My husband and I went for a walk around the neighborhood and were taking pictures of feather like clouds. That is when we saw an unusual silver color thin streak. We couldn’t match it with anything that were aware of, such as a satellite or a plane, so we decided to let you know.

Light near moon slowly move away from it

While driving car on San Antonio Rd, Mountain View, CA, I saw a star very near moon. It was just north west side. Since it was day time and being bright near moon and never see a star like that near moon, I was amazed and so showed it to my daughter and my wife. My wife could not see it first, so we were pointing her to the direction to look we realized it was slowly faring away from moon, that made us very much amazed and we were constantly watching it without even taking our eyes from it. About 5 to 7 minutes time it reached 1 to 1.5 meters away from moon, then disappeared all of a sudden.

We were driving down Hwy 60W when I noticed what looked like a fireball in the sky. I pointed it out to my boyfriend because it looked like something possibly had blown up and was descending to the ground.

We watched for about 5 mins but the object never moved then we finally lost sight of it. We could see the Chen trails from two planes in the same proximity and this was nothing at all like that, and MUCH larger. We did take a picture as we drove.

Reddish-Orange concentration of light that stood still within the cloud line west of Mountain View, OK

I was driving home and saw a reddish-orange cluster of light in the clouds out towards the countryside around 7 miles west of Mountain View, Oklahoma. This was a medium sized light almost cylindrical in shape where the brightest concentration of red was. This light did not move anywhere and was clearly staying still in position within the cloud line. After about 50 seconds the light concentration began to fade out and disappear completely while never moving.

A few friends and I went to a show at Shoreline Ampitheater in Mountain View. We first noticed 2 lights in the sky that looked a little off. I kept looking back at them throughout the night. They would disappear and reappear. I saw what I thought was a plan going towards the lights. The lights that I thought was a plane separated and bounced off each other before coming back together and flying off in the direction it came. This happened several different times.

My friends and I watched as suddenly a 3rd bright light appeared. Within 5 minutes, a 4th appeared. I snapped a picture of them. They were stationary for about 20 minutes when one slowly flew away, then the next one, and the next one and finally the 4th one flew away. Very interesting. On our way to the parking lot after the show, we also saw what appeared to be an asteroid strike across the sky with brilliant blue and green lights in the tail.

Cylindrical shaped object came to complete stop and ascended upwards.

My mother and I were driving west on 44th when what appeared to be a low flying plane caught my mother's attention and she immediately told me to look. I was able to watch it move at what appeared to be a 'gliding' descent in an area that has no airport.

It was cylindrical in shape with a funky stabilizer tail. The tail of the object is best described as a vertical stabilizer without the horizontal. I watched it for approximately 1.5-2 seconds when with astonishment it comes to a complete stop and hovers for 3 seconds(?).

I immediately reported to my mother who was driving that it stopped in the air. As soon as I said that, the object in question began to ascend upwards into the sky for probably 2 seconds and stopped.

It slowly moved forward and the next moment it was a dot in the near distance(probably over Boulder, Colorado).

The near distance is probably 25-30 miles at least. Or it disappeared in completeness and my eyes missed it?

My mother and I are baffled to say the least.

Round bright white light following our car down our country road.

Boyfriend, 11 1/2 month old daughter and I were traveling home from town, traveling west down our gravel road and my boyfriend spotted bright white light, that appeared smaller than helicopter size and was completely silent, following the car hovering at about tree top level.

Could not judge distance....but when my husband and I stared at them...they stopped suddenly and started coming towards us. We freaked out and ran! We could feel that they knew we were on to them! We felt threatened. It's fuzzy as to how we disconnected... Never saw shape or size of craft. Just that it looked liked two planes in a dogfight. They looked like fighter jets.

two swept wing objects, in erratic formation, flying very, very fast at night, lit up very strangely

On May 10th at around 2230 my wife and I together saw what we would describe as two UFOs. Neither of us has ever seen anything like this, and we both agreed on what we saw.

We were at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA. We were lying on the lawn, at a concert. There were various ordinary looking airplanes in the air, all lit up normally.

Suddenly, we saw two small swept wing shapes quite high up, in formation, but the trailing object was in very loose, and erratic formation with the leader. This was unlike any kind of normal military jet formation I've ever seen. ( I am an ex airline pilot.) The two were on an westerly heading, flying very, very fast, faster than any military jets would fly, and they were lit up on their undersides in a kind of feathery light, but the entire underside was lit up. We could not see any detail, except that they were small, swept wing objects. They made no sound at all.

