An irregualr shaped object with two streams of smoke or fire coming out

We noticed the craft immediately because it was something neither of us have seen (we live near several airports) The irregular object was heading upwards to the sky and appeared as if it was spinning. The strangest part was that there were two lines of either smoke or fire coming out of the craft. We lost it when it went behind a cloud. Almost immediately after a giant aircraft looking plane passed the ufos line of motion.

Red sphere abruptly disappeared.

Family (two adults in their mid 40s and two children ages 13 and 11) in backyard. We all observed a bright red, spherical light moving vertically (upward) in the sky overhead. Observed the red light for approximately 45 seconds until it abruptly vanished. There is a fair amount of air traffic in the area (notwithstanding COVID) as we are close to JFK International Airport, however, we have never observed an aircraft “disappear” as abruptly and without traveling across the horizon as air traffic typically does. There was no sound. The sky was partly cloudy, however, we were able to observe all air other traffic through the clouds as they traversed the sky.

Silent red light moved across the sky from south to north, changed course, and went off to the northwest.

I was outside watering the lawn and saw a reddish light in the eastern sky, moving from south to north. It was silent and it moved more slowly than a plane.

As it reached an area to the north, it changed direction and moved to the northwest and disappeared.

We are college educated mature homeowners and have lived on Long Island our whole lives.

5 orange flashing UFO's

My father, my two brothers and I were leaving my uncles house after visiting a new edition to the family.

When we walked outside, I looked into the sky thinking there was a bunch of stars out but the lights I saw were flashing and gliding in a downward motion. They were 3 flashing lights in one area, another on the far left and another in the far right all gliding through the air.

The 3 in the middle were making a shape of an upside down triangle and they kept gliding towards the ground until they left our sight .

observed a slow moving dark triangle against a clear blue sky 8/22/12

Observed 1 dark triangular object traveling slowly across the sky. The object had sharp edges which we distinct against the clear blue sky. The object was moving too slowly to be a plane or helicopter and was completely silent. The base of the object was wide and the top was the point of the triangle which rules out balloons. Got a decent picture . Wish I could post it here.

Large metalic object hovering 30-50ft off the ground,short beam coming down to ground.

My friend and I were riding our bikes in North Merrick NY on October 1st 2008 at about 1:00 AM. It was a quiet day with lots of clouds, it rained later that day. We were just riding around and we noticed a large metallic disk with a rounded top just hovering.

There was no sound emitted from the object. We saw it for about 5 seconds and then at gold beam shot down from the bottom of the object and then the object shot off as fast as I’ve ever seen anything go. It was like it disappeared completely in a flash. We never saw it again and we called 2 of our other friends to look for things like broken twigs or burned things. We took 4 cell phone pictures of the area were it was seen which we can not upload.

Hovering red glowing oval craft observed over high school.

my mom and i observed a giant red glowing oval shaped craft hovering over Calhoun highschool at about 8 PM. We watched it on our bikes for about 5 minutes, then it shot off at an extreme speed and dissapeared. The craft was hovering maybe 100 feet off the ground. we looked at the area and found no trail.

there was a very large oval shaped object with a bright red glowing bottom

My mom and I were riding our bikes around calhoun highschool parking lot at about 8:45pm. There were about 20 other people riding bikes and jogging on the track that did not notice anything. I was infront of my mom riding along and i looked at the sky and there was a very large oval shape with a very bright red bottom. this is not a very isolated area with many people. The rest of the craft was a silvery metalic color. There were no wings or anything on it. it was going very slow moving,just hovering over the trees. we only saw it for about 20 seconds,then it disapeared into the trees. the craft did not have a sond or anything like that.

Father's Day Sighting, Long Island, NY

My daughter, girlfriend and I we’re eating dinner in my backyard when I spotted what looked like a brown/rust balloon rising to the west. Then I realized it wasn’t a balloon because it was moving way to fast on a steady line eastward. It passed over my viewing spot and continued to the east. Other than an oval shape I could not make out any wings, nor was there a vapor trail. Neither of the other two witnesses could identify the shape.

4 elliptical lit objects surrounded by a haze/halo, proceeding to individually dive, climb, zigzag. Lasted about 45 minutes.

I went outside, to my backyard, at approximately 12:15 AM. I was sitting on a chair on my deck, facing east, towards Bellmore, when I noticed an elliptical shaped light/object moving at a high rate of speed across the sky, followed by another. It was not a shooting star, as I have seen those before. These were much, much larger! The objects were behind a haze that was in front of the objects. The sky had some cloud cover, but there was also clear patches of sky. The objects had a haze/halo in front of them, even in the portions of the sky that were not cloudy. At first, they passed in a straight line, with a short distance between them. One of them was brighter than the others, at times. They were larger, very much larger, than an aircraft. I called my husband to see them, and after about 2 seconds, he promptly dismissed the lights as the type of lights at a grand opening, and he went to bed. However, there was no beam going up to where the objects were, and the objects were not rounded, as grand opening large beams of light. I have seen grand opening beams, but never like what I witnessed in the sky, on Saturday night. I began to time the lights in the sky, to see if there was any kind of pattern to their movements, but there was no pattern. Another object then joined the other two, and several minutes later, a fourth object joined them. They appeared to be following each other. At this point, I didn’t think much of it, but my curiosity riveted me to the spot, as I have never seen anything like it in my life.

