A red light that hovered in one area and finally moved away at a very high rate of speed.

It was a red, non-blinking light, hovering at a great altitude. It was too high to see any structural detail. It seemed to be circling slowly.

When airplanes headed in that direction, the thing would move off at an extremely high rate of speed. When the airplane moved away, the thing would move back in, again at a high rate of speed.

After about 10 or 15 minutes, it left the area for good, again at a very high rate of speed, much faster than a helicopter or airplane.

MULTIPLE ORANGE FUZZY LIGHTS IN PALO ALTO.

FRIEND TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE WORKING NEAR A GOLF COURSE IN EAST PALO ALTO CALIFORNIA.

AT AROUND 9:15PM, HIM AND ANOTHER PERSON WERE WORKING LATE, PULLING OUT OLD FENCE POSTS, FACING SOUTH, AND OBSERVED ABOUT SEVEN ORANGE BALLS OF LIGHT ABOUT QUARTER OF A MILE AWAY RISE UP WITH EVEN DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM. HE SAID THAT THEY WERE MOVING UP AND DOWN SLIGHTLY LIKE ~~~ AS THEY TRAVELED RISING UP SLOWLY TO AN AN ALTITUDE ABOUT 500' NOT HIGHER THAN ALTITUDE OF A FLYING CESSNA.

A FEW MINUTES AFTER THEY CAME INTO VIEW, THE OBJECTS MADE A SHARP 90 DEGREE TURN, INCREASED SPEED, AND TOOK OFF IN A NORTH EAST DIRECTION.

THE WHOLE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE IN ABOUT SEVEN MINUTES.

ABOUT AN HOUR AFTER SEEING THESE THINGS, FOUR POLICE CAME RUNNING AT US WITH FLASH LIGHTS EVEN THOUGH WE WERE WORKING THERE ALL DAY.

The trail extended over several miles and was illuminated. It was very dark and we could see the illuminated spray against the night sky We considered that it might be a pesticide, but the craft was too high in the sky for that.

Three orange orbs in triangular formation hovering and slowing moving in night sky over East San Jose, the Saratoga hills of South Bay.

Mother and adult son witnessed 3 orange glowing orbs hovering in night sky over area which is in front of Mt. Hamilton, vincinity of East San Jose area.

We were on the top of the East Palo Alto IKEA parking garage, preparing to leave, when I commented on peculiarity of the formation of lights sighted. I am a school teacher, and at first glance, thought the lights may have been planes incoming to one of our 3 major Bay Area airports, however, the lights hovered, did not move in normal gliding pattern of aircraft, and after a minute or so, one orb slowly rose and moved to right above other two orbs. At first they created an isosceles type triangle, then as one orb moved on top, it created a scalene type triangle.

After watching for a few minutes one orb faded out and disappeared only to flash back on a few seconds later. The lights were not of constant brightness but glowed brighter and dimmer as they hovered in the slowly changing triangle.

We needed to leave on 10! 1 South, so asked mother if she still saw them.
she said yes as I was driving. The at that time had moved into a straight line.

We stopped for doughnuts at Krispy Kreme @ Mountain View and did not see lights when we stopped. As we got back onto 85 North the lights reappeared over the Saratoga area above the mountain range there. I again determined that they did not appear to be regular aircraft due to the nature of their movement and how they glowed orange with changing intensity of brightness and how they would glow out and come back to light.

Boomerang Type Craft with Lights in Formation Seen Flying over Palo Alto, Ca on Saturday Night

I was standing out side my apartment complex on Saturday night and decided to walk toward my wife's car at around 905pm in our complex parking lot, and for some reason decided to look up at the night sky to just observe the stars and moon. The moment I looked up I happened to see a black boomerang type craft with 5 or 6 dim lights in formation fly over head at a constant velocity or speed, it was moving rather quickly but smoothly through the sky heading South West from Palo Alto. It did not make any noise at all, However, I could some how faintly see the black glossy structure of the craft and the lights that were in formation. I knew immediately it was a craft of some kind because I could see the black glossy structure, the height of the craft and the constant speed at which it was moving. It was gone out of my sight and view in less than 10 seconds, but it sure did get my attention.

I saw a flat, roundish object at about 400 feet above the trees on the east side of the 280 freeway. Color flowed across it from left to right - red, green, blue. I watched for about 30 seconds when it turned west and appeared to stop - the bands of color then became static and looked like a horizontal bar of color floating in the air. I drove past and couldn't see it in my rear view mirror. A drone? Some sort of weird advertising float? It was moving fairly quickly, so not sure. Very strange.

