Object flew south to north, stopped, traced a square and then proceeded to the north

Bright small object appeared about airliner altitude. Flew south to north and abruptly stopped. 90 degree to the right (east). Another 90 degree turn to the south. Another 90 degree to the west. Traced a square shaped path, all in about one to two minutes. It stopped briefly at each corner of the square. I assumed no balloon, plane or satellite could move in that manner. It then flew out of my sight along the same south-to-north route as the original view.

The velocity seemed faster than an airliner at that altitude.

They were on the search for something I don't know they've been happening over today. They come in nightly and they're here all night

They come in about 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. when it's dark they were over heavenly Ski Resort and above ski run Boulevard down to the lake but I spotted them as far as Emerald Bay Cave Rock and Incline Village so they're everywhere over 50 I saw it was a cloudy night a little bit of rain they use the clouds as cover and they blend well with stars they look like stars and tell you really pay attention and then you can see them kind of going up down circular motions zipping quickly some steady they even appear to be sitting just above the water on the lake and I seem to be searching for something not sure what but it was a very large Gathering it seemed like they brought the whole colony I see if she thought it was going to be an invasion based on how many there were never seen anything like that in my life I have lots more videos and pictures summer too big to upload but I I have pictures and photos

Too round & bright to be a plane; it was quiet; moved slightly erractically; disappeared in a flash

I was just finishing picking-up yard debris in my backyard when my husband came outside. I mentioned how beautiful the stars were looking tonight. As I was looking up I saw what I thought was a plane but it seemed a little too bright and round to be a plane and it didn’t have the red and green blinking position lights. It was round but not perfectly round. The edges were slightly jagged. I followed it and it wasn’t moving in a straight line. It was wiggly, moving suddenly slightly to the left and then to the right. I asked my husband if I was imagining, thinking something was wrong with my eyes. He said he sees it too and mentioned that the craft wasn’t making any noise so it couldn’t be a helicopter. He exclaimed "I think it’s a UFO!" We continued watching it and as it moved further away. The brightly lit craft started to flicker then it dimmed and “poof!” In a flash, the light of the craft went-out and disappeared!

Strange blue triangle with lights appears in photo

October 8, 2018, Sighting My wife and I had finished summiting a rocky plateau past and above Eagle Lake, about 90 minutes away from the parking lot at Emerald Bay, near the southwest corner of the Lake Tahoe basin off Highway 89. It was a perfect day for hiking with sunny skies and crisp weather in the upper 50's. On our way down, we stop to chat with some backpackers who were making their way up the trail. While I and the other guy were wrapping up hiking talk, his partner said to me and my wife, "I have to show you something". She pointed toward the West where the sun was just above the ridge, and there seemed to be a huge number of floating spider webs that you could see when the sunlight hit them at the right angle. I though at first there had to be hundreds if not thousands of spiders on this one prominent tree alone to account for all the glimmering threads we saw. It almost didn’t make sense as there were webs radiating all around, not only streaming off the tree. I didn’t think I ! could capture what I saw on my iPhone but I snapped off one shot anyway. The photo shows the time as 3:51 pm. We parted ways and were still astounded at the sheer volume of these floating and streaming gossamer threads in the sky, neither one of us having witnessed that before. Later in the hotel room I was uploading the photos of the day to my wife's iPhone and to my iPad when we discovered the object in the upper right corner of the frame. Somewhat coincidentally, both of us had thoughts of a UFO in the area without saying anything to each other until we saw this image later on the iPad.

As we drove to the restaurant for dinner, I began to have an old memory from years before of reading about a connection between some UFO sightings and "angel hair" being seen at the same time. I told my wife about this and we were still in a state of wonder over what, if anything, had taken place above that ridge.

Bright pulsating light that was met up or buzzed by secondary craft.

I was driving down the street I live on heading north, I noticed a abnormally bright light that was pulsating straight ahead.

I pulled over to get a better look. While watching some kind of object that had a flashing light came from above at a very high rate of speed and either buzzed past at very close range or met up with the bright object because I could not see where it went because of the large bright object.

After approx ten minutes, the large bright object began moving south at a high rate of speed until I could not see it any longer.

