"Unusual" bright white light moving steadily southwest to east towards full moon. Silent; not jet. Too low/bright to be a satellite.

A single bright object moving steadily across early night sky from southwest to east, towards rising nearly-full moon. Brighter than commercial or military jets. Simply white, no other colors. Silent. No contrail. Object watched from out-of-doors. It took the object 4 minutes to traverse the sky from the southwest to the east/moon, maintaining slow steady speed. Strangely, it diminished in brightness as it neared the very bright moon. (I do nightly "satellite watches" and feel comfortable in stating that this object was brighter than any satellite that I've ever seen, and that it also appeared to be relatively low in the sky, even lower than a typical commercial jet altitude.) Not very exciting. But still.

Slow moving objects suddenly glew extremely bright, dimmed, then continued WNW on a non elliptical path

While watching the stars with my partner she pointed out what she thought to be a satellite to the left and slightly above Hercule. I looked where she was pointing and noted how it was going the right speed but the path didn't look right. It appeared to be moving *flat* across the sky and not in an arc. The path of the object was WNW (10-15° N of W) but was also traversing *down* towards the ground giving it the appearance of traveling diagonally. 10 seconds after I said that it suddenly glew a very bright white and greatly increased in size. Appeared as large as a thumbnail held arms length away. The intensity of the light ramped up over 2-3 seconds stayed illuminated for 3 seconds, then dimmed back to a point over the course of a few seconds. All of this happened while the object moved across the sky. After dimming it continued a long a linear path NNE before I lost sight of it in the distance at approximately 10° east of north. The best way to describe the exit path of the object is that it looked like the path of a train crossing a bridge when viewed from the perspective of someone below and downstream of the bridge.

Object disappeared and reappeared. Orange-yellow, fixed at one point in the sky. Stretched vertically into three shapes then reformed.

I was driving west and noticed it slightly to the south at 11:32pm. The video was taken at 11:39pm.

I thought it was the moon at first, but then realized it wasn't the moon because it was moving in place. Before I was able to stop for a video, it started shifting in shape-lengthening into three connected parts stacked vertically, rotating in place as it did. It came back together into one shape, disappeared, then reappeared about two minutes later. It continued to shift in shape off and on for the remaining time I saw it. Its movement reminded me of those spinning garden decorations that look like ribbons. It stayed in the same point in the sky the entire time.

Witnessed bright orange glowing light, "flying" in the sky, above our neighborhood, while on a walk at @ 10pm on 7/7/22.

I am contacting you in regards to multiple incidents that my family and I witnessed on Thursday July 7th, 2022.

Around 10pm, my fiance and I took our 4yr old son and our dog for a walk in our neighborhood. Maybe 10 minutes into our walk, my fiance asked me "what the hell is that?" and pointed to sky. There was a bright orange glowing object flying in a northeastern direction, above us. I scrambled to get my phone out to take photos and a video of it. It flew almost directly above us, making NO noise/sound. The bright orange light began to dim and went completely dark within seconds. The object was barely visible and appeared almost transparent(I described it as being similar to the Predator's "camouflage" from the original Predator movie)before completely disappearing. I was able to get a short video and a few photos during this first incident.

Once we calmed down (we were pretty freaked out)we continued on our walk. We were now on the street, directly south, of the street we live on and only 1/2 block away from the first sighting. Out of nowhere, I see another bright orange glowing object, flying northeast, in our direction. Again, I was able to get a short video and a few photos of the object. Just like the first, it was making no sound/noise and began to dim and then disappear within seconds.

We were now concerned and hurried back to our house. My dog and I were 2 houses away from our home, as I spotted another one. My fiance had gone ahead with our son, to get him inside to safety, but were still in the garage, when I yelled for her.

Unknowingly, one of our neighbors was outside and heard the commotion. When I showed her one of the videos, her daughter said that her brother had seen something similar, while swimming in their pool.

They too, could not explain, nor identify what these "things" were.
I then set up my son's telescope in our backyard, facing south to southwest, the direction that these objects all came from. My fiance was inside, with our son and our dog, putting my son to bed. After 30 to 45 minutes, of no further sightings and multiple mosquitoe bites, I decided to pack up and head inside. I put the telescope and chair, that I was sitting on, in the garage and turned to close the door to the backyard and saw another one. I banged on the kitchen window, to alert my fiance, and tried to turn the light inside the garage off, but instead I hit the button to open the garage door. By the time I looked back, it was gone. This took place in a span of 10 seconds, maybe less.

