It was like looking at the night sky but in the day time. From about 30 to 40 objects as if they were forming patterns in the sky. Then I took out my phone and filmed for about a minute and 15 seconds. Incredible.....

It was triangle or pyramid shaped it had three lights one on each corner it was black and made no sounds as it was flying over head.

Fleet of silver/white chevron shaped UFO craft

I was driving North on the 605 freeway Dec. 23, 2022 @12:35 pm (with my spouse and my son) heading to L.A., and as the traffic slowed down to a crawl and momentary stop, I suddenly noticed up in the sky ahead a fleet of chevron shaped flying objects moving in unison in a semi circular to and fro pattern. They all were a shiny metallic color with a white top or bottom, it was difficult to discern as they were moving and when they did their turns they would completely disappear from the naked eye and then immediately reappear and continue to do their maneuver in unison. They did this for approximately 3 minutes, maybe a bit longer, then they just vanished. And by vanished, I mean they disappeared. They didn't fly anywhere else or towards another direction, they just completely instantly vanished.

3 bright flashes like lightning

I was driving northbound on the 605 freeway it was between Whittier and Montebello. It was in the evening between 7:00pm to 7:30pm. Traffic began to build up then to a complete standstill. Then all of a sudden 3or4 bright flashes of bright green hues like lightning without bolts coming from the ground not the sky. Then traffic begins to move as I drove more down there was a 3 car collision on the southbound 605 carpool lane no fire. Very weird thought bombs were being dropped.

At Around 14:20 pm I was having a conversation with a co-worker and as he walked away to speak to the supervisor, I looked at the sky because I felt as if something was watching me and pulled my  phone out to record what appeared to be a UFO right above me and for about 5 minutes I managed to record some videos of the incident. When I got home to review my footage I noticed that there were 2 but off and on the second one would faze in and out.

The object looked white in the middle and was casting a shadow around itself when pausing the video, zooming and taking screen shots.

One cluster (cluster A) was flying low in the sky (like a typical airplane height) and was being paced by a much smaller single light. The smaller light eventually continued at a faster pace towards the north/west until it disappeared. Then at a much higher position another cluster of lights (cluster B) appeared moving across the sky south to north. Both clusters eventually lined up one above the other but from my perspective they were probably on the same “plane.” At this point they both rose higher and went in opposite directions. I lost sight of cluster B as it headed more towards the west and was getting smaller until it blended in with the stars in the sky (size wise). Cluster A was much more easier to track as it headed towards the east and almost directly above me. Both clusters when I first saw them were much larger in scale almost blimp like or hot air balloon in size. Cluster A kept getting higher and also starting to blend in with the size of the ! night stars. Cluster A moved close to the Little Dipper and then headed back towards the west where the light pollution eventually made it almost impossible to keep track of. I actually laid down on the ground to monitor cluster A because my neck started to hurt. I tracked it for over 40 minutes. I also have very grainy iPhone footage that I hastily filmed for 3 minutes but is very hard to see because of the distance. But you can see both clusters as they lined up with each other shortly after I first saw them.

Bright star-like object seen moving east to west over the Los Angeles area around sunset.

On April 19, 2019, at approximately 7:15 pm, I was driving northbound in Whittier, CA (zip code 90605). At a red light, I observed what appeared to be star. I thought it was unusual for a start to be out so early at that time of day and then noticed that it was moving.

The object was very high in the sky – well above the flight path of planes returning to LAX. The object was moving west. It did not change direction.

Once I arrived home, approximately 4 minutes after my initial viewing, I spotted the object. I continued westbound and slowly faded into the sunset. I did not observe any kind of tail or smoke streak from the object.

Three Blinking lights underneath

Driving back home from school and I noticed there were 3 lights in the sky not far off the ground (About 20 or 30 feet?) I thought it must have been and airplane or helicopter (it resembled the same kind of lights you would see underneath a plane) but discarded that idea realizing it was to close off the ground and it stayed in one place, not moving! The lights were blinking in the colors of red, blue, and green.

I slowed down looking up in passing underneath it and drove home. Turned around to go back and try to see it again but it was gone. Weirdest thing I have EVER saw!!

Irregular flight of round objects with wings and a private Cessna aircraft in pursuit.

On 1/15/2015, at approximately 1311 hrs., while standing in the backyard of my residence in Whittier, California, I happened to look up, and facing to the north and about 11 o’clock, with clear blue sky and no clouds, I began to observe what appeared to be a flock of approximately 20-25 geese traveling due east in a V flying formation from my left to right side at approximately 1,500-2,000 feet in altitude.

As I continued to watch I tried to identify exactly what type of birds I was observing. While squinting, I was able to make out white wings with black on the tips.

As I continued watching their flight I began to notice several oddities, (1), the flight seemed to be moving at a speed too fast for geese in flight, (2), I also noticed that the wings on all the objects were not moving at all during the entire flight of the formation, (3), there wasn't any noise as they passed directly overhead, (4), I did not observe a head, neck, or tail to the bird/object, but then noticed that the main body of the objects were perfectly round with a silver translucence color such as a balloon.

My next thought was just that, a string of balloons with wings held together by a string. As I continued to watch the formation it was starting to become obscured by the house roof, so I immediately walked to the front of the house and resumed watching the formation, when at this time the entire formation stopped and ‘all’ the objects broke from the V-formation and began to do random irregular circular movements in all directions.

At this moment I briskly walked about 15 feet to the front door of the house and yelled to both of my daughters (19 and 16 years old) to come out to see what I was watching. Upon both daughters stepping outside and standing next to me I pointed out the objects still doing random movements while still in one spot.

While this continued I ran into the garage and grabbed my small binoculars from my roll along tool box and returned to the driveway next to my girls and started viewing this event th! rough them. About 30-45 seconds later, all the objects stopped their respective random movements and began moving again due east and formed back into a V-formation at their original speed of approximately 125-150 mph.

As all three of us watched them travel eastward, I then observed a private aircraft (Cessna) appear from a northeast direction flying towards us and then began a hard left turn, exposing the full underside profile of the plane which then leveled out and headed directly towards the objects in the V-formation.

As the Cessna approached the main V formation 2-3 of the objects from the right side of the V-formation broke off and began traveling due south with the Cessna, making a corrected turn to the right and pursuing the 2-3 objects which seemed to be a little faster.

About 10-15 seconds went by as we watched the main formation starting to disappear to the east when I tried to relocate the Cessna and the 2-3 objects I then observed the objects make a 90 degree left turn a! nd resume heading due east in the same direction as the main formation with the Cessna also making a steep left turn in pursuit.

Within approximately 15-25 seconds both the plane and objects had blended into the horizon.

In disbelief as to what I had just witnessed I went into the house and sat at the laptop and pulled up a phone number and made two attempts to call Fullerton airport, both calls went to voice mail.

