Saw lights over the freeway, pulled over and watched them at a park for 30 minutes

My godsister and I drove down the 580 from Richmond toward Emeryville at 7:50. I noticed a large cluster of four lights. They were slowly shifting above the freeway. We followed it for two exits and then pulled over in the Berkeley Marina to watch it.

They seemed to hover above the on-ramp to the Bay Bridge, near the water treatment plant. We watched it with three other people walking in the park. One said he thought he saw a shooting star just a few minutes before.

At the marina, the connected cluster of four lights became one or two. The thing connecting the other orbs made it difficult to determine their exact number. We watched the lights hover slowly.

The five of us watched the lights until around 8:20 when the three strangers left.

I am a 26-year-old UX designer between jobs. I live in Richmond, CA. I do have an interest in UAP but have never really had an experience. My god sister is a law student and a waiter who has little to no interest in UAP or any kind of paranormal phenomena. She was a good sport about me dragging her along to see the UFO. As for the strangers we met, I really don’t know anything about them. They appeared to be a couple out on a walk along with one of their dads.

Three dim lights in a triangle, and two others, all moving across the sky.

Date: 8 Feb 202 Time: 7:01 pm (PST) Location: South Berkeley, CA I went outside to look for the ISS that was passing overhead. I spotted the beginning of the pass in the north-west sky, looking like a moving star, and went inside to get a pair of binoculars. I came back outside and tried to find the ISS in the north sky. As I did I saw three dim lights in a triangle shape, and two similar lights a small distance off from the others, overhead and slightly to the north. The five lights were all moving easterly at a speed approximating the speed with which the ISS crosses (the speed of a low flying airplane.) I thought at first these might be from the ISS, but it was much too much distance between the lights for this to make sense (the ISS would have to have been at the height of a low airplane to be separated by such a distance.) The lights were not flashing, were not colored, and were all moving “together” across the sky. They were dim, not bright like stars.

I lost them behind a building, and then tried to re-sight the ISS, which I found in the south-east sky, at the end of its transit.

Sequenced lights in Oakland Hills.

I was just looking outside of my window, having a smoke; admiring the Oakland Hills until I noticed a large bright light in the distance, just right by the radio towers. It was had quite a large shine and would begin to fade after 5 minutes.

After the first light, another small orb began to glow what looked like just a couple miles away from that, but seemed to be even brighter. That one blinked quite a few times, and even changed color.

At one point. (green, red/ orange) it slowly died off, and then it got really bright, like a flash. Almost like someone was taking a picture from really far away (I live in Emeryville).

After that light stopped, another light appears not to far from the last blinking. The three lights became sequenced, but only one at a time. They look like signals, really. Really bright signals…

Formation over Berkeley CA

i was d home on I-80 west towards Berkeley. There's a big turn just passed the Carlson exit which gives you a view of Berkeley. Right then I saw the formation. It was about 25 degrees off the horizon, so pretty low. They were not higher than the red pulsating lights from the radio tower near by. Seeing the formation made me feel uneasy.

I quickly got off the freeway at the next exit and drove down to see it from a safer viewing point. The formation by then had dispersed, but the orbs still seemed relatively close together, until they finally either went dim or flew away.

There was no sound heard from these orbs and it was a clear night. I have a video which I will link later.

Pulsating blue and red light over the Berkeley/ Oakland Hills.

There is a light about 10,000 feet or more above the Berkeley Hills in Berkeley, CA. The light appears stationary and pulsates a red and blue light. My companion and I stared at it for at least 5 minutes and it was still there when I left- it doesn’t appear to be a star, since the blue and red colors are so pronounced. It also may have slightly shifted from right to left and back again, which one can only detect because of the lights relative position to the buildings from our perspective.

The light is located in what appears to be the northeastern sky from the downtown Berkeley area, just over the Berkeley or perhaps the Oakland hills area.

Small silent object seen flying towards Ocean County Airport

Myself and several coworkers at the Ocean County Road Department witnessed a silent object flying low in the sky on the morning of July 22, 2014. The sighting took place at our garage around 6 or 7am when we reported for work. The object seemed to change shape or possibly rotate in a controlled manor. While the object was moving in the direction of the airport, it was very low and not lined up with the one runway that existed there at the time. It did not appear to change altitude or speed and there was no light or vapor trail being emitted from it.
The recent government disclosure prompted me to locate the video to submit.

THREE BRIGHT ORANGE LIGHTS OVER OAKLAND AND A SHOOTING STAR

Three amber lights, the color of sodium vapor streetlights, were visible in the sky south by southeast Berkeley around 22:50. They could have been between Oakland and Hayward, perhaps just east of Oakland Airport.

