The 4 objects moved very rapidly from east to west, then dissappeared.

We were camping at Spicer Reservour just below Bear Valley, CA with another couple. My friend and I decided to go fishing in his small boat about 0700. We motored out across the lake to begin trolling. After a while his motor stopped running. As he was fixing his fishing pole, I began to hear a faint Jet engine sound approaching. Because I am a pilot and work in aviation, I always look up to indentify aircraft. The sound was approaching from the east and behind me. I looked and followed the sound but saw nothing. I continued until the sound was overhead. This is when I saw the ball shapped objects side by side. They were probably 1,000 ft AGL, moving at maybe 200 to 250 KTS or faster. They were aircraft aluminum in color. They all moved independently of each other and appeared to be trying to stay side by side at the same speed. My friend then looked but did not see them. He did hear the sound. They continued to the west for about 1 more second, then dissapeared

Silvery UFO rose out of the huge, deep canyon to the north of the ski parking lot to a spot overhead in about 3 seconds & I then lost site of it.

I had been watching jets in the skys over towards Nevada and was looking down into the vast canyon when I noticed the UFO rising. A silvery "cigar" rose vertically out of the huge canyon to the north of the Bear Valley Ski Resort parking lot off Highway 4 about 20 miles west of the state line. The "cigar" was inclined about 65 degrees like /, but rose nearly straight up, maybe 80 degrees. The direction it rose was SE to SSE and it's path was probably an arc. It rose to a spot near overhead in about 3 seconds & I then lost site of it. The UFO object was probably a disk seen from the side (cigar shape) of about 20' to 30' feet. When I first observed it, I was looking through my good quality binoculars and actually tracked it for a second or so. I then picked it up again when it was overhead without the glasses. About 20 minutes later I heard a small prop plane travel through the canyon bottom from east to west but I didn't see it.