Now my adrenaline was going and decided to smoke a cigarette or two, ro help my calm down, before going inside. No Bull Sh!t, another "orange light" appeared, heading the same direction, some distance away but directly in line with the house behind ours. Again, I banged on the kitchen window to alert my fiance. This time, however, the garage light was already off and I was able to get both a video and a few photos of the "orange light". In all of the videos that I was able to take of these "things", you can see them moving/traveling and in one or two of the videos you are able to see the objects change direction. You are also able to see these things begin to dim and even disappear in most of the videos I took. I can not emphasize enough, how bright and vibrant these things were. I am baffled. There was little to no wind that night, you can check the weather reports or watch the trees in my videos. They made no noise. Everyone we saw was heading in the same direction. If it was a drone or something, I would think that it would have to turn around at some point, let alone the distance that these traveled were far greater than what I would suspect a drone could travel and be remotely controled. Additionally, we are not too far away from the airport and I'm sure that there are some rules/regulations in regards to flying drones near airports. I don't know?

I don’t know what we saw, but I do know that I have never seen anything like it before.

Moving at level flight from the south east heading north west approx. 3-5 thousand feet. orange spheres traveling in twos very fast. started off very bright and slowly dimming. At first sighting I saw eight orbs. They headed north slowing to a stop. then fading out. Then another two, then another, and they kept coming in twos. In my binoculars I could see a light that seemed to slowly circling the orb. I'm an amature astronomer and familiar with aircrafts, I was not confused on what I saw. My wife used her camera phone but we have yet to download to computer.

Looked to north after getting out of car at 7:00 p.m. Well after dark, 36 degrees F. and 53% humidity. Seen ghostly cloud formation that I assumed was northern lights. Cloud stretched across northern horizon about 30 degrees (of 90) directly due north in the northern quadrant of sky. It reminded me of a jellyfish with wispy cloud-like tendrils hanging down from it. The main body of the cloud did not appear to move itself but the tendrils hanging beneath appeared to shift about and move slowly as if they were suspended in flowing water. I remark that as I witnessed it I noticed that I could hear dogs barking for miles around within the silence of the rural setting. I have since checked space weather and there were no aurora forecast.

It was a beautiful sunny day with low cloud cover. I was going home driving eastbound and I looked to the north east and saw bright lights on a sunny day facing westbound. It was the size of a football field at least. This object was hovering over a barn on 200 North in Greenfield . I then turned to the south and it went invisible in the sky, but I could still see a shadow behind it. After getting home, I went to a trail in town and by this time I was one mile south but directly across from where I saw it before. So, I looked I. The sky and it came back into view again. This time I saw white and then it looked like it. Hanged a shape cause then I saw what looked like dark glass windows or mercury but only vertical. It just faded into the sky, went invisible. I couldn’t believe what I saw. I haven’t told anyone but my family cause I don’t think anyone will believe me. I waited to see if social media would say anything. Very bright red-orange drone-like object with flashing or rotating lights, stationary for 2 minutes then moved slowly away.

Odd ‘Drone’ Sighting, Greenfield, New Hampshire Location: Slope of Crotched Mountain, Greenfield, NH Date: July 18, 2020 Conditions: Partially cloudy with haze / warm and humid, approximately 75 F Duration of sighting: 5-7 minutes My wife and I hiked up to a viewing platform on the slope of Crotched Mountain in Greenfield, NH, hoping to get a glimpse of Comet Neowise in the northwest sky after twilight. Local sunset was at 8:20 pm. We stayed on the viewing platform until 10:00 pm, and though we didn’t see the comet due to thick haze near the northwest horizon, we did see something strange.

At about 9:40 pm, after looking at stars around the Summer Triangle, I turned to look south facing the direction of North Pack Monadnock which is about 10 miles away as the crow flies. I immediately noticed a very bright stationary light that appeared to flicker. It was orange-red in overall color, and in binoculars was very bright, so bright it ruined my night vision.

It was at least several times brighter than Venus at its brightest, and my first thought was it must be a Drone, though it was much brighter than any other night flying drone I’ve ever seen. It was also completely quiet, and I could hear no whir of propeller blades. It was hard to tell how high in the sky it was, but our elevation was close to 1,000 feet, and I’d guess this object was at least that high at it was straight out from our viewing position.

