it from the North. The smaller white light abruptly turned toward and accelerated above and around the large green light and began heading slowly towards the North East and faded out and disappeared within a few seconds. The large green light appeared to begin slowly moving East, before turning slightly North East, and then also fading out and disappearing.

I continued to watch and about 20 seconds later, a bright small light appeared suddenly in the same area, began slowly moving South and flashed 2 times extremely bright, and then faded out and was gone. I then called to my wife and told her what I was seeing. She joined me at an upstairs window, where we continued to watch several dim and bright lights suddenly appear, sometimes two at a time and fly in random directions. (I put down 15+ craft seen, because that is a loose estimate. There were only 1 to 2 objects seen at any given time, but they would appear and disappear with such frequency, I concluded that they couldn't have been the same two craft every time). Occasionally there would be a larger light than the rest, that would flash brightly and disappear. This all went on for about an hour and 20 min and appeared to be contained to one small section of sky. This seemed odd to me. I am located right under commercial and private air lanes, and I clearly saw and heard commercial air traffic pass over much higher than the UAP's appeared to be. The UAP's made no sound. I did hear what sounded to me like 3 quick sonic booms far away.

I attempted to capture video using my phone, and will need to run it through some filters to see if I caught anything. I also tried to take pictures. MCAS Miramar is 23 miles South of my Location. MCB Camp Pendleton is located 9.4 miles North West of my location. MCAGCC 29 Palms is 97 miles North East of my location. Vandenberg Space Force Base is located 251 Miles North West of my location, and March Air Reserve Base is located 55 miles North of my location Fighter jets from Miramar almost never fly over vista. Frequently seen military aircraft in Vista include Vipers, Ospreys, Sea Stallions, C-130's, and rarely Air Force C5's will fly over heading East. No military aircraft were observed anytime during or after the sighting.

I am 45 years old and have witnessed several UAP's throughout my life. My father was US Army, and I have been heavily into NASA and Military Aviation since childhood. My family has a history of UAP sightings, starting in the late 1950's that continues today.

First there were 2 orange big lights, they disappeared and c/m and back smaller as 5 lights and were spinning in a circle

I was sitting outside when I looked to my left to see two big lights hovering in the sky above what seems to be the ocean, I looked away for a few moments and looked back to see them gone. I look to my left again in 5 minutes and they’re back and bigger, they dim again and one disappears and the top one breaks into 5 lights and was spreading apart and disappeared and formed one big light and is dimming and coming back continuously every 5-10 minutes.

Sighted a "satellite" that stopped and stayed.

At the above time, I was out on my third floor balcony, watching the meteor shower. Since we have so much light pollution, I was using a night vision scope (image intensifier type) that cuts through the bright sky. After sighting a few meteors, I spotted what I was sure was a satellite. It was the same apparent Size and brightness as the stars in the sky. It was following a straight steady course. As I watched it, I thought it was wiggling or changing speed, but I chalked that up to eye strain, etc. But then the object stopped! It froze in place and just appeared to be another star. My arms were tired already, so I watched it as long as I could and it did not move. The object was in the NE sky at about 45 degrees moving to the west. Since I was using the night scope, it is possible that it wouldn't be visible to the naked eye.

It came fast from East to West, slowed quickly and stopped then flew quickly toward the north star, with no sound

A bright light came fast from the East to the west until right in front of me and about 2000 feet high (I'm guessing). It quickly slowed and stayed still for about 4 seconds or so then it turned north and flew high into the sky, kind of toward the north star, until it was very high and looked like a tiny star with all the others. It continued higher until it faded from view such as in outer space. The trip up took about 5 seconds.
Sorry I may not have given the correct date but I didn't know I could report this so I didn't "save the date". I think it was Sunday or Monday March 13 or 14.

I was walking with someone I was having a conversation with. They stopped at their vehicle, and I was semi waiting for them. Just over the top of the truck, something passed above us. Friend in the truck didnt hear anything and I even called to him once, to which he didn’t respond.