As I have said, my wife and I both saw the objects, and we did not disagree on what we had seen. It was the first time in either of our lives that we realized we had seen something that did not look human-related. We would very much like to know what we were seeing.

Slow moving disk emitting beams.

Both myself and my partner saw a small metallic disk no larger than a family car last night. It rotated clockwise slowly and had 4 or 5 beams coming from the bottom of the UFO which were not very bright and were yellow in colour, but were bright enough to poorly illuminate an object. The UFO was only a couple of hundred feet in the sky. It moved at walking pace and looked like it had a dome on the top of the disk which was faintly illuminated red/pink.

It made a quiet noise, similar to a jet engine, but much quieter. As well as the beams of light it had what looked like green glow-sticks on the rim of the disk.

We saw the UFO slowly move away towards the coast.

A bright light which seems to be stationary and changes colors before lowering and diminishing from sky.

It begins as a single bright light just stationary high up in the sky but not as high as a normal star. It doesn't seem to move, but is very bright then begins changing colors. I first noticed the light about 8 weeks ago but just ignored it. Since I've been coming home later after dark--I've seen it nearly every night. It sometimes is in a different location up in the sky but does the same thing. It eventually lightens up and disappears after about 45-60 minutes.

Three strange groups of erratically moving orange points of light move north over the califonia sky.

While in creek at around 21:00 on November 6, I noticed two lines of light travelling north from the southern sky. These lights were dim when first spotted and looked like a flock of birds. The lights then broke from the two line formations and formed two groups of errtacally moving balls of light. Being almost directly overhead they were brighter and more distinct, being orange red in color. I would estimate that each group of lights were numbered at 15 to 25.I yelled at my friend to come see,and he did see the lights just before they disappeared.

I was ecstatic, and running to tell my other friend who was down the way I spotted another group of lights. This one group appered approximately ten min. after the first two groups were seen.This last group was identical to the first, travelling the same direction, but located more east and not overhead. This last sighting was visable only for a few seconds. The first two were seen for about 20 seconds.

I live in a rural area of the Ozarks. I was sitting on my front porch drinking morning coffee. I was facing west. I noticed a very bright blinking light to the north barely above the tree lines. Just a second later it blinked again, but was farther south. This went on for about 30 seconds, always going south, just veering east or west a small percentage, until it went out of sight behind the trees, about five miles south of me. This light made no sound.

The background was dark gray, since we had rain earlier. There was no wind, no stars, the clouds were still out. This object was below the clouds. This was the first time I had observed this.

Huge irregular craft slowly moving from west to east over the San Francisco Bay Area.

This was a large craft that looked like it was easily the size of three jumbo jets.

It wobbled as it moved West to East across the sky. It was a dark metallic brown and black craft which reflected the fading sunlight. The base was round with two small spikey pertrudances jutting from the side of the base opposite of one another. Atop the base was a slanted dome that from afar looked as if it had a superstructure that looked as if it were made of wire-mesh, resulting in a cross-hatched pattern.

It travelled in the same direction that the dome was slanted in. When I saw it, it wobbled for about ten second, moving slowly across the sky, before it quickly picked up speed and flew away, becoming smaller and smaller before it became a tiny dot, when it flew out of sight.

This craft conforms to no pictures or descriptions that I have personally seen or heard of.

I was walking home from a friend's house at around 4:30 AM after a night of playing board games. By the time I was about a 1/4 of a block away from house, it was around 4:45 AM. The side street I was on lacked artificial light or any sort and for some reason (probably the lack unusually clear night) I was compelled to look into the night sky. Right then and there I saw twin streaks of green light appear from somewhere above my head or behind me and streak across the sky (faster than anything that's not powered by a rocket motor) heading towards the East and dissappearing behind the trees of someone's yard. As far as I could tell, the object or objects were fairly high up. I couldn't see the source of the streaks, but they were wider at the leading side and trailed off like a jet contrail, only with faster dispersion.

