Triangle Shap Object With About 14 Orange Lights

My back yard is looking into the training area here (Known as the box). I was looking over towards the training city of Abu Layla and saw this group of bright orange lights. Looked to be about 14 or more lights in a triangle form. The lights were just hovering above the road out there. After 10 minutes of watching this the lights headed east towards the I15 freeway and you could see the glow of this object silhouette the mountains. When it took off it had to be going faster then 600mph becuase it only took about 5 seconds for it to disappear (figuring the speed by the time and distance). When it took off it went from a stand still position. This is my 3rd time seeing it here in the same spot. I work in this area every day, and there is nothing but Desert out there. I have 2 pictures I took with a Point and Shoot camera, but they came out blurry due to the distance and are not 'really' helpful.

Small orange triangle making impossible high speed maneuvers

As written by my son who was the witness of this incident.

At approximately 0145 the morning of July 17, 2007, I witnessed an object traveling at great speed move west to east across the nights sky.

This object would then come to a complete stop without slowing down, turn 90 degrees, and move north to south at a slow speed. The object would pick up speed, and then would start making very tight, perfect spirals while traveling very fast. In the center of the spiral, this object came to a complete stop again, turned 90 degrees, and then head east to west at a slow speed, then disappeared. It did this a few times while I observed this object for about 4 minutes.

The object was made up of three orange lights that formed a small triangle. The maneuvers I witnessed were things that I have never seen before. The high rate of speed, the sudden complete stops, the 90 degree turns, and the tight, perfect spirals led me to believe that what I saw was a UFO.

Yellow-Orange object in sky north of Baker California, August 1994.

I was at NTC in Fort Irwin with the 2AD and 1st Calvary Div. I was a dismount in the Army 3-41st at the time and was 20 years old.

We had a fairly large perimeter we were guarding. There wasn't anything to do, but look at the stars. I was amazed at how many stars could be seen in the sky in the desert. I was watching airplanes, satelites in orbit and just star gazing.

I had been watching the sky for probably close to an hour before seeing this yellow-orange light moving across the sky at a consistant speed, not fast or anything that caught my eye. I continued stargazing and watching other objects in the sky. I was kind of tracking the objects seeing where they were going and what they were doing. I was keeping track of a satelite an airplane and this other object which I thought was also an airplane.

I was looking at these three items when I couldn't find the yellow-orange light. It didn't flash like the other airplane I was watching and wondered where it had gone. I thought I saw it in the sky but it was not moving. The position I was facing was toward Baker California. The object was to the left of Baker, I have no idea of the distance. The desert is very deceiving about distance but Baker was atleast 20 miles away.

I focused my attention on the object and was about to dismiss it as the plane I had been watching when it moved. It made a series of movements and returned to the position I first saw it sitting stationary in. The first movement was side to side it moved left, then right past center, then left past center, then right past center, then returned to center. It then moved up and down starting in the position I first saw it in stationary. It moved up, then down past center, then up past center, then down past center, then back to center. It then did what I would call a four leaf clover move.

What was strange about it, or what stuck in my head is it never took the same path during this move and returned to center. Between each of these moves it would return to center and pause for about a second to a second and a half.

By this time I am running toward another soldier in my squad that has a set of binoculars I wanted a better look at the object and also for someone else to see it besides me. The event was over before I made it to him.

The next two moves is what I couldn't believe. The object paused a little longer after the clover leaf move, maybe two seconds, then moved away from the ground in an arc towards the sky. The object appeared to be in the place I first saw it stationary and also where I would describe the edge of space at the same time. The yellowish-orange light was about 3 inches long and the same width and intensity as the object. The light caught up to the object in a fraction of a second. It then paused again for about 2 seconds and went out into space as far as I could see at a slight angle away from me. The light appeared to be wherever it was going and where it was at the same time again and then the light disappeared after it.

This sighting was so incredible that I believed I was seeing things. I started changing my mind when I saw seven helicopters come from behind and to the right of me, go the the area I saw the object, circle the area, then return where I saw them come from. I also felt relieved the next day when I ran into a guy from the first Calvary Div. that said he was lying on his tank and described the same thing I saw.

fort irwin ca ufo 1992 from ex soldier

Hi, I have been thinking about something for a long time and I want to share it with you. While my scout platoon was in the desert at fort irwin ca on a training exercise I beleive we witnessed a ufo. Here's what I remember, about 2 am in the morning we were conducting a screen line waiting for an attack to come from the other unit that was in the box ie training area and we reported a light (helicopter) inbound about 500ft above the ground and roughly 5 miles out. we viewed this with night vision goggles. it continued in bound heading north, within a couple of minutes another scout vehicle reported contact with it. we all just kept looking at it because we thought it was a helicopter bringing in the enemy somewhere. A minute or so later another light and reported it as another helicopter was on the same path and heading in the same direction a few seconds after that we reported one more light(helicopter). so now we had three of them and at least one other scout vehicle was seeing the same thing and tracking it as well.

