Pairs of white lights that slowly disappear going straight up

From the backyard my husband and I saw a light slowly moving up in the sky. At first we thought it was a satellite however it was moving very slowly. We could see it from our backyard as we faced North. The light was very bright and since we didn't have our phones on us we went into the house and got them then went to the front yard where we then noticed that there was a second light that was also moving up from the horizon. The first light was on top and it slowly started disappearing the further up it went and then once it disappeared another light appeared on the horizon about an equal distance apart from the first light. Then the second light slowly disappeared as the two lights moved together. Over the course of 5 to 10 minutes the lights slowly would start to appear farther South West on the horizon but they would come in pairs and when the one on top would disappear then it would be about time for another one to appear on the bottom there was anywhere between 6 to 12 lights observed going up slowly in pairs. In the video it appears that the lights are flashing however in real life they appeared to be steady white lights very bright about the same magnitude as Venus would be. This occurred over 5 to 10 minutes.

Oddly slow moving green light coming towards the ground.

After making a door dash delivery on pardee ave in Susanville CA, my wife and I were pulling away facing south and just before the corner of pardee ave. and N. Railroad ave. We saw a relatively large green circle surrounded by yellowish radiating light points with a disconnected green tail streak across the sky from the south sky to the southwest sky before being no longer visible. It streaked across oddly slow (being visible for almost 4 seconds). It was like a meteor, but something was different about it. After it happened my phone started to have wierd flashes on the screen, which are still occuring and getting progressively worse
(Longer and different colors).

I initially thought that it could have been an aircraft, which suddenly burst into flames- but so far, I have heard no such reports.

I observed three amber/reddish color lights, no visible running-lights, traveling in a southeasterly direction, at roughly equal distances apart, until they disappeared behind a cloud-bank, one-by-one.

They appeared to be travelling at roughly the altitude and speed, of a small civilian aircraft. They made no discernible noise.

Orange/amber light, w/ contrail, over Susanville, Ca.

While taking an after-dinner walk, in my neighborhood, I observed a spherical, bright object, of an orange-amber color,and with the approximate intensity of a welder's torch, moving in a south-southeasterly direction, toward Reno, Nv. It also left a contrail, visible in the moonlight.It was making a sound, similar to a jet-engine sound, only quieter. At first glance, I thought it was a conventional jet-aircraft, and appeared to be moving at about the same approximate cruising-speed, at an altitude of approx,10-15,000ft,AGL, but then I noticed that it had NO running-lites, or red tail strobe-light, as required per FAA regs. Then, I thought that it may have been a meteorite, but it's light never changed in color, or intensity, as they typically do. I'm 52 yrs.old, and have NEVER seen anything, quite this dramatic! As it disappeared behind a cloud-bank, I was almost tempted to "brace for impact", I thought that it could have been an incoming N.Korean ! or Chinese I.C.B.M!

Bright planet like light hovers then takes off.

In back yard. Looked up saw pretty blue-white light, planet like object. Was about to tell husband to come and look at the super bright planet, when it took off.

Hollered at husband "look, look" he saw it also. It flew off and disappeared into the tree tops. Looked around for it and didn't see it.

Went into the house to get binoculars. Went into front yard. Saw a distant object flashing red and blue.

Checked it with binoculars, circular object flashing red and blue but not solid colors more like flashes coming out the sides or maybe object spinning.

Went back inside finally found camera, looked for it again and saw nothing.

While eating an apple from my tree this morning I saw what appeared to be a Plane. It was long and shinning in the sun light. It was flying from the west to the east. I did not think anything of it until it turned sideways while still moving in the same direction. It appeared to be drifting with the wind. Then it turned back to its normal position and continued to move to the east of Susanville. What was strange was that as it moved east out of sight it had a bright white tail light.

Large craft, appeared to be covered in fire

I recently purchased night vision binoculars as a gift for my husband. He normally works nights. On his "weekends" it is common for him to be up late at night, "playing" with his night vision looking for various wildlife.

On the occasion of this sighting, my husband had gone outside and had been gone for enough time that I decided to go look for him. I decided to try out front first, and as I opened the front door and attempted to step through it, my cat tripped me, causing me to lose my balance somewhat.

As I righted myself and regained my balance and footing, my gaze went to the mountain tops that are visible from my porch. I was shocked to see the following in the very dark night sky: A very large triangle(ish) shaped craft silently flying toward the mountains! It was flying fairly low, say 500 feet above the mountain tops. It was perfectly flat on the bottom.

