Low cloud layer looked overhead and saw slow moving white orb with blinking lights. Lights go out and dark shadow continues moving.

Low cloud layer from current storm provide a light backdrop. We are under LAX e/w flight pattern and are familiar with passenger jets sounds and visuals. In my backyard I look up and see the object, white orb with blinking red white and blue lights moving from south to north noiselessly. Then all lights disappear and I see a dark shape against the lighter clouds continue to move north. The dark shape then changes direction and heads west while appearing to descend. It continues west until it moves beyond the horizon. Time duration about three minutes.

Large dark gray object hovering in the sky

While driving to work at 8:15 this morning, I noticed an unusual shape in the sky. Because there were a lot of clouds, I initially thought it was a unique, very dark gray cloud formation.

When I was stopped at a red light, I could get a better look at it, and it was clear that it was not a cloud. It was an object hovering in the sky. I thought at first it might be an oddly shaped blimp, but there are frequently blimps in this area and I’d never seen one with this shape. This was much more flattened and wider than a blimp. I could make out what I thought were darker demarcations of some sort on it. It was mostly hovering, but could have been moving toward the west very, very slowly.

When I got to work, I found that 4 other people had seen it also. At a little after 10:00 a.m., someone came in talking about it because they had just been looking at it still. When I went out to look again at 10:15 it was no longer there.

Hi- This morning I reported what I thought was a UFO sighting - I have since found out that it was some unusual blimp flying over a convention for Blizzcon - put on by Blizzard video game company.

Just wanted to clarify/update my report.

Strange, white, glowing, moving lights where seen by at least 5 people during the day.

On August 3, 2016, I was driving to a recycling center in Costa Mesa, when I saw 2 rectangular wall shapes made up of white circles. One wall was coming in from the left and the other from the right and they looked like they were going to collide with each other. Suddenly, they came together into a huge ball and then split like atoms. I saw the individual white circles glow like flames as I was approaching the recycling center.

I parked my car, grabbed my cell phone and started to record the lights move in a dance. Some white lights glowed brighter than others. The lights looked like alternating flames of brightness. I screamed and told folks to look up. All the people ran and stared. At first, we thought the lights were balloons until the alternating light and dance happened in unison. Folks grabbed their phones and started screaming and filming. The man filming next to me can be heard saying “there’s too many of them” and I can be heard agreeing with him. I was very excited. It was impossible to count how many crafts there were. I estimated about 15.

A few minutes later, they started leaving as they ascended past the clouds. Only one lingered behind, sitting on top of a cloud. After all the others were gone, the one that stayed behind flashed and disappeared!!! The video footage I posted was slowed down so that you can see the white lights. When played in slow motion, you can see some of the lights glowing. I paused the one light that lingered above the cloud. Look at it on the left.

The sun was too harsh and made it difficult to capture the video. This is why my camera is moving so much. I have been following these lights for over 4 years now. Most of my encounters have been at night. This encounter, however, is the biggest cluster of lights I’ve come across.

Witnessed a single point of light heading South and make an instantanious 90 degree turn to the West.

On 12-11-2015 at 2119 hours, I witnessed a single white light streak heading South at an undetermined high altitude while watching from my backyard in Costa Mesa, CA.

The light continued heading South across the sky until the object made a 90-degree, instantaneous, turn West.

I know of no plane or meteor or other man-made object which could perform such a maneuver.

At 3:45 pm 1/17/15, I was at work in Costa Mesa, CA. Just happened to look up a what appeared to be 5 objects, one brighter and bigger then the rest, moving along all together.

At first, I thought looks to be balloons, but I've seen balloons, and this was not any type of balloon or balloons I've seen before.

There were 5 surrounding the bigger brighter one and moving around and away from the bigger one and at times the smaller ones would move closer the chase the other ones away and move above the a 7th one came right through the middle as if they were playing they would move into a triangle.

Many orange red globes in the night sky over orange county california

My mom was getting into her car and I heard her saying something over and over loudly. I returned and heard her saying "What is that!!" over and over. I looked east and saw in the sky a very large amount of orange/red globes hovering in the sky. Some were closer and others were father away, in at least 3 layers back into the night sky. The close ones seemed to be usually close, and there were so many of them, that I considered that we were under attack, but they weren't moving quickly. They were basically not moving, or moving very slowly. I went into the house to get my camera. When I got back my mom explained that most of them had left. 3 remained which were in a diagonal line rather than the triangle formation that I noticed earlier. One vanished and another seemed to rise from the horizon.

