Clear blue skies. I was pulling out of my property and saw the sphere.

The sphere was about 500 ft in the air at about 1,200 yards away. Sitting dead still. Shiny perfectly smooth sphere. Watched it for about 2 mins then it just disappeared. I don’t know if it flew off at super high speeds I couldn’t see or if it cloaked itself. I’ve had other hunters in my club see objects over the years they can’t explain either.

Traveling orb plus a ‘star’

I was sitting on my front porch which faces south. Several strong thunderstorms had already rolled through the area, the sky was heavily clouded and all was quiet. I was looking above the line of trees which are on a hill about 100’ in front of the porch. Suddenly I saw what looked like a large bright star and in front of and to the side of the ‘star’ was a blueish/white orb in front of the clouds. From my perspective, it was about 1/4 inch in size…larger than the ‘star’. The ‘star’ blinked out and the orb began moving southeast into the clouds in the direction of Long Island Sound. It was hard to judge the distance to the orb…possibly 1/4 mile. There was no sound of a small light plane or any other other aircraft…only quiet.

Ball of light, sometimes flashing red, white, green; sometimes bigger and solid white

Almost nightly, we see a ball of light, sometimes flashing white, green, and red, sometimes larger and closer to the ground, appearing like a bright white light. It's over farm ground, mostly wheat fields and blue grass. It moves accross the sky and seems to disappear/cut the lights at will. It does this when an airplane is crossing it's same area. I've watched that happen multiple times. It's below the clouds. It can move in any direction. I have seen up to three of these in the same sky area at once. It's usually just one though. I've taken poor quality cell phone video of it. I've also tried to take video when it's really moving around and had it disappear from sight before I can get my video rolling. We joke that it must just be the government or an Amazon drone. However, I think it's too big to be a drone. I watch it nightly from our residence. It's almost always off to the west. I've never seen it while the sun's been up.

Saw a green streak, fireball coming in a downward direction about 12 o'clock high in the night sky, northern sky, towards dayton ohio from my location in fairfield at about 12:45. Am. Saw nothing else, maybe a meteor? not sure was very fast. Iv seen meteors fall before, never green, unusual.

Upstairs neighbor knocked on our door and led us outside. She said it was tons of drones. Took awhile before i saw my first one. No stars or jets in the sky. Mostly cloudy, almost a full moon. Once i knew what i was looking for, i saw at least one per minute. Most were white lights, some reddish. Most small lights, but some were significantly brighter. All were headed in exact same direction, west, above the clouds. All moved silently at same speed. Came inside before all the activity was finished. I thought maybe they were a meteor shower, but there were no trails. Thought about calling airport to the north of town, but it was after hours. Ive never seen a drone at night, so i cant agree or disagree with what she said. I was trying to find out information online about military action, but i found nothing recent. Then i found this sight. I dont believe or disbelieve in ufos. I think they are a possibility though. Im curious about these lights.

8 lights flying South to north equal distance from each other and disappeared as they reached an apex in the sky.

We were outside letting our pets go to the potty. We were looking up at the sky remarking how clear it was and how many stars were out. Then it was asked what constellation/formation “that” was – and we noted 7 lights, equal distance apart flying from south to north in a straight line. We watched the lights travel and after they go to a point in the sky – they disappeared. I did note that there were 8 because after we counted the initial 7 – there was an additional one that did appear to come a bit after the first 7. We watched and looked to see if these lights/planes had gone behind a cloud – but it was clear there was nothing. They were just white lights – no flashing and no noise.

I estimate that they were between 5 and 10 thousand feet in altitude because there was a plane above and to the west of it that was a commercial airliner. Hello! I recently experienced an extraterrestrial event that was not a UFO, but could have been "alien" activity.

I was doing research on Malaysia Flight 370 and was piecing things together with a few friends (such as the fact "they are not human" was said in the blackbox recording and the plane had simply disappeared).

I was extremely tired so I had decided to put my computer down and to go to sleep.

I fell asleep and the next morning I woke up and saw a triangle mark on my right thigh. I sent an image to my friend, she saw it immediately in the photo replying "what ((two words deleted)) is that, you probably got abducted." That hadn't even crossed my mind. Then I was thinking about the research me and my friends had done the night before involving the sentence "they are not human". This seemed very stupid to me and I was thinking I had just overthought the situation.

A few nights later, I felt a pinch on my rib, and immediately passed out (it happened fast and I had no intention of falling asleep, but woke up the next morning). The area on my rib that felt pinched the night before felt extremely bruised. I looked at it to notice that it was a triangle mark, and hurt extremely worse than the one on my thigh. I do not have a picture of this one.

Long story short, I woke up with triangle marks on my body, TWICE. My orange tabby also kept biting at the marks, which he never bites me.

For two days, witnesses had seen multiple objects in the sky. They appeared like stars, but clearly move and pulsate. They reported 4 objects last night (5th).

Sillver cigar shaped object witnessed by 2 people in eastern Washington. Object hovered in western sky before vanishing

My husband and I were driving from Tekoa, Washington, to Spokane, Washington, around noon last Saturday. We were nearing the southern side of Fairfield, Washington. My husband pointed to the north and about half jokingly said, "Look. A UFO." I looked and replied, "Oh, that's a plane." As we got closer to Fairfield, we continued to watch the object, and the more we watched, the more we became convinced that what we were looking at was something out of the ordinary. I would call myself a UFO enthusiast, though this was my first sighting.

My husband is a confirmed skeptic, but even HE couldn't say what the object was. It was cigar shaped and white or silver. It moved at a pretty good rate of speed from the North to the West. We lost sight of it for maybe 30 seconds as we entered Fairfield. When we saw it again, it was sitting stationary in the western sky. I found this odd. I said to my husband, "If it hadn't been going so fast, I would say it's a blimp." It was also way too high up to be a blimp.

When we got further into Fairfield, we lost sight of it again, and as we exited the Fairfield city limits, we could no longer see it. It was simply gone. Anyone who has been through Fairfield, knows it is very small and doesn't take long to get through going north on the highway. It might take a minute so it didn't make sense to me that the object was just gone.

It was a clear day and should have still been visible. I didn't take pictures or video because my husband's windshield was quite dirty and I was afraid the object would be hard to see.

Solid green light spotted dancing in the sky.

While letting my dog outside, I noticed a green light hovering in the sky to the southwest. I watched it for a minute, wondering if maybe it was a plane. But it just stayed in the same spot, so it couldn't have been a plane. Plus the light was solid and not blinking.

After a minute I realized I left my phone in the house. So, I ran inside and grabbed it and started to record footage. Keep in mind, it's night outside and I'm using a phone for video. It was hard to keep it steady due to the zoom level that I used on top of it being on the completely black background of the sky.

It was making strange sideways and up and down motions, which is hard to tell on the video due to a lack of reference. I watched it for another 2 minutes then went inside to grab a witness. By the time we got back outside it was gone. I also realize for some reason the phone did not capture the green of it that I saw. The green that I saw was as green as a green traffic light. I would estimate its height at around 6000 feet and around 5-6 miles from me. The blinking in the video was when it would go behind a power line.

Above the north-eastern horizon, my husband and I witnessed a bright craft jetting straight upward into the sky. As it was halfway into the sky, another smaller jet type of craft appeared above the brighter one below. When it appeared, the brighter object started chasing the smaller object, then the smaller object appeared to shoot out deflector projectiles that exploded on the larger object below. The bigger object was not phased by the smaller objects projectiles and continued to persue the smaller object until both were above the atmosphere and out of sight.