Cylinder craft with green light appeared and dissapeared over radar satelittle dishes by 280 freeway

I was drivng south on the 280, about a few miles north of the Stanford exit near the large visible radar satellite dishes by the freeway in the early evening and was watching the spectacular full moon rise over the mountains in the background. It wasn't dark enough yet to turn my headlights on in the car as I was driving.

Instantly, a cylinder to cigar shaped object appeared out of thin air in my vantage point as I was looking at the very large profile of the moon. It was a few miles south of me, and about 1000-1500ft above the ground.

The grayish-reflective looking lomg narrow object (cigar or cylinder shaped) was moving in a slightly downward trajectory and moving at a constant speed towards the west. A distinctive green light was visible off the back of it. After 3 seconds from when it appeared it dissapeared in front of my eyes. You would of had to been looking right at it to notice it.

I am positive what I saw, and normal

Falling Ball of Fire on Sand Hill Road 9pm 3/11/09

Driving west{?} on Sand hill Road to hwy 280 I observed what at first I thought was a falling star. It came from the left traveling very fast & at a strange angle across the sky. It was a very large bright colorful ball of fire & became brighter as it passed before me. It had an unusual bright long thick tail & disappeared over the hill. At the next red light I asked the man in the car next to me if he "saw that". He was just as awestruck!

That was an amazing & exciting experience.

Bright luminous spherical moon size object much faster than airplane descending southwest under the clouds in Palo Alto, CA

I was driving south on Charleston street toward El Camino Real.

A round white illuminated spherical object apparently was falling down from the sky…but not straight down. The object was about the size of the moon, it moved fast, much faster than an airplane. I saw it for a few seconds only as it disappeared in the fog below the clouds.

The object was on my right hand side. It looked like it was headed southwest toward either the Dish or Stanford area. I didn’t hear any sound.

Creature's description: They were dark brown, almost black round spherical creatures’ the size of golf balls, they felt soft and furry. They had no wings or any source of flight, they flew in a pair of two, They appeared to be organic! . On November 20, 2005 about 2130 pm I was driving my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser North on Hwy 280 passing Palo Alto, California. I had just passed the Stanford Linier accelerator on my left witch is west just before the Sand Hill blvrd off ramp overpass.. I was driving approximately, 75 MPH and I opened both of my front windows to get some fresh air. Within A few seconds these two dark brown, almost black spherical creatures the size of golf balls, flying at a high rate of speed, hit or lets say collided into my left temple with a velocity that felt like they were passing right through my head and out the front passenger window.

So I rolled up my windows and kept driving until I got home in San Francisco about 10:00 pm. As I got out of my truck I went around to the front passenger side to get my suite case out, so as I opened the door to my surprise one of those creatures flew out and bolted up into the night sky. The next morning I thought about telling my room mates before I went to work but I didn’t think they would believe me, so went out to my truck with my work gear that goes in the front passenger side of my truck and opened the door, and to my surprise the other creature bolted out and flew up into the sky. There was a person walking by my truck as this happened and saw it fly away and he looked at me with a puzzled look on his face and I said I did not know what it was, the man kept walking. A few days later I tried telling my room mates and a few other friends, and they all looked at me like I was crazy, so I kept it to my self and let it stew for a while. The reason I waited to talk to anyone else for while is because I have no physical proof that this happened. I’ve never heard of this kind phenomenon anywhere! And even crazier than that is the fact that it felt like it passed rite through my head! Who the hell is going to believe that? Believe it or not, The feeling was kind of pleasurable. To describe the feeling would be to imagine having a tube that started from your left temple behind your eyes out your right temple, now imagine pulling a piece of mink fur through that tunnel. That's what it felt like. I would like to know if anyone else has ever experienced this kind of phenomenon.

Dozens of Boomerang/V Shaped Formations Floating in the sky from 2:00am-5:00am on 11/20/2005 Witnessed by 4 People.

Went outside to take out the trash at 2:00 AM. It was a clear night sky with a bright moon. I scanned the sky for several minutes as I always do, ever since my wife and I witnessed a sighting on November 18, 2001.

I spent about 5 minutes scanning the sky an then, out of the corner of my eye I noticed a formation of objects with a dim/amber/reddish "glow" float across the sky silently in a "boomerang" shaped formation. The formation was heading North West. Visible for aproximately 15 seconds before going out my line of sight.