I called Riverside Airport and spoke to the airport manager which showed some interest. I also called Whittier police dispatcher which had no calls of the sighting. I called ABC news, nothing. I called Whittier Daily news, nothing. At this time it seems only my girls and I had seen this event to date.

It was at this time I returned to the laptop and began any searches of sightings and came across the Nat’l UFO Reporting Center which advised me to follow up with a written report of the incident, as well as my daughters.

Please be advised that a drawing of the objects sighted will be made available. At this present time, I would not mind having contact with a representative or Peter Davenport.

Large light and small light over Southeast L.A. County

At 6:40 p.m. on Saturday evening, September 28, 2013, I was parked on Whittier Blvd b/t Painter Avenue and Strub Avenue, when I noticed far in the distance a large but bright white light hovering high in the sky. I estimate the large light was approximately 10-15 miles away, to the northwest of my location, which would possibly place it closer to Los Angeles International Airport.

For about 10 minutes, I simply watched it hover in the sky. During this time, I noticed a helicopter flying towards the northwest in the general direction of the light, but the helicopter was flying far below where this object was located in the sky, and it did not appear that the helicopter had seen or was targeting the object. At approximately 6:50 p.m. the large light began to drift slowly towards the north. Then, a second, very small white light suddenly appeared above the first light, and appeared to be moving towards the larger object. At this point, I was distracted by a small crowd of people, but I did take the time to point out the large light to a couple near me, who did indicate that they did see it as well. I looked up again a couple of minutes later, at approximately 6:55 p.m., and both objects had disappeared.

2 Large round red pulsating objects in the sky appeared to be on fire. Seen by 5 people in Whittier, CA.

We were walking in the evening and we noticed a large bright red circular shape light in the sky. It appeared to be on fire. It was pulsating. It had a white light in the middle of it.

At first we thought it was a Chinese lantern but it never lost its glow. It remained there for a little bit, above the trees then slowly ascended into the sky then disappeared.

A few minutes later same area but a little to the left it appeared again but this time it proceeded to come down towards us, as if it saw us looking at it.

It stopped at the trees then it ascended slowly into the sky then it too disappeared.

I was outside in my back yard last night when I saw around 13 to at least 15 large orb shaped like objects in the sky flying in some sort of pattern.

They were extremely bright in color and moved around each other. They also seemed to change in color as they moved around, from yellowish to bright orange/red.

After a few minutes these objects seemed to fly straight up into the night sky and just disappear, however, 3 of the orbs hung longer than the rest but eventually they to just disappeared.

plasma like translucent ufo shaped like a clown shoe's sole, or sea creature, colorful. but fast moving, biological ufo?

Dear Sir; I saw , what I believe to be a "translucent biological? ufo" traveling from east to west, fast. Reds, blues, other colors, and flexible? Silent. LAX also uses the same path 24/7. NOT THE SAME kind of craft, and they ( commercial aircraft - jets ) were also in the air at the same time, maybe 4-8 preparing to land, as always!!

Perhaps this craft wanted "blend in"? Larger than a small plane, yet you could see through it!. It passed where the LAX airport was and continued (north of airport) travling east fast as a jet! Fantastic.

This UFO I estimate was below Jet's airspace, but above smaller crafts air space. No camera pictures in time, maybe 30-45 seconds total duration, from just "east / overhead, to western horizon".

Weather: crispy clear tonight! Stars crispy and clear like after a rain.

Went to walk dog in the front facing south then saw a red object traveling east to west eject very small white objects ( 2 or 3 ). Object seemed to disappear only to reappear and eject another white object. Then disappeared (blinked out).

DATE:  08/01/2010 TIME:  APPROXIMATELY 0104HRS PST LOCATION:  WHITTIER, CALIFORNIA USA CAMERA:  PANASONIC LUMIX FZ28 WHILE CHATTING OUTDOORS WITH A FRIEND I SPOTTED A LIGHTED CRAFT IN THE SKY ON A NORTHBOUND HEADING COMING IN FROM THE SOUTH.  THE CRAFT TRAVELED PROGRESSIVELY NEARER TO OUR LOCATION WHILE GAINING ALTITUDE. THE CRAFT SEEMED ODD PER ITS CONSIDERABLE SPEED, LACK OF BLINKING LIGHTS AND LACK OF SOUND.  AT APPROXIMATELY 0105HRS I RETRIEVED MY CAMERA FROM MY HOME WHILE MY FRIEND REMAINED OUTSIDE TO MONITOR THE CRAFT'S HEADING (APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS).  AT APPROXIMATELY 0106HRS THE CRAFT STOPPED ITS HEADING AND BEGAN TO ACCELERATE IMMEDIATELY UPWARD.  MY FRIEND NOTICED A PENDULAR MOTION TO THE CRAFT THAT I AM UNABLE TO CONFIRM AS I WAS STARING AT MY CAMERA'S DISPLAY SCREEN AND ATTEMPTING TO SECURE AS MANY PHOTOGRAPHS AS POSSIBLE BEFORE LOSING SIGHT OF IT.  THE CRAFT CONTINUED UPWARD UNTIL IT WAS NO LONGER VISIBLE (APPROXIMATELY 0107HRS).  I WAS ABLE TO SECURE SOME PHOTOGRAPHS BUT NO VIDEO.

My wife and I were loading our kids into her car. She pointed to the sky and stated to me what's that. I looked up and saw a round craft with white lights going around the craft in a circular motion. The disk was flying low and emitted no noise. the object had a continous small red light on top of it. The object was moving slow and i lost it in the trees. My wife sketched what she saw the next morning and what she sketched was a picture of saucer which you see in the movies. We were very confused and mesmerized by this event. Never seen such a thing.

Thick bright light travels across southern California then disappears?

I went outside just to look at the night sky for no particular reason, then i saw a thick bright light heading in the direction of north east. It was traveling very slow, at first i thought it was an aircraft, then i realized it had no blinking lights then about 3 seconds later it completely faded away.

I have no idea nor explanation what it could of been, i know i have pretty good judgment to separate fact or fiction, but this light that completely disappear after traveling very slow completely baffled me.

One jumping light dissapears,

Me and my girlfriend spot a constant light going across the sky before we get into my car. Although intrigued we get into my car and drive to my house.

15 minutes after ,while driving, me and my girlfriend see a helicopter and a very constant unwavering light behind it. Seconds later the same light jumps a considerable amount across the sky. Our attention peaked and we pulled off the road to see what it was, when it disappeared.

