Stationary very large bright light hovered for 30 minutes before quickly accelerating away leaving a “light trail” behind

My partner and I were trying to find porcupines (not hunting them, I’ve just never seen a wild one) and we were driving on the backroads between 6-7 pm. My partner noticed a strange large very bright light in the sky and we pulled over to watch it. It seemed like it may have been moving side to side very slightly but it was hard to tell. 3-4 times the light would start to dim like it was getting further away only to become bright again. We both got out of the car to get a clearer view and stood staring at it for about 20 more minutes. There was a fairly low cloud cover and we could only see the very brightest stars in the sky through the clouds at times. This object was definitely below the clouds and seemed to illuminate the clouds above it. The object looked to have neon colored parts coming off of it when you looked closely. We both saw 4 skinny long stick like protrusions from the bottom and what looked to be almost wings at the top, it almost looked like a wasp shape. The “wings” had a blueish tint. My partner also remember a small protrusion coming out of the top which I do not remember. At the end, it seems to dim and then shot off west and upwards leaving a bright light trail that was visible for at least 30 seconds. As we drove away I kept staring at the spot where we saw this and then noticed small helicopter/drones/planes (really am not sure) with red lights flying around the same area. Obviously we were pretty shocked and when we got home we both drew the thing from our memory and the drawings are almost the same!

Flickering light over the house and funny star close by.

Oct 29, 2017, I was awake at 5:45 am. As I was looking outside where it was very dark and then the lawn was flickering with light. It lasted about 4 seconds. This area is probably 100’ x 200’, and the house sits in the middle. The light was not extremely bright, and it seemed to come from over the house, as if a helicopter was hovering over the house (there was none) and there was no sound..

Then I looked out beyond the yard and saw a large star north east of Mt. Shasta very low in the sky slowly go straight down very slowly behind the mountains that are about 10 miles away.

We were on interstate 5, headed south to California, when I noticed a big bunch of lights off to my left in the trees. and made the comment that the metal color was amazing. And so I turned my attention forward and not 70 ft to my right I saw the first one it was what I initially thought it to be a drone of some sort so I started filming it. and I noticed the one way in the sky watching me and to more were on each side of the truck. I have 20 pictures and about 10 min videos I know some thing happened there and need some help with this please. it thru something at me. and the events on the highway and the animals are still in can't rap my brain around this?

Flashing light rose out of eastern sky hiding in constellation, second flashing light replaced it at 3:30am.

I was watching one of those flashing "disco in the sky" lights for a few hours, while outside on a porch with friends looking into the sky east past Shasta. It seemed very suspicious, as the lights were even flashing between colors, it was very far off and it stayed in a "constellation" with 2 background stars as the constellations rose from the east.

At about 3:30am, a second flashing light flew up from the south, they did a dance, and the second one replaced the first one. The first one then greatly dropped altitude at around a 20 degree angle from vertical down and then took off straight east towards Nevada at a much lower altitude skimming the mountain top.

Pretty much the only popultion center is the I-5 corridor so it isn't hard to do some basic trig to hide in constellations. Now that I've seen one of these they seem to be all over N. California.

Blood moon sighting near Shasta lake, CA

Driving back from Los Angeles to Portland. Evening before I experienced several hours of missing time. I was traveling on I5 like I had many times. I don't remember going through Sacramento CA & ended up off I 5 up in the mountains with 50 miles to Reno. I had serveral missed phones calls & was very confused. When I traveled back to IT and continued to watch the blood moon through my car sunroof when just about 40 miles south of Weed, CA I spotted this saucer shape. I was able to make out 2 humanoid shaped figures inside the craft. I took several pictures. And observed the craft for about 6-10 minutes before it was no longer in view.

Bright red light seen hovering over a hill in weed California

We saw the craft at first it was bright red and hovering over a hill then the red light shut off. There was no lights at all but we could see that the craft was still there. Then there was three green light on each point and they were slowly getting brighter but it passed over the hill so we couldn't the craft anymore.

Mt. Shasta sighting of disk in the sky.

Hi, I have a picture of what may be a UFO, I saw it still in the sky over Mt. Shasta in Weed, California, a while back, and I never really knew what to think about it, but it is pretty profound, but I don't want to be traced or anything so any personal info you might manage to get dispose of it.

The picture is clear as day and you can see a disk shape above the mountain in daylight, this photo that I have might be a "game changer" as of how clear it is.

Bright gold/white light flying low over Lake Shastina area.

An extremely large ball of white/gold light-- brighter and bigger than any star, yet star-like in nature. It was flying very low and in total silence from the horizon behind Lake Shastina and traveling towards Mt. Shasta. The night sky was dark and clear as the moon had set already.