Within a couple of minutes the lead copter went directly up in the air about and the sky got brighter, really brighter, all this was happening about 5 miles from my position but it got so bright that you could see the change without your night vision goggles. we reported to the commander at the toc that we beleived a helo just exploded and we had a real world emergency. now all the scout vehicles could see the sky getting way brighter. I mean really bright and it was staying that way not like a firecracker but like a slow build to brightness. not daylight but definatly noticeable. We were rasing hell on the radio with the toc telling them to check with bluefor and see if they had a helicopter go down and we were looking for red stars which would signal a real world emergency. we saw none. after alot of radio chatter between the toc and us they said it was not a helicopter but they would investigate it. so for about an hr we watched the sky get really bright and the start to dim out and basically didnt do our mission any more but talked on the radio about what was going on. finally the toc told us that a missle from one of the airforce bases went awry and they had to self destruct it so thats what the lights were. about 1 hr later we saw orange lights moving in the desert floor like a fireball moving really fast. like it was racing up and down the floor in a super fast car. this also happened about 3-5 miles from my position but others saw it as well. the toc thought my entire platoon was nuts but we all saw it. finally the orange light went out and nothing else happened. after the mission ended a day or so later we all asked what was up and were told the missle story but no reference to the orange light other than special forces were supposedly in the area and may have been doing something. no special forces could have done what I saw. they had to have been driving on the desert floor 2000 miles an hr. after the first helicopter blew up or missle or whatever it was, the other lights just kept moving north and eventually went out of view. I truly believe I saw something and not what the army said it was.

Bright light turns night into day.

Hi.

I just read an x-soldiers description of a glowing light in the desert at Ft Irwin, Ca. early 1992.

I'm a retired 1SG and my company from Ft. Ord CA. was attached to the red force and was in a defense position not far from the location on Ft Irwin know as, tip of the whale, on or about 0200hrs 04/01/1992.

My commander, myself and my supply sergeant were up talking about what we were going to do the next day when this bright light appeared which we first thought was a helicopter came over our position and stopped not to far from where we were. We thought the enemy had spotted our position and was taking a closer look.

The object seemed to slowly explode (for lack of a better term) in to a ball of ever increasing brightness. The light was so intense my supply sergeant turned his back on it.

I asked what was wrong. He said he thought it was the end of time taking place.

The light continued to increase over the next several minutes untill we could see all arround us, turning night into day, not quite like daylight but and orange glowing light.

By this time my whole company was awake and wanted to know what was going on.

The light stayed this way for many more minutes until it faded back into the night.

The next day I tried to find out what had happened. No one I talked to could tell me any thing about it.

3 white lights in a triangle in a stationary small cloud in a cloudless sky turning every 2-3 seconds 2 hours then off

I was an an army officer, an O-3 Captain, observer controller Stationed at Fort Irwin, part of the Cobra or Armored Task Force Team - we were essentially range police, coaches and controllers of Battle exercises with Units who came in from all over the United States. It was near midnight and I was traveling from North to South in my HUMMV, alone. There was an assembly of a logistics group ( maybe 30 vehicles) at 1500-200 feet I listed above. It was a cloudless dark night, but at the coordinates, there was a small cloud 1500-2000 feet above the assembly. As I got closes I saw there were 3 white lights in a triangle shining down from inside the cloud. Every 2-3 seconds at a regular interval, the light would rotate a third of a turn. The people in the Assembly area assumed it was something to do with the range and didn't question it. I called another 0-3 Captain on my radio net who I knew was in the area, and he saw it too, described it the same way, and also had no idea what it was. I called range control, who verified there were not aircraft in the air anywhere on the base that night…I asked to check again, and he called the airbase that was supporting the exercises, and they said they had no aircraft here. It stayed there at least two hours. At some point the lights stopped, and the only reason I knew the cloud was still there was I could not see the stars through it. I looked away a second and then the cloud was just gone.

We didn't see it appear but it was like we were suspended in time

I was a driver for a command Sgt Major and we were trainning in the desert near Goldstone racting Station and it was about 0130 and we were park looking at a grid map using our red light flashlights and off about 300 yards we saw a oval shape object hovering about, I would say about 200 ft off the ground and it was making a buzzing noise with a bright white light. It just hover for a few minutes. The Command Sgt Major grab the mike on the radio and tried to get ahold of TALK we got our call sign out and a got a reponse from TALK that they acknowlege our radio transmission and the radio went dead, the engine stopped running the black out lights went off and we were dead in the (Water). And time seem to lapse by and then it took off real fast in a diagle it was going from east to west and just disappeared but before it disappeared it made some unreal turns that startled us. then the jeep was running again like it was before and the radio was working and TALK was calling us and they said they were trying to reach us for about five minutes with no reponse. TALK for which I don't rememmber what it means but that was our HHD, Head quarters and Headquaters Bn Radio center.