Through 10 X 40 binoculars I could discern no clear shape, with the object flashing bright red and yellow-orange lights, though in no regular pattern. At one point it appeared that either the object or lights were rotating, though it was hard to tell if they were stationary and flashing or moving. At one point I thought I saw a silvery background color under the other lights, but they were changing so fast it was hard to tell. It stayed motionless for at least two minutes.

After this time the object suddenly dimmed by at least 50%, and then proceeded to move slowly but steadily off towards the east, from time to time being obscured by trees in front of us. Once it entered a clearing between trees I could tell that there was a brighter red leading light and a fainter, almost pink trailing light. I would assume they were fixed to the body of the object but that too was difficult to discern.

It then moved beyond our viewing range as it continued heading to the east / northeast. It made no sudden directional or velocity changes, but moved steadily. We estimated that it must have traveled several miles during the time we had a good look at it. Drones in New Hampshire are supposed to be operated in line of sight, and there was no way this object was in the line of site of one individual operator for the duration of the event. I’d like to know if other such odd ‘drones’ have been sighted in New England recently.

Silver disk in sky, hard to see sometimes due to reflection of sunlight, floating shortly then moves quickly out of sight

Driving down 76th St, heading south towards 894 to get on highway. Saw a disk in the sky moving slowly going from east to west. Way too low for an airplane, maybe about 400-500 feet off the ground. Unusual look to it because it was so bright at times, assuming it was sunlight reflecting off of it but maybe it was its own light as well. Object stopped and got a better look at it. It was silver, disk-shaped, wouldn't say it was a large object but a good enough size. It sat there for about 20 seconds then it began to move southwest, starting slowly then picking up speed, going so fast that it was just a dot in about 20ish seconds. The whole thing lasted about 2 minutes, maybe close to three. First time experiencing something like this, never thought it would be this casual in the day time.

we seen about 15 to 20 craft setting in one spot at different times and place's with flashing lights white red and green in a triangle formation blinking fairly fast then at different times they would fly across the sky silent as they appeared to be floating and then one of them begin to fly east at a very high speed faster then any thing we have with a very bright beam of light shinning out in front of the craft lighting up the sky for miles in front of it then the beam of light turned to a trail of smoke as the craft would disappear in the distance but the trailer of smoke staid around for a few hours after the craft was gone. we tried to take pictures with our phones but they wouldn't flash when the lights on the craft flashed on

Strange bronze/copper object slowing flying in the sky, changing shapes, disappears instantly.

While I'm on my way to work, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye, as I sat at the traffic light waiting for it to change. I looked my right, west, there was something relatively low in the sky that I initially thought was a balloon. It was hovering over and near a strip mall. But as I'm watching it, it changed shape as it flew rather slowly. Its color seemed to be copper. I couldn't really tell how far away it was or how big it was or how far away it was.

As I'm watching it- it vanishes! It just disappears in an instant. I don't know how long it was in the sky as I rolled up to the stop light, but I only caught 2 minutes of it. I also want to mention, I've been experiencing truly paranormal (?) events with UFOs since about 2011 and on a fairly regular basis. I live in Wisconsin suburbs, so it's not like I'm out in the middle of nowhere.

Nickle silver cigar shape slow flying object

Standing outside looking north on a clear day, the object suddenly came into my view traveling VERY slowly from west to east over town. Less than 1/4 mile distance away and unusually low at 200-300 feet altitude (judging by the trees). Object was approximately 150-200 ft long. Strange thing is, it didn't occur to me until much later after object had already flown out of sight, like an afterthought, that this object made no sound, had no lights, windows, wings, tail or visible markings.

NOTE: Reason this report is years after the fact, I recently read a sighting report here that is eerily similar and aligns with date and time (1 hour earlier and 80 miles to my west).

I saw three extremely bright lights arranged in a diagonal formation over Greenfield, IN. (like this \ ). It was around 19:00. I watched them for a couple of minutes as they traveled at medium speed and disappeared below the horizon. It was raining and very cloudy.

Bright light hovers then shoots upwards.

My sister and I were in our car at a stop sign at our local Walmart. In the sky before us was a bright light that seemed to be staying still or maybe hovering.

My sister asked, bewildered, "Is that a light or a very bright star?" The sky was very dark and there were no visible stars at the time.

Then, the light started going upwards at a slow speed and we turned, heading home. We were staring at it, turning our heads and craning our necks, just as it shot up into the air and the light was gone.

We were thinking it was a UFO.

Fire balls turned into black spheres.