As I continued to scan the sky - there were several "formations" of amber glowing objects floating across the sky. One formation after the other. Some in perfect V shaped formation, other formations of various sizes. At one point you could go so far as to describe it as "fleets" of formations.... I ran inside my house to alert my wife. It took about 30 seconds for me to get her off the computer, and run outside to the front of our house and when we looked up in the sky more formations were floating across the sky.

Literally dozens of ambering glowing formations in several minutes. We stayed outside for 30 more minutes but did not see any more objects in the sky, so my wife went back inside I continued to scan the skys, but also went back inside after a few more minutes of non-activity.

At 4:00 AM I had an urge to go check outside again, and within 20 seconds of viewing the night sky from my porch a giant Formation in perfect V shape formation floated beneath the moonlight sky. I observed this for 15 seconds before the formation blended into the night sky.

I told my wife, and I went back outside. In the next 15 minutes I saw 2 more formations float by. At 4:15 AM my 21 year old son and his friend came outside to see what I was doing. I greeted them in the front yard, and told them I was scanning the sky for "formations".

Our son had witnessed these objects with my wife, and I back in February of 2005. And within minutes 1 smaller formation of objects floated across the sky, as witnessed by my self, my son, and his friend. His friend was completely in awe of what he caught a glimpse of.

We scanned the sky for a few minutes before going back inside at 4:30 AM.

At 5:00AM I checked again from my balcony and observed another V Shaped/Boomerang Shaped Amber glowing formation of objects float across the sky.

These Formations/Boomerang Objects have been witnessed several times before since November 18, 2001. One of the reasons I was scanning the Sky tonight was because I had a feeling the sighting my wife and I had in November of 2001 would repeat...and it looks like it did, albeit not as intense as it was on November 18, 2001 .... but still a pretty good show by whatever those boomerang/formations are...

Object following airliner briefly, then moving away from it at a rapid pace. After a few seconds, it disappeared completely

My wife and I were taking some photos at the Montebello Open Space Preserve near Palo Alto, CA, while waiting for the sun to go down (we are amateur astronomers). I saw an airliner in the sky and decided to take some pictures of it. While looking through the camera's viewfinder I saw something just behind the airliner, which appeared to be following it briefly. Then it started moving away fairly quickly. It didn't appear to be dropping from the airliner, since it was moving away in an almost horizontal line. It was white or silver in color, and appeared to be round in shape. After a few seconds the object just vanished. I have several photos of the area of sky the airliner was flying in which show it before the object appeared, the airliner with the object, and the airliner after the object disappeared.

Bright, constant white light with lesser lights flashing in the colors of magenta, green, blue, and purple in the SW sky.

Object apeared as a bright, constant white light with other lights of lesser intensity flashing in the colors of magenta, green, blue, and purple. It was in the southwest sky, about 30-40 degrees elevation. At first we thought it was an aircraft or even venus or mars, but it sort of lazily danced around, swaying and making small circular motions. Both my wife and I viewed it through 10x50 binoculars, and while we were able to view the lights more clearly, we could not make out a specific shape. I called a friend, an amateur stargazer, who lives about 2 miles away, and he was also able to see it both with the naked eye and with the aid of 7x35 bincoulars. He could not explain it either.

V shaped formation floats across sky,

I was walking back home from a Midnight Snack at the local Gas Station. I was one block away from my house when I saw the all too familiar Boomerang Formation floating across the night sky slowly, and silently. The shape shifted from a Y formation, to a classic Chevron shape as it passed by.

I tried to "follow" the formation, but after a block or two it disappeared from my vision. Total time aproximately 15 Seconds.

I ran back home to wake my wife, who has witnessed these formations several times since November 18, 2001. However, she was fast asleep, so I went out with my video camera and stood across the street in a local park where there is no light. I scanned the sky to see if more formations would occur. Almost as expected, within minutes another Formation appeared, it was coming from the South, and heading North West. In all my sightings, they always come from the same direction. I suspect that I might live in the flight path of something. The craft appear to be very high in altitude and very difficult for my video camera to capture.

The formation was a V formation that floated across the sky silently. The moon was bright and after about 15 seconds I lost site of the formation.

I waited a few minutes to see if more would pass by, then I came inside to write this report.

