Witnesses observed a bright triangular craft object hovering at tree top level

Two witnesses were outdoors and observed a bright triangular craft object hovering at tree top level in the neighbor's back yard. The object dimmed and repositioned at the end of the witness' property, 600' from their location. Witnesses observed object through binoculars and saw three amber white lights (circular) at 25-30 feet elevation. The second witness took a photo with its android phone and the primary witness drew sketches as requested by the FI. (MUFON CMS 130084) The sighting lasted 5-6 minutes.

NUFORC Note:

The two witnesses were outdoors at the time. The primary witness reported a bright, silent object over the neighbor’s lawn at treetop level. It was shaped like a triangle, with what was described as an inverted triangle below it. She suggested the inverted triangle may have been a “reflection.” The size of the object was “equivalent to two basketballs", which indicates about 18 inches in diameter. The probe-like triangle dimmed and repositioned itself at the end of the witness' property, 600' from their location. Witness observed object through binoculars and reportedly could see three circular amber-white lights at 25-30 feet elevation. The second witness said the object appeared to be more like the shape of a cylinder with two rows of lights surrounded by a “vaporous” material. He took a photo with an android phone and later the the primary witness drew sketches as requested by the FI. They watched the object for 5-6 minutes as it hovered over the water's edge. The report narrative we received from MUFON didn't mention how the object departed. The MATCH Coordinator told us the object had come from the West (wasn't mentioned in the narrative) and it's final direction was North, but it still doesn't tell us whether it vanished in the North or moved TO the North. It is MUFON's policy not to share the photo or sketches. (MUFON CMS 130084).

A MADAR data check zeroed in on two nearby sites. Although no MADAR sites in the area had actually gone on a "code blue" alert, site 163 at Buffalo, New York, about 30 miles south of Wilson showed some erratic behavior which seemed at first to indicate that its local EMF was somewhat unstable, and as a result the device probably needed to be re-positioned a slight distance away from some obvious mundane local EM source. But nevertheless, the magnetometer showed spikes right at the time of the Wilson sighting for about 3 minutes. There was a 9.38 milligaus magnetometer reading the minute prior at 9:27 pm/01:27 UTC and a larger spike a minute AFTER the sighting time of 9:29 pm of 11.62 milligaus. The compass variation was the most erratic, but then it is also the most sensitive sensor onboard the unit which is why it is not used as a detector. It shows extreme compass swings for at least a half hour, and noticeable several minutes prior to the event. Node 41 is located 53 miles to the north across Lake Ontario at Ajax, Ontario, and data from the same time-frame shows a spike one minute later at 9:29 pm and a significant variation in the compass heading. If that's not enough, the Ajax site, which did not appear to have any issues, had a slight spike (1.02) in its gyro or accelerometer right at the time of the reported Wilson event.

Niagara Falls Air Reserve and Canadian Coast Guard are within miles of the witnesses location so drones or other military technology cannot be ruled out, but, MADAR data from two separate sites suggest the object was a probelike UAP. Aircraft in the area at the times of the sightings are inconsistent with witnesses reports. There were several sightings reported that evening in New York but the MADAR events involved the Wilson, New York, 9:28 pm incident. The earlier sighting at 8:00 pm, case 130054 at Newfane, was an IFO. Two other cases at Ontario are in the CMS system but we have no idea what they pertain to, except they are CMS 129984 and 129978; 9:40 pm and 9:12 pm respectively. The 9:28 pm incident was declared a UAV, case number 130084. Buffalo MADAR site 163 had a lot of spikes that evening and there were multiple UAP reports received in the region. There was a 10.12 milligaus spike 8 minutes before the Wilson sighting which might indicate a parent ship (releasing probes) entering New York airspace. And 4 minutes after the sighting there was a hefty spike of 15.38 milligaus, and this could indicate a powered-up departure of the same mother ship. We appear to have MSV (multi-sensor verification) of this UAP event as well as other sightings which could indicate some type of multi-UAP operation in its own right. Last but not least, the spike in the Buffalo's gyro/accelerometer is very suspicious at 01:28:18 or 9:29 pm that evening.

