Orbs of light appearing/disappearing

Orbs of light slowly appearing, moving across the sky before disappearing. Photos are 15 second exposure time. Starlink was not visible in the area at the time. Too many to be satellites. Some on the horizon were more reddish in color (possibly due to wildfire smoke in the area). As seen in the photos, some seemed to stop before continuing to move on. This is an almost nightly phenomenon in this area. Camera is a Nikon D3300.

116 orbs in total traveling the three groups equally spaced apart and traveling at the same speed not following the horizon

My wife and I were camping at Bothe-Napa, sitting around the campfire looking up at the stars off and on. The sky was very clear, and through the tree openings we first spotted a row of orbs (same size as a singular satellite you would see cruising by). There were 8 orbs on the first pass, equally distanced apart from each other moving at the exact same speed from left to right, about 6 to 7 seconds apart from each other.

After the 8 orbs passed and brief moment went by before another another row of orbs began traveling along the same path. Each equally distanced from each other and moving at the same speed. We counted 49 orbs in this group. There were many trees so we could not see beginning or end of their travel (this info will come into play later).

After another brief moment a third group of orbs appeared only this time they were traveling perfectly perpendicular to the previous groups. Again, each equally distanced and moving at the same speed. At this point I decided I would walk into the road/parking lot area to try and get a better look away from the trees. I asked our camp neighbor if he was seeing them as well. I pointed up and he said yes and took out his phone to record a video, but cell phones are just not powerful enough to see lights in the dark night sky. He said he couldn’t see it on his phone. He seemed much less impressed than myself about what we were seeing and went back to cleaning dishes.

Now here is where it gets interesting…As I followed the trail of traveling orbs I noticed that they did not follow the horizon and disappear as a satellite would. Rather, they travelled in a perfectly straight pathway out of the atmosphere, disappearing from sight as they got far enough away. It was something I had never seen before, like something you would see in a sci-fi movie.

There were 59 orbs traveling on the third perpendicular run. All in all 116 total orbs spotted by the naked eye. It by far the most unexplainable, bizarre, yet interesting thing I have ever seen. I would be interested to know if others saw what we saw that night.

White sphere rises to dock with momentarily uncloaked cylindrical ship, then both vanish.

While walking on my ranch a white balloon caught my eye as it floated upward. Thought it was just a party balloon that got loose as I've seen before. It was too round, so I figured a weather balloon or a test balloon that the hot air balloonists use around here to measure wind currents.

No reference as to size, it could have been a half-mile or more away. I was concerned because commercial aircraft regularly fly over around 20-30k feet on one leg of the instrument approach to San Francisco Bay area airports.

I continued to watch and noticed a couple of black bands around the balloon at angles to each other that I thought was odd but at the distance it now was any detail was lost. The balloon continued it's assent and I noticed a few small wispy clouds in a clear sky above where it looked like it was heading. It reached the clouds and stopped it's ascent and appeared to move back and forth horizontally in short movements. (In hindsight what appeared to be horizontal was probably a small circular "holding" pattern).

Directly above the balloon appeared what looked like a fuselage, cylindrical in shape, military gray/silver, like cold-war aircraft. However just the bottom of a cylinder, no wings or tail and the clouds obscured the ends of the cylinder. Then the balloon disappeared as well as the cylinder.

So a craft ascending to the rendezvous marker clouds to meet a cloaked ship that had to become visible for a few seconds so the spherical craft could see to dock to the cylindrical ship....

A grey, oval-shaped object in the sky appears in a photograph taken on this date (but not actually witnessed at the time)

I have emailed you a photo (file size 1.8 MB) I recently took that shows a strange, grey object in the sky.

I took this photo at a tourist attraction called the "Old Faithful" geyser about 2 miles outside of Calistoga, California on December 24 2011. According to my computer, the photo was taken at 11:49 am local time. (This time seems right to me because I remember we were there in the late morning.) I haven't edited the photo in any way - this is the raw image I downloaded from my digital camera.