Several V-Shaped Formations of Amber glowing craft float across the night sky

My wife and I woke up shortly before 5:00 AM because for some reason we both could not sleep. I opened the balcony window and looked into the clear night's sky. Within seconds I noticed an amber glowing flying formation floating across the sky heading north west, towards the Direction of the Stanford University Dish.

I immediately called for my wife who watched with me as this formations shape changed ever so slightly from a v-shaped into a straight line, and back into a v shaped formation. The formation was made of several "dots", they could have all been part of 1 craft or perhaps they were each an individual craft.

I immediately ran for my Sony Digital Night Shot video camera and ran outside in the freezing night and attempted to catch the craft on video. My wife followed as we watched several more formations "float" across the sky. Each formation was made up several "dots" and all had a white/amber glow and resemble flocks of flying geese.

There was no noise, and each formation was visible for aproximately 10-15 seconds before going out of view. Each formation seemed to be followed by a smaller formation right behind it.

I attempted to film and am reviewing the footage now to see if the camera picked up the faint images.

My wife and I have had several sightings of these "formations" since November 18, 2001 when we witnessed dozens of the same types of craft fly overhead. Our most recent sighting was this past september of a pulsating Triangle which changed shape and size 3 times.

Moffett Field / NASA Aames Research Center is aproximately 10 Miles south of our location, and we are only a few miles away from the Stanford University Dish.

They always seem to fly in the same direction. This wave lasted till aproximately 5:30AM.

FYI: We noticed a couple of shooting stars, most likely from the meteor shower.

We also find it interesting that these formations appear during Meteor Showers.

I would like to encourage investigators to look into the November 18, 2001 Mass "Boomerang Shaped" Sightings that occured during the Leonid Meteor Showers, and which my wife and I continue to see fly directly over our house. I have no doubt they will appear again, we seem to be in thier "flight path". They always fly in the same direction every time we see them, and it's been several times since 2001.

Triangle Shape Zooms overhead , no noise, pulsates, changes sizes 3 times, then each point of light seperates and zooms off.

At 2:55AM on Sunday Morning September 12 I was on the my computer listening to late night talk shows. My 2 dogs started to scratch at the door rather aggressively, which is unlike them (Lhasa Apso is a small, long-haired dog). I assumed they wanted to go outside to the bathroom. So I gathered their leashes, and walked them outside of my condo.

As the dogs did their business I stood by the side of the entrance way to my condo, I scanned the sky as I always do every chance I get.

I have seen several UFOs since November 18, 2001. I have seen Boomerangs, Flying Triangles, and Orbs. They seem to fly by every November during the Leonid Meteor Showers, and if you want to check for your self, just do an Internet Search for the phrase: Leonid Meteor Showers Boomerang UFOS .

I was conciously thinking about the fact that I do not have my video camera with me, and what I would do if a UFO appeared in the sky. Just as I completed my thought a LARGE Triangle swooshed from behind the Condo and sort of stopped mid air as it was traveeling North. I have seen Triangles before, but this one appeared to "Fall out of the Sky" as if I was seeing a Triangle Constellation of Stars just fall from the sky and sort of "Bounce" in mid air. This Triangle pulsated and changed size aproximately 3 times..... It pulsated and got bigger, and then bigger, and then back to it's "Original" size...... and then each "point of light" seperated from the Triangle Formation and became indpendent lights in the sky. At this point the almost looked like they could be 3 Big Birds or something in the sky playing tricks/dancing... and then Swooooosh..... off they went.... Heading North till they were out of sight, and just disappeared.

It wasn't so much the sighting of this event that is worthy of note. I seem to live in a major hotspot in direct path to the Stanford University Sattellite Dish. I am about 10 Miles north of Moffett Field (NASA/USAF BASE). What made this sighting unique (to me) was the surreal feeling of observing it. I have been having lots of dreams of UFOs lately and look for them whenever I venture outside at night. To be thinking about a UFO and then see it swoosh over you is a very un-real feeling dream like feeling. Especially since I have seen them several times before, and have been having surreal/lucid dreams of "flying triangles".

I know what I know, and if you take the time to research the phenomena of these "Boomerang" and Triangle Craft appearing during the Leonid Meteor Showers you will to. I have this overwhelming urge to encourage people to look up in the sky during this years Leonid Meteor Showers if they want to see that UFOs are real.

This sighting lasted no more than 10 seconds.