11/29/2016, Fairfield, CA, large floating object moving west to east, early evening

Fairfield is the home to Travis Air Force Base. Around 7 pm on 11/29/2016, I saw a large airplane making a steep banked turn. A few minutes later I saw what I thought was a smaller plane doing the same, only less banked. What struck me as unusual was the steep angle of the banking and the low position to the ground.

Approximately an hour later, I’m standing outside in Fairfield, CA, having a smoke when I saw what I thought was a boomerang-shaped flock of white birds flying east over Suisun Bay. As they moved east, over Fairfield, it looked more like a giant scarf floating on the wind. As I discounted the scarf theory, and wondered what it could be, it looked more like a giant dark bird flying in a V shape. Only the size was too big to be any bird. Some stars were visible and I could make out the ‘wing’ eclipse one of the stars. As it traveled east, it blended into the dark sky.

There were no lights or sounds coming from that direction, and the breeze was minimal. I watched it glide by for over a minute. At times it reminded me of a 30-foot piece of fabric floating in the air. As it passed by (at a 40 degree angle from where I was standing), it was larger, darker, and more v-shaped … if it was closer I would have guessed it was a bird gliding by with wings in a ‘v’ shape. But it was LARGE, and quiet. There were no airplane noises or anything. It continued east until I couldn’t see it for the darkness of the sky. It did not appear to head towards Travis AFB to the south, but rather towards Vacaville to the east.

Surely someone else saw it. What was it?

I was sitting on my back porch, watching an eagle flying over the Kennebec River when suddenly this black dot the size of a star appeared and began to shine a green light intermittently as it flew over the Kennebec River toward the north before disappearing in a thick grey cloud. I had my friend and my mom both check it out.

Then we saw 2 more black, circular dots just appear out of nowhere and head in the exact same direction and disappear in the very same cloud!! These two were not shining any lights that we could see. I have been seeing these strange 'moving stars,' beginning last week. I saw 6 last night in less than an hour and a half. In cloudy light polluted sky.

Bluish tail mist





Bright light was traveling from the southeast to northwest with a bluish mist or tail behind it that was really long. Then the object started a fan shaped contrail with the same bluish mist that spread out over a huge area that tapered off to a point behind the object. The bluish mist stopped suddenly but you could still see the straight tail and the fanning out of the mist. The object kept going in a straight line and it seemed to be really high in the sky, at the very least in the 10's of miles up. After watching it for a few min it seemed to shroud itself in a mist again but not as much as before. It traveled that way for about 2 more min then it looked like it shot another tail of mist in front of it, kind of looked like a comet at that point, but it was in front of the object. Meaning it was traveling towards the tail it was shooting out. After another min it shot a tail out behind it while at the same time still had the tail in front of it. You! could clearly see the object in the middle of the 2 tails. After a few more min both tails vanished and the object was shrouded in a hazy mist at this time and continued on until it faded from sight.

I'm sure there will be reports on this but I haven't seen any yet. The initial bluish mist took up a very large portion of the sky.

Comet-like light in the western sky, traveling south to north.

A little before 6pm tonight, to the West, Southwest, about 30 degrees above the horizon. It looked like a comet at first, with the tail pointing down to the right, but it traveled very slowly to the North, lasting 10 to 15 minutes before it moved out of my sight. At times it broke into several white lights, almost a vertical streak of light with two or three white lights that fluctuated in brightness. To the south was a horizontal streak of blue light.

I was on the west side of my house looking south west at clouds passing the path of the moon when a bunch of little white dots that at first glance looked like stars, traveling in a uniform boomerang shape, when speeding across the sky from west to east at a high speed and didn't look natural and the way they moved seemed mechanical in nature.

Two pulsating lights over the hills of Fairfield

I saw 2 round bright lights descending out of the sky from my drive way I went down to the store and got back home and they were still there went in the house and got my video camera and started filming .then back in the house to get my daughter and here grandma to see we watched them leave they went back in the house I came back out side that's when I saw them again this time three coming over the hill moving in a trangle formation one broke and darted away the other two come to stop in the place close to the area I saw them before . I texted mother in law who lives in the area and she saw them to.

Groups of strange orange lights seen over Fairfield, CA at 20:00 on 3-21-15

I was traveling east on hi 80 and noticed 20-40 bright orange lights in different formations to the east.

I pulled over as soon as possible but by then a lot had disappeared, but still about 6-10 were visible.

I took a video with my cell phone but they didn't turn out great but are still visible crossing the sky. There was no apparent pattern and was certainly NOT one object. They would come from what is approximately Travis AFB, and travel slowly across the sky, and then just fade away.

Then a new group would come from the south and repeat the above.

Interestingly, I appeared to be the only one looking at this phenomenon. I google with my cell phone and found that approximately March 15, 2013, someone took a video which pretty much looked like what I saw. Someone gave the opinion on this site that they were “lanterns”

V shaped lights over Fairfield & Hamilton Ohio.

Saw a ‘V’ shaped lights move from one side of the sky to the other in under 6 seconds.

We live in plane and helicopter fly zone so are used to seeing them. My wife spotted the ‘V’ shape moving from a section of the sky behind me to the north east.

As I turned I spotted what appear to be a ‘V’ of lights either very low or very large. Didn’t think anything of it until I noticed it was moving faster than any plane, helicopter, or flock of birds that I have ever seen. Totally silent, moving north east to south west across the city.

When I first saw it in the mid sky, within 4 seconds, it had flown over the city and into the clouds on the horizon. Something that would have taken any known source a minute or more to accomplish, this it did in just over a few seconds.

The craft was larger than the ‘V’ of lights but we couldn’t make out the actual shape in the dark. Only noting the few stars shining over the city lights disappearing behind it as it passed.

The ‘V’ reminded me of a flock of geese but no way could geese move that fast over that distance. They wouldn’t block out the stars as they passed either.

Can’t explain it or identify it, so can only say it was an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO).

While walking home from store, my son and I noticed a strange peach-colored curtain, or tear-shaped object that was pulsating and shimmering.

We watched it for about a half an hour. A small engine plane flew away from it. The time was 7:45 pm PST on 11/14/2014

THESE 2 LIGHTS SEEMED TO FOLLOW EACH OTHER AND APPEARED TO BE CLOSER (LARGER).

SIZE APPEARED TO BE MUCH LARGER AND BRIGHTER THAN MARS APPEARS TONIGHT.

WE HAVE NEVER WITNESSED ANYTHING LIKE THIS!

Glowing pinkish red object. Heading north and silent running.

Viewing Location: Looking inland from the beach off Fairfield Beach Rd. across from Pine Creek Marsh.

Description: The object was moving when we first noticed it. We were looking inland so the object was over land and not the water. It was headed in a northerly direction. From start to finish the distance traveled was about equal to 4 feet between outstretched arms.

This occurred a little after sundown. I don't remember the exact time. Sunset was at 8:28 .

The light resembled a road flare from a distance. Red and roundish in shape. We only saw the light and not the object creating the illumination. The light itself was too large to be a plane side-marker at the perceived distance. There were no other lights around the main one. The shade of red was not the deep red of a an aircraft marker but a softer shade and unblinking though atmospheric conditions caused the light to modulate somewhat. A tiny white light took the place of the red light toward the end of our viewing and as it traveled this light faded out. We heard no noises coming from the object.

I just looked at it, shocked. It was at about 11pm. No other houses in the area. I never saw any aliens, just the ship.