There was no noise anywhere at five-thirty in the morning; dead quiet. It made it's way within a minute to the Shastina cone of Mt. Shasta, faded to a dim spot, and seemed to drift down into the mountain; jaw dropping. I don't see things like this... ever.

To be honest I see satellites but this was just too bright and golden colored-- and too big. There was no way a plane could have passed over without being heard by me-- it was too low. Today, one day later, a big black helicopter flew over-- never seen one of those here, either, and it was loud.

Big and bright object that changes shape and form in sky 4 nights in a row, moving eraticly.

First we saw what appeared to be a big bright star in the east but realized it was more. It was moving side to side and up and down and around in the same area. Then we noticed there was a red light also to the left of the big one.We got the camcorder out and digital camera and zoomed in on the big bright white one but it really was round with green around it and appeared to be spinning inside with different colors,(red,black,whiteand orange).At times the object when zoomed in apeared to look like a planet but then changed shape. We also have lots of pictures and video. So far from the pictures we have taken there are 9 different forms each night. The object is a different shape in each picture taken. The pictures taken each night are all similar in shape and color. We have seen them 4 nights now in a row in the eastern sky.

Four metallic disks sighted on the north side of Mt. Shasta.

We were coming back from the coast, driving I-5 south between Yreka and Weed, on the north side of Mt. Shasta we saw three metalic circles, flying at a low altitude, lost sight of them behind a hill. Immediately one more followed them. It was a very clear day, there were no clouds around.

Fall 1999 sighting of green and gold fireballs in N California

From your records I am sure you will be able to determine the exact date and time after reading my account.

The following is from mysent email dated 111401.

“I have two purposes in writing. First, to describe my own sightings of some of these ‘fireballs’ in the north central California area in late fall early winter 1999/2000. I did not record the events other than mentally. At that time I was driving truck on a weekly run from Portland OR to southern California. ...

The first of my fireball sightings occurred as I was northbound on I5, about half way between the Weed airport and Yreka, in northern CA. It was between mid Oct and mid Nov. It could have been on a Tues or Thur night, but was most likely Wed night. I do not recall the exact time, but did make a mental note of the time. I think it was between 2300 and 0100 Pacific Coast Time (GMT –8). It was a large green pulsing fireball that was emitting golden sparks. Relative size to me was most likely slightly over two inches in diameter. I used objects in near field vision within and on the truck, and middle field vision along the freeway as references. Horizontal vector distance was most likely much less than 20 miles from me, based on the distance to hills on the western edge of this relatively North/South valley. The golden sparks were associated (possibly not emitted) with it on the sides and backside of its traverse. None of the golden sparks moved downward toward the earth so were most likely not influenced by earth’s gravitation or else the sparks extinguished quickly enough so as to appear to not be influenced by earth’s gravitational field. I have seen several greenish and other colored meteorite fire trails one of which lit up the sky and exploded over the San Antonio Texas area in 1967 when I was stationed there in the Army. This was definitely not a meteorite. I rolled down my window to listen and observe directly. It was soundless and left no after image of light in the sky or on my retina, nor any light streak, as do most meteor trails. In the ‘tail’ area, somewhat obscured by the golden sparks, were several (I think I remember counting either three or four) smaller objects. Each of these objects was approximately ¼ inch relative diameter with one larger than the others. When I first noticed the small objects they appeared to be slightly not in exact formation with the larger object. I observed them to maneuver independently into an exact single line path following in the path of the larger object. For! the res t of my observation, these objects appeared to follow and maintain an exact distance from each other and the larger object. In color, they appeared to vacillate slightly with the predominate frequency being a yellow-gold different from and paler than the golden sparks. The frequency shift ranged between reddish and bluish around the periphery of the entirety of each object with enough transparency to note the predominant central yellow-gold. Because of the pattern, flight path, and general and specific appearance, at that time I believed them to be manufactured objects (this includes manufactured plasma balls) under some kind of either external or internal control. The direction was roughly slightly east of south, but possibly south by southeast. The track seemed to be parallel to an average altitude above the earth. I observed them as they appeared from over the hills to the north of me until I could no longer see them as they passed out of my field of view as limited by my direction of travel and position in the truck. They could have been visible for as long as 30 seconds. Time is relative and subjective and even more so in situations such as this. I think they were at quite low altitude because during part of the observation they appeared between me and the hills to my west. I was listening to the Art Bell radio talk show at the time and tried several times to call in on my cell phone, but never got through. Others were calling in to the Art Bell program with incident reports. The objects were seen from at least as far north as Portland OR. It was reported that jets were scrambled from a National Guard station at Beaverton OR airport, but never caught up to the objects. Observers reported that somewhere over central CA the fireballs made an orderly sharp-angled turn to the east toward Nevada. I vaguely remember hearing another day that they disappeared or ‘exploded’ somewhere over Nevada.

