On August second around midnight my daughter and I were sitting on a dock on Tahoe lake. We were admiring the full moon and Venus. Out of nowhere we saw a bright white light appear next to Venus. It was on the right side and about the same size and appearance as Venus. It stayed there a couple minutes, then backed up. It took off very fast away from us behind Venus. As it took off, it zigzagged up above and to the left of Venus. Soon after it turned red. It kept speeding away unlike any speed I have ever observed. The red dot became tinier and tinier until it disappeared. It was the strangest thing we’ve ever seen. We’d like to know what it was.

I was actually looking for bigfoot. We spent alot of time camping this summer, mostly around Tahoe City, CA. We'd go for night hikes, watching for wildlife: bears, deer, or anything moving. We found it strange that in all the tine we camped, there were no animals, anywhere. I took along a digital camera a couple times. A tourist camera with a flash. I would take random shots as we hiked. The first night, no pictures turned out. Weird. The second time, pictures came out, yet alot of them had interference and were not good. It wasn't until we were home again, back to work and normal in routine, that I uploaded the pics and checked them out. Using Imagex TO view photos, I had to brighten them a bit to zoom into the dark scenes.

What I have is astonishing. I have photographs of "alien" entities. We went snooping up a canyon that displayed odd lights. As the woods became denser with brush, the creeps had us turn back around. It was at this point we both felt that we were no longer alone. I snapped alot of pictures. As clear as day, you can see a bulbous 'green' head with enlarged eyes looking shocked as the flash exposes him watching us. Within the same minute of camera log, (the same one?) a kid size 'entity' is beside us behind a bush. The hike to our camp was twenty minutes. I took camera shots as soon as the flash recovered from the last one. I have undisputable proof. There are pictures that show 'aliens'? creatures? forest freaks? following us to our camp, as well as watching us through the night. I have debunked myself, my camera, my computer, and my eyes, but nothing changes what is there in front of me. I am not looking forward to ridicule. Certainly do not want to die. Don't want! late night visits from conspirators or cover up artists. Photos are innocent, not tricked photoshopped or lame. But they spell it out. All these reports and congregations of believers had better get a more convincing plan, because somethings going on, For these 'entities' to be roaming freely in the cover of night, somebody is sitting on files during the day. I am sure that using my buddies computer to report this is a mistake anyway, but.... Convince me you are for real and I will show you things that will change your life forever. Later

fast moving object with flashing lights disappeared in 4-5 seconds

I am a 49 year old father of four. This was my first sighting.

I walked out on deck to have a cigarette and noticed towards the west through the pine trees an object with lights flashing moving towards the south. It was completely silent. It moved in one direction for approximately 4-5 seconds and then disappeared.

It was flying somewhere near the top of Ward Creek Blvd. It was moving too fast and too low to the mountain tops to be any type of plane. The lights were much brighter and way different than any plane I've ever seen at night.

Normally up here it is very quiet at night and you can hear the commercial flights flying overhead. I heard no sound what-so-ever, even after it disappeared.

I STILL AM SEEING IT, IT HAS MOVED NOW IN A COURSE GOING EAST TO WEST ALMOST OVERHEAD. I SAW A HELICOPTER GO BY BUT THIS LIGHT WAS VERY FAR AWAY FROM THE HELICOPTER, SO I KNOW IT WASN'T A HELICOPTER, IT IS JUST TOO FAR AWAY TO GET ANY DETAIL, BUT IT IS STILL GOING AT A VERY SLOW PACE.

I SAW A LIGHT WHICH I THOUGHT WAS A STAR BUT IT WAS MOVING IN A NORTH TO SOUTH COURSE, SO I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A SATELITE. IT THEN STARTED MOVING IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. VERY SLOWLY BUT IT IS DEFINETLY MOVING BUT NOT IN AN ORBIT FORMATION IT IS MOVING UP AND DOWN AND SIDE TO SIDE BUT IT IS STAYING IN THE SAME GENERAL AREA. I LOOK AT THE STARS OFTEN AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE. I THOUGHT IT MAY HAVE BEEN AN AIRCRAFT BUT IT WAS TOO HIGH UP. I JUST CAN'T TELL WHAT IT IS. THERE IS A LIGHT WHICH WAS THE SAME BRIGHTNESS AS A STAR BUT AS IT GOT CLOSER OR SEEMED TO GET CLOSER IT GOT DIMMER. MOVEMENT IS STEADY AND NO JERKING AROUND BUT IT MOVEMENT IS VERY SLOW AND IN ALL DIRECTIONS. I LIVE IN LAKE TAHOE AND I WAS LOOKING OUT MY BACK DECK INTO THE EAST TOWARDS RENO OR CARSON CITY NEVADA, IF YOU WERE IN EITHER OF THOSE CITIES I WOULD SAY IT WAS STRAIGHT ABOVE THEM. BUT FOR ME IT WAS SOUTHEAST FROM TAHOE CITY CALIFORNIA. I COULDN'T GET A PICTURE OF IT BECAUSE IT WAS TO FAR AWAY AND I DON'T HAVE A TELESCOPE TO SEE ANY DETAILS.

