Bright light, a connection, a show of silent power and speed.

I was on a camping / climbing trip in the Alabama Hills above Lone Pine ca. Camped at site #17. There are now very few campsites located in Alabama hills, so there was no other campsites in my field of view. That and the fact that it was very uncrowded in general.

On the night of 3/19/25 at around 10:30 pm, I was putting some climbing gear back in my car for the night when I suddenly felt a presence behind me. I quickly turned around to see if a person or an animal had silently snuck up on me. I immediately noticed a star like bright light on the opposite side of the owens valley from where I was. I was on the Mt. Whitney side… the light was coming from about midway up the Inyo Mountain Range to the east, above and slightly south of the town of Lone Pine Ca. Not sure of the exact miles away from my location to that part of the Mtn. range but a rough guess would be 20-25 miles.

This is a very desolate mountain range with no trees and no roads anywhere near where I saw this thing. ( I know this because I thoroughly and quite obsessively examined the exact area the next day on a satellite map). This is very much a desert landscape Mtn with the exception of the ancient bristlecone pine forest much further to the north towards Bishop. Even though it was a dark out, I could still clearly see the outline of the top of the Mtn against the skyline and could pin point its exact location in reference to the town below.

At the instant I fixed my eyes on the object I became very aware that this was the presence I felt and apparently it was very aware of my presence because it rotated in my direction. I could see this was happening because the light was a bit brighter in what I'm assuming was its front, which was pointed more to the south when I first saw it. That brighter side stopped when it was facing directly at me. At that moment the light grew way brighter like a search light, but there were no beams of light or reflections on the ground from it at any time that I could see.

At the moment it stoped rotating and was pointing at me directly, I had the unmistakable feeling that it was acknowledging me acknowledging it! I was instantly frozen with fear, whatever this was, was absolutely aware of me and my exact location. At the exact moment of the onset of this fear response, the ball of light started to move slowly straight up just past the top of the Mtn (about 3 inches from my perspective). It then quite quickly started to make tight swirling and figure 8 patterns in the sky. I know this was happening on my side of the Mtn because when its movements brought it back down lower then the top of the mountain it didn't disappear but remained in view the entire time. Strangely…I saw no reflections of light on the Mtn or in he sky.

After putting on this show of supreme aeronautical authority for several seconds, it briefly stopped at the center of these movements and then shot straight up in a perfect vertical accent at a speed that I can only describe as "in the blink of an eye". There was no gradual acceleration… Just silent instant speed. At that moment my fear response grew even more intense, because at that kind of speed it could be at my location just as fast. I scrambled into my tent like a scared mouse, and zipped it closed as fast as I could. So much for the the "take me with you please" mentality I have heard people say. Easy to be brave from a distance I guess.

I want to add that I'm an experienced technical rock climber with 35 years of hanging by my fingertips while standing on edges the size of quarters… both with ropes for "protection" and without them. So I don't rattle easily. I don't drink, I don't do drugs, I don't even meditate or have any interest in anything mystical or in any "conscious expanding" philosophies or practices. I've had 1000's of outdoor activities, camped and climbed in some very desolate places. Never seen anything more then a bear or an elk. Because of this I don't believe in Bigfoot or any other supernatural things. Other life in the universe has always seemed like a no brainer to me though.

So… there have been after effects…

My tinnitus is gone, I feel stronger, I feel more focused, I was diagnosed a year ago with an enlarged prostate so I would have to go to the bathroom 10 times every night… now 0 to 1 times, my frustrations with other drivers on the road has gone away. This was one of the strangest things to have happened to me in my 64 years on this rock. I came to this site because I did a google search to see if anyone else saw any thing strange that night. Found nothing, but this site came up. So here it is.

White light appeared suddenly looked like a star suddenly went vertically down super fast. Faster than any normal flying vehicle

We were parked on the paved road next to arch rock trail in joshua tree park stargazing looking at a group of stars when suddenly I noticed one them go straight down vertically to the ground. It was so fast that I just knew no flying plane or helicopter could even replicate such maneuver. I've seen jets flying and not even a jet was as fast as that object. Asteroids and satellites and comets don't go vertically down and the light had no trail or tail. Just looked like a star moved insanely fast.

The sighting was insane, After noticing these amber/red orbs, things get blurry. We talked to each other at length because both of our memories seem to differ. He said he pulled over to watch but I thought we kept on driving. Regardless, at 3 pm, we were still in Lone Pine, at a local camping area just walking around when my memory is clear again. We totally forgot about the appointment for approximately 6 hours somehow and seemed to forget hours of time.

Alabama Hills, CA. We went to take photos of the four meteor showers. Around 1:08am. I noticed what at first I thought was a meteor acting oddly. It made a left hand turn in the sky. I told my son to look up and he saw it too before it disappeared. When we came back home I started looking at our photos and I found two photos where this mysterious object was in. The shutter was set to 8 seconds of capture with a 3 second gap between shots.

