Red orb traveling in a Southerly direction over central Arnold Mo

I was sitting outside at approximately 9:15 pm and witnessed a bright red orb, a single steady red light at what I guess was 8,000 to 10,000 ft elevation. It slowed, stopped then blinked out. The red lighting was greater than that of airplane lights with no blinking. Its rate of travel was greater than that of airplane traffic and flying in the opposite direction of any traffic that I have ever witnessed. The duration of my sighting was roughly one minute from spotting it to its blinking out. There had been cloud cover off and on but at this moment the sky was very clear with bright starlight. Within less than 10 minutes of the sighting I heard a low flying helicopter not too different from the sound of military helicopters. What made that so odd for me was that I could not hear its approach nor its departure, just the low rotor thump for about 10 seconds.

I just left the house for work, driving eastward toward Saint John's catholic church, when out of my left peripheral I saw something moving through the tree line, when it appeared directly in front of me, I saw a sphere shape silverish object, spinning and reflecting light. When it stopped above the church, I decided to record, then it just glided off. I sure would like to know what it was.

I was taking out the recycle bin when I happened to look up. What I saw was something I have seen before. - Conventional technology can't explain this. I saw a light that looked like a really bright star going fast that did a 90 degree turn without slowing down. That qualifies as a UFO.

The object looked like a triangle, 3 bright white lights were on the ends of the aircraft, it looked like it was heading to Scott AFB.

There was a triangle flying in the sky, roughly 1000 feet in the air, with 3 bright white spotlights on the underside, one on the front of the aircraft and 2 in the aft on the wingtips. The aircraft was flying at what looked like 100 miles per hour (160.9 kilometers per hour) to 150 miles per hour (241.4 kilometers per hour) The plane body itself was black. It looked like it was heading towards Scott Air Force Base. The plane was about 100 feet long (front to rear) and 50 to 70 feet wide. (Wing-tip to wing-tip) The planes were levelled off at what looked like 1200 feet after I first saw them. They left a white trail that slowly expanded over time.

Six Traveled west to east, bright to dim as they traveled overhead.

My neighbor called me outside and said something was strange in the night sky, I looked toward the west and a bright light (red at first) was traveling west to east. As it traveled overhead it became less bright and almost dark. When that one disappeared another came from the west exactly like the first. The traveled west to east and dimmed as the went overhead. There was no sound to them, and one actually seemed to go a bit to the left and back the the right, but just a small variation. My neighbor said there was a total of six and I witnessed two myself.

70’ saucer sat above my neighbor’s house.

For what it’s worth, I thought I’d try making a submission.

Stepped onto the front porch, yesterday morning, to retrieve the paper. So there, across the street, suspended above the neighbor’s house, was a flat circular disc. The underside of this thing, and it was probably seventy feet in diameter, was flat, and perfectly smooth, and dark gray in color. The topside, however, rose from the outer rim to a smooth dome. I guess you could say that it was shaped like a sand dollar.

I couldn’t tell if this thing was metallic, or some other material. As I said, the underside was a dusky gray, while the top was a lighter gray color. As well, this thing looked like it was stuck against the sky. I mean, it wasn’t flying, or hovering, and I wasn’t aware of any sound, an engine sound, or some kind of propulsion system.

So what do you do? I picked up the paper and walked back to the house, to the kitchen, where I casually poured myself a cup of coffee. Honestly, I wondered if I should call my neighbor and let him know that there was this disc, which sat fifty, or so, feet above his house.

As it was, I stepped into the living room and pulled the drapes... and wouldn’t you know, this thing wasn’t there, which left me thinking, so it’s going to be one of those kind of days. The sighting, the initial sighting, followed by the trip to the kitchen, and pulling the drapes, took about fifteen minutes.

10-4-2019 Round silver object flew up to & near plane in the sky. 10 seconds later it flew away st the speed of sounds & disappeared

Looking over my parents house I saw a Airplane flying straight up into the sky with the white streak of smoke behind it. As I was watching it because it was going at such a straight up position I saw something fly towards the plane at a speed of light speed. It stopped near the plane in the air. The sun reflected in it for a few seconds so I could see it was round and silver color. It stayed near the plane for about 10 seconds then it flew off so fast, with the speed of sound and it disappeared into the sky. It absolutely could not have been anything else.

