Multiple small pieces of reflective material moving fluidly like a flock of birds high in the sky

Driving north on highway 285, a reflection of sunlight caught my eye, except it was coming from the north instead of the direction of the sun. I looked up and saw a very unfamiliar sight. The reflection was coming from what sort of looked like a flock of birds similar to how starlings could move (fluid but creating beautiful patterns while flying roughly in the same area). So I first thought they must be some sort of bird flock that looks very white and could possibly reflect sunlight, but I’m not sure of any birds that fit that description and this was very high in the sky. I continued to watch it move around and continued on. Two other things to note, cell service dropped off right before I saw the thing and there were other cars there, just traveling south. When I looked back in my mirror, I could not see the thing anymore. The observer is a college graduate with no history of observing anything like this and is aware of how crazy this sounds.

Bright stationary star suddenly disappears instantly

My husband and I were looking East off our porch at a bright star we suspected may be a planet because it looked somewhat similar in brightness and size as Mars, which was near it. It was lower on the horizon but still up in the sky, not high up though. We however didn’t remember another planet being in that area and were intrigued by this new, planet looking star. As we are watching it, the once steady intensity of light starts to somewhat fluctuate, dimming and then getting brighter, also subtly changing colors but still staying in the same spot. We commented on how it reminded us of Sirius, maybe it was Sirius we thought. It still seemed unusually bright and it really looked a lot like Mars but not red. As we are suspecting that must be the case, it literally disappears instantly from the sky! It was gone in an instant, my husband and I both saw it at the same time disappear. It did not come off as a ship or flying object however, it looked like a bright star provided its intensity and fixed position. Which is why we were so shocked when it suddenly disappeared.

Large object, resembling a flat iron, sat motionless off the highway.

We were hauling a load of heating oil, eastbound from Stanley, on RT 2, when my partner called my attention to an unusual object on the north side of the highway. The object resembled a dark colored flat iron, approximately 75’ wide, and close to 100’ long. From top to bottom, I’d say it was 30', and it appeared to be sitting on hundreds of points, or legs, which kept it between 15’ and 20’ off the ground.

Weather at the time, about 12:04 PM, was 19 degrees Fahrenheit, wind blowing from the north at 16 mph, gusting 23 mph, and the skies were overcast.

I radioed the police department, back in Stanley, back at City Hall, and let them know what we had seen. They said that another caller had notified them about the object, and that a deputy was in route to the location.

appeared as a star or planet however remained static in the daylight sky ~30degrees off horizon for ~7hrs

Sightings from 8Aug2020 from the White Clouds Wilderness of Central Idaho [closest city is Stanley, ID] 1st sighting at 1250 MDT 44°02'40.3"N 114°37'54.0"W, at approximately 10,000ft in the White Clouds Wilderness of Idaho [Born Lakes trail near Warm Springs Creek cutoff]. The object was approximately 30° off the horizon in the ESE sky and appeared like a star or planet at dusk or dawn, however this sighting occurred in broad daylight under bluebird skies and full sunlight.

2nd sighting at 1533 MDT 44°02'40.3"N 114°37'54.0"W, at approximately 9400ft in the White Clouds Wilderness of Idaho [Fourth of July Lake]. Again, the object was approximately 30° off the horizon in the ESE sky and continued in appearance similar to a star or planet at dusk or dawn, however this sighting occurred in broad daylight under bluebird skies and full sunlight.

Observations continued until approximately 2000 MDT, at which point the object disappeared over the ESE horizon, ruling out a either a star or planet, supernova event, etc. Also, the object appeared static relative to the motion of the earth for the ~7hr period of observations.

I was watching the sunrise on my way home and looking at the pretty colors and all of a sudden I noticed some lights just under the clouds. They looked like they where blinking white lights. It looked to have more lights on the bottom like a triangle shape. It was hard to see a object, just lights. It stayed there for a couple minutes and went back up into the clouds. Never seen anything like it before.

I seen about 75 lights appear in the sky heading in an East direction over about a 25 minute time span. Groups of 7 at a time. The appeared at a certain spot in the sky and kept coming out of it. I was able to view 1 cigar shaped craft with 2 lights on it. Several stopped in the sky and began moving again. Very scary. I thought we were being attacked.

3 red flashing lights followed by 1 white strobe like light

While driving I saw 3 red flashing lights followed by a flashing white strobe like light. They appeared to all be in a fairly straight line and moving in the opposite direction I was heading. When discussing this with someone else 40 miles north east, they had described seeing the same thing from there standpoint. I shut the car off to video, and they did have a steady, white noise like sound. They continued in the opposite direction as I continued on my route.

Blinking red light over Stanley, NM.

At approximately 6:25 pm on 11/30/17, I was driving south on Highway 41 and in the town of Stanley, NM. My approximate speed was 50 mph. As I approached the intersection of Stanley road, a large, blinking red light appeared from the west. It was traveling at a high rate of speed and very low to the ground (just above tree level). It literally came out of nowhere, just before it passed over Highway 41 (and over my car), heading due east.

The land around Stanley is flat, and you can see for miles. I don’t know how I could have missed its approach, and after it passed overhead, it didn’t take long (maybe 10 seconds at most) for it to travel 3-5 miles. I didn’t stop my car, and I kept looking to my left to observe the light as much as I could. The last time I saw it, it was near the horizon and had either landed or was very low to the ground.