As the disappeared from my site, I ran inside to get me wife, (who has witnessed several sightings of Boomerangs, and Triangles with me Since November 18, 2001). We both are having recurring dreams of Triangle Crafts, and other anomalies.

My wife came outside for a few minutes to see if the craft would re-appear, but no such luck. She went back inside, I stayed outside for another 30 minutes or so. I did observe 2 "Shooting Stars" , and what appeared to be strange looking clouds and/or chemtrails in the sky where I saw the Triangle Craft. However, I cant be sure they were Chemtrails or just partly cloudy. It is a clear and beautiful night tonight.

I sitted an image in the sky.

I don't want to research, chat, talk about, listen to stories, learn the history, know or get information about who or where, what, it or they are...

I just want to report want I saw something PERIOD... Reason being, If there is an agency that records these sort of things, here is my imput.

This is the first time I have ever seen an object or this kind of an image in the sky.

On 11/28/003, approximately 5:35 p.m., In Palo Alto, California, I was driving North-West (towards Stanford University) on Embarrcadero. When I got into the left hand lane in order to turn onto Middlefield Road, I saw an image of a large round, well lit object in the sky that was moving. I believe that this object would have been somewhere in the (over) vacinaty of Redwood City, San Carlos, or perhaps South San Francisco. It shocked me. However, I remained calm, turned left on Middlefield Road and just disregarded at just one of those things. Maybe it's true or not.

Once again, I do not wish to be contacted about this.

4 big bright lights hovering over Stanford university area...changing formation...top one arched away and disappeared. Seen from 280 freeway going south by my husband...he called me and I grabbed my camera jumper in the car and viewed them (orange) driving north. Sadly no film in camera. I saw them orange...my husband white. Maybe because sun was setting and viewed from different directions 20 minuets apart. copters and planes near ...many people must of seen as cars were slowing on the freeway and people were out of there cars on side roads viewing. When I turned on my camera I got a good shock…that never happened before.

My family and I attended a birthday party Friday, 9/12/2003 at East Palo Alto, California.

It was an outdoor party and the night sky was very clear. I was eating dinner and I was enjoying the weather at that time. I just finished my dinner and I looked up the sky and there was a lot stars shinning. Suddenly I saw a bright star moving coming from north heading toward south and it was moving at a very good rate of speed. I pointed in out and everyone at the party witnessed the event. I'm not sure what it was, but I'm 100% sure its not a airplane, this thing was look like a glowing star travelling at very high rate of speed and also its round shape.

This could be either a satellite or UFO and I'm pretty sure the are more people witness the event.

white light and gaseous tail resembling a comet tracking through upper atmosphere, which exploded like a firework

I swear I saw this, and I was an Astronomy student, and I have no idea what the hell this was, but here it is. I was looking out my window to watch the sky darken (it was a little before dusk) and I saw what looked like light resembing what you would see when a plane comes in to land in the fog. Judging by the height (it seems as high as a jetliner would fly while cruising) I saw a light with a fog seeming to trail behind it, but I found it strange that if it were an aircraft with a light on in the upper atmosphere the "fog" would be opposite the direction it was moving. Anyway, as it travelled along, I was waiting for what I thought would be where the light would be pointed directly in my direction, when all of the sudden, it exploded into a faint, white fireball, that resembled what looks like a firework burst. All white, with symmetric white arms - just like what you'd see on July 4. Then they fissled out and it was gone. I have never seen anything like this. I'm guessing that it was a meteor, but it was moving so slow, and I have seen those before. There was no "fire trail" or sparks, and it was moving as if it were a jetliner. MAN, I wish I knew.

Air Force Test Missile Out West

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (AP) - An Air Force missile test Thursday provided a spectacular light show seen over California and much of the West, as far away as Utah and New Mexico.

The colorful contrail was seen soon after the unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile blasted off at 7:36 p.m. from an underground silo at the Vandenberg military base north of Santa Barbara.

"The smoke went up in spirals as the sun was setting and turned into an orange, amber color. It was like a flower going into bloom pretty quickly," said Simon Cox, who saw it from a restaurant terrace in Santa Barbara.

The missile traveled about 4,200 miles in about 30 minutes, striking a predetermined target at the Kwajalein Missile Range in the western chain of the Marshall Islands, the Air Force said.

Vandenberg spokeswoman Kelly Gabel said clear conditions were responsible for the spectacular light show.

"We do this two or three times a year, but because the weather was so perfect we decided to launch it early," Gabel said. As a result, people were still awake to see it, and although the sun had set, sunlight below the horizon glinted off unspent fuel particles and water droplets.

