Large orb with emitting light

We were sitting outside enjoying the night air. At 8:27pm, an object appeared just overhead from behind us (from the north). It was a very large orb with a haze of light emitting from it and 2 beams forming an arch shape directly in front of it. It was moving slowly and the beams in front slowly moved farther in front of it as the entire thing moved forward. It made no sound. It suddenly disappeared without warning.

I note the exact time as I glanced at my phone.

Very slow hovering object moving in north direction with red light visible on left side

Object remained at a fixed elevation and moves very slow in a northerly direction. I thought it was a dirigible but was very shallow from bottom to top and had no pilot station below.

According to the Goodyear Blimp's official schedule, it was covering the PGA Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego on January 24-25, 2025. Given that Carlsbad is approximately 30 miles north of Torrey Pines, it's plausible that the blimp was visible offshore near Carlsbad around 5:15 PM on January 25, 2025.

1 bright oval shaped object clear blue skies

On the morning of July 28th 2023, I was at my work(construction) and knoticed a bright starlike object in the clear blue sky. I knew it couldn't have been a plane it was much to big and was self illuminating est 10 thousand ft. I pulled out my phone immediately zoomed in about 40x and snapped 1 photo. I was stunned upon further review if the photo there was an entire fleet following the object. The fleet was invisible to my eye my phone somehow picked them up. I have an android s21 ultra with 100x zoom. I'll let the picture speak for itself it's unbelievable. If that's not enough on aug 16 2023 in knowticed (clear blue skies) a set of contrails that looked to close to be normal. I snapped a picture and again was shocked what seen what eyes couldn't. Look at the objects on the far left of the photos those are ones I couldn't see.

Completley out of this world

We went out to star gaze like we usually do at this same spot then we look up and looks like a star is flashing and traveling insanely fast across the sky it would shut off for 3 seconds then be ina different spot blink three times shut off reappear and blink in another location then it ended up infromt of some storm clouds in the distance it then split up and in two sperate locations lit up bright orange/red then multiples of the same colors started moving and shifting across the sky in 2 different locations continued for a minute then they all join back together and let off such a bright and enormous amount of light. So bright it lit up all the clouds in the sky orange then dissapeared then they kept appearing super bright and disappearing something ive never seen in my life I had my 5 year old daughter and wife with me and we all saw it get back to town and the local Facebook page is blowing up about it I believe we were the closest one to it also got sounded like radio freceny in the air and electricity was running thru our bodies we all get scared hop back into the car heading back into town to Carlsbad and I look left out the driver window and the same star we seen is FOLLOWING US ive never experienced anything so frightening in my entire life out of this world experience( coyotes and our dog had with us were all in the area freaking out we could hear animals all around us howling and everything)

Two unidentified flying objects over Carlsbad on Friday, August 6, 2021

On Friday, August 6, 2021 I saw an unidentified flying object. I would say the time was 10:48 a.m. I was standing on the tennis courts at La Costa resort in Carlsbad, CA. When I looked up at the sky (facing east) I was something in the sky. At first, I thought it was a balloon high up, but then thought maybe it was a blimp. It was too high to be a balloon, but changing shapes, so too inconsistent to be a balloon. I pointed it out to my tennis partner. After we watched it for several seconds, we pointed it out to the other 2 women on the court. We then told the other 4 women next to us about it. The 8 of us watched it for 2-3 minutes. At one point there was a 2nd object in the sky close by. It was changing shape, like a cloud of smoke. One lady said it was "like a jelly fish" which I thought was a good analogy. After 2-3 minutes, they both disappeared into the clouds to the northwest, over the water.

We were playing tennis at the Omni La Costa resort. 8 women. It was very overcast. Foggy. All of a sudden a pulsating shape appeared out of the white fog. It was grey and seemed to be like a large jellyfish. Changing shape from circular to oval. It moved slowly in the sky from south to north. Then… we saw another one. Much smaller this time but right near the other one. Same grey color.

I called my husband who lived nearby but he saw nothing.

All 8 of us stopped playing. We got a couple photographs and a video.

I was out with a group of friends during the day in Carlsbad, CA. It’s hard to describe on paper, I was siting down at a restaurant and I saw this lady walking down an alley way and she had extremely gorgeous hair that caught my attention and my friends attention. How ever she also looked disheveled and had a interesting gate. When I looked at her face it was not human. She had snake looking eyes and a snake looking nose with a very wide mouth like a reptile. I elbowed my friend and asked if he saw that and he said I saw her hair. When I turned my head to look at her again she was staring right at me in a crowd of people like it knew I saw what it really was. It sounds crazy. But it happened in broad daylight and I’m still shooken to my core from this experience. Also it was like time slowed around me.

Un-lit, silent V shaped object seen and illuminated from the ground

At 8:53 PM, on Thursday night, I was working gate security at a location in Carlsbad, CA. I was observing some clouds moving in from the coast, to the west of my location. I then noticed a V shaped object, or objects, which at first I thought might be a flock of birds, due to being un-lit, silent and right at the edge of visual perception.

The object was to my west at about 30 degrees elevation. I grabbed a flashlight I carry and shined it at the object. This flashlight is special new type that uses a laser to excite the phosphor, and produces an extremely narrow, laser like white beam, that goes for over a mile. When the beam hit the craft on the right side “wing”, I could then tell it was one solid, grey colored, un-lit object. The vehicle did not respond to the light and was gone a second or two later. The object was pointed toward the I-5 freeway, and the ocean, when I lost site of it.

I had seen another triangular shaped object fly over us, much lower and closer, on 10-31. I'm starting to think this area is some type of "Hot spot" for unknown reasons. This area is a busy aircraft corridor and within about a mile of an airport. The object would be right in the departure path.

We are taking additional measures such as the use of recorded low light and thermal cameras which cover this area of the sky above our buildings.

I was in bed asleep, when a bright red light illuminated our bedroom. I woke up and laid still staring at the red orb the size of a soccer ball just outside of my bedroom sliding doors.

I have long dark curtains but I could see the round brightly glowing red orb through the curtains. It stayed still for a time, there appeared to be movement inside the orb, like it was glowing, almost like a fire.

I closed my eyes for a moment to be sure I was not seeing things. When I opened them, the orb had moved to the other side of my sliding door. It stayed there for a few minutes, then disappeared suddenly.

I was afraid to get out of bed or try to pull my curtains open. My husband was asleep and I did not want to disturb him as he sometimes does not sleep well.

I sleep with a fan on at night, so I am not sure if the red orb emitted any noise. It may have been drowned out by my box fan noise.

I had seen a UFO years ago in the daytime in GA while I was driving with my children in my van, so when I saw this red orb I felt it was not something man made.

I felt as though it was spying on us through the window, so I felt it was best if I laid still and did not move until it left.

Un-lit, fast moving, low altitude triangular craft seen visually and with thermal imaging camera.

I am a security guard, at a fairly high security location. While looking toward the sky for an owl we heard screeching, I saw a dark triangle shaped craft pass over at high speed and at low altitude. Object was very hard to see, with 3 extremely dim large lights, or possibly it was just illuminated by ground lights in the three circular areas beneath it.

The object was only visible to the naked eye for seconds. I switched to a hand held thermal night vision camera and could see the object had heat and some thickness to it. The object appeared about as big as a small plane at several hundred feet. The object was moving faster than other aircraft and made no sound. It vanished from view with the camera in less than 10 seconds.

Object was heading South/Southeast, roughly toward an airport only a mile or two away. Since the tower is open until 10 PM, I would think they would have seen it on radar, unless it was stealthy or slightly too low.

I yelled to a colleague to step over and look up, but it had vanished visually before he could see it. Within 10 minutes of the sighting, a large military helicopter did a low flyover of the airport and flew through the area where the craft was last sighted. This happens occasionally, so it is unknown if related.

Shiny Drone like formation object seen by 1

UFO sighting on 10/24/2019 in Carlsbad CA around 11:25am I saw a shiny flying object over North sky at the intersection of Alicante road and Alga road in Carlsbad CA today.

I was driving my husband to his appointment around 11:25 am today. As I was stopping at the traffic light on Alicante Road facing North, I saw a very unusual looking object in the North sky, in the direction right behind the traffic light. The object looked like a formation of four or five shiny light, almost like a gigantic drone look. I saw it flying or hovering in the direction of North sky for a couple of second. Then it disappeared for a few second. Then it re appeared for another couple of second. Then disappeared once again. I had to drive away after the signal turned green, so I don't know if it kept flying over the sky after this.

I asked my husband to take a picture of it with his phone while this happened. But he was not looking at the same direction as I was, so he was not able to take a picture. He did not see it.

I don't think it was a drone because of the size and very random place and time. If it was a drone flying near the traffic light, I should be able to see as a drone. This was flying far and high. It was not a regular airplane nor helicopter I see everyday. I’ve never seen something like this.