4 Red UFO's drift over John Wayne Aiport

I was talking with a friend on the front porch when in the corner of my eye i saw a bright red light, which my sub conscious thought was a street light, but when i realized we were on a residential street I turned my head to look. I saw 4 brightly shining spherical craft in a vertical straight line solid in color and brightness drifting higher into the sky while dimming immediately to at least 3/4 the intensity. This happened in a matter of seconds and i stopped my friend mid sentence to have him see what i was seeing. They continued drifting higher and farther away towards the right, when they began to make an obtuse triangle shape.The lowest object drifted straight away from us while the other three went the other direction. At this point they were blinking red in color in a random sequence, they would all stay lit at different intervals from each other and would emit light for different amounts of time each time they did light up. They did this and drift! ed higher into the atmosphere until they vanished from sight. There was no sound, no smoke, and other air craft from John Wayne airport were still flying as if routine. I tried to take a video with my phone but only came up with some audio.

Extremely fast, dark gray colored octagonal craft with equidistant dim red lights

Late Friday around midnight, or shortly after, I was lying on the roof here and gazing into the sky.

I was lying in a position with feet pointed West, and I saw this crazy looking thing fly by from North to South WITHOUT making a sound. That was the first thing I found to be extraordinary for what I had just witnessed.

It is a bit difficult to estimate its size, because it appeared to look as if it were at a relatively low altitude. The best way to describe the size I saw would be to say it appeared to be about the size of my thumbnail at my arm's length.

The object was flying VERY fast (i.e. I'd say it took approximately 2 seconds from the time I noticed it for it to have spanned about 120 degrees of arc) and flew only in a straight line at constant velocity.

As for its appearance it was dark, dark gray with a shape looking like it could have been octagonal. There were lights of dim red in color in conic shape at each of the vertices pointing towards the center This is definitely the most perplexing and incredible thing I've ever seen in the sky.

I attempted to draw an image, but I have to say the lighting was much dimmer than what I had drawn.

Blue ring object seen hovering above the Costa Mesa area

Last night, around 10:45 PM, I was outside my house when I saw a bizarre hovering light. I live in Santa Ana, California, but the object was southwest from my position, into the Costa Mesa area.

The only visible part of the object was a solid bright bluish ring. A storm was approaching in the distance and it was slightly windy, so at first I thought it might be something floating in the wind. It's movement was very fluid, but still fairly erratic. The movement pattern almost looked like a plastic bag caught in an updraft of air. But, it wasn't very long before I realized that it was way too big to be something floating in the wind. It looked to be flying at a fairly low altitude, around the height that a helicopter might fly, but it's maneuverability was beyond anything I've ever seen a helicopter do. It slowed to a hover, then dove in an arc and came back up a few times, both horizontally and vertically. The speed at which it could turn made me think it might be a radio controlled airplane, but I've never seen one a big as this. It had no lights on it other than a blue/white ring on the bottom. When it tilted away from my perspective, the ring was not visible. Conversely, when it tilted towards my direction, the ring shined brightly.

It continued to move around the area for a few minutes, and then dropped it's altitude to a point where I could no longer see it, and I lost sight of it after that.

My mother was also outside at the time, and also witnessed the object. But unfortunately, I was unable to get a picture or video of the event.

We were at a concert at the OC fair. The whole stadium saw an object flying in the sky that appeared round with bright white lights in a circular pattern. It seemed to glide in the sky with ease. Just sorta hoovering yet gliding in a round pattern. It disappeared for about 5 minutes and reappeared it was up there for 20-30 minutes.

I have never seen anything like this before!!

Organic UFO over Orange County

A tadpole or fish shaped thing hovered high over the John Wayne Airport for 6 hours. It released and received spherical objects the entire time it was up there.

Very Bright Light in sky over Sourthern California... moving north towards Long Beach over 1 hour 20 minute time period

-Object in night sky over Southern California -Triangle shaped - brilliant small lights on one side of object - Lights changed from bright white to red and every color in between (full spectrum of lights came from this object!) -Moved from being over Huntington Beach (my guess) to being over Long Beach (also my guess) in approx. 1 hour and 20 minutes.

-At arms length, the object could have been hidden from view if I would have held up a dime.

How the sighting happened: I went out on my back patio at 12:02 AM PST to have a smoke and noticed a very bright light in the night sky. Originally I kind-of assumed it was a star but after watching this object for a couple of minutes I realized that stars do not change color from an extremely bright white/halogen blue to a brilliant red and seemingly every color in between... this thing was amazing and SO BRIGHT!! I ran inside and grabbed a monocular that I have and ran back outside to 'get a closer view'... what I saw when I looked through the monocular was a little blurry at first (the monocular doesn't have the best range) but after stabalizing my arm and focusing on the object, the lights seemed to be shaped like a triangle (many small lights making up a triangle shape) and the object was kind-of pulsing. I was in dis belief!! This couldn't really be happening!! I always watch the sky and until this night... I have never seen anything that I couldn't associate with some type of known object (star, plane or helicopter). After I was able to see some shape to the lights, I attempted to contact a friend who lives about 2 miles from me (I felt it was very important to have another witness - especially from a different angle then my view)... but he did not answer...