I went to my car in the parking lot at the local school that sits at a higher elevation than the surrounding area. I had to retrieve items I had forgotten to get as election judge that day.

The sun was low on the horizon & the sky above was very dark. As I looked towards the East I saw a disk that was stationary in the sky with red, blue and green flashing lights, not wavering or making a sound. I estimate it was 400 ft. above ground.

I watched as long as I had time thinking it was a helicopter but, this looked like nothing like that for it had a reflective surface. Very unusual experience.

As the wife and I were traveling down Hwy 61/67 south, I noticed a bright white light off to the east well above the tree line. I pointed it out to my wife who exclaimed that the light was brighter than any star shed ever seen and joked that it was a "meteor". It had no other lights and had actually sat perfectly still for about 90 seconds before it just disappeared from sight by accelerating upward so fast there was only a quick white streak of light that we both could see .

Two bright lights sit in sky at strange position then disappear, Arnold, MO.

It was about 7:15pm Wed Oct 18th. I picked my daughter up from work and we were headed back to our house. Our neighborhood is in a pretty populated area of town. Our street is dark though, it's a small road leading into our neighborhood and it sits up high on a hill overlooking the rest of the town.

I turned left into the subdivision we can see down a large hill and lots of sky. It is a great spot, very open and expansive. The reason I explain all of this is to show that I have a great view of alot of sky at this vantage point. It was very dark at this time, no moon there is airplane and helicopter traffic out in the distance, that is normal so I didn't at first think to much of it.

But what caught my eye that made me stop in the middle of the street was two round very super bright lights in the sky to my left. They were just sitting there at a strange angle. Not a normal angle though, not a star or plane, they two were completely stationary. My daughter is 17, I said don't those lights look super odd. She agreed and added that it almost looked like there was a circle around them. I am now kicking myself for not grabbing my phone, we both were almost frozen looking at these lights.

I scanned the sky nothing was moving around it. Then all of a sudden the best way I can describe this is the two anglular lights moved away from us. Like they slowly disappeared into the sky. As to explain like it took off slowly but was enveloped by the sky. It did not go left or right or at any angle but forward into the dark. I hope I have described what I saw well. Was it quick? but felt like an eternity. We both were screaming how it was disappearing. Then it was gone. We sat there for another minute and I looked all over the sky, but didn't see anything else. I will never forget it!

Small light seen traveling south, then disappears.

Happened when I was taking my dogs for a walk. I was looking up towards the west and saw a tiny light, about the size of what a star would be. This small light was hard to see, but it was steadily moving southbound. From my point of view, the object probably moved south about the distance of my hand if I held it up.

As it continued south, it kept getting harder and harder to see. Eventually I lost track of the object, or could no longer see it. It looked as though whatever it was must have been very far away. No blinking lights, no noise, just a small light moving across a small section of the sky.

Spotted a bright orange, burning fireball heading northeast.

At 9:47 CDT Sunday, July 26, 2015, my wife and I had just sat down to watch television. We reside in Arnold, MO, approximately 25 miles south of downtown St. Louis.

The windows on the back of our home face north. The ceilings are 18’ tall and the windows are floor to ceiling.

As soon as I sat down, I looked out the top window and noticed a bright orange object in the sky that almost appeared to be on fire. From where we are, we can see the flight path to Lambert International Airport. This was definitely not an aircraft.

This object appeared to be the size of a distant planet. It was moving in an upward motion, from the southeast to the northwest. It stayed in the sky for approximately 2 ½ - 3 minutes and then disappeared into the clouds.

My wife called her sister, who lives next to us, and told her to go on her deck to see the object. She also witnessed what we saw.

2 gigantic crafts with dim red lights in Arnold, MO.