I was driving home toward the East in Carlsbad, NM, and noticed what I thought was an aircraft, the light was bright white like LED lights and being an aviation mechanic and pilot I was intrigued. What would be flying with such lighting? I pulled off the road and observed for about five minutes and the location did not change.

I wanted to get home and get my camera gear to take pictures and when I did with my 50mm Sigma Lens I observed an inverted teardrop shape with linear shadows from the center of the narrow end forming a ‘Y’ shape on the wide end.

The light changed with the sunset and was considerably higher than the local terrain. I would like to do an azimuth study to find the approximate altitude with the time 7:00pm from Carlsbad NM and the pictures I took that were reddening like the sunset.

Standing outside looking up at the stars 3 elongated triangles with tan undersides flying slowly in formation zero noise 4-500 ft up.

I was not drinking or smoking and I do not believe in aliens or religion or psychics or ghosts of any kind. I drew a drawing of the shapes/formation of what I saw and told my wife that night and my kids the next day. I haven’t told anyone else and never reported it because I dont care. I did see 3 large tan bottomed triangle vehicles move slowly over my house and into the hills beyond the valley. They were going over me and away from me and made zero noise. It was 2:45 am so there was no street noise and it was dead silent. The only reason I saw them was I was looking for a shooting star so my gaze was up when they came over my house approximately 500–800 feet up. The street lights were still on which is how I could see the tan smooth underside. If it was military, why wouldn’t they fly over camp Pendleton in order to not be seen? Again, I don’t believe in aliens but I also know what planes sound like and even what little drone buzzing sounds like and these were huge and low and made no sound. I don’t believe we have that advanced aircraft in our military. Zero sound. Three slow flying (approx 40-50 mph) almost touching tip to wing triangles making a larger triangle formation. No lights. No emissions. Watched them for about 20 seconds.

Figured with all the UFO press in the news lately I’d tell someone what I saw that night.

Formations of lights over the ocean in Carlsbad (San Diego county)

Several coworkers and I saw numerous lights out over the ocean. The lights were disappearing and reappearing, and changing formations. The lights were slightly orange/yellow color. The lights looked like they could be Chinese lanterns, but they were first lighting up high in the sky. They also looked like flares, however they seemed to be maintaining altitude and even climbing slightly. Also, there was barely any lateral movement, even though a windstorm was occurring. Many people should have witnessed this, due to the length of time it occured and position off the coast of a busy area. We witnessed several pedestrians watching the lights from an overlook area just down the street.

Saturday, January 13, 2018, I was testing out my new binoculars 15 x 70 Giant Astronomy type and I was using Vivitar Red # 25 lens filters for high contrast viewing clouds etc. While I was scanning some edges of a few clouds and some contrails looking towards the west over the ocean around 2:30 pm I noticed one very outstanding whitish looking object, between egg and football shaped but sometimes looking more round and other times having more of a top shape. I had to assume that possibly the changing viewing angle had something to do with shape change although at times the object(s) seemed to either be vibrating or rotating. That object suddenly appeared and was very slowly moving towards the ocean and back nearly directly overhead just above where I live. As I continued watching I noticed another object moving very slowly, coming directly out of the setting sun direction and moving very slowly in direct horizontal line towards the first object in what looke! d like a collision course. The first object seemed to stop and just hover while the other approaching object drew closer. As the two got very close the second flew past the first above it then as they got further away from each other they began to move in tandem, then going from perpendicular to a horizontal position and moved from north-west to south-east in tandem then they seemed to break off formation and slowly spread one to the west while the other seemed to more or less hold its position at about a 50-80 degree angle to my viewing position. These objects went from a white color to sometimes a shimmering metallic or reflective mylar look but it wasn't solid looking when it began shimmering it seemed to flash as if it had multiple surfaces.

As I continued to view the two objects I watched a third that seemed to drop down from above my focus to an altitude similar to the other 2 objects and north of them again the three maneuvered back into a horizontal line with quite a bit of distance between each other. After that maneuver, they then b roke the line and moved closer to form a triangular formation and slowly moved out towards the ocean and then back towards my viewing position. After watching these slow manuvers for some time I noticed a 4th and 5th object materialiing or moving from very high in the sky down towards the other objects and as these other two became about the same size as the others they all formed another horizontal line from north to south, evenly spaced, and kept that formation for a short while then the orginal two pretty much stayed at the same altitude and eventually moved appart and one went west into the sun set and flew into a contrail that was left by a passing aircraft while the other stayed in my viewing location at anywhere from 50 to 80 degrees angle to my location. The other additional 3 slowly moved west outside of my location viewing as roof lines and trees blocked me from following them and by this time my arms were getting tired of holding binoculars plus it was getting darker and the red filters were losing affect and just darkening my vision. Also when I tried viewing without the red filters or with just my naked eyes but without the filters, the objects weren't visible to me. I will check again on Sunday around the same time and see if my elusive objects return to the area.

I live on the beach in Carlsbad CA, and have 180 degrees of unabstructed sky over the pacific ocean. I have in the last month purchased two pairs of powerful binoculars, thinking of even getting more powerful one. Also have a Canon 80d which has a telescopic type lens, which most of the pics are from. The pics from Nov 13th when reviewing my pics, I have still not looked at the rest of November, as I was amazed at what I already caught. I have seen the same craft I have pictured on Nov 13th I saw during the day and captured a pic of just before it vanished. I could not see the craft with my eyes, only with my binoculars but took the picture in the same direction as I viewed it and caught it.

Large bright long light sitting on Pacific Ocean's horizon off coast of Carlsbad, southern California.

6:30am Tuesday, May 24th, 2016...

Our backyard looks west towards the Pacific Ocean where we can see San Clemente Island, and just north of that is Catalina Island. We noticed this very bright long light sitting on the ocean horizon.

At first thought it was the Sun's reflection, but that would be impossible for the Sun's location at that time. Then thought it may have been a cruise ship, but have never seen one out there before, plus on closer look, through binoculars, we couldn't see any body of structure, just either one long bright light, or big lights close together looking as one. The lights were stationary. No movement, no flashing, no noise. nothing. Just stationary, perched on the water's horizon.

My wife and I watched it for about 5 mins, then went inside. About 5 mins later I went to check on it and it had completely gone...

I have a photo on my cell phone.

First appeared orange molten metal streaking high speed leaving trail of molten material. As craft slowed to almost hover molten material was dripping of the bottom of cicular craft. Visibility was clear not a cloud in the sky until a greenish blue beam ectended from rear of craft pointed in front og craft causing vector change of direction and altitude. The molten orange faded away. And a whites light coned out from where the green blue ray was emited and suddenly a vapoe appeated formed a cloud and the ship disappeared leaveing a contrail of greenish blue trail behind for 2 or 3 seconds. Sphere lingering turning into triangle staying around for hours

We noticed a spree type object flashing all different colors, green, yellow blue, orange and red and below a smaller object shooting around we took binocular and everyone agreed it took the shape of a triangle then all the binoculars stopped working we couldn't see out of them at all we had 3 sets of binoculars so this was very strange. the object moved up and down and side to side and stayed all night then it kept rising until we could no longer see it this went out n for hours.

It was quite a ways off and very dark. As soon as it turned to reveal the other arm it virtually disappeared.

I drive at night for a living and I am very familiar with things in the night sky. I've never seen anything like this and wish it would have lasted a lot longer than just a few seconds.

"Fuzzy" star grows larger and fainter until finally vanishing.

I was working the gate at a fairly high Security facility and looked up at the bright stars that night. Saw one star straight up, at the bright end of the scale that appeared fuzzy. As I watched it, I saw that it was getting bigger, like it was coming toward me, but getting fainter at the same time.

I alerted the other guard who came over and saw the object, which now appeared as a fading grey circular object that continued to grow in size. I looked at the object through a handheld thermal imaging camera but could not see it (Likely due to high altitude). We watched the object until it was probably the size of a dime at arm’s length. By this time, it had moved slightly horizontally (As if drifting), but was still perfectly round.

I alerted our Supervisor, who was now wondering what we were looking at, but the object had become too dim for him to see. The sighting lasted 2 minutes.

A red ball of fire flew directly over my car along the coast, where aircraft arn't permitted to fly at a speed of appx. 900 mph

I was driving southbound on Highway 101 in Carlsbad, CA. at approximately 9:25 pm, the air was clear and I can see the lights off int the distance of Point Loma near San Diego clearly. A red glowing object flew directly over my car. I thought that it was a meteorite because of the brightness and the way that it seemed to blur as it moved across the sky flying directly southbound along highway 101. I was driving at a speed of 50 miles per hour and I assumed that it would burn out seconds after I saw it, but it did not, it continued on, in a straight trajectory, not losing any altitude.

