Objects high in the sky for a very short time and then disappeared

I must say, as quickly as they came they disappeared. 4th graders were outside at PE, someone looked up yelled and surprise we had this brief showing of whatever. These objects were extremely high, I'm positive birds don't fly that high. Exactly 1 week before, we witnessed a little bit of a different sighing, unfortunately No Picture/Video. In my 15 years, at this school, I've never experienced this.

A strip of green lights in a lateral row, moving sideways and hovering at first, then rotating as if to show off, darted then disappear

I heard a thud around 10:30pm and there have been things disturbed around my home lately so I quickly shut off the lights to look out into the backyard. The yard appeared undisturbed, but then a strip of green lights very high up in the sky caught my attention, moved sideways in an orderly manner at first, and then in a quick motion never seen before by any airplane or helicopter. It then seemed to turn so I could get a better view of it.

I know this sounds crazy, but it seemed to be letting me know that it knew I had seen it… sort of like a confirmation. Then it quickly descended, then darted upward and went behind a tree.

I tried to dismiss it in my mind as a drone so I’ve spent the last hour or so calming myself down and researching on the net. No drone flies that high or moves that way. This was a true sighting. I didn’t think this would ever happen to me. Glad there was someone to report it to.

Wondering if anyone else in the neighborhood saw i! t. They’d have to be looking up at precisely the same time as me because it was only in view for approximately 10-15 seconds. Thank you for collecting this data.

Bright, star like object blasts into space from the ground at a 45 degree angle no sound incredible speed 5 witnesses.

About 5 friends and I were hanging out in front of Baja Fresh at about 2 in the morning when all of a sudden, from the horizon, an extremely bright, star like object (for lack of a better word) blasts off from the ground into space at about a 35-45 degree angle. It launched with incredible speed and no sound.

It got to a point in the sky where it appeared stationary, and started to fade, as it got farther and farther into space.

In my ignorance I've always assumed it was some sort of military launch, which is why it's taken so long for me to come forward with this. Only recently, after looking back into it, have I found that nothing can explain what I saw.

I am suffering from anxiety and stress from not having an explanation from this sighting, as it keeps repeating in my head over and over again, and I really need closure.

We saw two flying saucers around midnight in granada hills going at fast speed around the city following the same route twice.

Me and some friends saw about 3 strange lights paused in the air near a popular hill restaurant The Odyssey. We saw it leaving heading south at an extreme speed. We tried to reach the saucers speed but it was impossible, it would swerve over to one side and fly across to the other. The night was clear and the moon was half a moon. It was flying @ a lower level than other airplanes or helicopters. The weirdest thing is that I took a picture wit my cell phone camera & it came out blurry but I could see a blurry swerving light. Moments later I checkd the pic again and the image I got was dark and nothing came out:I sent it to my email but there was no picture. The other saucer we saw was a triangular shape with 3 white lights and a red one in the middle. This sightings were all seen around midnight and 1am.

i submited a earlier case but this is the full long story .

me and my friend were out side in my front yard on a clear cool day on the weekend i think. we were kicking around my soccer ball until my friend looked up at the sky and saw 5 disk shaped obects with a shiny metalic bottom and a dull top. they were in a star shaped [ a craft at each point ]formation . they would periodical weave in between each other and and freeze in mid air.

after 5 minutes i ran in the house to get a video camera and tell my mom. my freind told me that they would change formation and swirl in a circle . then 10 min into the ordeal , what seemed to be a fighter jet flew past our house chasing the crafts. the crafts munovered into a straight line and poof were gona and the fighter redirected and went off. 3 minutes later a u2 spy plane flew into the area at a low atituld about were the craft were and did a uie and flew back.

Strobing craft over the San Fernando Valley

My home is in the hills, looking south over the San Fernando valley in Los Angeles. I have a 180 degree view of several miles from east to south to west. I observed a source of light due west southwest, in the direction of point magu\Vandenberg Air Force base. The craft was putting off a tremendous amount of strobing light, changing from red to green to blue and white. It was magnitude -3 and about 15 degrees off the western horizon. Viewed through medium power binoculars, I got the sense of a disc or diamond shape. After cruising slowly to the north for approximately 15 minutes, the object abruptly disappeared. After the craft disappeared, several helicopters, both police and civilian (or television) flew through the area. As I often monitor aircraft approaching the area airports (LAX, Burbank and Van Nuys) from my balcony, I am familiar with just about every kind of aircraft, but this was something else -- something I've never seen in Los Angeles before. I've seen craft while skywatching outside the city, but nothing like this.