Now some may assumet that this was some sort of pyrotechnic, but that's out of the question since I waited several minutes for any resultant explosion. In addition to that, how many professional flying pyrotechnics would shoot 2 green trails and not make any sound what so ever? As for a meteorite, every one I've ever seen tends not to leave twin trails in perfect parallel sync' and also tend to leave white streaks. Others may assume that it was a military jet since Moffett field is under 5 miles away, however this couldn't be the case since Moffett should not be used for fighterjet aircraft due to its decommissioning about 5 years ago. In addition, the streaks were green and what sort of plane burns a fuel mixture or uses technology that leaves not red, not orange, not yellow, not blue, but green streaks? The fact that there wasn't even a sound also bothered me. If this isn't a U.F.O., the military is using the Moffett/N.A.S.A. Ames facility for a fighter landing strip or some sort of testing/staging area.

Nieghbor came and told me to come out and look at the sky. Above us were numerous white lights and not stars. Stars don't move as fast as these were moving. I believe they were going, I think, east to west. We were not the only ones to see this group of lights. People on the other side of our county did too and notified my neighbor and that is how we seen it. Some lights were bright white and some more a duller white like up higher in the sky. At first I thought they were stars but stars don't move from east to west at any rate of speed that can be seen in a short span of time and actually followed.

very sharp, very bright, intense green light - moved like a meteor

We saw a flash of green light build in intensity in one spot of the night sky, then accelerate down towards the horizon at incredible speed. the motion appeared to be like a meteor, however there was no trail whatsoever, and being within the city, it was so very sharp and clear that it appeared to be closer than it probably was. I have seen falling stars before - i spent 4 hours watching the leonids last year, but never did i see something that looked this big and was this sharp. it was just so uncharacteristic, it's visual appearance was like a flare, but there was no way it could have been one the way it moved. It appeared in the southeastern sky from our position.

Luminous white/green ball of light with tail over San Francisco Bay Area going N-S at 22:48 PST May 4 ,01

Object was seen at about 30 degrees above horizon going North to South at a descending slope of about 10 degrees. Trajectory absolutely rectilinear. Altitude estimated to about 5000-10000 ft, 2 to 4 miles away. Speed compatible with, or possibly faster than a jet fighter, certainly much faster than an air liner, but much slower than a meteorite. The object disappeared behind the trees. Witnesses were facing West, directly perpendicular to the object trajectory. Trajectory was between Moffet Field AirBase (in the back of the witnessess, in the East) and Stanford University and had to cross the 101 freeway. The area is densely populated with residential and business. Sky was clear with moon light. Moon was in the South East, to the left and in the back of the witnesses. Object appeared as self luminous, quite bright, size about 1/5 to 1/4 of moon, difficult to assess because of glow surrounding it and luminous trail (?) about 3 to 4 times the size of the object itself. Colors were mostly light green, white and some orange red in the trail. There was no obvious sound heard, however the witnesses were at an outside music concert at the time and may not have been able to hear it if there was one. My wife an I both saw it and pointed it out to another gentleman next to us. Local police was contacted, but did not have any report of this event.

It was night time and my friend and I were driving towards the NASA plant in Mt.View,Ca and noticed a bright object hover above NASA then shoot off into the night in a curve motion , leaving a shreek of light behind it. My friend and I both looked at each other and said , "what in the world was that?" , and it was obviously traveling too fast for a plane to travel , and too large ( about 30 X the speed of a plane in the sky) Plus its direction it went into the sky was different , moving at a curve.

This is just a short note regarding any sightings that you may receive for the above mentioned "UFO". The sighting may have been seen throughout California. This was a launch from Vandenberg AFB and NOT a UFO. You may already have information on this launch, but I thought that this may be of assistance in case you did not know of the launch. See below...

I do not know if the launch was announced--I do know that there was no mention of it on any of the networks or radio stations, from what I could tell--but it occured between 9:55 and 10:00pm. It was seen as a typical rocket flame for approximately 2 minutes. When stage one completed burn, it became a red dot in the southern sky. This lasted for approximately 1 minute, and faded from view. If you were unaware of this, I hope it helps with any reports that you may receive today.

Summary : While travelling eastbound on Moffet Blvd at 6:48p.m. I observed what I first thought to be a plane. The object was spherical in shape and appeared to be of metallic substance and reflectivity.I expected that this was an airplane and watched for it to turn, however after observing it for about one minute, I came to the conclusion that it was not going to turn. It simply seemed to hover just east of Moffet fieldat an altitude of approximately 4-5000 feet. After about 1 more minute, the object simply disappeared.

While driving eastbound on Moffet Blvd from Mountain View towards Moffet field at 6:48p.m., I observed what I first thought to be an airplane. Matelic cylindrical object sighted from Navy P3 Orion from above, houvering near Lookeed instalation.