My husband and I briefly visited the geyser as tourists. We didn't notice anything unusual in the sky at the time and we didn't hear any unusual noises. I only noticed this strange object when I later uploaded the photo from my camera phone (an iPhone 4) to my computer.

It is possible that we were both distracted at the time because we were watching the geyser itself, which makes hissing and splashes noises as it shoots hot water from underground. There were several other tourists there and from memory they were all acting normal. I don't remember anyone pointing out anything in the sky.

I took several other photos of the geyser and several short videos. The object does not appear in any of the other photos or the videos. Interestingly, the image I have emailed you is time-stamped as exactly 11:49:05 on my computer. The next photo I took is time-stamped 11:49:08 (which I assume means it was taken anywhere between 2 and 4 seconds later). The object is nowhere to be seen in that next photo, even though I took it from the same standing position.

For this reason I really doubt that this object is dirt or grease on the camera lens. The object also appears to be reflecting the sun, so I believe it was something in the sky.

I suppose this could be a helicopter or other aircraft or even a bird or bug, but the explanation isn't obvious.

Black Ops or UFO?

The following pictures shot on 30 December 2008 in the Napa Valley in Calistoga California on the grounds of Castello DI Amorosa display either an UFO or Military black operation. The proximity of Travis Air Force Base to this location cannot be ignored due to the nature of this event. There were two very distinct and strange occurrences witnessed and attempting to digest, as what I was, witnessing did not relate to the disk that appears to be following the jet airliner.

The fist strange occurrence was the absence of sound emanating from the jet engines, in a valley with foothills on either side you would expect to hear the roar of a jet flying at low altitude. The second bit of strangeness was the air speed at which the jet airliner was moving, well below stall speed and technically should have fallen from the sky.

The markings on the jet were indistinguishable so I raised my camera and started to shoot pictures of the jet, to my surprise, a brilliant flash of light just behind the jet appeared as I shot the first picture. I looked at my camera and saw what appeared to be a disk like shape that was not visible to the naked eye.

I continued to shoot pictures of the jet in sequence until it disappeared further into the valley. Odd as it may sound you would think that a jet airliner with four engines would make some noise. There were people all around shooting pictures of the castle and no one seemed to notice the plane.

I still have the pictures on my flash card and would be interested in anyone who can provide high-resolution digital imaging as I have about 15 pictures in sequence of the airplane moving through the valley.

unidentified aerial entity/lifeform, shape changing, smoke colored / reflective / transparent, 40 seconds observation.

I don't know quite how to describe it. It wasn't a craft in the usual association of the word, but it was a literal UFO. It was large, between 80 and 110 feet long, and was approximately 700 feet up in the air. It was smoke colored. the sky was otherwise clear. It was the darker "smudge" of a cloud in the sky that caught my attention.

I was driving in normal traffic. This is a secluded area, in the mountains/hills. When I saw it, i just looked at it because it was odd, it looked like a puff of smoke in the sky, but it was moving laterally, instead of vertically, as smoke usually does. I watched it for a second ro two, and it ballooned out and took on an almost serpentine shape. It expanded and collapsed in upon itself. It seemed to be more of an entity than a craft, but I don't know. I might have imagined it to be just a figment of my imagination, except, its persistancy was odd. I hit my brakes and tried to keep a watch on it. I drove under trees and could watch it ebtween the branches as I drove udner them. I had no hallucinations either before or after this episode, and I was rested and stress free, having gotten off work 4 hours early due to an absence of clients. It seemed to play in the sky. And then, after about 40 seconds of watching it, it just collapsed in upon itself, and disappeared entirely.

I have no means by which to even try to explain this. I have no knowledge of anything on record even close to it. It seemed to be made of something semi reflective, or shimmery, and cloud/smoke colored. It seemed to move as if it was an organic being.