Driving home from the grocery store with my two children.My son (8 years old) noticed it first, asking me what was in the sky. I looked up and saw a series of dim red lights that appeared to make a gigantic rectangle. I pulled over to get a better look and it became obvious that the hovering lights were actually one unit. i knew this because they moved in sync.It seemed like I could almost see the craft as it came a little closer. It gracefully went straight up in the air and disappeared. During this time I was noticing a second craft following towards it from the Noth east. It looked the same, but I couldn't see it as well because of the tree lines.

In relevance to where this happened, I was on Richardson Rd in Arnold, MO, approaching the highway 55 acceleration ramp. The crafts were above Home Depot and Defense Mapping. I would say that the crafts were every bit as big as a football field, if not bigger. This was a positive sighting.

Me and my kids watched in disbelief for roughly 5 minutes. I came straight home to Google it because I'm sure that we are not the only people to see this. That is when I found this site

Silent triangle spotted while leaving for work early in the morning.

Leaving for work at usual time. 0430. I am a Fireman, and was putting my gear in my truck. I noticed three white lights in the sky. Not unusual, as I live about 20 miles from BWI airport and can see the flight path of landing planes. I don't really know why, but I looked up again and could clearly make out the shape of a large triangle.

It was a clear sky and cold out, about 30 degrees. I live next to the woods and it seemed to be right over the treeline. If I had to guess, I would say it was about 40 feet long. The lights remained on, did not flash, were white and did not look like search lights, more like a marker light you would see on a boat. It did not make any jet or plane like noises. It was silent. Looked like it was just floating along like a blimp.

Clear starry night, the object was a reddish color, and moved extremely fast through the sky.

The object was very high up, and to the naked eye, looked like a red star accelerating at a high speed.

It of course was not moving as fast as a shooting star, but roughly 7 to 10 times faster than a conventional airplane moving through the sky at night.

Blue orb hovered over a tree, 2 doors down from my house in Arnold, MO

I was up late, as usual. I often look out my back window at an intriguing light that I see in the distance regularly. Sometimes it is there, other times it is not.

Last night, it was there, so I watched it out my deck door. As I watched it, it started moving closer, and fast. It came al the way to my neightbor's house, two doors down. It hovered over the tree. It was a huge blue starlight orb. It had fuzzy edges that almost appeared as a fiberoptic matter. It stayed over the tree. It made no sounds. It didn't really "flash lights," but the whole item appeared as one HUGE light orb...with twinkly edges. It was about the size of the top of the massive tree. When it started moving, I ran to look out of my front window. My visibility is awful, and I didn't see it, but I did see the reflection of flashing lights on the house across the street.

I also saw what appeared to be a bunch of lights, similar the this one in the distance, all moving jaggedly--there were about 5 others straight ahead and small and distant.

This morning, the tree top was a bit brown, and not green like the rest of the tree.

I am not sure if this is related, or not--but this morning, my garage door closed itself. Also, I had a V-shape in dust on my hood and strange handprints all over my car--not sure if this was related, or not--when you see what I saw, you begin to believe in anything being possible. I took pics of the dust marks on my car...I will email them.

I googled the sighting, but found no others like mine--however, there was a helicopter (this afternoon)hovering in the same path as the object was last night, over the tree and where it came from.

Multiple UFO identified late evening in Anrold Missouri, exhibited no sound, moving in sync with each other, multiple orbs, triangle

On the night of June 1st 2012 in Arnold Missouri sometime between 8:30pm and 10:00pm there were several UFOs witnessed by myself, my girlfriend, and 4 neighbors.

The sighting first started with one object that was pointed out by my neighbor. It looked like a helicopter that had 3 different lights blinking on the back, middle, and front, all blinking randomly. We had thought it might have been a helicopter on fire. It had a somewhat long oval shape and it made no sound.

While we were observing the first object, my girlfriend, neighbor, and his mother accompanied me to the middle of the street to get a better view (because there was tree obstruction). Once we got to the middle of the street we saw another set of objects (3) moving from left to right at the same speed and keeping the same distance from each other. These objects however did not seem to be as close to us as the first object.