While looking at the stars we noticed a single file of lights in the sky. They were spaced evenly, made no sound and moved at a steady pace. We tried to video tape but it would not show we counted 20 lights moving from SW to NE

At 1700 hours, while exiting a cab, I witnessed a bright light with a halo of lights going around and around that blinked in sequence. I asked someone in the area to look up and tell me what did they see. They told me it was an unusual light. Together, we stared at the light as it stood still in the same position. The passbyer entered her car and drove off. I went inside Dollar tree off of Raleigh Road Parkway, a few doors down from Walmart Shopping Mall, to go look up and tell me what she saw.

After observing it for a few minutes, she said it looked like a star or maybe a plane. I asked the female supervisor at the Dollar Tree to go look outside and tell me what she saw when she looked up in the sky. There were no stars out and she said it was just a bright light or maybe a plane. I proceeded to shop inside Dollar Tree and was at the register at 1745. My cab driver was awaiting out front and I asked him to look up and tell me what he saw. He looked up at the light for a few minutes and said he saw a bright light with lights blinking around it, rotating. I got in the cab and rode home.

I went out for my morning cigarette and walk, when I noticed White, pill shaped, silent, wingless aircraft glided from north to south across the horizon in full daylight. It was the only aircraft in the sky. No lights or anything was coming from the craft. It was flying about as high as a helicopter would fly, but it completely and absolutely silent. No erratic movement was noted. I wanted to run back into the house to photograph it, but I didn't want to miss it.

Shiney chevron shaped object traveling East over Lake Niagara, and then changed direction going South.

I was in my front yard facing North across Lake Ontario when I heard a helicopter approach from the East. I watched the small, white, news type helicopter then noticed a shiny object higher than the helicopter. The helicopter went past and didn't hesitate at all. (they often travel this path). The shiny object seemed to be pretty stationary and not moving. I went into the house and came back out with a small pair of binoculars but I still could not determine exact shape of object. It was longish with something hanging below it so I thought it might be a big weather balloon. I have never seen a weather balloon. The object was very shiny and reflected the sun which was bright. The sun was over my left shoulder. The object began to move to the right, Eastward. It moved fairly slowly and almost seemed to be tumbling or changing shape. I really thought it was a balloon and tried to get some pictures with my cell phone. I got a few. The object was very far above the trees. I noticed a commercial airline going toward the East far above the object and not anywhere near it. The object was so high in the sky that it was impossible to make out its shape but it had to be pretty large because I wouldn't have been able to see it otherwise. Much larger than a party balloon.

I walked into the field about 30 yards to my East to watch the object moving towards the East but after about 1/2 mile it changed direction and moved West and towards me. It then moved more Southwest slowly. I stood in the plowed field and watched it and it moved until it was overhead and to the South. It was close enough that I could make out the shape then which was an L or V shape. It resembled a very large L like that from a metal sign. It had no lights, made no sound but had square corners. I would take a guess and say it was much bigger than me at least 10 feet or so. It traveled into the direction of the sun and I could no longer see it. About 20 minutes from when I first saw it. I thought it might land in the 100's of acres behind the woods behind my house and I searched them a little later, but I didn't see anything.

Three bright orange/red lights hovering above Rt. 22 forming in an acute triangle.

Me and my boyfriend were driving on Rt. 22 Sunday night around 11 pm when we both noticed three orange/red lights in the sky. I thought they were the orange street lights on the highway at first, but as I kept staring I noticed that the three lights were forming an acute triangle and they were not moving very fast. I tried looking for a string or wire they could have been hanging off of, but I couldn't see anything.

It was a cloudy night so I couldn't make out any stars or planes in sight. These three lights just sort of hovered above the 25th St. shopping center near Olive Garden.

