Golf ball sized object shoots across sky.

We sitting outside at a pool and we were looking off in the distance and talking. I noticed a light shoot across the sky that seemed large and I did not think much about it until it shot back across to where it came from and then a few seconds later it shot back in the same direction as it had originally gone. It was very large, maybe about the size of a golf ball if you were to hold it at arms length.