Fast moving Fireball over Whittier, CA

At approximately 8:20 pm January 29,2009 my wife and I were taking a walk with our daughter when my wife saw a bright white light appear in the sky out of nowhere from the Northwest. The light was as bright as the evening star. We were walking near the corner of Citrustree and Santa Gertrudes in East Whittier. It then disappeared, but then reappeared very faint. It continued to travel at a high rate of speed getting larger as it came closer to us. The light traveled in a Southeast direction, but change color from white to orange to red then back to white. Each color lasting for for a few seconds. There were no trademark flashing lights like aircraft, and it was not in the typical flight pattern of this area. We have lived here in Whittier, CA our whole life right under the LAX final approach pattern and it looked nothing like an aircraft. It was traveling much too fast to be an airplane or helicopter. There was no sound. After watching this for about 3 to 4 minutes the the Fireball vanished into thin air. We continued to watch the area for another few minutes and nothing could be seen.

Object at High Altitude Over Whittier/San Gabriel Valley

At approximately 14:45 hours, I noticed at a very high altitude what appeared to be an object, moving rather slowly, that appeared white in color. I stress that this object was flying at an extremely high altitude, though I don't know how high--I don't think I've ever seen anything moving at that high of an altitude.

The only reason I noticed it is due to a law enforcement helicopter that was circling my neighborhood--I went to the window, looked up, and noticed the object out of the corner of my eye. I watched it for several minutes, then lost track of it.

3 lights in the sky stationary. uniform horizontally

I saw 1 object out my window as i lay to go to bed that caught my eye. It blinked and moved slowly in that one area. Catching my eye because i can see it go in and out of my blinds. I looked out the window and saw 2 other solid lights which looked like starts. Colored incandescent almost amber-like.

Nothing out of the ordinary? I've slept with my blinds open for the 3 years Ive lived here and am used to seeing planes en route to LAX and helicopter flying around. This is the first time anything unusual has caught my eye. The two stationary objects looked like pinholes in the sky. As I look at the stars, they shimmer and have a bluish white color.

All 3 objects looked very far. they were in the same area for approx 45min, then i fell asleep

The sighting happend in the front of my neighbors house,everyone was outside and we were all celebrating new years eve.My neighbors dad called out to everyone to look up at the sky.Everyone there looked and immediatley seen what he was pointing out.It was a large orange/yellow light that was heading to our south.The light was brighter than anything out in the sky and looked to be traveling at a low altitude,about a bit higher than the avergage passenger jet travels.It was also traveling at a very slow speed.Everyone confirmed that we were all witnessing the same thing.I noticed sparks faling down from the object that dissaperred after about 2 seconds.The object made no sound.My neighbors dad was able to get binoculars and he said that it was spinning and had some sort of shadow.The object then curved towards our east and slowly blinked into nothing,it then blinked on and off a few more times then dissappered.Im not saying it was aliens but this was something very strange.

I stepped out of my apartment to have smoke and my room mate came also,as we lit up Ilooked up in to partly clouded sky and there it was near the same place it was seen two nights ago,except this time it was in bright day light. It looked round and grey and it houvered, my room mate said that it's probably a toy balloon and went in to the apartment,

I then called one of my neighbors on my cell phone to come and see.

Then the object went from north west into a full u-turn and headed south untill it went behind a huge white cloud ,by then my neighbor came out to see but it was gone.

Amazing sighting in Whittier. (Frequent sighting)

This happens quite often in Whittier, CA. If you are familiar with Whittier, especially uptown, If you're lucky and keep a lookout west...

these flickering (orange, green, yellow, red) lights (crafts) will hover over and under one another while remaining in the same general area. The event usually will last 45 Min. to 1 Hour while the lights get tremendously bright.

After the 45 Min. or so has past, they just vanish, like someone has turned off a light-switch. The sight is pretty amazing if you have not seen it, and for the first time viewers... it usually scares the holy heck out of them and then the amazement sets in.

Red Shimmering Object over Whittier California

I live in Whittier Ca. I recieved a phonecall from my husband on Friday March 10,06 about 8:40pm telling me to run outside and view this big red light object in the sky.

I ran out with the cordless phone still in hand. He was about 2 miles or so from home at his Dad's house off of Meyer and Imperial. As he had arrived at his dads getting off his car he said he looked up at the moon, (1/4 moon that night), and saw this big glowing red object. As he watched it for a minute or so, it appeared to be dropping something or shooting something out the bottom. He said it looked like possible flames, or lights.

As I viewed from my front yard, it was stationary. It sat at about 2 miles or so in the south/east sky, I was looking towards the right and up from my driveway. It's kind of hard to judge the distance from me. It wasn't real high up either, but it shimmered a vibrant red that you really couldn't get an accurate shape of it. It appeared as being oval. Now thinking back, I'd say with an arms length measurement, it appeared to be about the size of a hot air balloon, not too high up and not too low.

We were experiencing a storm from Alaska at this time, but the skies were pretty clear. There was some clouds around, but not in the area of this object. The sky was really clear in the area it was.

As I watched it in awe I began calling alot of family and friends so they could see it. In years past I have viewed some strange objects, etc, and I wanted everyone I know in this area to see this. The only ones I got a hold of were my two brothers. One, who lives in Montebello, and the other who was visiting here from Hesperia. He had been here earlier in the day and went to do some visiting in Montebello, taking my youngest son with him.

It was stationed in this position for about 5 minutes, then slowly started moving towards the north/east, and then became stationary again. This time I was looking at it directly infront of me. It sat directly above the house across the street now, and just to the right lower area of the moon.

As it sat there for about 7 to 10 minutes it started doing a slow flashing. It would go off and on with a duration of about 4 seconds in between flashes. It flashed this way maybe about 5-6 times, then stopped.

I live on a busy street, Gunn Ave and Mulberry Dr, and I can't believe that all the cars driving by didn't even notice it. Nobody was pulling over to look at it! At about this time, my brother and son arrived. I had called them on the cell phone to tell them about it. They were on their way here to Whittier from Montebello. They weren't even a full mile from here when I called. They pulled over and saw it from the intersection of Laurel and Lambert, then kept driving here keeping it in view.

When they arrived, it was still stationary across the street from my house. We watched it as it started to flash again with the same amount of duration. As I watched with them now for another 5 minutes or so, it started to slowly move again, still going in a north/east looking direction.

It stopped again. This time it looked to be in the area of Whittier Blvd and maybe Colima. It appeared smaller at this distance, but you could still see it. It became stationary again, and started to again flash a few times.

At one point it went totally dark, like it had disappeared. It was out for about 10 seconds, then came back on. It started moving further away, and by this time the clouds in that area of the sky from the storm seemed to swallow it up and we couldn't see it any longer.

Upon discussing with my brother from Montebello of his account from that distance away, he was able to run and get his binoculars. I could have ran in my house to get a camera, but was afraid I would miss something, so I just watched and called everyone.