I was working a swing shift and went outside for some air towards the shifts end and noticed what appeared to be an airplane but the flashing lights were faster different somehow the craft moved much faster then an airplane and made NO sound what-so everthe lights where green,red,blue and yellowish seemed to rotate at a high speed with intermittent flashing.I called another employee who also said it seemed strange but chalked it up to a plane possibly in troube,she could not hear any sound either.

Erratic movement of single light which split into two and back to one again repeatedly, as well as hovering.

Around 7pm, in Calistoga, California, our attention was drawn to a blinking light in the vicinity of the North Star. My brother-in-law was familiar with similar sightings and drew our attention to it. It was blinking at a steady rate (not like a natural star), and not moving. After a moment, it began to move slowly through the sky. Unlike a satellite, or aircraft, this light was moving erratically through the sky: left, right, up and down - very abrupt movements. The movements were at times slow, others fast with no apparent pattern. It would come to a complete stop for as long as 5 minutes. It would begin as a single blinking light (white), and then would appear as two lights, regardless of the direction it was moving, and then back to a single light. When it would move quickly, the lights appeared orange-red in color, when stationary, white. At times, the lights would be synchronized, others alternating. Viewing through binoculars, I was unable to determine the shape (I would try to focus on brighter stars behind it to determine if they were two separate craft, or one when the two lights appeared. It did appear to be a deeper black in between the two lights, but it was too difficult to hold the binoculars still enough to determine for sure). However, when the lights were brightest and blinking, it appeared that it might possibly be triangular in shape from the way the light would reflect out. The size of the lights would change giving the appearance that the craft was moving farther into space and then descending again. There was absolutely no sound in the quiet countryside to lead us to believe that this was a commercial jet, or aircraft of some kind. It was a very clear, very cold evening and the stars were very visible in contrast to this light. We also saw two distinct satellites cross the path above the lights. My 10 year old wondered if perhaps the satellites may have taken a picture from above??

four triangular shaped crafts moved slowly over our heads...joining others accross the valley...

My girlfriend and I were driving north over Mt. St. Helena when we saw pair of bright stationary lights above trees against cloudless full moon sky. Craft did not move for 40 seconds. Pulled off to side of road. As soon as we stopped, craft moved towards us..approx. four stories above us. As we got out of car, craft went over our heads, emanating a low humming sound/vibration. It was triangular with six or more white lights constituting the shape of the triangle and a red and green light in the middle. Next, the craft slowly moved over us accross valley, turned all red, crossed valley in southerly direction, then moved east along mountain ridge, then disappeared behind trees. We got back in car and drove futher up mountain. Pulled over again, looking accross valley floor and saw several more lights moving along ridge, some east-bound, some west, changing colors from red blinking to white, disappearing, reappearing, swelling and contracting and moving spasticly. Suddenly, another craft of same appearance as first- but much closer- moved directly over our heads. We were calm, excited and in awe. Craft moved out over valley joining other ones. Some seemed to be circling back toward us at higher altitude and further away. Later, one- and then another- went over our head at slightly higher altitude than first two. We continued to watch many crafts moving on opposite side of valley. We are questioning whether we lost some time... some confusion...very surreal.

A Large triangular aircraft passed silently overhead. It had 4 lights in front, a bright light underneath, a wavelike column of yellow-orange light in back.

