Around 9:30 p.m. in Bishop California a fleet of at least 20 in a straight line, evenly spaced formation moving slowly across the sky from west to east.

Color white / silver ... looked like a sattelite but much closer.

I have seen quite a few interesting mysterious sky phenomena on the eastern side of the Sierra (Mammoth Lakes last summer) and in Bishop a similar formation Winter of 2020 (Decemeber i think - did not report - but this formation had at least 10 more) I'm open, non-fanatical, grounded.

We witnessed a dark sphere with numerous bright red lights that moved slowly and silently 200 feet above their car.

On my way home from work on Monday, May 21, 2012 at about 9:40 PM, I was driving west on West Line Street just past Barlow lane, heading to my home which is north of Bishop. It is a fairly dense residential area. Suddenly, through the trees to the north, my attention was drawn to a very bright red light. It outshown every other light in view. Since it was low, no more than a hundred yards off the ground, I was confused by what I was seeing. At first, I thought it was a light on top of some radio tower, but there isn't any such tower in the area. Then, I could see it was slowly moving in my direction. I thought it was too low to be an aircraft, and I have never seen such a bright red light on an aircraft.

I slowed my car, and watched intently as the light passed over the trees and into the clear sky above me. It passed slowly over the two-lane road on which I was driving, no more than two or three hundred feet in front of and above me. I would estimate it's speed as no more than ten to fifteen miles per hour. What had first appeared as a solid red light wasn't solid at all. It was a spherical object, made up of a geometric assembly of very bright red lights, each apparently identical and equally bright. The lights didn't blink on and off, and did not vary in intensity. I would estimate the size of the sphere as no more than ten or fifteen feet in diameter, about the size of a small car, and as it moved, it was quite clear that the lights were evenly spaced, geometrically all around the sphere. I counted five lights on one hemisphere. It looked like some kind of huge lighted Christmas ornament. And it was beautiful.

I was amazed and completely awe-struck by what I was watching. I pulled the car to the side of the road, stopped and rolled down the window, which provided a clear and distinct view of the sphere, which was by now no more than 200 feet away. I was able to estimate its height and distance by comparing it to trees alongside the road. It was completely silent, seemingly floating in the air. It continued it's southward course, and as it passed by, the rear of the object came into view. I was struck by how evenly spaced the lights were all around the outside of the sphere. The red lights had an intense, radiant quality. They were very bright, and I could make out each individual light. It was like a ball of evenly-spaced red lights.

My view to the south was completely clear, unobstructed by trees or buildings. I watched the sphere as it continued slowly south for perhaps a half-mile, clearly silhouetted against the dark night sky. The red lights remained on. Then, it accelerated abruptly, and moved up so quickly that it disappeared in the darkness. There was nothing left to see but the stars. The entire episode lasted about two minutes, perhaps less. I looked at the clock in my car when I first realized what I was seeing, and again after the object disappeared.

I wasn't drinking, or under the influence of any substance. I have never seen anything like it. I am convinced that it wasn't any kind of aircraft; not an airplane, or a helicopter, or any kind of balloon. There was no wind, and absolutely no sound whatsoever.

three fly over bishop california

three flew over our city of bishop, ca ,we were in the car and were pulling in to our drive way when we seen one orange redish ball in the sky , as we pulled in to our drive way we stoped and watched it go over our city than all of a sudden it dissapered we thought. than we seen it it was real dim . we said what was that! than we went inside and came back out and we seen more coming ..they came from tha south and was orangish red in color we seen 1 at first, than another one they seemed to be following each other they were real bright than they changed to dim red right over the top of our city they seemed to be round like a planet.they seemed to change color right as they passed over the top of us . they were about a mile or two behind each other and they wernt going real fast but kinda slow and smooth is how i would describe it , they were a real piercing orange like fire almost . people across the street were saying what is it . we live on the paiute indian reservation and we seen similar stuff a few years back but with this one we felt like we should tell someone . also we took pictures.

