Fast pace with complete immediate stops

I was walking my dog when I look into the sky and see a blue orb with a bright aura fly over head at the speed of a fighter jet maybe even faster. That's when I was like wow what can that be till I looked for it again and it was completely paused in the sky, looked exactly like a star till it moved again from left to right than took an immediate stop again and paused for a good 2 minutes. Than it kept doing doing the same thing till 2 planes flew over head and it completely vanished. I was in complete shock so waited outside for 30-40 mins till I saw it dart up from the ground exactly like a shooting star but this time it was more white and took and immediate stop and stayed there for about 50 secs and began to move thru the sky in a zig zag manner but make immediate stops at pause. Till planes came by again and it disappeared again.

Pulsating orange light.

I am a gas tanker driver and was delivering to Costco when this sighting occurred. I was already looking in the sky when I noticed a bright flash to my right, similar to a camera flash. I looked in that direction, which was south west and sighted a dull orange light traveling to the north east. The light seemed very high up, and seemed similar to a satellite, except for the fact that it was slowly pulsating . The light would dim to almost nothing and then grow bright again about every two seconds. It also seemed to be traveling in a slight arc rather than a straight line.

I know it could not have been a satellite because they only brighten a dim depending on their reflection of the sun beneath our horizon. This object was self illuminated. It had no flashing lights. It only appeared as an orange pulsating light . I followed the light with my eyes until it was no longer visible.

A few minutes later I saw an object that probably was a satellite. It was white in color, traveling in the same direction and did not pulsate. It seemed to disappear from sight as it flew into the earths shadow.

I was born and raised in San Diego very close to the San Diego airport. I am familiar with commercial air traffic. I also lived close to Miramar air base for a long time and am familiar with military air traffic. This object was neither of these. I come from a family of law enforcement officers who are trained observers, and it was ingrained in me.

Sighted 20 to 30 individual objects, white lights, traveling (spaced apart) in the same path from the SW. Heading: approx 65 degrees.

Each object could traverse the viewable area, from SW to NE, in 30 to 40 seconds. Altitude estimated in excess of 100K feet.

Shape shifting flashing ufo knows we are watching it.

My two friends saw something strange in the sky while smoking in the back yard. One of them fetched his high powered video camera and shot a video of it. The object flashed random light patterns. It changed shape constantly. It appeared to be purple, but the outline of the object glowed green. The object moved extremely fast and would change direction on a dime. It would also change shape just as fast. It lingered in the same general sky space for quite a long time and it appears to know it is being watched for it seems to be putting on a show of some sort. Possibly attempting to communicate with the flashing light it emits? After a while it just disappears into the night.

Metallic Cylindrical Shape Object

A cylindrical shaped very shiny metallic object moved South very slowly but at considerable altitude. I thought it was a jet, but it moved way too slowly, no contrail or sound. It moved around and wouldn’t be seen, then shift positions again revealing a cylindrical shaped object without wings or a tail. Finally after approximately 20 minutes it disappeared, not being seen again.

Absolutely massive (two aircraft carriers back to back) black, unlit, high altitude object speeding through the night sky.

This occurred on 10/24/2017.

Last night at approximately 2015 +/- 1 hour, I saw the following.

The conditions were dark, the only light in the sky was coming from celestial bodies. I live in an area with a moderate amount of light pollution, but this was an abnormally clear night with no fog, significant humidity, or other factors which would further degrade visibility.

If it helps to nail down the time, one of the San Diego Sheriff helicopters was flying fairly low in the southeast sky, within a one minute after my observation, going due north. That was a couple of miles southeast of where they normally pass by at that time, as the normal flight path is directly over my house. Its bright red light was on in addition to the mandatory flashing red light, so that was really easy to recognize, and the sound was familiar.

The object itself was discernible at first only because it was blocking out the sky behind it. I thought it was an owl or flock of birds, but quickly realized that it was about the size of two aircraft carriers end to end, based on my estimate of the altitude. I believe it was at about 50,000 feet or higher. Unfortunately, there is just no way for me to guess the altitude. It may have been much lower and smaller than I believe, but it was completely silent and it would have taken a massive amount of engine power to maintain lift (although the shape was less than aerodynamic) on anything that size, so I am unable to comprehend it being any lower. I can't imagine anything being much higher, because of the massive size. My rational brain does not compute that. There was no apparent exhaust or visible means of propulsion, which probably would have been evident at lower altitudes.