My sister and I observed these lights from a porch in the North Berkeley hills from which we have a good view of the San Francisco Bay due west and to the south though trees block some of the vista.

The bottom light was a few degrees above the landscape. Above it was a larger and brighter light. Then a third light west of that one forming a right sided triangle formation.

We watched the lights pulsate for a few minutes and grow in intensity till they were perhaps twice as bright as the Oakland dockyard lights. We then descended to the street as my sister was leaving. From the sidewalk, I observed a white shooting star directly overhead moving northwest towards the North Bay.

I returned back up to the porch and saw the light formation, which had dimmed. The third, westernmost light moved off. With binoculars, I was able to make out additional details of the bigger of the two remaining lights. The main amber light was central, below it was a small red light and on the upper right was a small green light. All lights were constant with no pulsing. There was no visible structure behind the lights viewed through the binoculars I set up a Canon 5d2 on a tripod. I shot RAW stills and video for 2 hrs. with an 85mm and a 200mm lens. The first pictures were taken around 23:10 pm and the last images around 00:45 am. My mother observed the lights as well. The lights were never as luminous during this period as when first spotted.

There were a number of helicopters and airplanes moving about. The lights generally hovered over the Oakland area but several times moved west over the San Francisco Bay, just south of the Oakland Bay Bridge. It seemed as if the lights would move out over the bay when helicopter activity stepped up. After perhaps a quarter of an hour they moved back. At this point, there was usually just one light. The second would occasionally reappear, then either move off or fade away.

One of the lights, when moving back towards Oakland continued east over the Oakland hills and disappeared from view. The lights usually moved at a leisurely pace, but occasionally very quickly, relative to the planes and helicopters.

At times, the lights would fade out and then fade up while over Oakland. They would also periodically move vertically down, then back up again. They always returned to the same approximate area around Oakland, at slightly different altitudes.

Upon inspection of the RAW images, I have one object over the Bay with more discernible structure but I’m not sure if it is one of the lights or an airplane. You can make out a solid red light on the lower left end, perhaps a thin structure in the middle and a smaller green light at the upper right end. In the video, this light seems to flicker, appears as a tandem light and isn’t as bright as the Oakland lights so it might be a plane. It seemed to me that the airplanes had a red light on one wing and a green light on the other.

The problem was, the ‘UFO’ lights would occasionally move behind a tree in the foreground. Planes from SFO would also come from behind the trees, though on different trajectories and I would occasionally end up tracking those. However, these made jet engine noise, had visible structures, etc. as they got closer.

The vehicle in the RAW stills is moving northeast, then on the next clip, a video, it reverses and heads southwest. Then a faster moving solid bright light from the north swoops past it and heads back to the Oakland area. The vehicle in the RAW still continues south with blinking lights.

The Oakland light moved off west again around 00:45am and disappeared behind a tree. It did not seem to drift over the Bay again south of the Bay Bridge. I packed up the gear and went inside.

I observed the Oakland lights again the following day, Friday, 01/03/14 at approximately 18:30 along with a friend of mine as we were leaving. I saw it again at 22:00. I did not videotape this time. They may have appeared on one more night.

While driving south on the I5 freeway on Friday, 01/10/14, around 18:30, between Patterson and Newman, I observed another white shooting star moving southwest. A piece of debris separated from the main body and trailed off before it dissipated.

I have always had an interest in UFOs but have never observed anything unusual in the sky before.

strange lights in the fog

I saw something quite strange on my way home this morning as I was driving (east on I-80/west on I-580) across the Berkeley flats.

There was a heavy marine layer and I saw what I thought at first was lightning coming through but quickly realized that the lights were rhythmic, one on the left then on the right, left, right and so on.

This happened about three times when I decided to grab my camera and film it.

As I was reaching for it, the light changed to a wide beam coming down in front of me with the source seemingly just out of sight in the clouds. That happened twice I think and stopped just as I got my camera rolling so I don't think I got any of it on video.

I want to make clear that the source of the flashing lights appeared to be deeper into the marine layer than the beam of light which appeared to be just barely in it and that this layer started maybe 40 to 50 feet above the freeway.

All the lights were white.

Orange orbs over the Bay Area, CA on New Years and 3 made a triangle.

Just after midnight we were gathered on the balcony of our apartment building in Berkeley to watch the fireworks from the Embarcadero in San Francisco. We were watching the fireworks when 2 large orange orbs appeared in the Southern Sky and moved slowly across the Bay.