We started to drive underneath them and I had to turn my head back to look at them (which means they were not moving or they were moving very slowly). They were pretty bright lights and they did not flicker or flash at all. They were pretty stagnant as well; they didn't move around a lot and they kept the triangle shape consistent.

Today 8/4/14 my boyfriend drove on Rt. 22 again and drove on the same exact spot that we saw the lights at last night, but they were not there anymore. They were too low to the ground to be air planes and too high up to be street lights.

I tried for hours to try and come up with a logical explanation and I couldn't. I do not want to jump to conclusions, but it looked like all the stories you hear about UFO's.

Orange Lights Over Wilson NC

First caught our attention as we driving. 3 to 4 round orange objects, bright glowing, in the sky just above the tree line floating slowly off in the distance.

We pull over to see what it was thinking maybe floating lanterns or some other type of glowing device. However they were glowing to bright and began to move off together at the same time in the same direction.

Then, more objects appeared afterwards same color and circular and swiftly moved off maybe an additional 3 to 4.

Then and additional 2 came out and quickly move off.

We tried to follow but could not keep up and the vanished quickly.

Duration of the event was short maybe 5 to 10 minutes.

We are not sure what we have witnessed have tried our best to logically explain it but have no explanation.

Also to note the objects sometimes were a bright white then went to a light orange to to bright orange, no sound was ever emitted.

Strange bright star moving oddly, while military jets fly by it.

1 object observed in sky, while me and my 15 year old son were watching the lights from a couple of military type jets, flying over our house. The object appeared to be a large star moving North, while the jets were moving South.

After the jets had passed, the object began to move in rapid zig-zag pattern, like it was bouncing.

It then stopped completely, while flashing slightly brighter, and appeared to blink out like a light bulb burning out creating a bright flash.

Dogs started barking all around the neighborhood.

We waited to see if there was anything else, for around 10 minutes, and there was nothing else that we saw.

bright orb being chased by a jet along with several other crafts after that. very bright like the sun.

This is a report of the craft I have seen flying over the area where I live. I started to see things more and more as I started to look up more and more. There are planes that fly above the house but I notice that there are a lot more things around than just a few planes flying over. Planes come from one area and keep on going in the same direction. I have not seen but a few planes during the day and night but whatever the other things are, they are not planes. Several times you will see a jet chase the other objects around the area and in circles until the object takes off and leaves the jet behind like its nothing at all. A lot of times the other objects look like bright orbs that float in air. They set in a spot for a few hours then slowly move to another area. They pass one another like playing chick but they stop side by side and then take back off again. They come together in a circle then break off in different directions and fly out of s! ight then return a little later to do it again. Any time a plane passes by they follow it for awhile then drop back to where they were setting at to begin with. Some look like a flying star but brighter, much brighter. There is a area back in the woods that are large sand pits where they lower down below the tree line and come back up several hours later. I have been back their but get a sick feeling when I do and hair stands up on my arms. I will not go back there anymore. They seem to be more and more over time and on clear nights.

I have a lot of other objects with red and white flashing light that fly around the area a lot but they are much slower and normal just fly out of sight then return to the other direction hours later. I caught one on my camera during the evening and it looks like a flying star but with a jet chaseing it. I mean the jets are so close to the tree tops when chaseing these things that you see leaves fly up and the tree tops lay over. The bright orbs like to stay over the several sand pits we have in the area. They fly in circles over them a few minutes before either lowering down or moveing to the next one. One other the other red and white lighted crafts did the same and we know it lowered all the way to the ground because it left a stream of smoke like a jet from the ground up when it landed and took off. But this was different from the bright orbs. Several times the bright orbs seem to come from every direction and that’s when they all come together in a circle and s! et for a few minutes. Some times for a hour or so before backing up to form a triangle. Once they form a triangle they look to be connected to one another as they start to spin in a circle as a triangle. They spin around in a circle and slowly move in another direction. When this happens it is like a stopping point for all of the other crafts. Each one comes from another direction to meet up with the brighter one that formed the triangle and after meeting them it returns to another area to do it again. I can see anywhere from 10 to 30 in one night some times. I saw several in just a hour. I burn large piles of tree limbs and they seem to come out from everywhere when that happens. My mother is scared to the point where she will not go outside at night. When you see 8 or 9 flying lights over your head just setting there not moveing to much it is weard. I just need to find out what they are. Some look to be a sphere with lots of light from red to a white strop to even a green! lazer light. But I have called several airports and they said! that th ey have no where near that many planes in the air at night. I have seen about 4 land in the fields and sand pits in the area. It lights up the woods like the sun itself.