It was jet black, although there were six or seven evenly spaced, small, lighter areas on each side of the craft which provided enough contrast so that I could make out the perimeter and track the object itself rather than extrapolating the path based on the stars it was blocking out. It was all very dark and visually difficult to follow, but it was just visible enough for me to report objective facts with absolute certainty.

It was cigar or diamond shaped; the ends were not blunt but there was no way to tell how the ends were specifically shaped from my perspective. It definitely had a length to width ratio of about 1:5 from my vantage point. It was traveling at a high speed regardless of altitude, covering a 20 degree arc of sky in about 30 seconds. It actually looked more like a speeding rail car than an aircraft, just smoothly gliding through the sky. The entire sighting lasted about 45 seconds. At that point, I was no longer able to visually track the object because of light pollution in its general direction. I was quite bewildered.

MCAS Miramar is about ten miles west of the objects apparent position. They do operate various RADAR sites. Montgomery field is a municipal airport which has RADAR, 10 miles southwest, as is the international airport, Lindbergh Field, which would be twenty miles southwest of the apparent object position. Miramar maintains 24 hour "full service" jet intercept ability with at least two pilots and interceptor/fighter jets available at any given time, along with proper ground control and communications. That info was provided by the base Provost Marshall several years ago and is not speculative. It would be worthwhile to verify that again. I have seen an intercept; and can safely say that two fighter jets flying at 3,500 feet with afterburners on over a residential neighborhood is quite audibly (and visually) spectacular at night. This occurred minutes after a sighting which occurred with my family in about 2009. A report was filed on that sighting as well; with the in! vestigation ultimately suggesting that we may have seen the ISS in orbit. Last I checked, the ISS was not a self-luminous saucer shaped object making impossible maneuvers and scaring the hell out of my family and myself, only to be chased by jets less than three minutes after we saw it. But I'm no NASA engineer, that's for sure.

Jets chase a ball of yellow-white light.

So, I decided to take my dog outside to let her do her business, and I heard a jet coming in overhead, so I looked up as I usually do when that happens, and I found the jet and followed it for a couple seconds to see if I could see the jet without its lights blinking. It never occurred to me at the moment that fighter jets don't usually have all their lights off, save for a singular blinking red light.

Then seemingly out of nowhere, right next to it, I saw a yellowish ball of light appear for around four seconds, flying adjacent to the jet, and then it disappeared. I kept watching the jet to see if the light would reappear, and then the ball of light came back for the same duration as before and disappeared again, then it came back again for a total of three times...

It didn't look like any man-made aircraft I had ever seen before, and it did not make a sound like two jets do when flying in unison. It didn't have any blinking lights on it when the large yellowish-white ball of light would fade out. It wasn't very bright and didn't give off a lot of light, but it was clearly visible, and bigger than the jet and a little faster than the jet itself. It seemed as though jet was chasing it.

Two more fighter jets appeared no more than five minutes after the sighting heading in the same direction. At the time of writing this, I heard another jet outside and went to look at it and low and behold, it was flying in the same direction as the other jets and the object. I live relatively near an airbase here in San Diego so the response time of these jets is very fast.

My dog did not react to this sighting, as far as I could tell, because my eyes were glued to the sky.

Strange light and trajectory of spherical object seen offshore west of San Diego,1805 PT, 7 Nov 2015.





I just turned on to the street on which our house is located. Maplewood St Poway CA is a street that basically runs in a northeast to southwest direction and intersects with twin peaks. I was driving east on twin Peaks and turned right heading southwest on Maplewood. I noted a object streaking in a south to north direction through the sky maybe 30 Deg above the horizon leaving a trail that appeared to be 6-12 inches long, as compared to 2-3 fist lengths at arms length. The leading sphere was orange in color. My initial thoughts were a meteor as the object was not really changing elevation. As I was pulling into my driveway a time span from my first sighting, maybe 30 seconds the tail began to dissipate in length to no visible tail. At this point I had gotten out of my vehicle and was walking up to the front door. As I approached the door I yelled for my wife to come check it out as it was changing color from a burnt orange to white and had stopped ! tracking south to north and became stationary. The sphere became extremely bright white and hovered at a constant location with minor oscillations. This transition from moving object to stopped object changing color from orange to bright white was maybe 45 seconds. At this point my wife came outside and I showed her the object. The object then appeared to move in a westerly direction from stationary on a slightly upward trajectory but maybe only a 5 deg increase. It appeared to be moving away and the sphere began to decrease in diameter. There was a bright blue halo trailing the object which became oblong. Over a period of another 45-90 seconds the object continued to receded from our position. However the bluish contrail remained for a additional 5-30 seconds .