I notified my friend to watch them with me, and we speculated on whether or not they were planes. The two then disappeared, as having been extinguished. Just after that, 3 orange orbs in a triangle formation then came from the South Bay and two disappeared while one grew dimmer but moved to a place high in the sky.

Two more orange orbs came from the South and seemed to be advancing towards the orb that had stopped and then all of them 'extinguished' out of sight, and out of our lives.

There were three witnesses. The third witness did not see the triangle that the orbs made, but saw the orb that was suspended in the sky, and the two orbs that came from the South and followed.

blazing red UFO spotted in the Northern California sky Dec 31,2012

Walking home this evening in Berkeley, CA I observed in the sky what look like a plane flying in a blaze of bright red fire. At first glance I thought why is this plane so red, then I notice that it began slowing down in way that seemed odd for a normal plane in flight across the sky and as the blazing red plane became closer to view I saw a second plane coming clearer into view and then first plane began ascending higher into the sky. I said to myself that it must be a helicopter until it became going further up into the sky than I had ever seen a helicopter ascend.

I saw a neighborhood acquaintance that is in a wheel chair approaching and I called out to him to look up at what was happening.

While we were watching the first plane ascend so high that it look like a red dot the second plane was moving up higher while moving in the direction of San Francisco it was at that time we could see a third plane approaching as if was on fire then all three were gone from view I was back into my apartment and the time was 11:50.

I am so glad that I did not have that experience alone the two young men that so were also amazed at what we had just experienced.

I had planed to visit with my friend and bring in the New Year with friends but I felt to hot inside and decide that I would return home after visiting only 10 minutes.

I cannot stress enough how glad I am that I had two people around me to witness this incredible sighting.

Two diamond UFOs over Oakland/Berkeley

we went for a nice sunset hike at the reservoir. we decided to go out to dinner in berkeley. i took a slightly different way to get to highway 24 than normal, it was a bit faster and i never went that way before, i was like on automatic pilot. this new shortcut saved about 4 minutes. we when through the Caldecott tunnel and everything was just like any of the countless times before we've had a sunday out. immediately on the other side of the tunnel we all see two giant super bright orange/red orbs in the sky in front of us, coming in our direction. my 19 year old son instantly knows these are not helicopters and he alerts me to that. i look at them and i'm saying WTF. WTF. WTF. my wife is thinking those are very weird flying lights. my thoughts are "ok, these cannot be planes because they are moving too slow and planes just don't fly like this. must be a helicopter, i'll look for aviation lights, because by law there must be aviation lights.! no, WTF this thing is completely glowing orange/red and it's pretty big. meanwhile my wife is started to get upset with me because my driving is now erratic as i'm being completely transfixed by what i'm trying to understand. i'm searching my memory banks, balloon? no. blimp? definitely not. chinese lantern? no these things are big." then they are right overhead and i'm leaning over the steering wheel looking up and swerving on the road and my wife is now seriously freaked out and yelling at me. then i see the body of first one. the edges are what's glowing orange/red it has a diamond shaped metallic body and it looks big. so does the other one, there are two of these. as the first one passes and i make the mental connection that this is some type unidentified of craft, my entire body gets goose pimples and i get them even now writing this. i'm saying holy #, holy #, holy #, this is real, that is a real UFO. holy #, my wife yells get on the road, ! look out! now it's behind us and i can't afford to look backw! ards to see it or else we are definitely going to crash. i yell to my to look at it and remember everything he sees.

low-altitude red-orange orb slows down, then recedes to the size of a star and disappears.

My friend and I were walking around in North Berkeley a little before sunset. She said, "what's that in the sky?" I glanced and said "its just a plane." She wasn't so sure, and after only a few seconds we both knew it was no plane.

The object was moving too slowly to be a plane and was seemingly at a much lower altitude than a plane. It seemed to change speed, slowing down as it got closer to us. It was quite low, hard to say exactly but perhaps only a couple thousand feet or less.

At one point the object stopped and then began receding. It had become larger as it got closer to us, then got smaller very rapidly. It receded to the size of a star, then smaller, then disappeared. The impression I got from this movement was that it shot off directly into space at an extreme velocity. It didn't shoot across the sky, but seemingly outward.

The object was reddish orange. It's hue changed subtly over the course of the sighting. It was orb-shaped, ovular or circular but the "fireball" description may be appropriate as well, since it glowed and seemed to give off a dim radiance.

Why I am convinced it was not a normal craft: -changed speed -changed direction -appeared much larger than an airplane -shaped like a ball or energy or orb (fireball) -appeared to glow with a deep red radiance, not merely reflect sunlight as some planes do around sunset.