He said through the binoculars, even at a distance of about 8 miles west of my house that the object appeared to be of a triangle shape. He must of had some good binoculars, because I thought it looked to be oval. Again it was shimmering alot, so I couldn't see the exact outline of it. At one point he said a different colored light on each end of the triangle came on. A green one, yellow one, and I think he said a red one. To me, the whole time it appeared to be a very vibrant ruby red shimmer. When I saw it flashing on and off, he said that it was flipping. The kind of flipping you would get from flipping a coin. From his distance, he said at arms length it appeared to be the size of his thumb.

I can't explain the differences in our views of the shape, only that he may of had an advantage with using the binoculars.

It was just an awesome sight to see! When discussing its viewing with my husband later in the evening, he said the flight pattern of the airplanes seemed to have changed too, as if being diverted away at a further distance. My son also commented at the time of the viewing that its strange we weren't seeing any jets being sent out to investigate. Didn't anybody else see it???

I also remembered a few years back that a very similar object had been spotted in Montebello and Monterey Park Ca too. It came out in the Montebello Newspaper. I also found it posted on this site:

I wanted to go to the liquor store to buy some cigarets and I asked my son to come along when I stepped out of my apartment and I saw it again ,near the same location as before ,so I called my other room mate to come out and she did ,she took one look and she ran back inside ,then I knocked on my neighbore next door and she came out again and she saw it too ,but this time another lite came from it and went strait down ,I then called another person on my cell phone to hurry and come and see ,she also lives down staires from me and she also came out .By this time another light came out ,just like the other one and it disapeared too,so that's a total of three lights this time .After that it flew towards the east slowly till we had to go into the streat till it faded away .After that it would blink off and on from time to time till it completely went away.Two other people saw it to as they came out of their apartment as well.

I had just arrived home from work and one of my room mates follwed as I went into my apartmet.I went ahead and put my things away from work when I remembered that I had a present for the boy next door, so I grabbed it and I went to the apartment next door and I nocked at her door when I glanced out of the corner of my left eye a dark brite light pircing through the partly clouded north west sky ,I went ahead and gave my neibor the present when I looked again and said to her what the hell is that and my son just came home from work too and I showed it to him and then my other room mate came out and saw it too. At this point all four of us saw it,I then went down stairs to get another prerson when my son said that it began to spark and started to fall down wards, then it bagan to blink as it moved away towards the north until it. moved away from site.

It was a red, round ball close to the moon and every few minutes it moved east and stopped. When it did, it blinked about 3 times and stopped. Then about 5 minutes more it moved on and stopped again, blinked 3 times and stopped till it went off towards the west and could not see it anymore.

I was standing in front of a secound story apt.looking up when I saw it, I thought it was a birthday balloon silver in color as it moved across the sky it shined light chrome at first ,I thought to myself it must be a ballon ,but then it turned bright red on the right side of it.

Then I was convinced that it was not just a birthday balloon flying across the sky. It came from the south and traveled north until it flewed away.

I have been living in this area 20 years and this has been a hot spot for some time.

Unblinking red light motionless for over one hour in the sky.

A very red starlight object hovered motionless in the WNW sky. Not orange-red, not blood-red, just pure red. Approximate magnitude 2.0, 45 degrees above the horizon. I don't know if it was the same object, or perhaps a second object, one hour later it was five degrees to the south (still 45 degrees above the horizon. It never blinked or changed in any way. The pure red color drew the eye. I watched it for 20 minutes the first time. Since I was already outside with my telescope looking at Mars (which was in the opposite sky), I looked at this object through my telescope. I could discern no shape, or even source of the light (was not reflecting light they way lights on standard aircraft tend to do.) Therefore all I could see through the telescope was a "very red star" surrounded by darkness. When I looked at it an hour later, it had moved or another one had shown up, I only saw the one light. No flashing, blinking, or moving; one moment it was there, and suddenly it was gone. At first I thought it was a helicopter, looking through my telescope I realized it was not (I would have seen the shape.) Sky was clear overhead with some haze/fog along the horizon (well below the strange light.) This red light barely even twinkled, adding to the strangeness. I am baffled. This light didn't do anything at all. I just recognized it as a "star" that shouldn't be there, and a ruby red star at that. If I am to guess the altitude, I would say 30,000 feet? This did not seem to be a very high altitude object. I am a longtime amateur astronomer and and able to tell the differences between aircraft, helicopters, dirigibles, migrating birds, etc. If this was one of ours, it must be something new. The light did not do anything, it was hung in the sky, unblinking and unflashing.

Three UFO's cat fight then fly off

my father was rambling one day about something he told me before late about 10pm and i would gaze at the stars alot cause i was told an uncle of mine used to do this all the time, i thought i was seeing a satalite slowly moving cause i sometimes watch them but then another light looking like a star or satalite moved to it then another came out and it was 3 star looking things slowly moving and sometimes shooting at but around eachother like a cat fight, i mean it was sometimes like that kitten letting its play partner see it is getting ready to creep it like a play attack then launches at him they roll a bit and separate and pause, after a few times of doing that they separated and shot out different directions and disapeared. It was so casual and fast I didnt even bring it up to my rambling father, couldnt anyway he wouldnt let you lol, anyway it was moving like nothing in the air anyone has ever seen, a catfight of UFO's who knows. I just remembered I have takin a picture of the sky one day when I was on the freeway in the back seat of a car and there was nothing there I was testing the camera with moving objects and in the air it looks like a Disc shaped UFO but I didnt see it the camera did I really dont know I guess I should send in the pic....

V-shaped formation of pale amber lights

I was looking up at the clear, lightening sky, enjoying the view when a formation of amber-colored lights flew by overhead. I know it was not a single triangular craft, since they did not blot out the background stars. The formation was an almost perfect "V", two of the lights were slightly out of line with the rest. They did not make a sound, nor did they seem to affect my visibility of the stars they passed. The lights were pale and steady and did not blink or change color.

It's hard to guesstimate the altitude, but I'll say perhaps 25,000 feet. They moved fast, the formation entered my vision near Monoceros, went through outer Orion and faded out of sight.

Aircraft schedules have become a bit strange since the WTC incident. We are in the LAX flight path here. Of course I understand these may have just been fighter jets heading for March or El Toro/San Diego.

While stargazing, I noticed a "star" that should not be there, and while I stared at it, it started to move slowly. Noticed it in the Bootes patch of sky, it moved slowly through Ursa Major. Looked like a reddish star, near the color of Antares perhaps. It did not blink, flash, or change color. Visual magnitude, approximately 3.5. It seemed to speed up just a little while it traveled between Arcturus and eta-UM. Slowed down in Ursa Major, and I lost it to the sky. I'm estimating very high altitude or low Earth orbit. The satellites I'm used to seeing move faster than what I am reporting here.