UFO captured in hiker's photo in South Lake Tahoe

As I was looking over the photos I had taken while hiking in Van Sickle Bi-State Park, I noticed a UFO in the sky in one of my photos. I did not see the object "live", I only noticed it after the fact. I also took a 2nd photo that was identical in composition to the UFO-bearing photo just a few seconds later. There was no UFO in the 2nd photo.

Both photos bear the time stamp of 1:35PM. It was a bright and sunny afternoon. There were a few other hikers in the area, but the park was largely empty while I was hiking.

The UFO in my photo is somewhat rectangular, with a black bottom, silver sides, and an antenna coming out of the top. There is also a bright circle of light on the underside of the UFO.

hovering then moving very bright white oval w/red light ball

approximately at 7:20 pm tonight,i walked outside on my porch to have a smoke and looked to my se and observed a very bright oval shaped object with pulsating white and a little red light,at first hovering in one spot for approx.10 mins. and then it proceeded to almost rock back and forth in a horizontal line rt over the mountain top.it then proceeded to move north very slowly stopping ever so often and then eventually picked up alot more speed and continued north until i lost site of it.this was an extremely bright white light w/no blue marking lights,just pulsating red every now and then.(not consistent).shortly after to my south i observed a satellite to my south moving east.but that was not the object we saw prior. i have never and either have the others that witnessed this object have ever seen anything of this nature.

Mothers Day 2012 Fireball sighting over Lake Tahoe

Mother’s Day weekend 2012: We were visiting South Lake Tahoe CA. We stayed at a hotel right on the lake. We checked into the hotel around 10:00pm. The first thing we did when we got into the room is check out the view from the balcony. My boyfriend saw it first, and pointed at this orange ball in the sky over the lake. It was moving towards the other side of the lake. I was freaking out and desperately trying to figure out how to take a video or picture on my phone, but couldn’t figure it out. Then it just got smaller and disappeared into the distance. This all happened in less than a minute. A weird coincidence is that we went to dinner earlier and there was broken glass all over my seat and I cut my figure. Now my left index figure has a triangle shaped scar right below my figure nail. It always reminds me of what we saw.

Spherical metallic UFO spotted in Lake Tahoe Ca

I was down by Lake Tahoe on the southern side taking pictures of the sunset. This is something I do quite often since I moved to Lake Tahoe. As I was standing there on the beach I noticed a small very spherical object moving awkwardly around the clouds. It looked metallic which is why I believe it was so shinny because the sunset was reflecting off the metallic surface. Initially the brightness of the object caught my attention but then I realized that this object was moving much faster than a plane and in any direction without losing speed. I watched this object for about a minute while I was trying to zoom my camera in close enough to get a good photo of it. I managed to get one clear picture of the object. I didn't see it leave the area. I looked up from the LCD screen of my digital camera after I tried to take a picture of it and it was just gone.

Scenic photo taken by me looking in a SW direction from Harrah's (Lake Tahoe NV.)18th floor "Forest Buffet" at 14:32 on 11/10/06.

My camera was set to 10.2mp quality, 1/250 shutter speed.

We had just finished lunch and I went to the SW corner of the building to take a few photos of the lake and surrounding mountains. I didn't notice anything unusual going on at the time I took the photo. It was when I got home while looking at the photos I took earlier in the day that I noticed a spec in sky at the far left edge of the photo in question, which was located just above the water line.

Looking at the photo in FULL scale mode, for the life of me, I can not identify that circular shaped object in the sky. The object is over the California side of the SW corner of the lake.

When I push the photo past FULL SCALE 3x, and even though the photo is somewhat pixilated at that scale, the object is very unusual indeed. This may sound strange but to be perfectly honest with you, I think it takes on the characteristics of one of our lunar landing modules. That's what it reminds me of anyway.

Para-sailing (sp?) is a popular sport in SLT, but not in November, and besides, there are no boats below or within in a reasonable distance from the object. There is one moving boat way off to the right of the object but it is going in the wrong direction (looking at the boat water trail) to be pulling that object.