I say large, because this thing seemed almost as big or bigger than my single car garage. What was most bizarre about this craft was it was all the same color. The only way I can think to describe it would be as if it were on fire. There were no flames coming off of it. It did not "shine" or blink or have lights all over it. Just the "fire" that the entire craft was seemed to be covered in. It did not have a tail or leave a trail, I would compare it to looking at the tip of a burning cigarette in a very dark room. It moved deliberately, and moved across the sky as an airplane would, at about the same speed as a jumbo jet. It flew over the mountain headed south west and disappeared from view behind the mountains. There was absolutely no sound coming from it and it didn't light the ground up underneath as it flew over, almost as if the light of the fire was somewhat muted in some odd way, yet it was still fairly bright. It didn't crash behind the mountain, and in fact maintained its flight pattern in a controlled manner as it disappeared.

I was stunned.

I immediately went back into the house and ran into my husband who was coming in through the back door. He said he had seen something also, that "disappeared" when he looked at it. He was coming into the house to tell me about it. He described it to me as an orange UFO.

Ironically, my son in law also saw something that night. He told us the following weekend that what he saw was orange, and disappeared also.

This was most certainly no airplane. It was most certainly not a meteor, a shooting star or comet. It is by far the most disturbing thing I have ever seen. My husband was pretty freaked out by what he saw as well.

It scared me pretty bad.

I will never forget it. Unfortunately no photos were not taken as I didn't have my camera at the time this happened, and did not have enough time to get my camera before it disappeared.

stars which becomes extemely bright, and then disappear

While jogging on a cloudless pre-dawn morning, I observed an object which appeared to be a typical star, which suddenly became extremely bright;and then completely disappeared. This is not the first time that I have witnessed this phenomena. However, I had never noticed this sort of thing until I moved to this part of California about 20 years ago. On prior occasions, I have witnessed multiple examples of this phenomena within time frames of several minutes,or so. Also, approximately three months ago; at approx. 8:00AM one morning,I observed what appeared to be a shiny, silver ball which appeared to be the approximate size of a small civilian aircraft; which was completely stationary in the sky in a south-easterly direction of Susanville,Ca, in the vicinty of a mountain named Thompson Peak, at an estimated altitude of approx. 10,000ft. I, unfortunately; was only able to observe it for about five minutes, and then was forced to leave my location. What really w! as fascinating to me about this event,is that I subsequently found out the next day,from a news report; that there had been an meteor, or comet which had entered the atmosphere in this vicinity of the state, and that many people had reported what they thought to be an earthquake or loud explosion, at virtually the exact time that I had observed this silvery object. However, I didn't hear or feel anything unusal, myself.

Now I believe

On December 22nd, 2006 at Approximately 10:30 Pm while working as a "Tower" Officer at a Prison, a call came to me from another tower. The Officer asked if I was watching or noticed the "lights" beyond the Prison water towers facing North.

At first glimpse I noticed two flourescent orange orbs of light equally distanced from each other which appeared to be hovering. I grabbed a pair of Binoculars and hoisted my hands on window bars to steady the shaking of my hands.

Now a clear shot I watched as both orbs seemed to be in conjunction with the other, perfect match of each others size... As one orb would appear to get brighter the other would dim then two smaller lights shot from the left orb.

After about ten minutes or so watching these objects I witnessed a smaller row of orange orb-like lights seem to have turned on, above the two bigger orbs, this was all one object I'm sure. These smaller lights seemed to "twinkle" as they spun in a sort of carousel motion. The closest thing to the looks of the object is a gigantic freight-liner with running lights coming at you head-on.

This lasted for an approximate 2 hours. There is nothing but BLM land and forest there. Later that morning at 0600 Hours I was relieved of shift and drove up a single dirt road to where I thought this object was, my car lights began to putter dim and I turned around and took off!

I am in the Air Force and have seen many strange lights but this is the closest thing I have ever seen.

It dissappeared and reappeared.

I was on my way home from Reno, NV to Susanville, CA on highway 395. Up above the sun every so often I would see the sun shine on something that looked metallic for 30-40 seconds then the object would dissapear. I first noticed the objects a few miles before Herlong and all the into Susanville I saw it. So I stopped at my moms shop on main street to see if my driving was causing it to go in and out of focus. As I was standing out on the side walk I saw it again and yelled for my mom to look but by the time she came out it was not visible. So I am wondering if it was a satellite, planet, star, or whatever. I have seen something similar a few weeks ago but it was about 2:30 in the afternoon and off to the east.

This was the fourth or fifth time since december that I have seen a ball of light moving up and down behind a mountain, I think diamond mountain is the name. I cam see it move up the back behind this mountain just up and down for several minutes. On the fourth of july i saw it just hovering up above the mountain and a bit forward this time. It wasn't exactly moving just hovering.