Was walking out of a local walmart. Noticed a person looking up in the sky. I observed two orange fire balls raise off the ground straight into the air, to the south of my location.
Once fire balls reached 2000-3000 ft off the ground they quickly burned out.

I ran to my car and grabbed my night sky binoculars. Once I focused on the two objects I noticed two very black cylinders floating to the west direction. It may sound dtrange but I have never seen anything so deep in the color black before. Almost metallic blackish.

They slowly floated out of my view leaving me puzzeled as to what they were. Much too small to be a plane but too big for a balloon. Both very solid objects.

twodistinct odd colored red lights suddenly vanish

Looked into sky westward while driving home and saw two lights that seemed oddly colored red. Somewhat of resembling a planes color yet multiple lights in a row it appeared fm far distance in some shape and sitting still. There were two of them. One slightly above and to the right of the other. Within about a minute the lower left one was gone and then instantly the other. I blinked and looked around to see if it was moving or somewhere or a plane but nowhere to be found. They were both gone.

Myself, 28, single mother driving home from friends house no alcohol or any alterations to enhance sighting.

Light object in sky during day time on 10/9/13 in Greenfield, IN

In Greenfield, IN. Approximately above the Mt. Comfort airport. (believe it was recently renamed).

It was daylight outside and I looked up and saw an object that was stationary in the sky but it seemed to be flashing on and off. My mom and sister both saw the object and were wondering what the light was. It couldn't have been a star because like I said previously, it was still daylight, around 5:00 or 6:00 pm. I went and grabbed my binoculars to get a better look of the object and surprisingly it was still there for the time it took me to find them. The object was still disappearing and reappearing as if it was blending in with the sky.

I was finally able to get a look at it with my binoculars and I saw two dark circular objects that were in a formation (one was above and the other was below). I lost track of them through the binoculars and looked back up into the sky without them and it was gone.

From my back yard in central greenfield, Looking in direction of Uranus. Approx 10 miles Out I witnessed a small bright light moving Slowly and erratically downward. It then came to A semi stationary position as other smaller Lights seemed to dance around it. It was fairly Distant and not easily discerned with the naked Eye, but it became obvious that the brighter object seemed To be taking evasive action from the more numerous Small lights. The swarm of lights often seemed To shine blue "headlight" beams at the larger light Wich returned in similar fashion. Eventually the The action moved to far away towards Northampton To see clearly.

3 UFOs seen near interstate I70 and Mt Comfort Airport.

I am a federal employee and a mother of 2 children. This morning I went outside to check the weather and drink a cup of coffee at about 5:15am before getting ready for work. I was looking up in the starry sky and noticed two very bright “tracking” objects with a star or planet type appearance. These objects appeared much bigger and brighter than the other stars in the sky though. I then noticed the disc shaped object. It was hovering in the night sky a large distance away (maybe 3-5 miles). The 3 objects were in a triangular formation, but were many miles apart. The “tracking” objects were hovering parallel to interstate I70 (maybe .5 miles north of the interstate) about half way in between the Mt Comfort and Greenfield exits. The “main” object appeared to be north of the other 2 objects in the direction of the Mt Comfort Airport. The disc shaped object was lighting up with what appeared to be tracer lights going around the middle of the saucer from left to ! right and then back right to left. The lights were green and red (going from green to yellowish orange to red in color as they moved). It hovered for about 5 minutes. I then saw a flash, almost like a blue light beam shot out for a split second. I kept watching it and I saw at least one more quick beam. Then I noticed the object tilt. It tilted to an upright position and the lights then ran north to south. I know it sounds crazy, but I almost swore I could see something in the beam going towards the object. It hovered like this for another 5 minutes or so. I then had to go to work, so I stopped watching the main UFO and watched the 2 “tracking” objects hover nearby until I could no longer see them.

I had just got back from the store. I got out of my car walked up the sidewalk with a bag and a box of frozen pizza. As I was walking, I thought I saw something dark moving accross the sky. I stoped to confirm if I really saw it. There was a small plane,I could tell by its lights, higher up and a good distance east of this object. This object was in a lower flight path and was moving from the north east to the south west, then more south. It blended with the night sky, and if it was not moving I would not have seen it. I could track it with my eyes, then lose it for a secound, then I would see it again. I could not make out its shape, I could only see a dark object moving accross the sky. I live one town over from a small plane type airport,and see many small plans flying at night. They all have blinking lights and you can tell what they are by the way they fly. I never saw anything like this,all blacked out, no lights, flying not real low, but lower than norma! l. At the time I was wondering if it was a government drone. I watched it for about five mins untill it was out of my sight flying south. I'm posting this wondering if any others in the area saw it?