The next thought that I had was that it was going as fast as a missile and, living in Oceanside, Ca near Camp Pendleton, it may have come from there. My confusion turned to concern, knowing that it had no other flashing lights like the jets that land at Carlsbad Airport or the commercial jets that fly southbound along the coast over the ocean. The only other aircrafts that fly along the coast above the land are the police helicopters that fly over head at times, but mostly over the water.

I continued following it down the coast, rarely taking my eyes off of it so as to keep my car on the road. The light was very bright at first, like a meteorite, bigger that Venus when you can see it on a clear night and it’s closest to the earth.

I had kept my eyes on it for about 2 minutes when I saw that it had seemed to be flying over the Sea World tower, approximately 30 miles away. I had reached Leucadia, Ca, and couldn’t see past the cliffs at this point, but at my last view it had traveled far enough so the light was just a speck in the distance.

In my approximations, the light was about 1000 feet from the ground and traveling at a speed faster than the F15s from Miramar Air Force Base. 30 miles in 2 minutes would equal about 900 miles per hour.

I was driving home from work and in the passenger seat of my car going south on I-5 I was leaning back looking out the sun roof because something told be to look up and I saw a craft directly over my car not even as high as the overpass this was at 10:30 at night between Carlsbad Village Drive and Palomar Airport road it was heading North over the top of my vehicle it had 5 lights and was gun metal black no shine and no noise it was right in above me for 5 seconds I have always believed but now I know for sure! by the time I turned around to look out the window it was gone.

Two bright, orange, disc-like UFO's over the Carlsbad/Oceanside/San Marcos area

I saw two disc-like, bright, orange UFO's hovering to my north as I drove northbound on interstate 5 freeway while I was around Carlsbad and Encinitas. They were quite a bit north in the distance, but seemed bright and too large. They were not flashing the usual red lights as helicopters would, and their flight patterns seemed erratic.

My sister saw one of them as well while driving in San Marcos, which is not too far from Carlsbad and Oceanside, at around the same time. Sometimes, one would disappear, then reappear.

I have seen one before just like these a few months ago, in the same area. It was hovering over the freeway. It appeared bright orange from a distance, but as I drove nearer, it started changing colors from orange, to dark blue, to green, to red. It looked like a sophisticated LED lighting system that completely covered the surface of the craft. The color change would start at one point, then spread over the craft with the new color. It felt as if it was putting a light-show for me. I looked at other cars on the freeway in disbelief, but no other drivers were paying attention.

I was looking out of my office window and watched a plane taking off from Palomar Airport, about 5 miles away.

In that plane's line of trajectory, I observed an object that appeared to fly directly into the path of that plane, but make a sudden 180 degree change in direction before impact.

As I watched, it disappeared in the blink of an eye.

The object was silver in color and larger than the plane in my field of view.

It appeared to turn, hover, then disappear.

Two orbs hovering over military base for an hour or more.

I was leaving my moms house in Encinitas and saw 1 just hovering and I thought it was just a plane coming in to Palomar Airport.

Then as I was driving I noticed that it wasn't moving.

As I got closer to my home, it was still in the same position, which to me looked like it was about 500 ft high and over the beach in front of Camp Pendleton Marine Base and when I got home I began to film with my cellphone.

About 5 minutes into filming, it started to pulsate or blink very faintly and after a few seconds another orb showed up. They were both hovering there for awhile and then the first one faded away.

After a couple minutes the second began to blink and the first one just appeared in its original position. They repeated this a few times and after 17 minutes of filming they both slowly faded away.

From the time I left my moms to the time they left was about an hour. But they could have been doing that for hours because one of them was there when I looked in the sky while getting into my car at my moms.

Observed two reddish orange objects moving from west to east above Carlsbad New Mexico about four or five minutes apart. Both objects appeared very similar, appeared to follow the same trajectory, and both appeared to disappear from sight at similar locations despite being five minutes apart. I was able to view both crafts with binoculars and take a short low-quality video of the second via an iPhone five. I did not appear to be a plane or any aircraft I am familiar with nor did they appear to be a meteorite fireball. The size of the objects would be similar to a low-flying aircraft up to 8 miles away. Although the light from the objects was not flashing, the appearance did not seem steady, and towards the end of both observations, either travel too far for perception or almost appeared to burnout.

I was driving south on the 5 Freeway this evening. I was passing Canon Road in Carlsbad, San Diego County, California. I saw 3 bright orange lights at 9:20 pm Satuday, October 1. These lights were only about 200 feet high and just east or inland from the freeway. Thousands of people had to have seen them. They were not planes. They were not flares. The only possibility, besides UFO's, was Chinese Lanterns. I have never seen Chinese Lanterns; but I don't think that's what they were; because these were low enough, if they were Chinese Lanterns, I should have seen the balloon part illuminated by the flames. Plus, these lights seemed like they were larger than I would expect a Chinese Lantern to be. The lights were about the same size as a police helicopter light at 200 feet; but again, the lights did not shine light down----they were just bright orange lights---very bright.

I was driving with my window down. I did not hear a helicopter sound. I pass Camp Pendleton Marine Base all the time----if these lights were helicopters, the helicopters would have easily been heard. In fact, they would have been loud. I heard nothing. And I did not have the radio on.

These fiery lights were orange (and one may have had blue on top). The lights were a different color than any police helicopter light. The lights were low. 2 of the lights were almost above the freeway, and the third light was more inland; so I got a good look at the 2 lights. Anyway, I saw the 2 lights for about 10 seconds---again, as I was driving. These 2 lights were not connected; they moved independent of each other. I have seen many hot air balloons in Del Mar area. These lights were not hot air balloons.

The wind was calm tonight. 2-5 mph. I checked the weather channel as soon as I got home (about 10 pm)----winds were variable about 2 mph. These lights were moving more than 5 mph (more like 30 mph) and heading north along the freeway ( I was driving south). I did not look very much at the third light-----I focused on the 2 closest lights. Again, These lights were low. My guess is a couple hundred feet. They were bright; but did not emit towards the ground. The lights were not flares. There were no sparks or smoke being emitted from the lights.

I don't know what they were. Carlsbad in about 15 miles north of the air show at Miramar----which did occur earlier this evening. These were not helicopters or other air craft. I see military jets every day.

It will be interesting to see if others. There had to have been thousands of people driving on the 5 freeway at 9:20 pm Saturday night October 1.

Eagle-looking object hovering over my location for appx. 5 seconds...then darted off at high speed.

Okay..this is what happened.I was layin' out in the sun on the chairs-lounge in my backyard on my back.I was just layin' there lookin' straight up...and I saw this object just hovering stationary in the sky, appx. 500-1000 feet, in the air directly above me.

I remained motionless, with my sunglasses on..so maybe this object (the occupant's) thought I was asleep.. I don't know..but I must have moved my head, or arms, slightly because.. as soon as I did that,the object darted off at a VERY HIGH rate of speed..my guess 1000's of mph, behind the limb's of my tree.

Thats when I lost sight of it. The only thing I can compare it to, as far as discription, is that, to me, it looked like an eagle...with one wing spread out.

That's what I originally thought it was...until it took off.

Anyway..that's what I saw. Has anyone seen a ufo disquised as an eagle.If so, I'd like to hear about it! ....because this thing was way TOO FAST to be that.

Shinny golden matalic disk/sauser shaped object seen for 2-3 secs....then disappeared!

Today's incident: I was outside in the backyard getting some sunshine, and as I was looking up towards the south-west, at about 1 or 2 o'clock, I saw a shiny matalic object, moving rapidly (I say 200-500 mph) in the sky towards the south-east at about 2,000 to 5,000 ft. It had a bright golden/matalic glow to it.

I saw it for only 2 or 3 seconds and then....it disappeared.

There were clouds in the sky, but where I saw the UFO flying, it was perfectly clear and deep blue...It didn't go inside/behind a cloud,like alot of reports suggest...it just vanished..into thin air!!! I'm almost 51, and have had numerous siteings in the span of my lifetime.

Incident # 2 : I also want to mention an incident that occured last winter(nov. or dec.) I was laying in bed.It was early morning,and I had just woke up.I suddenly became aware of some type of communication (could have been telepathic) coming from somewhere.The communication asked me, " Do you want to come watch us leave"...It startled me BIG TIME..because it was in my thought pattern.

I believe I could have been abducted earlier that morning or night.

The only way I can describe it was that it sounded like an insect talking..

If that makes any sense..like a praying mattis..or something like that.

VERY strange! If anyone else out there has had a similar experience, I would like to hear/ read about it. I'm 100% sane, with an IQ in the 130 + range..so I'm NOT some loony-tune. Anyways..oh yeah..I like to hear from an expert on ufo abductions, if possible.I believe I've been abducted in the past also. Thanks.