For some background I am a mechanical engineer. I worked at CCAFS in FL for a period of one year working for General Dynamics on the Atlas program. I have witnessed more that 6 night launches of vehicle ranging from Delta, Titan, Atlas II & Atlas V and STS. I have seen launches in dead night and near sunset and sunrise.

The brilliant white light which trailed away from our view location was unlike any propulsion system glow I have ever witnessed. The color and shape of the plume was unlike any chemical rocket plume. Additionally the brilliant white color was brighter and very consistent in color density. Again unlike any view I have ever witnessed in the launch industry.

What was out of place? 1. Transitioning from south to north travel at a constant horizon height to stopped. Tail to no tail and change of color.

2. Color of sphere or propulsion.

3. Unlike any medium to large chemical rocket launch I have ever witnessed.

No small missile launched off a military vessel displays this brilliant white propulsion system. I have witnessed launches from VAFB of Atlas, Peacekeeper and Delta from this same location on Maplewood over the years. What can I say I worked in the rocket industry so it was a pleasure to watch night launches especially if they occurred shortly after sunset as you would get good reflection of the vehicle and exhaust.

There is no way this was a military launch.

Location: 12600 block of Robison Boulevard, Poway, CA 92064. Facing northwest, looking toward Rancho Bernardo. We came home at approximately 2045. I noticed that my wife and daughter were standing outside at the top of the stairs (2nd story apartment) looking in the aforementioned direction. I came back outside prior to the appearance of the objects. The objects were viewed in the same approximate vicinity.

My wife was initially looking at a large white bird (I believe that it was an owl, we do see those around here on rare occasions.) I was able to go outside in time to see the bird fly away from a tree just above the mountain horizon. Within 15 seconds of the birds departure, my wife and I witnessed what she described as a fireball moving at a very high speed across the horizon from east to west at perhaps a 20 degree angle, disappearing from view as it went behind the mountains. I witnessed a second object, described later in this report.

Here's my description of what I saw: The first initially looked like a meteor. I've seen plenty of them. After a brief retrospective moment, it seemed odd because this had a distinctive shape and appeared to be much closer than a meteor. We both agreed that the first object did have a "fireball" quality to it, although it was not like anything we have ever seen before. She did not see the second object.

I describe the second object as a rounded disk with a dull, white glow. It did look different than the other object, although the intensity of the light emitted from both objects was similar. The big difference is that I could see a clear disk-shaped outline to the second object. After a brief and partially witnessed vertical climb (partially obstructed by a tree), it went in to a downward dive at a tremendous speed. I'm not qualified by any means to estimate the size or distance of the object, but if I was forced to render an opinion, I'd say that this would be an object 100 feet in diameter at a distance of 10 miles from our viewpoint. That would certainly mean a low-flying object.

I'm a skeptic, I always love a good debunk. I was thinking about meteors and bird flocks, reflections on the birds and such.

The kicker: At 9:00PM, we heard the rumble of jet engines and witnessed two aircraft fly over the area where the objects were witnessed. They were cruising from west to east. This is an uncommon flight path. With the exception of distant commercial flights, we do not ever see military aircraft in that direction. These were jet fighters, I am confident that these were jet fighters, as I have lived near a military airbase for my entire life. I was very surprised to see this. We do have MCAS Miramar about ten miles in the opposite direction, they use a very specific flight path for training and have never to my knowledge done training that requires loud engine noise over civilian territory at night. They do have fighter jets ready to go at any moment, this is a well known fact, although I can't source it for you folks. Sorry! The fighter jets were probably about 15-20 miles away from us and were flying at a low altitude, 8,000-10,000 feet. Please bear in mind that I am not an expert, this is just an estimate based upon my very limited base of knowledge.

This was the first time that either of us had witnessed an event like this. We always hoped that it would happen some day, and this was quite unexpected. Possible debunks: The white bird/owl. We both agree that the first object was not possibly the aforementioned bird, as this was in a slightly different vicinity and looked nothing like a bird. Regarding the second object, I've never seen any flying creature move like that.

We saw what we saw and did our best to transcribe it. We're hoping that somebody else witnessed this and can perhaps explain what we actually did see.

March 2, 2007 around 10:30-11:00pm, I was in my backyard with my dog and I saw a bright blue light go upward, flip over and went downward southeast of Poway, CA. There was no sound and it was only visible for a few seconds.

It scared my dog because as soon as we saw this she ran to the door and started whining to get back inside.

I stayed outside looking in the direction of the object for at least a few minutes and I did not see it again.