I was driving through a development around 10:30 pm and i saw a very large bright light. I noticed it was slowly moving, kind of hovering. So i drove pass my turn and drove slowly and watched the light. The light then stopped. I turned around in a driveway and went the opposite way, where I originally had to go. I soon stopped and turned around to look at the light and it was moving again, in the same direction where it came from.

White light with no known source fading into a mist without sound on cloudless night

To whom it may concern: I am writing to report a UFO sighting that occurred this evening, September 19, 2009, at approximately 8 p.m. EST in the hills of western Massachusetts. My husband, sons and I were returning home in our car, when I spotted something in the sky. At first glance, I thought it was a helicopter with a spotlight hovering over a house a few houses down from ours. The light made a cone shape with the widest part closer to the earth and the apex was very bright. We pulled into our driveway and got out of the car, and there was no sound coming from it, eliminating the possibility of a helicopter. Then, it appeared as if the “spotlight” retreated into a small cloud or a sort of a mist and faded out. The “mist” quickly dissipated. There is a cloudless sky here tonight, and so whatever the mist was came from the object that we couldn’t see. It was just a light and then it was gone. There was no smell. We have eliminated the possibility of a flare, firework, or aircraft. No lightening. I! t is a clear, starry, cool, late summer, early fall evening. I am at a loss.

We see these objects almost every night. They appear to be lights at quite a distance. I have described them as looking like a "ferris wheel" in the sky. Many different colors. They make no sound and move at incredible speeds when they move. They also sit in the same area for quite a long time. I have many, many pictures that I would like to submit. They stay visible for anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour sometimes. We saw 2 on May 1, 2009. They were together, usually we might see one in one particular area and another in another area of the sky. These were together through the entire sighting. They stayed visible for approximately 30 minutes or more then it was like they just turn their lights off and we didn't see them again that night.

Boomerang ,points upright, in Greenfield, Ohio

I saw this thing this evening, the sun had gone behind the horizon, yet there were no stars showing in the sky yet, it was still like daylight, there were very few scattered clouds, but the sky was very clear above and below these few clouds, with a very light breeze.

I had gone to mailbox,( I have to drive, it is a half mile lane), on my way back I saw what looked, at first to be something dropping from the sky,slowly, or far away, and appeared slowly. Then I thought it was something like a meteor, all within seconds, then realized it was nothing like what I thought, because it was moving to slow for that, so I hurried up the driveway, ran into house to grab my camera, and binoculars, and my camera batteries were gone, so I looked with binoculars, and saw something that looked like a boomerang, or tuning fork, since it was in a shape of, well , as if the fork was upright with the points in the air, or a boomerang, moving away from me, with points in the air, or sideways, if you will. I then ran into the house to get new batteries for my camera, and returned to see, but it was getting lower in the sky, and so had to go further out to the pasture, and I snapped a picture of it, but it was pretty far away by then. I did get it on camera. I told my husband (as I ran in and out of the house to look and try and get a picture). He did not witness it, as he is a bed-bound parapalegic. He is a Navy Veteran and said it was moving toward WrightPatt. Thank-you

June 1, 2007 I have seen a UFO on three different occasions in the last 6 months here in Greenfield, IL. The first incident was the same day in November 2006 when the sightings were reported at O’Hare airport in Chicago, IL, although I didn’t realize this at the time. It was approximately 9:30 pm. I went outside to bring my dogs in for the night and saw an extremely bright yellow/orange light in the Southern sky over a corn field behind our property. We live in a rural area and there are very few lights at night, so it is very, very dark. Any light at all will stand out in our area. I had never seen a light in the sky like this before and thought for a minute that it might be a new street light that had been installed. However, it was too high in the sky to be a street light. I stared at the light for a minute or two and realized that it was moving closer to me and getting larger as it moved. I then realized that this was some sort of UFO. I actually could not tell what shape this object was, it just appeared to be the brightest light I had ever witnessed. It stopped moving and hovered approximately 200 feet in the air, maybe 100 yards from me. I had the distinct feeling that whatever this was, it knew that I was looking at it, and I felt it was looking at me. This object made no noise whatsoever. I kept listening for some sort of sound, thinking maybe it was a helicopter or something, but no sound at all. It hovered at this point for approximately 4-5 minutes then just disappeared into thin air. It did not move up, down, sideways or back. It just disappeared completely. Two days later I heard about the sightings at the Chicago airport and wondered if this could have been one of the objects that were seen there.