Saw 2 chem-trails flying over SD Co. going 2 different directions for approx 7-10 mins before...disappearing!!!

Yesterday afternoon, I was outside in my backyard.

I looked to the west, towards the pacific ocean.

Im Approx 2 miles or so from the coastline.

I saw 2 chemtrail planes (fake..maybe.. don't know.) Flying approx 20-25000 ft. towards the west.

they were both seperated by approx 1-4 miles.

Actually one was going south-west, and the other one due west..The one going due west,I watched for about 3-5 mins..then I started watching the other chemtrail, when I re-turned eyes to the westbound chem trail..it was gone..

After that one disappeared, I watched the other one for another 3 mins or so...and then that one disappeared also..

VERY strange....oh and another strange thing about this.. This 2nd one that was going south west, suddenly changed direction to due west..

then changed direction again this time going due north!!!...

I have NEVER seen a chemtrail do that...EVER! Then after it changed direction to the north...it just vanished....VERY BIZARRE! Anyway, thats my siteing story..total time approx 7 to 10 mins.

Bright light changes color from blue to red as it circles, hovers, dips, and rises up, only to eventually circle back down.

This is now the 3rd time that I've seen this. Southwest of my location in Carlsbad, I spotted a bright blue light in the sky. Following it, the light would turn blue as it flew to my left and then it would turn red as it flew back towards the right. It circled in the same exact spot in the sky that I've seen it before. The light also hovered, dipped, and shot up into the air, behaving much like a toy helicopter. Once again, though, from this distance, someone must have put a ton of lights on it, if that's what it is. The lights seem brighter than a normal aircraft's lights would be from the same distance. It's seen south and fairly close to Palomar Airport, which is my concern. In this third sighting, I contacted the local PD for the second time. I did not report it to the local PD the first time I saw it, but I have for the second and third sightings. I still believe that someone may be flying something that's either a remote control plane, helicopter, or a! toy UFO out of a neighborhood park near Poinsettia Ln and Ambrosia Rd. I will get video if this continues. It seems to disappear by slowly circling down towards the ground as it gradually drops out of view. That's the main reason I believe this is coming out of a local park and not an actual aircraft flying out over the ocean. I may have the distance wrong, however, and someone may be flying this from the beach. The officer I spoke with told me that I was the only one that called it in tonight, so that's why I believe it must be closer than Interstate 5 and the coast.

Single object. Bright blue light flying to the left, bright red flying to the right. 2nd sighting over same spot as 12/11/09 sighting.

This is my second report of the same lights I saw on December 11th. Once again, I saw a bright blue light in the sky flying to my left. It would stop, fly back to the right, and turn a bright red. The light would occasionally dip, hover, rise back up again, and quickly fly off. It's main pattern seemed to be flying in circles over one particular spot near the horizon. I believe that it's possible someone is flying some sort of model plane or helicopter from a baseball field, which is under that part of sky I witnessed the lights flying above. This ballpark is near Poinsettia Ln and Ambrosia Rd in Carlsbad. My concern, if this is the case, is that the lights are extremely bright and too close to Palomar Airport. They are not the normal red and green navigation lights, which could confuse other pilots landing and taking off from the nearby airport. Even if this is a normal plane, which I doubt due to it's behavior in the sky, these lights were much brighter th! an a small plane would be from that same distance. This time I contacted local PD just to have it reported on a non-emergency line and the light descended shortly there after I ended my phone call. I do not believe an officer was able to see the lights in time.

This UFO displayed a bright blue light when flying to the left and a bright red light when flying to the right, moved fast and circled.

At approximately 2:50am, while looking Southwest from a business just South of Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, California, a bright blue light in the sky caught my attention while I had been outside walking in a parking lot. The light was at the horizon and seemed far away, like it might be near Interstate 5 or the coastline. However, the light was brighter than it should have been if it was a regular aircraft flying from that far away. It was also quiet, so I assumed it was too far away for me to hear. The blue light was flying to the left. That's what really made me stop to look at it. I thought something was strange about what I was looking at. I work by an airport so I'm used to seeing lights in the sky all the time, but something seemed strange about this one. If an aircraft is flying from the right to my left in front of me, shouldn't I be seeing a red navigation light? The light slowed and changed colors. It went from blue to red and flew back to my right. It appeared to be circling something off in the distance, like a police helicopter. My initial thought was that it WAS a police helicopter, but I was still confused by the lights and the direction of travel. I have this saying to remember which side of an aircraft the lights are on: "Go right ahead." I think of green meaning 'go' and 'right' reminds me that green should be on the right side of the plane. As I stood there and watched, I expected to see a white search light come on. It never did. It circled a few times, even seemed to hover. It would moved off quickly again, dipped, and sometimes dipped so low that I couldn't see it anymore because it dropped below the horizon. It seemed to always be on the move and wouldn't sit still for long. I was looking over the top of a nearby warehouse, but at such an angle that I was almost level with the roof of the building so I could see the shape of A/C units silhouetted against at the night sky. I kept walking when I lost site! of it and tried to walk to a better vantage point nearby wher! e the bu ildings were not in the way and so that I might have been able to see more sky, but the light never reappeared. I stood watching it for at least a solid minute, maybe two, long enough to see it move back and forth a few times, and for me to think about what I was seeing. Stranger still, even if the navigation lights were somehow switched, I am certain the light was BLUE and not green when flying to the left. I walked by a traffic light soon there after and compared that color to a blue business sign off the side of the road. The light was definitely blue and not green. Thinking back on it, at the moment that it turned, I do believe that I saw a white center light and possibly two very small and dim red/green navigation lights very close together, which seemed right for the distance I thought I was seeing the aircraft at, however once its side faced me, it turned a very bright red flying to the the right, and a very bright blue flying to the left. There were no other aircraft! coming or going from Palomar Airport at the time. Things were pretty quiet with hardly any cars on the road. There were no sirens I could hear, no police cars or ambulances were flying down the road heading towards it. The weather was partially cloudy with a low ceiling. The aircraft was definitely below the clouds. If I had to guess what it was, I would still go with something like a police helicopter, but I've never seen them use a light set up light this. It behaved like a helicopter with its movements, circled, dipped, hovered, and moved off very fast, but everything just felt odd. I thought the lights were brighter and different. Back home, I even have a medical helipad nearby in which medical helicopters often land at in the middle of the night. Even close by, the medical helicopter lights were pale by comparison and they would often turn on a search light when landing. I checked my watch when I finally lost sight of the UFO and the time was 2:52am. I didn't suffer a! ny missing time, didn't feel any different, other than a bit c! onfused by what I saw now. I'm ex-military and a trained observer. I wish the lights were closer so I could provide more detail. I believe what I was witnessing was maybe 2 to 3 miles away. My best guess would be somewhere along I-5 or the coast between Palomar Airport Road and Poinsettia Lane, closer to Poinsettia.

I live in Carlsbad Ca.,in the last three weeks I see super bright egg shaped floating objects they move slow just floating, they get real bright then they get dim kind of floating along, the get super bright again then they just vanish. It's odd it's happing every day, last week there was a huge at least 1000 plus foot object got very bright floating very high I would say 35,000 feet or higher, there are no comercial flights that use these flight paths because of retstricted air space around the military base, same thing it got super bright just floats along and vanished. These objects just show up and the bright like atracts my attention. planes fly in straight lines and usualy cause some what of vapor trail these float, change directions then vanish! I could blame in the Sun, but not when the sun is at a different angle for it create something that bright, but what vanishes it thin air, I look all around to see if it re apears, there nothing! the average time is 1-3 minutes! Don't know what they are but it's very strange!!

Bright light(s) witnessed in Carlsbad on 2/2/09

I spotted a very bright orange/yellow light in the evening sky just north of Carlsbad. I couldn't tell how far away it was, only that it was large enough to know it wasn't a star. I watched it for about 20 seconds then I went inside to get my husband. It took me about 10 seconds to get back outside, and it was gone. I waited for a couple of minutes, then I saw it again. It was in the exact same spot. I called out for my husband again but then it slowly disappeared behind the mountains. I waited again then I saw 2 lights appear out of nowhere. The larger light was there and a new, smaller light. The smaller light began to disappear, but the larger light stayed in its position. I called out for my husband again and he finally made it outside in time to witness the light. I asked him what it was, and he said he didn't know. I asked him to get my cell phone so I could record it. The light then slowly began to dim and finally went out. It didn't go behind the mountains. The light just started to dim and then disappeared. I was unable to catch the light on my cell phone. After it disappeared, I didn't see it again. I came directly inside and got on the internet to see if anyone else had reported it.