It was shaped almost like a kite. The middle was black. There was “something going on” because it was blocking out the sky behind it, and it was so close I knew there was detail there, but my brain literally could make sense of it. I I also couldn’t tell if I was looking at it from its side or it’s belly. Like my eyes wanted to make it be flat, but it didn’t know how.

There was 3 lights, that looked like they could be regular ass lights. But there was like a “creamy” hue to them. I DID HEAR A HUM THOUGH, I know so frequently ufos are reported as silent. However the hum was very unsettling. It sounded like a broken subwoofer, only I could just barely hear it.

So now I’m yelling for this guy I’m with to look. He comes over and he sees it flying away from us. It seemed to emit s pinkish hue and We determined it’s flying like \ . He also can’t make sense of it. It was fast. He didn’t hear it, nor me asking him like a crazy person to come look at it. But that seemed to shake him a bit more considered how gosh darn low it was.

Got a call this morning from my boyfriend who is located in San Marcos, CA, stating that there was a really bright star, that it’s not the moon because the moon is on the other side of the sky and I need to go outside and look at it now I was reluctant being it’s an here then he said it’s making weird shapes has a different glow to it so I go look and it just looks like a bright star and then we start taking pictures as I zoom in I noticed two blinking red lights and my boyfriend zoomed in sent me pictures it started making different shapes it looked like and then I video taped it and all of a sudden it was captured like a huge circle more like a stop sign with a little inner circle within it not sure what it is but it def looks like a ufo.

1:45 AM Neighbors dog barking running around yard red fog in a mushroom cloud shape in the distance along with lights

1:45 AM neighbors' dog barking incessantly which is uncommon I go outside in the distance to see a bright red fog kind of had a mushroom cloud glow illuminating in the distance there is absolutely no sound other than the neighbors dog aggressively barking, As I took out my phone to film the red light fog immediately turned off . All that remains in the air was the fog like trail ( similar to a firework when it leaves the fog in the sky that is what I saw except this was definitely not a firework ) I stand there with my phone and in the direction and started recording and I saw to round bright yellow lights blinking in the distance , upon reviewing the recording through my computer I noticed they were actually more lights that could not be seen on the small screen of my phone .

It appears to have too bright yellow lights and to the left with a blinking smaller red light that went from red to yellow .

I then noticed in between those bright yellow lights there is a fast blue LED bright colored disc shaped light that flashes across the screen and travels in between the lights in an Up and down manner There’s also a small red light that is blinking in between the yellow lights as if it’s traveling in a saucer shaped pattern, during this time my neighbors dog was still barking incessantly and I decided to go inside because I became a little spooked the dog remained barking running back-and-forth in the neighbors yard for a good 10 or 15 minutes which is extremely uncommon this dog never barks at this hour!

Several bright colored orange balls of light floating north, about 1/4 mile high. No noise or trails.

My wife and I and our 3 boys were driving home from Christmas eve at my parents' house. When we crested a small hill in the road, heading south on east vista way, we all saw several orange colored balls of light floating or drifting along heading north over East Vista Way and Mason Street. There were about 10 to 12 of these balls, just slowly floating north toward us.

I asked my wife to pull over so I could film the event, but she would not stop do to our scared and frighten kids. She finally pulled over at the corner of Warmlands and East Vista Way, and I junped out just to see the turning off or disappearing.

One other guy pulled over and asked me if we saw the lights. He was very excited as I was.

I told him I did not know what they were. He jumped in his car and left, and we did the same, since the light were gone.

Hovering ball in my backyard.

My room is built in the backyard, so I had to get up to use the bathroom. As I was about to enter my house through the backyard door, I noticed a ball lit about 30 feet high in my neighbor's backyard, it was hovering there for awhile until it started to move towards my front yard. I woke my brother up to come see it, by the time he got downstairs and into the front yard, it was far away and he said it was a helicopter. It was no longer as visible when i first saw it. When i first saw it, it was like flashing a bit, like if a huge lighter was in the sky. It faded away once i called my brother to the front yard.

Very bright light floats over San Marcos Ca.