I kind of ruled out a helicopter as the photo was taken at 1/250 of a second and there seems to be no rotor blur above the object. Not even the slightest discoloration shadow of rotor can be noticed. And, for sure, this object does not have a fixed wing set.

I am absolutely baffled by this object in the sky, no apparent wings and no apparent rotor set and certainly does not appear to be in tow. What the heck is it? I will be sending you the image, right from the compact flash card in my camera with full EXIF info in tact.

We back packed into Desolation Wilderness 07-03-2006. On 07-04-2006 we hiked to the top of Mount Tallac 9735 feet. After setting up camp, I started taking pictures of the surrounding area. My wife noticed a stranged formation in the clouds across from us. A brown triangle shape formation. We shot several still photos of the object within a ten minuted window. Then shot an after object photo. The object seemed to not move as the clouds passed over it. I have sent the photo to a editor for magnification.

Bright light over South Lake Tahoe, CA

I went out onto an upstairs balcony for some air and noticed a very bright light, low in the Western sky, over Echo Summit in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It was too large and much too bright and in the wrong place to be a star or planet and it was relatively stationary. As I watched it began to move slightly down and to the right and then it remained stationary once again. It was not blinking or 'twinkling', though the light appeared to shine much like a diamond. There was no sound. I called to everyone else who was home at the time to come and look at it. They saw it move as well. When videotaped, the object appeared to grow larger and smaller, though we think it was just becoming brighter/dimmer and it was difficult to see what it was since the night was very dark and there was no other stationary frame of reference for the camera. When viewed through binoculars the shape was spherical, rather violet in color with rotating green rings about it with a slight red/orange trail. We called some friends, who lived in other areas nearby, but a few miles away to ask if they could see it as well - which they could. We sat watching it for some time, while it continued to 'hover' and move slightly up, down, left and right. It (very) slowly began moving West and then disappeared at around 10:30pm.

Large bright white circular object travelling in a straight line at a low angle to the horizon which emitted a pendant shaped gas emiss

I really don't know what I saw. However it appeared moving at a fairly rapid speed at a low angle along the horizon (the horizon in this case was a mountain ridge behind my home), the size of the object must have been substantial, it was 3/4 mile away or more, was a very bright white and easily visible. About half way through the observation where was a pendant shaped irredescent (light red to blue) expulsion from the object (like a trail or gas explosion) which only lasted a moment, while the object continued on as it had originally appeared then disappeared behind the ridge.

It was flying in a straight line at a low angle to the horizon. My initial thought was space junk or a fireball (bolide) but the size of it (or it may have been highly heated and just looked big?)didn't seem consistent. If it was that big there would have been an explosion or hit someplace?? Anyway the strangest thing I have ever seen in the sky. I have a masters degree in the physical/earth sciences. I have talked to a relative in the Air Force who launches satellites about space junk as a possibility--he says it wasn't junk. E

Triangle fades into a tear in space

My brother and I were camping on the Rubicon trail off icehouse road near Loon Lake, there where clear skies that night, when we were star gazing, we saw three, lights in the shape of a triangle, I pick up my Binoculars, i follow the lights for about 3 to five min, the lights were about the same brightness as the stars around, so it was hard to spot, but because it was moving very slowly we able to track it. There was no sound what so ever coming from it. My brother told me if i could see the stars between the lights, I seem too be able to see the stars but it seem blurry when viewing the light between the three point of lights on each corner point. as it moved forward i can tell that the lights on the back (two on back one in front)were close together , to form a narrow type of triangle, not a true pyramid shape. It disappear, not like vanish but like it went behind something. Like the front of the triangle disappeared first and then the rest followed, like it went into a hole in space slowly passing into it. Then after it was gone we saw another slow moving single light follow it and disappeared in the same spot in the sky. Shortly after that we saw anther light, orange in color, it seem to move erratic, like it was flapping, with wings we watch that disappear in another place in the sky, not like it went out of site it just seem to fade away... I do not know if it was related to what we saw.