At this time the rest of the neighbors came out, and more objects kept coming into view. I wasn't sure if they were suddenly appearing or have been traveling for some time as the treeline was still obscuring some of the view. The objects all had a white with orange tint to them. They still seemed to have a blinking type of flickering to them in some way (similar to the first object sighted). The objects all seemed to be independent of each other, but noticed near the end of the sighting ( where my video starts) one object pattern had the classic triangle shape. It moved also at the same speed as the other objects.

The objects all seemed to have suddenly just went out at around the same area in the sky as they kept passing from left to right. (not sure of the cardinal directions) No flickering, or fading, just suddenly gone. However each light seemed to disappear right after one another. (which makes me think the triangle shape was not one craft) The sighting lasted for about 5 minutes. There was no sound. I cannot determine the height of the objects, but it seemed to be around the same altitude as any other normal aircraft. (which prompted me to think the first object was a helicopter as I am used to seeing lights in the sky at this distance with sound and the usual light patterns of normal aircraft.)

I have a somewhat decent video capture from my iPhone 3G of the event that lasts approx 1:34 min. I will be emailing this right away.

Static UFO deploying multiple UFO 'Scouts'?

This was very odd. My family and I were shopping in Gravois Bluffs (Feton,MO) and on our way home (about 6:30PM) we noticed in the sky many blinking lights in small groups in static formation (i.e. series of 3-5 lights in one area, not moving, but multiple groups). As I watched these groups of blinking lights I then noticed lights deploying from those area one at a time. Once deployed from those areas, they then took flight and then looked like normal airplanes at night (white/red lights). The 5 or 6 deployed "planes" scattered and seemed to 'scout' the Fenton and Arnold areas. When I arrived home (Arnold, MO), we still saw the "planes" flying around. Then one came flying over our house fairly low. This is when I started to get a little scared. The plane was low enough to see the formation of the red/white lights. The craft had 3 white lights in a triangular formation with a flashing red light in the center. There was no tail light. It sounded li! ke a prop plane but for as low as it was, it should have been much louder. After it passed over I then noticed another craft (same with white/red lights) hovering further south and at a much higher altitude. . but it was not moving. It remained stationary. After seeing all this, I started to feel very uncomfortable, and then went inside pretending I saw nothing. Then, at about 1:00AM, I heard the loudest most annoying humming droning sound ever (as if 'something' very large was hovering nearby. The hum echoed through the town and I never saw anything. . . but the noise was very clear. Needless to say, I did not get much sleep last night. If I see something activity again tonight, I'll have my phone ready to take pics. Have there been any similar reports?

A single bright white dot appeared, remained stationary for fraction of second, then shot off at incredible speed in a stream of light

I was standing outside in a church parking lot talking to a friend on the phone, facing West / Southwest and staring at a bright star or planet (possibly Venus ?) and also observing what I believed to be two planes that were slowly crossing the sky and blinking. One appeared much higher and further off than the other and was hardly moving. The closer plane appeared as a small alternating blinking green/red lights so I assume it was also far away, and it was moving at a slow pace and seemed to be moving in a North or Northwest direction.

Suddenly, a small circular dot of very bright white light appeared, seemingly out of nowhere - it did not move in from any direction. It appeared slightly above and in between the two flying objects/helicopters I had been observing.

It remained stationary for a fraction of a second, then quickly shot off at an amazing speed in the opposite direction of the lower flying object/helicopter and into a cloud. It seemed to be traveling in a South East direction. The cloud appeared to light up with a white light as the UFO went behind it. It traveled so fast that when it shot off, it only appeared as a stream of bright white light with just a hint of blue color to it. I commented to the person I was speaking on the phone with that I couldn't believe what I had just seen, and described it to them. I watched for several minutes waiting for the UFO to fly out of the cloud but never saw it exit the cloud.