"Suddenly we're getting calls from people as far away as New Mexico who saw it and want to know what it is," Gabel said.

The mission was directed by the 576th Flight Test Squadron at Vandenberg and the 341th Space Wing and the 341st Space Wing, from Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana.

The purpose was to test launch systems and the missile's accuracy and reliability.

Bright blue oval-shaped glowing object hovering then proceeding downward

My friend and I were driving west along Campus Drive on the Stanford University campus, heading toward the campus exit at Junipero Serra Blvd. It was approximately 8:45 p.m. Suddenly, through the car's dashboard, we both saw an oval-shaped, hazy-glowing bright blue object in the sky, directly in front of us, perhaps 5000-10,000 feet above the ground(?)(i.e., much lower than a plane's cruising altitude) . It hovered for a few seconds in the sky and then proceeded rapidly downward and disappeared behind some trees. It looked like it landed within a mile or two beyond Junipero Serra, but we did not investigate it further. Also, it seemed like it left a faint trail as it descended downward, but this disappeared. We were astonished; this bright blue "thing" did not resemble a plane, meteor, or any other object that we have ever seen in the sky before. I have seen random lights and other things that I couldn't readily identify before, but nothing that I have ever felt the urge to report on a UFO site. What made this different was that the entire object was blue and glowing (i.e., it was not like a plane with lights on its wings or tail), and the straight downward path was unlike any other flight path that I have seen.

Observers: my companion, female, late 20s, microbiology PhD student at Stanford; myself, female, early 30s, attorney. No prior UFO reporting or researching in our backgrounds.

Strage aircraft with bowed circular wings. This is a flight path for commercial jets leaving San Jose but the shape of this was not like anything I have ever seen. It flew across the sky in a very regular pattern.

Hovering bright disc

Going south on Freeway 101, observed a very bright shiny object (metalic looking) hovering over the Black Mountains towards the west. Like a disc cross section, thicker in the middle and thinner on the sides. Clouds passed in front of it. I could detect portions of it behind the clouds, but then disappeared. First I thought it might be an airplane turning and reflecting sun's light at certain angel of rotation, but did not change shape.

A large amber ball of light responding to spotlight.

I will finally write what we saw. My partner and I worked swing shifts most of our lives and would comute from Woodside, Ca. to Boulder Creek, Ca. every night for 20 years or so. Skyline Blvd is a road on the highest point of mountain range that divides the ocean from the bay area. One can see both the ocean (Pescadaro beach [a few miles north of Santa Cruz, Ca.] to Halfmoon bay)and bay area (San Jose, Ca. to San Francisco on a clear night).

On our way home that morning on a beautiful clear nignt with the moon reflecting from the ocean and shining on the bay area, we saw a large amber ball of light rising from the ocean around Pescadero beach area about 15 miles from the top of the ridge (one can see the waves hit the beach) We were on Skyline Blvd around Palo Alto county. I told my partner to stop so we could observe this object. He didn't want to, so I (as passanger) removed the car keys from ignition which made the car stop in a turn out with a clear view on both sides of the range. This object came toward us about 200 yards away and appr. 100 feet above us and stopped. Our Landcruiser had a spotlight on top of roof, so I signaled directly to this object "SOS" and this object would respond moving slowly up, down, sideways, diaganal, the return to it spot. I repeated this signal many, many times and this large amber ball of light would respond the same way each time for about 15-30minutes. Then all of a sudden it went straight up out of sight within a second leaving a com-trail. Of course with no sound.

I have two more incidences which are very interesting around the same area if you are interested.

Fireball landing, and when inspection attempted, retreating.

In the mid 1950's, on the grounds of Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA, my wife and I were driving late one afternoon on a back road, parallel to and south of to San Fransiquito Creek ( where the Stanford Shopping Center is now ). At that time, it was a "back road." As we were about half a mile west of El Camino Real, a brilliant ball of silvery-white light, about 3 to 6 feet in diameter, came whizzing in from about North-Northwest and landed then bounced a couple of times on the ground approximately 100 feet to our south - in what, at that time, was an empty field bordered by a barbed-wire fence.

Being amazed and wondering, I stopped the car and attempted to get through the barbed wire - to see what the thing was. But, before I could make it through the fence - say in about 5 minutes! - that ball suddenly shot up and retreated back in the direction from which it came.