A bright object very high in the sky which moved too fast to be a manmade craft, zig zaged like a bug and was bigger than a planet appe

A movement of what looked like a star caught my eye in the sky just west of Lake Tahoe at about 12:20pm. I and friend watched it for about 40 minutes. It was brighter than a star or a planet, and larger than both. It was very high but looked like it was in our atmosphere. You could not see a shape to the craft but it did appear to have lights that changed colors from different greens to blues and purples. The glow to a star is hazy, but on this craft it seemed to have beams of light projecting out that moved in a circle. The craft moved like nothing I had ever seen manmade. It stayed in a general area, but moved as a bug would, zig zag motions. It moved incredibly fast from spot to spot, stopping occasionally, and then continuing to move. We stopped watching the craft after it seemed to stop moving for about 10 minutes. We checked the next night at the same time but the craft was not there in relation to two stars it had stayed with in a changing triangular shape.

Southwest of Lake Tahoe- a large, bright neon green fireball suddenly appeared high above the gap between two mountains and vanished.

I was 19 and traveling up to Lake Tahoe in a carpool for skiing. It was in 2000, so the events aren't exactly fresh in my mind. We took the highway from San Francisco which was our origin and made the most direct route to Lake Tahoe. I do not know the name of the highway. I had just returned from a long stay in Hawaii and answered an ad on craigslist.org-san francisco posted by a business professional seeking someone to drive up to Lake Tahoe with him and save on fuel. We must have been about 30-40 miles outside of Lake Tahoe and it was dark in the sky already. The time I gave above is an estimate. We left San Francisco around 5 PM. We must have been about 30-40 miles outside of Lake Tahoe.

***In front of us was the highway stretching through the valley, a space between two mountains. We were heading North, or Northeast and in that same direction, high up in the sky between, but definitely much higher than the two mountains we both saw a large, bright neon green fireball suddenly appear and then quickly vanish. It streaked for a few seconds, possibly leaving a slight green trail, like a tail of a comet. The business man I was with did not want to talk about it and neither did I because I was quite scared. I had never seen anything like that in my life-not even on TV. I would like to know if what I saw was a meteor, or what? I have told many people about this event in these past years, but only as an amusing anecdote. It is only until now that I heard of a way to officially report this after listening to Peter Davenport on Coast to Coast AM.

16 Sept 99 5:11 P.M. After hearing Ron (sic) Davenport this afternoon, on the local radio station in Nevada City, CA (KVMR-FM), I decided to give my account of the sighting on 01 Sept 99. Being fairly isolated up on this mountain, I had been wondering if anyone else saw what I saw that evening in the northern sky. Here's the account, word for word, that I wrote the morning of 03 Sept 99 in my journal. Having heard the show, I now think my timing is off for the duration of the event.....having believed it was a group of meteorites when I wrote the following, and couldn't imagine such an event taking longer than 12-14 seconds to traverse that expanse of the horizon. It's easy to lose an accurate sense of time at moments like this. Written on Friday morning, 03 Sept 99 "It was one of two things. I convinced myself they were probably man-made, but now I suspect otherwise. Around 9:30 p.m., after the Drew Carey Show, I went out to ((deleted)) for a change. Looking up in the NNW sky, just below the Big Dipper, marched a gang of light trails headed eastward. I couldn't believe what I was seeing at first.....one of those wonderful all-too-rare gapes. (I think it may have something to do with the surprise of finding myself at the right place - at the right time. Sad, that.) The motion was steady, but slower than most, if not all, meteorites I've seen before....and so many all together at once. At least eight, four in the front group, were visible during the last couple of seconds, which I viewed with the binocs. I wanted to dash for them sooner, but stood transfixed, unwilling to take my eyes off something so amazing for the first 8-10 seconds. As they seemed to head toward Reno, I took a chance, got the binocs, and watched them 'flame-out' one by one. It's through the binocs that I counted the eight.....there could have been a couple more in the progression, earlier. The duration caused me to suspect military craft of some sort, that didn't want to be seen as they approached Reno, so perhaps they cut their engines one by one and flew in a slightly disarrayed order to throw off any observers, and glided back to some secret place in the Nevada desert. But if they were aircraft, they moved fast, albeit subsonic, and the lit-up trails of gas are something I've never seen before at night. Could the smoke particles that have been lingering for over a week cause that? Went out again the next night (02Sept99), and noticed another meteorite lower to the horizon, redder, a little faster and only a few seconds in duration.....but definitely a meteorite. So I've changed my mind....from a conspiricy of craft, to a cluster of rocks....maybe billions of years old, coming into land. So incredibly better than a movie." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A couple of notes in retrospect......using the Osborne Firefinder (using true N), I later approximated the portion of the horizon from when I first noticed the objects, to the time of 'flame out', to go from ~330° to ~80° from my position, or about a 110° span. A very rough guess, but they seemed to be approximately 7° vertical from the mountaintop when due N. The mention of smoke above refers to the large fires that had been raging on the Plumas N.F. for the prior week. I thought perhaps some of the particles might have scattered higher into the atmosphere and caused the light trails, but evidently not if others saw the trails prior to the objects reaching the Sierras. I believe the trails were rather greenish in color, though I'm not sure I trust my hindsight on that. I now believe the duration of the sighting was probably closer to 30 seconds, but still don't quite understand what I was looking at. Were all those objects with light trails, F-15's with afterburners on, as was mentioned in the radio show? Were there really at least eight of them? In any case, it still gives me goosebumps when I recall the amazement of the moment. Now if I can only figure out how to be in the right-place-at-the-right-time more often.......…