The second sighting was in April, 2007. I saw the same bright yellow/orange light at approximately 10:00 pm. It moved from West to Northeast. Again, I could not discern any detail of this object, only that it was very similar to the light I had witnessed in November, 2006. It moved at a very high rate of speed. This time, it did not hover but just continually moved across the sky. I have no other detail for this sighting.

The last sighting was approximately May 10, 2007. I was lying in bed looking out the window at 11:15 pm. I suddenly noticed the same bright, yellow/orange light in the Southern sky, again at the same spot I spotted the light in November. It hovered at approximately 100 feet or so for approximately 5 minutes. I then called my boyfriend into the room and he witnessed the same object. It hovered at the same spot for a while and we could see that the lights would dim to almost nothing, and then get bright again. From the angle I was seeing the object; it appeared to have 3 lights across the front. It appeared at this time to be round or cylinder shaped and I was seeing the front arc of the object. The object continued from bright to dim for approximately 5 minutes then began to move to the Northeast. When it reached the point that it was over the tree in our backyard, we could see that it wasn’t round at all, but triangular in shape. It didn’t seem to be moving all that fast and we ran to our front door and went out on the porch to watch the object continue moving to the Northeast. Up to this point, we heard nothing from this object. It made no sound at all. But, once it passed us to the Northeast we did hear a noise coming from the object. Something like the sound that comes from an airplane in the sky, however it wasn’t that loud. It was almost a swishing sound, not a rumbling sound. It continued to blink off and on and disappeared into the Northeast sky. The entire incident lasted maybe 15 minutes.

After witnessing this last object, I began to think about the first sighting I had. I wondered if the object I first encountered didn’t actually disappear into thin air, but simply turned its lights off as the last object had.

I have asked at our local gas station if anyone has ever reported seeing UFO’s in this area. I was told that occasionally people do report sightings. I have only lived in this area less than a year and do not know anyone personally to ask about sightings.

Large wedged shaped object, with two large bright lights, and no noise.

I was at work one night and my boss sent me on my hour break. I was driving down the road toward the center of town and noticed what i thought were two extremly bright street lights.

As i drove closser I saw that the lights were moving slowly across the road and appeared to get much larger than the surrounding street lights. I immediatly felt allarmed and slowed the van to observe the lights. once I got about 100 yards away from it I saw a very large triangular , almost boomerang shaped object hovering mabee 200 feet off the road at a very low altitude (mabee 250 feet). The bright lights were set out on the points of its "wings" there were no other lights and it made absolutly no noise as i passed it by.

About 3 miles down the road I found a spot to turn arround hopping to see it again but it was gone. I told my freinds at work, they didnt belive me, and I went back to work as normal.

I couldent have been the only one to see it, the road was fairly busy and other cars were slowwing down to see it.

Silver object following plane formation.

This was a sunny afternoon. The date is approximate. But it was before the Mt Comfort Air Show at the Mt Comfort airport which is about 3 miles from my house. I heard the sound of planes coming over the house. Since some pretty old WWII planes come over I wanted to get a closer look. I was on the screen porch, so I went out in the yard to watch the formation of planes go over. There were 3 planes lined up going overhead. They were going southeast. I noticed a silver object keeping up with the last plane. Then that plane did a turnaround heading back to the object. When it got near the silver cirle or round dot the object just disapeared. As the planes were going southeast it seemed to keep up to them at the rear. But when that plane turned around, it held back and went up and disapeared. I immediately went in and told my husband that I saw something I couldn't explain. It has intrigued me ever since.

early this morning while it was still dark, i woke up and from my window, i saw amyriad of lights in the northeast. it looked like a huge cluster of stars--at least 200. at first, i thought it was a plane headed for the airport, but the cluster didn't move. i watched for half an hour and it was still in the same place. there was anoblong black bar that separated the lights. there was no defined boundary.

the perfect V over illinois

at 930pm central time.. i walked outside and looked west at a 2 o'clock position in the sky. i noticed 8 or 9 brightly flashing lights in a V shape and moving in perfect formation and in unison. i immediately called a friend to look at this. we were on the phone while watching it. the lights were not quite as big as venus appears. they lights were blinking randomly. the open part of the V was at least 5-6 full moons across. commercial aircraft would not have been in such a formation, and military aircraft one would have been able to hear. there was no sound. they moved east to west across the sky at what seemed to be a commercial aircraft pace. if it was multiple craft the formation was perfect. i watched them until they passed behind trees while my friends i was still on the phone with reported them for at least another five minutes,still moving west. my friends over the phone reported an obviously recognizable object of an airplane in the vicinity. i do not know though if it was a single object or many.