As I was leaving for work at 6:06 am, looking up, east I saw what looked like a orange color dual sphere traveling south at a fast speed following the white mountains ridge, it slowed down and turn east them it zig zaged off very fast and disapeared. Bright lights, that were stationary over Bishop, WV, suddenly took off like a shooting star.

Well, I was working on a surface coal mine on Brewsterdale Road, in Bishop, WV. I was driving a rock truck, and was hauling high on a mountain. As I was coming off the top to go back to the loader, lights in the sky caught my attention. There were two bright, blue/white lights from something, that seemed to be stationary in the sky over us. After about 2 to 3 seconds of watching this, it took off toward the west and out of site so quickly. Like a shooting star would do. It just took off from right over us, and seemed to go right out of the atmosphere, and out of site in less than a second.

I saw two lights movingin tandum from west to east.

Monday morning November 5,2007 at 6:08 AM as I was leaving for work I looked up towards the West sky I noticed two moving lights.

One bright one and following it was a smaller dim orange one.

They moved from West to East towards the sunrise over our mountains. They were moving in tandem as if the larger bright one was towing the smaller orange one.

Neither one had any blinking lights as regular aircraft do.

I have never seen anything like this before so I thought that I would report it.

Six objects move westerly across the California night sky

We we camping in a remote "non-car camping" area with no un-natural light sources within a 20 mile radius. Just as we started to go to bed I was looking at stars to the east and suddenly there was a VERY bright flash of light. This light was not accompanied by any sound and seemed within decent range of where we were camped. The light was very bright and then quickly formed into four (4) distinct circular shaped lights: two on one side and two on the other. The new lights were shaped in a very strange, hard to explain way: they were very well formed light sources and the light from them stayed in a round shape as it came shone out from the craft (in fact we never really saw a "craft" per se).

This object flew at a much quicker pace than any of the airplanes we'd see that night and moved towards the west. About 6 seconds into al this the lights went off and became a "pinpoint" kind of light...looking a bit like a satellite does. It then moved VERY fast westerly and then completely disappeared.

All of this really intrigued me so I stayed up for another two hours and saw a total of six (6) of them all moving in the same direction. Some just quick, small points of light and others looking like fluttering wings made of light...very blinky and fluttery and fast in their light. Two of them changed colors from white to red to blue and back, but most were just white. After a couple of hours of this I went to bed perplexed and very intrigued.

Pinpoint of light grows larger and shines bright blue/white and staggers it's course.

Every year I go to the Owens river valley in Northern California with my Father and Cousin. We were on glass mountain between Bishop and Mammoth Lakes.

Before going to sleep, we watch the sky for a few hours looking for satellites and ufo's. On Saturday night, my cousin spotted a pinpoint of light traveling from west to east. We assumed it was a satellite at first (object too high to be conventional aircraft). After a few seconds of watching, it seemed to grow in size about like a dime held out at arms length and it lit up bright blue/white (like when someone is arc welding) and it's course became staggered for a few seconds untill it returned to a pinpoint of light. After that it just continued on it's way.

Our elevation on the mountain was approx 8000ft. the sky was crystal clear, the temperature was around 51deg with a very light wind. There were no other aircraft in the vicinity at that exact time. We did see several satellites the entire week we were there. I've been a sky watcher since my first ufo sighting at age 7. After seeing 12 now, I strongly believe we are not alone, never have been and never will be.

Witnessed a craft cross the sky above the Sierra Nevada mountians.

While star gazing my cousin and I witnessed a craft travel at high rate of speed from east to west. We watched it travel from the eastern edge of the Sierra Nevada mountians over the crest and beyond to the west, then it seemed to drastically change direction, dropping below the horizon, which for us wast the sierra crest. All this took place in about 10 seconds, Approximatly 40 miles. The craft traveled at an altitude of about 20-25 thousand feet above sea level, estimating, and accounting for our 11 thousand foot camp. It appearead as rectangluar from our perspective, we had a somewhat side view of it, for it traveled to our north by a few miles. It pulsed with light originating from it's core. It also appeared to have a glowing distrotion field around it, the atmosphere around it appeared to be bent like a teardrop around it, bending light and glowing as well, a blue/greenish hue. It made no sound, not even a sonic boom, which I would expect from something traveling at such a high rate of speed. I never thought to report the even but stumbling across this site has made doing just that quite easy. All my statements are true, all times, and distances are approximations. As far as I am aware My cousin and I are the only people to have seen the event, we were backpacking and were in a remote location, camping on a lake in the southern Bishop Creek Basin outside of Bishop California. If we haden't happened to be looking at the sky right at that moment we would have easly missed it.