Fast moving craft in the Bay

Wednesday night after leaving a local Berkeley coffee shop, I headed (on-foot) down San Pablo Avenue towards Cedar Avenue just shortly before 11pm.

Suddenly, something prompted me to look up and to the right into the night sky (admittedly, this alone was odd because I rarely if ever look into the night sky and also because there was no sound triggered me to look).

Immediately I saw something moving fast, directly crossing into the moon’s glow. My first thought was that it was a meteor but before I could even complete that thought, it changed.

What I saw is difficult to explain. It was massive. Clearly looked like it had a cigar shaped body. And it was moving really fast. Faster than anything I’ve ever seen. And it was completely silent.

I’m terrible with distance but in terms of height, it was up not that high up and it was descending fast at a sharp angle.

Over the next few moments, my mind kept asking what type of craft is that? There were two red lights, lights, on its rear and it looked powerful.

Into entered into a cloud formation and disappeared.

I’m a writer; my entire education is in film. While I do believe in the UFO phenomena, that our universe must compliment life that is not only human, and that our ancestors possibly were visited and interfered with by beings from other places.

All of that said, I am a rational man. I want what I saw to be explainable within the framework of our scientific understanding while at the same time, if I trust my instincts and the awe, jaw-dropping moment this created, I can’t help but believe it was something else.

The entire time, all of four to five seconds, tops, I stood there asking myself ‘What ((deleted)) is that?’ I have seen shooting stars and meteors. While there is a chance that this was a meteor, it didn’t look like one. There was no streaks left in the sky, there was nothing protruding outward from this at all. Only two red lights, and this thing looked like it was firing towards earth.

Sadly, Berkeley is like most suburban neighborhoods where so few people walk the streets at night. Thus, when I turned around to see if anyone else just witnessed what I did, there was no one.

If it were a meteor, there seems to be no reporting from the science community. This would have made some impression because of its magnificence.

A friend found this discussion forum (http://www.reddit.com/r/bayarea/comments/ndio4/i_think_i_just_saw_a_meteor/) where a woman in San Jose speaks of seeing a meteor but then she says that it looked like a bottle rocket shooting towards earth. I think her mind is trying to make sense of what she witnessed, and seemingly we witnessed the same thing.

All I have. It was so brief and brilliantly impressive.

Triangular Configuration of Red Lights over Berkeley, CA

November 2, 2010 At approximately 7:30 pm, Pacific Standard Time, I was driving from Kensington, CA into Berkeley, CA on The Arlington Ave. The sky was dark and perfectly clear not obscured by fog as this area so often is. Headed southeast, I saw a triangular configuration of red lights on the horizon. The triangle formed by the lights was equilateral, and its apex pointed east. The red lights did not flash, and although it was difficult to discern from my altitude, were hovering stationary above the west side of Berkeley.

The lights were about twice the size of Venus, a prominent star this time of year, which was located to the east of the lights. Nearby commercial planes moved above and below the configuration, and were roughly the same size as the red lights, but were white, as planes usually appear. Using my fingers to measure, I estimated the sides of the triangle to be about 1 to 1 ½ inches in length between each red light. The triangular configuration remained stationary for about three minutes, and then started moving east towards the Berkeley Hills. I cannot estimate their speed, but I was driving on Euclid St. at 25 – 30 mph through a residential area, and the configuration was moving in and out of my purview rather quickly.

As I continued further south, the red triangular configuration moved directly east across the horizon, losing altitude and then dropping behind the trees of the Berkeley Hills, near campus. I stopped at Euclid and Hearst St. in an attempt to see where they had gone, but they were no longer visible.

It is (perhaps) worth mentioning my cell phone spontaneously turned off and then turned on a few minutes before the sighting.

Blue dotted lights forming a circle. Bright white aura in the center looked like electricity.

I was riding my bike down the street heading north one evening. The sun was setting and the sky was clear but, dark. I was looking at a bright star when all of a sudden I noticed a floating object. At first it looked like a balloon the size of dime as it got closer the object looked oval like the body of a bird without wings. When the object floated over me it was the size of a silver dollar or larger that's when I realized it was a UFO. There were two blue dots about an inch apart from each other forming a circle. The blue light forming the circle would rotate in all directions. It was so beautiful. When the object would face me full circle the white light in the center would get brighter like electricity. I've never experienced anything like this ever before. It was breathtaking. I couldn't get my eye's away from it. This sighting has been an awakening moment for me. I now know that we are being watched.