Small red and white lights hovering arond area for hours,comeing together as a triangle, moveing west with night fall

I know its getting to you but I really need your help. I’m trying everything I can to record these things flying around my house almost every freakn night. There is no way they are just planes because these things just set in the same spots for hours sometime before slowly moveing off. Some look like really bright stars but if you watch them among other star you can see they move around a lot. I was able to catch 2 on my recorder at night fall and one of the really bright ones at night. My recorder won’t work to good at night so stars show up but the light does. There seem to be 2 different types of flying objects. One has 2 whits light and smaller red ones between the white ones. The other is several small white and red lights that look to rotate in cirles like its spinning. I star to see them at night fall and on thru the night. A lot of times the smaller one form a triangle when they get in that form they seem to go off in another direction but come back later on and separate and go in different directions. I just need help to figure out how to record them or catch them. It is Sunday night and I started watching them about 8:30pm til around 1:00am and I counted 22 sightings. I don’t know if it was the same ones leaveing and comeing back but I have seen up to 6 in the sky at the same time. They cross one another and come within feet of one another and just stop and set there for a few minutes then take off again. I can’t see air planes getting that close. The one I recorder in day light looks like a mirror flying by it was so bright. At that moment there was 3 in the air but I could only get one clearly because my recorder wouldn’t zoom in any more plus they are fast to follow. I even got what looked like a jet following that one but left the jet way behind. I never thought That stuff like that was real but after I saw the first one I kept looking up and on a clear night I could see a lot of them. If they are planes then ! I guess every plane in the area goes over my house. What gets ! me is ho w many there is and how low they are. Plus they seem to just set in spots for along time. Everytime I try to record or watch them they stay at the edge of the clouds and for some reason my recorder battery dies within minutes. I only recorder like 10 minutes all together and the battery was dead after being fully charged. Its never done that til now. During the day if they are close you start to record but the object doesn’t show up in the recorder but the streamer is still there. You know how jets leave a cloud streamer behind them. Well, these do to but that’s all you can see in the camera but you can clearly see the object with your eyes. Plus my recorder uses the tape to record and dew at night messes with the camera so it hard to do. But I did get the really bright one where all of the other smaller ones meet up at before flying off. I need help figuring out how to catch better recordings of these so I can prove what Im saying. The few recordings I have are not enou! gh for me. If I have to I’ll buy a better recorder because these aren’t planes. I’ve watched them for almost a month. But they seem to be returning more than before or I just noticed it. I’ve watched them every night for 2 weeks. Even on cloudly nights you can see them sometimes. From 8pm til midnight is the best I’ve seem. I put a spot light on one and about 4 can back and just circled around for about a hour before moveing away. I did notice that when they form a triangle the lights look almost orange and brighter but I’ve only seem that twice in a week. Please reply or tell me how to catch a clear view to show others.

Bright lights look like a star, moves fast and stops, circles a standard craft, they circle the area and return to larger craft several

I’ve never reported anything I’ve seen until now and it’s hard to believe but I had to report this. It has happened 2 times before and I never said anything. There is a set of lights that stay in a standard spot but moves around alittle each night I see it. The smaller crafts move around a lot and move in several directions but always comes back to the standard one.