I checked the newspaper, etc. and didn’t see that it was reported by others.

The appearance of the object was 2 parallel bright blue lines with one of the lines being shorter than the other. One end of each light line is rounded and the other end pointed with a slight curvature to the line (someone like an elongated teardrop).

Two bright objects floating in the sky, all of the sudden dim and fly away.

At around 9:30 p.m. me and my girlfriend were in a parking lot at a local park just sitting and up in the sky I saw a bright, yellow light. At first I thought it was a really bright star or maybe a planet and I commented on how bright it was because barely any other stars were visible. About 15 minutes later another one of these 'stars' that looked exactly the same appeared above and to the right of the first object, at about a 45 degree angle from it. Now, we thought it was really weird and after about 5 minutes of both of the objects staying in place the second object started to dim and all of the sudden flew to the left and shortly after the first object did the same. It dimmed and flew to the left. We watched them until they disappeared behind some trees. I know it couldn't be a helicoptor or plane because the lights stayed motionless for so long and the glowing of them looked like stars.

I was playing basketball and when I shot, I looked in the air and saw a little dot of light moving between the clouds. It moved forwards and back and turned several times. Soon it sped off to the SSE and about 5 minutes later, a helicopter flew in that direction very low (It was a dark military helicopter with a bubble on top of the rotors) Soon after the first helicopter came 2 F/A 18 hornets flying very low and broke the sound barrier going in the same direction. Shortly thereafter, in the same direction, came a large troop-carrying helicpter that was also very dark. i stood in my coul-asac and watched this as it took place and my dad was with me most of the time, he even witnessed the object. If it means anything, this took place after a large-ish earthquake.

Dull silver craft with a group of multicolored lights in the center, spinning across the sky, lights at *wing* tips.

I was watching tv, and since this was summer break, it was pretty late. I saw out of the top of the window. It had a small group of lights in the center, one red, one yellow, one blue, one green. They were all clearly visible. I would estimate the craft at helicopter height, for it was a cloudy night, and it was below the cover. at the tip of each, well, tip was a light that changed from red, to yello, to white. It was spinning and I could clearly see the shape in the night, it wasn't black, but kind of a dull platinum, the craft I mean, and I ran outside into the cold-a-sac to get a better view. It actually came back towards me a bit before going the direction it was a second a go, when it got to the point where it was about to be hidden behind a hill, it spun very rapidly and all of the lights turned green, then it litterally *poof*ed away, and it left a bit of smoke behind, needless to say, I couldn't sleep for the rest of the morning.

Very strange, luminous blue "cloud" at around 8:pm.

My girlfriend and I both witnessed a strange neon blue cloud in the sky, just after 8:pm. Cloud is the best word I could use to describe it, but its shape was too strange and defined to be an actual cloud. At first it looked sort of like a beam from a flood light, only with no origin. It had defined edges, like from a flashlight, but at the end of the "cloud" it changed direction, with a sort of triangular point. The sky was not totally black yet, but there were no other clouds in the sky what so ever. This "cloud"/thing was definatlly luminous. It didn't move or do anything else strange, but in all my life I've never seen anything else like it. My girlfriend agreed that she'd never seen anything like it. The next day at work, two co-workers said they saw the same thing, but one of them said they saw something in addition. In her desription, she said she first saw a bright light in the sky, brighter than the moon and about as large as a basketball. It put out three beams of light, one from each side and one from the middle. She went in her house to go get her mother to see it, but when she came out it was gone, and all that was left was that blue neon "cloud" in its place. I looked in the local newspapers the next few days, but saw no reports of this strange occurence, which made me delay in make any report myself. I've never made a report before, but this was that strange. Even stranger was that two days in that same week, prior to the blue "cloud" I saw some strange things in the sky at a far distance. Both in daylight hours, and one of the times with my girlfriend their with me while we were washing the car. She is also skeptical about ufo's and things, but she agreed on both occurences that what we saw was clearly unidentifiable. I've read only one report the was very similar to the luminous blue "cloud" I had seen, which is partially what made me give mine as well.

This is the second sighting in 3 weeks. first sighting 3 weeks ago was a large black object low in sky trailing a blue green red tail. It made the papers and was seen as far away as Los angeles. Second sighting last nite was seen from back yard and looked like a fireball. First event witnessed by scores. Last nites was seen by my neighbors and me.

Vertical cylinder, gold and hot, bright light on the bottom.