Two star-like lights chasing each other at an incredible speed

I was in the parking lot of my office at Albany, CA, walking towards my car at around 8:00 PM on 12/17/2009. I was facing north east when I saw two star-like objects just above the Berkeley hills. I paused for awhile to look thinking that these maybe falling stars but the trajectory of the movements were about horizontal (zig-zagging smoothly) and one star-like object following (chasing?) the other. These two star-like objects looked about 5-10x larger than an airplane in the night sky but moving much faster (maybe >> 20x ). The objects were also much closer to the ground. The objects were in the sky for about 5-10 seconds before disappearing in the horizon at a much faster speed. The star-like objects' flickering “arms” were mostly white with a few red and blue. I know how an airplane or helicopter looks like in the night sky and these star-like objects were very different. These objects moved so much faster!

Two Bright star like UFOs follow eachother over Berkeley/Oakland CA and zoom off into space.

I walked outside after a shower and looked up at the sky at the stars. I noticed 2 very bright stars. Brighter that most. Then noticed they were moving slowly. I thought that they were satellites but satellites are not bright like the north star. The speed increased and I noticed one was following the other clean across the sky toward the moon. Then the trajectory changed to moving up toward the upper atmosphere and I could see them beginning to fade in brightness and size. I could actually see the layers of atmosphere that the light was lighting up around them as they moved up out of the atmosphere until they vanished. Was incredible. Shortly afterwards I may have heard large helicopter in the area. Not sure. Weird thing is I dreamed of this last week in a very vivid dream.

Bright hovering lights that suddenly move together or apart, dimming then brightening in a bizarre dance for ~20min

Extraordinarily bright lights floating over Oakland or further South, 2 main lights that hovered together for 15 minutes, sometimes still sometimes coming together into an extremely bright light, then suddenly dimming, then separating again...

This dance went on in different variations for awhile, with small lights suddenly emerging from the two large ones, orbiting or zinging around the big ones, then reuniting and disappearing.

Mid-way through siting, a plane took off from SFO just west of the lights. Couldn't tell if it was north or south of the lights, but wasn't that far away from my vantage point high in the Berkeley Hills.

Saucer shaped object quickly appears and disappears over Golden Gate Bridge

UFO SIGHTING FEB 07 2009 I started to take pictures across the bay from Golden Gate Fields of the sunset near the Golden Gate Bridge using a Canon HV30 Camcorder. Since sunsets finish within several minutes or so I decided to take continuous shots.

I discovered a saucer shape object just above the Golden Gate Bridge in one of my photos dismissing it as a passenger blimp that I had seen occasisionally flying during the day around the bay within the past year. But after looking at the time intervals between my shots which had occurred twice a minute at most once a minute, it was quite clear that a blimp could not fly out of view fast enough.

I can formally submit three photos for analysis: A: Taken at 5:29 PM ( Camcorder stamped it as 6:29 PM because I forgot to adjust for daylight savings ) B: Taken at 5:29 PM ( Contains the alleged saucer shape object ) C: Taken at 5:30 PM ( Saucer object disappeared ) The photo in question can be seen on my website indicated below. Light-distortion moved methodically across San Francisco Bay to above Treasure Island, dropped, returned along same path.

3 of us were sitting on a rock outcropping with a good view of San Francisco after dinner. Persons 2 and 3 were busy discussing classes. Person 1 noticed a strange shimmering that seemed to appear in front of the Golden Gate Bridge, after which it began to move south. As it passed in front of the city lights, the lights in a small spherical area would become distorted (brighter and wavering), and return to normal as the object moved farther left in the field of view. Person 1 pointed the object out to Persons 2 and 3, neither of whom could pick out the object until Person 1 told them to look at the TransAmerica Tower and told them exactly as the object passed in front. They then all followed the object with their eyes as it continued to move slowly southward over the Bay. The object stopped directly above the island that cuts the Bay Bridge in half (Treasure Island I think it's called?), and we lost sight of it as it dropped directly down and out of our line of sight to the buildings (again slowly). We started talking excitedly about what we had seen before Person 1 again noticed the object; it had risen back up to roughly the point from which it started its descent. The object then returned along the same path it originally took. As it came in front of the Golden Gate Bridge again, it began to shrink rapidly and move slowly upwards in our field of vision until it no longer distorted the Golden Gate Bridge lights. It seemed to be moving away from us at this point, but we could be wrong as well; we could not, after all, see the object, but only the circular pattern of distorted light. I am "Person 3."