The smaller crafts move around low to the ground compaired to normal plains and there isn’t any sound at all which is weard. Also, they seem to stop from time to time and lower down some then take back off up and in another direction. The slow down and stop for several minutes before moveing on again. I have seem up to 8 in one night. At first they look like stars but they move alittle then they get closer and you start to see the lights. They are very small crafts and have a white light on each side that is white and turns red. Sometimes they flash. The middle has a small white light and a red one. Like I said there is not any sound and they move super fast some times but normally very slow and low to the ground but I put a light on it and it was gone in seconds. It was almost effortless for it. They go in one direction til its out of site then comes back about 20 minutes later and meets the standard craft. From there they go into another direction and returns. They do a odd thing sometimes, they line up with a star and just set there until another comes up and they fly off again.

I have seen this two times before but they did not stay in the area this long. It's been several hours and they keep returning to the standard craft. I thought the large craft was a star for most of the night til I noticed it was moveing around more. The small crafts can set still for long amounts of time and when they lower down you cant hear any sound at all. I tried to take a picture with my phone but I couldn’t find them in the screen to record them.

It has been several hours now and the standard craft is still there. The smaller ones are still returning just like before. They are always around the large clouds when they are seen. It is like they try and stay behind the cloud and the smaller ones leave when they large one gets behind the clouds. It sometimes looks as if the clouds just stop when that happens. Its not like anything I have ever seen but if it still keeps happening I’ll see them again because this is weard and has happened before. I ready would like to know whats going on and why there is small crafts surrounding the area and why here because there isn’t much in this area.

Thank you for reading this. I have been watching these things for some time and several times a month. One even landed a few miles down the road. After following it to a dirt path and as I came to the end where it was at there was a gate that said it was an animal reserve. I have lived here my whole life and never heard of that being there. The other I got on tape with a jet following it but was left behind after the object went to fast for the jet to keep up with it. It was as bright as a star and sometimes it seems to get as bright as the sun. It is so bright and fast. If the sky is right you can see a tail of smoke from it when it goes fastest. I have it in the day time on video also of the jet behind it.

Several unidentified objects where seen on this day from my home in Wilson, NC

On Sunday, January 09, 2011 at about 11:40 am, I was lying on my bed which faces a window in my bedroom, and from my bedroom window, a series of very bright lights caught my attention.

I immediately looked out of the window and observed approximately 30-40 circular shapes in the sky with bright lights.

I was the only person to my knowledge that saw this and I immediately called 911, they gave me a number to the FAA 1-866-835-5322, to no avail. I had someone go online and found this site.

There was no noise, just the lights they were extremely bright. Just as quick as I saw them, they went away… I am not crazy! I know what I saw.

Star shaped light blinking and rotating - then two of same lights after cloud went over and began to move

Last evening, October 1, 2008, at approximately 8:00 p.m. I was walking my dog in the Country Club area of Wilson, NC (40 miles east of Raleigh, NC). The sky was semi-clear with a few occasional clouds. As I looked up a saw a light hovering – not overhead – but in front of me, probably about the height of a airplane midway down to landing. The thing that caught my attention was that this light wasn’t moving – it literally was hovering. As I walked along and got focused on the light it looked like a star-shaped light (individual lights in the shape) at the bottom that were blinking/rotating. I thought it was odd as I have never in my 52 years seen something in the sky that resembled this kind of light.

After a few minutes of staring at this light a cloud went over it. When the light reappeared it then looked like there were two sets of star-shaped lights that were blinking and rotating. After the second set of lights appeared the object began to move southward in the sky at a much greater rate than I have ever seen an airplane. I watched it for a minute or so and then the lights disappeared.

I telephoned the non-emergency 911 number but was told no one else had reported seeing this light. I am sending in this report just because I know this was not an airplane. I have Googled all morning what kind of object would have this type of lighting on the bottom but all I have come up with are unidentified flying objects - -

2 dark cigar shaped objects in night sky

We were driving home from the store when we saw them. There were 2 that we could see. There were no lights, just dark shapes. We have an almost full moon right now and you could see their profile near the moon. We slowed down and watched them all the way down the road. They didn't seem to be moving.