The craft was sitting in a farm field across from the cabin I was living in. No other homes nearby. I had opened my door to step outside and there it was. A beautiful summer evening. I thought about knocking but it was about 11 pm-midnight so didn't want to wake them up. It was light pink (strangely enough) on the top, shaped like an inverted cup of appropriate scale. The bottom was like a skirt, ever so slightly flared. There were silver strips of chrome, just a1/2 inch or so wide placed spaced nicely, all around. Hard to described but quite appealing! I've only seen pictures of the typical ufo.

I saw a large meteor? white/yellow 3x size of full moon coming from southeast toward northwest direction. It was moving horizontally and appeared to be surrounded by sparks. It had a long tail at the end. The sky was cloudy, so I'm assuming it was travelling low in the sky beneath the clouds, otherwise I would'nt have seen it. My wife was talking to me in the backyard while I was looking up at the sky. She was facing in the opposite direction, by the time she turned to look it was gone.

Orange orbs rise and hover before dissappearing.

My wife and two children were sitting on our patio when I noticed a bright orange ball rising slowly over the tree line to the west. It was around 10:20 p.m. and I knew right away it wasn't a plane because the orange color and no blinking lights.

We watched it rise high above the trees and then stop and hover for around a minute or two before dissappearing. Not moved behind anything or faded away, it just dissappeared.

My wife and I were confused and had difficulty explaining it to my now uneasy daughter.

Suddenly another rose up into the sky and hovered. My wife ran to get her cell phone camera but we couldn't get the orb in focus. A third and final orange ball rose up just before the second one dissappeared. It too rose, stopped and then dissappeared after hovering for a few minutes. All in all the experience lasted fifteen minutes.

Neither of us had ever seen anything like this or know what they were.

We did an online search and found videos and similar s! tories and decided we better report this.

Quick moving sphere of light that exploded and disappeared instantly.

My brother and I were on our way home when we passed up an auto mall, and in the center of the road about 20 feet in front of us we saw a bright light in the shape of a sphere. It then quickly shot to the right side next an overpass we were about to pass up. It got brighter and looked like it exploded, and then instantly disappeared after that. My brother and I looked at each other puzzlingly and wondered what it was. We both agreed later on that it must have been a UFO. There were no other lights at either side of the road at the time.

Sunday night on my patio the kids set up a projector to show a movie on a white sheet and shortly after it started I noticed to the north these golden sparkles that were in the air maybe 20 yards away that came together and formed a chevron shape and it was about a foot in diaminter and it came at me so fast, came within 10 feet of me and did a u turn and flew over my house and went behind a tree and we saw a light explode behind the tree or something happened that lit up behind the tree. My 10 year old granddaughter saw it once it was making the u turn and went over the house and my grandson saw it light up behind the tree. I actually saw it forming from the golden sparkels and when when it was coming at me I jumped out of my chair and said what the f was that. I told James Gilligland about it and he thinks it was an ultradimenisional being, I think so too. I don't know if it was a ufo but I have seen a few of those to.

The object came up over the appartment complex as if it had been flying low over the city. It then shot down a few hundred feet in a fraction of a second and then went back up just as fast. It was an amber colored orb.

It then leveled out and went straight across the sky for a minute or two and then shot staight up into the sky and was gone. I know it wasn't a plane or jet because tere was no sound at all. We live near the travis air force base and I've seen and heard plenty of jets and planes.

I strongly believe it was checking out the air base. The person I had seen it with is in denile as to what we saw because he more scaired then anything.

I am a night sky watcher and I have seen a lot of military maneuvers and a few strange things in this area, but what I saw this evening I have to say something to somebody.

I had been watching what one would assume were military aircraft flying back and forth over the western sky of SE Iowa. There were at least a dozen of them. They were very large with one main running light pattern. They had very bright lights like on the wing tips and either red or white blinking lights. But there were varied flash rates. Some of the jets had a shape of a F15, all of them had glowing white rear parts of the engines. They did not increase in brightness during acceleration and could be seen from any angle from my position.

Now several of them were flying a rectangular pattern in the west horizon, as I was watching with my binoculars I noticed they were flying very fast. But they would make very abrupt 90 deg turns, way to abrupt for their speed. Then several were flying east to west and west to east directly over head. One was flying a north to south and back in a rectangle pattern. When he changed his course to the west of the rectangle as it turned there was a distinct triangle pattern to its white lights, with a blinking red light in the middle. This went on for a half an hour. It was some really strange maneuvers like I have never seen before.

The two jets came out of the south escorting a shinny object that looked like a large satellite moving the same speed of the jets and through the rectangle pattern the one jet had been flying. They went across the horizon and my view would be about 30 to 40 deg of the horizon. After the objects went out of view, all the jets split up. Some them were playing and chasing each other.

Saucer with Winged-Shaped Lights

Saw a large saucer shaped, flying vehicle passing low near the Great Miami River in Fairfield, OH. The vehicle made a distinctive noise that was not similar to any known aircraft. The vehicle had a deep saucer shape, but had lights simulating the winged shape of a terrestial aircraft.

However, there were city lights that illuminated the rest of the craft which was definitely a saucer shape.

Boomerang UFO

I saw a boomerang shaped object fly toward the direction of Travis air force base.

The object looked identical to the one depicted in an episode of UFO Hunters on the History channel entitled "First Repsonse". In that episode a segment aired in which a man from Lake Havasu, NV, reported a boomerang shape craft. This sparked my memory due to the visual depiction on TV. Also the object emitted no sound as it traveled overhead.

Gliding green light seen over Fairfield, CA sky on 5/6/10, 23:23...turned yellow as it continued its course out of sight.

I was sitting in my car waiting for a friend curbside outside a corner house.

I witnessed an aircraft gliding across the sky NW to SE in Fairfield, CA.

Aircraft caught my full attention when all I noticed was a green light that glowed from it, nothing blinking as is the norm for flying planes.

The aircraft continued along it's path and as it passed overhead, the color of the glowing light changed to yellow and stayed that color as it continued along its course and eventually out of sight.

This area is near a military base and several other aircraft (actual planes) can be seen in the distance with their blinking lights. This aircraft was unlike the others as it appeared to be a gliding light, not once blinking as the others in the distant sky did.

Crash down of a red green firebal at 7:10 pm Wed. March 3rd north of Fairfield, Iowa being observed by 4 jets.

My son stepped out for a smoke at 7:10 pm Wednesday March 3rd and happened to see a comet like object crashing to the east of the Fairfield airpor, surrounded by four jet airplanes.

To the eye it appeared about an inch across, was fiery red turning to bright green as it hit.

He expected to see and hear an explosion and sound but there was none.

Many other people driving in its direction must have seen it.

There was no report of it on the local TV news. I notified the papers and they didn't print a story.

It may have been satalite debris that did not burn up completely on reentry and was being tracted by NASA who calculated its crash location and sent the Air Force jets to observe where it hit. And such incidents are kept secret from the public so as not to jeopridise the space program.

My son is 30, a very realistic and practical person who is not into fantacy or the esoteric. He said the lights of the jets in tne night sky were far apart flying north all in the same direction over a broad area prior to impact, then they flew over the site for 15 to 20 minutes. Three of the jets arived together and were joined by a fourth which flew off in a different direction when they left.

It remained in the sky for quite a while.

It was the strangest thing we have ever seen.

2 seperate observations. Fairfield, CT

I figure I would submit my observations, though it has been a few weeks since the events had accrued. I guess the events took place around the 1st of October. I smoke cigarettes out side my home and observe the night sky every night. I live around NYC region and see many planes travel over my home, and so I would consider my self capable of identifying a plane easily in the night sky.