The object was transparent & cylindrical but having smooth edges and having a cross sectional area with red and green lights.

I can pinpoint the location of the sighting because I was on my couch looking upward to the second loft window toward the northwest sky. The object was transparent with cylindrical features with red and green colors - it had a cross section area with four smooth edges. I saw it for less than 5 seconds. I first noticed a bright light and then the UFO moved down and to the left and disappeared quickly. There was no exhaust.

10/02/08 just before sunrise, dark skies. Hovering white light which turned to blinking blue & red. Lasted 5 mins long.

Time of event was 10/02/08 0545 hrs. There was a hovering light on top of the hill (Poinsettia Lane & Black Rail Road) which lasted about 5 minutes long. This sighting was the 2nd time. The 1st was last month between 2400-0030 hrs. by my colleague in which we both have the graveyard shift security in the church at Poinsettia Ln. He had told me about his sighting & therefore I kept a watchful eye on the exact area. Behavior of the object was identical as was observed by my colleague.

The top of the hill is about 400 yds from my location In which Poinsettia lane intersects with Black rail Rd. There are 3 street light posts which illuminate at the top of the road/ hill. I noticed a bright light half the size of the street light hovering, circling around 200 yds to the right side. It changed to a blue & then red blinking light. It would just circle from on top of the street light to 200 yds to the right where there is a tower, it would dip down back of the tower & then go back & forth to the top of the road where the street lights were. I walked to the parking lot & informed the pastor who had been parked waiting in the car for a couple of minutes as he was early for the day. I pointed to where the UFO was hovering, we both watched it then I proceeded to walk closer to it about 75 yards to see if it had a sound. There was no sound. It was more like a small object as if it could be a remote control toy. Its behavior was similar to a firefly hovering around. I noticed it couldn’t be an airplane or a helicopter since there is an airport in the left far side of the hill. Airplanes often land & take off but I could later hear them. I later lost sight of it because I attempted to walk to another person at the parking lot which slopped down. As I went back towards it the object was gone. This took place just before sunrise, it was still quiet dark. The hovering speed would be around that of a remote control plane. I now have my camera handy hoping to catch it again.

Me and my girlfriend were just driving down the street, when this circular object shot down and bouced off the ground maybe 1'' in front of the car. it appeared to be white but considering the rate of speed it could have been silver. this is a residential area and there were a few people outside, but nobody else saw this except for me and my girlfriend. It was moving fast enough to just catch a glimpse as it came into view of the front winshield, it looked like it came straight down and shot back up at a slight angle. It was moving at an extremely high rate of speed. This was the most unexplainable thing that I have ever seen in my life, an object maybe 4 ft. in diameter,bouncing off the street in front of the car at an unexplainable rate of speed, with no noise. I dont know if you have heard about anything similar to this, I have looked on the web for anything like this but have had no luck. Just wanna know if anyone else has seen this.

Four red lights pass directly over head and seem to be one solid chevron shaped object, making little to no sound.

My job is security. At approximately 8:28pm, I stepped outside to lock up a conference trailer on my company’s property. After I locked up the trailer and began to walk away, I glanced up towards the moon, almost directly overhead, and I was surprised to see what appeared to be four red lights crossing the sky at a slow but steady pace. I stopped and stared upwards at the lights. They seemed to be traveling from north to south in a straight line. I couldn’t see what the lights were attached to. I couldn’t see the shape of any kind of aircraft. I couldn’t tell how high or how low they were in the sky, however if it was one solid object and it was very high, then that would meen it was very big as well. The lights easily stretched out to cover the sky about ten moons wide. They were also very quiet. If they made any sound, it could have been the sound of a commercial airliner passing at a very high altitude overhead, a very faint and distant sound, although that sound could have easily been confused with the low hum of A/C units on top of a nearby office building as well. I'm not sure the object(s) made any sound at all. The lights did not blink, nor were they were not very bright. They were almost faint in the sky, easy to miss unless you glance up and happened to spot it. They did not have the normal navigation lights you expect to see on any commercial aircraft. There were no strobe lights, no green lights to show what side of the aircraft you might be viewing. They did seem to be traveling to my left, but keep in mind they were practically overhead too. I still should have seen a green light next to each red light if these were planes in formation. It is possible that these were military fighter jets with an different light configuration than what civilians are used to seeing, but these seemed to move slower than I would have expected to see and I actually am used to seeing fighter jets at night. I was in the Navy and lived near Mira Mar in San Diego. I’m used to hearing the jets clear! ly and s eeing a blue light with a white strobe. At least, that’s what I’m used to seeing over the city at night. As I continued to watch the lights, a few moments into observing all this, I realized I might be witnessing a UFO sighting and so I quickly tried to gather any more information I could before the lights flew out of sight. I was too far from my truck to grab my camera. None of the security cameras pointed straight up. I realized my eyes would be the only thing I could rely on to remember this by. My first thought was to look at each light closely. What each light seemed to be was a set of three lights. There were two bright red lights with a white light in the middle. That white light seemed to be dimmer than the red lights by comparison, but also seemed to be on the leading edge of each set. The next thing I tried to determine before it got too far was if what I was seeing was a formation of aircraft or one solid object. I jogged back a few steps until a bright enough star was in it’s path. I stopped when the upper two sets of lights seemed to be getting close to that star. Halfway between the two sets of lights, the star disappeared for a moment. It seemed to me at that point that what I was seeing was one solid chevron shaped object. The whole sighting took maybe 15 to 20 seconds before the lights went over the horizon and behind the building I was standing near. I ran to the far edge of the building to get a few more seconds of viewing, but the lights were too far gone by that point. I could not see any more. I asked around, but I was the only person who saw this. I reported this to the Carlsbad Police Department and to Channel 6 News in San Diego. I will include an image I drew of the sighting. I am 29 years old, Ex-Navy, a trained observer, and I’ve worked at that location, near Palomar Airport, for at least 4 years. I have never seen lights like this, not here or anywhere else for that matter. I'd also like to note that cloud cover moved in later that night and the direction of the wind seemed t! o go aga inst the direction these lights were traveling.

This was like a "string theory" energy light show, initially mistaken for a distant approaching aircraft.

What first appeared to be a distant aircraft with green, red, (blue intermittently) and white lights, never seemed to move from its original spot. However, the lights appeared to be moving in a very erratic/random fashion. Looking through binoculars, the lights appeared to be circular dots chasing one another. The effect was similar to when you move a sparkler quickly and randomly; thus seeming to create what resembled the appearance of string theory energy. It was like a string light show, with the different colors chasing and blending with one another. In instances the circular, oval shapes seemed to collapse, though never disappearing. The lights would zip back and forth up, down, sideways, but always staying in a string configuration, whether open ended, or closed. At the end of twelve minutes, the lights just seemed to fade as if retreating farther into space. What a sight!

A white light appeared and then disappeared after fading to the left, 5 seconds, no navigation lights, 45 degrees above the horizon.

Not too spectacular of a sighting, but strange to me none-the-less...

I was looking west from just south of Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, California. It was just after 7:30pm. The weather was crystal clear. It was so clear tonight that I could see more stars than I’m normally able to. There was a lot of air traffic tonight as well, but something else caught my eye.

About 45 degrees above the horizon, a dim white light appeared. It was only as bright as a star, but it wasn’t there before. It seemed to be as bright as the brightest star in the sky. It seemed to turn left. The light dimmed as it appeared to turn and simply vanished. There was no flashing light. There were no red and green navigation lights.

I moved quickly to a darker spot, away from parking lot lights, and kept my eye on the same spot in the sky, looking over in the direction it seemed to be going, and there was nothing there. I stood and waited for a while, looking for any flashing light, no matter how dim. I have good night vision, had been outside for a while, and 20/20 vision to boot. Nothing appeared. I could see other planes in the sky. Even planes further away could clearly be seen with much brighter lights and the tell-tale flashing navigation lights I’m used to seeing working by an airport all the time. This light was not over or near the airport, however. I believe it was very high up in the atmosphere and possibly off the coast.

In fact, I believe what I observed was a “Iridium satellite flare.” It would be my first time seeing one, if that’s what it was. I thought there would be more of a flash… This simply appeared and faded out after a few seconds. It was subtle, but it caught my eye.

Bright light off the SW coast of California

I was driving South on Coast Highway around 7:45am, when I noticed a bright light hovering above the Ocean. I immediatly thought this was too bright to be a plane or helicopter. The body of this object looked like an aluminum soda with a bright light illuminating from the bottom of the can (lying side down). I shifted my eyes to make sure I was staying on the road, and when I looked back at the same location, it had disapeared.

2/8/2008 UFO Report Approximately 6:20PM this evening.

I was at the Hilton Hotel at Palomar Airport Road and Carlsbad Blvd (Pacific Coast Highway) 6450 Carlsbad Blvd, Carlsbad, California.