I was in the Navy reserve from 78 through 85. I was an AE3-Aviation Electrican's mate third class and was attached to a P3 squadren at NAS Moffett Field in Mountain View CA. I was later, after graduation, selected to attend Aviation Offer's Candate School, Pensacola FL. I was living in Pasadena at the time, and was utilizing our P3 anti submarine aircraft as an airlift to my duty station once a month from southern CA.

At the time I was a student pilot, with about 70 hours on the books and countless hundreds of hours flying "dead head" on board Navy aircraft and general aviation aircraft. I have been around aircraft all of my life. My father was an accomplished pilot, and at times we owned two aircraft when I was a youngster.

The sighting occured shortly after takeoff from NAS Moffett Field enroute to Yuma AZ and then over to Burbank CA where I was to disembark. I was not an official part of the flight crew on this flight but I always managed to stay bussy helping the crew, listening to radio transmissions and playing with the inertial nav equipment.

We were under condition Five, meaning we were all to be strapped in in spacific places until the skipper called condition two. I was seated on the floor,strapped to the bulkhead, facing backwards on the left side of the airplane. Next to me was the emergency over wing exit door that had a window in it, offering a great view of anything passing behind the wing, and with almost an unlimited visibility up forward and to the rear.

We had taken off to the North and executed a long 180 degree climbing turn to the South. We were climbing through about 6,500 th 8,500 for flight level-2300. (Turboprops do best around that level.) I was curiously looking out my window, and I could see San Jose airport about 10 to 15 miles to the east. Beneith us was Santa Clara I believe, with residential, and commericial type of development. Suddenly, and I do mean suddenly I spotted "what appeared to be" a metallic cylinder houvering just slightly below our altitude off to our left.

Now I say houvering for a reason. As someone who flew many hours in both left and right seats, I developed this uncanny ability, as do all pilots to judge distances, proportions speeds-energy states, even direction utilizing visual skills most people never develop. It's almost like a kinsthetic ability you develop when you fly a lot. Additionally I think I should add here that my eyesight then was better than 20:20 in both eyes, and my color comprehension was off the scale, and my depth perception was flawless.

With that, here Is what I preceived. Again the cylender appeared to have no motion, only a relitive motion to us. If it was moving, it was moving very slowly. I guessed its distance from us to be less than one mile and perhaps as close as a quartes mile. Either way, it was way, way too close for confort, especially since he was not in communication with Oakland flight watch nor was he transponding-obviously.

I estimated the size of the "craft" to be between 20 and 40 feet high and between 7 and 13 feet in diameter, a ratio of about 3 to 1, heighth to diameter. Again, it was slightly below us, and again depending on the actual distance I am guessing he was only 100 to 300 feet lower, but not more than that.

There was no one near me, and we were under condition five so there wasn't anything I could do to get another whitness. The object dissappeared behind and below the horizontal stablizer after about 15 seconds of observation by me.

Not only was this thing matellic, but it looked like chrome, like a merror. Infact I was surprized I spotted it as it blended so well into the suroundings. From below it would be very difficult to see.

I should add that Moffett Field was located right next to Lookheeds major instalation, with satelite tracking stations and all sorts of facilities. That compound is like a small city un to itself. May be this was one of thiers, or the Russians, who knows. All I know is that I saw it and for some strange reason I haven't told very many people.

There was one very strange thing that I should report in reference to this sighting, and it is strange.

The moment I saw this thing, and once I got a fix on it, ie its size,speed distance and all of that, I got the strongest feeling from deep inside myself that "I was not suposed to be seeing this." It was almost like a voice in my head had stated that to me.

Particially hidden, behind cloud, hovering craft with large observation window clearly visable

My wife (at the time age 21 a receptionist at the Stanford business park) and I (age 29 a marketing administration manager for a national medical instrumentation company)were about to do some Christmas shopping in what was then called the "White Front Store".

After parking the car, I happened to glance up to observe very low hanging clouds and peeking out from one such cloud was a triangular shaped portion of a craft just exposing enough area to include a large observation window. Of particular note was the rootbeer metalic color of the craft. I have since seen such metalic colored material on 5 inch wide ribbon cabling used on experimental micro wave missiles. This area is very near a military airbase. Moffett field.

The craft remained motionless and no noise was heard. It was as if it was hovering very still as observations were being made. After approx 10 minutes of viewing the craft, I went into the store. When I returned 45 minutes later, it was gone.