My first observation. I saw a bright light breaking through the tree line on a clear night, at a height I observe many planes around 11PM. At first I figured it was a plane coming at me in a direct line, and I was observing a line of sight to its head lights, although it was brighter than most planes, so I decided to observe it longer than I typically would for other night sky lights. The path the light was traveling was coming at me and it did travel directly over my house and off into the southern tree line. What I would typically see when a plane travels in this fashion would be. First the head lights when it is traveling towards me. 2nd the underbelly lights as it traveled above me. 3rd the head lights would dim and fade to black as it passed away from me, and I would observe the tail lights and the underbelly lights.

Well this light didn't follow those rules and it sutatined its single point of light through it entire traverse of the night sky and maintained its lluminosity. It did appear to be low in the sky although I can't declare how far that would be. It made no noise. After it passed beyond my ability to see it, I noticed that there were many planes in the night sky, more than usual, and their paths didn't follow what is typically the flying paths for airliners and personal aircraft comiing in and out of the airports around my area. Made me think that I wasn't the only person to observe this event.

A few days later, it was over cast but it wasn't raining. I was observing the moon light breaking through the cloud cover and it resembled the NASA Black Brant XII cloud dispersal I viewed on Youtube. I watched the moon light break through the clouds for awhile as it sustained the appearance of the Rocket launch for awhile. I have to mention that I felt that something was going to happen, it was odd, and it made me uncomfortable.

I looked into the northern sky and observed a light break the tree line, it was followed by 2 other lights. They appear to hold the points of a triangle and were traveling to the south. When I declared to my self that this was not something that I had ever observed before, the 3 lights broke formation and the leading light changed direction towards the west and the other 2 lights followed, but didn't take the paths of what I would say are typical of things I have seen in the night sky (radical and some what random change of direction.) It was a short event and lost sight of them in the western tree line.

I was out walking with my dog, on the side of my apartment building, and looking in the sky to see how the cloud cover was going to be for the purpose of using my telescope. I was walking back towards the parking lot when i noticed and orange pulsating orb flying over. It looked as tho it were really high up based on the size and comparing it to the space station which is viewable in the sky from my house right now.

The object was moving in kind of a zigzag pattern, but would also come to a complete stop and then move again, the movement of it was like in spurts, it would slow down, come to a stop, then dash forward really quick.

But to make it basic, it was an orange, pulsating, orb

5 lights in shape of oval traveled from southwest to northeast sky which looked to outline one object at 3:16 AM.

At 3:16 to 3:17 AM, I went outside before going to bed, and within a moment I noticed the sky was clear and saw what I thought were airplane lights moving in the sky. I then noticed there was an oval or ellipse shape formed by what looked to be 5 or more lights moving through the sky. The size of the lights were like small, not particularly brilliant stars, but bright enough that their movement against a dark clear sky were apparent. There could have been more than 5 stars but with the small size and distance and movement I was only able to count 5.

This movement caught my attention immediately. I saw the movement was slow and steady. I went quickly into the house and shouted to my brother to come immediately. He came out and also watched the object.

The Pleiades were to the south of this object and higher in the sky than the object. The object moved on a track toward the northeast horizon. If I were to draw a line to track its trajectory backward, if it had traveled a straight line; then it started west and to the mid heaven side of the Pleiades.

There was a notable gut sense the object was very large and quite a distance away, higher in the sky than perhaps one might think. But, there was no visual reference to verify this sense.

We are in Southeast Iowa in a small town of 8000. If there were no city lights we would have had a better view.

We watched to see if any star lights were obscured by its passing over them, but the lights of the object became dimmer as it traveled closer to the horizon was such that we never saw any stars crossed and we lost view of the object before it got low enough in the sky to have its view blocked by the trees.

I thought of calling the police to report this, it being so unusual; then decided not to bother as the object had passed. I reported this sighting to my ex-wife and a friend by email so that I would have a time stamp to record the time; then thought to look on the net to see if other had seen an object like this.

So far I have not seen a picture which matches what we saw, but only looked on the net for a couple minutes.

We are occasional sky watchers by habit when we go outside on occasion, and have many a time observed satellites on occasion. This was new and different. The low side of the ellipse was on the left, on the north side, rising to the right (south) as in the picture below. No sound was heard.

I am 55 and my brother is 49. We were not under the influence of any drug, but we did have a half beer each about 7 hours earlier, which surely did not cause this strange observation. Quite interesting.

Object traveling at immense speed, size and altitude of satellite, over Fairfield, CT (metro NY airspace)

Observing stars, aircraft (landing at metro NY airports - and White Plains) and tracking satellites for many, many years, this is the FIRST time I was amazed at a completely unrecognizable sighting. It was DEFINITELY NOT a falling star as it did not lose altitude but swept across the night sky with a speed I have never seen. It was the size of a satellite, to the observer of such, a came out of the south (from the direction of the NY airports), but at the height of a satellite) with great speed (also unlike tracking a satellite) headed north. I followed the sighting for a few seconds until it was no longer visible then turned quickly toward the west and saw the same thing, for perhaps two seconds. I am not sure that what I saw for a second heading west was also the same object but since I was keeping a careful eye in the sky was also able to catch that brief sighting. The entire three or four second event (including three seconds from south to north and one or two in the west)was an object very high in the sky the size of satellite. However, it was differentiated by the speed.

I am an educated woman (Smith College graduate) who studied astronomy and has visited numerous observatories. I was taught by my Smith College astronomy professor to identify satellites from the Smith observatory on top of the science building. This event was unlike anything I have ever seen.

Red glowing oval object with whitish blue halo effect Southwest of Fairfield, Freestone County observed for 20 minutes

This is the second sighting in one week here in Freestone County. Because of the October 21st sighting, we have been very alert and scan the skies nightly. On the evening of Tuesday, October 28th 2008 I went out on our back porch to give a treat to our dogs. I looked up in the South West sky and observed a large glowing orange/red object. It was not as bright as the stars and much bigger to the naked eye. It had no blinking lights like an aircraft so I called out to my boyfriend to come outside and take a look.

He came out, took one look and said to record exactly what time it was (8:20 PM), he then went inside and retrieved a rifle with a high powered scope and we began to watch this thing through the scope. We live on a ranch so we have open views and dark sky. This object "floated" or hovered for 13 minutes before descending or headed away so that we could not see it, although with our naked eyes it looked like it descended somewhere in the Jewett Mine area.

While watching it through the scope, we saw that it was emitting a faint white or bluish glow at varying times. It was very strange. We are now convinced that something is going on over the Central skies of Texas. Please, please investigate and do not let this be explained away by military testing etc...

I reported this sighting to MUFON and was contacted by an investigator. I cannot stop thinking about what we have seen the last two weeks.

Fairfield, Freestone County, Texas 3 cylinder long gun barrel shiny objects at dusk on Western horizon, there for over 20 minutes

We witnessed 3 cylinder (gun barrel shaped / very long)objects at dusk on the horizon due West of our location. We had just been in town at a business meeting, the meeting ended around 6:30 PM and we drove out to our ranch (we live 6 miles from Fairfield).

It was a beautiful Fall evening and we have a habit of hanging out on the back porch off our kitchen to watch the sunset. My boyfriend and I noticed 3 long streaks in the sky low on the horizon to our West (toward Mexia/Waco). At first we didn't think much of them as we assumed they were jet trails of jets flying in formation.

