I was outside in the backyard, and I looked up at the sky to look at stars and to try to see airplanes. I observed two stars to the southwest and one airplane possibly a commercial plane directly above me. I could tell it was an airplane because it had a blinking red light on the bottom and the wing lights were red and green. I then noticed more lights moving and observed an unidentified flying object crossing my field of vision from the south heading northwest. It was two pairs of amber lights flying at a seemingly slow pace. It would have had to be daylight to be sure but I am reasonably confident that the object was above the usual altitude for VFR flight but it seemed much closer and larger than a commercial aircraft which would place it somewhere between two and six thousand feet in my estimation. I have had some ground school and flight sim experience but not enough to identify altitudes at night confidently. The object increased in speed and flew off ! to the northwest.

Strange light beam follows diamond shaped object.

I was walking my dog southbound on the west side of a residential street. I often stargaze when walking and was looking up at the super moon when a light caught the corner of my eye. I looked southeast and saw what appeared to be a searchlight sweeping to the west. It had a peculiar rounded diamond shape at the head but was a round light beam off into the distance behind a row of houses.

It appeared to be very distant, but was low and rising as it went west, it faded away from the back and disappeared to my southwest. The beam of light was very bright, like a searchlight at a casino or car dealership, but it was very focused and dense. It disappeared after only a few seconds.

Cheveron shaped object seen above the skies of SouthBay area near LAX.

I was looking up in the evening sky, when I saw a faint looking star moving southwards. I thought it could be a satellite, as I was watching this move, a flash came from the southeastern direction. It was a quick white flash as if someone was trying to say "hey I'm over here". My sister happen to be looking up at the time as well, and said "was that a falling star or what". I said "no", I was watching that other star looking object, which was just north west of this flash, when this flash turned on and slowly turned off. It wasn't like a falling star at all,it was if someone turned on a bright white light, then slowly it turned off.

About 3 mins later I happen to look up, and as I did, I noticed object fly just above me heading north, it appeared to have a whispy orange glow which seemed to have two bright lights at the front of it, almost shaped like a triangle with rounded edges. I mentioned it to my sister who was sitting next to me. I thought did I just imagine it, or was I just really tired.

I was curious to know what this might have been, so I grabbed my binoculars Nikon 10x50, I aimed towards the area where I saw the flash originally, as I was searching the skies, this object flew within my view, it was huge. It seemed to have two sets of lights in a row in what seemed to appear as a "v" shaped object.

Not sure exactly how many lights were at on the object itself, however, I do know for sure it had two sets of lights in each row which outlined this object. I watched it as it flew almost gliding throught the sky heading northest. I was telling my sister to look up where I was pointing, I did not want to loose sight of this object within the binoculars view, she said she saw nothing.

I am assuming this object must have been up pretty high for my sister not to see it, however, when I saw it looking through the binoculars it appeared to be large. I would say it was twice the size of a jetliner.

The best way I can describe this object is by comparison.

Example: Looking up approx. 1000ft at a 747 jetliner, through my 10x50 binoculars, the plane would appear to be the size of a nickle, and the bottom of the airliner would be difficult to see clearly as it is dark, and generally there are no lights at the bottom of the craft, perhaps a blue and red light at the wings and a white/yellowish light at the front of the plane.

Now looking a this "v" shaped object it seemed like the lights were a whitish color, yet not blinding, and the object looked to be the size of a 50cent piece, quite large. I couldn't tell you what altitude this object was at, as it could not been seen with the naked eye.

Note: During this 15 minutes duration, my sister and I noticed the dogs next door were barking like crazy. We thought "those dogs are sure non-stop tonight". It was getting annoying listening to those dogs.

While viewing this object through my binoculars, my sister made a comment about the dogs, she said "did you notice the dogs stopped barking". I listened and realized yeah, they did stop. I am assuming that this could be because this object decided to fly away (heading south east). Perhaps, it was lingering around the area above the skies unnoticable, then decided to leave. I must say, the dogs were quiet after this thing departed.

I wanted to know if anyone else had seen this object in the skies: September 1, 2008 approx: 9:51 - 10:15pm ish, Near Torrance, Gardena & Lawndale area of Los Angeles, CA.

White/Silver cigar shaped craft dissappears behind powerlines

At approximately 6:00 PM on August 24, 2008 I was sitting at the Jack in the Box in Gardena off Artesia & Vermont, with a a friend, having a snack.

I was looking out the door at 2 helicopters that had been circling for about 3 hours over an Auto Insurance Auction facility in Gardena, CA near 182nd St & Vermont Ave. I spotted a cigar shaped white or silver object traveling fairly slow. I asked my friend 'Is that a plane?', he stayed silent and watched it with for for the next 3 minutes. There were power lines that obstructed the view, which the craft passed behind but never emerged from behind the wire.

Bright Circle seen in sky in Gardena

Around in the month of March my friend and I were going to a juice bar in the city of Gardena right before they were closing. We arrived there around 10:40pm. We got our drinks and went outside to talk. The sky was very clear that night.