Unknown Streaks of Lights near Berkeley Hills/Moraga

I first noticed the flashes of light streaking across the sky at around 11:30, heading into a mountain pass to go up to the Berkeley Hills and Grizzly Peak from Moraga. The light streaked across the sky at a speed 5-10x that of a plane, and looped around several times, ruling out any possibility of a commercial plane. The lights continued to flash across the sky, and were visible from around a 10 mile radius. The instances were frequent but short lived, the streaks would last for one or two seconds at most. I saw the streaks without any doubt in my mind at least 15 counted times. My friend was with me and corroborates the whole thing.

Sighting is limited to photographic evidence, a single photograph taken pointing west from the Berkeley Hills (California).

I did not see these crafts with my own eyes, but instead observed them in a photograph that I took (without intending to capture an image of the objects). There are 4-5 disc-shaped objects flying in a length ballistic pattern perhaps mid-way between the hills and Marin County, over the bay. Close inspection of the objects seems to reveal different angles of flight by the objects, and some reflectivity consistent with the position of the sun is present.

The image is one in a series of four taken within seconds of each other, and the objects do not appear in the other three images, which presents fairly strong evidence that the objects are not the result of dust on the lens.

It is not out of the question that the objects are a product of the camera pointing at the sun, which can create some strange effects, but this seems like a somewhat far-fetched explanation.

Found will looking at photos take from a bridge looking into chicago, object appears to be a disk of some kind not really sure what it us. The collar of the object appers to be sliver. Did not see the object with my own eyes cought it on camera when taking photos of the main street running through my village.

Walking home on a VERY clear and sunny day. Looked up and to the north east. Observed two very bright dots traveling south south west. They slowly came to a complete stop, hovered for about 3 seconds and then, in a fraction of a second, completely disappeared.

All this was silent. My friend and I noticed it at the same time and when it vanished we both immediately looked at each other in disbelief. Very very strange.

On May 23, 2007 at approx 12:09 PM., in Berkeley Ca... I was sitting in line to enter the Berkeley dumps, when I saw a plastic bag, that the wind had picked up and was floating in the air. With nothing else to do , I watched this bag floating for approx. one minute. This was in a Easternly direction.

That's when I noticed a small metallic object quite a distance away, moving very fast. I have no idea of it's distance. At first I thought it was a satellite, because it seemed very small compaired to an airplane. It also appeared to be shinny, as if the sun was reflecting off of it. I watched it for about 15 seconds.

Suddenly, it appeared to stop for about 5 seconds. That's when it really got my attention. Then it made a 35 degree right hand turn, and seemed to have slowed down. I reached for my digital camera and snapped a photo in the general area. This is photo # 440. I could not see the object in this first photo. When I looked again for the object, I lost sight of it. After about 30 seconds, I saw it again, and snapped another photo. Bingo...This would be photo # 441. That's when the dump guy signaled me to drive ahead onto the weigh-in scale, and my encounter was over. I have never witnessed any sightings before and have no idea, of what I saw.

Dark, swift chevron-shaped craft with bright "headlight" over East Bay, CA

My eyes were drawn to a very bright "star" on the northern horizon. I thought it was a star because it remained in the same position for over 8 minutes. But it was too low on the horizon to be a star--and far too bright. After about 8 minutes, it began to move to the left, and kept approaching until it was nearly overhead. Looking directly up at it, it flew by--very quietly--and had a chevron/boomerang shape. It seemed to be going east of where a plane would be going (to either SFO or OAK airports). As it passed, I could make out smaller lights--I can't remember whether they were colored. It was a clear, warm night with many stars visible.

Large oval, moving slowly across building line, emitting extreme bright light with a tail of vapor.

Driving in car along Gilman st. when an extremely bright light appeared in the sky. After blinding me it seemed to head in my direction which made me flee the scene. The light had the intensity of an arc weld and lit up the entire street. There was absolutely no sound as it drifted a couple hundred feet in the sky. I returned to the location minutes later and it was gone. Interesting that the power had then gone out in the area. I ask people in the location if they had scene anything but all had not. I tried to reason that it was a transformer but it was very uncharacteristic of an electrical explosion since it was so constant. I it was overcast and rainy at the time and this object drifted below the cloud cover. Anyone see it?

Flaming object attached to balloon

My roommate came and pounded on my door exclaiming that there was a UFO outside. I was a bit skeptical, but willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

When we got out to the balcony, he pointed it out in the sky. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a flaming bag of some sort attatched to a large balloon, probably released by someone in this neighborhood. I had seen a similar one a few weeks ago. I felt bad about bursting his balloon (of excitement), pardon the pun, but I recognized it right away.

We're still, however, on the lookout to see a real one.

While driving my car in the mid afternoon of a day in the fall of 2004 on HYW 580 East-bound I had just crossed the San Rafael / Richmond Bridge on my way from San Rafael to Berkeley CA. It was a clear day as far as I can recall--little or no cloud cover.