We had moved into our new California home in July of 2000. Our residence sits close to the top of a hillside community three blocks from a fenced off mountainous area to the north of our residence. The incident I’m sharing took place three months after we moved in approx around October 11th, 2000. Also I feel I should note that somewhere to the north east of our residence inside the above mentioned wild uninhabited area is an old oil drilling facility that at the time of the incident had been dormant for many years according to local neighbors. Presently there is a local political and social debate taking place regarding the reopening of the drilling facility. I was told that at this time tests and surveys are being conducted up in that previously abandon drilling area. There is activity taking place in the form of helicopters flying in and out of the area at all times of the day and night. I know the oil drilling has not been approved yet so I assume the activity is due to! environmental study or site preparation in the case of a yes vote on its reopening. But in October of 2000 there was no activity in the mountain area.

I arrived home late from work on the night in question at approx. 2315 hrs to find my two young children asleep in their respective bedrooms and my wife asleep in our room which is at the very rear of the house. I checked on them and without changing out of my shirt and tie. I went to the living room and began to watch TV. The living room was dark, except for the light of the television. The only lights that were on in the entire house were that of the kitchen located, based on my sitting position in the living room, directly at my one o’clock as well as the laundry room light that is next to the kitchen. The local news was towards the end of its broadcast as the weather and sports reports is what I was able to view. It was then the incident began.

I heard a distinct rustling taking place in the kitchen, like the noise made when one is opening a potato chip bag that had been rolled shut and clipped for a while. The noise caught me off guard because I was the only person awake in the house. From my chair I could look down the hallway to the bedrooms and would have seen if anyone had gotten out of bed and walked to the kitchen. Besides the kids at this age never woke up after falling asleep and if they had stirred awake I would have heard them get out of their beds and they surely would have called out for me or my wife. My view of said hallway was unimpeded and from my sitting position in the living room was directly at my eleven o’clock. My heart raced as I knew none of my family members were actually in the kitchen. I became more alarmed as the rustling lasted a very long five to six seconds. I was in total belief that someone was in our kitchen. The noise was clear, slow and deliberate and there was no doubt that it ! was coming from inside our home and specifically from our kitchen. I was frozen.

I blurted out “Who’s up?” for some reason, but there was no answer. The rustling immediately stopped I assume as a reaction to my verbalization. I was certain someone was in our home as my senses went wild. My hair on the back of my neck and arms stood up and I felt a burning sensation down my spine. In very stern and aggressive voice I blurted out again, “Who’s up?” I was frozen in my chair, I prepared for a physical confrontation. I prepared to defend my family. I thought of securing a weapon and quietly as I sat in my chair took off my belt to use the belt buckle as a striking tool. I slowly began to stand and it was then the electricity to my home turned off. The TV and both lights in the kitchen and laundry room abruptly turned off. The house was completely dark and without power. My first thought was that the intruder(s) cut the electricity to aid there activity. I was in full red alert as I was certain I had a home invasion situation on my hands.

I stood and quickly walked to the kitchen belt buckle in hand prepared for a life or death struggle. I planned on grabbing a knife the first chance I had. The soft moonlight that spilled in from the kitchen window illuminated the kitchen slightly. As I turned the corner from the living room into the kitchen I saw nothing, no one. I did not hear footsteps of someone retreating away from me or out the laundry room door or to the rear of the house. I quickly confirmed the laundry room door was shut and locked. I realized I needed to clear the house room by room. Could have the intruder fled down the hallway as I rounded the corner from the living room to the kitchen? Possibly, but not very likely as I would have heard such activity. I armed myself with a knife and a flashlight and went down the hall to clear the rooms. My son’s room was first. He was dead asleep. I looked under his bed and in the closet while keeping an ear out for any noise in the hallway behind me or any othe! r areas of the house I had not yet cleared. I moved onto the next child’s room and found him dead asleep as well. I cleared the room as well with no signs of anything out of the ordinary.

The children’s bathroom is what I cleared next, nothing out of place. Onto the master bathroom witch is connected of course to the master bedroom. The master bath room was clear. As I began to exit the master bathroom I was moving slowly and listening for any noises in the house. I was at the threshold of the master bathroom entering the master bedroom. At the threshold I was approximately 9-10 feet away from the foot of our king size bed that sits directly in the middle of our bedroom. Once again I was 9-10 feet away from the foot of our bed. I was startled by what I saw next. My wife who had been asleep during the entire incident to this point was oddly sitting upright on her side of the bed. I did not notice if she had been sitting up as I entered the master bath seconds prior. Nevertheless she was sitting erect and this caused me to stop my gait immediately. I was now one foot past the master bath threshold standing in my bedroom, once again approximately 9 feet away fro! m the foot of the bed. She then whispered in a perturbed tone “Why were you standing over me?” remaining still I responded, “I just walked in the room, I wasn’t standing over you.” She replied whispering and even more upset, “Someone was standing at the foot of our bed looking down on me, it woke me up, I know what I saw!” My heart raced again as I placed my index finger of my right hand to my lips urging her to be quite. I cleared our bedroom as my wife sat in the bed with the blankets up to her nose. The master bedroom was now clear. The only place the intruder could be is in the last room of the house, the office! I shushed my wife again not having time to share all that had transpired and deliberately set out to clear the office.

I cleared the office in a few seconds finding nothing. I came back to the master bedroom and advised my wife to get up out of bed and to follow me. She tried to turn on a lamp and I advised her that the power was out. She hurriedly followed me as we stopped in to check on each child as we made our way back to the living room. I also cleared all the rooms again as we moved forward through the house. Once in the living room I asked her to describe what she saw at the foot of our bed and she could only convey that it was a tall dark figure and that she thought it was me. I reiterated that I was at no point at the foot of the bed and that I had just then walked into the master bathroom and began to exit said bathroom when I noticed her sitting upright. It was then I was able to describe to her all that had happened to me the past 10 minutes in short but concise detail. She asked several rational questions about the incident and I reconfirmed the points she had inquired about. Sh! e lit a few candles and decided to call the power company to see what was wrong with the power.

I peered through our large living room window and did not notice anything out of the order. The one street lamp that sits on the opposite side of our street, three to four houses east, was on as was the power to the residents across the street as I could see a few porch lights on. I opened the front door and walked out onto our porch. I had a strange heavy feeling on my chest and felt uneasy. I found this to be odd as I had calmed down completely from the earlier night events. As soon as exited our front door I felt anxious and edgy for some reason. I noticed that the power was out on all the residences on our side of the street, the north side as it were. There were no porch lights on our side of the street and that was not the norm.

I came back in the house and told my wife that I was going to take a walk up the street to see if the power to the residences north of us was out. She went ballistic. She told me under no uncertain terms that she did not want me to leave her and the kids alone in the house especially after the events I had told her that transpired minutes earlier. She grabbed my right arm and begged me to stay in the house with her. I would not be denied. It was as if I was compelled to go outside and take a look around. I felt like I was being drawn to investigate the night’s activities further. What happened next was unbelievable.