Irregular shape with twinkling lights.

I walked to my backyard and in the sky to the west I saw what looked like a bunch of twinkling christmas lights in a sort of v pattern. The lights blinked one at a time in a racing pace. There was no pattern to the blinking. There was no sound from this object. After watching it for about 5 minutes I noticed an airplane coming past it from the south-there was no similarity. I watched it for about 15 minutes(until I could no longer see it). Actually, I couldn't really tell if it was a v. The lights were spaced in an irregular formation. I would say that the space between these lights were probably 1/3 of the size of the moon, and there were many lights. Since the pattern of the blinking was so irregular, it was hard for me to figure out the shape-I do know that it was not in the shape of an airplane, helicopter, or blimp. When I first noticed it I was approximately a half mile from it.

Saw what looked at first to be a commet untill it lost its tail and let out strange colored smoke then moved up and west very fast.

A friend of mine was driving me home. When we got to my house there is this loght that looked like a low flying commet.It was small and slow moving. And I could tell that this was low enough to be in our atmosphere. Then the tail began to get smaller untill the tail was gone. the object of light that it now had became. It had been travling from south to north basicly moving along the valley. Then it left some dark blue smoke and a single puff of green smoke. Then it moved up and west over the moutains meacke very small fast. and dissaperd into the sky.

Driving in truck on Rt2 East through Greenfield. The Sky illuminated bright green. Immediately after a falling greenish object was seen through left window (driving.) The object fell behind the treeline and there was no impact witnessed.

Never saw a craft. Lights flashing throughout the house.

I don’t know the exact year or month and day. I was staying at my dad‘s house for the weekend in Greenfield Indiana in the country. It was an old farmhouse my dad and stepmom were at work my stepbrother was gone with his friends at home it was just me and my stepsister I was upstairs in her bedroom and she was in the bathroom taking a bath. Suddenly light began to shine through the window upstairs like dozens of flashlight beams it scared me so I ran downstairs to find my stepsister when I came down the stairs the lights were flashing through every window on every side of the house this was a very old farmhouse with a lot of windows and they were open because it was summer . There is no way anyone could have done this it would’ve taken 50 people outside the house but there was no sound there was no people. I never went to the window to look outside. I ran to the bathroom and got Sherry out of the bathtub and she got dressed as fast She could. I left her in the bathroom to get dressed and went into the kitchen in the backside of the house it spanned the whole backside. There’s a section where it used to be an enclosed porch but they made it an addition onto the kitchen so on the outside of the windows there are steps leading up but it is a half wall with windows all around so the steps don’t lead up to a door anymore on the outside they are just there. I went into the kitchen and I looked over that direction and at the exact spot where those steps are there was an aliens face looking at me, the usual big head big eyes and I was so scared I squeezed in between the refrigerator and the deep freeze and hunker down. We had a Doberman and I don’t remember him barking but I was so scared and it’s been so long ago that I can’t remember that part of it but when Sherry got dressed we grabbed the dog Jody and ran out as fast as we could to my dad‘s pick up truck at that time we never saw anything no people no craft no noise but we drove straight to the Greenfield Police Department. The police officer came back and checked the house and said there was nothing. All I remember of it. But to this day I don’t know if the Greenfield Police Department has a record of it or other people saw anything but I know what I saw . And I know it was real

Bright Spherical light seen over Hancock County field, disappears

I was very young when this happened but the event was witnessed by three other people including my mother, my older sister, and my older brother.

In the evening hours roughly between 8:00 and 9:00 P.M. in the summer of 1980 or 81 (the year is sketchy for me because I was only about 5 years old at the time) My mother, brother and I were on our way to pick up my older sister from a friends house on the backroads of Hancock County, Indiana. It was only a few miles from home on the way back when my mother stopped the car and turned off the motor and began frantically rolling down the window.

My brother and I were in the backseat and my sister had shotgun. My brother and I enquired as to why we stopped and my mother told us to look through the windshield directly in front of us. Upon looking ahead all four of us saw what appeared to be a large round white light moving very slowly and low to the ground from right to left crossing the road in front of us.

