I went outside to take my dog for a walk and looked up at the stars. They were so bright. I started looking around. I stopped because I wasn’t sure what I was seeing. At first it looked like a meteor shower. There were a number of “stars” that were twinkling and moving up in unison together. I just stared and watched them all move and twinkle until they gradually disappeared in layers. This happened over a minute or two.

Very clear conditions. 45 degrees to horizon, west direction. 20 to 40 objects/lights of red or blue/green color moving and stopping independently of each other. We did not agree that the lights were following a pattern. Light moved in straight lines and semi circular motions, stopping, and starting.

The light were concentrated in a confined area. We were positioned at an altitude in the mountains at 5700 ft above sea level. We were looking west into the stars 250 miles to thousands of mile into the distance. At 45 degrees to the horizon the lights had to be many miles above the sea level.

Black dot moving fast on a sunny day that disappeared behind clouds on 9/29/16 at 11:45 am. Duration was 3-5 seconds.

The object I observed at 11:45 am on 9/29/16 was a black dot. It was moving North to South (possiblly SE) on a sunny day with high 'puffy' clouds. I noticed it before it went behind some clouds, approxiatematly for 3-5 seconds. It was on a straight trajectory moving fast (about 2-3 times as fast as a satellite may appear at night). It left no contrail or any noticable trail of any kind.

After it went behind the clouds, I could not locate it again. Idyllwild is a mile above sea level, the local peak (which was in the back ground) is about 9k feet and I would approximate the height of the UFO was 12-13 thousand feet.

I am 44 years old and grew up here in Ca. I grew up between many airports and have seen airplanes (and military planes) in the sky all my life, this was not an airplane. The trajectory of this object was not of any flight path that I have seen living here over the past eight years. This is the first time I have ever seen a UFO.

Green fireball in sky observed from idyllwild mountain highway

I was driving down highway 74 about half a mile from the junction with the 243 toward Idyllwild and saw a large green ball in the sky. It was bright and stationary in the sky. After a couple seconds it began accelerating toward the ground at a high rate of speed and i could see what appeares to be orange flames behind it, though at a great distance. Seemed to be falling in the direction of hemet/san jacinto.

Large triangle. Bright light

II lived in Idyllwild. Grew-up there as a kid and had two unexplainable experiences.

One was about 8:00pm. I was looking at the stars when I though I saw three planes flying in a triangle formation very high. As I watched them slowly pass overhead I notived all the stars inside the triangle were gone. My gut feeling was telling me this was all wrong. It would have been a massive ship.

The other sighting was when I was camping with my Boy Scout troop at Skunk Cabbage on an overnight hike. We liked to go night hiking only using our flashlights when we had to.

On one of these hikes, we whitnessed a ball of white light descend into a canyon. We walked to where we saw the light decend, standing on the edge of the canyon wall. The light was there, shining down to the ground, the trees were lit up around were the light was shining and were swaying a bit like it was really windy where the light was.

What was weird was that there was no sound or wind where we were standing.

We all ran back to camp scared. Our scout leader said it was probably a helicopter. I never believed it was.