While my friend was talking to me I looked up at the sky and saw this very bright circle in the sky around 10:50 pm and thought to myself "Wow, the moon looks very big today."

I then realized that the circle was really close so then I thought, "Wait a minute, that’s not the moon," and as I thought that I pointed to the sky and said to my friend, "Look what is that?!" and she looked up at it and as soon as we both looked up at it the bright circle flew across the sky and disappeared.

When that happened I yelled “oh my god was that a UFO?!” and my friend said “I don’t know what the heck that was.”

Ever since then it’s been in my mind.

A vshaped object with no sound flew overhead. It was up pretty high, yet the craft was large enough to identify.

I was at my sisters house, and went outside to have a smoke. My brother was outside as well. It was a clear evening, no clouds in sight. Both my brother and I were outside talking, and looking up at the sky. I stopped in middle sentence and asked my brother "what is that", with sheer excitment in my voice. We both saw something flying overhead. At first my brother thought they might be geese flying overhead because of the V pattern. I grabbed my binoculars and noticed that this was a craft of some sort. This object appeared to be gliding with no sound. It seemed to be a large craft flying at an altitude of 1000ft. It was a Vshaped object with what appeared to be white circular lights, I would say maybe three on each side with one at the point of the V. The lights were not bright at all, very dim glow. It was heading in the eastern direction.

This is one of three sightings I have seen in the past year. A few months ago my sister, brother, and I were outside and saw a circular craft, this also had a dim glow to it, and last year I saw a grey triangle craft.

I now keep my eyes to the sky every night waiting to see what type of craft I'll see next.

I witnessed these craft first on 07//3/01, @10:30am, approx. in the same area, that I witnessed them on 7/08/01. They seemed to be doing some type of arial exercise. Then at 11:05am, a passenger plane that had just taken off from LAX, was making its turn around the So. Bay area, , when all five saucer craft left its current position and went after the plane. I witnessed the passenger plane abruptly make a sharp turn and ascend to a higher altitude, when the craft began approaching the plane. They followed the jet for @ 40 sec. and returned to its original location. On Sunday 07/08/01, at 6:00pm I was looking up at the sky when I noticed a bright object, that appeared to be as bright as a star, I retreived my binoculars, and brought them into focus, and saw a Large triangular object, with lights under it which appeared to be changing color from an amber color to a fiery red, which could have be the suns reflection. I continued observing the object to make sure it wasn't just mylar balloons, but the object remained stationary, where as balloons will drift with the air current. ( There was a breeze that had also pick up in the early evening.) I went in the house to get family members to witness this occurance, and when spotting the object with the binoculars, I also then witnessed 5 additional craft , however these were saucer shaped, and were hovering also to the left of the large triangular object. These craft were not moving for some time, aprrox. 1-1 1/2 hr. in the sky.

observing night sky, noticed two large(very large)V shaped objects flying@40,000-60,000ft. flying W to SE. Both objects were illuminating yellow. Flying in a definite formation.

I was observing the night sky, when i saw near full moon two v shaped objects, Very large in size. Flying @40,000 ft. They came from West and heading SE direction. Moving at a very slow rate., sighting lasted several minutes. Objects moved in a formation , with a zig-zag pattern. Both Objects were illuminating a yellowish amber color light. from the entire craft. I returned into my home, got my brother and father to come outside and witness this sighting, and objects were clearing visible to the naked eye. Still moving in the pattern originnaly observes. All three of us agree this was unidentifiable.We Also confirmed this sighting was viewing the objects thru high power binoculars. And agree that these were not balloons, airplanes, or a blimp. These were crafts that were being propelled somehow. However, no sound, or contrail was visible or heard. It was slight moisture in the air, a contrail would have been formed if this a jet.

Many small lights in sky all the time,unsure what.Fire flylike,some dark some white,move fast.Not everyone can see them.Dont understand why.

I have been seeing small lights in the night sky sense the summer of 1997.This is going to sound crazy but they almost seem like they play hide & seek with me,popping out from behind a tree or pole & jumping back behind again. Like they know I'm looking at them. I have tried to show people but most can't see & laugh.Two others have been able to see them. Sometimes there are hundreds of them & other times 1 or 2. I don't know how far away they are.I have seen them following the power lines in my back yard, and also off in the distence & they always look the same, like a tiny dot of light. A lot of times I see them off to the west where bright lights are lighting the sky. They shoot up & down quickly, and seem to hang around the lights till dawn. They sometimes look like they are following a plain that is flying past following behind it. They hang in the clouds when clouds are in the sky, and when there are no clouds they seem to form a type of cloud around them to hide in. I don't know what it is I have been seeing. I can't fig. it out. I hope you don"t think I'm crazy or making this up. I just want to know what it is that I have been seeing for the past two years. If you have heard of anything like this please let me know what it might be.