My mother was trying to get the window down to see if it made a noise, it appeared not to. When it finally reached the other side of the road above a field the object blinked out like someone flipping a switch and as quick as it appeared it was gone. We were all in awe and a little frightened by this.

We did not report this to anyone outside our family, my mother being worried we might become the town kooks or something but we found out later we were not the only ones who witnessed this object. Apparently a farm family had a terrifying experience a little earlier that evening and had reported it to some sort of investigators I am not sure who, and a burned circular imprint was found in a field close to the family's farm.

To the best of my recollection this object somewhat harrassed the family by hovering near the home for quite a long time. I believe this sighting was reported and could maybe be found in some Greenfield newspaper archives. I have always wanted to report this sighting because the farmer family were not the only witnesses to this astonishing occurence.

Three lights in the shape of a triangle.

I was looking at this web sight for the first time and saw an event entered 5/1/2005 that must be the same event that I experienced. The writer dated the event 5/12/1980 but said he wasn't sure. I think the event was approximately September of 1978 or 1979. I was 16 or 17 and driving home from work on interstate 70. I was headed east from Indianapolis to Greenfield.

I would say somewhere between the Mt. Comfort Rd. exit and the Greenfield exit, I saw 3 lights in a triangular shape. The lights were primarily white but I do remember some occasional red and blue. It would have been around 9:15 based on where I was on my trip home. The lights moved in relation to each other and formed different sizes of the same triangle. I exited interstate 70 at Greenfield and turned north on highway 9. I then went approximately 1 mile until I reached 300 north and turned west. (I was still headed home) Very shortly after I turned onto 300 north, I could see something above me. I have always described it as a "density". It was too close above me to make out a shape. When I looked up, it was big enough that I couldn't see sky on any side of the object. I have also always said it was probably bigger that two 2 story houses. I have also said it would be like standing under a large passenger jet, that is on the ground, and looking up. You could just see the underneath. I couldn't see the lights at that time and I could not make out the color of the object, just that there was something above me. There was no sound. I am guessing this lasted for just a few seconds until I drove past it. I went home and made it by my normal time which was approximately 9:30. I told my parents and they could tell I was visibly excited. The next morning, I was sitting in my high school home room and they came over the intercom and said the National Enquirer was in the office and wanted to interview anyone having seen a UFO. I did not go because I was too embarrassed to get up in front of the home room. I do not know if anybody went. That evening, the Greenfield Daily Reporter ran a front page article. In that article, it reported finding markings in a field. These markings were found somewhere on the opposite side of highway 9 than I had turned. I turned to the west of 9 and these were found on the east of 9 and at about the same area as 300 north. I feel it must have been headed east when I saw it. I match my dates due to where I was working. I really felt it was in the fall because of feeling new in the home room class. I did go back to the Hancock County Library a couple of years ago and tried to find the paper. I was unable to find any article, but I did concentrate on the fall only. I will make an attempt to go back soon and start checking all of 1978 and 1979. I will also check to make sure that all of the papers are there.

Large cigar-shaped object moving in an unusual way.

Though some time has gone by, this is my story...

I know it's been a while back that my sighting took place, but the experience has always stayed clear in my head. With it being in the 1970's when it happened, I did not know of any one to tell and that was way before computers.

I was in my 20's and living with my mother at the time. We lived about 5 miles from the nearest town. She was gone that day. I was an average country boy, no drugs, very limited drinking.

It was a very clear day, bright sunshine, no wind, unusually still. I decided to lay in the sun out next to a small pond that was about a quarter of a mile from our house. The pond was surrounded by a wheat field and there were no trees near it.

I had just gotten comfortable on my back lying on a towel near the water. I closed my eyes and shortly after doing so I opened them because something briefly blocked the sun.

When I looked up there was a large cigar shaped object, dark grey or black that had just passed over me. It was amazing! I kept my eyes on it as I stood up. I did not see any windows, no lights, just a large dark cigar shape slowly passing over in absolute silence. From its appearance to its movement, nothing about it looked familiar. I wasn't afraid, but I was so curious and shocked by what I was looking at that I ran to follow it as far as I could, but couldn't keep up. It stayed ahead of me passing over our house. The house was 2 story and the object was either very low or very large because it didn't appear to be very high above the house & trees.

It's difficult to explain its movement because it didn't spin nor did it move like a balloon or airplane.

Movement was - Imagine dangling a pole with cord tide in the middle of it. The pole is suspended vertically. Then you tap one end of the pole to make it turn.