'Satellite' that seemed to behave in ways no man made machine could move.

After the fireworks on the 4th, we were at our residence watching for shooting stars. At 6500' and a crystal clear sky, the view was breathtaking. We watched a couple of satellites go over head, the first one faint and normal speed and the second one much brighter and faster (I'm not sure if it was the ISS but it was very bright for a satellite). Both moved in straight lines directly over head.

At this point, we noticed another 'satellite' following in the same flight path as the first two. All of the sudden, it took a hard turn to the left (not 90 degrees but a fairly fast turn) went for a short distance, curved back to the right and continued curving right and then left for several more turns a bit irradically (going straight for 1-4 seconds between turns). The speed of the object didn't seem to change at all during the sighting as the turns were all fairly smooth. By the time it went out of sight, it had veered off 45 degrees from it's original flight path.

I'm certain that it wasn't either a low flying or high altitude air craft and at the elevation that satellites fly at, the G forces within this object must have been massive.

I have another witness who watched the same thing I did.

Sorry there isn't much more to the sighting than that but it freaked the both of us out as we couldn't think of any known explanation. Is there any similar reports to this sighting and does it have a rational explanation? thanks!

it looked like a comet streaking through the sky. cool.

It was sunset around 1930 on Lake Tahoe Ca. My Roommate and I were on our deck looking outto the SSW. Seemingly from nowhere a bright spherical light came out of the southern mountains. If you know Lake Tahoe, we are on the north shore on the california side in TAhoe City, from our angle it looked like it was over Emerald Bay but a way higher altitude and more to the west.

It started as a tighter looking vapor trail comming from a bright white sphere. Over the next 2-3 minute the vapor became thicker wider. After about 4 minutes from the initial sighting teh sphere gave off a big puff. A ring like vapor cloud floated for about the next 3 minutes where it the "puff" occured. From that point on the leading edge of hte sphere was the brightest and the vapors no longer came off only as a tight vapor tail but also as wispy trails arching like a parabola from it. After about 7 minutes from inital sighting it disappeared but the vapor trail still glowed in the sun setting over the western mountains.

My wife just came home and traffic in Kings Beach lake tahoe california stopped and many other people observed it.

I believe it was a comet that streaked through the upper atmosphere and vaporized.

Air Force Test Missile Out West

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (AP) - An Air Force missile test Thursday provided a spectacular light show seen over California and much of the West, as far away as Utah and New Mexico.

The colorful contrail was seen soon after the unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile blasted off at 7:36 p.m. from an underground silo at the Vandenberg military base north of Santa Barbara.

"The smoke went up in spirals as the sun was setting and turned into an orange, amber color. It was like a flower going into bloom pretty quickly," said Simon Cox, who saw it from a restaurant terrace in Santa Barbara.

The missile traveled about 4,200 miles in about 30 minutes, striking a predetermined target at the Kwajalein Missile Range in the western chain of the Marshall Islands, the Air Force said.

Vandenberg spokeswoman Kelly Gabel said clear conditions were responsible for the spectacular light show.

"We do this two or three times a year, but because the weather was so perfect we decided to launch it early," Gabel said. As a result, people were still awake to see it, and although the sun had set, sunlight below the horizon glinted off unspent fuel particles and water droplets.

"Suddenly we're getting calls from people as far away as New Mexico who saw it and want to know what it is," Gabel said.

The mission was directed by the 576th Flight Test Squadron at Vandenberg and the 341th Space Wing and the 341st Space Wing, from Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana.

The purpose was to test launch systems and the missile's accuracy and reliability.