They seemed nice and didn't want to hurt anybody. They were just curious. I was to frightened to speak. They didn't speak. I didn't talk about it at all until now. The spacecraft changed to any shape it wanted to. It was about 30 feet long by 30 feet. and about 10 feet tall. First it was a saucer. Then it was a spacecraft like a ship from startrek.

@ approx. 4;30 AM MY SISTER IN LAW WAS UP DOING SOME LATE NIGHT PAPER WORK WHEN HER ATTENTION WAS GOTTEN BY A BRIGHT LIGHT IN THE SKY. AS SHE WENT TO THE WINDOW SHE SAW THIS LIGHT DECEND THEN HOVER. IT MADE NO NOISE AND HAD A BRIGHT RED LIGHT IN THE CENTER. SHE WATCHED AS IT MOVED OFF AND DISAPEARED. 10 MINS. LATER SHE WAS SHOCKED WHEN A WHITE LIGHT COMPLETELY ENGULFED THE HOUSE AND YARD. THE LIGHT MADE HER HAIR STAND UP!! SHE WENT TO THE BEDROOM TO WAKE MY BROTHER AND HE WOKE UP TO SEE THE LIGHT DEPARTING. MY SISTER IN LAW CLEARLY STARTLED CHECKED ON HER YOUNG CHILD AND FOUND EVERY THING NORMAL THESE PEOPLE WERE SOME OF THE MOST SKEPTICAL PEOPLE @ UFO,S UNTIL NOW.THEY TOLD ME ABOUT IT BECAUSE OF MY PAST EXPERIENCES WITH THE SUBJECT.MY NIECE TELLS THEM SHE SEES THEM ALL THE TIME ( NO BIG DEAL !! ) ?????

Summary : A "formation" of very bright lights passing very slowly and silently overhead. Must have been enormous. Biggest and most unusual thing I have ever seen.

I am writing about a "phenomenon" that I witnessed that was unlike anything I've ever seenbefore, so I guess it would fall under the description of a "UFO". As a scientist with areasonable understanding of astronomy and meteorology, and with an equally good knowledgeof aircraft (both military and civilian), I can safely say that what my colleague and I witnessedwas something that I'm sure would not fall into most of the easily explainable categories. On aclear night during the Memorial Day weekend (24th of May), I saw something that lookedabsolutely enormous moving across the sky in a westerly direction. Since all I could see werethe lights to this thing (very bright white lights), I couldn't make out the shape precisely.What was even more puzzling was that the lights seemed to move, ever so slightly, withrespect to each other, but it was definitely not a "formation" of any kind of aircraft like I hadever seen. Although I couldn't guage the exact size of the object since I didn't know whataltitude it was at (although I would guess it was pretty high), it appeared to be bigger thananything I've ever seen flying before, maybe several times the size of a jumbo jet. There wasabsolutely no noise and it seemed to be moving very slowly. We were on a little stretch ofroad between Lake Tahoe and Interstate 80 and there were a lot of stars out, so I'd be reallysurprized if others in the Lake Tahoe area didn't spot these strange lights, also. Have youreceived any reports of sightings like this in this part of the country? Because of my job, I amhesitant to "go public" with this kind of information, so I would appreciate it if you didn'tpublish my name or email address. Please let me know if anyone is aware of any really strangemilitary exercises going on in this area.