Unlike the one on Sept. 11, this was not reported in the paper the next day. This object was hovering just above the horizon and was a brrilliant gold and was a vertical tube shape. It had a reflective looking bright light on the bottom that seemed to radiate light even though it was not dark out. Unlike the Flash from 9-11, this was not reported and I have found know one who saw what I saw. Thank you.

lights in the shape of a "V" were observed by approx 12 people, nobody had an explanation of what they saw, and nobody had ever seen such an object like this before. The lights were very dim, and appeared to run along the sides of the object. No colored or flashing lights were observed. The lights were about as bright as a satellite catching the light and shining dimly just after sunset. There were +/- five lights running along the two longer sides of the triangle. No lights were seen on what would have been the base of the triangle. It was not possible to determine if the object was the shape of a solid triangle or if it was boomeranged shaped. One of the lights on the object was not in line with the rest of the lights.

On September 20, 1997 at approx 9:15 p.m. over San Diego (observed from the suburb of Poway which is 15 miles north of downtown San Diego) lights in the shape of a "V" were observed by approx 12 people, nobody had an explanation of what they saw, and nobody had ever seen such an object like this before. She and her husband telephoned the Center to say that they were watching a "bunch of lights--flashing" in the sky.

The husband was uncertain which direction they were looking. Both observers stated that the object was moving.

They succeeded in getting approximately 5 minutes of footage on a video camcorder.

Saw 2 points of light moving slowly across sky then after 11 minutes, 1 of them streaked off towards the east and was gone in 10-12 seconds.

I was taking a lunchtime walk around an industrial area in Poway, CA on 02/23/96. At approximately 12:40 pm, I was heading in a NNW direction on Stowe Road, 1/4 mile north of Scripps-Poway Pkwy. I looked up into the sky and noticed a white point of light about 60 degrees above the northern horizon. It was slowly moving toward the south. The weather conditions at the time were as follows: mostly clear skies, scattered cirrus clouds, temperature about 65 degrees, winds from the SSW (both at the surface and aloft), with wind speed about 10 mph at ground level. By 12:43 pm, the object became stationary at a position about 70 degrees above the northern horizon. It appeared to hover in that position until 12:45 pm, when another similar object "blinked on" just to the east of the first object. At that moment, both objects began to move fairly slowly towards the west, with the first object pulling slightly away from the second. Both objects appeared to pass under the cirrus clouds in the area. At 12:49 pm, the first object changed direction towards the SW. The second object continued to move toward the west. The distance between the two objects continued to increase to the point where I could no longer keep both of them in a single field of view. At 12:51 pm, the first object was approximately 50 degrees above the western horizon when it suddenly streaked across the sky from west to east and disappeared over the eastern horizon. The elapsed time of this high-speed exit from the area was 10-12 seconds. I immediately looked back to where the other object had been, but it was gone. I did not see it leave. I have made the following conservative altitude and velocity estimates: 1. Scattered cirrus clouds at approximately 25000 feet 2. Both objects were below the cirrus clouds. 3. Distance travelled by first object during high-speed exit from the area assuming altitude of 15000 feet = 25-75 miles 4. Estimated velocity of first object during high-speed exit = 6000-18000 mph It is clear to me that these objects were not conventional airplanes, balloons, meteors, stars, etc. They moved against the wind, hovered and displayed high-speed characteristics beyond anything that I've ever seen or heard. At no time did I hear any sound from either of the objects. There was no sonic boom during the high-speed maneuver. Both objects appeared as white points of light with no other details observed. They were both clearly under intelligent control. The sighting took place in an area where there were frequent flybys of Navy F-14 and F-18 fighters returning to Miramar from training exercises over the Pacific. However, no military or civilian aircraft were seen in the immediate area over the entire duration of the sighting. I believe my estimates of altitude and velocity are conservative, my gut feeling is that these objects may have been at an altitude closer to 25000 feet and the velocity during the high-speed maneuver may have been more like 20000-25000 mph. I have worked on in thunderstorm research and am quite familiar with many kinds of atmospheric phenomena.

Rainbow colored cloud that changed colors constantly, hovering just above treeline.

Mom was bringing me to school and once we got in the car I noticed a "cloud" that seemed to hover just above the tree line that was filled with the colors of the rainbow, although they were always changing, similar to a soap bubble. What was strange was that it was so low, the fact that it was the only thing in the sky, and it was too warm to have ice crystals in the air. I brought my mother's attention to it and we stopped in the could-a-sac long enough to see it change colors multiple times. We then ran to a neighbor's house and pointed it out to her. She didn't believe that what we saw was anything special. Later on we heard that :clouds" like this should be reported as a ufo.