I called my son in to look at them and he believes that we caught a small spacecraft leaving a plasma trail behind it. He noted that the craft itself acted similar to aircraft in how the trail went bright, then faded as the object moved. Then we got curious and started calculating where the craft started to where it ended. We made a rough guess that the craft was at an excess speed of 4500 mph...going about Mach 5.85. The area is Lone Pine and the camera is facing towards the North East.

Camouflaged bird shaped object in the eastern sierras.

Myself, my wife and 3 teenage sons were on our way home from Lake Tahoe, traveling south on highway 395 at approximately Noon on July 1st. I was driving while my wife was watching a movie on her phone. My 3 boys were either sleeping or on their phones at the time. There was very little traffic on the highway and I had a habit of looking over to my left at the mountains, as I am a landscape artist and love to paint the area. As I glanced towards the mountains something caught my eye.

The best way I can describe it is this way. I saw what looked like a “glitch” In The scenery. As I looked closer I could make out a shape but could not see any details. Because I saw the slight “glitch” I could see now that I was looking at what I can only describe as some sort of object that was shaped almost like a bird but the odd thing about it was that it was camouflaged with the mountain in the background, almost as if it were clear.

I would look at the road, then look back to see it still there. I got the feeling that I wasn’t supposed to be seeing it but because I saw what looked like a “glitch” on the front of it almost like the camouflage disappeared for a split second I could make it out every time I looked back at it.

I am guessing that it was approximately 1-2 mile away from me between the highway and the mountain range. After just a couple minutes of watching the road and looking back at it (keep in mind that I was traveling about 80mph and it was pacing me), it turned quickly and I watched it gain altitude and disappear into the sky after turning 180 degrees. It was gone in almost a blink of an eye.

Now the strange thing about it is that I got the feeling it knew I was watching it yet I wasn’t supposed to be seeing it. Sounds odd I know but that’s how I felt.

Anyway, I didn’t tell my wife about it until tonight and I was researching sightings in the area and that’s what brought me here.

Thanks for reading.

encounter with et and being chased for 60 miles

returning home south bound on hwy 395 at around 19:20 hrs i noticed that on Mt Whitney there was a bright white light were there should not have been one, taking the next exist i follow a trail to a location that offered a view of the mountains and the area in front of the mountains, and from there i observed many light both on the mountains and from there base to the highway for 6 hours! I also was able to photograph some of the lights which although having a full moon helped long shutter opening, were needed. The light first light on mt whitney had disappeared when a few minutes later reappear with a second light and both light moved about the mountain until they reached the base, where they continued out onto the plain in front of the mountain for a few minutes then blink they were gone.

This activity continued thru out the night, with one exception, a light appeared at the base of a small hill located to my left i watched as this ligh! t slowly moved toward hwy 395 then stopped and went off! I wanted a closer look and moved without lights toward the small hill thinking a trail could be found that would lead me toward the mountain, but i only found a large field which confused me because my view had changed so back to old location was necessary, i was about to move on when i noticed that a light was moving towards my location from the hill slo wly using the trees and brush to hide its movement when it reached the last bush it bent over and rested on one knee then turned toward me.

This is what i saw the form was wearing a suit or something like that, light in color no other detail was viewed, a helmet was covering the head and was dark but for a copper like color coming from the inside view lens, I tried to use my glasses to see better but the form was not visable until i removed them, at this point my concern for my safety over came my interest to remain any longer so i left or tried to leave but was un! able to locate the exist which i had used to get into the fiel! d, stopp ed from going further i left my vehicle on foot to find the exist it took a few minutes but i found the track i needed getting back on to the trail there was a red blinking light to my right at first i did not notice but once i started to move so did the light when i stopped it did too i tried to creep slowly but this light maintained a safe distance from my vehicle. I finally got the camera out (Nikon D 3000 SLR) and started to shoot these light, there was a full moon that night but long shutter opening was necessary shooting the lights on the mountain was not good but taking the pictures of the red lights came out much better, I am not saying what i saw i would rather hear what other see, but when i saw the first image on my camera i new it was time to get out of there quickly and that is just what i did! Once i was back on hwy 395 and just passed lone pine something i had not consider happened that red blinking light was now following me this i know because it appeared j! ust to my right and in front of my vehicle using the frontage road, my speed at the time was about 75 mph the light had no trouble keeping up nor did have trouble passing thru a second story building next to a railroad crossing pacing me for the next 60 miles until i stopped near red rock state park and could no loner see the light!

Silent Matt black triangle craft seen alongside my car then disapears across dry lake at speeds in excess of 10,000 mph

I was traveling north on the 395 highway south of Lone Pine. To my right was the Salt Lake. The highway travels parallel to the dry lakebed. I estimated the highway was about 20 yards above the bottom of the lake. I had my cruise control set to 74mph.

No radio, no other vehicles around. A craft triangular in shape flew up alongside my car.

It was approximately 75 feet from my vehicle. Slow close I could see the texture of the paint. It was triangular in shape, not unlike what a jet might look like, but triangular because there were no ‘wings’ on the craft but instead it was triangular in shape. The paint was matt-black. And the dome on the craft was yellowish and opaque.

I noticed out my peripheral eye line that something was there. I turned to look at it.