I walked down my residence walk way and stood in the street for a second or two. There are no sidewalks in our neighborhood so I walked w/b on the street under the cover of the huge 50 year old fichus trees that line the street. I reached the corner which is two houses west of my home. I looked north bound and saw that several porch lights were on telling me that the power was not out in all the residences to our north. I walked north on California street about half a block and a strange eerie feeling came over me again, I felt scared for some reason. I turned around and walked south bound back to my street. I turned left and headed back east bound towards my house. The fichus trees on the block drop theses dark burgundy berry type pods and they were all over the street. If you step on the freshly dropped berries you will inevitably bring them into the home as they stick to the bottom of ones shoes. The berries will stain the carpet as we had found out on a prior occasion. I! was looking down, to avoid stepping on said berries, as I walked back to the house using the faint moon beams that were shining through the fichus trees monstrous branches. My gait could be likened to a person hoping stones as they cross a shallow creek attempting not to get wet. I began to feel slightly more relaxed as I got closer and closer to my house. I glanced up and noted the moon light that was creeping and dancing through the branches and was thankful it was lighting my path on the street. I looked back down careful not to step on the previously described berries when suddenly the entire street was lit up in an extremely bright white light.

Initially I stopped walking and was dumbfounded as to where this light was coming from. I looked to my left and right simply taking in the scene that had changed in a second. I then looked up into the trees and observed intense white beams of light piercing through the branches of the trees every chance they could. The light was intense and occasionally I would need to squint because of the brightness. I was frozen as my mind was unable to explain the sudden appearance of the light seemingly out of nowhere. As I continued to peer up at the tree and the light, I could tell that the light source was of course above the trees and was slowly moving in a southerly direction from the mountainside. The light was so bright I couldn’t accurately tell what the height of the light source was or what object or vessel was emitting the light. All I could tell was that it was moving slowly southbound and it was directly over my house now. If I had to estimate the light sources height I wou! ld have to say less than 250- 300 feet. Less than a football field would be my most educated guess.

The light continued to move slowly southbound at what appeared to be approximately 5-7 mph at best. The light was now directly over the middle of the street and the light beams continued to shine through the trees branches down onto the street. I remember looking down at the street again to marvel at the brightness of said light. I took several steps forward keeping the light source in my vision at all times. I found myself not under the protection of the trees any longer. I was now in open space in the middle of my street almost directly in front of my house. The residence directly across the street does not have a fichus tree in the front yard and this allows an unimpaired view of the sky looking southbound. The light source was now more or less over the house directly across the street from my residence.

There was no sound emitting from the slow moving light source. No chopping of blades such as you would hear from a helicopter. There was no jet engine or propulsion noise present. There was no green or red aviation flight lights present as well. The light source was too low to the ground to be any craft I have ever seen. Suddenly the light accelerated forward and parallel to a speed I can only describe 10-15 times faster than that of a meteor racing downward and across the sky heading entering our atmosphere.

The light source travelled an immense length air space in less than one second. If I had to estimate the distance it travelled I would have to say approximately 30-40 miles in the previously described one second of time. At the time of its parallel acceleration not a sound was emitted from the light source, It remained absolutely silent in its forward motion and the light became smaller in size almost instantly. The light source size was that of a grape from the position I continued to observe it from.

Then the light source took a vertical trajectory, comparable to a child sliding “up” not down a slide. The light source during this upward trajectory increased speed and was traveling even faster than it had during its initial parallel acceleration. The size of the light source at its last visible observation as it turned upward was now that of a small pea. Suddenly it was gone, simply disappearing out of sight and, what I believe to be, out of our atmosphere.

I was unable to move, I was frozen staring at the area of the sky where the light source once was. My heart was beating fast and loud. I felt sick to my stomach. I had no idea what I had just witnessed but I knew in my heart that there was no way that source of that light was from anything on this earth. The speed was greater than anything we as a civilization can possibly have at our disposal.

I walked up to the front door of my house and my wife opened the door. She had the portable phone to her ear and was on hold with the power company. She slowly removed the phone from her ear dropping it down to her side. She was looking at me with a facial expression of concern. She said “What’s wrong with you, you look like you seen a ghost?” I stared at her without saying a word. She said “Your pale, get in the house, what’s wrong?” My response was “I just saw a UFO. I can’t explain what I just saw.” I asked her if she had seen the light over the house and she advised that she had not and that she had been in the den on hold with the power company. It was then that the power company employee came on the line and advised my wife that there was a small pocket of outage in our area. My wife asked her if she knew why and the operator advised that she wasn’t sure why. My wife asked how long before the power would be back on and the employee stated “We need to find something wro! ng before we can fix it and right now we don’t show any blown transformers or downed power lines.” My wife hung up the phone and not 5-10 seconds later the power came back on causing us to jump. I explained to her what I had observed outside our home and reiterated that when I got to the door on my way back that I looked shaken.

The events depicted above are absolutely true and accurate. I have told a few friends and family members of the facts surrounding the events described above but have neglected to officially report said incident. I am reporting the incident now so that the occurrence can be documented for possible future reference.

I was sitting on the steps out in the front of the building, and I looked up at the sky and saw between 15-20 glowing red balls of light, they were just there doing nothing until maybe 2 minutes passed and one started to move slowly as if it was scaning the area, and then it moved very fast maybe 50 miles in one second. Then the others started to do the same but in differrent directions. At this piont I felt that I was in mortal danger and just writing about this makes me very shaky and scared as if it just happend 5 minutes ago. I ran to get witnesses and no one would come, they did not belive me. It was like a movie. I had to see this once in a lifetime event to the end, so I ran back outside to see what they were going to do next. All the objects that are scaning the area are still doing so, I felt that they were watching me and I was very scared and helpless. After watching them for a few more minutes, they all came back togather like a fleet just as fast as they split up, at this point they all shot straight up at such a speed that no human could live through. I've lived with this all this time and I had no way to prove it, but if I could take a lie detector test and be hipnotized, you will get the truth. I don't know if anyone else saw these things in the sky that night because I never talked about it again in fear that I would be seen as crazy.

I feel and just know that they were watching me and there is nothing I or anyone else could do about it. I hope we all get some answers and I hope I life long enough to see that day.

UFO sighting one summer night back in the late 1980's.

Years back one summer night. My sister was lying down in the living room couch looking outside at the stars. My Mom & I were at the house.

All of a sudden my sister yelled out for us. She was yelling, “Look, look, what is that up there?” My sister, Mom and Me looked out the window and there was an oval shape flying saucer with different colors around it standing still on top of a mountain near our home. It appeared it was looking down at the water tower in Turnbull Canyons Hills, Hacienda Heights, CA.