I was walking north east toward the hotel, when I noticed an object flying over the ocean very low and near the shore.

This object appeared to look like a string of lights, a large red light at the base and approximately 4 or 5 smaller blue lights up higher.

I was walking near another person and I asked her if she was able to see it, she stated, “I had noticed it while I was driving into the parking lot; it must be some sort of radio controlled toy”.

We stood their and watched it fly. It was flying, in sort of an undulating motion, south and turned back and went north for a few moments and then turned south again.

The object then flew straight up and continued to gain altitude until it looked like a white star and disappeared.

This whole event lasted approximately 3 minutes.

She dismissed the whole incident, but I said, “It looks like it might be a UFO, because a radio controlled toy doesn’t do that and disappear”.

We then walked into the hotel.

Dimly lit triangular shaped object moves slowly high above Carlsbad State Beach Sat. evening 12/29/07

Four adults and 2 children witnessed a strangely lit, triangular shaped object quietly traverse the night sky above Carlsbad State Beach. It was a cold clear evening. The stars were bright and the visibility was excellent.

It was large, triangular shaped, very dimly lit (unlike the stars that were sharp and bright) and quiet. It moved just east of the shoreline from north to south. The object then turned approximately 45 degrees toward the east. It traveled a short distance then disappeared. We did not see it move away rapidly, rather it just vanished or we lost sight of it. The duration was 3 to 5 minutes.

We saw a light that could have been a small aircraft behind it. It seemed to follow it for a distance. Both of these objects appeared to be fairly low in the sky, like the altitude of large aircraft.

I noticed the object outside my kitchen window at 1:00 a.m. when I went in to get a drink of water. The object was very bright and just above treetop level several miles in the distance. The object itself was not moving, however, after examining it with opera glasses, I could see that it was hovering and the middle appeared to be rotating with colors of red and blue.

2 red-orange "dots"& one white "dot" over Carlsbad, New Mexico...

Witnessed: 2 red-orange dots/lights in the sky,broad daylight, quite a distance from each other. Also noticed a white dot/light below the other two moving somewhat faster. first two did not move as fast as a plane and at one point seemed to be still for about 2-3 minutes. The white dot moved slower than a plane, too but was faster moving than the red-orange dots. Note they moved westerly and the closer towards the sun, they did not change in color and eventually were lost due to the sun in our eyes. This was witnessed by 4 people after getting them to see the first "dot" that was noticeable. No trail. No noise. No aura. No sound. Just the "dots". Should note, the red-orange ones seemed to be L shaped as if laying down backwords. Prob. bad description, but long ways. White one: round.

It was moving downwards pretty rapidly, in a smooth, almost floating movement. There were no flashing lights on it that we could see. There was a sort of haze arount the object. We watched it continue down for about a minute before we lost it behind some trees. But, before it went behind the trees it seemed like it was beginning to fade out. It was way too slow for a meteorite but didn't seem like a regular aircraft.

Just so you know, my husband is a very conservative 53 year old man, I am a 48 year old grandmother of 5 and this is the second UFO sighting ( if indeed that is what it was) we have see from our front yard. The other incident was several years ago and was nothing like this sighting.

Silent football field sized and shaped metalic UFO is sited on Pecos River in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

My boyfriend and I were sitting in his Lincoln across the Pecos River, looking at the night sky. The craft looked like a metal football field... completely rectangular in shape, and made no noise. It flew over our heads, and we both saw it. It had no lights. There were a few indentions on the bottom of the craft, but for the most part, it was just smooth and metalic-looking. The viewing didn't last but a few seconds, and left us both stunned, asking eachother "Did you see that?!"

2 Flashing red lights pass directly overhead in perfect formation at very high altitude with no sound.

I work at a place in Carlsbad, Ca., which has 24 hour security. I was doing these security rounds at about 8:15pm at night when I had my sighting. I had just walked out of the Southern part of a building, into a courtyard between the offices buildings, turning East to walk back towards the main building. I looked up into the sky as I usually do and spotted what I assume in Mars. I remember reading a news story about how Mars is supposed to pass close to the Earth again and look bigger than normal. I noted this must be Mars as it looked bigger than any other star and seemed to have an orange tint to it.

Just to the right of Mars, off to the ESE, I then I spotted something I'm not used to seeing at all. In that part of the sky, I saw two very far off red flashing lights. They did not flash at the same time, rather one and then the other. The first thing I thought was that these were military helicopters, flying at a very high altitude. They seeming to be flying to my right, which was South. I assumed they were flying from Camp Pendleton to Mira Mar, both Marine bases in San Diego. This would not have been unusual if this was the case. I've often seen helicopters fly a NNW to SSE flight path over Vista and San Marcos down to Mira Mar, even at night. I stopped for a moment to watch them... and they blinked out.

The sky was completely clear. You could see every star. There were absolutely no clouds. I was stunned. I waited. I wanted to see them again. I wanted to make sure that maybe they didn't just fade behind a very thin cloud that I was unable to see in the night sky. I expected them to pop back out further to the South, possibly leaving my vision on the SE horizon.

That's when they reappeared alomst directly overhead.

I looked up, surprised by their new position, but then I realized that they may not have been flying SE at all. They may have been approaching and flying directly West. I just percieved the wrong thing at first because they were so far off on the horizon.

They were now directly overhead, just South of the zenith. I watched them pass. They still appeared to be very high in the sky, however, the red lights flashed a lot brighter. The stars were even more clear in the sky. I thought that I might be actually seeing a black tringle. So, I carefully watched the sky between the lights to see if I could see an edge or perhaps see stars "blink out" as it passed by. I did not, so I was able to rule out this was a single craft. The two red lights were two seperate objects. They matched each other in speed and brightness so well, though, that if was hard to tell. I had to look just to make sure.

Once I ruled that out, I still noted no sound. I called my roommate on a cell phone I was carrying and reported what I was seeing to him. He was at the apartment, a few miles to the NE of my position, in Vista, however, the apartment faces NW and he doubted that he would be able to see it. Even as I spoke with him, the two lights were slowly making their way across the sky and out to the Pacific Ocean.

I continued to watch them, never taking my eyes off them, as I spoke with him and watched them bank to their left. The two lights took on a 45 degree angle in the sky as they seemed to turn from going West to SW.

Eventually, the lights met with the horizon of another office building and I had to walk away because I could no longer see them from my point of view.

My thoughts are that I believe this was military. It could possibly be either fighter jets or military helicopters flying at the highest altitude, however, what gets me if the total absense of sound, nor any other lights. Now, in the flashing of the red light, there could have been a smaller white one mixed in there, but the lights were so high up, and the red flashed so quickly, that I was unable to tell for certain.

I'm reporting this just in case I'm wrong and the military didn't fly these two crafts tonight. I am familiar with the two red light sightings in San Diego around the 4th of July and New Years. I'm reporting this just in case these may actually be tied into those sightings as well.

Note: As an added note, there was tons of air traffic tonight. I saw at least 5 other small planes in the sky returning to the main building. Three of which seemed to be flying up and down the coast of Carlsbad at the same time as my sighting. One plane was landing at Palomar airport at 8:18pm. It's possible other pilots in the Northern Western part of San Diego County may have seen these two lights and can be a better judge of altitude and position.

Flashing red light returns, alone this time, flies same path overhead, and disappears over SW horizon

Refer back to 20:15 sighting in same location. This is the same person reporting.

The lights came back. One of them did, anyways. This time there was only one flashing red light in the sky as it passed overhead, going the same speed, same direction.

Now I really am wondering if it's military aircraft circling. However, as always, because the lights would completely stop flashing and go out for a few passing moments, and because this still did not have any sound, or any other lights associated with it, I wanted to report it here.

This time I can give you something else I didn't note the first time. There was a sequence to the flashing lights. It flashed in sequence of 1-2-3-stop... 1-2-3-stop... each time it stopped, there would be no lights at all. I could only still make out a red light. I watch it blink out while overhead this time and still could not even make out a shadow of a dot in the sky.

I watched it fly west, all by itself, and bank to the SW again before I returned to what I was doing.

Peter, I'm sorry, but it turns out that these aircraft were fighter jets from Miramar MAS. They returned a third time later in the evening and I had a witness with me who was able to say with certainty that these are what they were. During the third sighting, we actually saw four of them, flying the same exact circular path, two by two.

He agreed with me, however, that it was very strange that the pilots were turning off all their lights. Again, right over the area of Encinitis, Ca, the flashing red lights would turn off and they'd fly a short distance for about a good 10 seconds with no lights at all.

Also during the third sighting, things were finally quiet enough in the area that we were both able to hear the very distant rumble of fighter jet engines.