07/03/90 Lake Tahoe Ca Circle 1-3 minutes It shot into our view about 50 ft away and then shot out of sight after a few minutes

The time we seen this UFO, there was three of us girls on a bed and talking. We were in an A-Frame house. The bedroom had long windows that looked out into a grove of trees. The forest was pretty thick. I looked up and seen this circle object come into the sight of the windows. From the distance of the house it was probably about 50 ft away. The size of the craft was about 20 ft wide and about 4 feet in length. The color of the craft was a shiny silver. But the lights going around the outside of it were very bright and lit up the area where it floated. It just hovered there for about 1-3 minutes. I don't really know how much time passed but it seemed to be there for quite awhile. I got the attention of the other girls in the room and we all just stared and awed at it. Just as soon as it came, it jetted out of sight with no sound made. Even while hoovering in the grove of trees there was no sound.

We ran across the street to my moms house and told her about it but she didn't believe us. This is the first time I have mentioned it. I was watching a UFO show on tv and wondered if it was too late to report this. I am 34 now and this happened when I was 16. I don't even know if this is worth reporting now, but hopefully one more sighting even if it was almost 20 years ago will help.

Hi there , well this happen a long time ago however lives with me and even i have 4 witness I know there are much more I will explain .

It was in the winter of 1980 in a place name Lake Tahoe, California, I was living with my parents in a 4 bedroom town house, I was watching TV in the living room with my younger brother, my mom was in the kitchen and my sister was upstairs in her bedroom, it was a normal evening ,

all of the sudden the light in the TV and the light in the house all around got dimmed next thing you know from the top of the house from and back there was a light (orange) light not yellow or any other color it was pure orange,

even though I was close to the window I froze I couldn’t move and I could feel some kind of vibration or energy around me I look at my mom and she was stunned also we both couln’t move the light was there I am not sure how long could be about 5 minutes then that light went off and a search light came on it was pure white And it was searching for something in the back , oh in the back there was a meadow in between our house and a elementary school . so the white light look around for few seconds probably 40 seconds or so. And it finally went off.

My sister came downstairs and started to talk about what she sow from her bedroom she sow the yellow light but she couldn’t sow the white light.

My cousin and his wife lived in another building in the same community at that time she was pregnant she said that she sow the white light only but none of us were brave enough to look at the window

The next morning we notice from my cousin’s place we look up and there were in the sky it was like hiding in the clouds we could see a ring at the end of the cloud that cloud was there for a long time 2 or 3 days,

I just hope to find out some day what really happen that day and if you guys could ask more about it I am sure there should be more people with more information on this case I hope this letter Makes it to your heads

Single bright light blinked out and back to different positions; Emitted powerful triangular search beam to ground.

On May 29, 1976, three (3) adult witnesses, ages 21-23, observed an extremely bright white light just Southeast of Fallen Leaf Lake at about a 50 degree angle above the Southern horizon while camping in Desolation Wilderness. It did not move across the sky, rather it disappered and reappeared in a different part of the sky instantaneously. It disappeared/reappeared twice. There was no sound, no wind,a new Moon, no other lights were seen that night. This event occurred at approx. 23:00 hours PDT. The white light in the sky (UFO) emitted a triangular beam of light down to the ground like an extremely bright searchlight beam which lit up the entire mountainside like daytime.

When we tried to to "hide" from the view of the object, it would move to realign itself with our line-of-sight. I used a flashlight to send a Morse Code message to the object, but there was no response.

When last viewed, the object appeared to be descending from an altitude of 4000-500 ft. to an altitude of 1000-2000 ft. about 1 mile away when it disappeared behing the tree line. Lattitude=38°54'34.49" / Longitude=120° 2'42.30"W