I watched this object for 1 hour and 21 minutes until it eventually moved behind a building and was no longer visible to me. During the last 8 minutes of the sighting, the object literally completely disappeared from visibility for about 2 seconds at a time on four occasions!! I would describe it as either rotating and therefore the lit side of the triangle was not visible or the lights on this object simply dimmed out completely... but the object was never completely dark for more then about two seconds. I verbally said "OH MY GOD" when the object first disappeared from sight completely and then re-appeared two seconds later... it was absolutely unbelievable! I took 5 images with my Nikon Coolpix 3.2 Mega Pixel digital camera but only one of the photos came out somewhat decent (attached to this report).

I REALLY want to know if any other people saw this object and what thier description is... my monocular isn't the best so hopefully the triangle shape I saw was not a trick of lighting or caused by the distance.

Triangular craft seen over Orange County at high speed

I was standing on my patio looking west into the night sky. I was looking between some large Queen Palm trees, so those managed to give me a feeling of scale. There were no clouds that I could tell, the stars were out. The sky was a bit hazy. We are near John Wayne International Airport so I am always seeing and hearing planes flying overhead, usually on takeoff, and usually flying from east to west (opposite to this things flight path) I also have a strong understanding of visual recognition of aircraft from many years working at/near air bases - I am in the aerospace industry. Note that we are about 1 mile south of Interstate 405.

At about 6:45 PM, I saw a motion in the sky that attracted my attention. It was moving from the west towards the east, straight in front of me. Since I was looking west, it appeared to move up in the sky. It was moving at a high velocity compared to the aircraft I usually see flying, perhaps twice as fast or more. It flew up to almost directly overhead, then turned abruptly to the southeast. It appeared to be increasing alitude, although that is a bit speculative. It flew between the fronds of the palm tree, and finally up over the roof. By the time I got to a better viewing angle, it was gone.

The vehicle itself looked triangular in shape and was black/gray, looking more like a mottled gray shadow against the black sky. It seemed as if the bottom of the vehicle either had a slight glow or was reflecting lights from the city below, as there seemed to be a bluish mottling over the bottom surface. The leading edge had a number of fairly dim lights, perhaps five to seven. I think there were a couple of lights on the trailing edge, but I'm not certain of that. There was no sound whatsoever, although aircraft engines were heard a few minutes later as a airliner flew over. The size of the vehicle seemed impressive .. I see aircraft through our typical haze all the time, including planes flying around tonight, and this seemed much more diffuse, so I think it was fairly high up, higher than typical commercial aircraft. The overall impression was a large triangular shape flying high above the normal traffic pattern at a high velocity, but that could be way off. I did notice a decrease in traffic around that same time.

Bear in mind I do not think this was "alien", more likely some sort of secret military surveillance vehicle.

night time sighting of triangular shaped object or lights moving quickly on clear night

Clear night with many stars visible when I noticed a triangular pattern moving from south to north with no sound. Unable to note structure of object but it was moving silently at about the speed of a small aircraft unable to determine altitiude. Light of triangle was constant but dim. I am an aviation buff so I know what navigation lighting looks like and this wasn't your ordinary nav lights. The city of Costa Mesa is near the coast so at first I thought they might just be three ballons floating on the onshore breeze and maybe that's all it was except the triangular pattern was constant and I would expect ballons in the wind to change positions. Second of all this object was moving more rapidly than I have ever seen a party ballon move. I observed a nearby flag ploe immediatley after the sighting and there was absolutley no wind if any. Now maybe there was wind at a higher altitude pushing this object on shore, but for me it was the constant shape with the quick pace and no wind that interested me. The object also veered off to the east and out of sight during the 20 or 30 seconds it took to move almost directly overhead. I was wondering if anyone else may have witnessed something similar that evening in my area. I also noted heavy air traffic with a military helicopter coming from the west, commercial aircraft on approach (757) coming from the east into Long Beach or LAX and another small aircraft to the North along with a police helicopter working off to the East.