It was the same night that a triangle was seen over Pheonix Az. Summer 1996 I beleive. I heard about it after I saw this thing. I was laying out in the back yard observing the stars and watching for sattelites. The moon was pretty bright and had not long been up. I noticed two stars to the south that I had never seen befor. Then I noticed they were moving south to north and east of me. I then realized that there were three stars moving S to N. I first thought it was three sattilites or possibly aircraft moving. There was no sound.. and I had never seen three sattilites move in the same area like this befor. I called for my wife to get my binoculars. She did. By this time the three lights had formed a triangle east of me and were low on the horizon. I could not put all three lights in the field of view of the binoculars. I had to go from light to light. I then noticed that the triangle was really dark in the center and blocked out other stars as it passed S. to N. I then lost it as it moved to the north. It was not three objects. It was one BIG object.

I am a private investigator. I have been a policeman. I have been a cowboy and a mule packer, accoustomed to watching the sky for signes of weather. ect.

Large sphere witnessed at music festival.

One night myself and a couple friends were off-roading in the foothills behind Millpond in Bishop, Ca. We stopped at one point to look down into the valley to look at the lights coming from the music festival that happens every year there.

We noticed a light coming from farther back into the hills and all noticed how the light neither changed position, nor intensity as it came towards us. It was distant enough that we could not make out any detail as to what it was or its size, but just upon casual observation, it was obvious it was not a car or anyone carrying a light. I jokingly flashed an SOS at it a few times. Our friend who was driving us around in his truck said he had to go, so he could take his mom to work. So we jumped into his pickup, a Nissan extra-cab, and drove back into town.

I had thought nothing of the incident until my Mom had asked me a number of days later if I had seen the UFO article in the Register newspaper. It described a ball of light some 100-200 feet in diameter, and how it had passed over the Millpond area and the sighting of it by hundreds of people, there was also a contact number in the article (at the end IIRC) for anyone that had anything to say about it, I don't believe the number was a local one. I believe it is still on microfilm at the local paper.

An object with 3 lights travelled north, then west, then south, making 3 right angle turns. It then met up with a much larger, wing-shaped object of several lights. Together, they sped at hyper speed to the east, disappearing.

Red lights on small object and white lights on large. It was dark, so no real outline of a hull could be seen. The observers were just a family of 4 traveling home. 2 adults, 2 kids. None of us has ever forgotten what we saw. The size and speed were way out of the ordinary! We were very "spooked" by the event and drove home to So. Cal. without stopping.

Bright light several thousand feet over the Owens Valley near Bishop, California. Attacked by airplanes and left at high speed

Long time ago, in late 60s. Bright light in clear sky over Bishop, CA was witnessed by hundreds of residents. It was surrounded by a dayglow type of flourescent green vapor. When 4 or 5 fighter planes came from the south and flew straight at it, it accelerated almost vertically in what would approximate the speed of a shooting star. I have ruminated over this for years and feel that I might add something not known. I had a communications receiver tuned to the frequency that the chase planes were using to communicate with the Blackbird which was being tested at the time over the Owens Valley. I went in the house in time to hear a pilot say "have sustained some damage-request to land at Tonopah" Reply was "permission denied,return to ship-do not fly over valley-stay over mountains-give film to so and so immediatly" or something very close to those words. After that transmission, I never heard that frequency used again. The local radio station KIBS was talking about the UFO while it was overhead but when I called them after it was gone, they denied ever saying anything about it.