I feel it's worth noting that I saw this UFO in the same community where I live and there is also a Defense Mapping compound located there. (The compound does not have an airport or landing strip - it's not large enough, however I believe it does have a helicopter landing pad.) We frequently have low flying military planes and helicopters flying overhead in this area at all times of the day and night, which we've chocked up to the Defense Mapping compound very near our home. The military air traffic has picked up significantly in the last year and we're not sure why (they don't publicize that the air traffic is related to the Defense Mapping compound or anything else about the compound, which is private and guarded, but most in the community are aware of it and aware of the unusual air traffic in an otherwise very small suburban town). There's also hospital approximately 8-10 miles away that receives airlift patients. We are very used to seeing and are familiar with planes a! nd helicopters flying overhead, day and night, at varying distances, but I've never seen anything appear like this UFO did or move at a fraction of the incredible speed or behave the way this UFO did.

On Saturday night, 6/20/09, at approximately 11:30 pm, I was sitting outside on my deck having a cigarette and saw a bright light in the sky. It was white light, bright on the bottom of the craft, but the light was not radiating downward. It seemed be flying too low to be an airplane, and as it approached (from the southeast), it was about the height of a traffic helicopter, but it was shaped like disc and larger than a helicopter.

All I could make out was the bright white light on the bottom, but I could see that it was circular in shape and had a dome on the top which was not lighted. As it neared my subdivision, it was definitely too large to be a helicopter, but it was also silent. There were no noises last night outside, not even the hums of air conditioning units. I waited about a minute to see if it was going to come closer or make a noise, and then it took a northerly direction and went over the house, out of sight.

I found it strange that it was flying so low for its size and that it was silent. We are near Scott AFB, Illinois, and planes often pass over but always make a sound of some sort. I did not wake my husband to come and see and I was afraid to run to the front of the house and keep looking for it.

One other thing; we are dogsitting this weekend and the dog was out on the deck with me when I saw this object. When the dog saw it, it ran to the sliding glass door to be let inside. I let the dog in and sat there for about another minute.

I’ve never reported anything like this, but since I did not hear of any other reportings on the local St. Louis news stations, I wanted to report it somewhere else to see if others saw what I saw. I am a 50-year old female, married with one child, and I am a business manager at a major university in St. Louis.

15 purple lights quikly change formation before vanishing.

About 15 purple lights that changed formation 3 times before they disapeared.

I was walking home from school one day when I decided to look at the sky for a moment. It was a cloudy day and the clouds were very dark. I couldnt belive my eyes. I saw about 15 bright purple lights moving very fast from the east to west. I guess maybe 600 mph. They were very high, just below the clouds and were in "c" formation for about 5 seconds. Then they made u turn and flew right over me. I expected hear a noise like a sonic boom or some thing but there was no sound. And when they turned around, they seemed to change formation at the same time and they seemed to merge together into one large bright light. This light seemed to change colors very rapidly. But as soon as they merged, they broke off into about 20 lights. They all turned to back to the original color purple when they lined up side by side. All that happened in about 5 seconds before they were suddenly engulfed by a bright blue light that came out of no where and the light slowly faded. It was completly gone after about a minute and the lights had gone with it. But the area in the clouds where they had been looked like it was glowing a purple-green color and looked like it was radiating some kind of plasma. But it only lasted a few seconds. I looked around to see if anyone else had seen it but I was the only one who had seen it. I drew a sequnce of pictures that depicted what I saw. I was to nervous to tell anyone about till now. I hope that explanes every thing.

Star-like object obeserved 3 different times travelling in different direction and pattern each time.

Sitting on my sister's deck outside watching the sky in Arnold, CA. which is in the Sierra Foothills, elevation 4000 ft.. First sighting, was an object that looked like a star crossing the sky faster and higher than an airplane with no sound and no other lights visible traveling south to north. Two of the 4 adults spotted the object. Second sighting, all four adults spotted the star-like object which appeared to come back from a north to south direction in a zig zag pattern. Third sighting, all four adults spotted this star-like object which appeared again in the sky from a west to east direction. All three sightings happened within a 20 min. interval and watched until they were no longer visible. We are four adults, 1 college student, 1 retiree, 1 San Francisco Police Detective, and 1 secretary with the MDUSD.