I live in Vista Ca, I went out to the back porch at 5:30 am and seen a very bright lite. I figured it was a plane coming in for a landing at palomar airport.

I stood their waiting for it to fly overhead. 15 min went by and I scene two planes flying in the same direction one on each side the planes passed this object up and flew out of site.

I thought it could of been a blimp I heard no motor noise and this floating bright light moved at a snails pace because now I'm standing watching and waiting for it to get closer and it's now 6am.

I was cold and went in the house and never heard it fly overhead..

low flying triangular objects changing colors 10 minutes apart San Diego North County

My family and I were headed to dinner while we were waiting on people to get ready my daughters and I saw a very bright light cross over our garage very low no sound. About 5 minutes later we were getting in car and another came over super low no sound brights lights that changed colors and turned into a triangle we got video interestingly a plane was flying over the top super close.

When we arrrived to dinner we kept seeing another object in the sky flashing on and off changing colorad dissapearing and re appearing I got pictures of this and zoomed in its a circular craft.

I saw unidentified lights in the night sky.

Location: northern San Diego county, California, USA.

Time: about midnight, Thursday (Oct. 17th, 2013).

For about 20 minutes, I saw some lights high up in the dark sky. The moon was in the West, these lights were in the East. The lights were not part of any constellation.

The lights formed a horizontal oval - the shape reminded me of an eye-socket. There were about 12-16 or so separate white lights (I apologize for not counting them), all about as bright as Sirius or Venus normally are.

As far as I could tell, the lights remained stationary in the sky (part of the time, I was driving on freeways, so my perspective changed a bit)

My camera wouldn't take a picture - too dark.

It was cold and the lights weren't doing anything, so I went inside and to bed.

I was out on my porch that faces south. Wind 1-2 mph from east, scattered puffball clouds. Night sky Illuminated by city lights. I saw what looked similar to a airplane gliding from north to south. It was very hard to make out as it seemed translucent and made no sound as it faded into the night sky. I thought maybe 3 large birds flying in formation as there was some lighter coloring at the center and on the outer tips. But looked more like a triangle glider with no lights and cloaking ability. To be honest it left me with an uneasy feeling. I scanned the city lit sky for the object but it never came into view again. Also note that there was a high presence of military air traffic.

Slow moving slow pulsating fireball that stopped in sky then dropped sparks and starting falling with sparks

Observed red fire ball travelling from NW to SE From the Pacific Ocean. I thought this was an airplane since the red orb was pulsing to a bright red color which made it appear twice as big. The speed of this object was traveling slowly and the pulse was about every 1.5 seconds. I had time to call my daughter outside to see this red orb.

When the Orb stopped in the sky at about 1800 feet I called my wife to come see the object. My wife came out about 30 seconds later and the orb was still there. My wife saw the orb pulsing in the same spot for 10-15 seconds . The orb then started to drop what looked like hot embers or sparks. With sparks falling the orb started falling and fading slowly until we could not see it anymore. The event has left me a bit confused. Can someone tell me what this was.

Pale object hovering over heighbor's house, with two dangling search lights up front, and 3rd light at tail.

December 30, 2007 My family had just returned home from trip to Anza Borrego desert, myself driving, arriving in our home's driveway in Vista, California about 8:30 pm Sunday night. Sky conditions were dark, clear and starry. No cloud cover. I did not notice any wind.

My wife pointed to a point above my neighbor's house, one to the north of ours, and said something like "look at that." There, at some height was a pale, whitish object, with two distinct lights hanging down a distance greater than the length of the object's body, and a third light right at the object's tail end. The object's body was about the same apparent field-of-view as the length of my finger held up at arms length. The object made no discernible noise, yet moved in a forward sense, and turned slowly, such that the "tail light" was always to the rear. At this time I took three photos with my digital camera (that I had been wearing on a hip pouch, therefore was immediately at hand), with flash disabled so as not to wash out the picture. The object seemed to be above the tree-line of a eucalyptus grove behind our house, so it was probably between 100 ~ 400 feet above us.