On two or three Sunday evenings or nights sometime between then and early March 2000 I observed similar greenish fireballs coming from relatively west southwest of my position as I was southbound on I5 within 100 miles north of Sacramento and 50 miles south of Sacramento. These incidents each occurred between 2100 and 0200. On one occasion I saw three fireballs on the same relative directional track, each within one to five minutes of each other. I saw no golden sparks or other small objects during any of these observations. Each of them appeared to be relative size approximately half or less of the Oct/Nov object, and much further distant. My observation period was very short as they traveled quickly from the western horizon over my head toward NV. I remember hearing later of one report from a woman someplace in Castro Valley CA reporting a similar observation but do not know if it could have been the same as one of my sightings. I am certified in NLP and Clinical Hypnotherapy and was in practice for a few years. Part of NLP is about learning to be a good observer and make fine distinctions. I am also a snowboard instructor and used to climb a bit, both of which provide good perspective on outdoor distance and orientation.

Very bright blue-green fireball moved downward then went out.

I was driving southward on I-5 about an hour or so north of Redding when I noticed a bright flash outside from my left. I though it was a CHP car coming up from behind me because the flash was about the color of a police car light. When I looked out my driver's side window, I saw a very bright blue-green light about 45 degrees above the eastern horizon. It moved straight downward for about six seconds then appeared to burn out. It didn't have a tail and it seemed to move slower than a shooting star or meteorite. It was about 1/4 to 1/3 the size of a full moon. It was distinctive because of it's blue-green, almost bright cyan, color.

10/31/1981 Saucer Shaped UFO hovering between the moutain Mt. Shasta and the city of Mt. Shasta California

I grew up in Weed, California, Siskiyou County, and heard numerous stories of UFO sightings and in particular, stories from my mother regarding "St. Elmo’s Fire." The sightings of St Elmo’s Fire were always located several miles south of Weed in an area that bordered the then Kellogg Ranch. Located west of I-5. My mother described St. Elmo’s fire to be as large as a car, hovering approximately 5 feet off the ground. The color was always a brilliant emerald green mixed with red/yellow flames. She stated that the only way you knew St. Elmo’s Fire was coming was because the air surrounding you would become charged with electricity causing the hair on your body and your head to stand up.

My story begins early evening October 31, 1981. Fall was settling in and when I was growing up, November 1st always brought snow; thus, there was a coolness to the air with the smell of wood smoke. I was newly dating someone who lived in Mt. Shasta, California and I was headed to a dinner party that friends of his were having. Just as I approached the Kellogg Ranch area headed south on Interstate 5, (which at this date of 1981 had a McDonald’s and a hotel located on the east side of the highway) I felt the crackle of electricity in the air with it being stronger to my right, which would be due west. I was slightly confused due to this new sensation and as I scanned left to right I saw a huge ball of emerald green fire shooting from the west headed due east about 2/10’s of a mile in front of me. The ball of fire was as large as a sedan and approximately 5 feet off the ground; just as my mother use to describe it in her stories. As I visually followed St. Elmo’s Fire from right to left, the mountain, Mt. Shasta was in my line of vision to the east. To my utter amazement, there was a saucer shaped UFO hovering on the side of Mt. Shasta closest to me. It was huge, sliver in color and slightly dipped downward on the left side of the UFO. The UFO was located toward the base in the area we call the "timberline." As I traveled south toward Mt. Shasta, I was able to keep it in my line of vision for approximately 15 minutes and then it shot straight up in the air and disappeared. The light during this entire sighting was bright enough for me to not misinterpret what I was seeing. I had hoped that the UFO would remain where it was as the house I was headed for would have had a front and center view of a life time.

The house where the dinner party was being given was located almost at the base of Mt. Shasta on the Everett Memorial Highway. The house is located on the west side of the highway and Mt. Shasta High School is still located across the road from this house. Upon entering the house everyone was excited and asked me if I had seen anything strange on my way to their home. Because I didn’t want them to think that I was strange, I told them to tell me what they saw. They stated that they felt a charge of electricity and when they looked out the picture window that faces Mt. Shasta, they saw a UFO and described it exactly the way I saw it. None of us saw lights that were lit up on the UFO-could be due to the fact that it was still light outside that none were needed. I then told them about seeing St. Elmo’s Fire and then the UFO. My friends apprised me that, though they had never seen St. Elmo’s Fire, they had heard stories of sightings in the same area where I saw it.

The four individuals that saw the UFO besides me were approximately 8 to 15 years older than me as I had just turned 21 that April. Two of the individuals were school teachers and the other two were business owners.

This was not the first time I had seen a UFO while living in Weed, California, and the other sightings were also witnessed by my siblings and friends and on one occasion, we even called law enforcement, who did respond, but found ways to discount what we were seeing and what they were seeing.