The craft was perfectly visible out the passenger side window. I estimated the length to be about 1.5 car lengths. Maybe 15 long. And the flying height to be at the same altitude off the lakebed as the highway was for it to be visible out my passenger window, maybe 60 -75 feet above the lakebed. As soon as I looked at it, it banked at a 45-60 degree angle and disappeared into a pinpoint as it reached the opposite side of the lake.

I estimated and later confirmed the width of the lake to be 8-10 miles. It took approximately 1.5 seconds for the craft to become a tiny dot on the other side of the lake. Based on my math. It appears that the craft flew at speeds in excess of 10,000 mph. It made no sound whatsoever. And seemed to fly around a corner in the lake as it disappeared. It appeared to have a sort of anti-gravity component, as it came up to the car and then turned the way it did and was able to travel at such high speeds and so close to the bottom of the lake.

I thought it must be military. But as I have relayed the info. to some people I know including commercial pilots, the fact that it was completely silent makes one wonder.

I was headed to Mammoth mountain to ski for a few days with my brother. I am 47 years old, a mother of three and I live in Malibu California.

Saw a flat, elongated, oval-shaped, grayish object with three lights on the underside, gliding silently in the air between Mt Wilson and the mountains to the east of Lone Pine, CA. It was moving southbound, over US-395 near the intersection with Whitney Portal Rd. My friend and I were out of our car on Whitney Portal Rd, looking at stars, when my friend spotted the object to the east (toward US-395 (Main St)). The object was silent, not moving very quickly and appeared to be about 150-200 feet above the ground, and approximately 50-60 ft in length, 20-30 ft deep and about 10-15 ft thick (all estimates). When first spotted, the object appeared to become semi-transluscent and then solid, and throughout the observation, appeared very very dim. It slowly glided behind some trees, and when we went to the other side of the trees, it was no longer there. We went back the next night (same time and location) but did not see anything.

Woke up at 11:00 to check out of hotel and go get hiking permits. I went outside of the Lone Pine Hotel to pack backpacks. despite the fires going on to the right, near big pine, and the huge advaning smoke plume, it was crystal clear and bright. I was looking up at Mt.Whitney and decided to put on my glasses(amber lens)because it was so bright. I immediately saw a group of 15 or more white colored round objects moving quickly above the Whitney range. At first I thought them to be birds but I noticed they all moved together, in perfect formation, up and down. They disappeared when they turned either towards or away from me. I couldn't tell how large they were or how fast they were moving. I guess they were pretty far away and high, They appeared to be moving quickly to the north, right into the smoke (they may have been higher than the smoke but not likely). I didn't think birds fly into smoke! Anyway, they were remarkably similar to those ufos spotted down in mexico. My girlfriend saw them as well.

Many many white light type craft with occassional blinking multicolored red-blue-green lights came into and passed through the area. Missels of some sort were fired from the air to the ground and from air to air. There were both larger and small lights - the brightest lights being from what appeared to be mother type crafts with smaller lights darting in and around the larger crafts.Very little sound, although there was the usual hum, which was louder with the large number of crafts. Some sort of chemical agent was being sprayed/detonated in the niegborhood - eastern sierra high desert wilderness mostly -stank for most of two days, forcing me into town.

Mysterious Green Light following US-395 near Lone Pine

My brother and I were heading towards the LA area from Mammoth Lakes, CA. We were southbound on US-395. It was approximately 9 PM and it was pitch black outside. There are no lights at all in this area. This area (Owens Valley) is a long N/S valley that is bordered on the E/W by mountain ranges in excess of 14,000 Ft. As we were driving south of Lone Pine, my brother told me to look at a light that was to the left of the vehicle. I looked and I saw a green light. It was off to the east of the roadway by approximately 3 to 4 miles. It was only about 400 to 500 feet off the ground. It was moving at approximately 150 to 200 MPH. It had apparently come from behind us, out of our view, and we noticed it as it passed us to the left. We watched it as it continued south. Since it was doing approximately 150 MPH faster than us, it gradually got further away until we couldn't see it anymore. We expected to see it get higher as at the end of the valley, there was a ridge of foothills that it would have to climb over, but we never saw it again. This light very well could have been an airplane as all airplanes have a green navigational light on the right wingtip. But, there were no other lights other than the green one. No flashing strobe lights or other lights indicative of an airplane. Also, the green light was more like a luminescent "glowing" color, very different from the green color that is typically used on an aircraft. Unless this was a military aircraft with night vision capabilities, there would have been no way for a pilot to see the terrain. If you look on an aeronautical map, the section where we saw this "light" has mountains as high as 14,000 feet and it is pitch black out there with no ground lights to use for visual reference or dead reckoning. Although we didn't stop the vehicle to listen for aircraft noise, we never did hear any noise. If it was a military jet, even at 3 to 4 miles distant, we should have heard some jet noise. The area in question is very near the China Lake! Naval W eapons Station. During the daytime, I have seen plenty of fighter jets maneuvering in that area, however it was always during daylight hours and they were always up above 25,000 ft.