10 X Nikon Binoculars were at hand within our family vehicle and I grabbed those, and saw the object clearly and in some detail. The body looked to me like a sack or bag, and I could see texture to the bag's surface, like the material had some kind of "lay" to it as if it had been made from layers. It got weird when I saw the two front lights up close--though there was no apparent swinging motion of the lights at all, the lights themselves were actually swivelling independently and looked like miniature searchlights, scanning the area beneath the object. The lights were intense as they projected from their mount position, such that I could clearly make out the narrow "light cones" just beyond their source. My recollection is the light had an orange-ish hue to them, and when the object had moved directly overhead I could see the light "flare" as it passed directly over me, and then one light seemed to train on me directly for a few seconds (evidently as I was looking at it, it looked at me looking up at it). But the light was not blindingly bright as it did not even leave a "blind spot" of persistence of vision when I looked away, though I had been watching through binoculars.

At this time I ran inside and grabbed my videocamera and came outside. My wife pointed to where the object had moved, which was now a few houses down to the south, apparently along the same course that the houses on our side of the street took. I then shot twenty seconds of video of it as it made a 180 degree turn, allowing me to make out the shape of the craft, seeing it from below and to the side, and as it turned head-on. A striking feature to me was that in as much as it was always moving around up there, it followed a pretty much straight-line course that took it over our houses. My understanding is that that is an exceptional engineering feat to get any kind of balloon or blimp to manuever like that and keep to a course.

A curved hovering object with bright halogen shaped lights seen in Vista

After shopping at Micheals craft store after work I started on my way home. I makd a left on sycamore and made another left onto South Santa Fe Avenue heading North.

Right after I passed the new Sprinter crossing I noticed lights floating in the sky slightly to the left of the way the road runs. There are houses on that side where it was floating, and lots of trees.

I slowed down to about 5 to 8 miles an hour. There are no cars around me. I turn my stereo off. I stare at the lights. They look exactly like the halogen lights people use as security lights above their driveway. There are 3 of them. They are very bright. There were no flashing lights like on a plane, and a plane would not be that close to the houses like this thing was. It was hovering really slowly. It reminded me of a donut the way it was curved around. The lights were in a line, they were the same size and shape. They were the same brightness. There was an actual airplane off in the distance so I could see the difference between the 2. This floating mass of lights was no plane. It was no helicopter.

I rolled my window down and I didn’t hear any sounds like a plane or a helicopter would make. I proceeded north and made a right onto Cypress drive. The lights seemed to float away over the hill and towards Shadowridge.

I raced home to get my husband and made him drive with me out to where I saw this lighted floating object, but we could see nothing.

I am absolutely sure I saw something and whatever it was that I did see was not normal.

MY FRIEND AND I WERE FISHING IN THE COVE BY OCEANSIDE,CA AND NOTICED A BRIGHT LIGHT. WE THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE A COBRA OR A MILITARY AIRCRAFT DOING MANUEVERS IN THE AREA. The craft hovered over us for at least 3-5 minutes before shoooting off towards the west and disapeering into the fog bank. Stange contrails in the western horizon off coast of San Diego.

Man! I am now completely discouraged by that rude, shell shocked operator on the NUFORC hotline. I'll keep it sipmple.

If anyone can tell me what the heck was making those strange contrail in the western horizon in San Diego County please let me know. And to that operator telling me it is impossibled to tell how high something is from the ground? Im not giving you an exact measurement. All I do know is that whatever it was, based on the speed, motion and movement this event was taking place at a distance measured in miles as opposed to feet. And to that rude operator who says UFO's done leave contrails? If I could identify that flying object I wouldn't be contacting you would I. If it was a small jet or comercial airline flying at high altitude why was it making such stange movements, why did it appear to explode into a bright white arch, how did it morph into a white sphere then grow into a much larger band of white gas? Oh, wait a minute Mr. operator, I thought it was impossible to determine the altitude of a flying object from the ground? High is right, far is right, very unusual is right. At this time is this a Unidentified Flying Object that left contrails (or maybe vapor trails)? Absolutely! Thats why I am doing this. I just hope there is someone out there that can help me identify this flying object.And mr operator, as for all those hoax phone calls from the (760) area code, THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!!!

small dark object in sky, not traveling.