I live on the water, on the wide estuary that separates Merrick from Bellmore, a few hundred feet down from where Newbridge Park meets the water, so I had a clear view, with no tree line to obstruct my vision. The objects then switched from flying in more or less a straight line, to doing what I can only term as insane acrobatic type movements. They were individually zigzagging, diving, and going every which way, in steep ascents and descents. They weren’t following each other, at this point, but each doing *their own thing*. I watched as they came together (all 4 objects seemed to meld into one), for a few seconds, and then they split apart and began diving, climbing, and crossing the sky in a way I have never seen anything fly, dive, climb, in my entire life. This scenario kept being repeated.

I phoned the police, to see if there were any events that might have large lights being beamed into the sky. The police had no knowledge of any events, nor would such events be permitted at such a late hour, due to local ordinances. I went back outside and continued to watch the scenario playing before my eyes, totally fascinated. I did not feel fear, nor did I feel any strange sensations, other than an amazing curiosity. I called the police about 15- 20 minutes later, asking if anyone else had reported seeing what I saw, but no one reported it. (They probably thought I was nuts-I was beginning to think so, myself!) They asked if I wanted a car to come to my home, but I declined, as there was nothing to be done about whatever it was that was in the sky, and they would assume I was a real nut case.. Two airplanes flew over my house during this time, one small plane, and one commercial jetliner. That only served to confirm that what I was seeing was not an airplane. The lights were as different in size and shape, as night and day, as was the altitude.

I grabbed a regular flashlight, and one of those powerful beam flashlights, to see if I could duplicate what I was seeing, with the idea that perhaps it was kids playing with flashlights, across the water. With both the regular flashlight, and the beam flashlight, I could not shine a beam up without seeing the path of the beam. In another words, I saw a trail of light on the beam going up, as I was shining it, whereas, whatever was up there, had no beam leading up to it. What ever the heck it was that I saw, seemed to be creating its own light. Furthermore, the light from the flashlight and the beam light would not go even a fraction as high as the light that was coming from these objects.

My next thought was heat lightening, but this was not like any heat lightening I had ever seen. These were individual, specific lights, despite the halos around them. Heat lightening crossed my mind, as a possibility, due to the haze/halo around the objects, but then realized heat lightening was quite different than what I was observing, not being individual lights.

About 12:45 I went upstairs and got into bed. My 6-foot bedroom casement windows faced the area of the sky in which the acrobatics were taking place, so I watched from my bed. At 1:08 A.M, I became so fascinated by what I was observing, that I decided to get my binoculars, so I could try to see more clearly, to try to solve the mystery that was playing out before my eyes. I went downstairs to get my binoculars, but when I came back upstairs, the objects had vanished.

I am a mature adult, a 58-year-old woman, and had no drinks at dinner or after dinner, other than a diet coke. I rarely ever have a drink, and then, only a beer, on occasion. I feel like a fool reporting this, but I know what I saw, and have never seen anything like it in my entire life. I sure wish someone could find a rational explanation for what I observed.. I have not seen the objects again, since Saturday night, but I will tell you that I am very hesitant to go outside again, alone, late at night, after what I witnessed. I wasn’t afraid, then, as my curiosity left no room for fear, that night, but now, I would not be comfortable being alone outside, late at night. I sure as heck hope you will tell me someone had an opening event with weird lights, despite the local ordinances, but I truly do not believe this was the case...

Reading text of Lufthansa Pilots sighting that night, jogged my memory, of my own sighting that night.

At 21:00 or so, i stepped onto my deck. It was crystal clear, cold night. looking up at the stars. I observed a dark (BLACK) chevron shape obscuring the stars as it moved silently and slowly, across the cold night sky.

Moving from north and traveling due south, it made no sound whatsoever.

Slowly, its shape 'cranked', as the wings began to swing inward.(like variable wing geometry type aircraft). Speed remained the same and noiseless.

As the shape of the object changed, it became slightly sleeker. I observed a peculiar fluorescent contrail rolled off the trailing edges of both 'wings.' It looked like two yellowish twirling pasta noodles, (each roughly 1\3 the length of the trailing edge of the objects wing'), that fell slowly away from the dark object.

These slowly grew darker, and dissapated, but kept the twirling, rolling motion, until they were completely gone.

Within about 1-2 minutes, it was out of sight and headed out over the water.
