Bright light fluidly moving through the sky.

I’ve observed this craft for almost two weeks and I’m not entirely sure what it is. It might be a drone or a UFO, but it is certainly not an airplane, helicopter, or satellite because its movement patterns conflict with aerodynamic animations typical in planes and helicopters and it’s too fluid to be a satellite. The craft exhibits sporadic unidirectional movements without the buffering process of reorientation. For example, this vehicle can change directions without backing up or turning around. Additionally, it’s capable of hovering in the air for hours, or speeding (however, I’ve never observed any brisk movements, it mostly hovers around the same region for hours) which is uncharacteristic of planes and helicopters, but not drones (depending on the type, if it is a drone it’s incredibly expensive). The vehicle in question emerges exclusively during the evening, roughly between 12 AM and 3 AM, and lingers for three to five hours. Maybe it stays longer, bu! t I’ve never managed to stay up long enough to witness it.

The craft possesses white lights, which amplify in certain contexts. For example, an almost indiscernible second craft approached the hovering, distinguishable vehicle and both brightened when in close proximity of each other. The indistinguishable craft immediately disappeared after, following with a bright projectile shooting from the sky. Firstly, I couldn’t tell if the amplified lights were strobe lights or solid lights, and what I’m describing might indicate drone collision lights. I researched drone collision lights and they’re functional during the full extent of drone-operation. Sensor-activated collision lights sound perfectly plausible, but I’m struggling to find any examples. Secondly, the bright projectile resembled a “shooting star” and it’s not the first time I’ve seen these “shooting stars” projected from/around this vehicle. However, correlation does not equal causation and they may be unrelated. Another detail to add, however, is that two distinct light proj! ectiles *appeared* to shoot from the isolated craft in a separate occurrence. But, I’ve only witnessed two occurrences of light projectiles coinciding with the craft, so I’m guessing it’s just a regular meteor. I am in no way assigning any definitive explanation because there’s a lot I don’t know. Do what you will and feel free to ask any questions.

Three ufo seen on the I-5, going through the Grapevine, making incredible maneuvers.

I witnessed what I thought was a craft with three sets of lights in a triangular formation separate and take positions miles apart from one another. These separate craft either had multiple lights, or strobed hues of redish and blue light.

They moved faster than I could track with my eye. One made a slingshot maneuver around another then disappeared and reappeared miles away from the staionary craft. The three lights came back into formation and disappeared from view.

A few seconds later I saw three bright white lights close to the ground then dissappear from view entirely.

Peter,

Yes, it was the evening of the 8th, not the 9th. Sorry for any confusion.

one bright greenish yellow spherical object shoots across the sky

Castaic, CA. June 14, 2008. 11:50 pm. (approx.)

My husband and I were glued to the tube when suddenly a bright flash drew my attention to the sheer-curtained window to the Northwest.

It was bright and seemlingly very close (when compared to a normal object in the sky) - spherical in shape and greenish-yellow in color, coming from the southeast.

Without a word, we both bolted to the balcony and stared in amazement at a completely still and lifeless sky.

My husband says, "That is the ((deleted)) craziest ((deleted)) I've ever seen((deleted))!"

Wonder if anyone else saw it.

It looked like a bright star,,,,but it pulsated, and gave off different shades of green and blue,,it also seemed to move back and forth,,,up and down,,it also seemed to be emitting somthing,,like debris,,but very faint,,not only I but the others with me saw this as well.

It appeared to be a really bright star on the initial sighting,,,I was alerted to it by a phone call from my parents. I went to the roof og\f my location, with 3 others and saw what my parents had seen, and described,,,a bright star to the naked eye,,,but on further exanmination ,appeared to be moving and pulsating, with red and blue/green lights. It would move back and forth,,,up and down... We used a pair of binocullars and could make out a cigar shape. It was moving in the sky but kept the same general position, moving back and forth.

Traveling north on I-5 in Castaic, seen a greenish-white brilliantly lit fireball. Perfectly round in size come out of the sky, at a downward-slanted position , disappear behind the mtns., as if it was heading towards Edwards Air Force Base in Lancaster.

I'm a truck driver. I was traveling northbound on I-5 and exactly at 23:51 hrs. (check clock) I seen this brilliantly lit greenish-white, perfectly round fireball. It was moving at a very fast pace at a downward-slanted position. Disappeared behind the mountains, but seemed to be headed towards Edwards Air Base in Lancaster. Really didn't believe what I was seeing and ask the driver in front of me if he had seen it. He said he hadn't seen anything, no one was going to call him crazy. But I know it was real, the cb radio has never been so quiet and nothing was said for minutes. I wanted to get off the hwy. and call Art Bell, but remembered he had a repeat show on that night. I'm really not sure if it was 9/18 or 9/23, but diffenently one of those days. By now I'm watching the skies like crazy and 2 weeks later I was coming off Tehachipi Mtn., west bound on hwy.58 into Bakersfield, it was cloudy night, but there was this one star like object in the sky in the southern direction. It's light kept going on and off like it was sending some kind of morse code, then finally went out and disappeared. This went on for about for almost 20 minutes. I really felt it was talking to something. If you wish to contact me at anytime, I will gladly pay for the call (see occ. section for info). In the meantime, I'll be watching the skies.Keep up the good work.