Minister and police spot ufos in Susanville,CA

For the past seven days, my wife and I have been observing every night 3 to 6 craft in the sky. They change colors (red, green, blue,)and when we observe them through the binoculars we notice they change from saucer to oval shaped. We can see like portals on the top outside of the craft through the binoculars. With the naked eye they sway from side to side. A green light or red light blinking it changes. Just a few nights ago my wife and I were in Skyline park in the desert in Susanville and we were observing them. A police car pulled up and the officer walked up to us. She asked us what we were doing and we told her and pointed out a ufo. We handed her the binoculars and she looked at it. She looks back at us with a stunned look on her face and then pulled her maglite and flashed the craft. The craft flashed back at us and it moved, the officer then looked at us and said: "Did you guys see that it moved"! and then said again to us: "You guys are freaking me out"! and she took off! We noticed that there will be two of these objects by the moon and the rest in a circular position in the night sky around the Susanville area. Another thing I would like to add is that the objects will black out when we try to see them in our telescope, when we look away they turn their lights back on. They dont seem to mind us looking at them through the binoculars. Yesterday my wife and I flashed one of the closest ones with a spotlight and it moved its way toward us, so my wife runs in the house to avoid it.We have currently had a small storm and that night with the police officer there was a storm in the distance about a mile , it seemed like they were observing the storm.These ufos are still out here right now. It was moving faster than any plane I've ever seen... moved in a semi circle path across the sky in about two seconds. North Eastern Calif. Fiery object emits fire like objects that float down to ground.

On December 24, 2002 I pulled up to one of my friends house, him and another friend said they were going up to the construction site of a new hospital where my friend worked as the night secuirty guard. (Only person at the site at night) The security guard had called terrified, babbling, and literally crying that a UFO was hovering over his office(the guard is 6'2 and weighes around 200 lbs.) I immideately drove to his work located about a mile and a half from where I was at. On the way up I saw an orange light in the sky but thought that it probably was just a airplane and didn't notice when it must have disappeared.

When we got up to the hospital the security guard was still hysterical and was trying to tell us what it looked like and what it was doing. We kind of joked with him for about ten minutes when we all went into his office that was located in a modular next to the hospital. I called my father who is the chief of one of the fire departments in town and asked him if he would call dispatch and see if anyone had reported anything. One of my other friends called his girlfriend on the office phone. The guard sat down in his chair and said to me I was looking out this window when I first saw it, as the security guard pointed out the window to show me where, he said, "Oh my god there it is again".

When I looked out the window I saw an orange light that was bright orange. It was somewhere around six hundred feet off the ground and about a mile away. I could not pick out a shape of the object only that it was emmiting a light that looked like fire and that it was coming closer. I immediately called my dad who lives up on a hill about the same distance away and told him that I didn't know what this thing was and for him to try to see it from his advantage. Then the UFO started emitting little tracer fire balls that looked like they were floating down (swaying back and forth). It must have dropped around 8 of these. I then became frantic when my friends started screaming in terror as this object is slowly coming towards us. My parents immediately hung up on me when they heard my friends screaming to come to where we were at. At this time I felt that it was time to leave so we ran to the cars. As we were running a car came over the horizon and the UFO dissappeared like turning off a light bulb in a dark room.

Friends of ours and my parents and grandfather arrived shortly and we stayed there for a while but it never came back. The security guard said that when saw the UFO the first time a car stopped alongside the highway to watch. But never heard any other reports. Three craft in formation, high altitude, lights constant across sky - unlike aircraft running lights which blink and "hide"

Observed three orange lights in formation, no sound, high altitude probably 15,000 est. travelling roughly north to south - notable because I have watched aircraft night and day since childhood as son of Navy aircraft electrician.

These "lights" were not red or green or white, nor did they ever blink. Aircraft running lights are sometimes hidden by a wing or fin, but even at high altitude the different colors of running lights are distinguishable one from another. Because of the altitude and darkness, there was no way for me to describe shape of objects.

These objects were constant - unblinking, color unchanging as they traversed from north to south. Not satellites, which were visible at that time, but were single (no formation) and would "wink out" as they passed into earth shadow.

While I do not remember exact date, sighting was within an hour after dark - not once but three consecutive nights. The only difference is on the third night, one of the objects, which from such distance I could only describe as an "orange light" broke off from the "formation" and shot away to the east, while the other two lights continued southward.

Within days I heard news reports of law enforcement officials and other reporting cigar shaped objects in the area of Redding, California I am submitting this report because Peter Davenport asked for anyone who has ever seen anything unidentified to file a report.