As we continued to do chores in the backyard, we both noticed that these "trails" or "streaks" did not disappear. In fact, it became obvious that they were solid in shape and very shiny (the setting sun was bouncing off them and they were highly reflective). We decided to take a few pictures of the objects but we did not get much on the digital image. At the time when I was taking the photos, my boyfriend noticed two more similar objects in the South West that looked like they were traveling South to North.

We wanted to get in the truck and get a closer look but we knew they were too far away and we would probably lose them out of sight. Other normal air traffic was visible during the sighting. We see planes, helicopters and satellites all the time and these were not anything we had ever seen before.

We told our family about this early Friday, October 24th - that very same night a news report came on from Channel 8 in Dallas/Ft. Worth about the return of the Stephenville lights in Texas. We are about 90 miles from Stephenville and felt that our sighting might be connected.

The reason I said there were 4 witnesses is because we found out that two other people here in Fairfield saw them too, we just found out about that on Sunday.

**Another person I do not know saw my report on MUFON and said they saw the exact same thing a few counties over, they wanted to contact me**** On Tuesday, October 28th we had another very strange sighting and I will report that seperately. Something is going on in Texas and it really needs to be investigated, it might be military but if so...it is technology never seen before!

Multiple sightings in Central Texas (Freestone County area)

We live on a farm/ranch in Freestone County between Fairfield & Palestine near Highway 84. We have very dark skies and are used to seeing bright stars, satellites & multiple air traffic. I am going to report the multiple sightings that we have had in the last few months. My boyfriend's family has had this land for 4 generations and he grew up here. He and other members of his family have seen strange things over the years but this year there has been lots of activity. We are only about 120 miles Southeast of Stephensville & 65 miles from Waco. There are several airbases and strip mines (lignite & coal) in this area of Texas. I mention the mines because lots of activity seems to occur near them. I am going to give a description of each sighting over the last few months. We really believe something is going on possibly military, possibly not. If it is military - it is something unbelievable and the technology is very different.

10/20/2008 - We (my boyfriend and I) had just arrived home and stepped out on the back porch of the farm to look at the beautiful sunset. We noticed 3 long pencil shaped cylinder objects due West of us toward Limestone County (Mexia/Waco) somewhere beyond highway I-45 above highway 84W. At first we thought they might be jet trails. They were suspended at a 40-45 degree angle from the ground. They did not break up like trails and we realized they were solid and very reflective. You could see the reflection of the sunset in them. I ran inside and got my digital camera and snapped a few shots. They were in perfect formation. With the naked eye, nothing showed up on the camera screen but when I downloaded onto the computer we noticed you could see 3 white orbs or ovals in the picture when amplified by 200+. The strange part about this is with a naked eye these objects looked very long and solid like pencils or telephone poles in the sky but on film they were round or oval shaped. We told some friends later in the week what we saw and they admitted that they saw them too and had commented how strange they looked. They were in their car on the way to a restaurant at I45 & 84. They also saw them due West/Northwest. I will try and include a picture with this report. The incident lasted over a 1/2 hour.

10/28/2008 - We had just gotten home and went out on the back porch to feed our 4 dogs at 8:20 PM. I observed a dull orange, red glowing sphere with a whitish glow in the center. It looked like it was hovering or floating just above the tree line in the Southwest sky somewhere between our land and Jewett (near the mine). My boyfriend ran inside and came back out with his rifle which had a high powered scope. We took turns observing the object until 8:33 PM when it either flew over the horizon or descended (we felt like it descended). The next day we saw a report on the Dallas news that the Stephensville lights had returned so I decided to send them an account of what we saw. I contacted the Stephensville paper and reported the object. They asked if they could use our description in an article so I gave them permission. The next day they published the article and there was a picture that had been submitted by an East Texas woman. Our verbal description matched the picture exactly (but we did not take any pictures that night). Others saw what we saw! 11/25/2008 - Almost the exact same sighting as mentioned previously - orange, reddish glowing sphere with white center...almost dull like a halo around it. It was in the same Southwestern area and we saw it around 9:00 PM and watched it for 15 minutes - again it looked like it descended or went over the horizon. Other air traffic could be seen and this looked nothing like the normal air traffic in the area. Since this was the second sighting of this kind we began to investigate our surrounding (helicopter landing sights etc.) but we found nothing.

12/3/2008 - Again, almost the same description as above - we documented it at 8:05 and watched it until 8:22. We could not get pictures because nothing would show up.

12/7/2008 - (This is our strangest one yet and involved three different sets of lights). This sighting started out as the one above. We had just gotten back from Dallas & Waxahachie and went out on the back porch to feed the dogs at 8:19 PM. I saw the strange orange/red object and called out to my boyfriend to come take a look. We watched it do it's normal thing (descend or go over the horizon) but this time as soon as we lost sight of it this bright white light appeared above it. This came on as if someone had turned on a lightbulb. This object began to flash bright multi colors in sequence. The colors were amazing - blue, orange, pink, green, red. It was so bright it was hard to tell what shape it was. We got the rifle scope out again and my boyfriend looked at it through the scope - he said it was hard to tell it's shape. As soon as he handed me the scope the light went off, again just like a light switch. I told him something was still there - right when I said that, 3 small piercing white strobe lights came on in a triangle formation. They kept strobing back and forth as if communicating or sequencing. A high flying jet came into the airspace where this was going on and the strobe lights began to almost cartwheel over each other off to the North at a very high rate of speed. The next thing we knew, we were just looking at the regular air traffic (jets) on their route to Dallas. This sighting really shook me up. While it was happening, my boyfriend called his mom who lives in town, she went out to see if she could see anything and she could not because of the tree cover in her neighborhood (very large Post Oaks).

I reported this sighting to MUFON ( I had reported the previous sightings to them). The MUFON investigator contacted me and said that he had received almost an exact report of our sighting from a man that was driving home from Dallas back to Waco with his teenage son (they had been at a football game).

12/11/2008 - This is our last sighting. There is a well being drilled due South of our farm and we can see the rig lighting very clearly beyond our barns. I had gone out on the back porch at 10:00 PM and saw the strange multi colored bright light about 55 degrees above left of the rig. We watched it for 40 minutes, I tried to film it but nothing appears on the video. It was not a star because we know our night sky and there has not been a star there before and there has not been one since.

Please consider investigating this area of Texas if you are already investigating the Stephensville incidents. We just want to know if it is military or not...I think NOT.

me and my friend were in his garage and my friend said "HOLY CRAP" i think im looking a UFO then i look and it has 4 white lights and 1 red blinking light that changed colors abou 6 to 7 times we called a hot line for ufos nobody picked up of course it stayed for about 10 minutes and hovered it was totally completely silent..

Bright object in sky suddenly disappears

It's around 8:45 at night, myself, my twin brother and my two other friends are going to go for a walk on the beach. It is a clear night, there is some residual sunlight from the sunset and plenty of light pollution. After a 20 minute walk, it's a little after 9 when I point out a bright light in the sky. I was pretty sure it was Venus, astronomy is a hobby of mine and I can recognize alot of objects in the sky. I said to my brother, I don't think Venus is out after sunset in the summer, what do you think? He says he doesn't believe it would be out either. We stare at it for a couple minutes more when all of a sudden, as if it were shrinking, it disappears. We both looked at eachother in disbelief, "did that just happen"? The manner in which this light disappeared was too weird, it couldn't have been a flare, it was in the sky for too long, and the light's intensity remained constant. It was straight out of a UFO tv show, this thing went from being the brightest object in the sky, to completely gone in about 2 seconds.

As for details about how the UFO looked, all I can say is that it looked like Venus, it didn't twinkle however, and it never moved.