I ran to call my neighbors so they can come and see it. By the time they came out my sister said the UFO disappeared rapidly. Turnbull Canyons Hills in Hacienda Heights, CA, in the U.S.A. is popular for supernatural stuff.

I will never forget what I saw but it was brief.

While waiting to exit the parking lot after completing an 8hr shift at the community hospital myself along with two other co-workers each in their own vehicals sat at the red light,we all rolled the windows of are vehicals down to talk to each other when all three of us noticed an amber light which was pulsating moving from our right sight of vision which was moving towards our left.It seemed to be approx 75ft-90 ft in elevation judging from the fact that it was actually lighting up the tree tops as it flew over them.We all thought at first that it was a helecopter which fly by frequently but then realized that it was not one when it flew directly in front of us.It was approx the same size as a police copter but this was egg shaped with no wings,rotors or even sound.At this point it was right across the street from us right above a marie calendars which also was illuminated by this object.Then as all three of us got out of our cars the object instantly in a flash flew to our left and appeared to fly into an industrial area several blocks away seemed to either land or crashed into a large areas of trees near the buildings since it did hit the trees.None of us wanted to follow up on this sighting we each left the area because it seemed to incredible to believe.

Colaboration of 1978 sighting in Whittier, California (Southeast Los Angeles County).

I was recently scanning thru old sightings on your websight and came across one of great interest to me. It concerned a woman who spotted a flying object over the 605 freeway in 1977 or 1978 (she couldn't remember exact date). This sighting was actually posted in 2000, since the woman was new to the web. Well, back in 1978, my neighbor told me of a VERY SIMILAR sighting that she had the night before. She was driving home travelling south on the 605 Freeway (Southeast Los Angeles County) at 2:30 AM (the woman was driving north on 605 fwy), when she saw a bright light that she first thought to be a helicopter spotlight. She estimated the object to be a couple of miles away. As she drove south, the object was slowly flying north towards her. To this day, it is a desolate stretch of freeway. My neighbor slowed to a crawl as it approached, since it was hugh and obviously not a helicopted or airplane of any type she had ever seen. She did not stop as it slowly flew directly over her at what she estimated to be 100 feet or so- VERY LOW. She said it was dark in color and possibly triangle in shape and looked like some sort of "hugh flying machine with lights." She was uncomfortable telling the story and had NO reason to lie and only told me after repeated questioning of the slight sunburn on ONE side of her face- which she admitted she thought was caused by object. I am guessing my neighbor probably saw the same object that this woman saw. I travel the same freeway about a dozen times per week and have never seen anything unusual.

Very large metallic object hovering over 605 freeway

I am new to the web and immediately wanted to find a site wherein I could share my experience and hopefully find someone who may have witnessed what I saw early one morning, or documentation of such. I apologize for being so vague on the specific date; it's been so long ago. But the actual experience is still very vivid in my mind and something I will never forget. To the best of my recollection it was 1977, but may have been 1978. I do know it was approx. 2:30 in the morning, as I had left my boyfriend's house in Downey and was traveling northbound on the 605 freeway heading for the 210 freeway. I was not under the influence of any substance. As I was traveling northbound on the 605, just past Rose Hills Memorial Park, I saw something ahead of me hovering over the freeway. Being very familiar with that area, I knew the incredibly large object I was approaching did not belong there - had never been there before. That particular part of the freeway was very desolate - nothing in the way of commercial buildings, etc. Just a duck farm to the west and Rose Hills to the southeast.It was within close proximity to the 60 freeway as well. I recall virtually no other traffic at that time as I neared the object. It was hovering, completely still, maybe about 500 feet above the freeway. I slowed as I approaced it, looking at it in disbelief. When I was under it, I came to a complete stop on the freeway and just stared in amazement. It was incredibly huge - like something from Battlestar Gallactica. It wasn't shiny, but was metallick with circular indents - like pores - about it. It was a very peculiar shape-nothing you could describe as a definate rectangle, circle, etc. It has many configurations. But the size just overwhelmed me. I remember not feeling frightened, but just astounded. I sat there for awhile just staring at this thing, oblivious to my surroundings or the fact that I was sitting still on the freeway. I couldn't tell you if another car came along or not. As I slowly began to p! ul away, I kept my eye on it, continually looking back, and then it was gone. I've always wondered if someone else may have reported a similar experience, or if there was documentation of unusual activity in that vicinity in '77 or '78. It has disturbed me for more than 20 years (I am now 45), and I was hoping someone could substantiate it for me. Thank you for allowing me to share this with you. I have been looking at many UFO sites for years and have even had a photo posted a few years ago of a UFO I got a picture of while in Washington State. I even submitted photos last year that showed objects in front of me and around me while driving from Texas to California. Needless to say I have had a few sightings.

What brought me to write today was that I noticed a few reports from the 1977-78 period of pretty much what I saw myself in the city of Whittier. I am in my late 30's now and at the time I was in 6th grade.. The time was close to 4pm because my friend's mom was the manager of a donut shop and we would go pig out there everyday after school.

We got to the corner of Lambert & Colima when one of the kids yelled "hey look a rocket"!. We looked up towards the Hacienda Hts area. There is a big hill you have to go over that leads into Hacienda Heights using Colima Rd. We saw the object in plain sight but at first all we could see was a flame coming out of something. It was right above Colima Rd at the top of the hill. That is a major pathway for planes coming into LAX. They come in every few minutes so someone had to have seen something.

We continued watching the object and then it started to move high into the sky but towards our direction and settling directly above. As it got above our heads (several thousand feet in the air), I could see it perfectly, it was a huge Triangle with different colored blinking lights on the side (specifically blue & red), a flame coming out of the back, and a bright white light at the tip.

It stayed up there for at least 2 hours. Didn't move.

The time was now way after 5pm and it started to get dark. The triangle was now blending in perfectly with the stars. I remember still faintly being able to see the red/orange flame coming out the back and not really being able to see the red & blue lights on the sides anymore. My neck was hurting so badly from looking straight up for all that time that I finally had to take a few minuets rest. When I looked back up I couldn't find it but all the kids were saying "it's right there" and pointing it out to me..

Well I just couldn't find it anymore because it just blended in with the stars so well. I ran home to tell my family but who would believe a young kid saying such a story. I mean, if it were that big, flying in LAX air traffic space, in plain sight, then why was there no news covereage or any mention of it??

Well I never did hear anything about it but I know what I saw. It is fresh in my memory to this day as if it just happened yesterday. Who knows maybe since we were kids, the er uh "visitors" only allowed us to see them. But whatever it was, it was huge, it was close, and it was real.