Something caught my eye which I first assumed was an airplane. It was slightly (5 degrees maybe?) to the right of straight ahead of the car and maybe a few degrees above horizontal, meaning that I could easily look at it with only a tiny eye movement from where my eyes would be normally while driving. I dont know how to estimate the distance because I dont know the size of the object but if it had been a commercial jet I would have guessed that it was several miles away. If I held my arm straight out this object would have looked the size of, or smaller than my thumbnail.

It was silver in color. The shape was indeterminate and I could not make out wings, a tail section or any features for that matter.

What first caused me to be particularly curious about it was that it didnt seem to be moving. Everytime I glanced up at it it appeared to be in the same place. Had it been a plane it would have been slowly making its way across the sky but it didnt seem to be doing that.

So I continued to look at it for another minute or two while driving. Then, it began to change color, to darken to a grey and then a dark grey. This took about 3 seconds. Then, right as I was looking at it, I could no longer see it at all. It had kind of faded away quickly.

I pulled my car over and got out so that I could see clearly and there was nothing there but blue sky. I looked carefully around the area of the sky where I had seen it thinking that perhaps it had moved and I'd lost track of it but I could never re-aquire it.

Peter, I dont know why I didnt report this nearer the time it happened. Maybe it was just too vague an experience. Anyway, there it is. I hope it can add to your data.

i have 20/20 vision. it was a clear day in berkeley. i was lying in a lawn of the university watching planes from oakland airport flying over. i saw a small flash very high up, perhaps as far out as something in orbit. the object continued to flash about every half second. it was much too high for an airplane or any jet i have seen. it moved slowly accross the sky flashing a white light every half second that was visible in daylight. it wasn't sun light that made the flash-it did not change in quality regardless of the position of the craft and the flash was metered rather than one long continuous reflection or a series of random ones. i watched it for about 3 minutes. finally it seemed to move farther away from the earth and i could see it no more. it was not an airplane

huge illuminated object with flashing lights moving smoothly over Bay Bridge toward Oakland

We (I my wife and two of our daughters) were in our car returning from a weekend trip to Fort Ross. While moving slowly with a traffic along 580E toward 880S, we noticed a huge illuminated object hanging over Bay Bridge. There were a lot of lights on this object with some of them (on the top of its oval looking shape) flashing. The flashing light(s) seemed to be blue while all other lights were wight-yellow. The object started to move slowly and smoothly toward Oakland while descending gradually. We could not see it anymore after reaching ramp to 880S.

My radio (which I tried to turn on while observing the phenomenon) stopped working.

Flickering orange light (on fire?) moving across the sky; possible debris stream

The time listed is a guess--it was about 15 minutes or so after Game 1 of the World Series had ended, and I was walking to my house with a friend. I was walking west and looking at nothing in particular in the sky when I saw a very small object--it was West-Southwest from me, by my guess--basically just a spot of orangish light in the sky. At first I thought it might be Mars, still visible to the naked eye (I had been following all the Mars news during September and making a point to look for it when outside at night), but then I realized the object seemed to be moving, and the light (roughly the color of fire) was flickering. I pointed it out to my friend, and we started watching it. As we watched over the course of several minutes, the object definitely moved in what appeared to be a southeastern direction, with its light flickering brighter and darker (not radically so, but we could see the difference). After a minute or two of watching, something smaller seemed to fall off the object, casting its own identical light. It appeared to fall straight down, and its light extinguished after just a few seconds. The primary object continued moving southeasterly, and after another minute or two, its light slowly faded to nothing, taking about a minute to do so. By the time it disappeared, it was located South-Southwest from our POV.

there

that morning i was driving west bound on I-70 near Lambert International Airport. when i exit I-70 to get on I-170 north bound, to my left is the airport which had a regular commerical plane landing at this time. right above the airport there was a silver object shaped like a food cover that most hotels use. this object was ascending once i got fully focus on it.

this was a clear sunny day with some clouds. i watched this thing actully disappear into a clear sky. further up was a commerical plane at a very high altitude with a smoke trail flying southwest across the sky.

i really don't know what i saw. but i found it to be strange that 15min after i saw military frighters flying around and landing (which is normal because of Boeing).

i'm not a UFO believer, but i saw what i saw.

While looking from Berkeley west over the Pacific Ocean just after sunset, an orange light was seen about 5 degreees above the horizon. At first we thought it was a star or planet. It appeared to be pulsating. We got out our telescope. With the telescope, there was a black disc, and this was surrounded by a pulsating orange halo. It slowly moved below the horizon over about five minutes.