I want to start out by saying I still hold out there's a possibility that maybe what we saw was some sort of mylar shaped baloon, like the sort you get from the super market. But I want to make my report in case others in the area saw something, the same thing or more and can confirm it wasn't a fancy mylar baloon. Would also like to add my husband and I were the witnesses and we both wrote our descriptions of what we saw and little diagrams within 5 minutes after the incident so the details would be fresh.

We were driving down Vista way, past the theater area and saw a black object in the sky. It was about 6:30 pm so the sky was still well lit with the sun just only starting to set. I did see a small plane in the area, like one of those itty bitty 2 seater ones.

The object was black, didn'ty seem shiny in any way, seemed rather small and high up. It looked like it was in my opinion either changing shape or rotatinging and the effect was it looked like it was changing shape. (If this was a mylar baloon maybe it was spinning producung the same effect??) Both of our first impressions was that it seemed like roundish and then more ovalish, flatter, like it was wobbling or changing shape. If it was changing shape or spinning it wasn't doing it at a high speed but was slow.

We pulled over into a parking lot and got out of the car and looked up at the object. It was then we noticed an orangish spot, or light on one side of the object. I couldnt tell if it was a light or not.

My husband's opinion of the orange light was that maybe it was a reflection off the top of the object from the sun that was low in the sky, but he wonders why the bottom of the object wasn't orange too if this was the case , and maybe the darkness of the bottom of the object was the actual colour of the object.

We were both frustrated about not being able to see more details clearly when I remembered we keep a small pair of binnoculars in the glove box, they're a cheapo pair and don't magnify very much but would be better then nothing, we were leaning against the car while watching the object so it only took a few seconds to grab the binnoculars, my husband looked away from the sky for even less time then I did and when looked back the object was gone. Just gone, weird timing on the binocular thing but maybe it was a coincidence. If it was a balloon we saw then maybe it popped? We spent another few minutes looking around to see if maybe we just lost sight of it but never saw it again. The object was sharply defined against the pale sky so it wouldnt have been hard to see if we had just lost track of where it was. Also the object to our eyes seemed to be in a fixed position the whole time we saw it (which made us doubt the balloon theory a bit) It didn't seem to be climbing in altitude either.

My roommate and I left our apartment and went out to our car when I noticed movement in the sky almost directly above and in front of us as we walked East through the parking lot.

When I looked up, I expected to see the lights of a plane coming in to land at Palomar airport, turning on it's landing lights and making it's banked turn West. Instead, I spotted a very bright red/gold light with a long streaking tail. The second I saw that, I reacted by jabbing my friend's shoulder to get his attention. I pointed up to it. It reached directly overhead when he spotted it.

It continued streaking across the sky, running North to South, and the tail even started to spark. Then it faded and went out of sight to the South. We both believe that this was a meteorite or a piece of space debris falling back to Earth. It appeared very low, lasted much longer than I've ever seen, and was really bright. If it was just a meteorite, it was a fairly bright one and still a spectacular sight for anyone who may have caught this one. I wouldn't be surprised if one or two more local reports come in on this tonight.

Strange orb over Vista California

I was standing outside of an AAmoco shop waiting for my car to be repaired. It was clear outside and the sun was bright with clear skies and unlimited visibility. I was observing a hwak in the sky when I noticed a bright metallic (orb) or possibly a cylinder. At first I thought it was possibly a mylar balloon(the type you get for a childs birthday) but I noticed a light aircraft below the orb, way below the orb! I called the manager over to observe it and he was also astounded by it. It was stationary from when I first observed it until it started moving(drifting?) slowly from east to west. The stationary position lasted about 2 minutes. We observed several commercial jet aircraft on flight paths directly below it also. I can easily say the the orb was about 10,000 to 20,000 feet up. It drifted then for approx. 10 more minutes and stopped for about 30 seconds and vanished from my sight. What is very strange is that it just disappeared. It didn't shoot up furtherinto the distance or zoom off, it just disappeared. Vista is south of Camp Pendelton Marine base. I would say that it was over the southern area of the base or near the boundary. I also wonder if it was some sort of observation platform they are experimenting with. Strange the way it behaved.

three triangle Shaped craft recon behind a hill in vista,ca at night.