Last year, on July 2nd, on the 50th Roswell anniversary, I was at my pond with a friend. We saw a very bright light, which looked brighter than Venus, in the Northwestern sky. It was 21:30. It was very high in the sky, and looked like a very bright star. We observed it as it got closer. By 21:40, the sky was dark, the aircraft was very close to us. By that time, we could see 4 lights, two on each side of an inverted, very broad V. The lights looked like the headlights of two cars flying sideways. We could see the air move around the lights, like you can see the air move over a hot road in the summer. The aircraft came down right over us, it was barely over the fir trees around my pond, maybe 100 feet directly above us. There was absolutely no noise, except for a barely audible hum which seemed to encompass everything. There was no noticeable air movement. The aircraft was going very slowly, maybe 20 or 30 mph. At that point, we could see its underside: it was rectangular in shape, light colored, and the very bright light we had seen earlier was right underneath the middle, lighting itself more than the ground. We could see two wings, the tips of which barely went beyond the rectangular underside. The whole aircraft was very large, at least as large as a large commercial airplane. As it started going beyond us, we could see from its outline against the sky that it was triangular in shape, probably dark in color. The back of the aircraft had a vertical column of yellow-orange light. The light moved up and down the column in a seamless wavelike pattern. The pattern was not regular, and when I told my friend that it looked more like a language of some sort than a simple aircraft lighting system, at that very instant, the pattern changed completely. After that, the aircraft started going back up and disappeared behind a hill. I tried to report this sighting to one local newspaper and one TV station the next day. I wanted to find out if anyone else had seen it. I got some chuckles and I did not insist. This year, on July 2nd also, I invited my friend for a sky-watch evening. She could not make it, but 2 other friends came. The sky was perfectly clear. Around 21:30, we saw a very bright light in the South sky, just as I was describing my experience of the previous year. One friend pointed to that light and asked: "You mean to tell me this is a UFO?" Within 2 seconds, the light was gone. It just faded away. My friends went home. Later that night, at 23:00, I went to pick up my daughter from town. On the way back, I saw the same bright light, closer than before, I showed it to my 14 year old daughter, and it was gone before she had a chance to see it. Around midnight, I went outside and saw the same bright light close-by in the Northwest sky. As soon as I concentrated my attention on it, it disappeared. 10 mn later, I looked out my bedroom window and saw the light again in the Western sky. I went to get my binoculars, pointed them at the light, it disappeared. I went to sleep. I am a 49 year old female, and I grow grapes and aromatic plants. I also teach plant propagation. My female friend who saw the large aircraft with me is an herbalist, as are the 2 other friends who saw the lights with me. Neither of us believed or disbelieved the presence of UFOs before.

Object was a black triangle with 3 spot lights in the corners,100 yrds above the trees, hovering and silent.

A black, triangle with 3 white spotlights on the corners, hovered about 100 yards above the trees over the road. I noticed the lights first because I was on a road that had no street lights. Even though it was black and the sighting was at night, It was easy to make out because it was so low.

I slowed the car to a stop and it was directly above me, it looked about as big as house. I pulled the car over and turned it off, the object was completely silent. I drove away quickly, up a hill and around a bend so that I could see the object still hovering where I had been.

As I watched it sped away very very quickly, away from me.

Golden Orb about 3 feet across, moving pretty quickly and smoothly above the hills.

I was twelve years old at the time, and my dad and I were hiking on Mt. St. Helena which is just North of the small town of Calistoga, 66 miles North of San Francisco. I'm not for sure on the date though, or the exact time, but it was late afternoon. We were hiking down the mountain when my dad was stopped watching something in his binoculars. I finally asked him what he was looking at, and without telling me, handed me the binoculars. I looked through them and spotted a golden round orb, which at first I thought was an escaped party balloon. It seemed to be about a mile away, and was maybe 3 feet in diameter. It floated to the right at a good speed and made a U-turn and disappeared behind a hill. My dad later told me that the object was a lot closer than a mile. He thought it was maybe 300 yards away to the East. The sighting seemed to last about 2 minutes. It moved very smoothly, no erratic movements. It was gold and perfectly sphere, about 3 feet across, if it was 300 yards away. I understand orbs are a common UFO sighting and seem to be remotely controlled.

noon in summer, perfect visibility, motionless, 300 yard away, 100 up, area of Tecopa/Baker, 1990, 3 saw.

1 object seen, high noon summers day middle of the dessert about 300 yards west and 100 yards up. Best descrription for shape is almost octogonal cylindrical. Mother and Grandmother with me it hovered absolutely motionless for 10 minutes as we drove towards las vegas from the area of baker or Tecopa (north of baker). white/grey in color no balloon anywhere or poles of anykind holding it as visibility was perfect.