The witness reported that they had addressed that possibility, and rejected it. The apparently got a very good look at the object, and found it to be exceptionally strange. Listening to Art Bell 9/9, I was struck by the report of glassy cigar shaped object seen in Florida. Similar object seen here.

We were driving West on Ashby in Berkeley. I looked up an saw what I first thought was an airplane-shining silvery in the sunlight. But as we watched we couldn't see any wings. It moved slowly North and then disappeared near a tree- as if it winked out. We see blimps and such around here, but this was much higher up, perhaps 1-2 miles.

Points of light in the night sky in Berkeley followed years later by technological assault in San Jose.

In October 1994, about the time of my twentieth birthday, I was in my room on Hillegasse street near the UC Berkeley campus. I looked out of the window and saw a blip of light moving erratically in the sky. In a moment, it went away. I wished that it would reappear, and when I thought this it came back, this time moving in seemingly controlled, deliberate movements, as if it returned because I knew that I wanted it to return. It seemed as if it had a message for me so I said, “Yes”, obeying it.

The sighting seems to be related to an aberration that I heard on my radio, listening to BBC News as I fell asleep the night before I switched on the TV the morning of September 11, 2001 to see the horrors of the disasters in New York City and Washington DC.

In November 2001, I was on the light rail in San Jose, when someone technologically assaulted me with a weapon in a pager case. The weapon flashed rays in my eyes, and the person who assaulted me said, “I forgot”. The rays reminded me of the acoustic aberration that I heard on the radio that night before the morning of September 11, 2001. I now know that this person was being used by Fujisankei communications in New York City as a caricature to make money, and by the people of Fujisankei to pass for White people in what is left of South Africa’s apartheid.

I have had some difficulty in expressions about seeing and hearing thunderstorms.

I have witnessed a more constant point of light in the sky when I was in the Philippines in 2005 and upon my return to the United States in the years since that visit.

After the change in the government of Iceland in February, I contacted the Consulates General of Great Britain and Chile in San Francisco, concerning Stonehenge and Easter Island in relation to the 1994 sighting. Before reaching the consulates, I had only watched Fujisankei on Channel 26, but after my contact I found that Fujisankei was broadcasting on another channel, 60 digital 2, so I have the number two from the rongo-rongo tablets.

Rectangler in shape, lights all the way around it, no noise, darted up and down, left to right stopping very fast, maze like decoration

I spotted this object (bright light) from looking out of a two story house window, just star gazing. I realized it was flying over downtown Berkley, by the college. What aroused my curiosity was that it would dart up and down, right to left very fast and just suddenly stop. I got a friend of mine to take a look and he also thought this was very strange. We drove to downtown towards the college, didn't see anything. Took a right turn on a side street and I spotted it flying over buildings (I was not driving) like it was trying to race with us for about 40 seconds. All of a sudden it was gone, so I told my friend to pull over and park. We walked to the next street over which is Telegraph. Their were a few people standing at a bus stop. My friend asked them if they saw the object. They gave us a look like we were crazy. We jogged down the street and back, didn't see anything and decided to give up. On our way back to the car between Telegraph and the street we parked on, I was on one side of the srteet and my friend on the other side. I looked up and hovering over me and the building I was walking by (I could only see half of the object) was the object. It was rectangler, had lights all around it, but only the corner ones were on. It was dark gray in color, there was a maze like decoration that covered all of the bottom of it. Absolutely no noise at all. I had my 8 month old son with me and got very afraid and ran to the car, it followed to the main street. That was last I saw of it. When we got back to the house we called the Police only to be laughed at. We called news stations only to be laughed at.

Early 50's sighting in Berkley, Missouri

Hi, the date and time I listed is approximate. I was about 8 years old at time of sighting and some details (as time) are fuzzy. As I remember I was playing on street where we lived in Berkley, Missouri near Lambert Airport. I lived on Purefoy (maybe mispelled) its off Airport Road. We saw a bright object (orange) in the sky and as I remember we just watched it. As best I can recall we were looking north toward Florissant and the object was low in the sky but rising. I went inside and told my mom of what we saw and that was about it.

Thanks for responding to our possible mutual sighting.

Concerning my sighting and possible date, I tried to time frame it as best as possible. We lived at the Berkley address for a short time from the summer of 53 to early winter of 54. I heard you mention your sighting on Art's show in the past and said it sounded like my experience, but your sighting in 54 was a little late for mine. If you believe summer of 53 is possible for yours, we may have seen the same occurence. As I remember there was no sound associated with what I saw. Just a bright object, believe it was orangish yellow.