I Am a begining astronomer. I was outside using my new telescope i got. I live up in the hills i can see the ocean from my house. it was a clear night and as i was looking at the stars light caught my eye. it was triangle shaped with redish blue glowing lights on each tip. I live in the midsection of a hill. it hovered above the hill and went behind the otherside of the hill for a while and then came back up. it was moving as a helicopeter would but move like a hovercraft. after it came up 2 other craft apeared in the sky identical to the first. they both went behind the hill slowly. about a minute later what looked to be 2 military jets(no joke; sounded like a jet atleast) began to head toward the my house and hill. seconds later 3 beams of light flashed up into the sky and disapeared. These were not human aircraft. i still wonder about the military jets still.

The first craft was in had 3-5 small dim blue lights in a triangular shape, although the outline of its body was circular, it was very large in comparison to a commericial aircraft at about the same distance. I would say 2-3 times larger at least. the 2nd craft was a triangle/ tear drop and consisted of three blue dots in a tight narrow triangle with a long blue tail. they were a few seconds apart and moving from the north to the south/east at very high rate of speed. the total time from when we first saw them to when they were out of sight was no more than 10 seconds

Travelling in an automobile westbound on the 78 freeway in north county san diego at aproximately 10:30pm. Object sighted south of freeway just over the top of a small hill. egg shaped.. almost like that of a chinook military chopper but could not see or hear chopper blades. the object had several lights all around of different colors including red, blue, white, green, and yellow. along the front or back i could not determine which was which, there was a row of white soft lights as well. i got about 15 seconds of solid staring at the object. it was dark and the ominous lights about the object made it difficult to see the details of it.

We saw a disk from the side so it appeared like a cigar. It was bright, "neon" green with a bright orange, firey trail running behind it.

I could not determine whether the flames were "normal" or were a sign of distress. We only observed it for 3 seconds and it did not change direction during that time. It only continued in a downward arc and went behind the trees where we couldn't see it. When we saw it, we were traveling along Sunset Drive in a northern direction. It was directly ahead of us, not high in the sky and arcing down as it went. After it went behind the trees, we continued to scan the sky for about 7 minutes as we drove but we didn't see anything else.

bright orange cigar shaped craft, at least 3 miles long, 1/2 mile wide.

I am reporting this for my father. This is his experience along with my grandparents whom are now deceased. This event took place in Vista California somewhere around 1955-1958 when my father was around 10 or 11 he said. They were listening to an Oceanside Ca, radio station called KUDE AM, when it reported a huge cigar shaped craft motionless above Oceanside. When my father and grandparents got outside, they said the craft was gigantic. my father estimates the craft to be at least 3 miles long and 1/2 mile wide. It was bright orange almost neon, and appeared to have some sort of structure to the bottom. several spaces along the bottom were black and square like in appearance. the radio was reporting that some fishing boats and commercial shipping were reporting the craft to be approx. 1 mile off the Oceanside pier. after 10 minutes of observing the craft, 10-15 small craft which were described as looking like bright stars, emerged from the bottom and began flying all around the cigar shaped craft. This went on for about 6 or 7 minutes, then the smaller craft docked with the cigar shaped craft one at a time. Then after a few more minutes, the cigar shaped craft began to slowly gain altitude and then as if a light had been switched off, it was gone. Not one word of this was printed in the papers, or discussed on the radio the next day My grandfather worked on B-24's and B-25's during WWII, and was later a manager at a local drug store.

My grandmother installed and repaired radio equipment on B-17's during WWII, and worked at the same drug store as gramps.

My Father was with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam, and is now an ((deleted--medical)) technician.

I have over the years been intrigued by this sighting and have been largely unsuccessful in finding out any info. I hope by reporting this, someone will come forward. After all, a craft of that size and duration of sighting should have gotten someone's attention