Bright light moving fast across the sky

Looked like a metorite/comet shooting across the sky, but much faster. Started high up, going down towards the horizon, disappeared behind some trees. Took a couple of pictures of it, will email them to the address below.

star-like objects in changing formations

I was looking out from my driveway on a clear and starry night when I observed a formation of 4 more or less stationary bright orange objects hovering over the ocean south of my house. I pointed them out to my girlfriend, who was also in the driveway and then we observed them for several minutes. They moved into several different formations. One of the young people from the neighborhood was walking by while speaking with his girlfriend on a cell phone. The girlfriend was 5 miles north of our location. We pointed the objects out to him, and he described them to his girlfriend, who looked from her window and also saw them. The objects faded away gradually after a while and then 3 of them reappeared about 5 degrees west of the spot from which they had disappeared. The 3 objects affected several changing formations over a period of several minutes, faded away, and to our knowledge, have not re-appeared.

Two flying objects that were acting very strangely.

My neihbor and I, ((name deleted)) and myself saw two flying objects fly over our homes at a very high speed and they were swerving in front of each other in a way that was unusual. I called the sherif's department to report the event and never was able to talk to a person about it.

Small Translucent Triangle in Orange County, CA

Small translucent, black, triangular craft with three dimly lit white, non-blinking lights at each of the three corners of craft. Probably about the size of a jet fighter and lower in altitude than the other typical aircraft that were in the sky around it. I would guess less than 1000'. I live near John Wayne airport and there is always a couple of planes in the sky. I have never seen anything like this before. Not a sound was made by the craft. There was a large plane much higher in the sky, and I beleive a police helicopter close by judging by sound, but was unable to see the helicopter. I live about 2miles from the ocean, and this craft was coming from Newport Beach when I initially saw it. It then veered off towards Seal Beach, which is north from me. My brain was telling me that it was three white birds flying in formation. But when I first saw it I remember an outline, which is why I say translucent. It also was visably "banking" when it turned north, meaning the right light appeared to raise slightly. That was it.

Looking due west,observing Ursa Major directly above,2 disc-like objects entered my field of vision at an extremely high rate of speed.

At exactly 11;30 pm I was pointing out Ursa Major to my fiancee',facing due west,looking directly up when 2 disc-like objects coming from the N/NE passed my field of vision at the lower portion of the constellation.The objects were entirely parallel with one another(side to side)until I lost sight of them in the S/SW horizon.The estimated duration of my sighting was 4-5 seconds.The objects were yellowish-white in color,leaving no trail,no sound at all.Having a general understanding of aerial velocities of man-made devices,I can assure you these were not satellites nor were they anything like a meteor.I suppose if what I saw was singular rather than multiple,and flying in an intelligent formation at high speed,well,I guess I would've gone to bed instead of phoning you good people.

Extremely brillent object glinting in the mid-day sun seemed stationary and then took off straight up and was out of sight in 1 or 2 seconds. It was much brighter than a commercial jet glinting in the sun. Estimate the object to be 4 or more miles away. On the map of Orange Co. it was over the back bay area and maybe over the Newport coast. Witness was at the intersection of Harbor blvd and Adams. Heading south on Harbor. Apprx. 30 deg. above horizen and 170 deg. So.

Observer has a pilot lic. and is an avid vintage airplane enthusis. It should have been picked up on SNA airport control tower radar.

Object was fairly still, however would make unusually sharp moves on occasions.

At about 0130 26 October 1999, I noticed an unusually bright object in the sky. Located approximately. 20deg up from the horizon, E-N-E. It was (seemed) to change colors and was very high. A few minutes later I noticed a fast streak of light that flew quickly in front of it. That could have just been a meteor going by, but this other object that is in the sky even now, I can not identify. Could it be a satellite? I hope so. Or else we have some very curious people or a curious life form out there. There are no telephone numbers for reporting this kind of incident and the local police (non-emerg.) were only interested, "if the object lands."

pulsing, mercury in appearrance ,spinning on an axis.Looked as if maybe living or organic in nature.

walking from my high school to my home late afternoon. Conditions were sunny cloudless sky. Elementary school field backs up to high school field and at about the middle of the combined ballfields I was compelled to look up.

his later became peculiar as I realized the entity had made no noise. I was either preoccupied with entity and/or completly unaware of any outside stimuli ie/noise moving objects, etc.

About three telephone poles height above ground appeared a single spherical, spinning "mercury" like in appearrance entity or object.

I procceeded to observe this object while lying on my back on the grass of the field. It seemed to spin at a regular pace but sort of pulsed as a heart might. The entity certainly was at least aware of my presence as it moved jn an unnatural process from a distance within my perceivable range of sight [without moving my head] to the right and then left of the center with ease.

Then it came closer and then farther and was kind of putting on a show of its capabilities. Suddenly it was gone as if it disappeared into thin air.