I apologise for posting these reports, now that I know what they were, but, like I said in those reports, the fact that I couldn't hear them at first and the fact that they were actually turning off all their navigational lights was throwing me off. I guess they thought they were flying high enough that they didn't need to worry about commercial and private aircraft hitting them. I wonder why they still did that, though...

I guess you can still post the reports based on that weird fact. Maybe they didn't want to be noticed and were flying at such a high altitude because they were flying something unconventional. I have no doubt now, though, that it was military aircraft from Miramar.

two hazy lights circling in the sky, joining, and disappearing.

Late wednesday night around 11:00 pm, as I was closing the curtains to my bedroom which faces a clear sky, I saw, what I thought was two spotlights circling the somewhat clouded sky, after a few seconds of focus upon the strange lights, I noticed no usual beam which would characterize a spotlight from the ground. Then I watched as the two hazy lights flew in a perfect circle following each other in what seemed to be a game. One would catch up to the other while the other flew behind. This lasted roughly forty-five minutes. All the while dogs around the neighborhood barked loudly together (strange). Around 11:45 pm the two lights instantly joined as one while my mother and I watched as the one light circled by itself for roughly ten more minutes. The light then instantly disappeared, leaving no trace of its presence in the night sky. There was no sound whatsoever. The object/s was definitely above the clouds, because the light became brighter as it traveled through thinner areas of the cloud.

I was driving south on Interstate 5 when I noticed a silver disc shaped craft in the sky about one mile ahead just past the Palomar Airport exit and at an altitude of about two thousand feet. The craft was silver then turned whitish then became translucent and then disappeared. I was amazed at this changing of the craft and it reminded me of the old buck rogers serials of the 1930's and was very beautiful to see.

About a year and a half ago I reported seeing a similar craft on Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad about three miles from this location. This craft was identical but I saw it from a different angle and no lights were visible.

I am at work right now, and as I stepped out for a smoke, I saw a metallic object slowly, and I mean slowly approach from the west heading east. No noise was heard. I am about 3 miles from the beach and the costal winds were blowing from west to east at this time. I thought it might have been a balloon since lego land is down the road, but it altered it's course and began heading south. The bottom of this object seemed to be jet black in color, while the top looked as if it were mirrored because the sun reflected off of it with tremendous brilliance. The object would wobble back and forth every 6 seconds or so. that's how I noticed the mirrored top. I watched it until it moved out of view, still heading south along the coast. Numerous aircraft clutter the airspace because palomar airport is down the street. compared to landing aircraft, I would say the object was roughly the size of a volks wagon beetle and flying at 800ft or lower. I have an extensive knowlege of known military applications and have experianced several UFO sighting both alone and with multiple witnesses. It may have been a ballon, but a balloon is not going to turn south while the wind continues to blow east.

BRIGHT WHITE SAUCER LANDS IN ROAD!!!

I know you guys are pretty open minded to have a website like this and for this story you will need to be. I dont care if you believe me or not, it happened. I was on my paper route in my car this early morning at 3:20, I recall the time distincly because I changed the radio to a song I liked at that time. I was driving on Carlsbad Village Drive, and about a quarter mile to Tamarack road I experienced something. Now it being so early there was nobody on the road except me. I was driving about 25-30 MPH when I saw a real bright light in the sky about the size of the moon. I was totally baffuled by what I saw and I pulled over to catch a better glimpse of it. I am an avid listener of the coast to coast am radio program so I'm very interested in UFO's and such. It got bigger as time passed and it looked like closer. About 1 minute passed and all of a sudden it just disappeared. I was very disappointed but at the same time going crazy and shouting and yelling what ((deleted)) is that???? Then after 10 seconds of dead silence the round bright object landed RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!! It was circular and glowed very brightly. It was probably 25 feet tall and 100 feet from side to side. I'm only guessing on the estimates, real rough numbers. I was so stunned I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. Then I heard a voice as if somebody was talking gently into my ear. I looked around a didnt see anybody around me. All of a sudden the craft didn't glow anymore and on the side of the craft it said "FUTURE" The Voice said "nobody else can see this but you. we are from the future. you are the representative now of the future for this mass. please lead or their will be dire consequences" I remember every single ((deleted)) word it said. It talked very slowly and clearly in perfect english. I still couldnt see anybody but the craft and after it stopped talking i shouted "who the hell are you????" and EVERYTHING JUST DISAPPEARED. After about 10 minutes of me shaking and hyperventilat! ing and me getting weak in the knee's I went back into my car and started it back up. I then reached Tamarack Road and I looked at my clock in my car and it read 3:02. I was so stunned. I immediately drove home and just sat for a few hours at my kitchen table stunned and thinking what to do next. Then i got on the internet and searched for about an hour until I've come to this site. My heart is still at a million beats per second.

Slow moving horizontal white light seen over the Pacific

In my car, turning onto Carlsbad Bl. (which parallels the ocean shore) from Chestnut St. at approx 5 pm looking due west over the Pacific Ocean about 60 degrees in the sky I observed a horizontal thin light with 4 barely visible light streaks emanating up from it. At arms length the length of the light was about 1 inch. I looked for strobe lights or other indications that it was a plane or other terrestrial craft, but saw none. I stopped and got out of my car and asked a couple walking along the street what they thought and they said they had noticed it but didn't know what it could be. As I turned and drove north on Carlsbad Bl., the object moved north as well. It seemed to stay at about the same angle to/from me. After a mile I stopped again, completely awestruck at this obvious UFO (wht else could it be?) in broad daylight. At a Starbuck's near where I stopped, I approached a guy drinking coffee and pointed to the object. He said sometimes there is a kind of light blimp that goes along trhe coast but it doesn't look like that. He said he thought it might be a comet, but I mentioned there was no tail and it seemed to move at irregular speeds/intervals. Anyway, I got back in the car, drove north a few more miles, observing the object. I stopped one more time and pulled out a pair of binoculars (7X50) that I have in the car. Through the bonoculars it was hard to focus and it didn't give much of a better view, which leaves me to speculate that it was a huge cigar shaped or rectangular ship, way far away. I've heard of ships supposedly hundreds and even thousands of miles long and this could one of those that was hundreds of thousands or even millions of miles away.

I heard a voice call me out of my house that morning, and when I went outside I saw a firey Ball that made no sound and gave off no heat but did generate light. The Fire Ball floated down out of the fog layer that was less than 100 ft high. It floated down within 20 ft of me where it opened up a hole in the flames, I then observed something within the fire, for about 15-30 sec. After that the opening closed, and the Ball, about the size of a 30 ft square, seemed to turn and fly away toward the ocean, I went inside and back to bed, I think, pretty sure, I slept till 7 am, the effect seemed to last for three days.

Or at least I do not remember being thirsty, I may have drank water during that time but I do not remember being thirsty or hungry, thou I may have eaten something during those couple of days after but again I don't recall. Which is funny because I may have eaten a lot, my digestive function was strange, and then it went back to normal. I did get a small peek of the Ship, when it turned away, some structural beams, giving a major insight as to the overall look of the craft inside the fire.

Wobbling silver craft seen in Carlsbad, CA with bright light in broad daylight.

I was driving one mile east of Interstate 5 on Palomar Airport Rd. when I looked to my front left and saw a triangular craft wobling and flying slowly (about 40mph) south about three hundred feet above the landscape. The craft looked like it was totally stainless steel, had no visible windows and when tilted I could see the whole tail edge was lit with a very bright light (like the lights of a night baseball game} there were no clouds in the sky and the craft just disappeared in one second though it was no more than a half mile away. There was no sound from the craft.

*note about five years ago while driving at night in Carlsbad my wife and I saw a bright comet like fireball emitting splashes of bright light to its rear travelling about 50 mph in a southeasterly direction towards Rancho Sante Fe going cross country following the contours of the land. There was no road that it followed. This was about four miles from the above sighting. I reported this via email at the time.

Pinkish Lightbulb shape over neighborhood

Driving North on Rt5, came over a hill before Batiquitos Lagoon and saw a lightbulb shaped thing over the far shore/neighborhood, hovering and low. It was a frosted light as if lit from inside and had no markings on its uniform surface. The color was a pink-orange. At first I thought it was a hot air balloon (about the same size)but a second or two after seeing it, it turned off like a light switch and could no longer be seen in the dark. There are hot air balloons around Del Mar some miles to the South, but none fly low over houses in the dark, nor do they fly that far North. I called the golf course below it (4 Seasons)off of Poinsettia Lane to see if they had a promotional balloon up but they said they don't do things like that.

ps Could you perhaps include a space to "write in" the UFO shape on yr form? Thanks.

We saw two very fast-moving objects take off.