Strange sounding looking shade

I Was Walking to check my thermometer in my driveway It was a kind of woodsy Area I heard a sharp Shriek Very Close to me my wife came out and asked what it was i said i"I Dont know get back inside NOW " I was very frightened i looked around In the woods over the valley and saw a very dim object it was a strange color i have never seen before it was not any kind of color more like a shade I was sick to my stomache just looking at the thing in the sky about 200 yards away my wife came back out and asked what i was looking at I said "I Dont know Go back inside " it had an extremely low hum to it it was not loud just low it got the shade got brighter in a way and made the loud shriek again but it was much lower my wife thought they where fireworks but I knew it wasnt.

Three lights came out of the sky and circled and dissapeared.

My friends and I were sitting outside after just getting back from Six Flags. We were talking about the weather and how perfectly clear it was. I was looking at the starts when three of them started to move around. They eventually got bigger and bigger until it seemed like they were right on top of us. Then they even changed color from a bright white to a dark red to blue back to a dark red. There wasn't any noises that we could hear but there was a weird static electricity feeling, like having your hair stand up straight. Anyway, one of my friends passed out (I guess he was too scared) and my other friend and I leaned over to see what was wrong and when we looked back there was nothing there. I don't really know if that was considered a UFO sighting, but I can't think of anything else that would explain what happened. I've heard of ligtning balls, but they only occur when it's storming. So I hope this information is somewhat usefull.

Bright ball of light appears briefly in suburban St. Louis

We were visiting my in-laws before we moved to the area. We were driving our car north/west-bound on Miller Road on our way to dinner. It was 5:30-6:00 on a sunny day. There were cars ahead of and behind us, but not what I'd call heavy traffic. Miller Road is very hilly, and you find yourself either staring into the sky or at the ground as you go up and down the hills. We were getting some glare on the windshield from the late afternoon sun as we crested the hills.

As we reached the top of one hill, a brilliant ball of light appeared for a second or two in front of us and off to the left. It seemed to hover breifly, and then was gone. I muttered "What the hell was that?" to no one in particular - my wife and two older children heard this. I turned to my older daughter (11 at the time) who was sitting in the front passenger seat, and as if on cue she said "I don't know Dad". Iasked her what she saw, and she again said she didn't know - but added "It looked like a big ball of light". My wife, 8 y.o. son and 3 y.o. daughter were all in the back seat, and didn't see anything - at least they didn't make any comment.

About this time, a car had caught up with us, and honked at me to go. I had come to a complete stop in the middle of the road! None of the other cars I could see gave any indication that they had seen anything - they all just kept driving. I blew this incident off at the time, and my daughter and I never talked bout it afterwards. However it never seemed right, and it still bothers me. I am an engineer by vocation, and can rationalize almost everything. However this is something I have never been able to explain to myself. I'd be the first to admit it was glare off the windshield, except what I saw was off to the east side of the road.

A question, if I may... You state that you were driving to the northwest, approximately, and that the flash of light was to your left, would that ot have been in the western sky. I believe you state that the object would have to have been east of the road. I am confused by that apparent contradiction. Is there something I don't understand about the event?

Thanks, again, for the interesting report! Do you think that you might be able to pin down the precise date of the incident, if you were to think about it for a while?

Also, may I pass your report along to some skilled UFO investigators in Missouri? I think they would like to know about the event.

Summary : greenish streak traveled east to west.

during a fireworks display put on by the city of arnold, mo...which starteed about 2115 hrs after about five minutes, a bright greenish streak traveled across the sky about 6 - 8 degrees south of straight up. the streak did not go from horizon to horizon...but traveled about half the distance...in the middle. it did not appear to be a meteor..there was no trail as such..it had the same brightness and density thru out its travel..it just appeared to disappear...there was no apparent sound or other physical discription...and due to the color...many thought is was from the fireworks display..but...the arc of travel made that impossible.. ............now..................... a question for you folks. i'm 53, have a college education, been in law enforcement over 25 years. back in december, '57 maybe '58...i think either the 13th or 18th...anyhow a weekend...i was with a friend at about 2230 to 2300 hours...in St. Louis. He and I both observed a pale white enlongated object travel from west to east..no flashing lights, a steady speed across the horizon, and for teenagers, it did not appear to be extremely high in altitude...but not low to the ground. there was no sound....and it was a clear sky.. stars were visible..no clouds.....we both believed we saw a ufo...the nect day, this same.."cigar" shaped ufo was seen by other st. louisians..and also some reports of a sighting in New Mexico.. with same discription.....do you have any records of that sighting....my friend now lives in Montreal a retired US Army officer....it would be nice to have some verification..to show our kids. thanks..