9 People see a "red star" in the sky at midnite!! - My first sighting please contact

Hello This is the 1st time I've ever seen anything like this before.

But let me start by telling you about myself.I live in Fairfield, CA and I am 19 years old.

The way the sightning began was. I was first driving in my car going home to my apartment around 11:45pm on December 5th 2006 and I saw a red firework go off in the sky toward the Air Base(I actullay have no clue if it was an actual firework; It looked like a regular big red firework alot of red little dots in a circle shape). And then the trees blocked my veiw. I immediatly told my girlfriend. She kinda got excited and wanted to see. So I told her toward to look toward Travis(AFB). We hit a couple corners toward the house and had an open view and no fireworks... So we get into my apartment parking lot and shes still looking back for the fireworks. And I notice a red light in the sky straight infront of us while I was driving toward my parking space. My girlfriend tells me... "Do you see that?" I replyed with a confirmed face and nod. "What is that?" It looked to be a "Red Star" very bright. Like a dot or light. I hit a corner in my parking lot and parked to get out to look. There it is... a weird red star looking thing. So I call a homeboy accross town to instruct him to go outside and look toward my apartments. This is around 11:50pm He does and laughs. "What is that?" No Clue. A red light shining in the sky. Shortly after I called him the red dot started pulsing.. Slowing... But pulsing. Bright and Dim. While I was on the phone with him a white light came from the middle of the red dot and shot BRIGHT real fast and a white line traced down from the bottom. It looked like a white tracer bullet but shot out and only went a very short distance away from the bottom of the red light. I was still on the phone with my homie and he had 3 people with him that all seen it. After the white light shot down, it was once again solid red. I then noticed it was moving down slowly. I got off the phone with my friend and then my girlfriend cal! led her mother. Told her and she had 3 other people with her. We all seen it there are 9 of us in 3 different parts of town. When it dissapered it started moving to the right and then started to pulse faster but still slow.(Maybe each about 700ms") and then did the same thing the white tracer line thing did and shot down about an inch in my eyes and dimmed away with a consistant pulse. It all happend for about 10 minutes It stopped about midnight to the minute. What I think happend if it was an alien =P. Is that of course they would be smart and they wouldnt go into lightspeed parallel from us. They would go away from us... Please reply!!!1

October 14.2006 2:24 Large bluegreen fireball fell acrosss the sky in Fairfield Connecticut

I was up because I was unable to sleep, and stepped out the back door to my yard for a little night air.

I was looking at horizon level when this beautiful big(to my eyes the size of a large beach or basketball) bluegreen fireball fell diagonally across the sky. This is the second time in my life I witnessed this. The last time was around 1967 in broad daylight.

At the time I assumed it was a meteorite, and thought the same thing last night, but when I typed in bluegreen fireball on the search in my computer your site came up.

Because of the lateness of the hour I'm not aware of any other witnesses. It was very definitely a ball, but there were flashes all around it almost like a rotary blade.It was visual stunning, but frightened me because of all the stupid nuclear and terrorist talk your bombarded with these days!Afterward, I just assumed it was a meteor. Sighting of Cone/Sphere shaped Crafts at Solano County Sherrifs Dept., Fairfield, CA

At the Solano County Sheriffs department located in Fairfield, Ca, a federally funded facility, I was an inmate who experience and sighting of an UFO outside my window during the evening for several months. I brought is to the attention of the one the correctional officers and they agreed with the same sighting with no action taken. These sighting happened only during the evening hours until morning.

I saw during the evening hours several crafts that are cone/sphere shaped, each with it’s own color being, orange, red and white. They land and take off in the middle yard surround by the jail located. I saw small alien like creatures enter in the facility via ports in the walls (meaning corners of the walls) of certain jail cell where inmates were kept.

I also, experience entry into my body via moment like a pushing feeling. I felt something enter my body and my urine turned a strange green color and my legs were cramped. I still feel the cramping today.

In March 2007, I saw a beam of light leave landing site going toward space.

During my stay, I heard one of the inmates claim that they went to a planet number #32. The guards at the facility seem to change in tech and uniforms as to the actual launching of the facility itself. The entire building would shake as if it were landing and hitting the ground.

I saw that the elevator would go down stairs underground and I still was able to see the lights of the cone/sphere crafts outside my window which would lead me to believe they we went up rather than down stairs.

I showed the guard the lights outside my window and they seem to be aware of their landing. I asked a female guard if inmates here at Solano County were taken to outer spaces and they replied, “Yes”. They seem to negotiate over everything the inmates do, which did not seem like normal human behavior.

I was located in mode B which seems to have a lot of traffic from the cone/sphere like craft to land.

This is a serious sighting.

This facility is paid with tax payer dollars. I was shocked to find out this is what happens in these correctional facilities.

At around 11PM on the 1st, I was sitting in my backyard smoking a cigarette when I saw a bright red light come over my neighbors house roughly paralleling the flight path of commercial aircraft heading east from the bay area. It appeared to be travelling in a slight zig-zag pattern and then stopped and hovered, I estimate between 5-10 miles away.

Shortly thereafter, a jet aircraft appeared moving very quickly and I believed that this might be an investigating fighter because of its speed but it continued right on past the red object. It was, I should point out, flying both higher and further away than the object. Within a matter of seconds of this passing, the object descended in a straight line below the trees in the neighborhood and out of sight. I grabbed my video recorder, jumped in my car and headed in that direction but did not find this object again. I have either been an AIr Force brat or active duty myself for all of my 45 years, I believe I know an airplane or helicopter when I see one. And I have seen aircraft on fire with my own two eyes; this object was not on fire. The number of witnesses should be substantial because this siting was near a freeway (I80)which I think westbound must have been pointing almost, if not directly at the object. Highway 12 is also heavily travelled and is about 2 miles closer to the object than I was with nothing but virtually roadless/lightless swamp to its west. This thing was bright; it had to have been noticed.

4 lights racing across the sky, then stop for a split second, one semicircles the others then all take a 90 degree turn and race away.

On a perfectly clear starry night we observed 4 objects streaking across the sky from the southwest to the northeast. As they approached, all in the formation changed speed and position with the trailing object second from the right overtaking the other 3. As this happened, all four came to a stop, the one in the lead circled back around, making a right hand turn. This stop and turn took less than a half second. All 4 objects then streaked away to the north/northwest at an incredible rate of speed. The entire event lasted less than 4 seconds, all four objects crossed the entire visible sky in this time. The altitude of these objects looked to be at least at the extreme limits of the atmosphere.

To give a relation of the amount of time involved, I saw the objects racing across the sky and told my brother to "Look at that!" and before I could say "meteor" the objects stopped, one in the lead made a semi circle right hand turn to line itself back in the formation and the other 3 made a 90 degree left turn and raced out of sight. Each object was reddish orange in color and roughly the size of a bright star in the sky. None left a trail, they resembled a satelite as it tracks across the sky, but the speed of them along with stopping, circling and changing directions in split seconds leaves this out as anything manmade.

A few minutes later, a jet airplane took a similar route but took approximately 7 minutes to cover a lesser portion of the sky, I mention this as a speed comparison only. The only other object I've ever seen with comparable speed were shooting stars. None of these stop or change directions though. All the shooting stars I've ever witnessed also left a trail. These objects left nothing in their wake, no trail no sound. Just incredible raw speed and manuverabilty.

The 4 objects were not trailing one another but were in a formation, roughly equal distances apart and varied speed that changed their position as to which was leading. When 3 came to a stop, it was only long enough for the one that overran the formation to circle back, the 3 that momentairily stopped immediatley resumed the speed from before and raced out of site.