I was walking up my front sidewalk when I looked towards the east at the moon. I was struck by the fact that there seemed to be 4 stars lined up in a straight row above the moon. I waited for my husband to put down what he was carrying to tell him to look at the stars. Just as I pointed them out to him, the two "stars" to the south suddenly started moving! They accelerated very rapidly and disappeared within just a couple of seconds. They did not fade out or anything, they just started moving and then disappeared. My husband and I both saw it very clearly. They were moving way too fast to be any kind of aircraft I know of. There was no sound at all.

V shaped formation of approximately 7 lights obseved for 2 seconds. Formation approx 2 1/2 fingers wide, seen for 30 deg. of arc. No sound.

While watching for meteorites, observed V shaped formation of about seven lights at 2:18 am going SSE toward San Diego, CA at 30 deg from azimuth to 60 deg from azimuth going straight away. Formation was dim and would not have been seen without having been looking at the general location. The V shaped formation was like a migrating geese formation or the leading edge of a YF117. However the formation was about 2 1/2 fingers wide, which would have been close for an airplane, but there was no sound. The formation would have passed overhead, but it wasn't observed until 30 deg from azimuth. Also, it would be unlikely to observe leading edge lights while going away. Time of observation was 1 to 2 seconds. Enclosed angle of formation, about 70 deg. I could not tell if starlight was blocked out within the formation. I'm a conservative aerospace structures engineer, 60+ years old, first UFO sighting.

Round orb of light seen in back yard.between apr.and oct 1997.

Can't remember the exact date,but it was sometime in 1997.

It was about 10:30, late one night, and I went into the kitchen to get a glass of water. As I was filling the glass, I looked out the window,and saw a bright white light, out in the far back part of the property, in between the trees and the branches.

I would say it was aprx 75-100 ft from the window.

The orb of light was stationary at first,about 4-5 feet off the ground.

It was about the size of a basketball, maybe a little smaller. It seemed to know I was there,because it started to move closer and closer to my location, until it got to the iron fence about 50 ft away..then it stopped.

At that moment, it looked larger in diameter. It just hovered there for about 20 sec. I really started to feel uneasy/paranoid/afraid at this point.

After hovering there,the object started coming towards the window at an incredible rate of speed,from about 50ft away. My 1st reaction/thought was " holly sh*t,this things gonna fly right thru the fr*ckin window!!!" " I gotta get the heck outta here"

Needless to say, I was VERY scared at this point...and thats exactly what I did...I RAN..as fast as I could to the back back bedroom, where I closed the door, quick like.I completely expected to hear the sound of shattering glass behind me as I ran...but it never occured. I was dumbfounded,totally. After about 2 mins. in the room, I decided to go see if it was still there..but the object was gone. This dang thing,whatever it was, seriously scared the beggebbies outta me... Haven't seen it since.

End of story.((I would like to know, though,if anyone else has seen this kind of object/ufo.))

"Flying saucer" in southeastern New Mexico

There's not a whole lot I can say about the UFO sighting involved in this picture. A friend of mine took the photo and gave it to me. It sat around in my dresser for a while before I got it scanned and put it up on the internet. And then it was another couple of years before I found this site and decided to submit it. (I haven't been terribly interested in the whole thing.) Apparently, my friend just saw this thing go flying by and snapped a few photos. (The others were not as good, and I ended up losing them anyway.)

OK, maybe this is the better way to go at this....

I'm really interested in getting a first-hand feel for how good UFOlogists are at recognizing hoaxes. I've
placed this photo up in a couple of different places and asked people what they think of it.

When I submitted it to you, I wanted to pose it as a real UFO photo (it is actually a hoax), and then see
what sort of tests were performed on it. Apparently, my conscience won't let me follow through on that :-)

I've heard stories of UFO researchers who have wasted lots of money on examining hoaxes, and I certainly didn't want that to happen here. (I figured my photo probably wasn't good enough to justify it.)

So basically....I've often wondered how easy it would be to dupe UFOlogists....but I guess I'm not the man for the job 'cause I just don't feel right doing it.

I'm sorry for any trouble I may have caused.

Triangle-shaped craft hovers silently over the Pecos River.

On a cloudless Sunday morning around 9:45, I was riding my bicycle to one of Carlsbad’s city parks on the Pecos River. I had stopped briefly to check for traffic before I crossed a street that was a few blocks from the river.

As I was starting to cross the road, I became aware of a large triangular craft hovering silently just above the trees on the river bank. The craft was a dull dark gray or black, about 50’ long and maybe 25-30’ wide. I could not judge its width as well because of the flat angle at which I was viewing it, but I could clearly see that it had a triangular shape and a fairly thin profile. After a few seconds, it faded out, as if it had dissolved into the air.

At the time of the sighting, I was working in Carlsbad as a mental health professional. I previously had been chief of a large fire protection district in the western U.S., and had training in fire investigation.

Before that I was a naturalist with the National Park Service, and have long been a student and observer of nature. I consider myself to be a curious, careful and scientifically oriented observer.

I saw a diamond shaped object hover over the Pacific, which flew over my condo, being pursued by Air Force fighter jets.

I was watching the discovery channel today regarding "UFO's over Phoenix" and noticed a triangular shaped object, which I have seen before. I'm not sure about the exact date of the occurance, as it happenned almost twenty (20) years ago, but when I saw the triangular image today, it confirmed my observation in Carlsbad CA, of a diamond shaped object hovering over the Pacific Ocean. My dad and I were out on our balcony after dinner, around 9:00pm, when we noticed the diamond shaped object, hovering over the Pacific for about two (2) minutes. Then without any sound or vibration, the diamond shaped object flew directly over our condo, at an extremely high rate of speed. Then two (2) air force jets, which had to be scrambled out of Mirimar air force base, attempted to follow the diamond over our condo, but when compared to the speed of the diamond, the jets were no contest.

The reason I am writing this today, is because your organization might care. You might be able to reference Miramar's records to confirm a scramble.

Again, my recolection is 19 years coming. I might even be a year off, but if there are records available regarding the Air Force's action, it may give you some answers.

This is my UFO experience in 1985 I work for a potash company out of Carlsbad New Mexico is about a 30 min. to the road that heads to the potash company. You turn left off of the Carlsbad highway the potash company is about mile and a half from the Carlsbad highway as you head up the road you have to climb a small hill as you top the hill it levels off the rest of the way to the potash mine.

As I was working the swing shift 3 PM to 11 PM it was summer time I was riding a motorcycle and when you ride a motorcycle without a helmet you noticed all your surroundings and I ride this road day after day night after night as you turn off the Carlsbad highway on the corner of the road and the highway about 100 yards there's what we call an escape shaft for emergencies use this escape shaft has an elevator shaft that sticks up about 150 feet from the ground. It was 11 PM as I come up out of the ground I took my shower and headed to my motorcycle and started the mile and a half trip to the Carlsbad highway

as I started down the hill I looked over towards the escape shaft and I saw above that escape shaft a bright orange light that I've never seen their Before I pulled my motorcycle over straight across from the escape shaft as I stated the shaft is about 100 yards from the road I stopped and noticed that the bright orange light was about 150 feet above the elevator shaft as I watched for about 45 seconds the bright orange light started moving towards me and as a got above me without making a sound are any kind of noise at all it stopped it was the above me for about 30 seconds as turned off my motorcycle I stared at it then all of a sudden a car topped the hill and started heading down as the lights hit me from the car the bright orange light shot off to the right of me without a sound it took off so fast it left an orange streak and it stopped and then took off straight up without a sound and left another orange streak

I stood there with my mouth wide open the car they came over the hill l never stopped to see what I was looking at they just kept going like they never saw anything and they might not have so I started my motorcycle backup and started my way home

this is the first time I have told anybody about what happened on that night every time I go by that shaft at night I always wonder what would have happen if the car never appeared over that hill I wonder if I would have been abducted and how it would have change my life that is my story of a UFO sighting

3 flying saucers hovering above a flower field in clear daylight

I was in the front seat of my neighbors car, being driven up to Carlsabd to take their dog to a pet hotel for Easter vacation. I looked out the window and clearly saw 3 silver flying saucers hovering above a big field of red flowers. They had a slight woble to them as they were sitting stationary in the air about 200 feet up. They had a circular pattern of red and white lights around the bottom and were about 40 feet across. I also remember seeing a small antennae on top of their dome. I revisited the site recently and estimated that we were between half and a quarter mile away as we were driving closer. After about 20 seconds, within a blink of an eye they were gone. I was twelve at the time and was very impressed by what I saw and told my folks about it as soon as we got home. The next morning when I awoke to my radio alarm clock, set to KCBQ, the DJ announced that over 150 people phoned in to report seeing 3 flying saucers throughout San Diego County. This event ocurred in clear daylight and I often wonder about what flew these things and where they come from. They seemed to be checking out the impressive sight of the red flowers from above.