I would also like to add that a few years later (early 80's) I was watching a UFO documentary and they told the story of a man in either Wyoming or Montana that shot at a UFO that was chasing him. Well guess what? He drew the exact same thing I saw that day. The triangle, flame coming out the back, bright white light at the tip, and different colored lights on the side.

I got excited and called my brother to come watch and asked him if he remembered the UFO story I told him about a few years back, I said "that's exactly what I saw". He just basically said "are you sure" and I said "I'm positive" (to which he replied "what a trip").

I guess I got so excited because someone other than the group of kids and myself actually had an encounter with this thing and drew it in all exactness of what I saw that day.. I read about the enormous Chevron craft seen by a woman over the 605 fwy that same time period as well as another story relating to the same info and I knew I had to include my experience as well. The area over Colima Rd is a sort of UFO hotspot.

In 1998 after leaving a friend's house just before midnight, I drove up Colima Rd coming from Hacienda to Whiiter, and as I neared the top of the hill a White light just shot across in front of me. I sped up to try and get another look but it was long gone. It was just like a Blip but I saw it and it was not a reflection from any other lights because for those who know that hilltop, there is a small area where there are no street lights, that's where it flew across.

I feel relieved in a sense to hear that other people have come across what I saw that day back in the late 70's. Although I know what I saw, it's just so relieving to know that I wasn't alone and that others came across some big, weird stuff they can't explain either. I gotta tell you, seeing something like that is better than getting your first bicycle on Christmas - it really is.

In the summer of 1969 living in Starlight Estates located in Whittier, California and overlooks the city of Whittier. Around 6:00 PM (PST) sitting in my bed and looking out the window over the city, I noticed a non blinking red light to the right of the city, it looked to me to be about to three or four miles away and at eye level, moving slower than an airplane from right to left. As I continued watching the non blinking red light come directly in front of me, now about 1 mile away from my view and below eye level, I could tell that this object was a saucer shaped vehicle with a small dome above it and very bright red light on top. I continued watching the saucer shaped vehicle fly over the city of Whittier until I could no longer see it. Total viewing time about seven minutes.

Two minutes later while I was he my breakfast the radio announcer reported that there was a UFO that flew over the city and that there were over a thousand witnesses that called in to report the UFO. After the radio announcer finished the news flash, my mother and father look at each other and then looked back at me. They did not ask me any questions or talk to me about the incident ever. Weeks after the incident I started having what was commonly called ESP, because my mother always watched game shows, I most of the time said out loud what the number was. My mom even new I had the ability for numbers, because several times she would ask me to go with her to the race track and pick some h! orses, b ut I always refused.

Two observers witnessed 500-foot long oval craft with lighted porthole windows flying low over Whittier.

A good friend of mine who I have known for 10 years, recently told me about a UFO he saw in 1967. Since he is an artist, I asked him to draw me a picture of the UFO, which he did, and which he gave me permission to post, and which is attached here.

Here is the story as related to me by him on Sept. 9, 2004. (Bear in mind, this incident occured about 37 years ago!): My friend was living in Whittier, California in early Spring, 1967 (approximate date). He was with his wife over at a co-worker's house for dinner, and after dinner he and his co-worker went out on the patio of the house in Whittier, and they were standing there, leaning back slightly, at about 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm, (it was dark out) and they were talking about work. He and his co-worker were both electricians, and they had been working together that day. Their wives were in the house at the time.

As they were on the patio, the UFO (depicted in the drawing) flew by, going from south to north, approximately as depicted. It was travelling at approximately 100 mph to 200 mph, at a steady, uniform speed, and was totally silent. (No engine noise. No noise at all.) It was in the view of both of these gentlemen for approximately two seconds. It was approximately 500 feet long, approximately 100 feet diameter. There were hundreds of windows, or port holes, approximately as shown, which were approximately 3 feet in diameter and approximatley 10 feet apart (10 feet spacing). The windows, or port holes, were filled with bright white light. The UFO was travelling approximately 100 to 125 feet above the ground. It was approximately 150 feet away from these two observers.

It was dark out, but my friend got the impression that the UFO was silver in color, although he is not sure about that. He was close enough to the UFO that he would have been able to see "passengers" in the windows, or port holes, if there had been any "passengers". No "passengers" were observed in the windows or port holes; only bright white light. Both individual witnesses observed the craft as described. Immediately they went inside the house to tell their wives what they had just witnessed and to report the UFO to the Air Force, or to the police. However, when they went in the house they observed on television at the time was a news story about some kids who had released helium balloons with Aluminum-foil attached earlier that morning near Griffith Park, and it created a big traffic jam on the Golden State freeway, and many people had reported this as UFOs. As a result, my friend and his co-worker decided not to report the UFO because, in view of the news story on television about the kids' balloons and the resultant UFO reports regarding the balloons, because he and his co-worker decided that their report would probably not be taken seriously.

He remarked that the general shape of the UFO was that of a blimp, however in every other respect (speed, size, silence, hundreds of brightly lit windows, etc.) it was definitely not a blimp, or any other kind of conventional craft; it was a "UFO".

All of the data above about this incident (size, distance, speed, location, etc.), which occured in 1967, was provided to me by my friend - in response to my questions - on Sept. 9, 2004, (~37 years after the event) and are approximate only, and are "ball-park" estimates given to me by him. So, if the sketch does not agree exactly with the dimensions provided, this is why. (Also, I would like to add that -in my opinion - memories of short duration of significant events that happened a long time ago can still be somewhat accurately remembered. For example, did you ever break a neighbor's window as a kid with a baseball? Can you still see the baseball shattering the glass?) **************************** Something bothers me about all of this: I cannot understand "helium balloons with Aluminum-foil attached, released by kids", causing a major jam-up on the freeway, UFO reports, and major news coverage!!! Here is what I speculate: There was major UFO activity in that general area (southern California) that day.

The UFOs were reported, and the UFO sightings caused a major jam-up on the freeways.

Disinformation was then released by the government in the form of a fictitious "made-up" story about kids with balloons and Aluminum foil (similar to other fictitious reports released by the government regarding "weather balloons" and "swamp gas").

The UFO seen by by friend and his co-worker may have been related to the other UFOs reported earlier in that same day.

And, there may have been others who sighted it who did not report it for similar reasons to my friend and his co-worker not reporting it! (I doubt that this was an experimental military craft; why would it be flying so low over a heavily populated area?! Experimental military craft are usually tested out over the desert, or ocean, away from people.) (As I have stated, this is just my speculation.) So, I would like to ask these questions: 1. Has anyone ever seen a UFO with characteristics similar to this, anywhere? 2. Does anyone know anything about news stories of UFO reports in 1967 near Griffith Park (in southern California) causing traffic jams on the Golden State freeway? (There have been many thousands of UFO reports throughout the past half-century or more, but this one seems to be a little bit different!)