Unusual ball of light flashed in the sky

When I stepped outside to smoke cig I saw helicopter in distance so I went to edge of porch to look at it flying by. After it went further away I saw bright blue/white flash with pale green around it above our house for split second but I couldn't get better look at it. About 30 seconds later I saw 2nd flash and tried to take better look at it this time. It look like some kind of ball of lighting but it's not very bright. It look strange because I never see anything like that before. I don't know if it's UFO or something else but I decided to report it anyway.

Myself and two others witnessed a strange object over North Carolina skies.

My girlfriend and I were going home from an event and as we arrived home we noticed a object in the sky. We first thought it may have been a blimp but the more we watched this object move we knew it was not. This object moved slow at times then fast with sudden stops and would hover for a few seconds then move out of sight then back again. The object was for the most part dark but it was a clear night and we could see the object clearly against the night sky. I would say that it was no more than 500 yards away during the time we saw it. It most surely had a metalic look to it but not very shiney. We watched this for a good two minutes or so and as fast as it came it was gone. The object to me looked to be more of a tube shape like a paper towel roll. This left both of us speachless for several minutes. We live in a small city but at that time of night there were few people out. We were in a well lit parking area and our front yard at the time of the sighting. My friend who was visiting from out of state also witnessed this but for only a few seconds as he arrived at our apartment after we did. He was awstruck with the object and had many questions but we were just as puzzled.

We tracked a large cigar shaped object accross town until it went out of view over the treeline.

As we exited off the highway to go into the city, I spotted the big, bright light in the sky. It was straight ahead of us about 150 feet off the ground and about 2 miles away. The sky was thinly veiled in clouds, the crescent moon and some stars still visible behind them. The light we saw was almost as large as the crescent moon and almost as bright.It was on the underside of the clouds, and was clearly visible. It was a cigar shape and moved with as we drove into the city. We were traveling at 60 mph. and as the object flew with us, covered a much greater distance in the same time. I would guess it traveled about 150 mph. We got caught at what seemed like every stop light trying to follow the light as it passed over the town and away toward the next town. We kept up the best we could and finally lost sight of it as it disapeared over the tree line about 5 miles away. At this point, we were way out in the country and no roads lead in the direction the object flew. Just farm and swampland. The object must have been of huge dimensions as we could tell it was always at least a couple miles away for most of the chase, but was still as big as moon. I tried to call the local airport to see if they had any anomolous aircraft on radar, but no one answered the phone.

UFO SEEN HOOVERING IN A NEARBY FIELD

It resembled a flying saucer and was very large in size.

It's width was about the size of three houses. The bottom never touched the ground. It was just hoovering above the ground. It never made a sound, neither did it produce any wind around it. Put it this way; It was so quiet that you could hear the crickets outside. The sky was so clear that you could see the stars that night. It never came out of the nearby field where we had spotted it until we began to move.(we had paused beside the road when we saw it) When we began to move into the opposite direction that we were traveling, it also moved into that direction also. It was a very bright object that had small windows all the way around it. We never really got the chance to see the back of the ufo but I do Know that it's shape never changed. It was very calm and didn't appear to be harmful. It did follow us about a mile down the road and never came close. I do believe that it was aware of us. After awhile it later took off with excessive speed across some nearby trees. The only thing visible then was a bright light similar to the moon. It shot off in the air upward.

At night, a group of about five independently-moving lights, changing directions instantly in straight paths.

The lights were difficult to see, like very dim stars. If I hadn’t been looking for dim stars in the exact spot I was looking, I wouldn’t have noticed them. They appeared to be the same brightness, color, and distance of the stars. (I know stars are at all different distances from Earth, but this is the best way to describe their appearance.) It was a clear night in early summer. There were many visible stars, no moon. Myself and my friend (about 20 years old), were watching the sky from a field in the countryside. I noticed the lights and was able to direct my friend to see them. We both watched them and discussed how they were moving. We agreed there were no aircrafts that could move like that. We saw them for at least 15 minutes, but it could have been longer.