Traveling east to west, egg shape object with brown flood lights beginning to flash and then spark.

On Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 22:08, I, along with two others, saw what I thought was an airplane but it had no flashing lights as well as no sound. Instead of flashing lights, there was what appeared to be long, stringy, sparks dripping from underneath the object. The object was about half the size of a full moon. It also had what appeared to be brown flood lights all around and shining forward. It appeared to be moving slower than an airplane and it was visible for about two minutes. As it moved towards the west, the lights started flashing and they went out one by one until it was totally dark. The sparks stopped before the lights started flashing. After the lights went out, there was a dim egg shaped glow that still appeared until the object disappeared in the night sky traveling east to west.

bright circualr object appeared to rotate horizontally

time of sighting is an estimate. I saw a roundish object in the sky as I was entering a grocery store on Black Rock Turnpike. I stopped breifly to look at it longer. It looked as if it was rotating. it was either bright white or of reflective material. I would also estimate it's size to be about the same as a small plane. OTHER INFO: I'm pretty sure that this was the same object I had seen in this sky before. I was eating at a fast food place on the same street about a block away. I was able to monitor the object with my naked eyes for the duration of it's visibility. also in that sighting, it traveled slowly, stopped, changed direction then dissapeared. I am unable to tell you what day it was but it may have been early spring 2005 or 2004. I remember it was cold out.

About me. I tend to be very observant. I spotted a cockrach at 20 feet while driving through D.C. if that makes sense to you. I always keep an eye open for something out of the ordinary. I am also a skeptic and look for possible explanations. this may have been a silver mylar party balloon and it was twirling up in the sky. but I think it was too big to be that. party ballons are 18" and this was much larger.

I can't quite remember if it had a haze around it. I was hoping someone else spotted this thing, it was a busy afternoon.

My wife and I were driving westbound on I-80 between Vacaville and Fairfield California Halloween night. My wife was driving, I was sitting in the back seat driver side of the car next to my infant son's car seat.

I noticed 2 flashing white lights approaching us in the sky from the west. We are next to a military base and see plane's lights in the sky all the time.

I'm an aircraft enthusiast and can make out aircraft by their lights at night. At first I thought these were wingtip lights of an approaching plane, but these lights were flashing much faster than an aircraft's lights (almost like strobe lights) and not in the same pattern. I also caught glimpse of a red light between the two white lights, but it was hard to make out with the rapid strobing.

My wife, who is not an enthusiast, even recognized it as something strange and said,"What is that?" The two lights approached the highway and then came to a hover, not directly over it, but near it. It was at an altitude of perhaps 500-750 feet. I was still trying to figure out what it was, and said I thought it might be a helicopter, but I had seen helicopters at night, also, and this was not one.

We were still heading toward the craft and as we passed to the side and under it, another light came into view and it was recognizable as a triangular shape craft with a white light at each point. The red light I had mentioned earlier was not at the center of the points, it was just blackness in the middle, so it must have been on the one side.

As we passed by it, I got a sort of panoramic view of the light formation and could approximate it's size to be that of slightly larger than the rotor radius of a newscopter type helicopter.

I wish we had stopped, but we didn't as the highway was busy, and it went out of view behind us. With the amount of traffic on the road, there should be atleast a few hundred more witnesses to this.

Moving "star" turned bright bright blue and traveled at a fast pace.

The object looked like a star but was moving across the sky at a semi-fast pace. Once it reached the constellation Lynx, the moving "star" started to turn bright, bright blue.

Slowly it faded back to original color, through binoculars it just look like a moving star. It seemed to be going farther up because it faded and went to far for the eyes to see.

Two women witnessed the UFO. It didn't look like a comet, the women star-gaze everynight.

An extremely bright lighted object flew only 200 feet over our vechile. The object had one main large bright light and a blinking serparate light on it. After flying overhead it met up with 2 other crafts then disappeared. The two objects met up and one speed towards our car and began following it paralell for about 10 minutes before it flew north. The object had an irregular flying pattern and appeared to be flying in the distance only a few feet above the trees. At one point I could make out a saucer like shape to the craft. This all took place within a few miles of the alleged location of the underground pentagon in fairfield pennsylvania.

My family was driving west on HI 80 from Fairfield, CA (heading for Vallejo, CA) when I looked up towards the sun which was partially covered by a long, narrow cloud (sited by Highway 29 Napa Junction). In this cloud, I saw a rectangular object, white in color, which looked as though it had three windows. Its form was very pronounced. I told the rest of the family to look towards the sun, at the cloud and asked what they saw. They said it looked like a building with three or possibly four windows. We took the Redtop exit to purchase gas and upon entering HI 80 again,did not see the object in the sky. The object did not move for a 3 to 4 minute period, possibly longer since the object was most likely in place before I spotted it and may have been stationery during our gas-up at the station.

Slow moving object in night sky abruptly disappears

As I was leaving work on the evening of March 22, 2004 at 10:53 PM, I noticed a very slow moving light in the distance, aprroximately 4 nautical miles or so in a cloudless sky. I was facing in a NNE direction and the object was moving in a SW direction. At first I took the object to be a distant airplane, as we live approximately 94 nautical miles from BWI, DCA and IAD and am quite familiar with how approaching or cruising airplnes appear in the night sky. There was also air traffic in the vacinity that evening, so it was easy to make a quick comparison. But as this object moved and appeared to get closer I could see no individual strobe or marker lights. The object also seemd to be lower than a typical cruising or approaching airplane would be for our region. Due to the distance of the object I could not confirm any presence or lack of any sound. It was at this point that the object, which had a steady luminosity, abruptly and un-nervingly dissapeared. I continued to scan the area of the night sky for its reappearance, but to no avail. It is possible that it may have been a small airplane departing from Doersom Airport, outside of Gettysburg. But wouldn't small aircraft still be required to have strobe and marker lights? I would like to know if I have mis-identified a known object, please advise.

Low-altitude triangle with triangular shaped pinkish-white lights at angles.

REPORTED TO NUFORC 11/20/2003 2:56:31 PM 14:56. Investigated by Iowa MUFON, Glen Singley. On November 19, 2003, at 12:30 a.m., witnesses had purposely gone out to watch for meteors, and saw a silent triangle fly overhead so that they could view its underside, and watch it move from north to south so slowly that it took 3-4 minutes for it to disappear from view. Altitude estimate is 400-500 feet. [NOTE: Witnesses specify TRIANGULAR SHAPED PINKISH-WHITE GLOWING LIGHTS at each angle of the triangle. It should be noted that Iowa MUFON has investigated another case recently where triangular-shaped lights were also noted, although the lights were not at the apices of the triangle, but rather along the sides of the triangle.] At first, witnesses thought they were seeing 3 objects instead of just one, but when the object passed in front of Orion's Belt, they saw that it obscured some stars in the cluster, and that it was one object.

One object observed. Configuration appeared to be that of two diamond shapes connected, w/ 4 perimeter lights, one of which was strobing. Object briefly silhouetted by half-moon. Witness could not estimate speed. Noise heard similar to that of a helicopter but a substantially reduced intensity. There is a nearby Air Force base but witness, who is familiar w/ the aircraft that fly out of the base, is adamant that this was not shaped as any familiar craft. There was no imagery obtained.