Update for report of sighting on 12/02/93

This is an update to a previous report. The main change is the date. Please revise date from 12/20/93 to 12/23/93.

<---- Updated Report (not many changes besides the date) I also emailed photos ----> Date of sighting: Thursday, December 23, 1993 - approximately noon Location of sighting: Valencia, CA @ hilltop near I-5 and 126 interchange (34° 26' 50N" Latitude 118° 36' 10W" Longitude) I only have one sighting to share but it has kept me thinking for many years now. I think a sighting can be very informative if the observer notes not only what was seen but also the circumstances under which it was seen. I used to work for an amusement park in Valencia, California called Six Flags Magic Mountain. I was a senior in high school at the time and worked the summers, weekends, and holidays. This week the forecast called for thunderstorms and a high probability showers. It was only a few more days before Christmas and one of those days when I knew the park would be empty.

That day I was on my lunch break when I sat in my usual quiet spot not far from where Batman the Ride would later be built. It overlooked our employee facilities in the foreground and the intersection of the I-5 freeway (north/south) and the 126 (east/west) in the distance. My view was to the east and toward a small range of mountains on the other side of the I-5. The mtn peak is about 200 feet above the I-5 freeway. At its base now sits an extension to the Valencia Industrial Center and the northbound I-5 to 126 off-ramp. On the other side of this mtn range is a field of gas wells in what is called the Honor Rancho Plant (owned and operated by Southern California Gas Company).

At lunchtime there was a thunderstorm moving from north to south. It had already passed where I was but I could still see the lightning in the distance and the sky was entirely overcast. About 15 minutes after I sat down I had finished what I was eating and looked out at the freeway, at the range beyond, and then to the clouds. I was just passing the time I had away from my work when I saw something moving in the lower layer of the cloud formations. It was situated across the freeway and just above the mtn range (about 100 ft above the hill's peak). At first I thought it was a shadow. As it came into clearer view I thought maybe it was a helicopter even though I didn't see a tail and its shape wasn't quite the same. It was in nearly zero visibility because of the clouds and was inching southward (left to right), much slower than the clouds around it. This is probably why it caught my eye. It was a grayish tone (maybe metallic), elliptical in shape with the long axis parallel to the horizon line, about 25ft in width, 12ft in height, and had no distinguishing extrusions. If it had any markings on its surface I couldn't see them from this distance (1.4 miles). Patches of cloud would make it appear and disappear over what was to be 2-3 minutes. I watched almost unblinking at what I couldn't identify. I might add that the only sounds I heard included a light thundering to the south and the hum of the traffic on the I-5. I would normally have also heard the occasional yell from someone on a ride some distance away, but because today was a few days before Christmas the park was virtually empty. Then at one point clouds passed in front of it, obscuring it completely. I thought I'd lost it, but I kept watching. 15-20 seconds later it reappeared the cloud having passed it. Now it was clearer than ever and it hadn't hardly moved. I still couldn't see any detail and my mind was a blank as to what this object could possibly be. It was kind of small to be a blimp and kind of big to be a balloon but I guess it could ha! ve been one or the other. Then it did something no blimp or balloon I've ever seen could do.

After 2-3 minutes, the object shot up into the clouds instantaneously, like it had been attached to some long extended rubber band that I couldn't see. The speed was so fast (and the fact that the object was already nearly engulfed by the clouds surrounding it) that, had I blinked, I would have certainly missed this last maneuver. There was no deformation in the object that I noticed in the 2-3 minutes that I watched it. What I did see however was the deformation of the misty cloud as the movement of air suddenly displaced it. This was the one key piece of information that convinced me what I saw was actually there. A fraction of a second before the object lurched upward I also saw it drop ever so slightly like it was "changing gears" or transitioning from one mode of operation to another. The speed of the final maneuver convinced me that what I was dealing with was not a object of any kind I had ever seen and I thought this maneuver was the last of this sighting and that I'd never see anything this unusual again. I was wrong.

I immediately looked at my watch hoping to record the exact date and time of the sighting, but all I could manage to remember was the placement of the second hand and only for a moment at that. This is why. I continued to look in awe over the freeway for some hope of an answer. Then, about 10-15 seconds after the object had shot into the clouds, a small bolt of lightning that I couldn't hear at that distance struck EXACTLY where the object (above the hill's peak) had been situated. I was sure this was no coincidence and I've thought about this sighting (the only sighting I've ever had) for years.

NUFORC Note:

We have no prior report for Castaic Junction for December 1993, or a report from the same witness. We are somewhat confused by the witness' request, but we assume the alleged event occurred on December 23, 1993. We have amended the date here. PD