a string of multicolored lights, silently gliding by above the tree tops, at 11 pm, in a high mountain town

I, a woman in my mid-thirties then, was bar-tending in Arnold, CA, at a bar called The Junction (this bar is no longer there). I closed the bar at 11pm, as per my boss's instructions. There just wasn't allot of business in this little high mountain town in the Sierra Nevadas, so we closed early. However, the bar up the road, White Pines, about 1/2 a mile, did stay open usually until 2 am, and I often went there after closing my bar.

So, this one particular night, I closed my bar as usual, and everyone else was gone by now--I was by myself, and as I was descending the broad steps to the empty parking lot where my 4 wheel drive Toyota pickup was parked, I looked up into the beautiful black night sky that was star filled, as was so often the case in this mountain town, I saw in the sky, just above the tops of the tall pines, this strange, long string of colorful lights! They were almost like a string of Christmas lights, doubled or tripled over, with a wasp-waist dip in the middle of the string.

I was just astounded! I watched from one of the steps, as the lights moved from the North to the South, slowly, but steadily. There was absolutely no sound.

I was thinking about what it could be. I went through all the possibilities in my mind, and there was nothing that could be man-made that this thing would fit. I was positive I was seeing a UFO.

It continued across the hwy, that's Hwy 4, a two lane small hwy, that was also empty of traffic, (typical at this time of night) where I got a really good look because there were no trees there to block my view, and watched as it continued across the sky over the pine tree covered hill to the South, and silently disappeared.

I started being afraid, and ran to my truck, and got in as fast as I could. Then I thought it was pretty silly to think my truck could protect me from anything as advanced as that, if they really wanted me! I started my truck, and headed to the White Pines bar, as planned. I was going to meet a friend of mine there. She was coming up from the town of Murphys, about 20 miles down the mountain to the West.

I thought to myself, "I'm not gonna say anything when I get to White Pines, they'll make fun of me!" I want you to realize that the people in this small community knew each other, and that these small town bars were where friends meet. I knew at this time of night there'd be a handful of people, who all knew me.

So I parked and went into the bar, and as my friends greeted me, I spoke out: "I just saw a UFO!" I just couldn't help myself! They did give me a bit of a bad time, but after only a short time my friend from Murphys came through the door, and she heard us talking about what I saw, and she said she'd just seen the same thing! She'd been driving up the mountain, coming to meet me, when through her windshield she saw a string of lights, moving from North to South, at a slowish speed. It also had the multiple strings, with a wasp-waist in the middle. She was driving so wasn't positive there was no sound, but she didn't hear any sound.

There was one difference in her sighting: the lights were not multicolored as I saw, but blue and white.

I was really glad to have my story corroborated! I think she was too. I was glad, after all, that I'd said something.

It's been years, this is the first time I've ever put it in writing, but it sure hasn't faded in my memory.

What appeared as head lights in sky, tryed to tell friend, couldn’t speak, pointed, felt for door handle, got out with friend, watched large, shopping center go over, large bay door on bottom, bay door large enough for commercial jet to fit in , heading to naval academy, no sound, I walked towards, and friend ask where I went to c was mad I left , butt I don’t remember getting on craft , after all was settled, next day asked friend what he saw, he said he saw a flying shopping center and not to report, because people would think we were crazy, this happened in April on 1980, this is the first time I spoke of it, in forty years, , I felt it had to be are craft, it was about ten miles from naval academy