Worth noting: the moon was still in the eastern sky, and it was very bright and illuminated the sky quite well. Even with this illumination, I couldn’t make out anything other than the light itself - I couldn’t see any shape to determine if this light was attached to an airplane or helicopter. I don’t know of any aircraft that ONLY have one, large, blinking red light, though.

3 alternating color, fast moving lights over Stanley Lake in Stanley, Idaho.

June 25th, 2011, found myself and my brother sitting around a campfire near Stanley Lake, in beautiful Stanley, Idaho. My brother had camped in the area for many years but it was my first time staying in the area. We recounted old stories and watched the stars.

As we viewed the night sky my brother whispered, "Do you see that?" And as I followed his finger I saw what he was asking about. At first it looked like a star but it flashed orange, red, yellow and a lime green color. I've seen stars that flash colors but have always known them to be satellites or far off aircraft; this particular star moved in zig-zagging motions. It zipped in a " Z"-like pattern, very quickly, then vanished below the tree line and out of sight.

We continued watching the night sky and then saw two more "stars" flying in the same pattern and flashing the same colors. We were not under the influence of alcohol, or any other substance, but seeing those strange objects made us feel like we were because it just felt so strange.

My brother is a college student and I'm a recent college graduate. We both heavily enjoy outdoor activities and have never seen anything remotely UFO-ish until just a few days ago. The pattern they moved in and the speed they moved at is what has me convinced that they weren't any human made craft.

Very large bright light in sky hovering, the flew out into space in 5 seconds and was gone.

I live in the middle of 30 acres where there are no lights with a good view of the sky. I just went out to check on my dogs. I looked up into the north west sky and saw a bright light. The size of the light was if you took a normal star and blew it up 10 times and magnified its light by a hundred. There were no flashing lights. I would estimate the hight of the object at about 50 to 60,000 feet based on the hight if the highest jet in the sky. This light made the jets in the sky pale in comparison. I watched the object for a minute or two. It began to move slowly across the sky a short distance. Then it left straight up into outer space and the light faded as it went. It was gone in less than 5 seconds.

Morning object that had a aura around its shape about 7:15 in the morning.

I was taking a morning photo of skyine drive "big meadows" area of the park from our house in Stanley, Virginia. I did not notice this until I was getting ready to send this picture to my wife that I noticed in the upper right cornor of the picture a bright object I know that the moon was not even close nor Mars please zoom near the objectin the picture when I noticed other dark area's which looked like a diamond shape object.

I would like to know what this is I find it very unique.

Series of rectangular burnt orange lights observed at approx 10 PM over Elkton, Va. and were observable from at least 40 miles away.

I was returning home from my son's cub scout meeting in Reston, Virginia. I departed the meeting at 8 PM and arrived in the Luray/Stanley area around 09:50 PM. There was a full moon that might and it was cloudy. I live in Stanley, Va and have to drive through Luray on Route 340 to get to my residence. After I passed through Luray, I then have about 9 miles to drive to my home which equates to around ten minutes. When I passed through Luray, the speed limit is posted to increase to 55 miles per hour. I first noticed the strange lights as I was accelerating, and I thought to myself, "that is strange, it must be a new residence on top one of the moutains in the area because I never noticed it before." So I drove on and I intermittently kept glancing at these lights as they were very bright and large to be a residence. These light kept getting my attention as I was nearing my home. I have to turn left at the Hawksbill restaurant on Route 340 in order to get to my home. When I got to within 1.5 miles of my home, I suddenly realized that these lights were too high in the sky to be a residence on a mountaintop. I slowed my car down to get a real good look at it. My occupation requires me to pay attention to minute detail so my following decription of this object will be very accurate. This object was in the sky at a height of about 4,500 to 7,000 feet. (this is much higher than the surrounding mountains) The appearance was rather strange in that I could not visually detect any outline. (no top, sides or bottom) What I did see was a series of rectangular shaped lights, emanating a burnt orange color. The lights were not moving or spinning, just completely stationary. The arrangement of these lights is what gave the indication of some type of craft. The rectaglular shapes were of a very crisp appearance, in other words, the corners were very sharp. Taking into consideration of their estimated altitude and how big they were, equates to this object being very large. I am estimati! ng that the opject had to be at least two to three football fields in size. (600 to 900 yards) The rectangular lights were all uniform in that the top was wider than the bottom, and the sides were the longest length. This gave the appearance that the lights were either tapering at angle on the craft or thery were flat and were actually trapezoidal. There were about 7 or 9 lights and the ones in the middle were much larger that the ones on each end. This then equates to the lights giving the appearamce of being on the surface of craft and due to the sequential difference in the size of lights in the middle to the lights on each end, the craft then had the appearance of being triangular. When I realized that I was now a witness to something highly unusual I raced home to get my camcorder, but when I came back out to take some video it was gone. I have since did some backgound investigation on my own. I checked the locals around the area and a few people did say that there was someting seen that night and it was directly over Elkton, Virginia. Elkton is about 30 miles from Stanley and the direction of object I observed in relation to where Elkton is, matches up. I then checked three local newspapers both in reading and phone calls and there was nothing reported. I called the Elkton local police and the Elkton Sheriffs office and nothing was reported. I wish to get anyone else whom was a witness to this event on the 10th of Sep at 10 PM over Elkton, Va that could be seen from a circular observable area estimated to have an approximate diameter of 50 miles. (This estimation of the viewing area results from my initial sighting occurring just south of Luray, Virginia.)