They did not move in regular patterns. Each light would move independently. They were not traveling across the sky, they were staying in a proximate area, never moving very far from each other. This was easy to see because of the abundance of visible stars around and behind them.

Each light would move in a straight path, at a steady speed, and then change direction immediately. The light would not slow down or change speeds mid-flight. The direction-change was immediate. They did not curve.

A light would sometimes become more faint and then brighter again. (I assumed this to be it moving further and closer from us.) Their speeds could vary at each direction change. (I assumed this to be a result of the angle they were moving relative to Earth). I don’t remember if they ever stood still. Their speed was not too fast to watch, (Not like a cat chasing a rapidly-moved laser pointer.) though I’m sure they were moving at high speeds. Our distance from them made them easy to track.

The lights eventually became too faint to see, but not all at once. I assumed this to be a result of the group moving further away from us.

We agreed that the movements were intentional (controlled by some intelligence - presumably the pilots of the crafts). But could this have been some naturally occurring phenomenon? If so, I’d assume someone would know about it, or it would be common knowledge. After all, there are astronomers who study space for a living.

As I said, I believe these moving lights were controlled by an intelligence. Not because they were doing anything logical, but just that they were deliberate and unmistakably calculated. If these were actually government crafts being tested or whatever, I don’t see what their tests could have been proving. Furthermore, why would they have 5 of them up there? If they were testing, wouldn’t they just have one craft? Or two? I don’t kow.

If they were alien craft, I still don’t see how those ‘acrobatics’ could have had a useful purpose. Unless they were just joyriding in their crafts, like some of us do after a fresh snow. We saw this 8-12 years ago - don’t remember. Haven’t seen anything like it since.

Cylinder-shaped object hovering and darting, at a consistent 45-degree angle, observed for 20 minutes. No wings, no running lights.

My one and only UFO sighting happened nearly 30 years ago. It was a mild fall Oklahoma night in 1981, somewhat cloudy. I was outside in the yard of my boyhood home when I noticed what looked like a white shaft of light, angled at about 45 degrees, casually hovering up and down in the sky against the eastern horizon. Methodically, it would rise and then, slowly, steadily, it would drop, and then rise again, repeating this pattern, while I strained to figure out what it was.

After performing the up-and-down hovering motion for a few minutes, the object instantly and noiselessly darted from the eastern horizon to directly overhead, stopped in midflight, and then shot back near to its starting point—where it continued to hover briefly before starting a sequence of movements across the sky, zipping from one horizon to another, stopping, starting, hovering, darting—always maintaining a 45-degree tilt.

After about 10 minutes of watching (or being watched; I wasn’t sure which), I grabbed a pair of binoculars that I knew to be in a vehicle parked in the driveway.

After a few frustrating moments of trying to train the binoculars on the object before it moved, it finally settled into one spot in the sky, almost directly overhead.

As it hovered silent and stationary overhead, I could clearly see a cylinder shaped object, the color of polished aluminum. It glowed from the inside out, illuminating the sky evenly all around it. There were no windows, no running lights or gear, no wings. It was smooth and polished, one piece, solid.

As I held the binoculars steady, the object suddenly vanished. But as I continued to focus the binoculars on the same spot, seconds later, the object reappeared as suddenly as it had disappeared. Moments later, it began to dart around again.

Finally, the object sped away toward the south, gone within a couple of seconds, without a sound.

Metallic Cigar shaped Object

Metallic Cigar shaped Object with indentation on top in middle seen north of my position at high altitude heading northwest a slow speed. After watching for 5 min changed direction to north sun reflected from object traveled out of sight after 5 more min. Estimate was at 10,000 ft going about 200 mph size about 300 ft long 30 ft high. Sky was clear about 1 hour before sunset.