This Fairfield report of group of 5-6 lights is one of 3 reports at same time on same night in Iowa

VERY IMPORTANT - THIS IS ONE OF 3 SIGHTINGS ON THE SAME NIGHT AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME (7:30 p.m. in SE Iowa, and somewhere between 7:30 - 8:00 p.m. in Des Moines Metro area)in Iowa, witnessed by individuals in the 3 locations who are not acquainted with one another. FIRST sighting - reported directly to MUFON - was in SE Iowa at a farm fishpong near the tiny town of Belknap, in the Unionville area. SECOND sighting (reported to NUFORC as follows: 10/8/2003 12:50/21 AM 00:50) was this Fairfield sighting, some 30 miles away from the Belknap/Unionville area. THIRD sighting (reported to NUFORC as follows: 10/17/2003 10:36:26 PM 22:36) was in Urbandale (Des Moines Metro area). ALL WITNESSES report a GROUPING OF SEVERAL LIGHTS (at least 5 or 6), with Belknap and Fairfield reporting the silent lights at somewhere between 10,000 to perhaps 25,000 feet altitude, moving fast: Fairfield, with considerable surrounding vegetation, had sighting duration of about 25 seconds; Belknap (2 men in open country at a fishpond)sighting duration was perhaps one minute; Urbandale reported lights moving very very slowly at estimated altitude of 2,000 feet, with total sighting duration of somewhere around 5-6 minutes, until surrounding vegetation obscured the view of the 2 witnesses. Investigators assess all these witnesses as thoughtful,observant persons trying to relate as accurately as possible what they perceived. Total of 5 witnesses among the 3 sightings, this present Fairfield sighting having only 1 witness.

Just after nightfall I observed a cluster of white blinking lights high overhead, moving steadily in a westerly direction.

I was walking home, headed west. It was nearly dark and the full moon was behind me. I looked up, noticing a bright star and wondered if it were Mars. Then I saw a white blinking light high overhead which I assumed was a plane, traveling northward. Then another blinking light caught my eye, quite a bit lower than the first. Almost immediately I saw that this second light was accompanied by 5 or 6 more. They were all blinking, moving fairly quickly off to the west. They resembled a group of fireflies, yet their movements and the blinking seemed co-ordinated, not random, and they appeared to remain equidistant from one another. Before I could discern a pattern or definite shape to the formation, it disappeared behind the trees on the horizon. I heard no sound. I've watched meteor showers before, and as a child once saw a spectacular auroral display, but have never experienced a UFO sighting. Whatever this was, it was a lovely sight...

Single bright light that moved like no airplane i have ever seen before

i happened to look outside my window into the sky and noticed a bright "star" and i thought it move. so i got up and moved closer to the window and watched this "star" for 2 minutes and continual;ly saw this "star" move in very odd ways. i then went and got my mother and my partner tio see if they could see this start moving as well. We watched it for a minute and they could see the same thing that i was....this object was moving. My sister and her friend then joined in watching this object. This object moved up and down, from left to right & right to left and in zigzagging moves. I have seen satellites and planets in the night sky before and I know what they look like. This "star" is not either of those. It is now 131 am and i have been watching this object since 1220am. This "star" is still moving same patterns.

The perceived motion of the bright object against a dark background is often reported by witnesses, and it is the result of movement of the eye, not the object being observed. My friend and I were coming back from Stop and Shop and we sat down on a bench for a drink and Salt and Vinager chips. Then I just leaned my head backwards and I saw this light that went west, then came out of east. Then we saw 3 more following each other going south. But then the one that scared us, was one that west zig-zagging away in the sky.

Big, round, and glowing white, flipped from one side to the other seeing the black center, and watching it drop gold particules.

First it is important to mention my friend her husband and their 2 kids had been seeing this same craft, and others for a while, I just never thought it was true, and I thought how could good parents bring their kids into this strange stuff.

It happened like this for me,

I was taking that very friend home from work at about 10pm we picked up 1 of her kids from the sitters house, we pulled up in her drive way, and she was standing out side the drivers door talking to me, then she pointed across the way and said look there's one.

I thought it looked like an airplane with two small lights coming near, I thought she just wanted me to sit with her, and talk I said it's an airplane, and I need to get home it was very cold, and my heater in the car had not worked for at least 2 years no matter how much money we put into the car it just would not work, even letting it ilde for an hour never helped the heater.

I decided to please her and get out to at least look. I left the car to idle, I walked about 8 steps and I saw the lights get closer still thinking it was an airplane (mind you I lived just out the gates of NAS pensacola for 3 years, I watched many night flights of many planes including a stealth in hover, so I feel that I can not be fooled by this.)

It came just a block away from where I was standing, It became huge it looked like the shape of the sun from a distance it was completely round, and was extremely bright like the sun with a white glow, then it made a swift turn, one side to the other like opening up. You could still see the size, I saw the center up and down was black and it still glowed on the right and left side. It then began to drop stuff from the bottom (although there was a black space between the circle and the stuff coming out, glowing like gold particules.

I was so intent on seeing the stuff falling, and the fact that it was right above the Fairfield school district concerned me. What was it dropping? I thought, then in a matter of seconds it stopped dropping the stuff, I looked up a little, and it was GONE.

I returned to my car in what seemd like 3 to 5 mins. and the heater in the car was working great it worked for 2 more days and stopped. After this I litterally sat on my roof looking for these things, and from a distance I did see them again twice.

We saw a silver, shiny object shooting through the sky on a Summer afternoon.

My friend and I were down at the playground shooting the breeze then when I saw a shiny, silver object going through the sky. It couldn't of been an airplane, because it was too far away and it was going too fast. My friend and I were terrified by the experience, and we still are to date. It was really light out. Most of my friend don't believe us, but even though we are 13 now, it still haunts us to speak of it.

Thought at first it was a falling star ???????????????????

Coming back from a walk with my dog, in front of my house. I thought I saw a falling star!! The next thing I know, this cube ( about 7 inch square)with a comet like tail aprox. 2 feet long, stopped aprox. 15 feet high, in front of me. the cube was bright white but didn't glow.There was no noise,just silence.That night there was a quarter moon and the stars were out. and than it just took off, south.It took off so fast It was mind boggling...It streaked away from me and disapeared. I have been out every night looking and have never seen it again. I have been out walking for 20 years in the same neighborhood and never saw anything like this before.

A bright red beam of light caught my eye and disappeared quickly as I turned to watch it.

I was sleeping in my van 5 miles southeast of Fairfield, Iowa the first Saturday of October, 2000. IN the middle of the night, I awoke with the need to relieve myself and exited the van through the side sliding door. I was standing a few steps from the vehicle facing the rear and looking at the stars in a cloudless sky when I thought I detected a light moving to the right of the area at which I was looking. But when i turneed my attention there, I saw nothing. I turned to get back into the van when a brilliant, red beam flicked across the corner of my left eye into the front door. I turned around to see the beam disintegrating, but intact enought to trace it to its source-a light in the same placae I had seen movement before. Immediately upon the seeing the light, it quickly moved a short distance to the left horizontally and blinked out. I was struck by the brilliance and richness of the beam as there was something about its aualities that rendered a warm, pleasant feeling deep within. Unlike my first experience 34 years earlier, it took me a while to 'digest' the event before I could return to sleep.

While outside walking the dog, I noticed a black "ball" going very quiclky through the twilight sky ... This object was perfectly round unlike a ball, and was black .. it made no sound nor had any lights illuminating it ... At first i thought it was a hot air balloon, but realized a balloon could not possibly go as fast as this object did .. I called my Mom and she also witnessed it, we watched in awe, till it disappeared behind the neighbors trees .. We then went into the street to look for it, but it was gone ... Entire event was less than 2 minutes