Extremely bright flash lasting about 1 second from a pin-point in space. Lit up whole backyard. At about 20 deg due West from Zenith.

While looking up at the sky at 8:40 PM PDT viewing an aircraft with strobing white lights, I experienced an extremely bright white flash to my right lasting about 1 second from a pin-point in space that lit up the whole backyard. It was located at about 20 deg due West from Zenith (straight overhead). With my arm fully outstretched, this came out to be about five fist diameters from straight overhead and moving straight west. My right eye just happened to be centered over this spot in the sky and I was able to see the flash move from this pin-point of light to an adjacent star about five star diameters away to the south. I was facing southwest when this event occured. It may be my imagination, but I thought I heard a slight buzzing at the very moment of the flash. (You know how your mind simulates sound when it sees a sequence of lights? Well this is what I mean when it may be my imagination). This is the third time during the past two months that I witnessed such pin-point flashes coming from the sky. The other two occurred within a minute of each other and was just due east of Zenith at about midnight. I was looking out of my kitchen window at the sky (as I do every night during at the top of the hour during Art Bell's program) and I saw this flash. It drew my attention to look in this area closer and I saw another flash from the same spot. Since it has been about two months, perhaps this part of the sky is now 20 degrees due west of Zenith where I saw last night's flash. I will keep looking.

Myself and 3 others were in a car on the freeway when we saw a vertically long flying object moving slowly approximately 4 months ago.

I was traveling to my fathers house with my friend and his mother when his mother started asking what the oddly shaped aircraft in the sky was. At first I ignored her and brushed it off as an airplane without looking out the window of the car for myself. It was when my firend looked out the window that he got my attention and i looked out the right window of the car. We were traveling northbound on the freeway at approx. 65 mph. The craft appeared to be traveling at a slow but not too slow pace, probably around 30-40 mph. Now here's the tricky part. It had a large disc at the top much like the radar discs on military airplanes, but then under the disc was a long cylinder, approx. 20 feet long. That cylinder coned-out and was joined by several slim tubes to another cylinder below it, this one no more than 10 feet long. It had a non-blinking white light directly on top (i saw this because it was quite a bit in front of us when i first saw it), and then 3 purple lights; one on the first cylinder, one on the connecting tubes and one on the very bottom of the lower cylinder. it was all white in color and it was flying very low or so it seemed. It couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 hundred feet off the ground. It was flying at a very slow pace and as we approached the point of intersection where we were to drive directly underneath the craft, while it passed over the freeway, it appeared to stop and hover just before crossing the freeway, and then out of nowhere it jetted off at a rate of about 80-90 mph. It was traveling much faster than it had previously been moving. It was out of sight within a matter of 10 or 15 seconds. Now you must forgive me for being so vague and approximate in my descriptions; it happened at night while i was in a moving car on the freeway and i was very tired at the time. I was fully concious at the time of the incident though. after it disappeared it was simply forgotten of and disregarded as nothing. i have not mentioned anything of this incident to anyone since it happened until! now. I saw your story on channel 7 eyewitness news last night and thought i would share my story with you and leave it to you to figure out what its worth.

Ping-pong size floating ball observed through window in San Fernando Valley, 1962

I believe I was nine years old when the following event occurred, which would make it 1962. I was a good sleeper, but I awoke in the middle of the night one night and decided to turn on my light and read for a while. It was probably about 2:00 am. The entire house (indeed, the entire neighborhood) was dark except for my little lamp which was mounted on the wall above my headboard. I don't know what made me turn my head toward the window, but when I did, I saw an object the size and shape of a ping-pong ball floating slowly toward me, horizontal to the ground. It was as if it were trying to observe me. Of course I was scared to death. I quickly turned out my light, then after a few minutes woke my foster brother who made fun of me for the rest of the time he was with my family. The only explanations I have been able to rationalize have been 1) a moth and 2) a headlight, but only 3) a "probe" of some sort ultimately makes any sense.
